My Turtles of Grayskull 'Druthers
Okay, since the line is apparently not a limited-concept run but is going to instead run till the doors fall off, I'm gonna lay out my hopes and dreams for sweet-as-heck dumb conceptual mashups.
Lets stick some silly chocolate and some stupid-fun peanut butter together and make a decent candy and an awesome cereal.
I might be hungry.
Anyhow, lets make some monsters!
Ace Duck
I love the Tales of the Gold Monkey-inspired pilot Ace Duck more than the next guy, but this is MOTU we're dealin' with, we need ARCHIE Ace Duck.
He's literally born to be here. Basic body, skeletor feet, reuse the April O'Neil wings, little red thong or trunks (from the wrasslin' line), plus he can get stratos's little arm wings, and an alt head with the Stratos Mask on (evoking a lucha dore mask).
Ty-Gor - NInjor / Tigerclaw (but green!)
Ninjor gets mutated with Eternian Tiger DNA to become Ty-Gor.
Not limiting myself to the Fred Wolf era here. Basically its Ninjor with a Tigerclaw head (masked and two-eyed, unmasked and eyepatched), only with the green with orange stripes eternian tiger coloration. He gets a terror-claws skeletor claw, an eternian six-shooter (later usable for Rio-Blast) and the beastliest feet they can muster.
Mutant Evil-Lyn
Seeking to empower herself with this new "mutation" magic, Evil-Lyn made a potion of mutagen and Mantisaur venom. Ironically not her worst scheme.
Mantenna pelvis with new insect legs, Evil-Lyn torso with humanoid and mantisaur-mutant heads (still wearing her tiara as a mantisaur), slip-over mantis-claw weapons.
Kurai-Khan
I mean, it's not like she hasn't been here before. Lore establishes the Eternian magic gives her full control over her snake-form, and the ability to command the snake men... save for the Ratsnake King.
Deluxe figure, reusing a LOT of Lady Slither, But using Stephanie McMahon legs and torso, some new snake-gauntlets and a swappable set of heads. Snake-head has the spit-fx feature from Kobra Khan, flared cobra hood. And a katana, obviously.
General Pig-Iron - Pig-Head / General Traag (By way of Rokkon)
Krang's mutagenic experiments continue, this time he combines Sun-Man's Pig-Head and the Rock-Soldiers' DNA to make one stone-tough pigheaded warmonger.
The sculpt is mostly Rokkon, with a new stony pighead-face and more Traag-y chest (with ammo bandolier to mimic Pig-Head, 'natch)
The Ratsnake King - Rat King / King Hiss
Disappointed by the Rat-King's failures, Skeletor fuses him with the shed skin of King Hiss via sorcery and good old fashioned mutagen. The new horror can command serpents that were beyond even King Hiss's reach.
Ratsnake King uses the King hiss snake parts, with a new head & chest armor built on a mummy-esq reinterpretation of Rat King, snake-y crossbow and staff. Give him the Reptilax tail so he's a little snakey even in his 'human' form, he's a mutant, after all.
Mutagen-Man-E-Faces
This idea is from @skeletor-enjoyer who posted it in the replies to my previous glow-up post on this dumb-as-heck (affectionate) line.
This one's easy. New torso that allows for the Man-E-faces gimmick and a clear torso that can hold a gooey guts insert. Human face looks like nonmutant Seymour Gutz, Robot face replaced with foot-soldier (toonstyle) face, monster face is a hybrid MM/MEF monster face.
New limbs that will later be reused for Slushhead. Multiple replacement hands/limbs (clawful hand, etc) to simulate mutation/shapeshifting powers.
Foot 'Sploders - Foot soldiers / Blast-Attack
Krang: You know what Skeletoooorrruup? I like the iDEa of robots that are SUPPOSED to exPLooowwddee! Why can't YOU be this kind of go-getter Saaaaakiiii?
Shredder: You always undermine me in front of the crossover villains!
Skeletor: Don't stop on my account! I haven't had this much fun since Grizzlor fell into the slime pit! NYAH!
Excuse to make a somewhat functional Blast-Attack chest. Foot Soldier head with cartoon bomb in place of the foot symbol, long forearm sculpt (useful for 200X Beast Man) with arm-shield accessories. Tons of weapons. Legs from various wrasslers' with pants/boots.
Doctor Orkocutt the Fugilock
Orko uses his magic to fix the Fugitoid, but the spell goes awry, merging them into a single magi-technical absentminded genius. They work better this way, but trouble is bound to follow.
Orko Body, with premolds for a Netflix Orko in Classicverse arms, and a new fugiod-in-a-wizard-hat-head, with many many exchangeable hands.
Mutant Buzz-Off - Buzz-off/Killer Bee
A partially-translucent mutant like He-Man and the other corrupted hero mutants, only Buzz-Off is... kinda wild... wild enough I had to photoshop, albeit in a Q&D...
The basic idea is mutant Buzz-Off uses Mantenna's legs, Mosquitor's torso, a new head that's still compatible with the Mosquitor-grabber, Buzz-Off's left arm, Clawful's right, alt head of grimacing half-killer-bee Buzz_off. The goo is green or purple instead of red, for a mutagen-feature.
If compatible with the Mantenna legs, using the Buzz-Off feet is preferable, the same with the Skeleton Warrior arm and the left arm.
Bionaceraton - Triceraton / Bionatops
Ancient power arises as a Preternian ancestor to the Triceratons is awakened.
I mean, once again we pull out the Andre the Giant mold, this time giving it a tail and a Triceraton head, and slightly remolded chest armor. Garnish with sci-fi guns, put out in a handsome green colorscheme.
Mutant She-Ra - She-Ra / Swiftwind
Having last been in contact with Swiftwind before exposure to the mutagen, She-Ra's becomes an uncontrollable mutant Pegasus.
Am I suggesting they put a Unicorn head and Sorceress Wings on She-Ra, possibly with new 'buff gal' limbs that would make a Netflix-inspired Scorpia Possible? Yes. Yes I am. She's got a unicorn-horn spear weapon and is filled with a horselike rage.
Optikk
Look, its the TMNT crossover. You are required to have at least one of the New Adventures Mutants there, and Optikk is the most on-brand for the concept.
You can make him out of mostly Roboto Parts with a new armor piece for the collar and a new eyeball-head. Or just make the collar lock onto the head joint and have a free-spinning eye.
Mona Lis-Ra - Mona Lisa / She-Ra
Someone has to use the power sword while She-Ra's a nightmare mutant abomination!
It's pretty straightforward, She-Ra torso and upper arms/legs, new finned female lower arms and legs, new tailed female pelvis, new head. She-Ra's gear plus some extras to be shape-shifted forms for the sword.
Savanti Romeo and Renet
They're just there They're already designed for this world. To justify it, they have... uh... Savante has the dragon blast dragon that was used with Ricky the Steamboat Dragon, and Renet has... uh.. the time staff thing Gwildor used. Yeah, that's the ticket!
Bonus Round: Obligatory A-Character Variants:
TechnoWizard Dontatello - Backdoor Donatello #1 figure.
Anti-Eternia Raphael - Archie Comics fans know why.
Mutant Teela - She's a snake, again! This time give her a real snake head and a tail guys.
Mutant Skeletor - Goat Skull head, goat legs.
That's it for now, but even though many of these are a stretch, I'm sure it demonstrates the blood isn't nearly squeezed from this stone.

Skeletor's magic in the New Adventures series was dedicated to pink lasers and wacky costumes in about an even ratio.
Why has Skeletor’s inexplicable cowboy outfit never been made a toy?
Look at how baffled the others are that he was able to scrounge one up.

#motu#motu revelation#motu revolution#my stupid thoughts#I'm talking about Flogg just so we're clear#not having the mutants when there's this Skeletor who was so heavily inspired by the NA design would be blasphemous#and I mean#we got Gwildor (I believe that's how his name is spelled) we can have at least SOME of the mutants#I'm not asking for the whole crew that would be too much to hope for#but AT LEAST could we have Flogg and maybe Slushhead

Masters yet Undelivered
This section comes last because it's the one that's the least interesting in general concept, it's the stuff that's part of the MOTU verse that deserves a figure in Origins, and its just an extended...
So you're warned.
Some I've already addressed above. Rio-Blast, for instance. And the first major section has been mentioned several times. The first major hole Is New Adventures:
Now, this is one of those things were you scatter the guys throughout, but provided they weren't in a new figure scale/format (which was New Adventure's true sin), the characters will be easily welcomed in. They work in Masterverse a lot at least.
The He-Man and Skeletors are obligatory, but at least the Skeletors are interesting and the He-Man is relatively inoffensive. Just look at that Reb Brown lookin' dork.
The Mutants, however, deserve a shake, especially Slushhead, Optikk and Lizzor, but to a lesser degree Flogg and Hoove. Show-only characters like Crita are also viable.
The downside of New Adventures is it means a lot of use of limbs from characters like Roboto and Horde Trooper or else a bunch of new tooling, but it keeps your heavies in circulation and gives you some options. And once you're down to first-minicomic type character picks you can't turn up your nose at Optikk.
Plus, c'mon, give me this freak. Sagitar is everything that makes Thirty-Thirty uncomfortable, multiplied by the power of abs. So many abs.
2002 doesn't give us much new to work with from the toyline.
That was its original sin back in the day, but it is full of cool variant armors that can be used whenever they need a He-Man or Skeletor to fill in some slots, some good options:
There are a few notables, however. The first is the alternate versions of Orko and Prince Adam, which are both different enough to warrant making. And Adam would be a source for parts for characters like Netflix-Bow.
You also have the slime pit monsters.
Beyond that, give Skeletor back his Velociraptor you mountebanks!
From the show you get a few more nuggets. Young Evil Lyn has a good look, as does Egyptian-style Sorceress,
And you've got a few show-based guys that got some play in classics but not since, like Dactus, Calix, and Chief Carnivus.
Now, the trick with these show-only guys is they need "retro-fitting" to the OG line sensibilities. Brighter colors, some nod to an action feature, etc.
Dare/He-Ro and the Guys from His Wacky Pitch
So in the 90s there was a pitch for He-Man to have adopted a feral boy who takes up the mantle of the power sword and becomes He-Ro, with a mix of returning characters and new folks.
The advantage of this is there's enough bones there to get the fanbase interested, but you've got more or less free reign in finishing the very light design-work. So in essence it's an invitation to make a host of new characters and have them be nostalgic too.
Both She-Ra's and the Netflix MOTU
Both She-Ra series are woefully underrepresented in Origins, basically JUST She-Ra has popped up, which is baffling.
Now, 90% of this is because I want a decent action figure of Netflix Trap-Jaw, but there's no reason to not "1982ize" the Netflix casts if there aren't rights issues involved.
At the very least, a MOTU Origins Scorpia in the Netflix vein is a must, even if she has to be hybridized with her OG self to get around rights arglebargle.
Not to mention the horde (I am hilarious) of Filmation She-Ra characters that didn't get toys at all. Scorpia being one of them, but there's also Shadow Weaver, Sea-Hawk, Vultak, Octavia, Huntra...
And now I'm out of pics.
Guys I think should be in MOTU: Origins
My love of MOTU Origins is not very hidden, and they've hit tons of great points, but there's so much further to go. So, here's my rundown of what I'd want to see joint the MOTU Origins lineup.
Section 1: Give it the Sun-Man Treatment.
Blackstar
The proto-He-Man of yore, Blackstar as an IP is probably well within the price range for Mattel to sweep up to sprinkle into the line the same way Sun Man's universe was.
For advantages, it's VERY aesthetically compatible and has several strong character designs. It's no more obscure than Sun-Man, and I want hordes of those imp-demons, damnit.
BraveStarr
Again, a no-brainer. Find the character rights holders, get the rights. New Texas is out there in space, use it as an excuse to do MOTU:Origins versions of the New Adventures designs ("space travel" He-Man) and Rio-Blast. If they already own all the rights then them not having already done this is toyetic malpractice.
Advantages are obvious. BraveStarr rocks. You have a POC lead hero, Tex-Frickin'-Hex, and Thirty-Thirty, who would be well worth the extra tooling to make a deluxe figure of (you can always do an upgraded Stridor repaint). You would scatter them through waves to keep from overloading with the Space Cowboy thing, but def a winner.
Also, Rio-Blast. Rio-Blast, Yo.
Skeleton Warriors
It was never strong enough to stand on its own. Give Skeletor some friends. 'Nuff Said.
One-Off Guest Stars
This section is a little different, as these wouldn't be permanent integrations, but more fun crossover one-offs rather than being a whole theme. Characters pulled from other Mattel-owned lines of the past:
Mojo Ken and Thunderpunch Barb-E
Here's the thing. This line is dead stupid, and should remain that way. Give Ken two heads (one 'bad' Mojo head and one 80s toy Ken style one) give Barbie weirdly plausible MOTU gear, the joke alone is worth the parts reuse. Best if nestled in with some Princess of Power characters.
Lets give Captain Power a hand, folks.
Its that live action TV show that interacted with the vehicles that landed in the uncanny valley between family TV and advert-traintment that never quite works!
Captain Power and Lord Dread are pretty much the only ones you'd want to hit, maybe the Soaron Sky Sentry. And really, they're not that hard to do. Captain Power could easily be made with Roboto legs and upper arms, any number of gloved hands, a new chest armor and a new head.
Any newly tooled pieces would be useful in MOTU movie and new adventure characters.
The Construx Alien demands your respect.
I know it makes no sense, I don't care, it's my list. He's amazing and needs to be big and buff with a weird hand.
Major Matt Mason has nothing better to do.
This set's a stretch, as it would require a chunk of new tooling, but again, maybe worth it for the New Adventures and She-Ra applications, plus hey, Astronaut prequel Biff Bestman, Evelyn Powers, and Captain Marlena parts!
He-Man's space-man friend is a role that could still be filled.
Next Up... Crossover Potential.

You may be right... but I think my point still stands either way. The Mutants were a thing weren't they?
Imagine how fun a MotU series would be if Skeletor weren't an antagonist, but instead a "domesticated villain".
They kinda did something similar in the Classics-Line comics already, so there's already a precedent for it in the franchise.
In the Classics line, after a trip to the past, He-Man finally manages to capture Skeletor.
They return to the Eternia of their present, but Eternia has been taken over by the Horde and all the Masters (and a number of Evil Warriors) are hiding out in caves. They need to pool their forces if they're going to win their planet back from the occupying Horde forces.
This leads to an uneasy truce between Skeletor and the Masters.
During the battle, Adora trusts Skeletor at her side, and is confident that the three of them (her, Adam, and Uncle Skeletor) can not just push back the Horde, but defeat Hordak permanently.
But Skeletor knocks his niece and nephew out of the way and takes on Hordak on his own.
This ends up being a dumb move on Skeletor's part as he is almost immediately injured and nearly killed by Hordak.
His niece and nephew rush to his aid.
He then "pulls a Skeletor", steals some life-force from a nearby dinosaur, and fucks off to outer space. Seemingly become a villain again.
Except, the next time we see Skeletor, he is once again working with Adam and Adora.
They're heading to Horde World to take down Horde Prime and topple the Horde Empire.
And when get to Prime, all three of them face him together.
Adam and Skeletor are teleported away in the middle of the battle though, so there's no real victory.
Upon finding themselves on yet another alien planet Skeletor does another one of his classic double crosses and he and He-Man are enemies again, and the remain enemies until Skeletor's death.
But at the end, his not vindictive or spiteful. Skeletor doesn't vow to come back as a ghost and haunt Adam, or curse him and his descendants, or anything like that.
They actually share an odd moment of connection. With Skeletor admitting that Adam was right and that his death is not Adam's fault.
I honestly think a full length series (either cartoon or comic) of Masters of the Universe where Skeletor is working with the Masters would be a fantastic story.
And it's not like the MotU franchise is hard pressed to find villains to replace him. There's Hordak, Horde Prime, King Hiss, the Unnamed One, Count Marzo, and Lady Slyther. Any of which would work as a decent main villain.
I just wanna see Adam and Adora fighting alongside their weird uncle, watching each other's backs and exchanging witty remarks.
And maybe every now and again they have to stop him from doing something horrible and gently remind him that, "No, no, we don't do that sort of thing, put their spleen back in their body and close the wound with you magic."
