Yo Scandinavians and Finnish-Baltic folks!!

As a german, I was always taught that you're not allowed to eat stuff in the forest that grows below like. Chest height. Because there's fox tapeworm. But in the North everybody was just snacking stuff left and right. Do y'all not have issues with that stuff?

I am dying. From what I can gather, the Hapless Civilian Who Comes Across Shouma Passed Out Because He Hasn't Eaten in this week's Gavv takes him to a food truck that specializes in Karaage (fried chicken). Shouma eats some karaage, marvels at how good this tastes, and then shows him his snack journal, which is FULL of junk food he's eaten and aspires to eat.

Hapless Civilian then goes, "Oh crap, kid, you're gonna die of scurvy" and runs back to the food truck and plops down a couple containers of veggies in front of Shouma, saying he's gotta eat them even if he doesn't like them.

I was kind of wondering when someone involved in this series would be like, "You guys. We can't just have our hero eat junk food (even if that's what he derives his power from), this is setting a terrible example for the kiddos."

and then we get an entire sequence dedicated to soda-flavored gummies and how they are the best thing ever

Sandwiches without crust? That's something I can get behind!

Velcro shoes is a no-go atm cuz I can't even afford new shoes for myself rn. (Even getting a secondhand pair is a struggle)

I could probably make a puppet using spare cardboard maybe, if i can make cosplays out of scraps, a small puppet could be doable. (Maybe i can introduce him to Welcome Home or the muppets? Candle Cove even. I used to love that show. There's also DHMIS, if he likes more spoooky stuff)

anybody else ever think "oh I'm the kind of stressed where I should distract myself and make something, like a stuffed animal" and then it turns out no, your blood sugar was just low? I've got a new record low (but technically still not hypoglycemia) blood sugar and a three and a half foot long worm plushie (it only occurred to me to check my blood sugar after I was done making the worm, I'm fine now but ugh)

No nuance option sorry, vote as in was snacks available throughout the week overall. if you parents bought mainly ingredients, but snacks were readily available, that's still a snacks household. If they bought maybe one or two snacks for the whole week, that's an ingredients household. just use ur best judgment n feel free to go more in depth in the tags, i will read them all bc i am v nosy hehe
