Owen Grady owns a flip phone, and no digital footprint (no social media accounts, digital purchases are forwarded to a post office instead of his home address, owns a laptop solely to store his ethology research). His military career in DEVGRU still bleeds into his civilian life, years later, details which seem small, but actually allude to his high-functioning paranoia and strong value for privacy.
He owns a handful of phones, some of which he has kept like a pack-rat despite no longer needing them. A Samsung FlipShot SCH-U900, and a Solio Hybrid 1000 environmentally friendly universal solar charger. Used to have Samsung burner phones as a career soldier, a habit developed during his work with DEVGRU’s black squadron. Two satellite phones, as their encryption services also proved useful: an IRIDIUM, SEAFARER satellite phone he bought in Kuwait; sleek, robust, waterproof, includes P2P phone-for-free via encryption. Thuraya is another satellite phone he bought in Dubai; an Arabic product, dual sim cards, and some of the features on this specific model are not available in the North American model due to government regulations (able to disable the GPS on command and P2P conversations, unlimited text messages). The majority of these items were bought during his tours, requiring mobile phones to speak to assets and handle personal businesses with the Grady Ranch that was left to him by his late grandfather.
Owen also tends to strictly use encrypted email services, or disposable email address services such as TrashMail and CounterMail. With no digital footprint, Owen has almost no understanding of current online trends, memes, or streaming entertainments, and he is disinterested in learning about them, unless it’s for the benefit of a friend. But his time in the Navy has made him familiar with using acronyms (some of which directly came from U.S. military jargon).

Which Pickleball Paddle is Right for You? Read Our Reviews
Playing pickleball, a sport growing quickly is like a mix of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It's fun for people of all ages. Pickleball paddles are a crucial sports component and can improve your performance. It can be hard to choose a paddle when there are so many. We have in-depth reviews to help you make a choice. This piece will discuss the different kinds of pickleball paddles and how to choose the right one for your game.
Understanding Pickleball Paddles
You need to know the basics of pickleball paddles before you read reviews. The whole face of these paddles is made of graphite, alloy, or wood. The core under the face of the paddle gives it shape and lets it move. The paddle's weight, grip size, and shape all help players choose one that fits their style and needs.
Factors to Consider in Choosing a Pickleball Paddle:
Core Material
The material of the paddle can have a big effect on how well it works. Graphite paddles are light and easy to move around, making them popular with players who want to balance speed and control. On the other hand, composite paddles offer a good mix of power and control, making them good for players who want to do many different things. Even though they are less popular, wooden paddles have a classic feel and are often preferred by casual players.
Weight
Another important thing to think about is the paddle's weight. Lighter paddles are the best choice for finesse players who depend on accurate shots and quick movements because they are easier to move and control. On the other hand, heavier paddles give you more power and security, so they're good for players who like to play aggressively. For the best success on the court, you must find the right balance between weight and maneuverability.
Grip Size
The grip size greatly affects how comfortable and easy it is to control the paddle during play. If your grip is too small, your hands may tire and lose control. If your grip is too big, your wrists may be able to move slowly and easily. Choose a paddle that fits your hand and has a grip size that lets you grasp on tight without restricting your movement.
Our Detailed Reviews
Here are some of the best pickleball paddles on the market, according to our paddle profile reviews at My Pickleball Haven:
JOOLA - Ben Johns Hyperion CFS
Ben Johns, a world winner in pickleball, helped design the JOOLA Hyperion CFS, the best tennis shoe on the court. This paddle has a cutting-edge carbon fiber surface (CFS) and a carefully designed honeycomb core, giving it great power and control. The Hyperion CFS mixes speed, spin, and touch so that you can hit lightning-fast volleys or precise drop shots.
Six Zero - Black Diamond
The Six Zero Black Diamond paddle stands out because it was made to work at its best. This paddle's carbon fiber face and polypropylene core give it great strength and control. The diamond-shaped design makes it easier to move around so players can react quickly and effectively to situations on the court. You'll be better at both baseline wins and careful strokes at the net with our Six Zero Black Diamond.
Onix - Z5 Graphite
Pickleball fans love how well the Onix Z5 Graphite is made and what great materials it uses. This paddle's graphite face and Nomex honeycomb body make it strong and precise. The widebody shape has a large sweet spot that lets off-center hits go without affecting the performance of every swing. The Onix Z5 Graphite paddle works best for both starters and experts.
Oneshot - Flipshot
Oneshot Flipshot paddles are both new and good at what they do. This paddle's carbon fiber and fiberglass mix makes it very responsive and easy to control spin. The special "Flipshot" technology lets players change the paddle's weight distribution on the fly to fit any style of play or court conditions. With the Oneshot Flipshot, you can take over the game with powerful explosions or sneaky drop shots.
Bread & Butter - Cookie Drip
Get the Bread & Butter Cookie Drip if you want to paddle better. This paddle was handmade with care and is useful and beautiful. The Cookie Drip's composite face and polypropylene body give it good power and control. The "Drip" form looks great on the court, making it easier to grip and spin the ball. The Bread & Butter Cookie Drip is great whether you're playing for fun or against other people.

VISCO Collection Review Cons: - Ganryu has the annoying trope of when an enemy gets close, no matter what you cannot have time to turn around and kill them. - Each game has a tutorial but it's just an auto-played scene. - AndroDunos has many cheap deaths and you can die by hitting the walls and floor. - Cannot rebind controls. - No games have their own menus and settings like difficulties etc. - You can only reset the game and not the level/race you are currently on. - NEO Driftout is really sensitive and you cannot change the camera zoom. Today’s mix:
Code4109 by DJ Krush 2000 Trip Hop / Illbient / Hip Hop / Abstract Hip Hop / Turntablism
I think this might be the greatest hip hop and trip hop mix I've ever heard in my fucking life. Like, I know we haven't found a way to slow down the passage of time yet, but musically, this feels like the closest that anyone's ever gotten to accomplishing it. From start to finish of this hour-plus masterpiece, Tokyo's DJ Krush shows us why he's simply one of the greatest jazzy hip hop and trip hop musicians to have ever produced and spun records. The man digs deep into his own notoriously vast collection and pulls out an unbelievable set of obscure tracks, ranging from boom bap raps and beats you're likely to have never heard before, to super chill Japanese jazz, to even a blend in which he incorporates a Bulgarian orchestra and choir. And Krush manages to make every single song on this sound as if they were actually made in his own image.
Molasses-slow, brain-frozen, on-another-planet, stoned-to-the-point-of-seeing-stars type of stuff; the absolute pinnacle in hip hop and trip hop haziness; a desert island DJ mix if there ever was one.
Listen to the full mix here.
