*originally began working on this a few years ago, but i’m picking it back up so here you goo. Ashes and Onyx is a Harry Potter retelling from the pov of Severus and his daughter*
Ashes & Onyx
(the prologue)
———————————
One cold and dreary night in September of 1981, Severus Snape sat in his study reading his books, as he did every night. Nighttime was the only time of day that allowed him to relax due to his tiresome schedule. He was approaching his first year of teaching at his alma mater, Hogwarts, and on top of that, he was now working as a double agent for both Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort.
It had been raining for what seemed like weeks on Spinners End. To Severus, it calmed him to read his book, sip on his fire whisky and watch the raindrops fall slowly down the windowpane. By nine o'clock, Severus had finished his second glass of fire whisky and was 40 pages away from finishing his book titled 'Spellman's Syllabary' when he heard a knock at his door. He groaned as he placed his book on the coffee table next to him and made his way to the front door. Severus opened the door as a gust of cold air hit his face causing him to squint his eyes. As he reopened them, he was met face to face with Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts.
"Whatever it is I must do, surely can wait till morning sir." Severus calmly stated.
It seemed as if Severus was constantly running back and forth from his home to Lord Voldemort's location to catch the headmaster up on whatever the Dark Lord was planning.
"I'm not here to give you a task Severus" The headmaster explained with a sorrowful look on his face. This caught Severus' attention.
"Jane McKinnon is dead" Dumbledore stated simply "Rodolphus and Bellatrix Lestrange killed her 2 weeks ago."
Severus stood in the doorway with a blank expression. He didn't know what to think.
Severus met Jane his 6th year of Hogwarts. Soon after his fallout with his first love, Lily Potter, a snarky brunette Gryffindor girl caught his attention during potions class. Severus was hesitant at first about interacting with this girl due to his last failure with a Gryffindor, but soon found out to his surprise that this girl was much different. Over the course of a few weeks, the two became inseparable. Although Severus knew that Lily Potter would always have a place in his heart, Jane also created a space as well, which resulted in the young Hogwarts students eventually falling in love. Severus shared all of his "firsts" with Jane and he truly believed they would remain together forever. Upon graduating from Hogwarts, Severus became clueless of what his purpose in life truly was. Although Jane hinted towards the two joining Dumbledore's secret organization, the Order of the Phoenix, to combat Lord Voldemort, Severus found himself leaning more towards joining Voldemort and his Death Eaters. It was true and always will be true that Severus loved Jane dearly, but his lack of confidence in himself convinced him that he was undeserving of Jane's love. August 27, 1979 was the last time he looked Jane in the eyes.
"I believe you deserved to know" The old headmaster said with despair in his eyes as he turned to walk away.
Severus watched as Dumbledore disappeared into the rainy night before shutting the door.
The thirty days that followed that dreadful night became increasingly disheartening as the days went by. Severus couldn't understand how not seeing a person for 2 years could make grieving a person even more heart wrenching. He sat in silence most days, staring outside the window as people passed by. He did not feel sadness. He believed that shutting off the feeling of sadness for all those years in his life made it impossible for him to feel that feeling ever again.
He recognized very soon that his theory was completely wrong. On October 31, 1981, Severus remained in his study, waiting for confirmation that the prophecy he worked so hard on making fail actually worked. He closed his eyes as he remembered overhearing the prophecy of the Potter Family's new child. Severus knew what the fate of the family (mostly Lily's fate) would be if the prophecy was foretold. He cringed at the thought.
As the clock stuck 10 o'clock, Severus heard a knock at his door. He closed his eyes as he remembered what happened the last time there was a strange knock at his door. Severus stood up and walked towards the front door, revealing Albus Dumbledore once again behind it. It took Severus 30 seconds to recognize the familiar look on the headmaster's face and 20 more seconds to apparate out of his home and to the location the Potter's once resided. Soon after, everything went black.
Three weeks went by in a flash through Severus' eyes. He spent his days drowning his many sorrows with fire whisky and anything else he could find. If he had the choice, he would have continued that routine for months, but his duties eventually called to begin teaching at Hogwarts like he promised.
Preparing to visit his old school was one of the most challenging duties he experience in awhile. Hogwarts reminded him only of his two lovers who no longer existed on this planet.
That Sunday afternoon, Severus grabbed whatever belongings he needed and groaned as he apparated out of his tiny home on Spinners End to the large castle well recognized by Severus. He thought to himself as he walked onto the castle's grounds of why Dumbledore asked him to visit the school of all days. He crossed his fingers as he walked through the doors that the headmaster would hopefully relieve him of his duty to teach so that he could return to spending every day in sorrow.
As he approached the office that belonged to Headmaster Dumbledore, he heard a familiar voice belonging to an old teacher and friend, Minerva McGonagall.
"Ah," The headmaster began to speak "Severus please come in."
Severus stepped forward and continued to exchange glances between Minerva and Dumbledore.
"How are you doing Severus?" Minerva spoke with a sorrowful voice.
Severus breathed in deeply "I've been better."
The three remained silent for what seemed like ages until Dumbledore spoke once more.
"I've been meaning to give you some space and time to grieve Severus...and I hope I succeeded in that" The headmaster spoke.
Severus closed his eyes as he thought to himself it surely wasn't enough time.
"I have thought through this conversation with you for weeks now Severus and I can't seem to find the right way of going about it." Dumbledore spoke again. "As I said before, my intentions were to allow you to grieve until you are ready, but certain events have caused me to cut that break short."
Dumbledore went silent causing Severus' mind to race. What possibly could have happened now? Severus remained where he was and waited for the headmaster to speak again.
"I was visited a week ago by someone who is familiar to us both. We all thought of how to possibly go about this but of course, there is no right way..." Dumbledore stepped aside, causing Severus' attention to go towards a person walking out of the room in the back of the headmaster's office.
Severus soon realized that the person walking out was Remus Lupin, an old classmate he was not too fond of holding...a child? This caused the situation to become even more confusing in Severus' mind. He examined the child who looked to be about one or two years old in Lupin's arms. He studied the child, taking in every little feature. He started by looking at the tiny, jet black curls on top of her head which matched the color of the child's glossy eyes. As he stared more and more at the fragile little girl, his heart soon sank from his chest. The more he studied the child, the more he saw her: Jane.
"W-what is this?" Severus questioned as he took in an icy cold breath.
"She brought her to me the night before she died Severus." Remus Lupin finally spoke up "You were no longer in the picture and wasn't supposed to know about her...but Jane's fate shifted and she begged me to make sure she would be in your life."
Severus stood frozen as his mind went blank. A child? My child?
"N-no. You have to be mistaken. There is no way that I have a child" Severus stammered.
The three stared at Severus as they knew Severus was only in shock and that he knew what Remus was stating was the truth.
Severus focused his attention back on Dumbledore "Albus...I cannot take care of a child. I can barely take care of myself."
Remus stepped closer and began to speak once again "The child belongs to you Severus. I understand that we have not always been on the best terms, but Jane made me her Godfather...I can help you. It's what Jane wanted."
What Jane wanted. How could he choose to continue to disappoint the woman he loved? The woman who's death he blamed himself for.
"Just hold her for a second Severus." McGonagall spoke up "hold her and see how you feel."
Remus slowly walked in Severus' direction until they were met face to face. Severus hesitated as Remus slowly passed the now sleepy infant. The child came closer and closer to Severus' shaky hands as he quickly found himself holding her in cradle position. His body tensed up at the strange feeling. Severus was never fond of children and typically tried his best to stay away from them as much as possible, making his new teaching position very ironic. The child moved slowly in his arms, finding a comfortable position in his rigid arms.
"She has your eyes Severus." McGonagall spoke again.
A million thoughts raced through Severus' head along with panic. He couldn't be a father. He didn't know how to be father.— then quicker than the million panicking thoughts, Severus experienced a different feeling he could barely recognize— serenity.
The child looked up at him with her beady, onyx colored eyes as he recognized the face. There was no denying that the infant belonged to Severus; they shared the same phenotypic traits, but above all else, she was an exact copy of Jane. Tears welled up in his eyes, causing the thoughts in his head to turn once more. He had a child. He was a father.

3 Years Later. January 10, 1984
Outside the kitchen window on Spinners End, Severus watched as tiny snowflakes hit the ice cold ground in his yard. He continued to stare out the window as he mixed hot oats in a bowl that looked as if it were made for a mouse. If the Severus now was able to go back in time to four years ago to tell himself that he was a father and actually enjoy it, he believed he would have used the killing curse on himself.
He set the bowl on his kitchen table and then proceeded to walk down the hall to a tiny room at the end. As he walked inside, he proceeded to take in the sight of his daughters room. He looked at the walls that were painted a faint shade of pink. As he made his way toward the window, he was cautious to not step on the tiny dolls and and trinkets that were laying on the floor. Severus then pulled back the matching pink curtains on the window, revealing the sunlight.
He then made this way toward the tiny bed in the corner, slowly pulling back the duvet.
He bent down and touched the soft skin on his daughters arms "Calliope" He whispered to not startle his now groggy toddler.
Calliope. The child's name was revealed to him when he first met her on that Fall day 3 years ago. The second he heard it, the tiniest smile appeared on Severus' face. During Jane's younger years at Hogwarts, she spent most of her time reading books. Jane spent many of her years with Severus studying "Greek mythology" and reading out of poetry books to him while he studied. It only made sense that she named her daughter after the Greek goddess of eloquence and poetry. Calliope's middle name had not been given, which resulted in Severus accomplishing that duty instead. After holding the tiny infant in his arms for over an hour, he finally declared that she would be named Calliope Jane Snape.
Once Calliope was fully awake, she crawled out of bed and followed Severus to the kitchen to begin breakfast. He helped her into her chair and handed her a spoon, signaling for Calliope to begin eating. He took his place in the chair beside her and began to look through the mail that arrived earlier that morning. As he shuffled through the many newsletters and bills, he eventually pulled out a postcard with the words "from Uncle Lupin" on the front.
Remus kept his word when he told Severus three years ago that he would remain in Calliope's life to help out. Severus was not always particularly happy about Lupin's presence due to the rivalry they had in school, but Severus pushed his hatred aside for his daughter's sake. Calliope loved when her Uncle Lupin was around (which was more often than sometimes wanted). He had been at the Snape residence for almost every important milestone. He was around for Calliope's first steps, first words, and many more milestones. Although Lupin's presence was not always wanted, the two never let that affect their excitement and love for the toddler.
The days continued at a normal fashion and Severus believed his life was finally stable. But just as he imagined his past self at the beginning of the week, he could see his future self shaking his head in disappointment.
It was another cold morning on September 13, 1984 when an unexpected knock came from the door. Severus looked up from his newspaper and began to feel deja-vu. He hesitated and for a split second thought about ignoring the knock, as every time an unexpected guest arrives at his doorstep, it's never a good sign. He snapped out of his thoughts and walked swiftly to greet the unknown guest outside. As he opened the door the deja-vu feeling returned as he faced Albus Dumbledore. A confused look spread on his face as he noticed a person was standing next to him...the Hogwarts professor of Divination, Sybill Trelawney.
"Good morning" Severus greeted the two with a confused look remaining on his face.
"Good morning Severus" Albus spoke "may we come in?"
Severus allowed the two into his living area as the three took a seat and sat in silence for a few moments.
"I really do hate to create a trend Severus" the headmaster spoke again causing a sarcastic chuckle to come from Severus "but I'm afraid Professor Trelawney has some dire information for you."
Professor Trelawney took a breathe before looking at Severus "There is another prophecy..." she stated causing worry to spread through Severus' body.
"...which is?" Severus questioned.
"You must get young Calliope somewhere safe tonight Severus. It was not fully clear, but I am led to believe that Bellatrix Lestrange has plans to harm your daughter in revenge tonight."
Severus froze. He thought back to how content he was ten minutes ago, and now it is spoiled.
"I do not understand. Where exactly is 'somewhere safe'?" Severus began.
"Anywhere you can think of Severus. Bellatrix is simple minded. She will come straight to you with the intention that Calliope is here. But you must act fast before she realizes otherwise" Dumbledore added in.
Severus froze once more and thought about every possibility that could occur. He snapped back to reality in a flash and moved swiftly to his daughters bedroom. He grabbed everything in sight that he believed the toddler may need for overnight and then rushed her toward the living room.
"There is a woman that lives in Little Hangleton that has helped us in situations such as these before Severus. If you have no thought of where she could go, I assure you that Calliope could hide there." Albus broke the silence.
Severus stopped in his tracks. He had no family she could go to. He could not leave her with Remus as that was too predictable, but he also did not feel okay with sending his daughter to a stranger's home. He fought with the ideas in his head and eventually came to terms with the realization that this unknown woman was the only option. He answered Albus' suggestion with just a nod.
The news got to Remus quickly. Soon enough, he was on the doorstep on Spinners End with an equal amount of terror. Severus and Remus decided unanimously that they both would stay at the Snape household that night to face Bellatrix due to the fact that they would be much stronger together.
As the evening approached, Severus recognized that it was time to send Calliope into hiding. He zipped up her winter coat and bent down to look her in the eyes.
"You're going to have a sleepover." He informed the four year old as she stared at him blankly.
He stood up and walked her over to the headmaster waiting in the doorway. Severus handed him a bottle with the label 'Sleeping Draught'. Severus kissed his daughters forehead one last time and watched as the old headmaster apparated away with the child.
Three hours felt like forever as Severus and Remus sat in the living room on Spinners End. The slightest sounds that occurred every ten minutes triggered the two men to grab their wands and prepare for battle. Severus eventually began to question the truthfulness of the prophecy that Trelawney had told him earlier that day. The irritation was seen on Remus' face as well. He paced back and forth around the room and waited anxiously. To calm his nerves, he turned on the radio that sat on top of the living room mantel. The two remained in silence as the listened to the speaker on the radio deliver news.
Another hour passed and Severus became even more suspicious about the so-called prophecy. Just as Severus stood up to go retrieve his daughter, the radio began to attract his attention.
"We were just given word that a home in the Little Hangleton area was under attack. We are made to believe the people behind this attack are former Death Eaters. We are waiting on information about any casualties" the radio voice spoke.
For the first time all day, Severus spent no time thinking. He quickly grabbed his wand and apparated to the location Dumbledore told him his daughter would be.
As his surroundings became visible again, Severus found himself standing outside of a small house on a dead end street. His heart dropped to his stomach and he began to panic as he noticed a multitude of people standing outside of the tiny house, one of the people being Albus Dumbledore. Severus swallowed the lump in his throat and sprinted towards the house, not stopping for anywhere. As he stepped foot inside, he noticed a woman that looked to be in her mid-fifties lying on the floor. This caused him to panic even more. He looked around for any clue of where his daughter might be, eventually choosing to run up the stairs. He ran for the only room in the hallway with a wide open door, quickly wishing he hadn't done that. It took all of his strength to not drop to the floor at the sight of his daughter. If it hadn't been for the small pool of blood forming on her stomach, it looked as if Calliope was peacefully sleeping. He rushed to the bed and began to pull her out from under the quilt. He had no more strength as he dropped to his knees, holding the four year old in his arms. Tears streamed down his eyes as he choked on his breath, not knowing what to do. He looked up as he saw Albus walking into the room.
"Y-YOU LIED" Severus yelled at the headmaster "I TRUSTED YOUR PROMISES TWICE A-AND YOU HAVE NOT KEPT ONE" tears still flowing down his now scalding hot cheeks.
He rocked back and forth as he looked at his daughter who's breaths barely existed.
He had only known the child for three years, and yet she had become the only important thing in his life. Severus pulled out his wand as he declared to himself that he would not lose young Calliope without trying everything he had to save her. He examined where she was wounded and pointed his wand to the laceration on her abdomen.
"Vulnera Sanentur" He whispered with a shaky voice "Vulnera Sanentur"
He repeated the incantation over and over as he held onto Calliope's almost lifeless body. The tears still streaming from his eyes almost blinded him enough to where he did not realize that Calliope's breathing started to become stronger and stronger.
"Severus..." Remus, who was now standing in the room as well, spoke "don't stop. I think it's working."
"Vulnera Sanentur. Vulnera Sanentur. Vulnera Sanentur..." Severus repeated over and over.
Several minutes went by and Severus slowly stopped whispering the incantation. He stared as the open wounds slowly disappeared from Calliope's body. He small smile of relief quickly flashed onto Severus' face as he felt her heartbeat speed up and watched her skin return to a normal color.
His breath hitched once more as he pulled the young girl into his chest and rocked back and forth whispering to himself "Thank you. Thank you..."

A part 2 to the snape daughter selling potions; free basically (planning with George) say they'll tell her dad about her secret business if she doesn't go to the yule ball with Fred. she grudgingly agrees, (she's friendly with him, a very younger teasing sibling vibe) and her dad basically freaks out in the calm snape way. she just replies with 'you wouldn't get it, it's young people stuff' and leaves her dad wondering if he was like that
Potions & Promises - Fred x Snape's Daughter
Tumblr media
Can I get a dreamless sleep potion? I've been having really strange dreams that the gnomes that I had de-gnomed from his garden last week had been chasing me with tiny little pitchforks." Ron explained his dream with sheepishly. Those dreams were so strange that he almost didn't want to help Hagrid in slight fear that the gnomes would actually make an army and decide to attack him.
She couldn't help but to give him a questioning look as her brain pictured his dream. "Um, surr. Here you go Weasly." She handed him the potion vile as he handed her the money and he quickly jogged away, but as everyone knew where there was a Weasly, there were always more close by.
"Hey, Ms. Snape." He teased as she rolled her eyes. "Do you need something or are you going to stand next to me all day?" She jokingly asked which made George lightly chuckled as his lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"I have a proposition for you." He wrapped his long arm around her shoulders. Her eyes squinted in an annoyed glare.
"I already told you. We will not be in business together. I really don't need you making potions that will accidentally blow someone up." Her eyebrows slightly raised in concern as she thought of the very real possibility or this happening.
"It's not about that. It's something else, and I'm sure you would love it." His excited demenor scared her a little because the twins were known to have very outlandish ideas. "Uh yeah sure." She said with pure sarcasm which failed to catch George's attention as he was way too happy about his idea even if it sounded absolutely ridiculous.
"How would you like to be the lucky girl who goes with Fred to the Yule Ball?" She laughed which took George by surprise. "Do you really think I'm planning on going to the ball? I'm busy and besides I don't want to be around so many people it'll be suffocating." She huffed.
"Aw c'mon. It'll be good for you, and Fred hasn't asked anyone yet. You don't have to kiss him or anything. Just go, even if it's just a friendly favor." She thought about it do a moment. It's not like she didn't like Fred, infact she had been harboring feelings for him since her 3rd year. "Ballrooms aren't really my scene." She said with hesitancy. "That's fine, then I'll just tell your dad that you're breaking school rules and having a side potions business." George stated in a matter-of-fact tone. Her eyes held nothing but panic. "You wouldn't." She warned. "How do you know that I wouldn't?" His teasing tone was enough to sway her, even if she called it a bluff. She really didn't know if he would really say anything to her father, but she did know how hard it was for him to keep a secret.
She lifter her hands up in surrender. "Fine. Fine. I'll go, but I'm doing this as a favor." "Uh-huh." George teased not believing her. He may joke a lot, but he was observant. A pink blush dusted her cheeks, but George managed to not see.
George smiled as he held out his hand for her to shake. "I did say this was a proposition, so you have to make if official." She laughed at his business-like gesture and shook his hand.
George quickly ran up to the dorms as quickly as possible to tell Fred the news. "Looks like you're not going to the Yule Ball completely alone Freddie." George looked up from his book. "What do you mean Georgie? Has someone asked me? He looked up at his twin with a puzzled yet amused expression as he began to sit upright I'm his seat.
"I may have noticed you taking a liking to none other than professor Snape's daughter, so I may have pulled some strings with her and she has agreed to go with you. She said as a favor, but I can tell she like you too." His tone was teasing and his face held a cool expression as he casually stated that Fred's longtime crush has agreed to go to the ball with him.
"Well, if she agreed, then that's excellent, but I feel like I should talk to her myself don't you think? Fred stated in a hurry as he quickly put his jacket on. "Fred, wait. Here. I got these before I came here to tell you." He handed some really pretty purple flowers. "She loves purple." Fred said with a smile. He took the flowers and quickly exited the room and walked down the halls of the stone walled castle with a suffer sense of confidence as he went looking for her. His quest to find her came to an end as he saw her in the courtyard talking to some students. It looked like she was about to leave for class, so he picked up his pace to go meet with her. "Hey Fred. She greeted him smiling. "Hello." He replied back. "Have you heard that I'm your date to the ball?" She smirked as she teased him and watched his face go from elated to slightly panicked as his face began to match the color of his hair.
"I have heard, but I thought that I should ask you formally myself. It's the principle of the y'know. Can't have a lady thinking that I'm lacking in manners. He tried to sound like his usual confident self, but the feeling of his heart was about to beat out of his chest as he felt the anxiety fill his veins.
She looked up at him and nodded. "Alright then, go ahead." She smiled in amusement. He nodded and jokingly cleared his throat. "Will you please do me the great honor of being my date to the Yule Ball? He quickly put his hand out carrying the lilac flowers. Her eyes lit up when she saw the flowers as Fred handed them to her. "Yes, I will go to the Yule Ball with you." She replied. "In all seriousness, I promise it won't be as bad as you think. I know you weren't planning to go, but I'll try to make it as painless as possible."
"You promise?"
"I promise." He put his hand on his heart for emphasis.
"Pinky swear?" Fred looked at her in confusion. "Pinky swear? What is that?"
She held her Pinky out and grabbed his hand. His heart rate picked up again as he tried to hide his forever crush on his friend.
"You're supposed to wrap your pinky around mine to make it official. It's a muggle thing. I thought Harry or Hermione would have taught you this by now." She said with laugh.
"I also promise that ai will tey to have fun and will he the prettiest that I have ever looked considering you see me in my Hogwarts uniform 80% of the time. He smiled kindly at her as he examined her hand as they let go of their pinkies and kissed the back of her hand. As he let go, he said the words that changed how she felt about him almost instantly. "Darling, if you looked any prettier you would be mistaken for an angel.' She felt that this was the moment. The moment that she'll remember for a lifetime. The moment that she fell in love with a Weasly, but of course it wasn't in her nature to say such a thing out loud. Instead, a sly grin made its way across her face. "I didn't know you had such feelings for me." She teased. "How long have you felt this way? Maybe since my first year here huh? Did you see a white light cascading around me when I entered the great hall for the first time letting you know that you fell hopelessly in love with me." She clasped her hands together near her heart to add to the dramatics. "Please don't make me regret asking you to the ball." He groaned as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"Oh, c'mon Fred! You know you're just dying to kiss me." She teased again again a smile. Her smile soon faded as she was meeting the eyes of a familiar gaze. "What was that?" The voice of her father rang out in an irritated tone.
"Nothing, dad. You know..it's just stupid teenage stuff. You wouldn't understand." She did as she waved him off and she briskly began walking away.
"Weasly." He called out. "Yes, Professor. Fred answered, almost stuttering on each syllable. "I'm watching you." Is all he said and walked away. Snape stopped at a nearby corridor as he stood with a small grin thinking back to when he began to have those feelings about a girl.

The air in the Hogwarts greenhouse was thick with the scent of soil and herbs as Y/N moved gently through the rows of plants. She had always found comfort here, among the vibrant greenery and the soft hum of magical growth. Herbology was her sanctuary, and each day she poured her heart into tending to the rare plants and teaching her students how to care for them with the same tenderness.
It was peaceful, or at least, it had been until recently.
As of late, her tranquility had been invaded by a certain new presence at the school—Gilderoy Lockhart, the newly appointed Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. His arrival had caused quite the stir, especially among the female students and even some of the staff, but for Y/N, his constant attention was becoming more than a little uncomfortable.
At first, she had thought it was just harmless friendliness. Lockhart had swept into her greenhouse on the first week of term, his toothy smile gleaming as brightly as the medals on his robes.
"My dear Professor Y/N!" he had exclaimed, clasping his hands together in a gesture that was all too theatrical. "I must say, you have the most enchanting little space here! It’s no wonder the students speak so highly of you."
Y/N had blushed, embarrassed by the attention, and murmured something about the plants deserving the praise, not her. Lockhart, however, had waved away her modesty with a laugh that echoed too loudly in the intimate confines of the greenhouse.
"Nonsense, nonsense! I can see that you put as much care into your work as I do into my own," he said, leaning in just a little too close. "You and I, we have much in common, I think."
She had smiled politely, trying not to shrink under his overly familiar presence. She wasn’t used to people being so forward with her. It wasn’t that she was oblivious—Y/N had noticed Lockhart’s flirtations—but she simply didn’t know how to respond. Confrontation wasn’t in her nature, and she didn’t want to create awkwardness among the staff. So, she had smiled, and tried to extricate herself from his attention as gracefully as she could.
But it didn’t stop there.
Lockhart’s visits to the greenhouse became more frequent. He would find reasons to come by during her lessons, interrupting her with flamboyant anecdotes about his supposed adventures. The students would giggle or roll their eyes, but Y/N found herself growing more and more uneasy. His compliments had become more pointed, more personal, always accompanied by a lingering touch on her arm or a too-familiar smile.
"Professor Y/N," Lockhart had said one afternoon, as he appeared at her greenhouse once more, his robes billowing dramatically behind him. "I was just telling the Headmaster how much we make the perfect team, you and I. Perhaps we should write a book together! Herbs and Heroics, don’t you think? It would sell like that." He snapped his fingers, leaning toward her again.
Y/N’s discomfort had risen, her hands twisting nervously around a sprig of dittany. "I—I’m really not a writer, Professor Lockhart. I don’t think—"
"Nonsense!" he interrupted, his tone dripping with charm. "With your knowledge of plants and my experience, we’d make quite the pair. Don’t you think?"
His hand brushed her shoulder as he spoke, and Y/N stiffened slightly. She gave a weak smile, hoping he’d take the hint, but once again, she found herself trapped by her own politeness. She didn’t want to upset him, didn’t want to cause a scene, but Merlin, how she wished he would leave her alone.
Across the castle, in the dimly lit Potions classroom, Severus Snape stood over a cauldron, stirring the mixture with precise movements, though his mind was far from the task at hand.
For weeks now, he had been watching. Watching as Lockhart fawned over Y/N, as he invaded her personal space with that nauseating smile and those absurd stories. It was infuriating. Severus had always been protective of Y/N—more than he would ever admit. They had worked together for years now, and though their relationship had never ventured beyond professional, he had long harbored feelings for her that he kept buried deep inside.
He had always told himself that Y/N deserved better than him, better than someone as broken and cold as he was. She was kind, too kind for the likes of him. So, he had never acted on his feelings, content to watch from the sidelines, to enjoy the small moments when they shared quiet conversations about rare herbs or discussed the latest potions ingredients she had gathered for him.
But now, with Lockhart constantly hovering around her, Severus found his resolve crumbling.
At first, he had tried to ignore it. Lockhart was a buffoon, and surely Y/N would see through his ridiculous posturing soon enough. But day after day, Severus watched as Lockhart showered her with attention, and worst of all, Y/N didn’t reject him. She didn’t push him away. She didn’t seem to be upset by his advances.
And that was what hurt the most.
Perhaps, Severus thought bitterly, she liked Lockhart’s attention. Perhaps she enjoyed the compliments, the flirtation. Why wouldn’t she? Lockhart was everything Severus wasn’t—charming, outgoing, and confident. And while Severus could see through the man’s facade, perhaps Y/N couldn’t.
Perhaps she was falling for him.
The thought sent a cold wave of pain through Severus, and he found himself withdrawing from Y/N more and more. It was easier that way. Easier to distance himself before he had to watch her fall into Lockhart’s arms. He started avoiding her, no longer lingering in the staffroom when she entered, no longer stopping by her greenhouse to ask for ingredients. He couldn’t bear it. Couldn’t bear to watch her be swept away by someone so unworthy of her, and yet… someone she seemed to be accepting.
Y/N had noticed the change almost immediately.
Severus was avoiding her.
For weeks now, he had been cold, distant, and she couldn’t understand why. She had always admired Severus, despite his stern demeanor and cutting remarks. There was something about him that intrigued her, something deeper, and over the years, she had come to value the rare moments when he let his guard down, even if just for a second.
But now, it was as if he had built a wall between them. She couldn’t even catch his eye in the hallways, and whenever she tried to speak to him, he dismissed her with a curt nod or a sharp word. It hurt more than she cared to admit. She missed him, missed their quiet conversations and the way he would surprise her with his vast knowledge of plants and potions.
At first, she thought she had done something to upset him, but no matter how many times she went over their last conversations, she couldn’t find anything wrong. It wasn’t until she saw the way Severus’s eyes flickered with something close to anger when he caught her speaking with Lockhart that she began to piece it together.
Could it be… jealousy?
The thought was almost too much to believe. Severus, jealous of Lockhart? The idea seemed absurd, and yet, the more she thought about it, the more sense it made. She had seen the way his expression darkened when Lockhart was near, the way his jaw clenched whenever the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor tried to engage her in conversation.
But if Severus was upset, he wasn’t going to tell her. He was too stubborn for that.
So, after weeks of being brushed aside, Y/N decided she needed to confront him. She couldn’t take the cold distance anymore, and if he was angry with her, she needed to know why.
One evening, after a particularly long day in the greenhouse, Y/N made her way down to the dungeons. She had seen Severus slip out of the Great Hall after dinner, his usual shadowy presence retreating into the depths of the castle. She followed him, her heart pounding in her chest with nerves, but she was determined to get answers.
She found him in his office, sitting behind his desk, a quill in hand as he scrawled something into a large, leather-bound book. He didn’t look up when she knocked softly on the doorframe.
"Severus," she said quietly, stepping into the room.
He didn’t respond at first, his eyes remaining fixed on the parchment before him.
"Severus," she repeated, a little more firmly.
With a sigh of irritation, he finally glanced up, his dark eyes cold and unreadable. "What do you want, Y/N?"
Y/N hesitated, her fingers twisting nervously together. "I… I need to know why you’ve been avoiding me."
Severus’s expression didn’t change. He set his quill down, leaning back in his chair with a look of cool indifference. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Yes, you do," Y/N pressed, stepping closer to his desk. "You’ve been avoiding me for weeks now, and I don’t understand why. Did I do something to upset you?"
He let out a harsh laugh, though there was no humor in it. "Upset me? No, Y/N, you didn’t upset me. I simply have no interest in wasting my time with someone like you."
The words hit her like a physical blow, and she took a step back, her eyes widening in hurt and confusion. "Someone like me? What does that mean?"
Severus’s gaze was sharp, his voice colder than she had ever heard it. "You know exactly what it means. I’ve seen the way you prance around with Lockhart, letting him fawn over you like some lovesick puppy. Clearly, you enjoy the attention."
Y/N’s heart clenched painfully in her chest. "I—Severus, it’s not like that. I don’t—"
But he cut her off, his words laced with bitterness. "Don’t insult my intelligence, Y/N. I’ve seen how you let him flirt with you, how you blush and smile like a schoolgirl..I don’t have time for someone like you. If you enjoy Lockhart’s company so much, then by all means, continue. But don’t expect me to waste my time on someone who can’t even see past his ridiculous charm."
Y/N felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes, the weight of his cruel words crushing her. She had never seen Severus like this, so angry, so hurt. She opened her mouth to speak, to defend herself, but the words wouldn’t come. All she could do was stand there, frozen in place, as Severus’s cold gaze bore into her.
When she finally found her voice, it was barely a whisper. "I never wanted his attention, Severus. I’ve only ever—"
"Enough," Severus snapped, standing abruptly and turning away from her. "I don’t want to hear it. If you wish to continue entertaining that fool, that’s your business. But I will not be part of it."
With that, he stormed out of the room, leaving Y/N standing there, her heart shattered and tears spilling down her cheeks. She had come for answers, but all she had found was pain.
The following days were a blur for Y/N. She avoided the staffroom, avoided Severus, and kept to herself in the greenhouse. She couldn’t stop replaying their conversation in her head, his harsh words echoing painfully in her mind. I simply have no interest in wasting my time with someone like you.
She hadn’t known it was possible to feel this hurt, this rejected. For the first time, she found herself dreading the start of each day, dreading the possibility of seeing Severus in the halls. The spark of happiness that usually came with her work had dimmed, replaced by a hollow sadness that seemed to follow her everywhere she went.
Even her students noticed the change in her demeanor, though they were too polite to mention it. She tried to hide her feelings, tried to put on a brave face, but it was difficult. Every time she passed Severus in the corridors, her heart ached with the memory of his words, and every time Lockhart made his usual visits to the greenhouse, she felt a wave of nausea rise in her throat.
It didn’t take long for Minerva McGonagall to notice.
One afternoon, as Y/N was tending to a bed of mandrakes, Minerva appeared at the door of the greenhouse, her sharp eyes studying Y/N with a knowing look.
"Y/N," she said softly, stepping into the room. "May I have a word?"
Y/N looked up, startled, and quickly wiped her hands on her apron. "Of course, Minerva."
Minerva approached her, her expression softening as she saw the sadness in Y/N’s eyes. "You’ve been rather quiet lately, my dear. Is everything all right?"
Y/N forced a smile, though it didn’t reach her eyes. "I’m fine, just… busy."
Minerva didn’t seem convinced. She took a seat on one of the nearby benches, folding her hands in her lap as she spoke. "You’ve been avoiding the staffroom, and I can’t help but notice that you haven’t been your usual self. Is there something going on? Does it have to do with Severus?"
The mention of his name sent a sharp pang through Y/N’s chest, and she looked away, her hands trembling slightly as she fussed with the dirt on her fingertips.
"I… I don’t know," she admitted quietly. "I thought we were friends, but lately… I think I’ve upset him. He won’t talk to me anymore."
Minerva’s brow furrowed, concern flashing across her features. "I see. Severus can be… difficult, at times. But I know he holds you in high regard. It’s unlike him to act this way without reason."
Y/N let out a soft sigh, her voice tinged with sadness. "I don’t know what I did wrong. He said I was wasting his time, that he didn’t want to deal with me anymore. And now… now he won’t even look at me."
Minerva’s eyes softened, and she reached out to place a comforting hand on Y/N’s arm. "I don’t believe that’s true, my dear. Severus may not always show it, but he cares deeply for the people in his life. Whatever has caused this rift between you, I don’t believe it’s something you’ve done."
Y/N shook her head, her throat tightening with the weight of her emotions. "But he’s so angry with me. He thinks… he thinks I like Lockhart."
At the mention of Lockhart’s name, Minerva’s expression shifted into something closer to exasperation. "Lockhart? Merlin, that man has been more of a nuisance than I expected. But Severus should know better than to assume that you have any interest in him. He’s clearly projecting his own insecurities onto you."
Y/N blinked, surprised by Minerva’s words. "You think… you think Severus is jealous?"
Minerva smiled faintly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "I do, Y/N. It’s quite obvious to those of us who know him well. Severus may not be the most forthcoming when it comes to his feelings, but it’s clear that he has feelings for you. He’s just too proud—and too afraid—to admit it."
Y/N’s heart skipped a beat at Minerva’s words. Could it be true? Could Severus’s coldness and bitterness be a result of jealousy?
Minerva gave her a knowing look, standing up from the bench. "I suggest you talk to him, Y/N. Really talk to him. He may not make it easy, but I think you’ll find that he cares more than he lets on."
Severus paced his chambers, his mind a storm of conflicting emotions. He had hurt her—he knew that much. The look in her eyes when he had spoken those cruel words haunted him, and yet, he couldn’t stop the bitterness that had fueled his anger.
It was easier this way, he told himself. Easier to push her away before she had the chance to reject him. Easier to convince himself that she wanted someone else—someone like Lockhart—than to face the truth of his own feelings.
But the truth was becoming harder and harder to ignore.
There was a knock at the door, and Severus’s heart leapt into his throat when he saw Y/N standing there, her eyes red-rimmed but determined.
"Severus," she said, her voice soft but steady. "We need to talk."
He turned away from her, trying to compose himself, but the sight of her standing there, vulnerable and hurt, made his resolve crumble.
"Y/N, I—" He paused, his throat tightening with guilt. "I’m sorry."
She stepped inside, closing the door behind her. "I don’t understand, Severus. Why are you pushing me away? Why are you so angry with me?"
Severus closed his eyes, exhaling slowly. He couldn’t keep lying to her—not anymore.
"I’m not angry with you," he said finally, his voice low. "I’m angry with myself."
Y/N frowned, stepping closer. "What does that mean?"
Severus hesitated, his fingers curling into fists at his sides. He hated this—hated being vulnerable, hated exposing the raw, aching feelings that he had spent so long trying to bury. But he owed her the truth.
"I saw the way Lockhart was… pursuing you," Severus began, his voice tight. "And I thought… I thought you were enjoying it. That you wanted his attention. It hurt, Y/N. It hurt to think that you could fall for someone like him when…" He trailed off, unable to finish the sentence.
Y/N’s eyes softened with understanding. "When what, Severus?"
He met her gaze, his dark eyes filled with something raw and unspoken. "When I’ve been in love with you for years."
The words hung in the air between them, heavy and vulnerable. Y/N’s breath caught in her throat, her heart pounding in her chest.
"I never wanted his attention, Severus," she said softly, her voice trembling. "I never wanted anyone’s attention but yours."
Severus stared at her, stunned by her words. For a moment, he couldn’t speak, couldn’t move. And then, slowly, he closed the distance between them, his hand trembling slightly as he reached out to cup her cheek.
"I’m sorry," he whispered again, his voice thick with emotion. "I’m sorry for pushing you away. I’m sorry for hurting you."
Y/N smiled through her tears, leaning into his touch. "I forgive you, Severus."
And for the first time in what felt like forever, Severus allowed himself to hope.

Severus Snape daughter headcanons
Slytherin all the way.
There was a debate with the sorting hat between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but the hat landed on Slytherin
Severus taught her German and Russian
Has a pet cat
Was taught how to brew potions as a child
Skilled in occlumency and legilimens
Severus would've definitely taught her some fight moves he learned from Tobias to defend herself along with defense spells to protect herself if necessary (one of the rare good things Tobias did for Severus)
I feel his daughter would have a photographic memory
If his daughter was born before the war, then she would've met Regulus as a baby but didn't know a lot about him other than what Narcissa, Lucius, and her father told her (all good things)
Growing up, Severus didn't tell her a lot of his past, but every time she was in the Malfoy's care or Charity and Aurora's care, they would tell her all the embarrassing school stories of Severus (Severus would neither confirm or deny the stories) but they leave out the marauders of their stories (she knows about them, they always let it slip during their stories)
Educated in both the wizarding and muggle world
She definitely inherited the famous Severus glare and sharp tongue
Middle is Eileen, and Severus talks about his mother sometimes but not much
She would definitely be a bookworm
Similar to Severus, she would have an interest in potions and DADA
She and Draco would have definitely seen each other as siblings from their parents
I feel like she would be respectful and nice to house elves and would hate the abuse they face (she scolds her uncle Lucius about hurting Dobby every time she sees it)
Her and Hermione would have a school rivalry since they are both the smartest girls in their houses. But they respect each other and their intellect
If wolfstar had a child or children, then you can count on some bad blood between them (who knows... maybe an enemies to lovers)
Severus and McGonagall taught her how to dance (quite fabulously, if I may add 👌💃)
Sees Minerva as a grandmother figure (you can't tell me that McGonagall wouldn't lover her as her own)
If she had an Animagus form, it would be a cat or Raven
Her Patronus would be a bat or a cat
Has respect for the Weasley twins but will not hesitate to turn their pranks against them if it's aimed at her father, Draco, or herself
Likes Molly and Arthur but has notes on their parenting
She and Ron like playing wizard chess with each other (she beats him every time, and Ron always wants a rematch)
I feel like she would be a bit relatable to Stiles Stilinski (has ADHD, OCD, A LOT of sarcasm, and is stubborn. Wonder where she gets that from) "I mean no. Do you want to hear it in German? Nein". "I'm 140 pounds of pale skin and fragile bone, ok? Sarcasm and magic are my ONLY defense."
I feel like a lot of people would be afraid of her because she is Severus's daughter
She and Luna, I feel would get along because of her creative mind and unique way of seeing the world (she would also scare off Luna's bullies)
She makes her own spells, potions, and magical objects (mad scientist mode)
Not a big fan of quidditch but supports Draco
Brains of the operation
Hates Sirius on sight and is OK Remus.
She will not hesitate to hex or murder Sirius if he continues to insult her family (she is very difficult to restrain)
Feels like Harry's babysitter for always helping him survive on his adventures
She knows Remus when she was young due to his visits to her home to pick up his supply of wolfsbane from her father (so she knows he's a werewolf)
Often scold Draco if his insults go too far.
If her dad was a part of the death eaters and she was told, she would be shocked, upset, and angry but if he told her about the double agent part then she would be more worried for him
All I got so far. Enjoy my lovelies

Sarah Snape is a girl who grew up far from the truth. She knows nothing about her father's past and the only thing she knows about her mother is that she died during childbirth. Overprotected throughout her life, Sarah became a quiet and observant young lady, without many social skills and with quite a temper just like her father, but also very curious and ambitious. She won't rest until she knows the whole truth.
Tumblr media
Severus Snape is the same as we already know, still the bitter and strict Potions Master. But in this story we'll unveil Snape's father side. Snape is a demanding and overprotective father, but also somewhat loving. He will do anything to protect Sarah from his dark past. Snape never feels that Sarah is old enough to know the truth, and fears the day when he will have to tell her everything. He also does everything he can to be the father he never had, even though he has a hard time showing affection.

Their Daughter Part 6
Tenison was high in the dining room of Grimmuald Place as the Black brothers stared one another down. Regulus knew that part of Sirius's anger was because he thought he had lost his child to his brother, much like when they were young, and their parents favored Regulus over him. But this was Sirius's own fault; Ali had tried even after she had been hurt that Sirius went to Harry first. Sirius could not get over the fact that Ali was close with the Malfoys and had taken to projecting his anger to the only person who would love him more than anything if he tried.
Sirius wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was jealous of Regulus. He always had been, but coming back from the hell he had been trapped in to find that his own daughter had chosen his brother over him hurt more than any torture he had ever faced. Regulus had always been the perfect child who everyone adored. He had gotten fewer beatings as a child than Sirius, had gotten better grades in school, and now was considered a dad to Ali. It was only natural for Sirius to go back to what he did during his school years and focus his attention on the people who showed him attention. Harry was his godchild, but Harry also had no one else, meaning Sirius didn't have to worry about being replaced. Sirius also felt awful for the events that transpired the night of James and Lily's deaths and was trying to make up for it.
"If you just gave her a chance, you may find she is much more like you than you think." Regulus sat at the table again, watching his older brother run his hands through his hair. "She is so headstrong and stubborn that I know it revivals yours. And I cannot express enough how she just wants to be good enough for you to love, much like how you tried for years with Mother."
Sirius sighed in defeat, regrettting the painful things he had put his daughter through. "I do love her. I just…."
"Are shit at showing it. I saw the look in your eyes when Ali called me dad; I know that hurt you. But instead of talking about it, you just lash out at her or me or Remus, making it seem like you really don't care at all. I never tried to fill that role in her life. I was and will always be Uncle Reg, and that is fine. Do I see her as my child and love her like my own? Yes, absolutely. I will do anything for her, and if that fills that role as a father, I will. But I don't want to take that from you. You had so much stolen from you in your life, Sirius: your childhood, your parents, your best friend, 12 years of your life. The last thing I want to do is take more away, but I cannot and will not put you above her. She deserves so much in this world, and you should help her get it. We both should. But the question remains: will you put aside your 'every Slytherin is a Death Eater' mindset to do so? Because people have changed and we are close to the Malfoys, Notts, Parkinson's, and the Zabini's. They are not the same people anymore. Things have changed in the war; sides have changed. But you haven't. Ali is loyal to a fault and is a great judge of character; she won't betray the Order, nor will the others. Just give people a chance, Sirius."
"I did give people a chance, and it…..it got my best friend and his wife killed. We trusted Peter. I trusted Peter enough to have James make him the secret Keeper. It got them killed, and he was our friend. How am I supposed to trust that Lucius Malfoy has the Order's best interest at heart when my own friend of 9 years didn't?" Sirius started pacing before his brother. His head is cloudy in memories, tears blurring his eyes as his best friend's dead body flashed in front of him. "I know that I'm shit at showing Ali I love her, and part of it is because I'm scared to get close only to lose her again to someone like Lucius Malfoy. I owe it to James to look after Harry, but that doesn't mean I don't love him like my own because I do. But I love Ali just as much, and I know she has you, Remus, and even Snivillious to love her. And I want to try to improve things with her; I just don't know how. How do I fix what I've done, Regulus?"
Regulus caught the double meaning to his brother's question, "You can't. Sirius, you can't fix what happened to James and Lily. You can't fix how you've treated Ali so far."
Sirius felt his heart crack at his brother's words. He had hoped to get Ali back, but it seemed he had gone too far. He started for the stairs when Regulus continued.
"But that doesn't mean you can't fix it from now on. You can't change the past and bring James back, but you can make them proud by loving and protecting Ali and Harry. I mean, yeah, they don't get along now, but I think part of that is because he has seen and heard how you and James treated outsiders. I know they used to play together as babies, not that they would remember it, but Remus told me. Tell how close they were till everything happened, and bring them back together. Stop being afraid of losing Ali to someone when all everyone wants to do is love her and keep her safe. And maybe you don't trust Lucius or the others right now, but I trust them more than Dumbledore most of the time. And you should talk to Moody about the help Lucius has given the Order even if he refuses to say he has aligned himself with us." Regulus held his brother's shoulder, "Give them a chance. Don't let the other kids make remarks about Ali and her friends. Talk to her. I wouldn't start trying to act like her father, but maybe a friend? Or a really distant uncle. You'll figure it out, Sirius; you're smarter than you give yourself credit for."
Sirius followed his brother up the stairs, going to bed with hope, lighting a flame in his heart for the first time in years.
Days following the talk between Regulus and Sirius, Ali noticed that the golden trio had become slightly nicer to her. She does not make as many comments about her or her friends. She had no idea what was happening but wasn't going to complain. Regulus had come to her that morning telling her that he thought it a better idea if Blaise came to their house instead of her going over there. He believed it would show that the Slytherins were not as bad as all the others thought.
At first, Ali was hesitant about the idea. Still, after being reassured that Remus would be home as well as Regulus, Ali agreed. The thought of Blaise being at her house surrounded by her tormentors made her sick to her stomach. She wanted nothing more than to run away for a few days, but that ship had sailed, and it was only hours before Blaise arrived when Regulus called for 'those who live in this house meeting.' By the time Ali had gotten dressed and cleaned her room, everyone was already in the kitchen since it seemed to be the usual gathering place for the group. She straightened her sweater and did a quick glance down to make sure her outfit was still okay. It was slightly chilly in the house, so she had gone with a Bulgarian Quidditch sweater that was mainly red with black details and a pair of cropped black leggings with matching fuzzy socks. She and Blaise had already decided to stay for most of the day and then go and get dinner somewhere in Diagon Ally so she could change later. Remus and Regulus walked at the same time as Sirius and Harry.
"I'm assuming everyone is confused about why this meeting was called," Remus started. "There seems to be an assumption that Slyertians and those associated with them are all Death Eaters or traitors."
Scowls had overtaken most of the younger one's faces in the room, as well as Sirius's. Ali looked at her uncle, trying to figure out where this was going. She knew the reason was to inform everyone that Blaise would be here for a few days, but there was something else going on; she could feel it.
"After speaking with Dumbledore and getting his permission, not that I technically need the permission as it is my house, but nevertheless. A few individuals will be coming to stay here for the upcoming days, and there will be a couple of visitors as well." Regulus's eye caught Ali's, and gave her a wink just as the sound of footsteps entered the foyer. Ali was too short to see over everyone's heads to see who was there, but from the looks on a couple faces, including the elder Weasley, it was someone they were not fond of.
A flash of white hair caught Ali's eye as the group entered the kitchen. Her mouth dropped in shock as she took in her uncle Severus, leading the Malfoys, Blaise, and Theo towards Regulus and Remus. Cissa shot her a wink while Draco eyed Harry and Sirius up and down; Blaise kept his eyes locked on Ali, and Theo thoroughly enjoyed the shocked looks from the Weasleys.
"Sorry, we're late. Draco took too long in the mirror this morning," Severus said. Draco glared at his Godfather before continuing on with his glare at Potter.
"Well, allow me to introduce everyone. This is Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, which I'm sure almost all of you know. This is Blaise, Theodore, and Draco. Narcissa and Lucius will be in and out for the next bit trying to get caught up on Order business while the latter three will be staying here for a bit." Remus shook Lucius's hand before joining Dora beside Ali, who was bouncing on her toes, overly excited at the fact that it was going to be back to normal in the next couple of days.
"You can't be serious. They are staying here?" Sirius exclaimed, running his hand down his face before glaring at Lucius. "I still remember what you did, Malfoy."
"I don't often agree with Sirius, but Dumbledore said this was alright?" Arthur asked. Ali knew that the Malfoys hadn't been the kindest to the Weasleys in the past, and she felt sorry for them in that aspect, but Lucius was not the same man as he was during her first year. And Narcissa wouldn't hurt a flea.
Remus stepped forward again, "He did. Narcissa and Lucius will be helping with some scooting missions that are coming up since they know that area of town better and are considering joining the Order. The three brats are mainly for Ali, though."
"Did you miss us short stack?" Theo opened his arms for Ali, who jumped straight into them. Theo gave her a twirl before pulling on her braid. She barely had time to catch her breath before Draco had her spinning again and tickling her sides, making her squeal.
"Of course I missed you! What kind of question is that?!" Ali giggled before hugging Blaise despite her uncle Remus glaring at them. Blaise took her hand and gave it a squeeze when they parted before facing the other children in the room. Theo and Draco took the opposite sides of Ali, showing a united front against the ones who had been horrible towards her.
Ali was ecstatic that they were going to be in the house more. Maybe her summer wouldn't end so badly. Sirius was shocked that Dumbledore had cleared this and even more shocked that Lucius would help the Order. He did not trust him and would go on those missions even if he had to go as Padfoot. This was outrageous and downright stupid, allowing death eaters to snoop freely in the Order business. Looking at his daughter, he could see how happy she was to be surrounded by her friends, but he also knew that he would have to keep a closer eye on her than he already was. He had asked the trio to play nice so he had more people watching her. He did trust that she was a Death Eater, and now he was surrounded by them.
"Al, Kreatcher sat up extra beds in your room for the boys. Pansy should be joining later, but she had something come up with her grandfather. Her mother said she would owl when she was on her way." Regulus leveled each of the boys with a look. "You lot know the rules. I don't care if you have fun but clean up after yourselves, and don't be too loud when it gets late. Curfew is at 10pm and no later. If you are leaving the house, go in pairs at least and let one of the adults you know be aware of where you're going. You lot know the food is fair game, and Kretcher has already been instructed to grocery shop more often. The house is also fair game, but be respectful, please."
"Don't worry, Uncle Reg. I'll keep them in line," Draco smirked at the other three before Severus whacked him upside the head.
Ali turned and looked at the younger swarm of redheads and others in the room. She cleared her throat to get the attention on her, which made her take an unconscious step back toward Blaise and Draco. "Everyone, this is Theo, Blaise and Draco. I'm sure most of you know this, but just in case. You are welcome to join our fun, but we get if you don't want to." Ali pulled the boys out of the room after greeting her aunt and uncle. They sat on the living room floor with wizards, chess, and a few other games while a movie played in the background. Kreacher brought out snack trays for them, and the laughter was music to Regulus's ears after all the quiet he'd heard from Ali this summer.
Ali could feel the stares from those around them, most directed at Draco and her. She could see the disbelief every time Draco laughed or made a joke. This was the side of Draco that was rarely seen by others. An hour had passed before a chess match went on between Draco and Ali. Blaise sat to one side of Ali, and Theo was in the middle of her and Draco, watching the death match continue.
"What dare shall I have you do this time, Als" Draco taunted her while he moved his piece. It was an ongoing rule that when she and Draco played wizarding chess, the loser had to do a dare of the winner's choice. It was always a toss-up in who won, as both were incredibly good at the game.
"Don't think too hard; I wouldn't want to overwork that one brain cell of yours." Ali stuck her tongue out at Draco when she stole his knight.
Draco was about to reply when a shadow came over the top of the board. Looking up, there was the eldest two Weasley children and Fleur. Ali could see the hearts in Theo's eyes before she kicked him in the shin. "She's engaged, you idiot."
Bill and Charlie chuckled, "We saw you guys playing games and were curious if we could join you? I have my board and thought we could do a little tournament."
Charlie held up his chess board. The teens all nodded, and with a snap of his fingers, Charlie's board was all set up. Bill took one side of the board before looking at Theo. "You up for a challenge?"
Theo crawled to the opposite side of the small table. Bill made the first move, and the game commenced. Charlie and Fleur took seats around the rest of them and started trash-talking with them, too. Charlie was on Ali's side, whereas Fleur took Dracos. Regulus, Molly, and Narcissa looked around the corner and had smiles spread across their faces at the sight they saw. It wasn't the younger kids trying to get along with the others, but the eldest and Molly knew that her children all looked up to their brothers, so maybe there was hope in this crazy plan after all.

“You make me feel like I am young again…”
“Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am whole again!” (“Love Song” by The Cure)
And she did it again! My 10 (almost 11) years old daughter Henriette drew another picture of Severus and me as students. I think, she makes good progress with her artwork.
Henriette told me, that she wanted to make me happy, even though I’m having an extremely hard time with my disease ME/CFS at the moment. And what is it, that never fails to make me smile? Yep, feeling young again with teenage Sevy by my side!
I promised my daughter to post her picture on my blog, in order to gift you all a smile, too! So, enjoy this little masterpiece from Henriette!

𝕴 𝖒𝖊𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 Rose and Grace in the Charms classroom exactly when I said I was going to. We worked on disarming a bit more. By the end of the lesson, they had both disarmed me and I was quite proud of them.
With our extra ten minutes, we worked on some other second-year spells and then called it quits since it was getting close to their curfew. With my two hours of curfew left, I visited Professor Snape's office.
He was grading tests in a bad temper and his expression didn't soften as I came in.
"What's wrong?" I asked as he threw another test onto the chair next to him.
"You haven't come to see me in three days." He said.
I pursed my lips to keep from smiling. "Sorry." I said, putting my arms across his shoulders and put my head on the top of his head, looking at the tests from behind. "Do you feel better now?"
"No." He said, sounding disgruntled. "I think-" He threw the rest of the tests onto the desk, "-you should come around front and sit on my lap."
I giggled and did just as he asked and pressed my lips to his. "You realize I'm a bit big for this?" I pointed out.
"No." He said stubbornly, kissing me. "You're only- to big- for sitting on- your dad's lap- not mine." He said between kisses.
I giggled again, kissing his cheek. "I suppose you're-" he cut off my words and then I managed to say "-right about that."
"Your hand looks better." He said when I finally stood up. I looked down at it. The scabs had healed so that they looked more like thin red scratches than scabbed over words.
"It doesn't look as extreme now." I said happily. "Oh," I said, less happily. "Professor Umbridge questioned me. But I didn't drink the tea so I never took the truth serum."
"Yes." he said stiffly, standing up. "She asked me for it and I couldn't refuse it."
"Could've given her a fake bottle." I pointed out.
"That's true, I'll do that next time." Severus said, moving a stack of papers off the desk. "Guess you should make my decisions for me."
"Sorry." I muttered, thinking he was mad. "I wasn't trying to-"
"I know." He interrupted, putting both hands on either side of my face, squishing my cheeks together. I stared up at him, pouting. "Stop pouting damnit." I didn't stop and he groaned. "You make my life so difficult Elizabeth."
"Life's difficult." I said simply and he glared at me, dropping his hands.
"So what are you going to do tonight?" He asked casually, turning his back to me. I looked at him. His black hair was swept perfectly so that I couldn't see his face when I answered.
"What do you want?" I asked softly.
He ran a hand through his hair. "I don't know. I mean, I want you, obviously, but it's getting dangerous."
Then, I cocked my head and smiled, "You know what? I think I just got a great idea."
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
"𝕿𝖍𝖎𝖘." 𝕾𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖚𝖘 𝖌𝖗𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉, "Is the stupidest idea you've ever had."
I glared at him, closing Hagrid's cabin door behind him and going over and making sure the windows were sealed and locked and the curtains were placed over them. "Just don't turn on the lights." I said.
"Ouch!" Severus said as I heard him crash into something. "Bloody brilliant advice Elizabeth."
"Umbridge, Harry, Ron, and Hermione will come running." I said, reaching out and taking his hand and pulling him over to where Hagrid's large bed was. "Besides, no one is going to think to find us here."
"Still." Severus said, settling onto the bed next to me.
"Sev, just shut up and kiss me." I said, pressing my lips to his throat and felt his pulse quicken and heard his breathing stop for a second.
"Elizabeth. . ." He moaned. "You're not. . . we're not. . ."
I blushed and pulled away. "No, of course not! We're not married."
He pulled me back down to kiss me. "Just wanted to make sure so I didn't overstep my boundaries."
I laughed softly, curling into his side. "Hey Sev?"
"Yeah?" He asked, running his fingers up and down my arm.
"I love you."
It hung there in the air for a second. The last time I'd said I'd loved him was December of last year, nearly ten months ago. We hadn't even been dating yet. It had kind of slipped out of my mouth.
My heart thudded in my chest, waiting to see if he was going to say anything and I squeezed my eyes shut tightly. Maybe if I fell asleep then in the morning I could just assume that he'd said it back.
But he had changed his demeanor suddenly. His tongue traced my lips and then he kissed me and it was very, very different. A French kiss- something we'd never down before. I could feel his tongue in my mouth, something I actually found rather attractive now that I'd actually done it. I had originally thought it might be repulsive. Now, I hoped we did it every time. My heart beat faster. I also felt very disoriented as he ran his tongue down to my throat and bit me.
"Oh!" I gasped. It wasn't a hard bite- in fact, it was very gentle and my cheeks grew red, knowing what was happening. But I didn't shy away. "Sev!" I gasped in shock.
"I think." He said lightly, running his tongue on my bottom lip. "I forgot to mention that I love you too."
"Something-" I gasped, trying to breathe, "something like that. . ."
He chuckled and rolled back onto his side of the bed, pulling me into him. I laid my head down on his chest.
"You're adorable you know." he murmured sleepily. "I swear I can hear your heart beating."
"Shut up." I muttered, pressing my face into his chest. He had such a unique smell like spices and herbs and the night and the forest all rolled into one. He put an arm around my shoulders, holding me there.
It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
𝕴𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖌, he shook my awake.
"Wazitmazer?" I muttered.
"I don't speak whatever language you just spoke." He said, sounding amused. "But we have to go if you want to make it back up to the castle in time. I thought you were holding Quidditch practice today.
I sat up quickly. "Oh, that's right." I said, stretching. I swung my legs over the bed and slipped my shoes on. "We probably shouldn't go up together if Umbridge is looking." I turned into a cat. Then I sprung from the ground up onto his shoulder.
"Show off." He muttered. I batted him with my paw- claws in. He took me off his shoulder and held me in his arms, petting my head. I purred with content and he chuckled as he strode up the grass. He let me down in front of the Hufflepuff common room and then went down the hallway and nodded to me. I quickly checked the other corridor and then turned back into a human and went up to my dorm to get my Firebolt. (I had replaced my Nimbus with a Firebolt this year so that I was equal to Harry).
By ten o'clock, we were all out on the pitch, clutching our brooms and looking wide awake.
"Alright." I said, looking around at everyone. "Herbert, up in front of the goals, we're going to test you first. Zacharias- you first. We're going to act like the other two Chasers are down at the end of the pitch. Heidi, Malcolm, right now, your acting like the opposing team. Let's see how Zacharias does 1 v 2. Then we'll switch between the Chasers. I turned to our beaters. "James your on Zacharias' side, Maxine, opposite. We won't let out the snitch right now."
"Trying to get out of your job?" Zacharias asked.
"Shut up Zacharias." I snapped. Practice hadn't even started yet and I already regretted choosing him as Chaser. "I can't critique you guys if I'm busy looking for the Snitch. We'll do that later. Alright, everyone up."
Everyone flew up and I tossed the Quaffle up to Zacharias. "Alright! Start! I'm letting out the bludgers in two seconds!"
Zacharias started flying down to where Herbert was at. Heidi and Malcolm flew at him from two different directions- working with past Quidditch tactics. I let out the bludgers and James and Maxine swooped on the bludgers. Maxine hit her bludger towards Zacharias who did a good roll maneuver and then dodged Malcolm. Swerving around Heidi, Zacharias threw the Quaffle. Herbert dived for it and stopped it by an inch.
"Alright!" I shouted. "Heidi, you're up. Zacharias-" I ducked a bludger, "-you're on the team with Malcolm now!"
Herbert tossed the Quaffle to Heidi and she zoomed back to the other side of the pitch where Zacharias had started.
"Start!" I shouted, observing the plays. They each took turns. Herbert saved all but one which was good.
"Alright!" I said. "Good job Herbert! Now then," We flew back to the ground so we could talk. The bludgers would stay in the air. With a wave of my wand, the bludgers were zooming back to the ground and I locked them back in the trunk with the help of James.
"Alright so now, I want to give the Chasers a chance to score. Herbert, James, and I are going to be Chasers as well- on another team. Maxine, I want you to act as Keeper for now, alright? Herbert, James, and I aren't trying to score, only trying to get the Quaffle from Heidi, Malcolm, and Zacharias."
"Hey Elizabeth!" I heard someone shouting across the stadium. I looked over briefly and saw Lee, Fred, and George there. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were following. I gave a brief wave and then turned back to the team.
"Everyone understands what we're doing?" I asked, looking at all of them. They all nodded and then I said, "Alright, Maxine, up in the keepers spot. Heidi, Zacharias, Malcolm, I want you guys to start at the opposite end of the pitch, alright?"
I tossed the Quaffle at Heidi who caught it.
"You're okay playing in front of four Gryffindor Quidditch team members?" Zacharias asked incredulously.
I glared at him. "We shouldn't have to stop training because some people showed up. Would you ask the same question if the Slytherins showed up to watch?"
Zacharias shut his mouth and I beckoned to James and Herbert. Maxine was already flying in front of the hoops. I swooped up with the other two and then we did our flying tactics.
By the afternoon, we felt very pleased with our performance. If only I could change Zacharias' behavior.
"Now." I said in the locker room. "I am going to let you guys know that we aren't going to be able to get much practice in. The first match is Slytherin and Gryffindor and they're going to have the pitch booked nearly every night. Saturday afternoons are going to be our go-to times."
"Do you know who's going to win the match?" Zacharias asked.
I pursed my lips, "Why would I spoil it for you guys?"
"I heard the Gryffindor Keeper is rubbish." Zacharias said.
I pursed my lips together tighter. "Well-"
"Hem, hem!"
We all spun around to see Professor Umbridge there. My lips were so thin now they would've made Professor McGonagall proud.
"Can we help you?" I asked.
"I was just wondering what you thought you were doing Miss Kane, still being Quidditch Captain and all." She asked in her sugar sweet voice.
"I didn't realize it was any of your business." I said stiffly.
Professor Umbridge didn't answer right away and she looked at Heidi, Malcolm, and Herbert. "How did you become Quidditch Captain if there are others here that are older than you?"
I squeezed my fist tightly but answered as calmly as possible. "Cedric appointed me, before he went in to do the third task."
"You, instead of one of the more senior students?"
"We're proud to have her as our Captain." Heidi said suddenly. I blushed.
Professor Umbridge looked at her with that stupid smile on her face, "You're proud to have the daughter of a werewolf as your Quidditch Captain?"
"Yes." Malcolm said unexpectedly in his deep voice. He reminded me of Kingsley except he had a larger head of hair. "And we all like Professor Lupin too. Cedric appointed Elizabeth and she's our Captain now."
Professor Umbridge looked quite taken aback. Herbert, James, Maxine, and Zacharias looked from Professor Umbridge to the three of us. She turned to them. "And you guys?"
They all nodded, even Zacharias who I was sure would've said something. Her eyes flashed dangerously and said, "Detention tonight, Miss Kane."
"For what!" Heidi shouted outrageously.
"I've already warned her about her cheek."
Heidi opened her mouth and I stepped on her foot. "Doesn't matter, don't land yourself in detention too." Heidi closed her mouth. Malcolm and Herbert looked just as angry and when she left the locker room, they all turned to me.
"How does she get away with that?" Malcolm asked outrageously. Maxine shook her head and left the locker room. Herbert soon followed. The rest of us left in here were all in Dumbledore's Army.
"It's cause I told her it was none of business." I said, running a hand through my tangled hair. "Whatever, I'll just have my hand sliced open, but don't you guys land yourselves in detention defending me. It's not worth it. I'll see you guys later."
I shouldered my Firebolt and left the locker room. Fred, George, Lee, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were waiting for me some feet away.
"We saw Professor Umbridge leaving the locker room." Fred said. "What did she want?"
"Oh, that's right." I said. "I never told any of you about why she wouldn't put the Hufflepuff team back together."
I explained the whole thing as we headed back to the castle and by the time I was finished with the locker room story, they all looked very murderous except for maybe Ron.
"That's horrible." Hermione said, her eyes flashing. "I'm so glad Professor Sprout managed to get things pushed through for you."
"I'm not." I said glumly. "The next thing you'll know, she'll get put on probation just like Trelawney and it'll be all my fault."
The next two weeks passed wonderfully. I was still working with Rose and Grace on Wednesday and Friday. We had worked on Impediment jinxes and the Reductor Curse. I'd given Rose and Grace much easier (though hard for them) spells to work on.
The meetings had become very erratic but as Harry pointed out to all of us, this meant a pattern couldn't be found.
Hermione had me help her make contact Galleons, using the Protean Charm on them. It was a tricky charm but by the fourth meeting, we had them done.
Hermione explained what the Galleons did as I handed them out to each member. "You see the numerals around the edge of the coins? On real Galleons that's just a serial number referring to the goblin who cast the coin. On these fake coins, though, the numbers will change to reflect the time and date of the next meeting. The coins will grow hot when the date changes, so if you're carrying them in a pocket you'll be able to feel them. We take one each, and when Harry sets the date of the next meeting he'll change the numbers on his coin, and because Elizabeth and I have put a Protean Charm on them, they'll all change to mimic his."
Silence greeted Hermione's words. She looked around as I came back to stand next to her and said nervously, "Well- I thought it was a good idea. I mean, even if Umbridge asked us to turn out our pockets, there's nothing fishy about carrying a Galleon, is there? But. . . well, if you don't want to use them. . ."
"You two can do Protean Charms?" Terry asked.
"Yes." Hermione said. I just shrugged and grinned.
"But that's. . . that's N.E.W.T. standard, that is." Terry said in a weak voice.
"Oh. Oh. . . well. . . yes, I suppose it is. . ." Hermione said, trying not to sound proud of herself. I laughed.
"How come you guys aren't in Ravenclaw?" Terry demanded. "With brains like yours?"
"Well, the Sorting Hat did seriously consider putting me in Ravenclaw during my Sorting. But it decided on Gryffindor in the end." Hermione said brightly.
"The Sorting Hat was going to put my in Gryffindor, and then Slytherin and then Ravenclaw, and then decided on Hufflepuff." I said with a shrug.
"Does that mean we're using them?" Hermione asked.
"I already handed them out." I pointed out. Everyone laughed.
I'd had about five detentions of the past two weeks. Sometimes, my hand would start bleeding during class and by this time, a majority of the teachers and Madam Pomfrey knew what was written on the back of my hand. It was a wonder Dumbledore hadn't called me to his office.
I kept my head up though. I wasn't going to let Umbridge get to me. I wasn't going to let her stop me. I was in Dumbledore's Army. I was the daughter of a werewolf. I was a friend of a centaur. And she was never going to beat me down.

Professor Y/N L/N loved the quiet, the calm of the Hogwarts greenhouse. The smell of damp earth and the soft rustle of leaves were her comfort. It was a sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself in the careful tending of magical plants, and a place where she could allow her thoughts to wander — especially to him.
Severus Snape.
She didn’t quite know when it had happened, or how it had grown so deeply rooted in her heart, but somewhere between the late-night faculty meetings, the shared glances in the staff room, and the way his voice lingered just a bit longer than necessary when addressing her, Y/N had found herself hopelessly in love with him.
It was ridiculous, really. She, the soft-spoken Herbology professor, with her love for nature and her quiet kindness, had fallen for the cold, brooding Potions Master. He was a man of sharp words, dark eyes, and a demeanor so cold it could freeze the very air around him. His silences spoke volumes, and his gaze could pierce you, if you weren’t careful.
Yet despite the distance, despite his icy exterior, she had tried. Tried, again and again, to show him that she was different. That she could be something more. That she cared. But he didn't seem to notice.... Or at least pretended not to....
--
It was a Tuesday morning, and Y/N was working diligently in the greenhouse, tending to the mandrakes. The plants had been quite active lately, and their cries were always a challenge. She hummed softly as she carefully repotted one of the mandrakes, the soft clink of her trowel against the ceramic pot soothing in the otherwise quiet room.
She hadn’t heard him approach.
"Professor L/N," came his voice, low and familiar.
Y/N’s heart stuttered. She straightened quickly, wiping her hands on her apron, trying to hide the flutter of nervousness in her chest.
"Professor Snape," she said, smiling a little too brightly. "I didn’t hear you come in. How can I help you?"
His black robes swished around him as he stepped into the greenhouse, his eyes narrowing slightly as they scanned the plants. His gaze flicked over the mandrakes, the fanged geraniums, the bubotubers. He was a master of his craft, of course, but the world of Herbology wasn’t one he usually paid attention to. Y/N couldn’t help but feel a rush of warmth when he stood so close.
"I’m just inspecting your work," he said, his tone sharp but not unkind. "You’ve been… diligent."
She nodded eagerly, pleased by his praise, though she wasn’t sure if it was meant as one. "I’m always happy to share what I know, Professor Snape. Perhaps I could show you some of the more—"
"No need." His voice was clipped, dismissive. "You are doing fine. Just make sure the plants don’t become too… unruly."
She bit her lip, her smile faltering, but she kept her voice steady. "Of course. I’ll keep an eye on them. Would you like to join me for a cup of tea after your rounds? I’ve been experimenting with a new blend of chamomile and valerian root. It’s quite calming."
The words hung in the air between them like a delicate thread, fragile and vulnerable.
Severus Snape didn’t respond immediately. His eyes flicked over her face, as if searching for something in her expression. His lips were thin, his brow furrowed slightly.
"I do not have time for tea, miss Y/L/N." His tone softened, but it was still cold. "I suggest you spend more time with your plants than offering tea to your colleagues."
She blinked, feeling a pang of hurt pierce her chest, though she quickly masked it with a polite nod. "Of course. I understand. Maybe some other time, then."
He didn’t say anything more. He simply turned and walked away, his black robes sweeping behind him like a shadow.
Y/N stood in the middle of the greenhouse, staring after him, her heart sinking. It had been the same every time.
A week had passed since that encounter in the greenhouse. The morning had been busy with classes, and now Y/N found herself in the staff room, going through some notes and preparing for the afternoon lesson. It was always the same. She would prepare, she would smile, and yet the reactions from Severus were always cold.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened, and Severus stepped into the room. His black eyes flickered over her, but he didn’t speak. He didn’t need to. They both knew why he was here — the weekly staff meeting was starting soon.
Y/N straightened and greeted him with a polite smile, as always. "Good afternoon, Severu. How was your morning?"
He gave her a curt nod. "Uneventful."
The silence stretched between them, thick and uncomfortable. Y/N had tried to fill it once with a conversation about a rare plant she had recently discovered, but he had barely acknowledged it. His eyes were always distant, always elsewhere.
She didn’t know why she kept trying. Why she kept hoping that one day, he might see her. That he might realize that she wasn’t just another colleague, another face in the crowd. She didn’t know why she thought her kindness might be enough to break through the fortress he’d built around himself.
But despite it all, she kept trying.
As the staff meeting started, she sat across from him, her attention on the various discussions about upcoming events, but her thoughts were elsewhere — on him. Always on him. His sharp profile, the way his fingers drummed on the armrest of his chair, the occasional glance in her direction.
She could feel his eyes on her at times, though she couldn’t be sure if it was just her imagination. She didn’t have the courage to look up and meet his gaze, but she always felt the weight of it, a silent pressure.
A few days later, after another failed attempt to make him notice her — a carefully chosen compliment, a smile, a lingering look — Y/N had had enough. She had poured her heart into her attempts, trying to show him that she wasn’t like the others. That she could understand him, if only he would let her. But he wouldn’t.
He wouldn’t let anyone in.
It was a quiet night in the castle, and Y/N found herself walking through the hallways toward her quarters. She had spent the entire day in the greenhouse, putting in extra hours, hoping to take her mind off the frustration of the past few weeks.
The door to her room creaked as she entered, and the warmth of the fire that crackled in the hearth greeted her. She closed the door softly behind her, leaning against it for a moment, her heart heavy.
She had tried. She had been so kind, so patient, so open. But Severus would never look at her the way she had hoped.
Tears stung her eyes, though she didn’t let them fall. She wiped her face quickly, determined not to let the hurt consume her. She wasn’t going to chase someone who couldn’t even acknowledge her efforts.
No more trying.
The next day, Y/N was different. She kept to herself more than usual, focusing entirely on her work, her plants, the students. She had stopped making any attempt to speak with Severus, stopped offering him tea or trying to catch his eye.
And it didn’t take long for Severus to notice.
He wasn’t sure when it started. At first, he thought it was a fleeting thing, just another mood, another oddity in her usual demeanor. But when the days stretched into a week, and he saw her pulling away from him more and more, it began to gnaw at him.
He didn’t understand it.
Why did her absence bother him so much? Why did the sight of her avoiding him, walking past him without so much as a glance, make something in his chest tighten in a way he couldn’t explain?
He found himself watching her from afar, noting the way she no longer lingered in the staff room, no longer made small talk, no longer gave him those tentative smiles. The warmth that had always seemed to radiate from her was gone.
It bothered him more than he cared to admit.
Severus sat alone in his office late one night, the flickering candlelight casting long shadows across the stone walls. His mind was racing, and for once, the calm, measured pace of his thoughts seemed to have been interrupted by something… something unexpected.
Y/N.
Her absence.
Why did it matter? Why did it hurt?
He had spent years perfecting the art of indifference, of never allowing himself to feel anything that could be used against him. And yet, here he was, unable to focus, unable to keep his mind from wandering back to her.
The way her eyes sparkled when she spoke about her plants. The soft way she laughed. The way she cared for things. For him, in ways he couldn’t understand.
It was then, in the quiet solitude of his office, that Severus Snape realized something that terrified him.
He missed her.
And he had no idea how to fix it.
Severus Snape sat in his darkened office, staring into the flickering flames of the hearth, his mind a turbulent sea. The realization that he had been ignoring Y/N’s feelings — that he had pushed her away in his usual cold, dismissive manner — had only just hit him, and the weight of it was suffocating. He had been too absorbed in his own self-imposed isolation, too locked away in his fortress of bitterness and skepticism, to notice what had been so painfully clear to everyone else.
Y/N was gone.
Her warmth had disappeared from the corridors, from the staff room, from the greenhouse. And the coldness in his heart, which he had always managed to keep at bay, now gnawed at him like a hungry animal.
But he didn’t know how to fix it.
The door to his office creaked open, and Severus was momentarily startled from his thoughts. He raised his eyes, expecting to see the usual ghostly figure of one of the students needing a late-night potion or a missing assignment. Instead, it was Minerva McGonagall, her stern features softened by concern.
"Severus," she said, her tone unusually gentle, "I thought I might find you here."
"Minerva," he replied with a slight nod, though his voice was edged with weariness. "I trust there's a reason for this unannounced visit?"
Minerva didn’t immediately respond. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, her movements deliberate, and her gaze sharp as always. She had been his colleague for years, and over that time, she had come to understand him more than most. But there was something different about her today, something perceptive in the way her eyes followed his every movement, as if weighing something heavy.
"I need to speak with you, Severus," she said, her voice quieter now. "And I believe you need to hear me out."
Severus tilted his head, his interest piqued. "I’m listening."
Minerva took a deep breath before sitting down opposite him. Her hands folded neatly in her lap as she began, carefully choosing her words.
"I've noticed the way things have been between you and Y/N lately," she started, her gaze steady but soft. "And I’m sure you’ve noticed, too. She’s been… distant not only to you but to everyone."
Severus stiffened, his chest tightening. "I hadn’t noticed," he replied, though even to his own ears, the words sounded hollow. He had noticed of course. How could he not? The absence of her smile, the quiet that surrounded her every time they crossed paths — it was impossible to ignore. He had simply been too afraid to confront it.
Minerva’s gaze softened with an almost imperceptible sigh. "Of course you noticed, Severus. But I don’t think you understand why she’s been avoiding you."
He frowned, his brows knitting together. "She has her reasons, no doubt. But if it’s something about my behavior, then it’s none of your concern."
Minerva leaned forward slightly, her voice dropping to a quieter, more direct tone. "Maybe not but it is your concern, Severus. Y/N has been avoiding you because she’s finally given up. She cares about you more than you realize — more than you’ve ever given her credit for. She’s been trying to show you that for months."
Severus recoiled slightly, as if struck. "What are you talking about?"
Minerva’s eyes softened, though there was an unmistakable firmness to her words. "Y/N is not the kind of person to wear her heart on her sleeve. But she’s a kind woman, a generous soul, and she’s been trying, in her own quiet way, to get your attention. She’s been patient, thoughtful, and kind, always offering you small gestures — a smile, an invitation, a word of encouragement — things she knew you needed, even if you didn’t ask for them. But you never noticed. You’ve always been so consumed by your own… distance, your own walls, that you failed to see how much she cared for you."
Severus felt something twist inside of him, sharp and painful. He thought of all the times he had dismissed her, all the times he had pushed her away. The little moments, the fleeting glances, the kindness she had shown him without asking for anything in return. The realization hit him like a jolt of electricity — he had been blind. Completely blind.
"She’s given up, Severus," Minerva continued, her voice full of quiet understanding. "She’s stopped trying. And that… that is what you’re feeling now. The absence of something you took for granted. But you need to realize something — it’s not too late. If you want her to stay, if you want her to know how much you care… then you need to show her. You need to show her before she walks away completely."
Her words hung in the air between them, heavy and undeniable. Severus’s mind was whirling, and his stomach churned with regret. He couldn’t let her go. Not like this. Not when he was finally starting to understand the depth of his own feelings.
Minerva stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch surprisingly gentle. "Don’t waste any more time, Severus. I’ve seen the way you look at her when you think no one’s watching. You’re not as good at hiding it as you think. She deserves to know how you feel. If you don’t tell her now, you may never get the chance again."
Severus nodded, his face grim but determined. He had no more excuses. He needed to act.
It was late in the evening when Severus finally made his way to the greenhouse. He had spent hours pacing his office, turning Minerva’s words over in his mind, until he had worked up the courage to do what he should have done weeks ago.
Y/N was there, as always, amidst the plants that seemed to bloom brighter in her presence. She was kneeling beside a potted plant, carefully tending to its roots, her back turned to the door.
For a moment, Severus hesitated. His heart was pounding in his chest, and for the first time in a long while, he felt vulnerable. His pride had kept him distant for so long, but now, standing in front of her, it felt like he had nothing left but the raw truth of his feelings.
"Professor L/N," he said, his voice low but steady.
Y/N’s head snapped up in surprise. She looked at him for a long moment, her face unreadable. "Professor Snape," she replied quietly, her voice just as cold as it had been the past few weeks. "I wasn’t expecting you."
He swallowed hard, forcing himself to step closer, the sound of his boots on the stone floor loud in the silence. "I owe you an apology, Y/N."
Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she stood, brushing her hands on her apron. "You owe me nothing, Professor."
Severus shook his head, the words rushing out before he could stop them. "No. I do owe you something. I’ve been… blind. I’ve ignored you, pushed you away, and I’ve been foolish. I’ve taken your kindness for granted and never once thought to reciprocate it. I never realized how much you… how much you meant to me." He paused, swallowing against the tightness in his throat. "You were trying, weren’t you? Trying to tell me how you felt, trying to show me you cared. And I—"
Y/N’s expression softened, though there was still a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Severus, you don’t have to do this," she said quietly, her voice trembling slightly. "It’s too late."
"No," he said, his voice more insistent now. "It’s not too late. I was a fool, and I’m sorry. I don’t expect forgiveness, but I can’t stand the thought of you walking away because I didn’t see what was right in front of me. Please. I—"
Y/N took a step closer, her eyes searching his face, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, Severus saw something in her eyes that wasn’t guarded. Something warm. Vulnerable.
"You don’t have to apologize," she said, her voice soft but steady. "I didn’t think you’d ever see me like that. I gave up, Severus. I thought you didn’t want me around."
Severus reached out, his hand hovering just in front of her as if afraid to touch her. "I was wrong. I was so wrong."
For a long moment, neither of them spoke. The only sound in the greenhouse was the soft rustling of leaves, the distant hum of magic in the air. Then, with a gentle but firm motion, Severus reached out and took her hand in his. His heart raced, and for the first time, he allowed himself to be vulnerable — to let her see what had been hidden behind the icy walls he had built for so long.
Y/N’s gaze softened, and she squeezed his hand, her lips parting slightly as if to speak, but instead, she just looked at him — with warmth, with understanding.
And for once, Severus didn’t feel alone.

Muzan Kibutsuji x Nezuko Kamado’s Twin-sister! Muggle-born! Slytherin! Reader (feat. Severus Snape)
Angel of Darkness
Tumblr media
Warnings: Mentions of Death, child neglect, Snake bite, venom, Muzan is a bit ooc and spoilers of the end of the Demon Slayer manga.
Soulmate Au
(A/n: Y/n is older than Harry and Draco by a year.)
Y/n Snape or originally called Y/n Kamado. She was Nezuko Kamado’s forgotten twin. Y/n was originally a very nice girl but she was often insulted and ignored by everyone in her home village. Having enough of this treatment. She ran away from home and ended in another dimension. She was adopted in 1984 by Severus Snape at the age of 5 years old. Because of the treatment she endured through her real family; she became resentful of towards them when Severus treated her with love and care. The caring and kind girl became cold, calm, stoic, and sarcastic like her father. She had been taught different potions, spells, wandless magic, and of course later on unsupported flight. Y/n has a resentment towards Harry Potter and the Boy-Who-Lived hates her. However, she hates him for how his father bullied hers when they were their age. Like her father, she was in Slytherin despite being a Muggle-born. She has a lot of friends within her house and she was also friends with Draco Malfoy.
In the year of 1997....
Y/n watches as her father kills Dumbledore Albus Dumbledore. However, she doesn't show it but she knew that he doesn't want to kill the Headmaster and could tell he was hesitant. “Do you think is this going to work?” A male voice asks before the Slytherin girl then looks at him. ‘I am sure.... Muzan...’ she says through their thoughts. Muzan Kibutsuji, was the Demon King and the progenitor of the Demon race. At her 18th birthday, he was her soulmate. After he died at the hands of the Demon Slayers mainly in Tanjiro Kamado’s hands (Y/n’s biological older brother). Muzan’s soul has merge with hers.
Dumbledore fell from the Astronomy towards his death. Harry Potter, the boy Y/n hated so much because of the rivalries between both of their families. The Slytherin girl watches as the Death Eaters including Severus leave. Before he left, her father gave her a look that she could tell before leaving immediately.
The Boy-Who-Lived then goes after the Death Eaters but Y/n on the other hand decides not to follow before looking around in the Astronomy tower. “Y/n....” the former Demon King calls out making the Slytherin girl then looks at him. “You gave me a reason to resent your siblings.” he says as that made Y/n growl at the thought of Tanjiro and Nezuko. “I have no concern towards both of them because of how everyone treated me back in our dimension.” she then says as she can speak to him outloud without anyone disturbing them. “I really don't care about you killing my mother and my other siblings. I believe they deserved it.” she then adds to her lover.
“You’re alright that I killed them?” Muzan asks as the Slytherin girl then gives an evil smile. “Yes, I am. They didn't treated me decently so they deserve it.” she then says. Y/n smirks. “I could see their reactions once they find out. You are my soulmate, Muzan." She says as she starts to smirk at the thought. Muzan then gives an evil smile. The form he is seen in his spirit form was the way he was in the final battle.
The Slytherin girl then decides to leave the Astronomy Tower. She already has her hands on her father's copy of the Advanced Potions making text book. She was surprised that it ended up in the possession of the Boy-Who-Lived, but she was able to get it back so anyone wouldn't get hurt again. She found out that Potter used the Sectumsempra spell her father created against Draco.
Muzan on the other hand, well after, he found out that she is actually Nezuko Kamado’s twin-sister but she looks older than her twin. The way time works on this dimension is different from theirs. He really wants Tanjiro to continue his dream but the boy managed to break free from his control. Y/n pretty much scoff at his attempt to control her brother and told him not to waste his time on her biological family.
The Slytherin girl was currently near the walk ways outside Hogwarts. She sighs. The war begins with Dumbledore dead.
Time skip to 1998 the Battle of Hogwarts...
Y/n was fighting for her school and she wants that Dark Lord. As her father and Draco's parents can't break off the arranged marriage unless if the Dark Lord was killed. Of course, the former Demon King was disgusted with it but they both maintain appearances to avoid suspension. She secretly helps the students under the instructions of her father. She knew that in order for both of them to come out alive was to, well, do bad things to survive. Many thought of her to be loyal to the Dark Lord but no she's loyal to Severus Snape and will always be.
Back to the present, while attacking and dodging attacks of a few Death Eaters. She then Harry giving a look to follow him and his friends. They made their way to the Shrieking Shack. When they made it there, Snape wasn't alone the Dark Lord is there as well.
Y/n listens to their conversation. She's not surprised on why the Elder wand doesn't work on him. Of course, Draco disarmed Dumbledore that night at the Astronomy so it won't work. That had her and Muzan wandering on why he called her father.
Things happened quickly. Voldemort commanded Nagini his snake to attack Severus to which Harry cover Y/n’s mouth to prevent her from screaming. As her tears pour down her cheeks she heard the hissing sound of the Dark Lord's snake as it attacks the poor Potion Master's neck.
“I regret this...” Voldemort mutters before disapperating of course Nagini left. Afterwards she along with the Trio then ran in the shack. The Slytherin girl's eyes widen in horror while Muzan in spirit form looks surprise on what he's seeing. Y/n immediately made her way towards her father before taking out something from the pocket of her robes. “Here, father. Drink this." She says as Severus looks at her before he decides to do so. Y/n help him in drinking the potion.
The Slytherin girl then wraps something around her father's neck. Severus then looks at his daughter as a tear fell from his left eye before he gently places his hand on her head before gently patting it.
Harry then made his way towards their former Potions Professor. The two (mainly three) then look up to see Potter as he knelt down in front of Severus. As Severus looks at Harry, he gestures to his lone tear. “Take it, take it” he pleads. Harry immediately looks at Hermione, Ron, and Y/n. “Quick, give me a flask! Anything!” the boy begs. Hermione hands him a vial.
As Harry takes the offered vial, he hurries up with filling it with Severus’ tear. Once it’s filled, Severus looks at Harry again. “Look at me” he demands rather gently. The boy does as he says as the former Potions Master looks into his green eyes, reminded of Lily Potter. “You have your mother’s eyes” Severus’ tells him. He feels sorrow as he thinks of his former friend.
The Slytherin girl then gives her father a look of sympathy as she has feeling that he's thinking about Potter's mother. Y/n then looks at Harry. “Potter, don't let the lives that were lose tonight in vain...” she tells him to which the Gryffindor teen thought for a moment before he nods his head. He and his friends then left the Shrieking Shack leaving the Slytherin girl (and Muzan) with her father.
“Y/n” Severus calls out in a weak tone. “Ye-Yes Dad?” She says giving her full attention on her beloved father. “Ple-Please take care of yourself...” He says in a weak yet low voice. The Slytherin girl then gives a sorrowful look. She managed to give the anti-vemon to him onto time before it starts to kill him. “T-thank you, Dad..... Thank you for taking me in when my real family and everyone in my home dimension ignore my existence.” she says as she wraps her arms around him. She felt Severus wrap his arms around in his embrace.
Muzan in spirit form was watching the interaction between his soulmate and her father. He really felt bad for Y/n as she was treated as the so-called black sheep in by her biological family. The same family he killed but unknowingly didn't know someone survive of him injecting his blood. Y/n’s twin-sister; Nezuko Kamado. Although, time works differently so the Slytherin girl is older than her living siblings by 3-4 years.
Hours later after the Battle of Hogwarts....
The Slytherin girl is in the Hospital Wing looking at her father. She was relieved that she managed to save him on time.
She was then snap out of her thoughts when she hears a familiar voice. “Snape....” she then turns around to see the Boy-Who-Lived as he seems rather nervous before he takes a deep breath. “You know, I think we should clear the misunderstanding between both of our families. I am so ashamed of how my father bullied yours when they were students. He was one of the reason why your father ended up following the path of becoming a Death Eater besides your grandfather.” he then says before Y/n growl at the mention of her grandfather Tobias Snape. “Of course, I hate him for what he did to my father.” she then replies. “He’s already dead, Y/n. You don't have to worry about him anymore.” Muzan in spirit form tries comforting her. The Slytherin girl then sighs.
Harry then gives her a sympathetic look. “Hey, I felt sorry for you that your real family didn't treated you like the way Snape treated you.” he says as Y/n (and Muzan) were surprised on how he knew that. The Slytherin girl then gives him a serious look. “Not a word to anyone, Potter.” she says. “Don’t worry. I can understand my aunt mistreated me growing up so I can understand.” the Boy-Who-Lived then says as Y/n widen slightly at that.
The Slytherin girl then shook her head immediately. “*sighs* Yes, it's true. I'm not from this dimension but from another. However, I left a long time ago.” she says before looking at her father. “He was the first person who treat me with kindness.” she says with such emotion in her voice. Harry justs nod. “You know, I was wrong about both of you. You both show that there's more between both of you.” he says which made Y/n look at him. “I really hated how much of a jerk my father was and my mother was originally friends with yours until their sixth year. Now, I couldn't blame your father for hating me because I reminded him his own bully and rival.” he says as he looks at her. “I never thought he really didn't want to kill Dumbledore.” he adds as Y/n sighs. “He never wanted to but he has no choice in order for the Dark Lord to trust him completely.” she says. Harry then looks at Severus. “I hope he wakes up.” he says as the Slytherin girl nod in agreement.
An hour later....
Y/n had to leave the Hospital Wing to get something to eat as she made a promise to take care of herself. After she left, the former Potions Master’s finger start to move. Severus starts to groan before he slowly starts to open his eyes. When he completely opens them, he looks around his eyes widen that he's in the Hospital Wing.
When the Slytherin girl came back. Her eyes widen before she immediately made her way towards him. “D-Dad?” she then asks trying her best not to let the tears fall from her eyes. The former Potion Master slowly gives his daughter a hug as she cries on his shoulder. “I'm glad that you're awake..” She sobs out making Severus sigh and rub a circle around her back “It’s okay now. I'm fine now” He says.
Muzan in his spirit form smiles but it was a genuine smile. He had grown to care for Y/n. He then notices someone it was Minerva McGonagall. “Y/n, someone is here.” he then says as the Slytherin girl then looks surprise at her lover's words before looking up. It was Professor McGonagall. The former Potions Master then notices this as well. “M-Minerva?!” he asks completely surprise to see his friend and colleague. Severus flinch as he thinks she was angry at him for the things he done. Y/n immediately move away from her father allowing her professor to hug him but careful not to hurt his neck. “Y-you are not mad at me?” the former Potions Master then asks looking surprise.
At that Harry came to the room to see that Severus is awake. “I’m not, you dunderhead.” McGonagall says to him as the Boy-Who-Lived then approach. “You were a hero. You saved us.” he says which made the former Potions Master then roll his eyes.
They then started to explain what happened. They never left out that the Dark Lord's gone. Severus sighs in relief, finally he's gone. He can finally take a break. “I think I need to retire from teaching being a spy took a toll on me.” The former Potions Master then informs as the other three (more like four) nod in understanding. He then looks at his daughter. “Did Kibutsuji kill anyone when you let him took control?” he asks as he wants to know if Muzan killed any innocent. Muzan in spirit form then sweat drop. He did kill innocent people but seeing things through Y/n, he stopped doing it. The Slytherin girl then laughs nervously.
“U-Uh...” The Slytherin stutter before giving her father a nod. “That's good to hear...” Severus says in relief “I didn't wanted to use you over his personal needs...” He adds making the former Demon King grit his teeth. “How dare you think that I'm going to hurt innocent people?!” he thought. “Don't worry, Dad. I can handle him” The Slytherin girl confirm making Severus nod again. “That's good, sweetheart.” He says.
Harry then looks at Y/n confused. “So Kibutsuji is your soulmate? I found out through the pensieve.” he asks making the Slytherin girl nod in confirmation. “Yes, he is, Potter. He was from the dimension I came from. However, after he was killed his soul sort of got stuck to me.” she says. The Boy-Who-Lived just nod. “I notice when he takes control your eyes turn red.” he says. The Slytherin girl then decides not to talk about it. So she remains silent. Muzan on the other hand stood there in his spirit form quiet as usual. Since Y/n zone out of the conversation. The former Demon King didn't and payed attention.
Months later....
The Malfoys were pardoned thanks to Harry and the Snape family. Of course, Severus was pardoned thanks to the Boy-Who-Lived and his daughter. He was given galleons for saving the entire Wizarding community. However, the was used to only renovate the inside of Severus and Y/n’s home in Spinner's End. The Slytherin girl then decides to persue her path on becoming a Potioneer. Muzan was really happy for as it was something she wanted to do.
However, one day while helping her father gather Potion ingredients as he's out of it particularly for personal use. They (along with the former Demon King) found a passage way but Y/n immediately recognize it as the same one that took her from hers and Muzan’s home dimension. The Slytherin girl got in first with her father follow behind her. When they got through, they both look around. Y/n narrows her eyes while Severus was following behind her(and the former Demon King). They were in the mountains but the ones in her old home. Y/n then growls being around her again while her father notices his daughter's discomfort. Severus held his daughter's hand. “What's the matter, my dear?” he asks in a worried tone.“Thi-This place..” she says as she wanders her eyes around. “What is this place?” The Potion Master asks.
They were both snap out of their thoughts when they notice somebody. The first one was a boy with burgundy hair, he has bright a red while the other was blind, has a scar on his forehead, fair skin but his left arm is wrinkled, and of course he wears Hanafuda earrings. This was Tanjiro Kamado; Y/n’s biological older brother. The other was a girl who is identical to Y/n but younger due to how time works differently in the Wizarding World. She has black hair like the Slytherin girl, identical pink eyes, and pale skin. This girl was Nezuko Kamado; Y/n’s biological older twin-sister. The Slytherin girl then narrows her eyes while she could hear Muzan growl.
Tanjiro then smells a familiar scent that he hasn't smelled in a very long time. He then turns his attention to where it lead to before his eyes widen in shock. “Y/n...?” he whispers in disbelief. Hearing this Nezuko look up before her eyes widen in shock to see her own twin-sister. The one they ignored and barely paid any attention to. “Hello, Tanjiro, Nezuko...” Y/n says in a monotone similar to Severus’. While her father narrows his eyes at his daughter's living biological siblings.
Before the two Kamado’s could say anything they were interrupted when their were people were calling out to them. Pretty much, 8 other people came around. “Who the hell are they!?” the one who wears a boar mask asks. “No way!!! She's so identical to you, Nezuko-chan!!” A guy with blonde hair screech making the two Snapes roll their eyes at that. “Who are these people, Tanjiro?” A guy with white hair who has scars on his face asks while the remaining five look confused. Y/n then narrows her eyes. “I’m not surprised that you two didn't even tell them about me, Tanjiro, Nezuko.” she says as she looks at the friends of her two biological siblings. “Allow me to introduce myself.” she then informs making the others who were confused look at her. “My name is Y/n Snape but my real name is Y/n Kamado. I am Nezuko’s younger but forgotten twin-sister. Mostly known as the so-called black sheep in our family.” she reveals to the friends of the Kamado siblings making them look surprise. “You had another sister, Tanjiro-san?” One of them who has black hair and blue eyes then asks. “I thought Nezuko-chan was the only sister you have living.” The blonde-haired guy then says. The Slytherin girl then glares at both if her biological siblings. “Idiotic dunderheads. You really think I would consider you both as my siblings? No, because you're nothing but strangers to me now. I had found out about what happened to our mother and siblings but it doesn't concern me." She then says having no amount sadness in her voice making the friends of her siblings look at in her surprise. “After all they deserve it for your incompetence and ignoring my existence.” she then adds.
“Y/n, we-” Tanjiro was then cut off when his sister interrupt him. Y/n narrows her eyes. “Don’t Y/n me, brother. I'm no longer the same kind girl you and the rest of our family knew a long time ago. I already had enough because everybody here hates me but all I wanted was to help.” she rants as she tries her best not to let the tears fall from her eyes. “You were all focus on Nezuko and not me?!!! Do you have any idea that I've been suffering on the inside, do you?!” she then asks as her brother remain silent as the realization hit him hard. The Slytherin girl then looks at her twin but they don't look like twins anymore because she looks a bit older. “What about you, Nezuko? Have you even bothered to know what I feel? No, because you all just ignore me.” She then adds making Nezuko look down in shame. “That’s why a long time ago I ran away and left our dimension. I became Y/n Snape, the daughter of Severus Snape.” she then finishes as her father step forward as he stood next to her.
Muzan has the urge to take control and mock Y/n’s brother pretty much whom he thought he can pass his ideals to him when he's about to be defeated months prior in this world but in the Wizarding World it was about 2 years.
Severus then glares at his daughter’s biological siblings. “Idiot, ignorant, and selfish dunderheads. You two really thought things would go your way. Especially you.” He says as he looks at the older Kamado sibling. “You and your other siblings ignore Y/n. Took the things she done for granted but never bothered thanking her. People like you, get what they deserved in the end.” the former Potions Master then scowls. Seeing this Y/n then let the former Demon King take control as her eyes turn red. She then smiles wickedly. “What a shame.... I really thought about letting you to rule the world and continue my goals. However, now I think it wasn't worth it.” Muzan spoke through the Slytherin girl shocking Tanjiro, Nezuko, and their friends. The burgundy hair boy then forward his eyebrows. “Muzan Kibutsuji?!! You've survived?! And why are you controlling my sister?!!” he then demands making the former Demon King laugh darkly. “Control, her? Well, I didn't. She allowed me to take control.” she then says as the Kamado siblings and the others look surprise. “What?” Tanjiro asks not believing what he's hearing. “Don’t call Y/n your sister as just as she said before you are nothing but strangers to her now.” Muzan then informs. The former Potions Master then decides to speak. “Unfortunately, it escaped your notice but life is unfair and also cruel. As punishment because of what you did of ignoring the existence of my daughter. Kibutsuji’s soul merge with Y/n’s soul. My daughter's soul mark is the Blue Spider Lily which means he was the soulmate to my daughter.” He then reveals as the former Demon King while having control of Y/n’s body smirk while looking amuse by the others’ reaction.
“Y/n, for-forgive me...” Tanjiro says as he feels embarrass for what he had done to his beloved little sister. “No, it's too late for you to say those things to her...” She says, bitterly. “She's happy now. She's happy without you both anymore....” The former Demon King spoke through Y/n. “Yes, that's right in the dimension she currently lives with me. Of course, she has people she cared about in comparison to you dunderheads. If you treated her decently none of this would happen.” Severus then scowls.
‘Do you want me to kill them, my love?’ Muzan asks Y/n through their thoughts. The Slytherin girl then places her hand under her chin before she then starts speaking. “No, but keep them alive. I want them to suffer in misery and regret for what they did to me.” she then says making the former Demon King groan in annoyance but he decides not to argue. Muzan then looks at the burgundy-haired boy. “You’re lucky she told me not to kill you. Even though, I want to.” She then says as he and their friends get into combat position. The former Demon King then scowls. “I have no intention on killing you as it's just a waste of time.” she then says as Y/n’s eyes turn back to normal. She then takes out her wand pointing it out her brother, sister, and their friends. “Take one step or I'll hex you.” she then warns.
The two Kamado siblings want to approach their sister but with her pointing that stick at them and the look she's giving tells them she's no longer the same girl they knew. “Y/n.” Nezuko calls out but her twin just ignore her with her eyes narrowed.
Severus places a hand on his daughter’s shoulder making her look at him. “We should head back....” he says making the Slytherin girl then smile. “I would love that very much, Dad.” she then says in a soft tone before her stoic yet unreadable expression cross her face once more when she looks at her biological siblings. She just scowls before she and her father then flew away in black smoke. Tanjiro drop down to his knees as tears start falling from his eyes. The younger Kamado then kneels beside him as they both cried feeling regret for the things they did to their younger sister.
With the Snape family...
They find themselves in the passage way. The Slytherin girl then feels satisfied for the truth she said to her biological siblings. Y/n has a satisfied smirk which made her lover amuse as she gave them hurtful yet truthful things. Well, Muzan being her soulmate wa what shock and horrified them more. The former Potions Master then approaches his daughter as he holds his hand out in which she gladly took. To which they got through the portal. When the got through, they found themselves back in the woods on while they were gathering Potion ingredients. They then continue doing so.
Later back in Spinner's End in Y/n’s room....
Y/n was reading her father's copy of Advanced Potions Making. While her lover was watching her as she looks cute on how she's concentrated. Most of her behavior were planted on her by her father even though they weren't biologically related by blood. Y/n has people who cared about her. Her father, Muzan Kibutsuji; her lover, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Mariam Nott; Theodore’s sister, Narcissa Malfoy; her Godmother, Lucius Malfoy; her Godfather, Professor McGonagall, and the late Headmaster Dumbledore. The Slytherin girl was satisfied with the life she has in the Wizarding World as she then let's go off her life back in her home dimension. She doesn't care about what happened to Tanjiro and Nezuko. It didn't matter to her. She then continues on her path to become a Potioneer.
End of this one-shot
Behind the scenes of this one-shot (play music feature on this one):
Y/n is seen dancing with her boyfriend who is pretty much Muzan in his final form from the Kimetsu no Yaiba Manga. She then giggles. “You know I like it when you look like this.” she then admits making her boyfriend chuckle. “You do, huh, my love?” Muzan says as he keep his arms around his girlfriend. They both keep dancing in the music. Y/n then looks at her boyfriend in the eye. “Are you okay about dancing without wearing shoes?” she asks worriedly as he chuckles. “Don’t worry, I can handle it. You knew I've been a part of a lot of dancing competition when I was back in High School.” he then says as they continue dancing with his girlfriend.
Muzan then carefully twirls Y/n around making her giggle. He then smiles softly. His girlfriend was surprised that he's able to continue dancing without slipping when he's not wearing shoes because his character’s final form doesn't wear any so he's barefooted.
The young actor slowly spin his girlfriend around making her yelp in surprise. “Calm down, love.. I won't let you go...” He assure his girlfriend. “You better..” She mumbles. Muzan continue dancing with her while they were looking at each other. After the music stop, the young actor then looks at his girlfriend. “You were a great dancer, my love.” he then compliments making Y/n blush. “I’ve had dance lessons when I was back in middle school.” she then admits. The young actor then pulls her close to him. “You were incredible, Y/n.” he then says as he felt her place her head against his bare chest. His girlfriend then looks at him. “They would at least let you appear in your character’s normal form not the final form.” she then mutters.

How did he knew?
“Why would I be jealous?” She ask innocently making Muzan to let out a breathy laugh. “Well, my love, it's pretty obvious that you are.” He says. Y/n rolls her eyes out and shove her boyfriend away a little. “Meanie...” She says along with a pout “Sorry. Sorry. ” The young actor replies before making his way to his beloved girlfriend. When he approach, Y/n let her hand go through the wig white he was wearing on his head for his character’s final form. Muzan gently grab her hand with his as he then took it to his before gently kissing it. “No need to be jealous, Y/n. I am yours and yours alone.” he says before moving Y/n’s hand to his chest. “Just as much you are mine.” he then adds.

They both then pull away but the young actor kept his arms around his girlfriend. They two then look at each other's eyes. After moments of silence, Y/n then sighs. “Fine, maybe I was a bit jealous. It's because we have to shoot when you look like this. I couldn't stand any other women staring at you in this appearance.” she says referring to where he was shirtless. Muzan then wrap his arm around her as he then places a kiss on her forehead. The young actor then looks at his girlfriend. “I know, my love, I noticed.” he then says before he then caresses her hair.
The young actress looks down as she was flustered for what her boyfriend said. “Oh, stop it.” She mumbles making her boyfriend chuckle. “You're so cute” He comments making the young actress even more flustered. “Muzan!” She whine before burying her face against the young actor's chest. Muzan then smiles softly. “This is one of the reasons on why I love you. You're so adorable when you look so flustered.” he then says.
The young actor then carefully caresses her hair with his fake long. “My feelings for you will never change. I am yours and yours alone.” He reassures his girlfriend. Hearing those words, Y/n then wrap her arms him. Muzan then wrap his arms around her. She is the only one he ever love so it would never changed.
