Mission: Labyrinth of Statues. The maze has temporarily been altered to have a different layout from the usual treasure chest maze, and scattered within it are life-size statues of the legends. (BTW the maze has a cover/the hedges grow in arches over the paths so don’t bother flying.) Smashing someone’s statue eliminates them by teleporting them out so they can’t play, the goal is to be the last team standing. You know someone has been eliminated when a light in the form of a glowing jewel embedded in the statue somewhere (usually eyes) goes out. 1 coin per elimination.
There’s 3 paths at the start: forward, left, and right, and a PvP kill doesn’t permanently eliminate the defeated legend, it’ll respawn them at the beginning, and PvP is off for the first minute to make everyone spread out. Teams can choose to stay together or split up.
Soliel decides to stay with his team if possible.
Timorós goes left.
Chrysós looks at Artemis for a plan.
Argyros goes right.

I got to say, I love your take on Pokémon legend Arceus so far. You certainly didn't pull your punches with that one! The game alone has a bunch of potential for angst, and I can't wait to see what you cook. Anyways, remember to stretch and stay hydrated and as always, Have a good day prof!
I'm doing a more adult take, seeing as a lot of fans arent kids anymore! Im glad youre liking it, the themes will be more complex and mature in nature, but i hope to still weave in pokemon facts in every chapter, even if theyre in passing comments, seeing as Peach is babysitting the PC (Rei) who doesnt know as much, its an opportunity for her to teach, even if its somewhat reluctant at the start. I am finally free of ridiculous deadlines and stress, the planning for chapter 2 is finished, and i can start to refine and change up camera angles, shot layouts and the flow of this all. Sadly i am going to be seperated from my tablet for a month or two max so i'll be working slow, but as soon as my move across the world is done, ill be reunited with my tablet and can smash out pages! Im not going to lie, im frustrated about the wait, its ready to go and i cant get stuck in haha! But so be it, i have to accept i cant do comic work for a short while and then get stuck in on nothing else that end. I feel awful with the delays, I want to bring you all this story! It reveals a lot of peachs past, who she is, her family, and expands on the pokemon world, shows so much more to species often overlooked, and makes an ok game the base for (hopefully) a compelling story about someone who gets broken down so far, and built back twice as strong.
I struggle to not gush about it all the time to be honest with you! hahaha it's my precious passion project, and ive poured years into the planning of this, to hand it out freely and hope others enjoy as much as i have. I hope i dont let you all down!

I Need a Hero (Thorin x reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: Potentially going to make this into a series if people are interested. Also I have finished a part 2 to Floral Arrangements but I am stuck away from my usual PC so it will be a week or so until I get it up sorry.
You’d heard tales of a lost prince trapped within his mountain home, guarded by a fire breathing dragon. Legend said that the one to free Prince Durin would be blessed by Mahal himself to eternal happiness and all the other joys a dwarf could imagine. It was then of no surprise to you that the remining Dwarf Lords sent their sons and daughters to free the dwarven prince. None were successful and no word had been heard from them since.
What shocked you was your Lord’s command, sending you to try to recover the prince. You were a member of the royal guard, but you certainly weren’t the most notable of the guard by any means. Going would be a death sentence but refusing your Lord’s request was treason of the highest degree. With heavy reluctance you undertook the two-day journey to Erebor.
You found yourself at the foot of the mountain, wondering if this place would be your tomb. A cold stone mausoleum. With your mule tied down you made your way to the makeshift rickety wooden bridge up to the entrance. The original stone bridge and much of the entrance had fallen away, whether to time or the dragon’s rampage you were not sure. From the size of the hole in the entrance, you assumed that the dragon had smashed through it on the day of the siege. To survive this, you would have to have your guard up.
Creeping forward through the entrance you began to survey the interior entrance, looking for some sign of where you should go. Your Lord had shown you an old map of Erebor from during its heyday. Amongst the litter of broken stones, melted metal, and scattered skeletal bones you saw what looked to be a large stone sign laying amongst it. Scanning around you saw no sign of life. Taking this as a sign you stealthily crept over to read it. MARKET. THRONE ROOM. GREAT HALL. LIVING QUARTERS. ROYAL WING – were all marked out on the sign. Your mental map of the mountain layout was somewhat correct, you would need to head down the left-hand tunnel to the royal wing. The entrance to the wing was further back in the room,
Heading to the left wing you began climbing over a pile of rubble to get through the entrance. The material was like nothing you had ever felt before, firm underhand and unshifting. It was not until the pile moved, letting out a chuckle that made you freeze in place. “Of all the witless fools who have entered my mountain, never have I had one practically walk into my jaws” the pile puffed in amusement. Scrambling off to the other side and tumbling to your feet in the hallway of the beginning of the royal wing you began to run. “Flee, flee, run for your life, there is nowhere to hide from my fiery death.”
The pile had not been a pile at all but the great dragon Smaug who had cloaked himself in shadows. Looking over your shoulder as you fled you looked on in horror as the dragon began to force his body through the doorway, cracking the stone to fit his bulbous body through. Facing forward once again, you squeezed your eyes shut and mustered all the strength and will within yourself to continue faster without looking back, skidding around corners without slipping over.
After an eternity of running, you came before a door at the end of the long corridor. You heard the dragon in the distance behind you, wriggling its body down the corridor like a great wyrm. Not wanting to take the chance that he may catch you, you pushed the great oaken door open and slipped in.
The golden torch light took you off guard, you hadn’t expected to actually find the prince let alone find him by mistake. A large spacious suite was laid out before you, completely untouched by the devastation you’d seen in the entrance way. On one of the couches staring at you in awe was a dark haired and bearded dwarf of substantial build and handsome profile. You were unsure of what to say to him.
It was he who broke the silence, “Sixty-years. Sixty-years I have not seen another living soul though I have heard the echoes of their screams. Thank you, I am indebted to you. Who may I call my hero.” Smiling warmly at the young prince you answered his query, “I am (Y/N) of (Y/K/N). I was sent by my Lord to recover you your highness.” “(Y/N)” he tasted the syllables of your name on his tongue, “a noble name.” Never had you heard of a noble of your name but for the sake of argument you agreed, you would need the co-operation of the prince if the two of you were to survive.
“Tell me (Y/N)” he paused, “how did you slay the beast?” A loud grumbling roar reverberated on the stone surrounding the pair of you, the dragon neared. Thorin stared at your slacked jaw in disbelief. “You didn’t slay the dragon! The prophecy says you are supposed to slay the dragon before you rescue me” Thorin snapped, “no, no, no, this is all wrong.” “We don’t have time for this your highness. We have to go” you pleaded motioning to the window, "or do you want to be stuck here for another sixty years." Pulling his lips back in a snarl Thorin grunted, “you’ve given me no choice. What’s your plan?” “Where does this window lead?” you questioned. “The courtyard after the entrance. It was built to wow our foreign visitors.”
“Exactly where we need to be. If that doesn't work, we head for the secret tunnel. That's our escape. We just have to avoid the dragon until we reach it. I doubt he knows of its existence.” You mused. “Secret tunnel?” Thorin questioned doubtfully. “Mmhm. Built by Thror when he founded your mountain home and kept secret from all but his heir. I’m surprised that he never told you of it. Though I’m sure when it came time, Thrain would have told you all the Kingly secrets of this place” you affirmed to Thorin, “come now, enough talking. Let’s tie the sheets together and escape your stone prison.”
The two of you worked quickly together knotting sheets, cloak, and shirt alike to make a long enough chain to escape the tower. You scaled the tower first, checking for any sign of the dragon before beckoning the prince down. Neither of you dared call out for fear of alerting Smaug to your scheme. Instead, you crept into the airy silence, staying low to the ground out of fear of being spotted.
The longer the two of you crept in silence, the more worried the two of you grew. It was the clatter of golden coins bouncing off the stone floor beside you that shook the two of you. Simultaneously your eyes met the prince’s, both wide as dinner plates, before gazing up to the dragon's belly above you as he slunk through the castle.
The two of you lay prone on the floor mapping out the course the dragon was taking. Crawling close to Thorin you pressed in against his side and leaned over to whisper into his ear, "We follow the dragon. Keep low, keep quiet. It's heading in the direction we need to go." Thorin nodded in response and the two of you headed off, crawling after the dragon.
You crept like that for what felt like hours, scared even to breathe too loudly, and alerted the dragon to your presences. Finally, the dragon stopped just before the gate, staring out over the nearby land, likely surveying for the two of you. Thorin nudged you and gestured at a cove of rock that the two of you could cover in. With a firm nod the two of you made your way over and got comfy, waiting the dragon out. It would be easier to wait him out than it would to make for the hidden entrance now.
Though it seemed that Thorin didn't quite have the same idea. Instead, the darrow grabbed a huge hunk of broken rock, vaulting it as far as he could back into the entrance way before quickly hunkering in with you. Smaug's head snapped around to the source of the sound and he began to stalk across towards it. Neither of you had expected was for the dragon to pause before whipping around and breathing molten fire across the entrance way debris. With a satisfied smirk he turned back around and stomped down the hallway, disappearing around the corner into the darkness.
"What now" Thorin whispered harshly. "We could have waited him out" you grumped with a pointed look, "but now we have to find another way up and out around the fire." Thorin sighed with a defeated look and nodded, gesturing for you to take the lead. "Move as fast as you can while still being quiet. The last thing we want to do is tip the beast off to our location, he's already suspicious of us" you affirmed before taking the lead out towards the flaming gate.
You scanned frantically around the entrance looking for a way around the flame. Thorin gripped your shoulder, "focus." Drawing a deep breath, you narrowed your focus. Homing in on the wall you found an old half rusted chain fixed to one of the walls. "That's our way out come on."
A tug on the chain caused it to groan but it stayed fixed in place. Signaling upwards you spoke to Thorin, "You first. I'll stay down here and keep looking out as you climb." "Let me get this straight, you want me, the crown prince, to climb an old, rusted chain up a forty-foot wall hoping that a) I don't fall and b) that I don't get spotted by a fire breathing drake that you failed to kill" Thorin huffed. Smiling sarcastically, you answered, "exactly. Now unless you want to be stuck here even longer, get up the wall. Besides there's no guarantee that the chain will hold two of us."
Rolling his eyes at you Thorin begrudgingly took the chain and began scaling the wall. On edge you clenched your teeth, scanning for any sight of the scaly magot. Groaning of the chain caused your breath to catch in your throat. While you wanted the prince out of the mountain and safe, you hardly wanted to be stuck within the mountain crawling around looking for another way out while the dragon stalked around looking for you. You leaned tensely against the wall, begging your body and mind to calm themselves for the sake of your survival.
The familiar clink of a coin hitting the concrete shot you out of your thoughts, though this time it bounced and rolled to land off to your side. Frightenedly, you cast your eyes upwards only to find Thorin at the top of the wall trying to signal he was ready for you to make your way up. Grabbing the chain you began the climb, hauling yourself up your limbs groaning as the tension was forcefully stretched out of them. Higher and higher you climbed, stopping only briefly to steady your grip on the vertical drop. All the time you stared upwards to the top of the wall, meeting the prince's anxious gaze.
Nearing the top Thorin reached an arm down to you, helping you over and up on the top of the exterior wall. The two of you smiled briefly at one another as he helped you up to your feet. You watched his face change as he looked out over the remains of Dale and the changed wilds. Most would have turned their noses up in horror, but Thorin gazed on in wonder, the edges of his mouth turning up into an appreciative smile. He hadn't seen the outside world since the Sack you realised. You knew it was only a small gesture, but you laid a comforting hand on his, stroking his palm gently. Thorin looked at you tenderly, taking in the touch of another being and the sight of your hand within his. "Welcome back to the world Thorin Durin."

Now, let's dissect Ged's masterful creation, breaking down the strategic placements, defense features, and customization options that make this TH15 Hybrid Base a force to be reckoned with in the world of Clash of Clans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Defense with a Purpose
Ged's TH15 Hybrid Base is specifically built to protect your resources and keep attackers at bay. The base has two Rage Towers positioned to cover critical defenses. One guards the Town Hall compartment, offering protection to two exposed Multi Infernos and the Town Hall building. The other stands on the right side, shielding the Eagle Artillery, two more Ground Xbows, and the Monolith, a pivotal structure for TH15.
Tumblr media
The Power of Tesla Placement
Tumblr media
Sweeping away Air units
Ged has also taken care to position the Sweepers carefully. These anti-air defenses are oriented towards the perfect side of the base, influencing attacker drop points for Lalo attacks and airspam strategies.
Clever Dead Zones
A striking aspect in this building is that it has several dead zones scattered across its design. These dead zones play an important role in deterring wallbreakers and also make Queen charges extremely difficult. But, it's worth noting that one Jump Spell can open up the entire base and give attackers an opportunity to gain.
Customization for Your Playstyle
Ged's base allows for customization to suit your preferred playstyle. If you're exclusively using it for Trophy pushing and don't need to safeguard your resources, you can relocate storages outside the base, placing them near the Town Hall compartment alongside cannons and Inferno Towers.
Tumblr media
A Word on Trap Adjustments
While Ged's original trap placements are effective, some players might consider minor adjustments. For instance, moving Teslas by the Town Hall compartment or scatter compartments can create difficulties for ground spam entries. However, be cautious when moving Teslas to avoid exposing your base's weaknesses.
ConclusionIn summary, Ged's TH15 Hybrid Base offers a robust defense strategy that can keep your precious resources safe while making attackers think twice before launching an attack. Feel free to use this TH15 hybrid base to experience the actual power of the base.
Thanks for joining us, Chief!

Interview with Fan Artist loycos!
Tumblr media
(Art by loycos)
So a few months ago, I was absent-mindedly scrolling on Tumblr (or was it Twitter?) when I came across something: an Adventure Time fan comic by an artist named loycos. As a person embedded in fan spaces, I find fanart like this all the time, but this time, there was something special about the art I was seeing. It was so... show-accurate!
I don’t mean that necessarily in regard to the art style (although it does feel right at home in the Land of Ooo, while still being its own thing with its own flourishes), but rather in relation to the characterization; the way loycos wrote the characters was spot on. She nailed PB and Marceline’s dynamic as former lovers who deep-down miss one another. She nailed Finn’s naive heroism and his one-sided crush on PB. She nailed Jake’s goofball energy. It was perfect.
In the past, I’ve only interviewed people affiliated with the show’s production, but I thought I’d mix things up a bit and reach out to some fan artists that I think are fantastic. As such, I’m delighted to share with you an interview I had with loycos, who answered my questions about her art, her history with Adventure Time, and where her work is headed!
What is your 'artistic origin' story?
[It’s] kind of a corny answer, but I've been drawing since I remember myself. My earliest drawing memories are drawing Clifford (the big red dog) fanart when I was around 5 y/o. I was always more of a "fangirl" artist, [and] I would draw characters from my favorite franchises to illustrate my headcanons and daydream scenarios I'd put them in. That hadn't changed one bit since. I had since gone on to study animation and illustration in official institutions which forced me to design characters and worlds of my own, but when I draw for myself it's always back to fanart (or studies). I don't have any OCs.
Are there particular artists or styles that you were inspired by and/or like to emulate or allude to?
I'd joke that my artstyle is just a mesh of all the franchises I've drawn fanart for over the years, but honestly, is it even a joke? I think you can easily recognize I had a Disney Phase like every other teenager (I didn't have an anime phase though! I know, I'm an anomaly) and [Steven Universe] definitely left it's fat mark on my style too. Out of [Steven Universe]'s storyboarding crew (which I followed very closely over the years) I especially love Raven Molisee and Jeff Liu for their wacky expressions and proportions, and of course Rebecca Sugar for their fluid and carefree lines. When it comes to art in general, I tend to prefer stylized, colorful and brushy styles over realistic or gothic ones, So people like Hue Teo and Patri Balanovsky pop to my mind (and my artstation feed, seriously look them up).
How do you approach your projects; what is your general art process?
It really depends on the type of project I'm doing, though, my [Adventure Time] comics were all pretty similar in their conception: I write down all of my ideas in my notes so I won't forget them. Then I either roughly sketch out the entire comic as fast as I can, or I write a script (if the concept is specifically very dialog heavy) and then sketch it roughly. Then I do the lineart and color, nothing too complicated. The one thing I think is worth noting in my long comic process is that I draw all of my panels on the same document- that way it's easier for me to make sure the characters stay on model and that my panel layout remains fresh. So basically, the way you read the comics on tumblr, as a long scroll, is the format I work on.
How did you come to find Adventure Time? What made you join the fandom?
Adventure Time is one of those shows you just know about, so I don't remember how I first found out about the show. However, I do remember when I started shipping Bubbline—after the episode “Broke His Crown” aired. I somehow ended up in their Tumblr tag and was blown away by the (by 2016's standards) blatant representation. Despite my obsession with them at the time, I never actually watched any episode that didn't feature the girls' relationship. I only started fully watching the show recently. But I did consume a lot of fan content, which I think helped me shape my own headcanons and such. After my initial interest in 2016 I put Bubbline back on the back burner and kept on my [Steven Universe] ramage, until last year's “Obsidian,” which brought me back fully on board the Bubbline decks around 2 weeks before it aired, so I was in maximum hype mode when I watched the special. It did not disappoint [and it] really reminded me of why I loved these characters and their relationship to begin with. I started drawing my own art for the ship shortly after, when I felt like the hype around the special died down and there wasn't much to keep me sustained anymore. I make what I want to see ;)
As for joining the fandom, I don't know if I can be considered a member, seeing how inactive I am most of the time and my very limited list of [Adventure Time] mutuals. I am extremely flattered that my stuff caught ATimers attention in a positive way.
You've done some amazing Bubblegum and Marceline stuff. What draws you to their dynamic?
I'm gay.
OK, seriously now. I have a soft spot for extremely feminine, dainty characters that are very reserved, so PB immediately marked herself as an obvious fav, and the road to shipping her with Marceline (who is such an obvious candidate and a multilayered, fascinating character herself) was a short one. I know calling PB dainty is far from a true statement, but that's what she appeared like on the surface and that's what caught my attention. Another thing is that I love relationships between immortal beings, I think it always adds another layer of complexity to any relationship, especially a romantic one. The whole "getting older without appearing like you've aged" and "watching everyone you love die around you while you stay the same" can surely make 2 beings bond, right? It always felt like PB and Marcy get each other in a way no one else can, they are very different on the surface but share fundamental internal similarities. Oh, and the fact that they're EXES? The romantic tension and the longing? The familiarity and banter they had in every scene they shared? This hit the jackpot on literally every relationship trope that I love. I'd much rather watch a "getting back together" than a "falling in love for the first time" story.
All of this and the fact that they [are] gay. It's really that simple sometimes.
In broad strokes, what is next for you as an artist and/or as a fan?
I have a few [Adventure Time] comics ideas\scripts on the back burner and one that is in the making. I think I'll dabble into some Nintendo fanart cause I've been playing a lot of Smash Bros and [Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild] lately.
I’m so excited to see what comes next! Either way, a huge thanks to loycos for chattin’ with me! If you’d like to check out more of her art, visit her Tumblr and her Twitter page!

It’s time for “Oops, Some Human(oid) Muses get a Poke AU” time (that isn’t arceus legends au...I WILL GET TO THAT WHEN I STOP GETTING DISTRACTED BY QUESTS)
Cards made on PokeCharms! Check out the teams after the readmore! Feel free to ask about them too, i-if you like ;w;
Alph
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not the most flattering image for him but hey, blue hair and scientist...i guess it’s him with glasses...and less pudgy. I see Alph as pudgy.
Went mostly with electric and steel types, with Leavanny being a Pikmin representative. His Voltorb would also be a Pikmin rep of sorts, with it being a Hisuian one. No known aces, but his steel types and electric types do help him on his inventing jobs.
Ana
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be completely honest, I can’t quite pin her team down to just 6 because girl would befriend any hecking mon that comes her way, AND SHE CAN DO IT.
But basically Don is her ace shiny fletchling, while the three after that being other creechers that she canonically knows (dog, turtle, monkey). Then we got Teddiursa because oops, @honey-and-berries-pmd, and my inner running joke that she brought a real ass bear to kindy. And then Latias is her PokeBall counterpart from Smash. The whole swooshy across screen thing.
??? (Blue Eight)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There isn’t much known about this clone of the Dragon Quest 8 protagonist, and heck, he got no distinguishing name to himself! But his “munchie” is just a regular o’ Pigrat. Half of the team are mons who are summoned from PokeBalls in Smash. But Sliggoo and Heracross are a mystery...
Cooking Mama
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Retired champion/Elite 4 member! She’s of course like, well past her 30s (as I keep thinking she is), but she has no ace as all her mons are well loved and help out in her cooking and crafting! It’s rumored her starter is Rotom, who was haunting her appliances. Oh, did we mention she didn’t start her trainerhood as a kid?
Generally went with mons who would help her in the kitchen, though Levanny is a good nod towards her maternal nature and knack of nature. Rotom usually sticks in fridge form to help store any ingredients she finds and any she needs during her travels.
Eight
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haven’t played him or half of these muses for a long time. But basically the first half of his team are for lore reasons, while the other half is related to the spells he brought to smash (electric, fire/sizzle, blizzard...wow he really didn’t learn most of the spells he has for smash. .x.
Icon is because bandanna. Love the layout!
Firefly
Tumblr media
She has no official art but she is red haired not black haired. Only used this icon cuz the outfit. It’s a pinky red. And admittedly went with a heavy on fighting type side, and that includes the Lilligant, which is the Hisuian form.
Ace is Pignite, based off of Chinese aesthetics, HEAT FU, and just being a fighting type. He’s also her starter! Lombre will stay Lombre forever, because no water stone and he feels too lax to evolve. Based off of the lil kappa who tosses the ball in Kung Fu Ball.
Honoka Kawai
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One word, BUNNIES. She has pretty much every bunny based mon (that isn’t a legendary...I’m suspicious of you Victini), plus a shiny Bunnelby she just hatched. Her ace IS Loppuny, but she has a soft spot for her Diggersby. Also Cinccino and Wigglytuff are there for long ears (sort of bunny-eqsue) and soft soft fur. ...tbh all her mons have really luxurious fur due to great care.
The only mons in her roster who are (directly) related to each other are the Diggersby and the shiny Bunnelby. They all probably have really cutesy names. Also like...most of my muses would nickname their mons, just a fyi.
Keiko
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Braids and white sweater, using her for Keiko. Her mons are generally those who are classified as white or just have smiley faces, and they will all be able to kick your arses in both battle and sports. ESPECIALLY SPORTS. Aces are Ambipom and Chatot.
Momo Taro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This buff guy got a balanced team of sorts. Three of them are absolutely based on the monkey, dog, and pheasant most Momotaros get. And the other half are mons who got sharp things...like swords...Starter is Samurott! But like his trainer, they’re really goofballs once you get past the buff exterior.
Momotaro (@panickypeachboy)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The younger, meeker, yet sort of serious Momotaro! This is primarily based off that Pokemon AU I had for a long time, where his starters are Horsea and Klefki. Like the Momotaro above, definitely have a dog, monkey, pheasant thing going on, with Lurantis reflecting the boy’s peachy planty cutty nature. Team has really childish sounding nicknames despite the boy’s attempts at sternness.
Side note, Kingra and Lycanroc would be in their basic, unevolved forms for the longest time...and Tranquill was not a Pidove for long. But damn, Momotaro befriends tons of mons and doesn’t use Poke Balls for ‘em.
Red (Riding Hood)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deceptively cute mons, including several canid buddies! To be honest, she’s a bit scared of her Lycanroc, but that’s what happens when you venture out with your Rockruff at night and she wanted to protect you from another, particularly infamous wolf. Corsola is nothing to sneeze at, as her icicle spears and power gems blast off quite rapidly...
Shanilla Bhagwati
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*edit by @monsters-of-the-world!!!*
To be honest, this may be mostly surface level, wiki based stuff: purple mons, and mons who are normal...and the mons who are are a bit...eccentric to say the least. Look, two mons who have ghosty elements! Thanks Billy!
Also I wish the Pokemon universe had more dark skinned people! >:T Glad it’s been being fixed in the newer games but...alas the limits of le card maker and older Pokemon games.

A list of fandoms I'm in (in no particular order, will probably be updated regularly. Some fandoms are more intense and some are more casual. Depending on the fandom, I could go on and on about fandom topics for HOURS. Let's get into it!)
Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, DC comics, Miraculous Ladybug, Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra, Star Wars, Literature, Winx Club, Nintendo, Minecraft, Little Witch Academia, Voltron, Coraline
Details:
Harry Potter- I got into Harry Potter in 7th grade and now I am the resident expert in my family and in my friend group. I read all the books, watched all the movies (notably the British version), and I've seen the Fantastic Beasts films as well. I've also read Tales of Beedle the Bard (the Warlock's Hairy Heart was traumatizing) along with the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook (plus an updated edition). I also read The Cursed Child script and while I mean no hate to anyone that liked it, I hated what it did to the canon. I am in Hufflepuff with some Ravenclaw tendencies (I took the Pottermore quiz 3 times, 2 out of 3 I got Hufflepuff, the other time was Ravenclaw). I had a pottermore account and I was so upset when it got converted to the Wizarding World page. I cosplayed Hermione in 7th grade complete with British accent and even monologued as her for a talent show (classmates and teachers would recognize me as the Hermione girl all the way through high school). I was obsessed and I still love it even if J.K. Rowling has gone off the deep end on Twitter... yeah... my favorite character is Hermione but I also relate to Luna
Disney- there's so much that goes into the Disney part of my fandom list. I'm excluding Marvel and Star Wars from this part as they were originally separate entities before Disney got the rights to them. I have seen almost every animated Disney film ever and often use random movie quotes in conversation. My favorite villain is Maleficent, my favorite princess is Ariel (followed by Belle, Rapunzel, and Anna). I relate to so many of the characters. I'm not sure who my favorite Pixar character is though (I love Violet, Sadness, Dory, and Piper (from the short)). My favorite Disney fairy is Fawn. My favorite characters overall are Ariel and Stitch. Disney is definitely on the list as one of my biggest obsessions. My favorite movies are Lilo and Stitch, the Little Mermaid, Inside Out, Alice in Wonderland (original), and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Marvel- I mostly get my Marvel exposure through the MCU, other movies, and animated TV shows. I have difficulty reading graphic novels so most of my comic book knowledge comes from friends, posts, or wikis. My favorite characters are Spider-Man, Captain America, Peggy Carter, and Scarlet Witch. I also like Gwenpool, Deadpool, Spider-Gwen/ Ghost-Spider, Venom, Squirrel Girl, Daredevil, Mantis, Gamora, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Bucky, Black Panther, and most MCU characters. Out of the X-men I really like Professor X, Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Quicksilver (either version- MCU or Fox).
DC- this was the franchise I was more familiar with growing up but again, graphic novels aren't easy for me to read so most of my knowledge comes from information pages about the comics or from tv/movies. My earliest experience with DC came from the 60s Batman series, with Catwoman and Robin being my favorites. I also watched the Wonder Woman series from the 70s and a handful of CW shows, my favorite of which being the Flash and Arrow. I also managed to watch all 5 seasons of the Teen Titans Cartoon Network series from 2003. With that being said, my favorite characters are Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Flash, Batman, Nightwing/Robin (Dick Grayson), Green Arrow, Starfire, Raven, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Alfred. I also like most of the bat family, and when it comes to CW I LOVE Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and Cisco.
Miraculous- this is one of my guilty fandoms but since this is Tumblr I'm not too worried about it. I love Marinette and I relate to her on an astoundingly deep level (minus the stalking and obsession with potential lovers, that's creepy). If I had a miraculous, I'd probably want the Ladybug one, but the Cat miraculous, fox miraculous, and snake miraculous are good too. My favorite character is Marinette/Ladybug.
Atla/Tlok- I jumped on the avatar bandwagon just when it was starting to get popular, so I managed to get through the series before the memes took over everything. Same with Tlok, although i couldn't completely avoid the spoilers for that when i started it. I've been wanting to get into the comics because of the short story comics I've read, they seem easier to read than superhero comics. My favorite characters are Aang, Katara, Ty Lee, Iroh, Korra, Jinora, Asami, Suki, Appa, Momo, Naga, and Pabu. I also like Sokka, Mai, Zuko, Lin, Kuvira, Varrick, Zhu Lee, and Azula. I feel really sorry for her and while I understand that a redemption arc would undermine the importance of her corruption arc, I still wish she could have one. I would love to be a waterbender or an airbender... maybe a waterbender raised in the air nation? Obviously, being the avatar itself would be awesome. The show has taught me a lot of great lessons and put a lot of stuff into perspective for me.
Star Wars- oh boy, talking about this one is dangerous. I've seen firsthand the horrors of the Star Wars fandom but then again no one will probably see this anyway so... I've seen all the movies and I remember watching the clone wars series with my brother when I was younger but we fell wayyy behind and it's taking us forever to get back into it. I've also seen the Mandalorian and quite enjoyed it. I like the prequels unironically, in fact, the prequels are some of my favorite movies. I especially like how they switched from lightsabers being heavy weapons to light weapons that can be used for all kinds of tricks that make for epic battles like the ones we see in Revenge of the Sith. The sequels were fun to watch but when I would analyze them along side their predecessors, I came to the conclusion that, for me, they were good to watch but did not do anything good for the rest of the franchise. My favorite characters are prequels/clone wars Obi Wan and Anakin, Padme, Ashoka, Leia, R2D2, BB-8, R4-P17, the Mandalorian (Din Djarin), and Grogu. If I had a lightsaber I'd want it to be blue, but when I was little I got a purple one like Mace Windu because it was closer to pink and I was into pink at the time. I still have that lightsaber and none of my friends have a purple one so it's one of my flexes. I feel like I wouldn't make a good jedi because of attachments being forbidden, so I'd probably become a grey jedi.
Literature- this is a broad term I use to cover all the random books and stories I liked reading and have studied. So we have Shakespeare (Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet), The Great Gatsby (bored while reading, loved to analyze), Grendel (HATED reading, loved to analyze, Grendel really needed a hug and a friend), The Crucible, Fahrenheit 451, Dark Life (+ the sequel Riptide, both are by Kat Falls good reads, sci-fi and kind of dystopian), The Once and Future King
Winx Club- I think the show is trashy but I still love watching it. I haven't been able to get through season 6 though and I hated what they did with season 8 and Fate: the Winx Saga. My favorite character is Bloom along with Stella and Flora. I prefer rai to nick. My favorite transformations are magic winx, enchantix, and harmonix. My favorite member of the Trix is Icy followed by Darcy. My favorite Pixies are Chatta and Lockette.
Nintendo- mainly Pokémon above all else, followed by Animal Crossing. I have also played (mostly as player 2 or just never beat or watched my brother play) mario games, legend of zelda, pikmin, and kirby. Games I haven't played but I just liked the characters/the lore and probably learned about through Super Smash Bros. are Fire Emblem (Lucina mostly), Metroid (Samus and baby metroid), and Kid Icarus. Pokémon is where I'm most knowledgeable but you'll most likely beat me in battle. I am however great at MarioKart and I always destroy my friends at it. Terrible at fighting games though.
Minecraft- I like playing this casually. Sure, I'll play for hours and hours on end for months, but I prefer to stay exclusively in peaceful when playing Survival mode and I don't make anything too ambitious in Creative mode. I like to write, so sometimes I'll make a rough layout of the settings of my stories in different worlds. I prefer interior design and decorating when building, and when in survival mode I focus more on mining and gathering while my brother works on ambitious building projects. I just bring him the raw materials and furnish the interior when he finishes the outside.
Little Witch Academia- this takes up a smaller portion of my fandom list because there were only 2 seasons and a couple movies and I watched the whole series years ago, but I still enjoy it. At one point I wanted to cosplay Akko, and I loved the nod at Twilight through the Nightfall series. And I especially liked the twist that Shiny Chariot was Ursula, which I suspected for some time. The blend between magic and technology was fun to see, but I was so sad that the series ended RIGHT when Akko finally showed signs of magic proficiency. Also, Shiny Chariot being the reason Akko couldn't do magic was heartbreaking.
Voltron- this takes up a much smaller portion of my fandom list mainly because I haven't even finished it. I know hardly anything about Transformers aside from the Bumblebee movie so to me I just watch it for fun. It reminds me of power rangers, star wars, and star trek, and then there's just a transformer insert. But I don't know anything about Transformers so maybe the show is more rooted in canon than I think.
Coraline- I am in a love-hate relationship with Coraline. I have watched the movie several times, I've read the book, I've watched hours of theories and analyses on youtube, I've watched behind the scenes videos by Laika, and I even wrote a script for a fan film parody. I am amazed at how original the story is and how impressive the stop motion animation is but I also have recurring nightmares from it and it scares me/creeps me out to the max. If anyone asks what my scariness limit is, it's definitely Coraline.

My reactions through my Nintendo E3 2021’s highlight picks
Hey guys! You know me from what been checking on E3 announcement last week. I even did my other posts to mention it of 🐰Mario + Rabbits sequel game and 🏁🏎Forza Horizon 5 as my interests picks.
June. 13th, 2021 - Link Here
June. 14th, 2021 - Link Here #2
Now it's finally time that I can talk through Nintendo E3 2021's announcement of games and content; after reveals back in June 15th that I should've bring this sooner, but due to working on my other tasks that I'm gonna save it til today. Hoping that I had time for free time to explain of what I feel for Nintendo E3 2021 Direct reveal for this month of June; especially which one that I finding most interested so I could added through my wishlist on eShop app. So today, here's my interesting picks for Nintendo E3 reveal this year; whether you agreed or disagree of how it goes when you suggest other was. I know if everyone so close to look forward the Switch Pro reveal, but it seems that it didn't happen anytime soon. Anyways, now get into my picks that I screenshot and edited through last week's Nintendo Direct I've managed.
First top left - ✊😈Kazuya Mishima joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate
First off, I knew that there will be at least one Super Smash Bros DLC Fighter reveal; before saving the last one for coming months this year soon. What's really unexpected to see though is a second Bandai Namco fighter after 👻PAC-MAN, but sadly its not Lloyd that if everyone hoping he would've upgraded from a Mii Costume to a true fighter yet. (Like we ever getting another sword fighter once again. 😒) No, it was actually ✊😈Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series. My reaction was caught my attention since it started when he carrying Ganondorf to the lava pit and so does other fighters that is really dark. Except for Kirby that thankfully knows how to get away, but still. If I remember his origin through reading wiki site though, at time he used to be good until his father Heihachi sees him as his weakness. Later when Heihachi kills one of the family members that Kazuya been fond of and being thrown by his father in the cliff until he eventually climbs back up when his devil gene activates. Ever since then, Kazuya is now antagonist for the recent Tekken games so far and seeing him to match fight against Smash was an unexpected sight. I remember the time after hearing Masahiro Sakurai's interview where he consider Heihachi to be playable for Smash 4, but pass over due to implement his moveset to be difficult. But here we are seeing for Kazuya instead that it really sure takes time to deliver. After his moveset through his reveal could be challenging to work it out on command. Let's just wait to figure out once Sakurai will finally bring us his next presentation next week, but for now knowing this Tekken fighter joining Smash was a unique idea that Sakurai managed to work it out.
Second top right - 🌟Mario Party Super Stars
How about that when where seeing the next Mario Party game brings us? Despite the recent 2018 Super Mario Party, this will be the twelfth installment to be heading Nintendo Switch this year's 🎃October 2021; this time having 100 remastered minigames like I've seen them before on previous Mario Party games. My reaction was good to see how it continues on, but sure miss that time I remember from my childhood for the original first Mario Party game on the N64 console. So what's get me attention is the recognized boards such as 👑🎂Peach's Birthday Cake makes a comeback! It looks the way that I remember from playing the N64 game when the layouts off frosting goodness and the song to match as well. It was really something when it comes from Nintendo and their past N64 games I have memories fond of. 🙂👍🏼
youtube
I give this Nintendo a good move when trying to bring back Mario Party again as a E3 reveal, but maybe just maybe if it will be this good from previous Mario Party games in terms of selling copies. Who knows? *Shrug*
Third middle left - Metroid Dread
However, if you really looking forward a new Nintendo game coming to October 2021 early is a most recognized franchise making a return....meanwhile Metroid Prime 4 is still in development. At least knowing this game can take us time before the fourth prime game can be finished, but man that everyone went crazy after the reveal of Metroid Dread! It the return of 2D Metroid game in action after the success of Samus Return for 3DS back in September 2017. My reaction was surprised and impressive for the looks and feels about this game's tone; especially the haunting part where the robot named "EMMI" (but don't be confused with the word Emmy as an Emmy Award like if would funny. 😅) trying to catch up with Samus and it's game over....😵 I think I could add this into my wishlist and it would be the first time I'll be owning this Metroid game for my Switch system. Fact: Metroid Dread was originally plan as a Nintendo DS title way back in mid 2000s, but sadly being cancelled due to technical limitations.
Fourth middle right - 💣WarioWare Get It Together
I was hoping if Warioware could come back for the lastest Switch system and they finally called. However, this game will take a different approach than doing minigames of yourself, but with your characters do it for you. For this latest Warioware game of picking noses, it'll be having one of the characters such as Wario, Mona, Jimmy T, 9-Volt, and others to do on all minigames with their strengths and skills they can managed. My reaction was pretty good knowing that Nintendo is making this a unique idea than doing a same microgame gameplay style from previous ones, but in a fun way. Cross my fingers if I'll be saving this as a digital download version. Like that time I actually got "Warioware Touched!" for my 2DS/3DS handheld system back in April 2016, but sadly lost it of deletion unfortunately....😧 Link Here #3
Fifth middle bottom - Game & Watch The Legend of Zelda
And finally is something that we're hoping to expect during almost halftime of their E3 direct reveal. Knowing this year is The Legend of Zelda 35th Anniversary, you probably hoping they can bring something to celebrate one of the most recognized series run. While it was shocking to know they won't be having plans to do; even for me that I finding baffling for Nintendo would do this. At least they wanted to make up for it by having to released the HD remastered version of Skyward Sword coming next month and giving us a second look for the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel until it'll be released next year....eventually. What's my pick though is the Game & Watch version for The Legend of Zelda; the same thing of what it made for Super Mario and during its 35th Anniversary run last year. For this next one will have 3 related Zelda games: 1987 original, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and a special Game and Watch version of Vermin, but playing as Link as he trying to clobbered the octoroks instead of moles. Looks like it'll be a different take from what the Super Mario version have, but hoping it won't be the limited edition once maybe I could get one of those a try. So for my reaction was pretty alright. 🙂👍🏼
Overall:
Man that is the list for my interests picks I gotten, but after watching Nintendo E3 Direct for this year sure worth it at the end. It was very impressive direct despite of absent games not being showed like Bayonette 3 or Metroid Prime 4, but with other announcements such as Metroid Dread and Mario Party Super Stars does give us something for the win.
What did you think about this list of my interesting picks for Nintendo E3, though? Give yourself some likes and reblogs for this post I bring. Anyways, I'm just gonna check on my P-Pal's secret art trade part for me that I should've done it early. Sorry about making this post that I took hours to finished, @murumokirby360

lmao I heard of the auto save thing and the TM thing, but NOT the Gen 4 national dex only thing. Holy shit. Game Freak (yes I know they’re not the devs this time but I would be shocked if they didn’t orchestrate the game in some way) knows blind fans eat up whatever they shit out no matter what they do so they don’t even care anymore. Frankly I don’t either, I’m done with Pokemon besides non-mobile spinoffs.
What’s their intention with BDSP? It’s a fucking enigma. They won’t let you turn EXP Share off, but they got rid of one of the best QoLs ever introduced? (Reusable TMs.)

After 10 years I FINALLY have the trio! I had Ninten and Lloyd sitting on my shelf for 10 years, TEN, but could never find a decently priced Ana until now (and it was also with the help of a 10 dollar off Ebay coupon)
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get the big Mother 2 figures unfortunately (like hell I’d ever spend more than 50 bucks on a figure especially when there are four of them, and well, they’re always at least 100 each lol) but I’m happy just owning these, these figures are hard to find.

Hot take game theory: the Sinnoh remakes are chibi not to be faithful to the original graphics, but because OTHERWISE they would have had to make the layouts of everything like a fucking hallway like Galar was, and they would have needed to axe the dungeons. They wouldn’t’ve been able to complete the game in time. which if true is lol

Happy September everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying the cooling air and turning colors as I am.
This month I continue to persue my media consumption projects with more new titles brought into my squirrely treehouse.
For Nintendo Switch I got the expanse open world fighter Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2, and a semi-cute melancholic spooky indie game with randomized world layouts every play, GoNNER.
On the Nintendo 3DS I start my Metroid and Pikmin playthroughs, both beginning on Smash Bros 3DS (in accordance to US release date).
With Nintendo New 2DS I continue my retro exploration with Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons, and Super Punch-Out!! Which both I luckily already owned from previous months bundle deals.
I'm not sure which Mobile games, TV shows or movies, and audiobook I'll be starting this month, those are all left to my surprise.
I beat my Mario playthrough on Smash Bros 3DS, and have opened the next Mario 3DS title, the puzzle platformer toys called Minis are back, in Mario VS Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars!
And I have to say I like this way better than its predecessors, it's honestly a huge plus to not have the ability to control the toys at all (other than starting them up), and to sololey focus on the terrain.
I also just finished watching Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, I highly recommend this Netflix cartoon. Season 3 is its true finale, and it's quite beautiful.
Anyway yeah that's my summary for September media update, have a great month friends.

5 level designers I am inspired by
 Max Herngrem-
Max Herngrem is a Swedish former Mojang level designer and current Ubisoft level designer. He has worked on Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons and Skylar and Plux: Adventure on Clover Island. The reason I know about him is because he was one of the first people who came up when I looked up level designers. I do find their work on Minecraft Dungeons and Skylar and Flux quite interesting however and I definitely can take inspiration from it.
Some of his work:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A link to his Twitter account - https://twitter.com/negativesmoke?lang=en
Koichi Hayashida-
Koichi Hayashida is a Japanese director and level designer for Nintendo and was the main level designer for Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World. After his college graduation in 1991 he attended a programming seminar where he, alongside  Koichiro Eto, programmed and directed a game called “Joy Mech Fight”, which Nintendo published after hiring both of them. His philosophy for level design based on “kishōtenketsu”, a narrative structure used in 4-line Chinese poems and 4-panel Japanese comics is something I find really interesting and something I really want to take inspiration from. I found out about him in my first year of college, and he inspired some of my work in that same year.

Shigeru Miyamoto-
Shigeru Miyamoto is a Japanese video game designer, producer and game director for Nintendo. He is most well known for creating the Donkey Kong, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda franchises, as well as a few other well known Nintendo franchises such as Pikmin, F-Zero and Star Fox. He ended up working for Nintendo after his father, through a mutual friend, was able to get a meeting with Nintendo’s 3rd president Hiroshi Yamauchi, where he was able to present some of the toys he had made, which led to him being hired in 1977. It’s hard not to know about Shigeru Miyamoto when involved in any kind of game design and just gaming in general, and his philosophy of if he finds the game fun, then others will also fun, is something that is really interesting and something I would like to aspire to use as well.

Masahiro Sakurai-
Masahiro Sakurai is a Japanese video game director, game designer and songwriter for his own company Sora Ltd. and Nintendo. He’s best Known for creating the Kirby and Super Smash Bros franchises. He was first introduced to the video games industry when he joined HAL Laboratory, where at the age of 19 he created Kirby and directed his first game, Kirby’s Dream Land. Similarly to Shigeru Miyamoto, it’s hard to not know about Sakurai when your a massive Nintendo fan, as he is the main director for Super Smash Bros and was the creator of Kirby. I find his designs for the stages in Super Smash Bros incredible, with both faithful fan service to the original games with references in stages, unique gimmicks and aesthetics and most importantly fun layouts to fight on.

He first joined HAL in 2002, where he started of with doing things such as debugging Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland and designing Kirby Air Ride’s levels. His first game as director was the superb remake of Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra. I found out about Shinya Kumazaki from various discussions with other Kirby fans and from my own personal intrigue of who was currently leading the Kirby franchise. While he doesn’t focus on level design, he is still greatly involved in the direction of them and the ideas he makes for them is something I find greatly interesting, even if he isn’t the one to execute them.
