I think, the craziest thing to me, about how people genuinely believe you can't be a Quirkless Pro-Hero in MHA/BNHA, is that having a Quirk doesn't mean you're invulnerable?

Eraserhead's Quirk only allows him to stop other people's powers, but the fighting? Thats him. The giant jump he does over the stairs? The way he throws people around with his capture weapon?

Endeavor makes hot flames, how did that help when Hood the Nomu bit through his arm? We see that his skin cuts like everyone else's, he gets his scar right before that. Hawks stabbing him in the back to make him go faster? Embedded enough to give him speed but not enough to pierce right through him? He goes toe to toe with the Nomu in the Stain Arc, that's all normal strength!

Stain's Paralysis doesn't make him faster, how was he dodging Iida's speed? How were his reflexes so good he moved past AfO Izuku's strikes?

Mandalay's telepathy, how did that help her agility? Sir Nighteye's Foresight, did it make him strong enough to throw those weights? Did Mirio's Permeation make him stronger even when he lost it and was still beating Overhaul's face in? Rock Lock's stop-motion? Ragdoll's Search?

How did Thirteen's Quirk help when almost murdered? Shouldn't she, as someone with a very strong ability just be faster? Bakugo's Explosion did jack when his heart exploded, right? Why wasn't his body just sturdier? Or do they have normal bodies, like a Quirkless person would have?

He took a piece of metal, heavy as fuck mind you, used it to pile some explosives, jumped on those explosives with the metal and skyrocketed himself over all those other opponents, got to where Bakugou and Todoroki were, landed on them with one foot on each of their backs, used the metal again by slamming it to the ground to cause more explosives to go off and used that to propel himself even further ahead, rolled and got to his feet and took the fuck off and won first place.

I forgot how unhinged he can be, and tbh how much more unhinged he’s currently being.

Anyway Izuku is my favorite character so, sorry y’all, I know everyone is excited about Katsuki

However. Everyone else can talk about Katsuki. I live on my scraps.

Love how Shigaraki tries to get a dig at Izuku about Katsuki like how Monoma did when he unlocked blackwhip, so his immediate reaction is diverge diverge diverge.

Talk about repressed but this is a whole new level.

And his eye bags, they just make him look so exhausted.

I said this before but the chapter after Katsuki woke up Izuku looked relieved to me yes, but also… very scared. Very afraid of Katsuki’s well being.

Especially since, if we compare what Katsuki is doing now (using the pain as an extension of his quirk), you could EASILY COMPARE to when Izuku unlocked danger sense with shigaraki. How concerned and afraid Katsuki was in those chapters.

The thing is though, Katsuki was honest. He was honest that Izuku shouldn’t be doing this on his own, he’s being honest now—“I’m Kacchan of the Bakugou’s!”

He knows how he’s feeling and he’s letting himself feel it.

Somehow, Izuku still isn’t.

Hell, when afo ignores Katsuki, what he does is laugh about how much pain he’s in, but that it’s the key.

Let’s compare how Katsuki is using pain to how Izuku is using pain with danger sense. Let us not forget, danger sense is a physically taxing quirk, much like the rest of ofa. It causes a migraine when in any immediate danger.

Idk about y’all, but I get migraines so bad sometimes I vomit from the buildup of pressure. I can’t focus on anything. I just cant really imagine Izuku using danger sense that well in a fight… yet he does.

And, what exactly is danger sense for? To get out of danger? Maybe to avoid the danger? Ofa is an extension of Izuku’s inner turmoil, every single quirk exhibits this, and it would make so. Much. Sense. For danger sense to mimic his avoidance of emotions and vulnerability.

Katsuki’s quirk as it is now uses pain in a very odd way to me—he doesn’t try to use it to exit himself from the danger or pain, but actively searches for it. The pain is the key.

Danger sense is also a relatively self serving quirk, only really useable for himself. And for him to reference danger sense of all his quirks rn, it would make sense since…

Izuku has been self serving and avoidant since before even this fight. Hell, before even the war arc. Maybe this has gone on his entire life.

I want to hit him so bad for this y’all don’t GET IT.

And, just so we all know, he did this in 348 too. When confronted with emotional conversations, his first thought will always be “but how’s the fastest way I can win this fight?”

BKDK Prompt #1

When Bakugou asked Deku to dinner, he thought it was just part of their friendship healing. The flower’s were a sweet touch, and the candle was typically for dates but he didn’t question it.

Deku probably should’ve caught onto something being odd when Bakugou started holding his hand, sweating nervously. Bur surely it was just Deku’s crush interpreting the situation weirdly, right?

Bakugou kissing him was also just platonic. He’s seen his other friends kiss platonically. Hell, his own friends have kissed him before! Usually on the cheek, but surely this was the same?

And becoming hero partners along with moving in together was just sensible! It was also cheaper to rent a one-bedroom versus a two-bedroom apartment.

Maybe Bakugou proposing after taking him on a day trip filled with all his favorite things should’ve clued him in. But he figured this was just Bakugou being logical. After all, married couples got a lot more benefits than single people. And after Bakugou scared Deku when he got injured, but Deku was unable to make any medical decisions for him, this must’ve been the easiest fix.

Adopting children with Bakugou felt like the next logical step. After all, since they were married this was the only way to have kids. Bakugou and Deku have always wanted kids, and friends have raised kids together before!

What Deku’s getting at, it’s not fully his fault for not noticing he and Bakugou were romantically involved! Bakugou never asked Deku to be his boyfriend!

I like this early set up for parallels between Iida and Uraraka, who want to be heroes in their own right and not stuck in Izuku’s shadow. It’s too bad that there wasn’t much done with this after this arc. What’s also unfortunate is that Izuku has no idea that either of them see him this way. He just sees that they are rejecting him for reasons he doesn’t understand. (There was so much unrealized potential for interpersonal conflict for these three here)

Unfortunately, Uraraka’s timing was bad. Iida’s moment to challenge Izuku involved teaming up with arguably the strongest person in the class. Uraraka chose to respond to Iida by refusing Izuku’s help right before having to fight the other strongest guy in class in a one on one matchup.

While her motives were understandable, this was not a smart decision on her part. For a character supposedly in this for the money, Uraraka is pretty straight-laced

U.A. Sports Festival arc(part 3)

Two weeks have passed and the sports festival is finally here. Thanks to Nezu, security has been beefed up, and thanks to the HPSC it's still being broadcasted.

Class 1-B waiting room:

Monoma stands up on a bench, calling to his classmates, Kendo sighs and gets ready to deal with him but Yanagi stops her saying maybe they should hear him out, Kendo crosses her arms but agrees. Monoma smiles and tells his classmates that they should work together for the sports festival, you know get their names out there. Midoriya looks down at his hands before nodding, he tells Monoma that this is a good idea, it would show that they can work together to the pro heroes who might be watching, Monoma smirks before stepping down and patting Midoriya on the shoulder, telling him that he better not do anything stupid, Midoriya smiles nervously and tells him that he'll try not to.

As the head to leave the waiting room they bump into class 1-A who was also leaving their respective waiting room, before Midoriya can react, Bakugou glares at him telling him to stay out of his way before walking away, Kirishima apologizes for Bakugou's behavior, before he runs off to go follow him. Fukidashi asks Midoriya if he's knows what Bakugou's problem is and Midoriya shakes his head, not that he doesn't know the answer, he just doesn't want to say it. As him and Fukidashi talk Midoriya catches Todoroki looking at him before quickly turning and walking away.

Sports Festival begins:

Class 1-B walks out and they hear Present Mic announcing them as The second hero course class, so class 1-A must already be out here.

Midnight walks up into the stage in her regular hero costume and starts to speak, Kuroiro blinks before his face turns a shade of red and covers his face with his hands, Awase and Kendo pat him on his shoulders, Midnight asks this year's player representative Bakugou, he puts his hands in his pockets as he walks up onto the stage, he leans over the microphone and speaks into it, telling everyone that he's gonna win. Midnight is surprised by his statement and asks him if maybe he wants to say something else and Bakugou says no way would he say anything else, the other class all boo and shout about how cocky Bakugou is being, and Bakugou tells them all to shut the hell up.

Class 1-A look horrified, Shiozaki starts praying, which causes Kaminari to pat her on the shoulder, while Iida yells at Bakugou for being unsportsmanlike yet again.. Midoriya wonders if the two are friends or not as they seem to hang out quite a bit.. Midnight clears her throat trying to get the attention off of class 1-A, she says that was an.. interesting speech, before she announces the preliminaries, which is an obstacle race, which is nearly 4km around the entire stadium.

The Obstacle race:

As the obstacles race starts everyone starts to run but they run into the first challenge the exit of the stadium. Midoriya watches Kuroiro merge himself into the shadows and escapes the tight corridor, and tries to help Pony out of the crowd, he also sees Kaibara trying to force his way through while holding Tsuburaba's arm.

Then the floor freezes and Midoriya looks up to see Todoroki skidding across the ice and makes his escape, along with all of class 1-A.

Juzo softens his ice with his quirk allowing for some people to get unstuck and make it out of the corridor, once he makes sure all of his classmates made it put he squats down and hardens the ground again, before running to catch up with his classmates. Juzo runs up next to Midoriya, and Midoriya thanks him for the help and Juzo's teeth curve slightly into what is probably a smile, before he runs off.

The second obstacle is revealed: a whole lot of the villain robots, the ones they had to fight during the Entrance exam, are blocking their way. Todoroki almost instantly freezes many of the villain robots with his ice quirk defeating them. Todoroki warns the others that the villain robots aren't stable, and just as he says that the robots come crashing down, block the way for the other students, including Todoroki's own classmates.

Rin steps backwards and tells his classmates that they're gonna have to break they're way though the villain robots as he summons scales from his skin to cover his arm, but before he can starts to destroy them, Kirishima breaks out of the robot saying some about how someone without his quirk could've been seriously injured, and just like clockwork, Tetsutetsu breaks out of the robot as well, saying almost the same exact thing, the two look at eachother before Tetsutetsu accuses Kirishima of copying his quirk. Midoriya sighs before he sees Kamakiri slice one of the robots in half before yelling at his classmates to hurry the fuck up.

Midoriya nods rushing through, before he is confronted by some of the robots, he decides that now is time to put his head to use, he dodges an attack, before grabbing a piece of metal from a destroyed robot that half sunken in the ground, Juzo's doing, Midoriya slices off it's head, not wanting to use his quirk to early in the sports festival. Midoriya decides to keep the metal and use it as a shield and runs ahead as students (most from 1-A and 1-B) start rushing past the villain robots and to the next obstacle.

The second stage of the obstacle race: The fall, a canyon that must be trekked by walking on ropes.

Midoriya notice Bakugou and Todoroki running ahead, with Yaoyorozu, Tokage, and Juzo not to far behind.. Bakugou is keeping up with recommendation students.

Kaibara rushs forward still dragging Tsuburaba along, Muttering something about him not being useless and how he won't leave one of his classmates behind, he hesitates before telling Tsuburaba to get on his back, before he uses his quirk to practically skate across the ropes.

Kodai squats down and enlarges one of the ropes before waving her classmates over, but before anyone can even use her path, a girl in support gear tells everyone to watch her as she jumps off the edge using her gear to help her cross the canyon.

Most people, including Midoriya, use the pathway that Kodai made, but a couple of them find their own ways, Kuroiro uses his quirk to jus merge into the shadows and pop out on the other side, Pony uses her horns as skates as flies herself across, and of course a lot of class 1-A students use their quirks to get across.

The final obstacle: the mine field, even if the mines aren't deadly they are still pretty scary.

Midoriya notices that due to the mine field Todoroki's lead is slowly diminishing, as he tries to not step in one of the mines. Bakugou, who is unaffected by the mines, blasts his way past Tokage, Yaoyorozu, and Juzo, straight towards Todoroki, and the two start to scuffle for first place.

Midoriya tenses up when he realizes how far ahead the leads are, he can't catch up to them on foot, Midoriya looks around and notices as a girl from the support course accidently steps on one of the mines which launches he backwards.. the mines launch people, Midoriya comes up with an idea. He starts digging up the mines and putting them in a pile, he places himself on the metal shield before jumping onto the plie he created launching himself forward, blasting himself into the lead, he swears he heard Tokage cheer him on when he blew past her, Yaoyorozu, and Juzo, did Juzo take his shirt off.. that doesn't matter.

Bakugou and Todoroki stop fighting eachother once they notice Midoriya in the lead, immediately running to catch up to him, Todoroki using his ice and Bakugou using his explosions, they almost overtake Midoriya as he loses momentum, Midoriya places his feet on their backs before slamming the metal shield onto the mines launching himself into the lead again, much to the anger of Bakugou and Todoroki as dust blows into their faces forcing them to stop for a moment. Midoriya hits the ground abandoning the shield, he's made it out of the mine field, so he no longer needs it, he uses the speed the blast gave him to sprint across the finish line, he finished in first place, much to his and All Mights happiness.

Midoriya watches as the other students cross the finish line, Todoroki got second, Bakugou got third, Yaoyorozu got fourth, Juzo got fifth.. and yes he did take his shirt off, and Tokage got sixth, so on and so on.

Yes I did change up the order of things, to me it makes no sense that the recommendation students weren't higher up in canon (-Juzo)

Fun Fact: Like in canon, Mineta tried to stick himself to Yaoyorozu's shirt but she took it off, and Juzo notices giving her, his shirt to cover up.

Yaoyorozu is smart so I think it's understandable that she'd make a smart move like that, plus she has a sport bra and also can make herself a new shirt, it makes no sense for her to just let Mineta do that, y'know.

Marvel, MCU/MHA Crossover - Reincarnation

Inspired by: Oracle {by} Miss Anne Thropy (Rahndom).

Agent Phil Coulson who was alive when quirks appeared in 2014 is reincarnated as Midoriya Izuku.

After a life threatening situation Midoriya started remembering things of another life. Gaining memories and skills from it all until the two are completely aligned.

(Avengers and the New York Battle would have happened in 2014 instead of 2012.)

You could add S.H.I.E.L.D and Marvel's heroes to the wars that happened when quirks appeared.

I think with Coulson-like thoughts that Mido would lose some admiration for All Might.

Y'know, not getting him medical attention, leaving him on a rooftop and crushing his dreams, telling him a national security level secret that could put him in danger, and etc.

Coulson would not put up with that shit from what I remember lol. His Coulson thoughts would be like, ‘Cap is cooler anyways’.

Shinsou could be like his Melinda May and Aizawa is his Nick Fury lmao.

Who would be Mido's Skye/Daisy tho? Eri?

Anyway those two don't have to be reincarnated but the similarities! I think he'd be like, ‘they remind me of so and so’ and be all bittersweet.
