Snippet from a forever unfinished WIP, where Snart is gone on Legends things and Pisa thinks that Barry has somehow seduced and manipulated Snart into doing missions for him. So she's trying to befriend him in order to get to know him better and catch his act. This scene is where he's over at her place, and she's dropping these "Oh I bet you get laid all the time, people find you attractive enough to do anything for you" hints, trying to get him to admit he does that kind of thing. And Barry, because he doesn't seduce people for manipulation, and also is protected by autistic immunity, completely misses her hints

Thus specific part was at the beginning of this train of conversation, where she started subtle by saying he must have been popularin high school

"Oh, no, no, I was much shorter in school," Barry said, as he rummaged through the kitchen cabinets. "With horrible acne. And skinny knees. And a closet bisexual, because I hadn't realized what liking men felt like yet and thought that's just how bwing around other guys worked. And on top of that, I had that sweet, sweet undiagnosed autism swag."

Barry stood up and fixed Lisa with a set of finger guns, just to prove his point.

"Yeah, I was not popular in high school."

As you would expect from me, the fic is very much not as lighthearted as the {placeholder} title would suggest :)

Not gonna share a snippet because this one keeps changing every time I go to work on it but some things that {I’m like 90% sure} won’t change

Barry (as the Flash) gets kidnapped for an event thrown for some of the worst criminals in the city.

One of those criminals is Leonard Snart.

Barry and Len are dating, un(?👀)beknownst to the host of the event.

Len obviously wants to get Barry out of this situation, but there are 2 problems with that.

Barry has the unfortunate role of being the entertainment as, for a fee, guests are allowed to torture him. And this event has a lot of people who’d want revenge on the Flash. Oh, and did I forget to mention he’s set to be killed/executed at the end of this event?

The lovely host has mind reading capabilities. Working with Star labs, Len can solve this issue for himself— but this still means Barry can’t know of any impending rescue. On the contrary, the only way to save Barry might just be to crush his hope of rescue completely…

So, it's Thanksgiving, and I'm spending it alone in a country where it isn't even a holiday. I'm in a mood because of a lot of things this month (not just the Terrible Awful Crappy 5th).

Buuuuuut I wanted to spread a lil cheer, and be thankful for this hellsite and all the ColdFlash creatures I've met while scrolling through here--@theroguesharlequin @hardwiredweird @notquiteinsane @hautecoldture @softboydepot @simpledontmeanpeachy to name a few (while I'm still vaguely sober). So here's a snippet of a scene I've been tinkering with for That Rare Arctic Thunderstorm, which is hilariously set on Thanksgiving 2015. Not the final version, of course, and yes, there are... redactions marked by brackets ([])... but hey, HAPPY TURKEY DAY, 'Murricah! And to the rest of you, early happy weekend!

“Right on time, Doc,” [Len] drawled, opening the front door for Henry Allen. “Len, good to see you, son,” Barry’s dad said, a genuinely pleased smile on his face as he handed over one of his two large, heavily stuffed tote bags. He was all bundled up in cozy fall colors. “Happy Thanksgiving! Mike and Avigail send their regards—along with fresh sweet potato latkes, jelly doughnuts, and something called… borekas?” “Huh, here I thought a pit-stop at the Birnbaums’ would take you longer.” Len turned to hit the elevator button, trying to ignore the funny way the endearment made him feel. “I wouldn’t be late for my first Thanksgiving as a free man,” Henry remarked as they stepped into the elevator car. “I’ve been looking forward to this all week.” “You and Scarlet both, Doc.” Len would have shrugged and smirked, but in the face of Henry’s warm smile, he couldn’t manage enough nonchalance. “I think we’ve known each other long enough for you to start calling me Henry.” Barry’s dad clapped his shoulder with his free hand. “I’m actually glad it was you who came down to get me. I wanted a moment alone with you, to thank you.” “For what?” The elevator doors slid open on the top floor, but Len’s feet refused to move. Henry seemed to notice his discomfort and let go of his shoulder. “Barry’s always been a kind boy, sometimes too kind. I know today—the original plan and the new one—was all his idea. You didn’t have to go along with it [...] but you did. So, thank you.” For one extended moment, Len couldn’t speak. [...] Len had agreed and been thanked by Barry repeatedly in several different ways already, but he hadn’t expected understanding or gratitude from anyone else. He got his mouth—and his feet—to work again right as the elevator doors started to close. He stopped them with his palm, gesturing for the older man to step out ahead of him. “Henry… Did Scarlet ever tell you my four rules?” Barry’s dad smiled and quirked his brow curiously. “No, he didn’t.” “Make the plan, execute the plan.” Len stepped out after him. “Expect the plan to go off the rails,” he opened the door to the apartment proper, “throw away the plan.” Henry laughed with delight as they stepped inside, again clapping a hand on his shoulder. “With rules like that, you two will be just fine.”

Not wanting to get Clay mixed up with trouble he leaves him, causing a ricochet of problems starting with Soul Shock. Soul Shock is an intense depression that leads to death if left untreated. This happens when soulmates are forcefully ripped away from each other. Clay, unable to deal with the outcome seeks solace in parties and alcohol until he meets Lily, a free spirit looking for love. In Jake's absence, Clay grows closer to Lily but does not quite fill that hole Jake left behind. Something Cosmic Outline/5 After dying in Jake's arms, Clay's soul gets lost into the Void and unless Jake succumbs to the emptiness, he must search for Clay's soul so that they can reunite once more while also running from the Void itself.

After finding the newly werecoyote, Liam is hellbent on keeping his ex safe, even if that means staying away from him for his own good. It'd be a lot easier if Theo wasn't constantly finding himself in dangerous situations. I Could Be Your Anchor Outline/18 Liam is struggling with filling Scott's shoes, but at least he has Theo by his side. His first big bad comes in the form of a Phoenix disguised as a new student. Rivals (Prequel) Outline/6 Liam and Brett hate each other. At least that’s what Liam thought. After making the lacrosse team, Liam and Brett are suddenly co-captains and have to figure out a way to get past their fighting long enough to win the homecoming game. What Liam thought was fighting turns into something more when Brett corners him in the locker room one afternoon.

Their eyes meet and Theo is just gone for him. They spend the night talking about everything and nothing at all. Theo couldnt believe this was real. The next morning Theo wakes up to his world in shambles. The blonde beauty he met last night was the son of Jenna Geyer. The woman who’s been after his dads job for years. The two were spotted together causing an uproar for both boys. Of course it was too good to be true.

A lock of blonde hair and a flash of red and gold is all he sees before darkness envelops him. It was the melodic voice that he couldn’t get out of his head. Washed up ashore Theo wakes up on the beach. Eye to eye with his savior, he hears that melodic voice of his again, but also his long beautiful and scaly tail. His father always said they were mythical wretched creatures, but there was something about him. There was nothing wretched about him, but something beautiful.  Day after day Theo would visit the beautiful merman. He couldn’t talk but Theo was learning how to communicate with him. One day he wasn’t there though. Coming back to the castle Theo couldn’t believe it. His father had captured his dear friend. Theo had to save him and protect him. Going against his father, Theo rescues the merman from the poor fisherman and keeps him in his private quarters. As Theo’s wedding comes to a close, he and the merman grow closer. Theo learns that the merman’s name is Liam. Though he sings it with a hushed tone. It sounds beautiful coming from his lips. Theo knows he can’t keep Liam here forever and that he belongs in the sea. Liam seems quite content staying with Theo, though.

Here's a little snip from a one-shot that's half done called Maybe You Don't Know What's Lost Till You Find It.

"Cisco? That you man? What are you doing he–Snart?" Barry gasped when he came around the corner to see Leonard Snart in his signature parka stepping through the front door. "What the hell! Are you seriously breaking into my apartment right now, Cold?"

"Well, I had to see what was wrong with you, you don't look injured or dead," Cold stated with a sneer, pushing the door shut behind him with enough force to rattle the frame.

"Because I'm not!" Barry yelped in shock as the furious villain advanced forward into his space and pressed him up against the wall with two handfuls of Barry's t-shirt. "Snart! What the hell are you doing here! Let me go!"

"You're telling me you are alive and well yet you sent the wannabe Flash to foil my heist! What, could the Scarlet Speedster not be bothered to show up himself?"

Obviously I need to ask you about your Coldflash Royalty AU <3

I fear the placeholder title may be a bit misleading so allow me to clarify; Barry’s royalty (a prince), Len is not but his father was Captain of the royal guard (also, it is through writing this that I learned much of my ‘knowledge’ of royalty comes from Disney movies💀)

Shortly before the events of the story, the kingdom of Central is overthrown. No one knows how he managed to do it, the castle had been thought to be impenetrable to anyone not wanted… alas, Eobard Thawne invaded and killed the king and queen in their own throne room; sparing the prince.

Now, Leonard Snart has been invited to an event celebrating the new king’s victory. He attends, more to get a lay of the land if you will, but ends up getting much more than he bargained for.

Excerpt from chapter 1 (and disclaimer that everything is in flux because it’s still draft one)

Len strode over to the throne, loud enough as to alert the prince of his arrival. Forced to kneel beside the throne, he was dressed in clean, noble garments, and a golden band of metal had been affixed to his neck as well as shackles around his ankles, but he appeared to be unharmed. Still, Len highly doubted that. The outfit was just a bit too clean, covering a bit too much skin. He couldn’t jump to conclusions however. Len knelt down next to Barry, an effort to humiliate him just a bit less, perhaps. “Prince,” He said, in a tone slightly softer than his usual drawl.

Barry looked over at him, well, tried to. The golden collar was attached to a short length of chain bolted to the ground; restricting his movement heavily. “What do you want?” His voice was quite hoarse and had a slight crack to it, but still stronger than expected.
