Skam 30 Day Challenge - Day 27 - Favourite location(s)

Oh, Skam has some beautiful aestetic locations, in all three seasons, and I will always remember scenes like "O Helga Natt" and "21:21" for it. But my favourite location is quite simple. Isak`s bed! :D  I think many teenagers can relate to all the hours Isak spends in bed, surfing on internet or gaming (anything but sleeping). But I think that bed plays a bigger role than that. It`s the location in many of the major scenes in the third season, it`s where Isak hides himself, it`s where he slowly lets someone (Even) in, and it`s where he finally chooses a real life, and not a fake one.

I don't know if I've seen the same show as that anon but to me it was super obvious that Even didn't even think of the possibility of Isak showing up? His mouth slowly opening and the little stop in his step when he saw Isak were SURPRISE reactions

SKAM 30 days challenge

Day 1. January, 4. Favorite season (s).

Well, I can’t choose one favorite season since i love them all. Moreover, i love how they complete each other. Each season tells a story of one particular character but it also shows us tiny puzzles of personalities of other characters. For example, in season 1 we had a story about Eva and her insecurity mainly. But we also saw a bit of Vilde, Isak, Noora and others. Even though that were small details which weren’t much spoken about, but we wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy seasons 2 and 3.

SPOILERS!!!

In season 1 we see Noora telling William the truth about his real nature. We see Vilde who hopelessly fell in love with William, even if deep down she knew that it all was all about sex. We see Isak. He struggles with himself. He can’t accept himself, his real desires and feelings. We see it but we do not focus on it because the season is about Eva. In the end we see that despite denying his own nature Isak tries to make a step to Jonas with whom he is secretly in love.

And then we see and enjoy the development of these details and converting of them into long deep stories. Unfortunately, there are only three seasons and that’s why i can speak only about such characters as Isak or Noora, but still i see these details about Vilde and Sana. I believe there will be seasons about them.

So. All in all. I love all the seasons. But i think i love the 1st and the 3rd ones.

I’d like to see whether there are people who have similar thoughts. :)

Skam 30 Day Challenge - Day 28 - favourite outfit(s)

I am not the type to notice outfits. Not at all. However, in Skam I have noticed that the colors on outfis seems to be used deliberately, to make a point, or underline a feeling. Since I don`t have a favourite outfit, and I am to old to dress like these kids anyway, I want to post something about that instead (I have ranted about this before, it`s something I want to learn more about)!

In the first season I just love the "earthy" colours, and the brighter colours in season 2. It`s like the colours and outfits matches the main characters.

 In season 3 Isak often wears his "armour" in grey hoodie and red snapback (Cæsar), while Even wears white t-shirt and blue hoodie/ jacket(God). But not all the time. I like that they switch colors, like in the locker room scene. Here are some excamples : 

I wonder if the colours have a meaning? If we look at season 3 it`s quite interesting. red is often about energy, action and protection against fear and anxiety. grey is distance, conservatism. Then it sounds like Isak really had an "armour" in the beginning of season 3 (why the red snapcack went from Jonas, to Isak to Even and back again, I don`t know). Blue is said to be about stability, calm and communication, while white is about a new start and clean slate. Maybe that was what Even needed in the beginning? In the end of the season Isak and Even often reflect each other a lot more in their clothes. They often wear the same colours; dark red, grey and green. Green often symbolize Balance in life, need for change or growth, protection from fear and healthy relations.

I don`t know if any of this has meaning. But it`s fun to think about. Maybe outfits can be interesting anyway. :D

Day 2.

January, 5. Favourite female character.

Well, i admire Sana. She’s really a great girl. She’s the cleverest and no doubt the wisest of five girls. She tries to destroy these stupid stereotypes that follow us through all our life. Homosexuality, religion. Moreover, she always tries to help her friends.

When Noora was too busy with her insecurity and doubts, Noora told her that that’s okay, a man can and should doubt. She showed her wisdom. When Vilde called Eva a whore, Sana replied that no matter what you should be right beside your friends. She showed her loyalty.

She argued with Isak about homosexuality. And she said it’s the end of the evolution, it’s a mistake. But then she found an article in which it was written about the connection between homo and the Darwin’s theory. She admitted her mistake.

You know, in season 1 i wasn’t sure about her. She seemed to me too arrogant. But in season 2 i saw that she was really great. Much much more better than Noora.

I can talk about Sana a lot.

I also love Vilde. She is such a strong and an open person! She fought her demons and started her life again. She was a little bit silly in season 1. Still i feel kind of ashamed of calling her silly or something. She was afraid, her fears controlled her. In the end look at her! She is trying to solve her problems without harm to her health. She doesn’t create any argument still she could (Noora and William). And just look at this beauty! 💖💖💖💖

Who do you think will be s4 main?: hmm I used to be really convinced it'll be Sana but some of the arguments for Even's season were quite compelling so definitely one of them  Favourite Skam character: Sana obvs (but I also recently became really fond of Vilde) Biggest not canon ship: VILDE/EVA!!! You guys made me ship it so hard. Best Skam quote: literally every single sentence said on the show. “Just take it one day at a time” or “It felt like I had to give up everything to be with you.” and ”Du er ikke alene.” or Sana's whole speech about Islam. There's a lot of great ones. How did you find out about Skam?: hmmm... I actually don't remember that well. I think it kept seeing @nalle blogging about it and as someone who is always interested in LGBT-themed shows, I think I checked it out and became instantly hooked.

Blog created: 2011 (I'm not a Skam blog but a general blog) Why did I choose my URL: because that coming out scene was just so so precious and it came after a very painful two weeks like a beacon of hope and then Isak smiled and we could finally breathe again. Number of followers atm: 468 (yeah being a general blog doesn't really bring me a ton of followers but I don't mind as long as there is someone in the void)
