Dr. Amaryllis first joined the foundation in [DATE REDACTED], after graduating from [REDACTED] with a major in Biology, along with a minor in Zoology. He first joined under the Department of Parazoology, as a containment specialist. While making his way to a section of the Foundation he was called to, an incident (later named incident [REDACTED]) resulted in his blood spilling over a cursed amulet - binding him to it. While it wasn't a killing blow - it was enough to require intensive hospitalization. Through a series of testing, it's discovered that Dr. Amaryllis - later dubbed SCP-963-B - is bound to the amulet - later dubbed SCP-963-A. Of course, being so closely tied to the SCP like this, he's demoted down from their position into being an SCP. Through years of effort, from peers and him alike, they've managed to work their way up back into a very similar position - this time under a different department. Rejoining the workforce under the Department of Cryptozoology, this time as an Investigator. and that's basically it! the scpverse page adds more on personality, and the like TRIVIA: (because who doesnt love trivia?) - the gemstone in the middle of the amulet is based off of the "most cursed gemstone in the world" - the delhi sapphire - the amulet's protrusions on the top and bottom are meant to represent snakefangs - the plating representing scales of a snake! - the whole 963 gimmick this time around is ouroboros based - endless cycle, death and rebirth... etc - avid interest in animals, hence the biology/zoology degree! - also interested deeply in bugs - has about 27 different bug pinups in their office alone - he is not immune to fun patterns. (will wear a fun patterned sweater if given the chance)

I can clarify this one further! I've been in the fandom for well over a decade. Unfortunately, a few years ago, I ended up in a circle that contained users like Kero and Snakefang, before it was revealed that they were both pro-contact zoophiles and zoosadists. Of course, I got the hell out of dodge once that was revealed, but I did learn a few things from various conversations there, that are likely a bit more reliable considering the speakers (who's secrets were unknown at the time).

The pawprints are a red herring, outdated, and only perpetuated by what's often minors who tend to fearmonger or fall to fearmongering.

Think about it this way - zoos are stupid, but not THAT stupid. A symbol as big and obvious as that? Easily spotted at a con by con security, can easily get them removed real quick.

Dogwhistles aren't going to be that obvious amongst a fandom largely consisting of some of the most intelligent people on the planet.
