i think the thing that drives me insanest is that like. aizo and yujiro both have reasons to hide their true selves from people. they're idols. they have to present a charming smile and act like perfect princes for their fans. but also, they both like. have really bad issues that make it hard for them to be honest or trusting or vulnerable (yujiro has MASSIVE insecurity issues and aizo has. uh. familial trauma that isn't helped by him being an idol)

but like. they show their true selves around each other and hiyori. they trust each other. hiyori went from hating them from their awful first impression to seeing their true selves and liking them for it. the three of them see each other's good points and admire each other and support each other... hiyori got to a point where she can tell at a glance when aizo and yujiro are smiling genuinely and when they're acting...

and like. do you want to think about what it means when two boys who are used to being adored for a fake smile and a fake act face the fact that hiyori sees their bad sides and their acts and likes them anyways.... do you want to think about genuine love between the three of them, when two of them never expected to be loved for anything but a facade. do you want to think about how aizo and yujiro act like normal high school boys around hiyori and like. even though hiyori thinks they're cool and handsome and princely when they're acting, when she gets a picture of the three of them together and aizo and yujiro are smiling genuinely, she says 'it doesn't show them as idols, it shows two normal high school boys' and then she calls it a treasure and frames it....
