I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

#star trek#Vulcans#Humans#not based on a specific thing#but I used to know this annoying couple that were ‘family friends’#who would show up to potluck dinners and the like and would either bring nothing or bring something really just. out of left field?#like a bag of frozen chicken to a bbq#and then proceed to make sure they are first even if it was stated to let kids go first#would take HUGE amounts before anyone else got a chance to get a plate#and then make off with the leftovers again even if they were already claimed for#and it wasn’t a food insecurity thing trust me I would never speak bad about a person getting food if that was even a remote chance#the adults who raised us knew them really well and we’d been to their house a ton of times#they were just dicks#and yeah. they’d occasionally insult the food. while eating the MAJORITY of it.#it was so weird at their home they would go out of their way to get the healthiest options possible#you know the really bland tasteless expensive stuff that apparently was healthier#but then if they were visiting our house they would. eat all our unhealthy snacks.#that always pissed me off so much as a kid because we actually had a food insecurity thing going on#and also a variety of other reasons that are a bit too depressing to bring up on this post#but anyways we’d hardly ever get to have nice snacks#and this couple would just take them all??? even after we’d tell them repeatedly that it was ours and those snacks weren’t gonna be#replaced#hated that couple#if you’re wondering why they were ‘family friends’ it’s because the couple who raised us#(it feels weird to type it out like that but apparently legal guardians doesn’t fit since they never finished petitioning 💀)#liked having them around because it made them look like ‘such great Christian’s’ being nice to the people#that no one else wanted to be friends with#I always thought that was a really weird and fucked up reason to be friends with someone#this got long sorry 😭

#proof i went outside !!#december#in my home town :))))#probably my best memories of my childhood here were jumping out of that tree lol#today i finally drove my car into town for the first time in yrs !!!!!!!!#ritalin fixed my anxiety and focus so that wasn’t an issue but my ocd wrecks havoc and is triggered when driving#like more than usual#since yrs ago it made me smash into a tree LOL but I think I will manage going into town cos it’s not too far#which is so good cos I can get snacks and go to the creek !!!!!#and listening to my music in the car again is something I’ll never take for granted ever again !!#I need to make car playlist hehe#was defs a win for today yay#hope ur all having nice day <3

Funny that my migraines can sometimes just look like me being too fucking tired and foggy to mediate between family members
#I was so ON all the time on Christmas Day til about 9pm#then then I baked stuff and made the mistake of drinking but I was so emotionally wrung out man I needed control of SOMETHING#I should’ve considered it might trigger a migraine but I was so exhausted#and then the next day sibs started arguing#and normally I would’ve intervened#but I was literally lying on the floor with a book on my face trying not to cry out of pain and frustration#so it didn’t happen#and genuinely I forgot how much brainpower it take#bc this year I spent so much time reminding myself I could control my reactions and nothing else#would be nice if my sibs would do the same#oh well at least it wasn’t on Christmas Day#I’m so tired#next year I’ll plan on little breaks#and then 27th I was so tired bc it was last day of all fam gathering#and I was making breastfeeding snacks for pregnant sister#then other sisters were like can I have some#and I knew they wouldn’t let up and I was getting so fucking frustrated#because NO#I literally told you all I was making GER snacks#please for the love of fuck#if you WANTED me to make you snacks#TELL ME BEFORE I BUY THE STUFF#then it was back to migraine yesterday#which now I think about it#again hardly surprising#bc I was spending so much of the day before holding it together and trying not to be frustrated#so my brain was just done#so now I’m on a two day migraine#next year I will do breaks and I will also just let myself get rid of the frustration when I need to#instead of holding it in so it doesn’t set people off

#the only thais I've seen not liking spicy food are the ones with chinese families. eg my dads side relative and one of my old classmates#if you were raised the thai way you could eat very spicy food by like the age of 7#no shit I started eating spicy food by the age of 5#might be biased because my moms family (the one I was raised with) are southern but istg ive never seen anyone who doesnt like#at least 1 spicy dish#we do have desserts as well tho in case you don't know. the kind of snacks that is so sweet you can't eat them 2 days in a row or you die#a nice balance

Well. As you can probably tell, I lied. I did have chapter 2 for Inkubus “mostly written”, but then I decided to go with a different idea for chapter 2 so I’ve been writing new stuff. This will hopefully be done by the end of the weekend (it’s Saturday night at time of posting), but I’m gonna err on the side of procrastination and give it until next weekend.
In case you were wondering, “old” ch2 was going to be a few months jump forward. “New” ch2 is pretty much a direct continuation. I’ll prob bump the old forward and add a ch3 to this, because there are some lines I like. And it should see the light of day.

just met with my old coworker from my last job for breakfast and she told me all the gossip and how my evil old supervisor is going down in flames already 🤭❤️
#also my replacement is already quitting 🤣#and so is my evil supervisor lol#my coworker i met with was my og supervisor who was nice and ber evil replacement who lied about me is quitting already lmao#she started at the end of september#and it took them a month to replace me so my replacement is leaving after like less than a month lol#also my og supervisor filled in for the new one a few times and she was like wtf there's literally no schedule or safety in this room fr#lollll#i love winning#my other old coworker is probably gonna ask me to come back bc the evil supervisor is leaving tho#but even tho i love the kids idk the new new supervisor and i love my new job and im finally gonna be full time#even tho the old school paid more and would maybe give me a raise to come back#im happier where i am#bc the management at the other school was unhinged tbh#plus they basically chose the new supervisor over me after she'd been there LESS THAN A WEEK#sooo nah <3#tho i would really love to see the kids again tho 🥺💔#but other than that no reason to go back#i was so stressed there allllll of the time#bc the office politics and drama were insane#literally everybody hated everybody and spoke badly abt eachother all the time#and management had it out for all the teachers in my room for some reason#like i worked there 5 months got notbing but glowing praise from all my other coworkers and the parents and then new supervisor lied abt me#and they immediately believed her#i ahad worked there almost 6 months and she had been there for 4.5 days#and she went to her boss's boss and cried abt me bc i told her son no you can't climb up on the table at snack time actually#and she was like omg lizzie is MEAN to the kids my son is going to be TRAUMATIZED by this#like girl......#none of the three other teachers in the room thought i was being mean when it happened girl#or any other time#and tbh my other co teachers were lowkey mean imo 😂
