Leashed to the floor by a short lenght of chain. The chain has just enough give to let them scramble back just a couple inches, low to the ground on their hands and knees, when they get scared. They can't even look up from how hard the unforgiving leash pulls their neck back towards the ground unless they stay where they are supposed to, right where whumper wants them to be.

#imagining big sad eyes filled with fear down on the floor like a dog #they instinctively try to back away and the chain snaps loudly #maybe they hold onto it with both hands #either pulling on it desperately or just as a small comfort #whump #my writing #whump writing #whump prompt #whumpee #fear #chained #leashed #pet whump #captivity whump #i fucking adore the mental image of a sad little guy in the middle of a dark room chained to the centre of the room #in my head they aren't restrained any other way because it don't see the reason to leash them if they can't even pull away #i do also enjoy an ankle chain #but i prefer it when their ankle is chained to whumper's bed #just!!! they are in bed sleeping and it would almost look idyllic if it wasn't for that one tiny detail.......#the chain innocently peeking out from under the blanket and running down to the side all the way to the floor #restrained #it does things to me

a random curiosity I had while trying to fall asleep last night:

[please note that “multiple types” options mean more than one of the TYPES of pets listed here (such as a cat and a dog or two significantly-differently-sized dogs), not multiple individuals the same type (such as two cats or two dogs within the same size category)]

(if you have a different type of pet or multiple types, feel free to elaborate in the tags!)

I’ll leave the exact parameters for what counts as a small vs mid-size vs large dog up to voter discretion

edit: for extra clarification, the “depends on the pet” button means stuff like I have both a cat and a dog but the cat is allowed on the bed and the dog isn’t, etc. (again feel free to elaborate in the tags)

#as for my own answer: I have a cat and of course she’s allowed on the bed #she doesn’t sleep there *every* night but she does pretty often #sometimes she’ll be there when I fall asleep but leave by the time I wake up #other times she won’t be there when I fall asleep but I’ll wake up to her curled up on my legs or smth #and yet other times she’ll be there when I go to sleep and will still be right there in the same spot when I wake up #…but I know there are people out there who don’t like their pets on the bed #and I was thinking hmm well Maisie’s pretty small; if I had a bigger animal there wouldn’t be enough room so perhaps that plays a factor #though my brother does allow his mid-size dog on his so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I go into the bathroom and all my cats see is this

#for context i have 3 kittens in spare bedroom to quarantine them #(there's currently no bed in there)#and their litterbox and food is set up in the bathroom connected to it #problem is that that bathroom is also connected to MY room. the bedrooms are separated by a wall.#so when i get up in the morning and go piss i also wake up all the kittens #and at least 1 always comes into the bathroom to get pet by me #and sometimes they also get in the litter box and use it or pretend to use it #only when im using the toilet do they do that tho #This morning all 3 of them came in #and hilariously. all 3 decided at the exact same fucking time to get in the litterbox while i was pissing #keep in mind the bathroom is pretty small so the litterbox is quite literally at my feet #and theyre all squatting down to pretend to shit. they barely fit in there together #weird little fuckers

good news everyone…. i have a bed frame now 🫶

i still need to decorate the walls and do some more organizing, but !!!! this is my favorite bed frame out of my grandpa’s house, and i’m so happy to have it!

#it’s been a while since i got to experience any Joy when moving into a new place #well. it’s not a new place. i’m just moving back into my childhood home #but it’s different now for a number of reasons. and i’m happy that i get to make this place my own #i’m so happy i get to set up my stuff just how i want and utilize the space #it’s starting to feel more and more like home again. smiles big and wide #gear diary #no id #on an even more personal and completely unrelated note i’m going through some horrific stuff irl #so i’m trying to stay positive and cling to the good things and the things which are in my control #augh. my heart hurts so much and i feel depressed a lot of the time #BUT. doing stuff like this helps. i will make this home My Home again if it’s the last thing i do #i just remembered that i used to share this room with both my siblings when we were really small #three twin beds up against the back wall…. i slept in the middle. middle sibling behavior ngl #and i had the highly coveted pillow pet that would light up and cast stars on the ceiling at the end of my bed #☹️#i miss being a kid.#ANYWAY THIS IS A HAPPY POST.
