A part 2 to the snape daughter selling potions; free basically (planning with George) say they'll tell her dad about her secret business if she doesn't go to the yule ball with Fred. she grudgingly agrees, (she's friendly with him, a very younger teasing sibling vibe) and her dad basically freaks out in the calm snape way. she just replies with 'you wouldn't get it, it's young people stuff' and leaves her dad wondering if he was like that
Potions & Promises - Fred x Snape's Daughter
Tumblr media
Can I get a dreamless sleep potion? I've been having really strange dreams that the gnomes that I had de-gnomed from his garden last week had been chasing me with tiny little pitchforks." Ron explained his dream with sheepishly. Those dreams were so strange that he almost didn't want to help Hagrid in slight fear that the gnomes would actually make an army and decide to attack him.
She couldn't help but to give him a questioning look as her brain pictured his dream. "Um, surr. Here you go Weasly." She handed him the potion vile as he handed her the money and he quickly jogged away, but as everyone knew where there was a Weasly, there were always more close by.
"Hey, Ms. Snape." He teased as she rolled her eyes. "Do you need something or are you going to stand next to me all day?" She jokingly asked which made George lightly chuckled as his lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"I have a proposition for you." He wrapped his long arm around her shoulders. Her eyes squinted in an annoyed glare.
"I already told you. We will not be in business together. I really don't need you making potions that will accidentally blow someone up." Her eyebrows slightly raised in concern as she thought of the very real possibility or this happening.
"It's not about that. It's something else, and I'm sure you would love it." His excited demenor scared her a little because the twins were known to have very outlandish ideas. "Uh yeah sure." She said with pure sarcasm which failed to catch George's attention as he was way too happy about his idea even if it sounded absolutely ridiculous.
"How would you like to be the lucky girl who goes with Fred to the Yule Ball?" She laughed which took George by surprise. "Do you really think I'm planning on going to the ball? I'm busy and besides I don't want to be around so many people it'll be suffocating." She huffed.
"Aw c'mon. It'll be good for you, and Fred hasn't asked anyone yet. You don't have to kiss him or anything. Just go, even if it's just a friendly favor." She thought about it do a moment. It's not like she didn't like Fred, infact she had been harboring feelings for him since her 3rd year. "Ballrooms aren't really my scene." She said with hesitancy. "That's fine, then I'll just tell your dad that you're breaking school rules and having a side potions business." George stated in a matter-of-fact tone. Her eyes held nothing but panic. "You wouldn't." She warned. "How do you know that I wouldn't?" His teasing tone was enough to sway her, even if she called it a bluff. She really didn't know if he would really say anything to her father, but she did know how hard it was for him to keep a secret.
She lifter her hands up in surrender. "Fine. Fine. I'll go, but I'm doing this as a favor." "Uh-huh." George teased not believing her. He may joke a lot, but he was observant. A pink blush dusted her cheeks, but George managed to not see.
George smiled as he held out his hand for her to shake. "I did say this was a proposition, so you have to make if official." She laughed at his business-like gesture and shook his hand.
George quickly ran up to the dorms as quickly as possible to tell Fred the news. "Looks like you're not going to the Yule Ball completely alone Freddie." George looked up from his book. "What do you mean Georgie? Has someone asked me? He looked up at his twin with a puzzled yet amused expression as he began to sit upright I'm his seat.
"I may have noticed you taking a liking to none other than professor Snape's daughter, so I may have pulled some strings with her and she has agreed to go with you. She said as a favor, but I can tell she like you too." His tone was teasing and his face held a cool expression as he casually stated that Fred's longtime crush has agreed to go to the ball with him.
"Well, if she agreed, then that's excellent, but I feel like I should talk to her myself don't you think? Fred stated in a hurry as he quickly put his jacket on. "Fred, wait. Here. I got these before I came here to tell you." He handed some really pretty purple flowers. "She loves purple." Fred said with a smile. He took the flowers and quickly exited the room and walked down the halls of the stone walled castle with a suffer sense of confidence as he went looking for her. His quest to find her came to an end as he saw her in the courtyard talking to some students. It looked like she was about to leave for class, so he picked up his pace to go meet with her. "Hey Fred. She greeted him smiling. "Hello." He replied back. "Have you heard that I'm your date to the ball?" She smirked as she teased him and watched his face go from elated to slightly panicked as his face began to match the color of his hair.
"I have heard, but I thought that I should ask you formally myself. It's the principle of the y'know. Can't have a lady thinking that I'm lacking in manners. He tried to sound like his usual confident self, but the feeling of his heart was about to beat out of his chest as he felt the anxiety fill his veins.
She looked up at him and nodded. "Alright then, go ahead." She smiled in amusement. He nodded and jokingly cleared his throat. "Will you please do me the great honor of being my date to the Yule Ball? He quickly put his hand out carrying the lilac flowers. Her eyes lit up when she saw the flowers as Fred handed them to her. "Yes, I will go to the Yule Ball with you." She replied. "In all seriousness, I promise it won't be as bad as you think. I know you weren't planning to go, but I'll try to make it as painless as possible."
"You promise?"
"I promise." He put his hand on his heart for emphasis.
"Pinky swear?" Fred looked at her in confusion. "Pinky swear? What is that?"
She held her Pinky out and grabbed his hand. His heart rate picked up again as he tried to hide his forever crush on his friend.
"You're supposed to wrap your pinky around mine to make it official. It's a muggle thing. I thought Harry or Hermione would have taught you this by now." She said with laugh.
"I also promise that ai will tey to have fun and will he the prettiest that I have ever looked considering you see me in my Hogwarts uniform 80% of the time. He smiled kindly at her as he examined her hand as they let go of their pinkies and kissed the back of her hand. As he let go, he said the words that changed how she felt about him almost instantly. "Darling, if you looked any prettier you would be mistaken for an angel.' She felt that this was the moment. The moment that she'll remember for a lifetime. The moment that she fell in love with a Weasly, but of course it wasn't in her nature to say such a thing out loud. Instead, a sly grin made its way across her face. "I didn't know you had such feelings for me." She teased. "How long have you felt this way? Maybe since my first year here huh? Did you see a white light cascading around me when I entered the great hall for the first time letting you know that you fell hopelessly in love with me." She clasped her hands together near her heart to add to the dramatics. "Please don't make me regret asking you to the ball." He groaned as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"Oh, c'mon Fred! You know you're just dying to kiss me." She teased again again a smile. Her smile soon faded as she was meeting the eyes of a familiar gaze. "What was that?" The voice of her father rang out in an irritated tone.
"Nothing, dad. You know..it's just stupid teenage stuff. You wouldn't understand." She did as she waved him off and she briskly began walking away.
"Weasly." He called out. "Yes, Professor. Fred answered, almost stuttering on each syllable. "I'm watching you." Is all he said and walked away. Snape stopped at a nearby corridor as he stood with a small grin thinking back to when he began to have those feelings about a girl.

The moon hung high in the ink-blue sky, casting a gentle glow that filtered through the lace curtains of Hope's nursery. The room was a delicate sanctuary, adorned with soft pastels and whimsical patterns. Tiny stars painted on the walls twinkled in the dim light, creating a magical atmosphere for the little girl who was about to embark on her nightly ritual of sleep.
Hope, a cherubic bundle of energy, was anything but ready to settle down. At just one year old and few months, she was a whirlwind of giggles and wiggly limbs, her small face framed by soft tufts of dark hair that bore the faintest resemblance to her mother, Y/n. Yet, it was her eyes—deep, captivating pools of onyx that mirrored Severus’s own—that held a certain enchantment. They sparkled with mischief and curiosity, reflecting a spirit that was vibrant and uncontainable.
Severus Snape stood in the nursery, his usually stoic demeanor softened by the gentle presence of his daughter. The quiet moments they shared often revealed a side of him that few ever witnessed—one filled with warmth and an unwavering devotion that pulsed through his veins. This evening was no exception as he leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed over his chest, watching Hope bounce in her crib like a spring lamb.
“Hope,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing, yet it was barely audible above her delighted squeals. “It’s time for bed.”
The little girl giggled in response, her tiny hands reaching out toward him, as if the very idea of sleep was a distant concept, utterly unappealing. She had just discovered the joy of standing, and tonight, she was determined to showcase her new skill. With surprising strength for her age, she pulled herself upright, her legs wobbling beneath her as she clutched the bars of her crib like a seasoned explorer claiming a new territory.
Severus sighed, a mix of amusement and exasperation dancing in his chest. “You’re supposed to be sleeping, not practicing your acrobatics.”
With a defiant laugh, Hope wobbled closer to the edge of her crib, her giggles ringing like tiny bells, echoing against the walls of the nursery. She was a beautiful chaos, her energy radiating warmth throughout the small room.
“Come on, my little firecracker,” he urged gently, stepping closer. The scent of baby powder and a hint of lavender wafted through the air, wrapping around him like a comforting blanket. “Let’s settle down for the night, shall we?”
But Hope was having none of it. She took a daring step back, her eyes alight with mischief, as she plopped down on her bottom, then rolled over, wiggling her tiny body as she crawled to the far end of the crib. The soft giggles continued, a joyful symphony that filled the room with life.
“Hope,” he said again, though this time his tone was softer, coaxing. “If you don’t go to sleep, how will you have the energy for tomorrow’s adventures?”
She paused, glancing up at him with an expression that was a mixture of delight and rebellion. Severus couldn’t help but smile, his heart swelling with affection. He took a seat on the edge of her crib, feeling the coolness of the wooden slats beneath his fingers as he gazed down at her.
“Do you remember the story of the little dragon who wouldn’t sleep?” he asked, his voice almost a whisper, as if sharing a secret.
Hope blinked up at him, her head cocked to the side, clearly intrigued by the notion of a dragon. The twinkle in her eyes danced as she listened, her tiny fingers grasping the soft blanket draped over her crib.
“Every night, the little dragon would flutter about, thinking of all the exciting things she could do instead of sleeping,” he continued, weaving the tale. “But soon, she found herself too tired to breathe fire, and her wings felt heavy, and she discovered that dreams were the greatest adventures of all.”
With rapt attention, Hope settled down a little, her brow furrowing as if she was contemplating his words. Severus smirked at her response, encouraged that the story might finally be lulling her into submission. He continued, embellishing the tale with details about the dragon’s adventures, her friends in the clouds, and the wonderful dreams that awaited her.
Yet, the moment he thought he was winning, Hope suddenly erupted into another fit of giggles, clapping her hands and bouncing in her crib, clearly unfazed by his storytelling efforts. Severus chuckled, knowing full well that he had been bested by a mere infant, a feat that felt both maddening and utterly delightful.
“Alright, little one,” he relented, running a hand through his dark hair, the strands falling into his eyes as he contemplated his next move. “How about this? If you promise to try and sleep, I’ll sit with you until you do.”
Hope’s wide eyes glimmered with excitement, and she nodded fervently, her tiny curls bouncing with each enthusiastic gesture. Severus couldn’t resist the infectious joy she radiated, and with a resigned smile, he settled back into the cushy armchair that sat in the corner of the room, a sanctuary amidst the sea of toys and baby paraphernalia.
As he leaned back, he watched her with admiration, the way her little fingers curled around the blanket, her face lit with pure innocence and determination. She was a perfect blend of both him and Y/n, an embodiment of their love.
Minutes ticked by slowly as he remained in the quiet sanctuary of her nursery, the soft glow of the moon illuminating the space. Hope, however, was not keen on surrendering to the gentle embrace of sleep. She continued to wiggle and squirm, her energy unwavering as she plucked at the edges of her blanket, occasionally glancing up at Severus with wide, expectant eyes.
“Alright, Miss Snape,” he murmured, adopting a playful tone. “Let’s count the stars, shall we?”
He began counting softly, and much to his surprise, she joined in, her own tiny voice babbling along, albeit more like an enthusiastic rendition of nonsense than a proper counting session. The laughter bubbled forth between them, a sweet connection formed in the heart of the night, weaving an unbreakable bond between father and daughter.
“Let’s try that again,” he chuckled, pretending to be serious as he continued the count, only to be interrupted by Hope’s antics once more. She reached out to grab his finger, her tiny hand gripping it tightly as if he was a lifeline in a world that was far too vast and overwhelming for such a little creature.
“Alright, alright,” Severus conceded, allowing her to pull him closer, his heart swelling with warmth as she leaned against his leg, her head tilting back to gaze at him with those irresistible eyes. “I will stay right here.”
And just like that, in the midst of their playful banter, the energy in the room began to shift. Severus felt the soft weight of Hope leaning against him, her eyelids growing heavy as she clutched his hand like a lifeline.
“See? Even the little dragon needs her rest,” he whispered, glancing down to find her eyes beginning to flutter, battling the impending tide of sleep. The light in the room dimmed slightly as the moonlight cast a silver glow across her delicate features, highlighting her cherubic cheeks and the way her lips curved into the faintest of smiles.
With a soft sigh, Hope nestled against him, her small frame curling into a peaceful ball as she finally surrendered to the allure of slumber. Severus watched in awe, his heart swelling with a warmth he had never known.
He carefully shifted, cradling her against his chest, feeling her tiny heartbeat against him, a gentle rhythm that seemed to pulse in sync with his own. The room fell into a tranquil hush, a symphony of soft breaths and the occasional creak of the house settling around them.
As he sat there, enveloped in the cocoon of night, Severus couldn’t help but let his thoughts drift to Y/n. He could already picture her reaction upon finding them in this peaceful tableau. She would likely smile, her heart warmed by the sight of her two favorite people intertwined in such an innocent moment of love and serenity.
But even in his daydreaming, the fatigue from the long hours of the day began to wash over him. His eyelids grew heavy, the rhythmic sound of Hope’s breathing lulling him into a comfortable haze.
With one last glance at the peaceful nursery, Severus allowed himself to close his eyes, resting his head back against the plush fabric of the chair. The softness of the moment enveloped him, a sensation that was rare yet deeply cherished.
Unbeknownst to him, the door creaked open quietly, and Y/n stepped into the room, her heart swelling at the sight before her. There, in the soft glow of the nursery, was Severus, his expression softened in the quietude of sleep, with Hope nestled safely in his arms.
The sight was utterly enchanting. Hope’s little body, peaceful and content, was nestled against Severus’s chest, her small hand curled around his finger. Y/n felt an overwhelming rush of love at the sight, a beautiful portrait of fatherhood that captured everything she adored about Severus—his fierce love, the tenderness that often lay beneath his stoic facade, and his unyielding devotion to their daughter.
Y/n stepped further into the room, the soft creaking of the floorboards barely a whisper. She approached cautiously, not wanting to disturb the serene moment. But as she reached the chair, she couldn’t resist the urge to run her fingers gently through Hope’s soft hair, marveling at how perfectly they fit together, the two most important people in her life.
“Look at you two,” she whispered, her heart swelling as she took in the scene. “Such a perfect pair.”
In that moment, she understood the beauty of what they had built together—a family rooted in love, laughter, and sometimes, the sweet surrender of sleep. Hope stirred slightly, a soft sigh escaping her lips, but remained nestled against Severus, a soft smile gracing Y/n’s features.
Gently, Y/n leaned down, placing a tender kiss on Severus’s forehead, feeling a sense of belonging and peace that resonated deep within her.
As she straightened, she couldn’t help but capture the moment in her mind—the serenity, the love, the magic that seemed to permeate the very air they breathed. She turned to leave, letting them rest, but as she reached the door, she cast one last glance back at the sight before her.
“Sweet dreams, my loves,” she murmured, her heart full, as she quietly stepped out of the nursery, leaving Severus and Hope wrapped in the warmth of their dreams.
The moon continued to shine brightly outside, casting a gentle glow over the world, while inside the nursery, a soft lullaby of love enveloped the room, creating a sacred space where dreams took flight, cradled in the arms of a devoted father and his beautiful daughter.

Severus Snape daughter headcanons
Slytherin all the way.
There was a debate with the sorting hat between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but the hat landed on Slytherin
Severus taught her German and Russian
Has a pet cat
Was taught how to brew potions as a child
Skilled in occlumency and legilimens
Severus would've definitely taught her some fight moves he learned from Tobias to defend herself along with defense spells to protect herself if necessary (one of the rare good things Tobias did for Severus)
I feel his daughter would have a photographic memory
If his daughter was born before the war, then she would've met Regulus as a baby but didn't know a lot about him other than what Narcissa, Lucius, and her father told her (all good things)
Growing up, Severus didn't tell her a lot of his past, but every time she was in the Malfoy's care or Charity and Aurora's care, they would tell her all the embarrassing school stories of Severus (Severus would neither confirm or deny the stories) but they leave out the marauders of their stories (she knows about them, they always let it slip during their stories)
Educated in both the wizarding and muggle world
She definitely inherited the famous Severus glare and sharp tongue
Middle is Eileen, and Severus talks about his mother sometimes but not much
She would definitely be a bookworm
Similar to Severus, she would have an interest in potions and DADA
She and Draco would have definitely seen each other as siblings from their parents
I feel like she would be respectful and nice to house elves and would hate the abuse they face (she scolds her uncle Lucius about hurting Dobby every time she sees it)
Her and Hermione would have a school rivalry since they are both the smartest girls in their houses. But they respect each other and their intellect
If wolfstar had a child or children, then you can count on some bad blood between them (who knows... maybe an enemies to lovers)
Severus and McGonagall taught her how to dance (quite fabulously, if I may add 👌💃)
Sees Minerva as a grandmother figure (you can't tell me that McGonagall wouldn't lover her as her own)
If she had an Animagus form, it would be a cat or Raven
Her Patronus would be a bat or a cat
Has respect for the Weasley twins but will not hesitate to turn their pranks against them if it's aimed at her father, Draco, or herself
Likes Molly and Arthur but has notes on their parenting
She and Ron like playing wizard chess with each other (she beats him every time, and Ron always wants a rematch)
I feel like she would be a bit relatable to Stiles Stilinski (has ADHD, OCD, A LOT of sarcasm, and is stubborn. Wonder where she gets that from) "I mean no. Do you want to hear it in German? Nein". "I'm 140 pounds of pale skin and fragile bone, ok? Sarcasm and magic are my ONLY defense."
I feel like a lot of people would be afraid of her because she is Severus's daughter
She and Luna, I feel would get along because of her creative mind and unique way of seeing the world (she would also scare off Luna's bullies)
She makes her own spells, potions, and magical objects (mad scientist mode)
Not a big fan of quidditch but supports Draco
Brains of the operation
Hates Sirius on sight and is OK Remus.
She will not hesitate to hex or murder Sirius if he continues to insult her family (she is very difficult to restrain)
Feels like Harry's babysitter for always helping him survive on his adventures
She knows Remus when she was young due to his visits to her home to pick up his supply of wolfsbane from her father (so she knows he's a werewolf)
Often scold Draco if his insults go too far.
If her dad was a part of the death eaters and she was told, she would be shocked, upset, and angry but if he told her about the double agent part then she would be more worried for him
All I got so far. Enjoy my lovelies

Sarah Snape is a girl who grew up far from the truth. She knows nothing about her father's past and the only thing she knows about her mother is that she died during childbirth. Overprotected throughout her life, Sarah became a quiet and observant young lady, without many social skills and with quite a temper just like her father, but also very curious and ambitious. She won't rest until she knows the whole truth.
Tumblr media
Severus Snape is the same as we already know, still the bitter and strict Potions Master. But in this story we'll unveil Snape's father side. Snape is a demanding and overprotective father, but also somewhat loving. He will do anything to protect Sarah from his dark past. Snape never feels that Sarah is old enough to know the truth, and fears the day when he will have to tell her everything. He also does everything he can to be the father he never had, even though he has a hard time showing affection.

Their Daughter Part 6
Tenison was high in the dining room of Grimmuald Place as the Black brothers stared one another down. Regulus knew that part of Sirius's anger was because he thought he had lost his child to his brother, much like when they were young, and their parents favored Regulus over him. But this was Sirius's own fault; Ali had tried even after she had been hurt that Sirius went to Harry first. Sirius could not get over the fact that Ali was close with the Malfoys and had taken to projecting his anger to the only person who would love him more than anything if he tried.
Sirius wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was jealous of Regulus. He always had been, but coming back from the hell he had been trapped in to find that his own daughter had chosen his brother over him hurt more than any torture he had ever faced. Regulus had always been the perfect child who everyone adored. He had gotten fewer beatings as a child than Sirius, had gotten better grades in school, and now was considered a dad to Ali. It was only natural for Sirius to go back to what he did during his school years and focus his attention on the people who showed him attention. Harry was his godchild, but Harry also had no one else, meaning Sirius didn't have to worry about being replaced. Sirius also felt awful for the events that transpired the night of James and Lily's deaths and was trying to make up for it.
"If you just gave her a chance, you may find she is much more like you than you think." Regulus sat at the table again, watching his older brother run his hands through his hair. "She is so headstrong and stubborn that I know it revivals yours. And I cannot express enough how she just wants to be good enough for you to love, much like how you tried for years with Mother."
Sirius sighed in defeat, regrettting the painful things he had put his daughter through. "I do love her. I just…."
"Are shit at showing it. I saw the look in your eyes when Ali called me dad; I know that hurt you. But instead of talking about it, you just lash out at her or me or Remus, making it seem like you really don't care at all. I never tried to fill that role in her life. I was and will always be Uncle Reg, and that is fine. Do I see her as my child and love her like my own? Yes, absolutely. I will do anything for her, and if that fills that role as a father, I will. But I don't want to take that from you. You had so much stolen from you in your life, Sirius: your childhood, your parents, your best friend, 12 years of your life. The last thing I want to do is take more away, but I cannot and will not put you above her. She deserves so much in this world, and you should help her get it. We both should. But the question remains: will you put aside your 'every Slytherin is a Death Eater' mindset to do so? Because people have changed and we are close to the Malfoys, Notts, Parkinson's, and the Zabini's. They are not the same people anymore. Things have changed in the war; sides have changed. But you haven't. Ali is loyal to a fault and is a great judge of character; she won't betray the Order, nor will the others. Just give people a chance, Sirius."
"I did give people a chance, and it…..it got my best friend and his wife killed. We trusted Peter. I trusted Peter enough to have James make him the secret Keeper. It got them killed, and he was our friend. How am I supposed to trust that Lucius Malfoy has the Order's best interest at heart when my own friend of 9 years didn't?" Sirius started pacing before his brother. His head is cloudy in memories, tears blurring his eyes as his best friend's dead body flashed in front of him. "I know that I'm shit at showing Ali I love her, and part of it is because I'm scared to get close only to lose her again to someone like Lucius Malfoy. I owe it to James to look after Harry, but that doesn't mean I don't love him like my own because I do. But I love Ali just as much, and I know she has you, Remus, and even Snivillious to love her. And I want to try to improve things with her; I just don't know how. How do I fix what I've done, Regulus?"
Regulus caught the double meaning to his brother's question, "You can't. Sirius, you can't fix what happened to James and Lily. You can't fix how you've treated Ali so far."
Sirius felt his heart crack at his brother's words. He had hoped to get Ali back, but it seemed he had gone too far. He started for the stairs when Regulus continued.
"But that doesn't mean you can't fix it from now on. You can't change the past and bring James back, but you can make them proud by loving and protecting Ali and Harry. I mean, yeah, they don't get along now, but I think part of that is because he has seen and heard how you and James treated outsiders. I know they used to play together as babies, not that they would remember it, but Remus told me. Tell how close they were till everything happened, and bring them back together. Stop being afraid of losing Ali to someone when all everyone wants to do is love her and keep her safe. And maybe you don't trust Lucius or the others right now, but I trust them more than Dumbledore most of the time. And you should talk to Moody about the help Lucius has given the Order even if he refuses to say he has aligned himself with us." Regulus held his brother's shoulder, "Give them a chance. Don't let the other kids make remarks about Ali and her friends. Talk to her. I wouldn't start trying to act like her father, but maybe a friend? Or a really distant uncle. You'll figure it out, Sirius; you're smarter than you give yourself credit for."
Sirius followed his brother up the stairs, going to bed with hope, lighting a flame in his heart for the first time in years.
Days following the talk between Regulus and Sirius, Ali noticed that the golden trio had become slightly nicer to her. She does not make as many comments about her or her friends. She had no idea what was happening but wasn't going to complain. Regulus had come to her that morning telling her that he thought it a better idea if Blaise came to their house instead of her going over there. He believed it would show that the Slytherins were not as bad as all the others thought.
At first, Ali was hesitant about the idea. Still, after being reassured that Remus would be home as well as Regulus, Ali agreed. The thought of Blaise being at her house surrounded by her tormentors made her sick to her stomach. She wanted nothing more than to run away for a few days, but that ship had sailed, and it was only hours before Blaise arrived when Regulus called for 'those who live in this house meeting.' By the time Ali had gotten dressed and cleaned her room, everyone was already in the kitchen since it seemed to be the usual gathering place for the group. She straightened her sweater and did a quick glance down to make sure her outfit was still okay. It was slightly chilly in the house, so she had gone with a Bulgarian Quidditch sweater that was mainly red with black details and a pair of cropped black leggings with matching fuzzy socks. She and Blaise had already decided to stay for most of the day and then go and get dinner somewhere in Diagon Ally so she could change later. Remus and Regulus walked at the same time as Sirius and Harry.
"I'm assuming everyone is confused about why this meeting was called," Remus started. "There seems to be an assumption that Slyertians and those associated with them are all Death Eaters or traitors."
Scowls had overtaken most of the younger one's faces in the room, as well as Sirius's. Ali looked at her uncle, trying to figure out where this was going. She knew the reason was to inform everyone that Blaise would be here for a few days, but there was something else going on; she could feel it.
"After speaking with Dumbledore and getting his permission, not that I technically need the permission as it is my house, but nevertheless. A few individuals will be coming to stay here for the upcoming days, and there will be a couple of visitors as well." Regulus's eye caught Ali's, and gave her a wink just as the sound of footsteps entered the foyer. Ali was too short to see over everyone's heads to see who was there, but from the looks on a couple faces, including the elder Weasley, it was someone they were not fond of.
A flash of white hair caught Ali's eye as the group entered the kitchen. Her mouth dropped in shock as she took in her uncle Severus, leading the Malfoys, Blaise, and Theo towards Regulus and Remus. Cissa shot her a wink while Draco eyed Harry and Sirius up and down; Blaise kept his eyes locked on Ali, and Theo thoroughly enjoyed the shocked looks from the Weasleys.
"Sorry, we're late. Draco took too long in the mirror this morning," Severus said. Draco glared at his Godfather before continuing on with his glare at Potter.
"Well, allow me to introduce everyone. This is Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, which I'm sure almost all of you know. This is Blaise, Theodore, and Draco. Narcissa and Lucius will be in and out for the next bit trying to get caught up on Order business while the latter three will be staying here for a bit." Remus shook Lucius's hand before joining Dora beside Ali, who was bouncing on her toes, overly excited at the fact that it was going to be back to normal in the next couple of days.
"You can't be serious. They are staying here?" Sirius exclaimed, running his hand down his face before glaring at Lucius. "I still remember what you did, Malfoy."
"I don't often agree with Sirius, but Dumbledore said this was alright?" Arthur asked. Ali knew that the Malfoys hadn't been the kindest to the Weasleys in the past, and she felt sorry for them in that aspect, but Lucius was not the same man as he was during her first year. And Narcissa wouldn't hurt a flea.
Remus stepped forward again, "He did. Narcissa and Lucius will be helping with some scooting missions that are coming up since they know that area of town better and are considering joining the Order. The three brats are mainly for Ali, though."
"Did you miss us short stack?" Theo opened his arms for Ali, who jumped straight into them. Theo gave her a twirl before pulling on her braid. She barely had time to catch her breath before Draco had her spinning again and tickling her sides, making her squeal.
"Of course I missed you! What kind of question is that?!" Ali giggled before hugging Blaise despite her uncle Remus glaring at them. Blaise took her hand and gave it a squeeze when they parted before facing the other children in the room. Theo and Draco took the opposite sides of Ali, showing a united front against the ones who had been horrible towards her.
Ali was ecstatic that they were going to be in the house more. Maybe her summer wouldn't end so badly. Sirius was shocked that Dumbledore had cleared this and even more shocked that Lucius would help the Order. He did not trust him and would go on those missions even if he had to go as Padfoot. This was outrageous and downright stupid, allowing death eaters to snoop freely in the Order business. Looking at his daughter, he could see how happy she was to be surrounded by her friends, but he also knew that he would have to keep a closer eye on her than he already was. He had asked the trio to play nice so he had more people watching her. He did trust that she was a Death Eater, and now he was surrounded by them.
"Al, Kreatcher sat up extra beds in your room for the boys. Pansy should be joining later, but she had something come up with her grandfather. Her mother said she would owl when she was on her way." Regulus leveled each of the boys with a look. "You lot know the rules. I don't care if you have fun but clean up after yourselves, and don't be too loud when it gets late. Curfew is at 10pm and no later. If you are leaving the house, go in pairs at least and let one of the adults you know be aware of where you're going. You lot know the food is fair game, and Kretcher has already been instructed to grocery shop more often. The house is also fair game, but be respectful, please."
"Don't worry, Uncle Reg. I'll keep them in line," Draco smirked at the other three before Severus whacked him upside the head.
Ali turned and looked at the younger swarm of redheads and others in the room. She cleared her throat to get the attention on her, which made her take an unconscious step back toward Blaise and Draco. "Everyone, this is Theo, Blaise and Draco. I'm sure most of you know this, but just in case. You are welcome to join our fun, but we get if you don't want to." Ali pulled the boys out of the room after greeting her aunt and uncle. They sat on the living room floor with wizards, chess, and a few other games while a movie played in the background. Kreacher brought out snack trays for them, and the laughter was music to Regulus's ears after all the quiet he'd heard from Ali this summer.
Ali could feel the stares from those around them, most directed at Draco and her. She could see the disbelief every time Draco laughed or made a joke. This was the side of Draco that was rarely seen by others. An hour had passed before a chess match went on between Draco and Ali. Blaise sat to one side of Ali, and Theo was in the middle of her and Draco, watching the death match continue.
"What dare shall I have you do this time, Als" Draco taunted her while he moved his piece. It was an ongoing rule that when she and Draco played wizarding chess, the loser had to do a dare of the winner's choice. It was always a toss-up in who won, as both were incredibly good at the game.
"Don't think too hard; I wouldn't want to overwork that one brain cell of yours." Ali stuck her tongue out at Draco when she stole his knight.
Draco was about to reply when a shadow came over the top of the board. Looking up, there was the eldest two Weasley children and Fleur. Ali could see the hearts in Theo's eyes before she kicked him in the shin. "She's engaged, you idiot."
Bill and Charlie chuckled, "We saw you guys playing games and were curious if we could join you? I have my board and thought we could do a little tournament."
Charlie held up his chess board. The teens all nodded, and with a snap of his fingers, Charlie's board was all set up. Bill took one side of the board before looking at Theo. "You up for a challenge?"
Theo crawled to the opposite side of the small table. Bill made the first move, and the game commenced. Charlie and Fleur took seats around the rest of them and started trash-talking with them, too. Charlie was on Ali's side, whereas Fleur took Dracos. Regulus, Molly, and Narcissa looked around the corner and had smiles spread across their faces at the sight they saw. It wasn't the younger kids trying to get along with the others, but the eldest and Molly knew that her children all looked up to their brothers, so maybe there was hope in this crazy plan after all.

Snape going protective dad mode on a peer who was blaming his daughter for being ‘distracting’.
Severus Snape & Zhuri Snape
Tumblr media
“Theres no need to make a big deal about it.”
Severus stopped turning to look at his daughter. Her dark eyes pleading not to make a scene of the situation.
“Remind me what professor Harlem said to you about your out of school clothing.” He said.
Zhuri looked away not because she was embarrassed but for the fact she let the man practically shame her for the body she grew into over the summer. She was 15 a developing young woman that quickly grew into her curves over the summer.
“That I was distracting, that what i was wearing was inappropriate..” she spoke annoyed her eyes looking away from her father.
“And what are you wearing.” His voice was softened. What Harlem said bothered the girl it made him crawl in his skin knowing a grown Man was letting his eyes wonder on her. His daughter a child.
“A long sleeve thats slightly tighter than most and some low rises.” She answered, The shirt only came up a little showing the width of two finger together but nothing more the jeans where you normal low rises with rhinestone pockets. “Thats why i don’t understand what his problem is im wearing what I normally would on a day off around here for christ sake!” She exclaimed, her hands hitting here sides in frustration.
“Exactly there is nothing wrong with what you’re wearing and him telling you that you’re distracting, disgust me. It shouldn’t be a bother to him for he is a grown man.” Severus spoke to his daughter, she new what he meant the new professor had been gazing at her in an inappropriate matter and telling her that it was her fault.
“I just don’t want to make a big deal out of it hes just some creep that needs to be removed from the school.” Zhuri said her voice filled with irritation, not because of her father wanting to go talk to the man but for the fact she let it happen her self. How the middle aged man blamed her for his inappropriate behavior.
“Exactly, and he will be. Now return to your dormitory i will deal with it from here.” He said reassuring Zhuri. She nodded turning around to walk back down ti the dungeon back to Slytherin dormitory. It hurt him watching how she crossed her arms around her body in a shameful matter hiding herself, as if she had to be ashamed of something she has no control over.
“Professor Harlem a word.” Severus voice spoke darkly as he entered the room.
A little drabble hope you like it it bit on the more sensitive topics lmk if you want more Zhuri!

“You make me feel like I am young again…”
“Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am whole again!” (“Love Song” by The Cure)
And she did it again! My 10 (almost 11) years old daughter Henriette drew another picture of Severus and me as students. I think, she makes good progress with her artwork.
Henriette told me, that she wanted to make me happy, even though I’m having an extremely hard time with my disease ME/CFS at the moment. And what is it, that never fails to make me smile? Yep, feeling young again with teenage Sevy by my side!
I promised my daughter to post her picture on my blog, in order to gift you all a smile, too! So, enjoy this little masterpiece from Henriette!

𝕴 𝖒𝖊𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 Rose and Grace in the Charms classroom exactly when I said I was going to. We worked on disarming a bit more. By the end of the lesson, they had both disarmed me and I was quite proud of them.
With our extra ten minutes, we worked on some other second-year spells and then called it quits since it was getting close to their curfew. With my two hours of curfew left, I visited Professor Snape's office.
He was grading tests in a bad temper and his expression didn't soften as I came in.
"What's wrong?" I asked as he threw another test onto the chair next to him.
"You haven't come to see me in three days." He said.
I pursed my lips to keep from smiling. "Sorry." I said, putting my arms across his shoulders and put my head on the top of his head, looking at the tests from behind. "Do you feel better now?"
"No." He said, sounding disgruntled. "I think-" He threw the rest of the tests onto the desk, "-you should come around front and sit on my lap."
I giggled and did just as he asked and pressed my lips to his. "You realize I'm a bit big for this?" I pointed out.
"No." He said stubbornly, kissing me. "You're only- to big- for sitting on- your dad's lap- not mine." He said between kisses.
I giggled again, kissing his cheek. "I suppose you're-" he cut off my words and then I managed to say "-right about that."
"Your hand looks better." He said when I finally stood up. I looked down at it. The scabs had healed so that they looked more like thin red scratches than scabbed over words.
"It doesn't look as extreme now." I said happily. "Oh," I said, less happily. "Professor Umbridge questioned me. But I didn't drink the tea so I never took the truth serum."
"Yes." he said stiffly, standing up. "She asked me for it and I couldn't refuse it."
"Could've given her a fake bottle." I pointed out.
"That's true, I'll do that next time." Severus said, moving a stack of papers off the desk. "Guess you should make my decisions for me."
"Sorry." I muttered, thinking he was mad. "I wasn't trying to-"
"I know." He interrupted, putting both hands on either side of my face, squishing my cheeks together. I stared up at him, pouting. "Stop pouting damnit." I didn't stop and he groaned. "You make my life so difficult Elizabeth."
"Life's difficult." I said simply and he glared at me, dropping his hands.
"So what are you going to do tonight?" He asked casually, turning his back to me. I looked at him. His black hair was swept perfectly so that I couldn't see his face when I answered.
"What do you want?" I asked softly.
He ran a hand through his hair. "I don't know. I mean, I want you, obviously, but it's getting dangerous."
Then, I cocked my head and smiled, "You know what? I think I just got a great idea."
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
"𝕿𝖍𝖎𝖘." 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖚𝖘 𝖌𝖗𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉, "Is the stupidest idea you've ever had."
I glared at him, closing Hagrid's cabin door behind him and going over and making sure the windows were sealed and locked and the curtains were placed over them. "Just don't turn on the lights." I said.
"Ouch!" Severus said as I heard him crash into something. "Bloody brilliant advice Elizabeth."
"Umbridge, Harry, Ron, and Hermione will come running." I said, reaching out and taking his hand and pulling him over to where Hagrid's large bed was. "Besides, no one is going to think to find us here."
"Still." Severus said, settling onto the bed next to me.
"Sev, just shut up and kiss me." I said, pressing my lips to his throat and felt his pulse quicken and heard his breathing stop for a second.
"Elizabeth. . ." He moaned. "You're not. . . we're not. . ."
I blushed and pulled away. "No, of course not! We're not married."
He pulled me back down to kiss me. "Just wanted to make sure so I didn't overstep my boundaries."
I laughed softly, curling into his side. "Hey Sev?"
"Yeah?" He asked, running his fingers up and down my arm.
"I love you."
It hung there in the air for a second. The last time I'd said I'd loved him was December of last year, nearly ten months ago. We hadn't even been dating yet. It had kind of slipped out of my mouth.
My heart thudded in my chest, waiting to see if he was going to say anything and I squeezed my eyes shut tightly. Maybe if I fell asleep then in the morning I could just assume that he'd said it back.
But he had changed his demeanor suddenly. His tongue traced my lips and then he kissed me and it was very, very different. A French kiss- something we'd never down before. I could feel his tongue in my mouth, something I actually found rather attractive now that I'd actually done it. I had originally thought it might be repulsive. Now, I hoped we did it every time. My heart beat faster. I also felt very disoriented as he ran his tongue down to my throat and bit me.
"Oh!" I gasped. It wasn't a hard bite- in fact, it was very gentle and my cheeks grew red, knowing what was happening. But I didn't shy away. "Sev!" I gasped in shock.
"I think." He said lightly, running his tongue on my bottom lip. "I forgot to mention that I love you too."
"Something-" I gasped, trying to breathe, "something like that. . ."
He chuckled and rolled back onto his side of the bed, pulling me into him. I laid my head down on his chest.
"You're adorable you know." he murmured sleepily. "I swear I can hear your heart beating."
"Shut up." I muttered, pressing my face into his chest. He had such a unique smell like spices and herbs and the night and the forest all rolled into one. He put an arm around my shoulders, holding me there.
It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
𝕴𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖌, he shook my awake.
"Wazitmazer?" I muttered.
"I don't speak whatever language you just spoke." He said, sounding amused. "But we have to go if you want to make it back up to the castle in time. I thought you were holding Quidditch practice today.
I sat up quickly. "Oh, that's right." I said, stretching. I swung my legs over the bed and slipped my shoes on. "We probably shouldn't go up together if Umbridge is looking." I turned into a cat. Then I sprung from the ground up onto his shoulder.
"Show off." He muttered. I batted him with my paw- claws in. He took me off his shoulder and held me in his arms, petting my head. I purred with content and he chuckled as he strode up the grass. He let me down in front of the Hufflepuff common room and then went down the hallway and nodded to me. I quickly checked the other corridor and then turned back into a human and went up to my dorm to get my Firebolt. (I had replaced my Nimbus with a Firebolt this year so that I was equal to Harry).
By ten o'clock, we were all out on the pitch, clutching our brooms and looking wide awake.
"Alright." I said, looking around at everyone. "Herbert, up in front of the goals, we're going to test you first. Zacharias- you first. We're going to act like the other two Chasers are down at the end of the pitch. Heidi, Malcolm, right now, your acting like the opposing team. Let's see how Zacharias does 1 v 2. Then we'll switch between the Chasers. I turned to our beaters. "James your on Zacharias' side, Maxine, opposite. We won't let out the snitch right now."
"Trying to get out of your job?" Zacharias asked.
"Shut up Zacharias." I snapped. Practice hadn't even started yet and I already regretted choosing him as Chaser. "I can't critique you guys if I'm busy looking for the Snitch. We'll do that later. Alright, everyone up."
Everyone flew up and I tossed the Quaffle up to Zacharias. "Alright! Start! I'm letting out the bludgers in two seconds!"
Zacharias started flying down to where Herbert was at. Heidi and Malcolm flew at him from two different directions- working with past Quidditch tactics. I let out the bludgers and James and Maxine swooped on the bludgers. Maxine hit her bludger towards Zacharias who did a good roll maneuver and then dodged Malcolm. Swerving around Heidi, Zacharias threw the Quaffle. Herbert dived for it and stopped it by an inch.
"Alright!" I shouted. "Heidi, you're up. Zacharias-" I ducked a bludger, "-you're on the team with Malcolm now!"
Herbert tossed the Quaffle to Heidi and she zoomed back to the other side of the pitch where Zacharias had started.
"Start!" I shouted, observing the plays. They each took turns. Herbert saved all but one which was good.
"Alright!" I said. "Good job Herbert! Now then," We flew back to the ground so we could talk. The bludgers would stay in the air. With a wave of my wand, the bludgers were zooming back to the ground and I locked them back in the trunk with the help of James.
"Alright so now, I want to give the Chasers a chance to score. Herbert, James, and I are going to be Chasers as well- on another team. Maxine, I want you to act as Keeper for now, alright? Herbert, James, and I aren't trying to score, only trying to get the Quaffle from Heidi, Malcolm, and Zacharias."
"Hey Elizabeth!" I heard someone shouting across the stadium. I looked over briefly and saw Lee, Fred, and George there. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were following. I gave a brief wave and then turned back to the team.
"Everyone understands what we're doing?" I asked, looking at all of them. They all nodded and then I said, "Alright, Maxine, up in the keepers spot. Heidi, Zacharias, Malcolm, I want you guys to start at the opposite end of the pitch, alright?"
I tossed the Quaffle at Heidi who caught it.
"You're okay playing in front of four Gryffindor Quidditch team members?" Zacharias asked incredulously.
I glared at him. "We shouldn't have to stop training because some people showed up. Would you ask the same question if the Slytherins showed up to watch?"
Zacharias shut his mouth and I beckoned to James and Herbert. Maxine was already flying in front of the hoops. I swooped up with the other two and then we did our flying tactics.
By the afternoon, we felt very pleased with our performance. If only I could change Zacharias' behavior.
"Now." I said in the locker room. "I am going to let you guys know that we aren't going to be able to get much practice in. The first match is Slytherin and Gryffindor and they're going to have the pitch booked nearly every night. Saturday afternoons are going to be our go-to times."
"Do you know who's going to win the match?" Zacharias asked.
I pursed my lips, "Why would I spoil it for you guys?"
"I heard the Gryffindor Keeper is rubbish." Zacharias said.
I pursed my lips together tighter. "Well-"
"Hem, hem!"
We all spun around to see Professor Umbridge there. My lips were so thin now they would've made Professor McGonagall proud.
"Can we help you?" I asked.
"I was just wondering what you thought you were doing Miss Kane, still being Quidditch Captain and all." She asked in her sugar sweet voice.
"I didn't realize it was any of your business." I said stiffly.
Professor Umbridge didn't answer right away and she looked at Heidi, Malcolm, and Herbert. "How did you become Quidditch Captain if there are others here that are older than you?"
I squeezed my fist tightly but answered as calmly as possible. "Cedric appointed me, before he went in to do the third task."
"You, instead of one of the more senior students?"
"We're proud to have her as our Captain." Heidi said suddenly. I blushed.
Professor Umbridge looked at her with that stupid smile on her face, "You're proud to have the daughter of a werewolf as your Quidditch Captain?"
"Yes." Malcolm said unexpectedly in his deep voice. He reminded me of Kingsley except he had a larger head of hair. "And we all like Professor Lupin too. Cedric appointed Elizabeth and she's our Captain now."
Professor Umbridge looked quite taken aback. Herbert, James, Maxine, and Zacharias looked from Professor Umbridge to the three of us. She turned to them. "And you guys?"
They all nodded, even Zacharias who I was sure would've said something. Her eyes flashed dangerously and said, "Detention tonight, Miss Kane."
"For what!" Heidi shouted outrageously.
"I've already warned her about her cheek."
Heidi opened her mouth and I stepped on her foot. "Doesn't matter, don't land yourself in detention too." Heidi closed her mouth. Malcolm and Herbert looked just as angry and when she left the locker room, they all turned to me.
"How does she get away with that?" Malcolm asked outrageously. Maxine shook her head and left the locker room. Herbert soon followed. The rest of us left in here were all in Dumbledore's Army.
"It's cause I told her it was none of business." I said, running a hand through my tangled hair. "Whatever, I'll just have my hand sliced open, but don't you guys land yourselves in detention defending me. It's not worth it. I'll see you guys later."
I shouldered my Firebolt and left the locker room. Fred, George, Lee, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were waiting for me some feet away.
"We saw Professor Umbridge leaving the locker room." Fred said. "What did she want?"
"Oh, that's right." I said. "I never told any of you about why she wouldn't put the Hufflepuff team back together."
I explained the whole thing as we headed back to the castle and by the time I was finished with the locker room story, they all looked very murderous except for maybe Ron.
"That's horrible." Hermione said, her eyes flashing. "I'm so glad Professor Sprout managed to get things pushed through for you."
"I'm not." I said glumly. "The next thing you'll know, she'll get put on probation just like Trelawney and it'll be all my fault."
The next two weeks passed wonderfully. I was still working with Rose and Grace on Wednesday and Friday. We had worked on Impediment jinxes and the Reductor Curse. I'd given Rose and Grace much easier (though hard for them) spells to work on.
The meetings had become very erratic but as Harry pointed out to all of us, this meant a pattern couldn't be found.
Hermione had me help her make contact Galleons, using the Protean Charm on them. It was a tricky charm but by the fourth meeting, we had them done.
Hermione explained what the Galleons did as I handed them out to each member. "You see the numerals around the edge of the coins? On real Galleons that's just a serial number referring to the goblin who cast the coin. On these fake coins, though, the numbers will change to reflect the time and date of the next meeting. The coins will grow hot when the date changes, so if you're carrying them in a pocket you'll be able to feel them. We take one each, and when Harry sets the date of the next meeting he'll change the numbers on his coin, and because Elizabeth and I have put a Protean Charm on them, they'll all change to mimic his."
Silence greeted Hermione's words. She looked around as I came back to stand next to her and said nervously, "Well- I thought it was a good idea. I mean, even if Umbridge asked us to turn out our pockets, there's nothing fishy about carrying a Galleon, is there? But. . . well, if you don't want to use them. . ."
"You two can do Protean Charms?" Terry asked.
"Yes." Hermione said. I just shrugged and grinned.
"But that's. . . that's N.E.W.T. standard, that is." Terry said in a weak voice.
"Oh. Oh. . . well. . . yes, I suppose it is. . ." Hermione said, trying not to sound proud of herself. I laughed.
"How come you guys aren't in Ravenclaw?" Terry demanded. "With brains like yours?"
"Well, the Sorting Hat did seriously consider putting me in Ravenclaw during my Sorting. But it decided on Gryffindor in the end." Hermione said brightly.
"The Sorting Hat was going to put my in Gryffindor, and then Slytherin and then Ravenclaw, and then decided on Hufflepuff." I said with a shrug.
"Does that mean we're using them?" Hermione asked.
"I already handed them out." I pointed out. Everyone laughed.
I'd had about five detentions of the past two weeks. Sometimes, my hand would start bleeding during class and by this time, a majority of the teachers and Madam Pomfrey knew what was written on the back of my hand. It was a wonder Dumbledore hadn't called me to his office.
I kept my head up though. I wasn't going to let Umbridge get to me. I wasn't going to let her stop me. I was in Dumbledore's Army. I was the daughter of a werewolf. I was a friend of a centaur. And she was never going to beat me down.

would you do snape's daughter during Dumbledore's death? She has been assigned to kill Dumbledore instead of Draco, all Draco has to do is repair the cabinet but she has to kill Dumbledore. She says the killing curse just as snape bursts in and says it, but both hit Dumbledore and now she's constantly wondering if it was her spell or Snape that killed Dumbledore. Maybe a practice duel against snape and she gets angry thinking about the murder of Dumbledore and if it was her spell or not that killed him and nearly bests snape
Thanks for the ask, and I hope it is as good as I think it isn't. I tried my best 💕
Do Not Pity The Dead - Snape x OC Daughter
Warnings: mentions of unforgivable curses and death

With the real threat of Harry Potter actually winning; Voldemort had begun to feel nervous. Of course, him being the dark lord nervousness was something that he wouldn't allow himself to feel. He would much rather feel the hatred and anger that usually consumed him. As of now, he has taken a liking to punishing the Malfoy's. Draco had been given two tasks that he must complete. Fix thr vanishing cabinet and assassinate the headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Both of those tasks felt impossible to do, but Voldemort knew that.
Draco was not preforming well, as Voldemort had suspected, still he needed the plan to work. This had given himvan idea. If Draco was unable to do something as simple as murder, then he will give the mission to someone who could. His red eyes glanced upon each death-eater. All of them bloodthirsty and would kill anyone just for the hell of it. They were boring, he thought. He wanted someone new. His eyes landed upon a girl that was about the same age as Draco. Her hair black as night, her skin that matched the color of her fathers. Sombra Snape. Darkness followed her just as it had her father. "I order that you are the one to kill Dumbledore." Her eyes widened in surprise, but before she could speak Severus began to express his concern. "With all due respect my lord, I feel it right that she be exempt from such a mission due to its importance that you end up victorious." Snape voiced trying his best to not sound too protective of his only daughter.
Voldemort looked at Snape, his eyes looked colder than ever, and with a terrifying whisper he asked. "Do you undermine me, Severus? Do you forget who you serve?" His serpent-like tone could make anyone shiver. "No, my lord. I just feel that you should assign such a mission to someone of more experience being that the death of Dumbledore is critical to your success. Snape's face remained dull and emotionless. "Someone such as yourself, Severus?" Snape looked a little uncomfortable at the question. "Do you take responsibility for her failure, and will complete the mission if she fails?" He asked, but it really wasn't a question. It was an order. "Yes, my lord."
Draco Malfoy tried to keep his face from beaming with pure relief as he wasn't going to be the one to murder his headmaster and feel the never ending guilt that came with taking a life, because sure he was many things, but a murderer was not one of them. For minutes the silence suffocate the manor and the demand that Voldemort has given had not been accepted. She thought about it, but she knew that she had no choice even if she liked to pretend she did. She answered. "I'll do it. I'll kill Dumbledore."
Voldemort couldn't help the smirk that formed on his thin dead lips. "Very well. You will kill Dumbledore, and Draco will fix the vanishing cabinet. Meeting is over." Snape was furious to say the least. The way that he was looking at her she thought she would be the one to be murdered by the daggers that shot out of her fathers eyes.
The argument that ensued the meeting was intense. "Do you have any idea of the kind of danger you have put yourself into? If you fail, he will kill you!" Those words frustrated her. "What makes you think that I can't do it? You're a death-eater. I'm no different than you." Snape snarled. He looked at her the same way he looked at Harry Potter in first year. "You don't know what you're doing! You're an inexperienced child!" That had done it for her. She stormed off and headed to make her plan for Dumbledore.
Snape had a plan of his own to make, and that was to make sure his only daughter would make it out safely. "So Ms. Sombra is Voldemort's new pawn. She will try to kill me." Dumbledore seemed rather calm about the whole thing. "I will try my best to make sure it doesn't happen." "Severus, please kill me." "Sir, how could you give me such a request?" "I don't want the heaviness to consume her. Please Severus, do not pity me, for I am an old and tired man who will embrace death."
The nights have begun to get dark and rainy. With each passing day Draco stayed locked in the room of requirement attempting to fix the vanishing cabinet.
"Harmonia nectere passus."
"Harmonia nectere passus."
"Harmonia nectere passus." He spoke the incantation in front of the broken cabinet. He was getting impatient and nervous as he tried all year to fix it with no avail.
"Harmonia nectere passus."
"Harmonia nectere passus."
"Harmonia nectere passus." The green apple he used had come back to him with no damage done to it. Had he really done it? Had he really fixed the vanishing cabinet? Yes, he had, and he couldn't help but to let out a noise of excitement and relief.
Now that the cabinet was fixed, there was the final mission that not even she was ready to do. Dumbledore had been gone and nobody was really sure where he was or when he would be back. Nevertheless, she waited for his return. Snape had done his best to try and help. He would do anything for Sombra no matter what the cost was.
Tonight has to be the night she thought. If she didn't do it tonight, then she wouldn't be able to do it at all. Rumora had started to spread around the school, and two of them were the most talked about. The rumor was that both she and Draco had become death-eaters. The rumors were true, but damn could they talk.
It so happened that Dumbledore knew everything thanks to Snape. Dumbeldore followed her plan exactly how she had planned it to go. The final step was the astronomy tower. She was there waiting patiently like a snake in the grass just waiting to strike. Dumbledore really was okay with dying. He knew that death would come go him eventually.
"Are you sure about this?" Snape asked the headmaster. "Of course, I am." Dumbledore reassured. He took a quick look around for signs of her, but he knew she would be sneaky. She had heard that Dumbledore would he up at the astronomy tower at exactly midnight, and she was ready for him. (As ready as she could be.) She clutched her wand and walked into the moonlight. "Ms. Snape what a pleasure." Dumbledore's voice echoed in happiness. Thus made her confused being that she was sure he knew what was about to happen. "Are you willing to do this?" He asked with a smile. "What makes you think that I can't?" She stayed staring at him in a silent rage. "Severus, please."
"Avada kadavra!" She and Snape casted the killing curse in unison. Dumbledore had fallen to his death, but she wasn't quite sure who did it, her or her father. "Why dud you cast the spell?" She questioned anger coating her voice. "You don't know what you did!" You're just a child!" Her eyes darkened in anger. "You always think I'm incapable of doing anything!" "I am just trying to keep you safe Sombra!" She had heard enough and stomped away with a question floating around in her head. Did she really kill Dumbledore?
She was left feeling dazed. Losing herself in her thoughts of whether she had murdered Dumbledore or did her father do it. The sadness draped down over Hogwarts, like a heavy blanket that suffocated everyone under it. Th Hogwarts that she knew that gleamed with childhood innocence was now a broken pile of memories.
Days had passed and the question still remained in her mind. She had no choice but to ask her father for the truth and marched to Malfoy Manor. "Did you kill him or did I?" She didn't care that yhe room was occupied by Voldemort and death-eaters. All of the turning to her in intrigue. "What do you think?" Snape asked. "I think you're full of crap." Voldemort laughed at her childish insult and pointed a boney finger towards her. "Why don't you settle this in a little practice duel?" Dnape took his want out and lifted up his sleeve while the death-eaters cheered in excitement.
Flickers of red light emitting out of her want. Snape however kept blocking her attacks, and jt seemed to be slowly tiring him out. Her silent spells to stun him were not doing much to take him down. Her only thought was the cruciatus curse. "Crucio!" The spell nearly missed him making the both of them a bit stunned, but Snape quickly got his focus back before she could come to realization that she almost hurt her own father. "Expelliarmus!" Her wand flew out of her handband the sound of clapping fills the silence. "She almost had you." Voldemort mocked. She looked at her father in anger and all he did was "I got him before you could, so you wouldn't feel the burden of being a murderer." He stormed out of Malfoy Manor and apparated away. She was left feeling worse than ever.

Jealous severus x reader? maybe involving lockheart
Title: Someone Like Me?
Warning: Angst, jealous severus, lockhart
Words Count: 3000+
Masterlist
---
The air in the Hogwarts greenhouse was thick with the scent of soil and herbs as Y/N moved gently through the rows of plants. She had always found comfort here, among the vibrant greenery and the soft hum of magical growth. Herbology was her sanctuary, and each day she poured her heart into tending to the rare plants and teaching her students how to care for them with the same tenderness.
It was peaceful, or at least, it had been until recently.
As of late, her tranquility had been invaded by a certain new presence at the school—Gilderoy Lockhart, the newly appointed Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. His arrival had caused quite the stir, especially among the female students and even some of the staff, but for Y/N, his constant attention was becoming more than a little uncomfortable.
At first, she had thought it was just harmless friendliness. Lockhart had swept into her greenhouse on the first week of term, his toothy smile gleaming as brightly as the medals on his robes.
"My dear Professor Y/N!" he had exclaimed, clasping his hands together in a gesture that was all too theatrical. "I must say, you have the most enchanting little space here! It’s no wonder the students speak so highly of you."
Y/N had blushed, embarrassed by the attention, and murmured something about the plants deserving the praise, not her. Lockhart, however, had waved away her modesty with a laugh that echoed too loudly in the intimate confines of the greenhouse.
"Nonsense, nonsense! I can see that you put as much care into your work as I do into my own," he said, leaning in just a little too close. "You and I, we have much in common, I think."
She had smiled politely, trying not to shrink under his overly familiar presence. She wasn’t used to people being so forward with her. It wasn’t that she was oblivious—Y/N had noticed Lockhart’s flirtations—but she simply didn’t know how to respond. Confrontation wasn’t in her nature, and she didn’t want to create awkwardness among the staff. So, she had smiled, and tried to extricate herself from his attention as gracefully as she could.
But it didn’t stop there.
Lockhart’s visits to the greenhouse became more frequent. He would find reasons to come by during her lessons, interrupting her with flamboyant anecdotes about his supposed adventures. The students would giggle or roll their eyes, but Y/N found herself growing more and more uneasy. His compliments had become more pointed, more personal, always accompanied by a lingering touch on her arm or a too-familiar smile.
"Professor Y/N," Lockhart had said one afternoon, as he appeared at her greenhouse once more, his robes billowing dramatically behind him. "I was just telling the Headmaster how much we make the perfect team, you and I. Perhaps we should write a book together! Herbs and Heroics, don’t you think? It would sell like that." He snapped his fingers, leaning toward her again.
Y/N’s discomfort had risen, her hands twisting nervously around a sprig of dittany. "I—I’m really not a writer, Professor Lockhart. I don’t think—"
"Nonsense!" he interrupted, his tone dripping with charm. "With your knowledge of plants and my experience, we’d make quite the pair. Don’t you think?"
His hand brushed her shoulder as he spoke, and Y/N stiffened slightly. She gave a weak smile, hoping he’d take the hint, but once again, she found herself trapped by her own politeness. She didn’t want to upset him, didn’t want to cause a scene, but Merlin, how she wished he would leave her alone.
Across the castle, in the dimly lit Potions classroom, Severus Snape stood over a cauldron, stirring the mixture with precise movements, though his mind was far from the task at hand.
For weeks now, he had been watching. Watching as Lockhart fawned over Y/N, as he invaded her personal space with that nauseating smile and those absurd stories. It was infuriating. Severus had always been protective of Y/N—more than he would ever admit. They had worked together for years now, and though their relationship had never ventured beyond professional, he had long harbored feelings for her that he kept buried deep inside.
He had always told himself that Y/N deserved better than him, better than someone as broken and cold as he was. She was kind, too kind for the likes of him. So, he had never acted on his feelings, content to watch from the sidelines, to enjoy the small moments when they shared quiet conversations about rare herbs or discussed the latest potions ingredients she had gathered for him.
But now, with Lockhart constantly hovering around her, Severus found his resolve crumbling.
At first, he had tried to ignore it. Lockhart was a buffoon, and surely Y/N would see through his ridiculous posturing soon enough. But day after day, Severus watched as Lockhart showered her with attention, and worst of all, Y/N didn’t reject him. She didn’t push him away. She didn’t seem to be upset by his advances.
And that was what hurt the most.
Perhaps, Severus thought bitterly, she liked Lockhart’s attention. Perhaps she enjoyed the compliments, the flirtation. Why wouldn’t she? Lockhart was everything Severus wasn’t—charming, outgoing, and confident. And while Severus could see through the man’s facade, perhaps Y/N couldn’t.
Perhaps she was falling for him.
The thought sent a cold wave of pain through Severus, and he found himself withdrawing from Y/N more and more. It was easier that way. Easier to distance himself before he had to watch her fall into Lockhart’s arms. He started avoiding her, no longer lingering in the staffroom when she entered, no longer stopping by her greenhouse to ask for ingredients. He couldn’t bear it. Couldn’t bear to watch her be swept away by someone so unworthy of her, and yet… someone she seemed to be accepting.
Y/N had noticed the change almost immediately.
Severus was avoiding her.
For weeks now, he had been cold, distant, and she couldn’t understand why. She had always admired Severus, despite his stern demeanor and cutting remarks. There was something about him that intrigued her, something deeper, and over the years, she had come to value the rare moments when he let his guard down, even if just for a second.
But now, it was as if he had built a wall between them. She couldn’t even catch his eye in the hallways, and whenever she tried to speak to him, he dismissed her with a curt nod or a sharp word. It hurt more than she cared to admit. She missed him, missed their quiet conversations and the way he would surprise her with his vast knowledge of plants and potions.
At first, she thought she had done something to upset him, but no matter how many times she went over their last conversations, she couldn’t find anything wrong. It wasn’t until she saw the way Severus’s eyes flickered with something close to anger when he caught her speaking with Lockhart that she began to piece it together.
Could it be… jealousy?
The thought was almost too much to believe. Severus, jealous of Lockhart? The idea seemed absurd, and yet, the more she thought about it, the more sense it made. She had seen the way his expression darkened when Lockhart was near, the way his jaw clenched whenever the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor tried to engage her in conversation.
But if Severus was upset, he wasn’t going to tell her. He was too stubborn for that.
So, after weeks of being brushed aside, Y/N decided she needed to confront him. She couldn’t take the cold distance anymore, and if he was angry with her, she needed to know why.
One evening, after a particularly long day in the greenhouse, Y/N made her way down to the dungeons. She had seen Severus slip out of the Great Hall after dinner, his usual shadowy presence retreating into the depths of the castle. She followed him, her heart pounding in her chest with nerves, but she was determined to get answers.
She found him in his office, sitting behind his desk, a quill in hand as he scrawled something into a large, leather-bound book. He didn’t look up when she knocked softly on the doorframe.
"Severus," she said quietly, stepping into the room.
He didn’t respond at first, his eyes remaining fixed on the parchment before him.
"Severus," she repeated, a little more firmly.
With a sigh of irritation, he finally glanced up, his dark eyes cold and unreadable. "What do you want, Y/N?"
Y/N hesitated, her fingers twisting nervously together. "I… I need to know why you’ve been avoiding me."
Severus’s expression didn’t change. He set his quill down, leaning back in his chair with a look of cool indifference. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Yes, you do," Y/N pressed, stepping closer to his desk. "You’ve been avoiding me for weeks now, and I don’t understand why. Did I do something to upset you?"
He let out a harsh laugh, though there was no humor in it. "Upset me? No, Y/N, you didn’t upset me. I simply have no interest in wasting my time with someone like you."
The words hit her like a physical blow, and she took a step back, her eyes widening in hurt and confusion. "Someone like me? What does that mean?"
Severus’s gaze was sharp, his voice colder than she had ever heard it. "You know exactly what it means. I’ve seen the way you prance around with Lockhart, letting him fawn over you like some lovesick puppy. Clearly, you enjoy the attention."
Y/N’s heart clenched painfully in her chest. "I—Severus, it’s not like that. I don’t—"
But he cut her off, his words laced with bitterness. "Don’t insult my intelligence, Y/N. I’ve seen how you let him flirt with you, how you blush and smile like a schoolgirl..I don’t have time for someone like you. If you enjoy Lockhart’s company so much, then by all means, continue. But don’t expect me to waste my time on someone who can’t even see past his ridiculous charm."
Y/N felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes, the weight of his cruel words crushing her. She had never seen Severus like this, so angry, so hurt. She opened her mouth to speak, to defend herself, but the words wouldn’t come. All she could do was stand there, frozen in place, as Severus’s cold gaze bore into her.
When she finally found her voice, it was barely a whisper. "I never wanted his attention, Severus. I’ve only ever—"
"Enough," Severus snapped, standing abruptly and turning away from her. "I don’t want to hear it. If you wish to continue entertaining that fool, that’s your business. But I will not be part of it."
With that, he stormed out of the room, leaving Y/N standing there, her heart shattered and tears spilling down her cheeks. She had come for answers, but all she had found was pain.
The following days were a blur for Y/N. She avoided the staffroom, avoided Severus, and kept to herself in the greenhouse. She couldn’t stop replaying their conversation in her head, his harsh words echoing painfully in her mind. I simply have no interest in wasting my time with someone like you.
She hadn’t known it was possible to feel this hurt, this rejected. For the first time, she found herself dreading the start of each day, dreading the possibility of seeing Severus in the halls. The spark of happiness that usually came with her work had dimmed, replaced by a hollow sadness that seemed to follow her everywhere she went.
Even her students noticed the change in her demeanor, though they were too polite to mention it. She tried to hide her feelings, tried to put on a brave face, but it was difficult. Every time she passed Severus in the corridors, her heart ached with the memory of his words, and every time Lockhart made his usual visits to the greenhouse, she felt a wave of nausea rise in her throat.
It didn’t take long for Minerva McGonagall to notice.
One afternoon, as Y/N was tending to a bed of mandrakes, Minerva appeared at the door of the greenhouse, her sharp eyes studying Y/N with a knowing look.
"Y/N," she said softly, stepping into the room. "May I have a word?"
Y/N looked up, startled, and quickly wiped her hands on her apron. "Of course, Minerva."
Minerva approached her, her expression softening as she saw the sadness in Y/N’s eyes. "You’ve been rather quiet lately, my dear. Is everything all right?"
Y/N forced a smile, though it didn’t reach her eyes. "I’m fine, just… busy."
Minerva didn’t seem convinced. She took a seat on one of the nearby benches, folding her hands in her lap as she spoke. "You’ve been avoiding the staffroom, and I can’t help but notice that you haven’t been your usual self. Is there something going on? Does it have to do with Severus?"
The mention of his name sent a sharp pang through Y/N’s chest, and she looked away, her hands trembling slightly as she fussed with the dirt on her fingertips.
"I… I don’t know," she admitted quietly. "I thought we were friends, but lately… I think I’ve upset him. He won’t talk to me anymore."
Minerva’s brow furrowed, concern flashing across her features. "I see. Severus can be… difficult, at times. But I know he holds you in high regard. It’s unlike him to act this way without reason."
Y/N let out a soft sigh, her voice tinged with sadness. "I don’t know what I did wrong. He said I was wasting his time, that he didn’t want to deal with me anymore. And now… now he won’t even look at me."
Minerva’s eyes softened, and she reached out to place a comforting hand on Y/N’s arm. "I don’t believe that’s true, my dear. Severus may not always show it, but he cares deeply for the people in his life. Whatever has caused this rift between you, I don’t believe it’s something you’ve done."
Y/N shook her head, her throat tightening with the weight of her emotions. "But he’s so angry with me. He thinks… he thinks I like Lockhart."
At the mention of Lockhart’s name, Minerva’s expression shifted into something closer to exasperation. "Lockhart? Merlin, that man has been more of a nuisance than I expected. But Severus should know better than to assume that you have any interest in him. He’s clearly projecting his own insecurities onto you."
Y/N blinked, surprised by Minerva’s words. "You think… you think Severus is jealous?"
Minerva smiled faintly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "I do, Y/N. It’s quite obvious to those of us who know him well. Severus may not be the most forthcoming when it comes to his feelings, but it’s clear that he has feelings for you. He’s just too proud—and too afraid—to admit it."
Y/N’s heart skipped a beat at Minerva’s words. Could it be true? Could Severus’s coldness and bitterness be a result of jealousy?
Minerva gave her a knowing look, standing up from the bench. "I suggest you talk to him, Y/N. Really talk to him. He may not make it easy, but I think you’ll find that he cares more than he lets on."
Severus paced his chambers, his mind a storm of conflicting emotions. He had hurt her—he knew that much. The look in her eyes when he had spoken those cruel words haunted him, and yet, he couldn’t stop the bitterness that had fueled his anger.
It was easier this way, he told himself. Easier to push her away before she had the chance to reject him. Easier to convince himself that she wanted someone else—someone like Lockhart—than to face the truth of his own feelings.
But the truth was becoming harder and harder to ignore.
There was a knock at the door, and Severus’s heart leapt into his throat when he saw Y/N standing there, her eyes red-rimmed but determined.
"Severus," she said, her voice soft but steady. "We need to talk."
He turned away from her, trying to compose himself, but the sight of her standing there, vulnerable and hurt, made his resolve crumble.
"Y/N, I—" He paused, his throat tightening with guilt. "I’m sorry."
She stepped inside, closing the door behind her. "I don’t understand, Severus. Why are you pushing me away? Why are you so angry with me?"
Severus closed his eyes, exhaling slowly. He couldn’t keep lying to her—not anymore.
"I’m not angry with you," he said finally, his voice low. "I’m angry with myself."
Y/N frowned, stepping closer. "What does that mean?"
Severus hesitated, his fingers curling into fists at his sides. He hated this—hated being vulnerable, hated exposing the raw, aching feelings that he had spent so long trying to bury. But he owed her the truth.
"I saw the way Lockhart was… pursuing you," Severus began, his voice tight. "And I thought… I thought you were enjoying it. That you wanted his attention. It hurt, Y/N. It hurt to think that you could fall for someone like him when…" He trailed off, unable to finish the sentence.
Y/N’s eyes softened with understanding. "When what, Severus?"
He met her gaze, his dark eyes filled with something raw and unspoken. "When I’ve been in love with you for years."
The words hung in the air between them, heavy and vulnerable. Y/N’s breath caught in her throat, her heart pounding in her chest.
"I never wanted his attention, Severus," she said softly, her voice trembling. "I never wanted anyone’s attention but yours."
Severus stared at her, stunned by her words. For a moment, he couldn’t speak, couldn’t move. And then, slowly, he closed the distance between them, his hand trembling slightly as he reached out to cup her cheek.
"I’m sorry," he whispered again, his voice thick with emotion. "I’m sorry for pushing you away. I’m sorry for hurting you."
Y/N smiled through her tears, leaning into his touch. "I forgive you, Severus."
And for the first time in what felt like forever, Severus allowed himself to hope.

MINISTRY OF MAGIC, GRAND MEETING ROOM
🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
Severus stands off to the side near Remus as the Minister of Magic, aka Hermione Granger, stands on stage with Harry. Elizabeth is technically on stage, though she is standing off to the side, leaning against the wall. She looks deep in concentration, not paying attention to the other witches and wizards that move around below her.
Kingsley is there too, though Severus has no idea when he returned to London. The last he had heard, the retired Minister had settled down in Jamaica to live the rest of his days out in peace.
Sprinkled throughout older Ministry wizards and witches are familiar faces of his past students or former colleagues. His godson Draco stands near Ginny and Ron Weasley. He notices that Minerva has shown up at some point, along with Trang.
"Order!" Hermione calls from the stage. "Order. Do I have to conjure silence?"
Severus smiles to himself as he watches Elizabeth roll her eyes. Both of them know you can't actually conjure silence. Rather, it's a spell to give the illusion of silence, though someone could still be speaking.
"Good. Welcome to this extraordinary general meeting. I'm so pleased so many of you could make it. The wizarding world has been living in peace now for many years. It's twenty-two years since we defeated Voldemort at the Battle of Hogwarts, and I'm delighted to say there is a new generation being brought up having known only the slightest conflict. Until now. Harry."
Severus frowned slightly as he watched Harry take to the mic next. Until now?
"Voldemort's allies have been showing movement for a few months now. We've followed trolls making their way across Europe, giants starting to cross the seas, and the werewolves- well, I'm distressed to say we lost sight of them some weeks ago. We don't know where they're going or who's encouraged them to move- but we are aware they are moving- and we are concerned what it might mean. So we're asking- if anyone has seen anything? Felt anything? If you could raise a wand, we will hear everyone speak. Professor McGonagall- thank you."
"It did look like the potions stores had been interfered with when we returned from summer break, but not a huge amount of ingredients were missing, some Boomslang skin and Lacewing flies nothing on the Restricted Register. We put it down to Peeves."
Severus immediately felt alarm. Those were ingredients for Polyjuice Potion! Sure, other potions, but for them to be stolen or missing? It had to be Polyjuice potion. His eyes met Elizabeths', who were reflecting his realization back to him.
"Thank you, Professor. We shall investigate. Nobody else?" Minister Granger asked as she looked around. Severus  noticed that Trang looked like she wanted to say something, and then held back, shooting a covert look at Shacklebolt instead. "Fine, and- gravest of all- and this hasn't been the case since Voldemort- Harry's scar is hurting again."
Severus almost laughed out loud, except that he knew the details between Potters' scar and the vanquished Dark Lord.
"Voldemort is dead. Voldemort is gone." Draco said fiercely.
"Yes, Draco, Voldemort is dead, but these things all lead us to think that there is a possibility that Voldemort- or some trace of Voldemort- might be back."
Severus couldn't help but exchange a look with Lupin, who looked as convinced as Severus felt. It was impossible. The horcruxes had all been destroyed and Voldemorts body had been viewed by everyone at the Battle of Hogwarts. There was no spell, no potion, nothing that could bring him back to life.
Except time. . .
"Now this is difficult but we have to ask it to rule it out. Those of you with a Dark Mark. . . have you felt anything? Even a twinge?" Potter asked.
"Back to being prejudiced against those with a Dark Mark, are we, Potter?" Draco challenged him.
Severus sighed aloud.
"No, Draco. Harry is simply trying to-"
"You know what this is about? Harry just wants his face back in the newspapers again. We've had rumors of Voldemort coming back from the Daily Prophet once a year every year-"
"None of those rumors came from me!" Harry snapped.
"Really? Doesn't your wife edit the Daily Prophet?" Draco retorted.
"The sports page!" The red headed Weasley girl spoke up.
"This isn't good." Remus muttered next to him.
"Draco. Harry brought this matter to the attention of the Ministry." Minister Granger tried again. "And I- as Minister for Magic-"
"A vote you only won because you are his friend." Draco smirked.
"Do you want a smack in the mouth?" Weasley snarled.
"Face it-" Draco said, unperturbed. "his celebrity impacts upon you all. And how better to get everyone whispering the Potter name again than with 'my scar is hurting, my scar is hurting'. And do you know what this all means- that the gossipmongers once again have an opportunity to defame my son with these ridiculous rumors about his parentage."
"Draco, no one is saying this has anything to do with Scorpius-"
"What about you Kane?" Draco snapped. "What do you have to say about Voldemort coming back?"
Elizabeth glanced over at him as though only just realizing that he was there and speaking. She looked around the entire meeting room and said slowly. "I have not seen Voldemort himself. There is a danger, but I can't see it yet. My visions have come much slower in the past years than they did while we were at school."
Draco shook his head and walked out of the courtroom. Surprisingly, Elizabeth followed him out, looking a little dazed and confused, her eyes slightly glossy. Severus watched her go and then raised his wand.
"Yes Severus?" Minister Granger asked tiredly.
"For Potters' previous question about the Dark Mark, I haven't felt anything from it since the Battle of Hogwarts." Severus sighed.
"Thank you." Granger said, making a note on her papers.
By this point, a large majority had followed Draco out after Elizabeths' announcement.
"Would've been nice if Elizabeth had just told us Voldemort wasn't a problem before we held the meeting." Weasley grumbled to his wife.
"Knock it off Ron." Ginny sighed.
"Severus, can I talk to you?" Remus asked quietly, the two older men leaving the courtroom. "Is Elizabeth okay?"
"Honestly?" Severus asked quietly, leaning against the tiled wall of the Ministry hallway. "I don't know. We've had it rough since our last kids went off to Hogwarts. . . well you knew that anyways. We've been making up, this summer has been good, but something still feels off. Whatever is happening has her worried, but she. . . she hides it well."
"You can't grill her over it?" Remus asked skeptically. "You, Dumbledore, Minerva, you all did that when she was in school."
"I wasn't worried about our marriage succeeding or failing back then either." Severus sighed. "Honestly, I'm afraid that if I push the wrong buttons it's over. And quite frankly Remus, I can't lose her. I can't. But I'm starting to wonder if she's outgrowing me."
Both of them were quiet and Severus caught sight of Trang and Kingsley talking to each other, both of them looking worried. Trang was showing him something on a piece of paper and he was tempted to go into one of their minds and find out what the drama was. All with the intentions of keeping Elizabeth's best friend safe of course. But he refrained.
"That's not the Elizabeth I know." Remus finally said. "She loves you. She always has. Otherwise she wouldn't have put up with you for as long as she has. Maybe it's that depression some mothers get when they no longer have kids in the house. Like she doesn't know what to do with herself now."
Severus smiled a little. "She's actually pregnant."
Remus smiled a little too. "So you gave in?"
"Not like it was planned, but well I won't go into the details but she's happy so I'm happy."
Remus nodded and the two of them fell silent as Tonks walked over. "Fine." She said, rolling her eyes. "Keep your secrets. But Remus, we're going to be late."
"Of course." Severus rolled his eyes at Remus sappy love voice, although he knew that's probably exactly how he sounded when he talked to Elizabeth. "See you later Severus."
"Sure." Severus said, glancing back down to where Trang and Kingsley had been but they were both gone now. He quickly left the Ministry, going to find Elizabeth.

I know I said I wasn't publishing anymore chapters until November, but I needed to post something for Maggie Smiths' deathday. Happy (would it be 0th or 1st Deathday?). Anyways, R.I.P. Maggie Smith. I hope you're in a better place now. 🐈
