SINBAD NO BOUKEN SPOILERS

I’ve always found insane how just after the fall of Sindria was a two year time skip where Sinbad disappeared and everyone had to work hard and process the loss of so many friends in their own way, they literally had to recover from watching their family, friends and all the people they promised asylum get slaughter in front of them WHILE they had to deal with the political and economical situation Sindria was left in or in Sinbads case take all the dark rukh and isolating himself.

BUT IN THE MANGA THEY JUST SKIP IT, SINBAD GAVE A SPEACH AND MOVE ON???? :C (it was more complex of course but???? only that????) i need a fic about it because i’m not a good writer but(????? i get SnB has a small fandom but i can only remember one (1) time i’ve seen some talk about it.

In Marga's room, the room shakes and Marga wakes up and droopily looks around. Marga: Uh...uh Is it the end of the world? Is it go bomb? Marga falls back asleep.

Back in the living room Ja'far: Ah...um...Sin? Sinbad gets up with a bloodied face. Sinbad: I see how it is, sis. You would even hurt me for trying to stop you from kissing him...Cuz that's just how badly you want to smear your lips all over this guy! Sinbad breaks down crying. Sinbad: I was a fool to think I was testing you. What was really being tested were my own feelings. Kouen: Hey, uh, you know you're bleeding, right? Sinbad: Ren Kouen! For now my sister's lips are all yours. Ja'far: Wh-what?!?!?! Ja'far slaps Sinbad again, spiraling him back into the wall. Ja'far: What are you talking about?! Ja'far turns away, and cries into palms. Sinbad: Well. I'll let you win this round. But don't forget... Kouen: Bleeding...still... Kouen: *thinking* Is this just normal for them? Ja'far: Are you alright, Sin? You look like you're about to fall over. Kouen: ...you're one to talk... Sinbad: Hey! You're about to collapse. They collapse on each other and hold each other up. Ja'far: Should I call you a taxi? Sinbad: I said I'm fine. You are such a worrywart. Kouen: Oh...Woah there. Sinbad and Ja'far wobble, but Kouen helps them stay up. Sinbad glares at Kouen. Sinbad: What's with that smirk? Is my failure that amusing to you? Kouen: Oh. No. I was just admiring your bond. You must have always been there for each other. Sinbad and Ja'far's hands tighten on each other's backs of their shirts. Kouen: Sinbad. Thank you for protecting Ja'far until now. I know it can't have been easy for you. Mtl requiem showed us the fact that even after Magnus's attack, and Nathan hitting the shit out of him, then Magnus eventually getting fired, Pickles was set in the scene as the leader. Not the lead vocalist, the drummer. And I am absolutely feral about it. We could really see his brutal, death metal, dethklok side, and the fact that he was the one who became the mother is just the cherry on top.

Nathan is working on his "modern day" muscle mass, Murderface is working on himself to look more menacing, and Pickles here absolutely controls the band. He's the one to tell (the viewers and) Skwisgaar that they need another guitarist. Except if he can compete against everyone. He's making sure that nobody can ever defeat them after "losing" Magnus. And the plus about it is that noone seems to have a problem with it. They are letting him to do all this.

If I'd write down all the symbolism that I can see into this with their family-titles, then I'd never end this post and it would possibly turn into an au fic, but hot damn... Pickles is a power mom. (Not just that, he's the cool mom who you can find pictures of being in a band (snb), looking like a heartstopper).

And this is the same mf who's holding a cat like it's a baby, and lets them play with his hair. Because he's also a loving mom. MMMMMM

Bob had been back on North Island from the uranium mission for about a week when they got the news the dagger squad would become a permanent fixture at Top Gun. Anticipation thrummed through him all day as he waited for her call, he hadn’t seen her in weeks and he couldn’t wait to have his family back. After a long day in the air he stepped out of the jet and onto the tarmac, hearing the sweetest voice he’d ever heard calling to him from the hangar. There in the doorway was a gangly 13 year old girl, red hair, freckles, braces and frames just like Bob’s, tearing across the tarmac with squeals as she ran into the arms of her father. He and Ellie had been in their senior year of high school when she got pregnant with Nora, both just terrified kids themselves but they had thrived under the pressure, completing their respective universities and starting their careers with their little one in tow, and now here she was, his little angel all grown up, sometimes it broke his heart how fast the time had flown. The remaining squad members on the tarmac all gawked at him, they knew he had kids but they’d all assumed they were toddlers, not a teenager who was nearly as tall as her 6’1” father. Not too far behind her were 3 more kids, Nathan who was 7, Wyatt who was 4, and little 2 year old Brady, toddling behind as fast as his tiny legs could carry him. He scooped all of them up with Nora’s help, peering behind them to find his beautiful wife, 6 months pregnant with their newest addition and glowing like an angel sent from heaven. God he loved his life.

got sad today thinking of the parallel between Nathan feeling stuck with the band in aotd and Pickles feeling like he's got nothing if he doesn't have the band in Dethdinner (S4E10).

the fact that (for a moment, at least) the band meant shit to Nathan while for Pickles it was everything he had is uuugh i'm sorry i just Love when two characters are really the two sides of the same coin.

and it's so consistent with their characters too! Nathan has a loving supporting family and he kinda desires a simple happy life ("what regular people have") while Pickles despises his family (because they're assholes to him) and never shows interest in anything outside his present lifestyle with Dethklok.

by Dethdinner Pickles had already cut ties with everyone in his family, the last being his mom who he told to go fuck herself. in that episode (motherklok, S4E4) he's even shown to not even care about career/professional success, all he cares about is people appreciating him. all he wanted was for his mom to stop treating him like shit and finally acknowledge the things that he's doing or at the very least trying to do. and despite Nathan destroying the album and not apologizing as he continued to take the drummer for granted, Pickles kept going and going. only at the very end of the antepenultimate episode of the last season Pickles breaks down and quits. and of course he does. he no longer feels comfortable in the band and is not willing to continue being overlooked. but he says it, very clearly and very sadly: he's got nothing left. the band was everything he had.

and for fuck's sake, he even gives Nathan a chance to make things right. one apology, one single apology and he would go back to the band without a second thought. you see how desperate this man is for the smallest amount of appreciation from the only people left in his life??? yes don't even get me started on how it's visible in SnB II how hurt Pickles is when his ex-bandmates and ex-FRIENDS got a restraining order on him and everything. all this makes it even more painful when he calls Nathan greedy and how he just "takes and takes". yes they are both in the most famous band in the world and all but in Pickles mind Nathan still has so much more than him.

in summary yeah i was happy when Pickles slapped Nathan in aotd and the latter finally acknowledged once again the band's importance to him. good shit.

monday's child legacy challenge

judging by the influx of addams on the gallery lately, by now i'm sure ~everyone~ has seen the new WEDNESDAY series.. i loved seeing all the creations, be it households, builds or cc - but what i was inspired to do was create my first game challenge; it's not particularly inspiring and i'm unsure if it's doable at all, i suspect i'm mostly putting it on proverbial paper to direct this nursery rhyme somewhere concrete, since it insists on lingering in my mind

i know in the ocean of challenges there is a days-of-the-week challenge already but i don't think their similiar, feel free to check for yourself

i considered making GEN 1:MONDAY > GEN2:MONDAY'S-CHILD/TUESDAY and so on, to extend it to one more generation, but prefered to keep it faithful to it's origins instead

There's no structure to this (I did say I would be rambling to be fair)

Him and Seth are twins and his parents don't remember who is actually older but they switch it depending on the situations

Ex. "Respect your older brother!" vs "You have to look out for your younger brother."

I personally hc he's FTM and did shit like cut his hair and steal Seth's clothes until his parents just gave up and bought what he'd wear (It's not like they actually give a shit about him cuz they're the WORST)

I think SnB was like fairly short lived? I think that's canon but it's MTL there's no reason fucking timeline. Regardless. He left at 16 but when it fell apart he had to move back in with his parents and that's when he finished HS and then got the fuck out of there again.

He, god bless him, will never fucking learn to give up on his parents. (I relate. It's hard accepting your family is shitty and harder to cut them out) He will keep reaching out, he helps his parents when they ask, he still throws Seth more than he deserves now and then.

He wanted to have more of a leadership role when Dethklok formed given his experience but found it really easy to for the most part let Nathan take the lead.

Him and Magnus for SURE had history. They got messy divorce written all over them. He thought Magnus flipping out like he did came out of no where but the more he thought about it he kind of realized he'd been making excuses for him. He was his friend and lover Just like with family it's hard to accept someone you love might just fucking suck. (Disclaimer: I'm not saying Magnus as a character is the same to Pickles shitty family. He's a really interesting character and I like exploring what we didn't get the chance to see)

He did not fuck with Skwisgaar when he first showed up. Skwisgaar was younger and kind of a diva who would clash with Magnus and that bled into their interactions. It pretty quickly sorted itself out after a few months though but man their fights were not fun to be around for.

They would both hide each others shit (Pickles kept throwing out any coffee that entered that apartment. Skwisgaar would fucking flush whatever Pickles had around and even figured out he had a stash in the car? Fucking nightmare. Nathan had to put his foot down)

He treated Murderface like a little brother when he joined because he related to having a shitty home life and Murderface was just barely 18 when he joined he was a fucking baby someone HAD to look out for him (Reminder I like to ignore MF being second oldest cuz fucking look at him in preklok. That's a child. Don't give him booze)

He didn't actually grow out of treating him like a younger brother but his soft spot for him has hardened over time (He loves him! But fuck man he can get annoying)

Emotions hit him really hard. Man starts his day with his glass half full so he is just spilling over most of the time.

Nickles is just cannon i could talk abt them forever and im xurrently writing abt how i think they met n stuff, snickles is just fun, Charles and Pickles met in the snb era and are still sexy, dickface is super silly and in love and so crucial to willy's path to self acceptance I think

I think a lot of them either are fucking or have fucked tbh.

I think the dynamics are just too much like family with Toki and some of the others but he and Murderface def fucked in that one ep. But they're mostly just silly friends tho tbh that was a one time thing probably.

Swisgaar and Toki are very complicated, they bicker like siblings and usually dislike each other, theres an element of obsession, theyre musical soulmates and love each other but i just dont see them being lovey dovey romanticly compatible or sexy with each other.

Note: 1. Something happened to everyone’s SNB account. Everyone’s accounts closed so their inheritance is gone. I don't remember how much money they had so I guess we'll pretend it never existed. This is fine, super okay. 2. I finally deleted some skin tones from my game. This turned a bunch of sims pale, I couldn’t remember everyone’s exact tone so they may not be the same. This is only for townies. They’re not main characters anyway.

Mortem mod

This mod makes the process of death in the Sims 4 more realistic.

The Mortem Process

Once a Sim has died, the body will remain until another Sim calls Emergency Services by way of their phone in the Household menu with the 'Report a Death' option. If you have SNB-Bills in-game as well and the remaining Sims in the household do not have cell service, a Sim nearby in the neighbourhood will be pushed to the Deceased's location to call for the family.

Reporting a death is available 24/7. You can even report a death when there is currently no dead Sim, for that your household would be fined 200 Simoleons for pranking the emergency services. (The fine would be added to your next bill).

There is an option to bury the deceased Sim on your lot. This option is available if you don't report the death. If chosen, the deceased will disappear, and the Sim will complete the burial by going to the selected ground portion and start a planting animation. The result will be a death flower to mark the spot. This will work until an NPC gets a little nosey, finds the buried Sim and reports it.

If you report a death instead, the Medical Examiner arrives, and will start taking notes and pictures of where the body was found. When finished, the M.E. will put the Deceased in a body bag and send them off to the Morgue for final examinations, at that time the M.E. will ask who should be the Executor to contact once done. Please be sure to click 'Yes' if you want to continue with the Mortem process. If not, the body will be taken by the M.E., and your Sim will never get a chance to hold a funeral for them or say goodbye.

By saying 'Yes', you will then select the Executor, who will handle all 'Funeral' arrangements. This Executor will drive everything until the very end. From getting a Condolence Visit a day after death, from other Sims close to them to getting the call from the M.E. about final examinations being completed, and finally setting up the Memorial Service so that everyone can appropriately grieve or mourn the Deceased Sim. 

Bereavement Leave

Once the M.E. takes the deceased and confirms executorship, the Household will receive the ability to take 5 additional vacation days at any time to grieve and make final arrangements.

Condolence Visit

In about a day after death, your Household will receive a Condolence Visit from any acquaintances or friends. Similar to the Welcome Wagon, someone may or may not bring a meal for the grieving household.

After a day or two, the M.E. will call the Executor to let them know that the final examination is complete, and they can call the Funeral Home to make arrangements. 

A new option during the call is the ability to ask the Medical Examiner to Donate Remains to Science as a way to bypass paying for cremating or burying and then the service. 

If you decide to continue with a Funeral Service, the option to call the Funeral Home will be made available. If you just want the deceased remains and no service, still choose the Funeral Service. This will allow you to request cremation or burial but no service.

Making Final Arrangements

To make final arrangements, call the Funeral Home with the phone option found in the Household menu. You will immediately choose what type of arrangements you would like to make for each deceased Sim that the Executor is supposed to handle. Once chosen, the Executor will make the call to make those arrangements and get a Service scheduled if chosen. Yes, there's another way out from not having a Service but wanting your Deceased cremated or prepared for burial. This is where you can also do that.

Sunday Best Outfits

In version 0.1.0, this mod randomly chooses formal outfits for your Sims when the Memorial Service started. With version 0.2.0, you can select which Formal outfit you would like them to wear for the upcoming Funeral. You can do this by clicking a dresser or closet to Choose Sunday Best Outfit at any time. You must do this before the Service or the mod will randomly choose one. 

Funeral Service

On the day of the Service, you should get a reminder so that you can prepare and get your Sims ready in time. When the time comes, you will get a pop-up that will gather all of the Household members and send them to the designated Funeral Home. You should immediately see event tasks at the top left. If the lot you chose has a full kitchen on the premises, a caterer will automatically come to start cooking meals for the Mourners to have Repast. If not, I suggest you have a Sim make a meal to bring to fulfill one of the event tasks. 

Once all the Guests/Mourners arrive, the Funeral Home Director NPC will move from playing the piano to giving the Eulogy near the Stand to Bier the Dead (custom table mod object). All Mourners will be pushed to go listen to this Eulogy. If there is more than one deceased being remembered for this service, multiple Eulogies will be made with their respective caskets on display. From there, the event should progress. This includes receiving the deceased in the Executor's inventory after the FH Director gives the Eulogy, calling Mourners to eat, mourning the deceased Sim(s) being remembered at this Service, and talking with other Mourners. 

The entire process allows a Deceased's loved ones to come to terms with the loss of someone they cared for and will miss dearly, resulting in a Peaceful Closure if the event goals have been 100% fulfilled. Failure to complete this goal event will result in Unending Grief. 

⚠️Don't forget to release the Deceased Sim's spirit to the Netherworld or they will be stuck as a ghost.

Burial Options

You have the option to place the Deceased in a Tomb or Mausoleum. These two options can be placed on a Funeral Home lot or any other lot you prefer to house the loved Sim(s) who passed. You can find these two options in Misc Decorative items in the Build/Buy catalogue.

My Magi LGBTQIA+ Headcanons

Ok, I've been working on this list since January. I still probably forgot some. I haven't worked out all my SnB ones yet and about half the Rens. It takes me an inordinate amount of time to sort them out. The only ones I'm really set on are the aspec ones because I'm biased (that's me, I'm AA and proud).

All that to say I may update this list or do a second part. Most likely won't be for a while since I'd want to to add a good chunk before I commit more to the wild.

Also, if you disagree, that's cool. My list though~ I love hearing other people's hcs but I am not up to arguing over mine. I know you guys are chill but to ensure we are on the same page :)

Leila and Sahsa: You can't tell me the manga didn't start off with a lesbian love story with a little shit child playing mediator.

Judar: He very gay.

Aladdin: Genderfluid. I just like the idea of him having everyone constantly guessing as a child of chaos. They're also vying to take that title from Judar. I also can't place who the kid will be interested in but none of his friends are around the same age.

Titus: Trans gay guy.

Yunan: Doesn't really have much attachment to gender. He wouldn't really describe it as a lack of gender yet won't turn down using agender. Gender neutrois also works. Uses any pronouns.

Scheherazade: Cupiosexual. She yearns for being able to have sexual attraction but it just never has occurred for her. After a few decades she had accepted it about herself. The most common form of attraction she feels is alterous attraction (often explained as the space between romantic and platonic attraction).

Hakuryuu: He has messy chemistry with everyone. Bi disaster through and through.

Morgiana: Ace and questioning. She hasn't figured it all out yet but her friends are there to support her. (hi, yes, this is me projecting weeee)

Alibaba: Bisexual and clueless. So if you ask, he won't be able to answer but he also picked up on Sinbad's natural ability to flirt with anybody without trying too hard.

Hakuei: Lesbian

Koumei: Bisexual. I mentioned with the art I made on my own blog that I designed Koumei around the bi colors without realizing it. Nothing in my mind has changed to refute that so that's what I'm still going with. I do think it fits him.

Sphintus: Gay. I can see him being biromantic as well, but mostly into guys.

Sinbad: Pansexual and greyromantic. I won't go into it again more here. He's the best most clueless and suave person ever.

Jafar: Homoromantic demisexual. He likes guys but also without any strong connection to go off of he doesn't really register how people can be attractive.

Drakon: Omnisexual. There's attraction to guys, women, and enbies, all slightly different to each other. Preference for women.

Mystras: Also very gay.

Pisti: Aegoromantic. She gets invested in other people's (mainly her friends') love lives, and loves love stories, but whenever she tries getting into a relationship it never sits right for her. She won't mind an intimate relationship though knows it won't be romantic (after a bit of denial). After my brain came up with this I started projecting like hell and I don't give a fuck XD.

Mu: Mspec of some variety. I don't think he will be bothered by either bi or pan. Queer will work just as well. He will be down for anyone, you know? Going off queer history circles I've seen conversations and jokes that no one in Ancient Rome is monosexual. Mu feels like the person it will apply to the most. I'm going with it.

I joked to myself that the majority on Alma Toran are mspec or aspec. With longer lifespans for humans, a good handful are aspec because of the lack of incentive to have kids or families quickly. I would have posted about it last year during my Alma Toran posting in October and during ace week, but alas. I'm now posting it here lol.

Anyway, my Alma Toran hcs:

Solomon: Demisexual. Hasn't spent time thinking about it because he didn't expect to marry so young. It doesn't bother him though, not that he could explain his sexuality well.

Setta: Aroace. All ice mages are aroace because I said so. (except Judar, dude can have as many guys as he wants)

Isnan: Gay

Falan: Bi. Growing up she didn't have the chance to explore her sexuality. She won't deny it if asked though is perfectly happy in her relationship.

Ugo: Bi and aceflux.

Paimon: Also bi. She flirts too much with Ugo not to be (though I do know some lesbians and non-interested in men peeps who flirt with guys for shits and giggles without much feeling. Poison Ivy being the main lesbian I think of for this).

Arba: Non-sam aro. I tried to figure out her sexuality and I know it's not ace, but it's still too wrapped up in being aromantic. Non-sam is the closest I could figure.

Tess: Demiboy. The idea just burrowed into my head and hasn't left so I'm going with it. He is fine with he/they pronouns, yet the only people allowed to get away with calling him little boy are his parents.

That's all I got. For the moment, at least. If I try to figure everyone out I won't get around to finishing this till pride next year. If ever >>. As I said, I may update the list or post a second part.

And you also get the impression that he started searching for Alibaba bc he gave up on these two. Which is shitty for them, and shitty for Alibaba. He had his life turned upside down, because Rashid was too busy playing around in other nations & teaching the one kid that wasn't his, than actually making sure his country has proper heirs.

Like, don't get me wrong, I actually like Rashid, all of these things make him interesting, but a good parent award is definitely not for him.

So I listened to “The Story of Us” and I am embarrassed to say that I was half right about SNB being an allusion to Taylor Swift’s “The Story of Us.” SNB is clearly an allusion to her “Cornelia Street”. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The irony is that both songs are on my T Swift favorites playlist.

Eh, oh well. 🤷🏻‍♀️ In my defense, I have to say that The Story of Us was just screaming in my head as I read SNB. And, as I’m rereading the fic, I can say that the song is very Rooster coded. Considering the things he didn’t say when he was with Stormy and the things that he wants to tell her now, the fic screams TSoU from Rooster’s perspective. It’s too bad (for him, anyway) that she’s under no obligation to hear him out or give him the forgiveness that he wants.

Either way, as I reread chapter 2, I have to keep side eyeing him like 👀😒👀. What, exactly, is Rooster sorry for? Like, is he genuinely sorry for tanking Stormy’s career? Or is he sorry that she found out that he was the reason that she got pulled out of the mission? Something tells me that he’s more sorry that she found out.

We’ll see. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thank you!

Rooster is absolutely the main character in his own story and he thinks he’s the main character in everyone else’s story as well, unfortunately for him this was never a love story about him and stormy it was about stormy standing on her own two feet and finding out what real love actually is. He’ll get a satisfying ending but it certainly won’t be with our dear reader and it won’t be fun for him at all. I truly believe that his feelings didn’t have anything to do with stormy as a person I think he just wants a family and a relationship and it didn’t matter to him so much that it was her especially when he realized that she was advancing in her career and he was not. I really think he just wants someone to sit at home and wait for him all day and give him accolades and he was never gonna get that from stormy because she’s not that kind of girl. He’s just in love with the idea of love not really in love with his partner if that makes any sense.
