#slowly slowly making blog renovations.....

Hellooooo first time requesting on your blog!
So for a long time I've wondered what it would be like if NB Satan & OG Satan were to meet & converse with each other. How would they react to each other? What questions would they ask? How would they respond? Etc. I was wondering how you would imagine this interaction would work?
Also, is it okay if I claim 🦄 anon?
A/N: Ooh that's such a neat idea. You know those “talk to your past/future self" tropes? I almost see OG Satan leading NB Satan through the present timeline version of House of Lamentation. It gives him a glimpse of what life will be like later, how things will change and what will still be the same. I kept this mostly wholesome because NB has enough angst potential without me adding to it. lol
SATAN x gn!Reader, 0.5k words, SFW.
Content: implied established relationship with gn!Reader.
The house itself is obviously a bit different. It’s older but also newer in some ways—updates and renovations over time, that sort of thing. It’s endured years of the siblings living there and all that entails. Their home is obviously loved and well-cared for, despite the little dents in the wall from their squabbles and the occasional scorched marks from some accidental fires. Those lingering remnants of the past each tell a story, and OG Satan offers to share them all.
I think NB Satan is just confused by everything he sees. There are portraits of himself on the walls, and there's lots of family photos where OG Satan looks so happy. OG Satan talks about his brothers while they walk slowly through the halls together. His voice is laced with fondness, especially even when he talks about Lucifer. He reminisces about pranks he attempted with Belphie that Lucifer managed to thwart somehow, but there’s no real bite in his tone. He can look back fondly on those memories and cherish them all, the good and the bad.
By the time they get to his bedroom, NB Satan has no idea what to think. He explores the familiar space but notices all the subtle differences: there are a lot of human world literature and movies strewn about, and he notices a jar of cat treats near the door so it's easy to grab a handful before going out to feed the strays. This bedroom feels less like a prison of his own making because it's comfortable and uniquely him and surprisingly warm.
OG Satan just kind of watches his other self with something like amusement, and NB Satan gets fed up feeling like the punchline to someone's idea of a joke.
"I don't get it. We're the same, aren't we? So why aren't you—how are you not—?"
"How am I not what?"
"How are you not angry all the time? Why are you so happy? Especially talking about him."
"Oh, I'm angry," OG Satan says, picking up a framed photo from his bedside table. He runs his fingers over the glass as he looks at the picture in his hands. "You know what it feels like, how it festers deep inside us. We're always looking for reasons to let our rage loose on the world so everyone else hurts as much as we do. But we both had to learn that there's more to life than that, didn't we?"
OG Satan hands him the photo, and NB Satan takes the frame carefully. It's a a photo of him and his family at a beach somewhere, and right there in the middle with their arms wrapped around his waist is—
"Our attendant?" he asks, eyes lingering on a familiar smile before reluctantly handing the photo back.
OG Satan nods. "If anything, you're the lucky one," he says, returning the picture to its proper place beside his bed. "I had to wait a lot longer to meet them than you did. I was lost just as you were, but then they came here and—well, I have a feeling you know how the rest of that story goes," he says, clearing his throat as a pink blush dusts his cheeks.
For the first time since they met, it feels like they finally understand each other. "...Yeah, I think I do."

Time passes differently now.
It makes sense, you can’t help but think in those precious moments when the haze lifts and grants you a reprieve of much needed clarity; It’s only logical that something would feel different now that you are too. Seconds ticking past but mean nothing when you stay unchanging. Time no longer has any meaning now that you’re frozen in it. And so nine days slip by, and they’re all a blur; one bleeds unintelligibly into the next, but they feel like what once were seconds in another life.
You’re burning.
You’re hungry.
You feel as if you’re coming undone.
But you’re safe. You know that to be true too. Even in the haze, even in the vicious delirium and the burn, there are hands that cradle you and the gentle brush of lips against your skin. You’re surrounded constantly by the scent of pine, the whistle of the winter wind and soft, familiar voices.
They’d told you it would be like this, prepared you for it. But knowing something in theory and knowing something in practice are very different things.
You’re curled up in the corner of the smallest room in the house. It’s the only one with tatami floors, though you suspect at one time—before extensive renovations that shaped the home into something beautiful but unrecognizable—there once may have been more. This room is used for storage now, mostly; there are a few boxes piled up along one side, an extra futon folded up in one corner, and antiques in pristine condition that don’t seem to otherwise match the decor. Those are half-covered by drop cloths to protect them from dust or damage, but there’s a vanity along the wall that’s been half-revealed as the sheet pools on the floor, revealing beautiful knotted elm, a pristine mirror, and careful woodwork underneath. There’s a faint scent of must that hangs in the still air, and the little room is dark—the sole window along the opposite side covered by thick curtains to block out the sun.
But you prefer the dark now.
You see too much in the light.
The air in the dim room shifts suddenly, and you lift your face from the crook between your knees where they’re drawn up to your chest.
“There you are—”
You heard him even before he opened the door. Heard him on the other side of the house before he even started making his way to you.
“—I’ve been looking all over for you.”
The man on the other side of the room keeps his distance as he appraises you. It’s a gesture that is not done unkindly. Everything Matsukawa Issei does is considerate, as ever.
He knows the hell you’re suffering.
“What’re you doing in here, huh?”
Issei makes his way towards you at an easy, lazy pace, even though the room is so small. The way he takes his time approaching you is unimposing, even given his height and his breadth, like a trapper approaching small prey that had mistakenly gotten locked in their snare.
Your throat feels raw when you finally speak. To be honest, you aren’t entirely certain when the last time you spoke even was. It may have been a few days. Perhaps only hours.
You wonder when it will get easier to keep track, now that the flow of time feels so foreign.
“My jaw hurts.”
Issei crouches down next to you slowly, and your senses follow him; his warmth, his scent, the steady sound of his breaths. He draws closer and closer, his presence growing more unignorable until he’s mere inches away from your face. His proximity effortlessly eases the ache that thrums under your gums. His nearness soothes the inferno that has scorched a hearth into your chest.
“Your jaw?” he repeats your words, a careful hand reaching out towards you. His movements are cautious but sure, measured but gentle. His broad palm caresses your cheek, his touch soft against your skin. You lean into it, into him, as unconsciously as drawing in a breath.
It’s quiet as he holds you.
“…My teeth.”
Issei hums. The sound is a deep, sympathetic purr that makes your skin prickle just underneath the surface. His hand slips a little further down your face, until he’s cupping your jaw rather than the soft swell of your cheek. Your eyes finally meet his, and you’re lost in them as the pad of his thumb presses against the pucker of your mouth.
“Can I?” he asks, his head tilting to the side.
Your lips part for his willingly, wordlessly, welcoming him in.
The tip of the digit slips underneath your top lip, and you can taste the subtle saltiness that clings to his skin. Issei watches your expression as he traces along the front of your upper row of teeth, ghosting along the smooth enamel and mapping the peaks and valleys as one tooth gives way to the next. His touch sweeps a little further up and the investigation continues as he skims along the soft pink of your gums. The warmth of his hand and his closeness has your mouth filling with saliva that threatens to drip at the corner of your parted lips.
He presses, firmer now than he has yet, against a tender spot along your gums.
“Mmmmmph—!”
You clutch his wrist tightly with both hands, holding him still as you pant raggedly against his palm. Spit freely runs down his skin now, and your chin, catching in the low light of the small room you’ve locked yourself away in as it drips slowly to the floor. That all-consuming burn is still there—haunting your lungs and up the track of your throat—but you’re holding onto Issei tighter than you’ve ever held anything.
“Easy, easy,” he soothes you quietly, his other hand reaching up to pat along your hair. Your grip slackens, but you keep his hand pressed desperately to your mouth like a lifeline. His thumb is still resting against that sensitive, aching spot, and once he senses it’s safe for him to continue he sweeps the pad of it against that place again. There’s a throb deep beneath the muscle that twinges, and it’s painful but surprisingly not unpleasant. Your jaw relaxes slightly, though your breaths are still shuddering, and it grants him even better access to your mouth than before.
“Good girl,” he praises you for the utterly unconscious gesture, sweeping the digit stuck beneath your lip slowly along to the same spot on the opposite side of your top row of teeth. It hurts there too, but Issei’s touch is gentle and compassionate; soothing as it glides against the slick flesh.
The little room around you fades away, little by little, until all you know is him.
Your vision grows hazy, your eyelids suddenly heavy as Issei continues to explore your mouth. The pain that had been so all-consuming just moments before is easier now to bear, your senses dulling to anything that isn’t him. There’s so much saliva pooling under your tongue that you can hear how wet it is as the man before you moves his thumb around inside.
Eventually he’s satisfied, a pleased little hum telling you he’s found what he was looking for, and as if to reward you he slips his thumb between your teeth and rubs it against the surface of your tongue. You close your lips around it happily.
“Gentle,” he urges, and you heed his warning—careful not to bite down or otherwise move too eagerly with his finger caught in your mouth. You suckle it gently on nothing more than sheer instinct. It feels nice—soothing, familiar somehow even though it isn’t—and he sighs contently. “That’s it.”
You stay like that for a while, holding his wrist as you suck against the warmth of his thumb where it rests against your tongue. You grow even more delirious the longer you indulge yourself—the demons that have been clawing at you incessantly for the past nine days quieting until you can scarcely notice them at all.
“Your teeth are coming in,” Issei eventually speaks again in that easy, gentle way he always does, but you hardly register his words through your daze.
You make a small noise of confusion once his words reach you somewhere you can understand.
“Your fangs,” he explains as he smiles softly down at you, watching with nothing short of fondness in his gaze.
You blink, processing his revelation though your brain is foggy and your thoughts are syrupy slow.
Issei slips his thumb out of your mouth only once you allow him to, dipping forward and dragging his tongue along your bottom lip to catch the spit that has steadily been dribbling out. He doesn’t kiss you, not really anyway, even though the gesture feels so intimate and his lips are practically upon yours. It’s as though he senses you want to say something, because as soon as he’s cleaned you up he’s pulling away and looking to you expectantly.
“My… fangs?” you sound uncertain, your voice thready and confused as you repeat what he’s told you.
Issei lifts his thumb up to his mouth; the length of it is covered in the sheen of your saliva, all the way down to his wrist. He cleans that off too as he nods.
You shiver a little.
“Are they going to fall out?” you ask him worriedly, a tightness of anxiety weaving itself into a knot in the centre of your searing chest.
“Yes,” he says, sparing you no detail and offering you no misguided pleasantry in the interest of your own sake. He cups your cheeks in both hands this time, keeping your eyes on him, and he uses his thumbs to curl your upper lip and reveal your teeth again—one holds the lip up out of the way while the other dips down to trace over the canine tooth just below that wretchedly aching spot in your gums. “Just think of these like milk teeth.”
He traces along the razor fine edge of your incisor with the very tip of his finger, then across to your canine—careful, even with all his own strength, not to nick himself on the sharpness.
“Right now, these teeth are meant to shred—to rip and tear through skin and bone and whatever else might be in your way so you can get as much blood as quickly as possible. So you can get stronger,” he says, and his low, gentle voice softens the gruesomeness of his words into something palatable and easy to swallow. “But your fangs will give you acuity. Precision. You’ll be able to puncture just enough to draw what you need when you feed as you mature.”
You whimper a little when he presses down against your canine, as though terrified it might begin to wiggle under his touch.
“You’re cutting teeth, that’s all,” he says simply, and you wish his words were more comforting to hear than they are. He slips his finger out once more and allows your lip to return to its rightful place. He tuts lightly. “But it’s painful, isn’t it?”
You nod a bit, your head dipping as much as it’s able with his hands still cradling your cheeks on either side.
“Poor little thing,” Issei breathes, crowding you a little closer to the wall where you’ve been curled up in your misery. “Want me to make you feel better?”
Your back rests flush to Issei’s chest, two of his fingers pressed deep into your mouth. He has your knees hooked over his thighs and his legs spread to keep you open, and tips of his talented fingers orbit in rhythmic circles around your clit.
It all sounds so wet.
Your mouth. Your pussy. Your shuddering breaths. The racing thump of your heart.
The coil of tension in the pit of your insatiable stomach has nearly wound tight enough to break.
How many times has he made you cum in the past nine days? You wonder distantly in your mind. How many more times will he make you cum in the innumerable ones that now lie ahead?
Your head pitches back against Issei’s shoulder as his mouth laves down the column of your neck. You feel the familiar drag of his teeth along your throat, and the sensation still makes your heart race—even though the thumping is little more than vestigial; even though his teeth wont pierce you the way they used to when there was still blood that he craved rushing underneath your once fragile, delicate skin.
“Feel good?” he murmurs into your skin between kisses, and your hips jump in place of an answer—as clear an indicator to your agreement than any words you may be able to offer in reply. His fingertips press a little firmer against the sensitive bud at the apex of your dripping core.
“‘Sei,” your voice is reedy and wanton as you call for him around his fingers.
“What do you need, sweetheart?”
You don’t know. Or maybe you do, but your ability to verbalize it has abandoned you along with your sanity.
But you’re needy. You need more. Need something. Need anything.
You shift in his lap, as much as you can given the way he’s holding you, and grind against the firm swell of his cock nestled behind your back. Issei pulls his fingers out from your mouth, the pads of his fingers slipping softly against your lips.
“Yeah?” his reply is deep, breathy, “that what you want?”
You nod, fervent and crazed.
Strangely, you feel a little more normal like this—a little more like who you used to be. He used to make you feel this frenzied back then too, but now he doesn’t need to be as gentle with you as he once was. In spite of that, Issei still touches you like you’re something breakable. Something precious.
“Hiro will be back soon,” the man above you whispers as he gently lays you flat against the tatami flooring, his nose brushing yours. “Are you hungry?”
It hardly needs to be asked. You’re always hungry. At least you have been for the past nine days. There’s a little pile of crumpled silver packets on one side of the room, long-drained, as evidence to this fact. Hiro’s been bringing you more blood each day, fresh blood—that tastes better than the synthetic stuff you find yourself guzzling in the hours in between—but it still doesn’t feel like it’s enough to satiate you. Not enough to douse the burn that torches your throat.
You’re not sure where he’s getting it, and you don’t ask. The truth is you don’t even know where you are.
Prior to turning, Issei and Hiro had asked if you prefer the sea or the forest. The smell of salt air or pine sap. You’d answered the forest, with fond memories of wandering around the green space in the countryside where your grandparents lived when you were a child. When you’d woken up nine days ago in this big house in the middle of the woods, you realized why they’d asked you to begin with.
You’re far away from civilization here.
Or rather, civilization is far away from you.
Because you’re the thing that needs to be kept away. Isolated. Contained. All in the best interest of the beating hearts and pumping blood that floods the city you’d once known.
The thought of blood rushing under skin, of throngs of people saturated with it, makes your mouth water.
“Issei,” you moan, your sharp teeth gnashing involuntarily at the thought as you cling to him a little tighter. “Please."
The man hovering over you shushes you gently; a soothing placating sound. “I’m sorry, I know it’s hard,” he murmurs, slipping a hand under the silk of your robe, “it’ll get easier, I promise.”
Issei knows it better than anyone, you think. His words a little more comforting because you know he’s speaking from experience. He’d been just like you once: bloodthirsty and on the brink—a mind in tatters as it fights to acclimatize to the sudden change of being turned, attempting to knit itself back together into something new. Takahiro had turned him only 100 years ago, after all.
Only—a part of your brain scoffs, maybe the last rational part that’s endured—when did 100 years become something you could measure so flippantly?
Issei unfastens the loose tie of your robe at your waist, letting the silky material slip from your body like the flow of water over stone. You don’t know who’d dressed you in it, only that it’s not something you’d pulled on yourself. You hadn’t washed or dressed yourself since you’d woken up.
Yet another way you’ve been cared for in the time in-between.
Two strong arms cage you in against the floor, a palm resting on either side of your face. Issei’s body is warm. You like that. He always used to feel so much colder than you did, but now that your body is running at the same temperature his touch feels more ambient.
“Hey,” Issei’s gentle hand takes your chin to turn your gaze towards him, “get out of your head for a minute, okay? Just focus on me. I’m right here.”
He is, and he has been. He and Hiro both, for the past nine days.
And for a long time before that.
And now forever.
Issei dips forwards and kisses you sweetly, deeply.
He doesn’t have to prep you like he used to, because your body isn’t fragile in the same ways it once was. You feel the thick head of his cock dragging through the sticky petals of your pussy, and know that you can stretch to accommodate him without any of the discomfort you may have once felt. When he presses inside, you just feel full. You just feel good.
You moan against his mouth as he gives the first few slow thrusts, like he’s letting you get used to it. Like he’s letting you enjoy it.
But it’s not enough.
With newfound strength, a strength you’re not yet fully used to, you roll the two of you over and pin him down against the tatami. Issei’s eyes are surprised, but not unwilling in the slightest, as he stares up at you with his dark hair fanning away from his face. Your hips begin moving freely, using your new position as leverage. You’re full, then empty, then full again as you bounce on his lap—the wet, lewd sound of skin slapping fills the room, but you can scarcely hear it over the thrum of your pulse.
“That’s it,” Issei groans, praising you. His eyes have gone half-lidded as you ride him, a little smile on his lips. “Take what you need, sweetheart.”
Your hips keep moving, chasing the pleasure that’s rising in your core. His hand finds yours, and you clasp your hand around his to guide it up your body. First to your chest, where he grabs a handful of your soft, bouncing flesh. He kneads it gently for a moment, his thumb pressing teasingly against the pebbled bud of your nipple. But that’s not where you want him either, and you keep guiding it up to your mouth.
“Careful,” Issei’s voice has gone a little raspier now as you bring his fingers to your lips. And you’re trying to be, you really are, but you’re a little too far gone to care that much.
He is too.
If you wanted to, he’d let you bite. Let you devour him.
You lick between his knuckles, flicking your tongue up between the digits as saliva drips down to his wrist, all while you keep spearing yourself back down onto his thick, hard cock. You slip the fingertips just past your lips, and moan around the digits when you feel him throb inside of you, your free hand hand fluttering down to your stomach where you swear you might be able to feel him shaping your body to fit him inside. You’re still grinding down against him, still suckling against his fingers, and Issei is still staring up at you from the floor with a tender, heavy lidded gaze.
“I love you,” he murmurs, and god do you know that he means it.
“Yeah, love you,” you whimper back, breathy and pitchy and desperate as you let his hand fall from your mouth. You drop down onto your elbows to kiss him, wet and messy, and hope that he knows that you mean it too.
Issei keeps thrusting up into you as your lips slot messily against his, an arm wound around the small of your back to keep you in place as he fucks into you. You’re lost in the feeling of it, in the pleasure Issei is giving to you, when suddenly light washes over the little room.
“I thought I heard you two in here.”
You squint against the light, your lips still hovering over Issei’s as you pant. Takahiro leans against the doorframe on the other side of the room, and his gaze sweeps across the scene as he pushes his flashy sunglasses up onto his head, his strawberry hair pinned back underneath them. His red eyes watch you placidly, an amused little smile on his face.
You always found it hard to believe that of the two of them, Hiro was the elder. And not marginally—Hanamaki Takahiro has seen more seasons than all of the towering trees that surround your little safe house combined. Where Issei is solemn and reserved, favouring understated clothes and quiet, Hiro delights in the marvels of the modern era; revels in them. Their stark juxtaposition is part of what had drawn you to them in the first place.
Part of what had led you here.
“Hiro,” you breathe when you spot him, but then the hair stands up n the back of your neck as you catch the sweet smell of blood in the air.
Something monstrous squirms inside of you; animalistic and feral. You scramble blindly towards it, but Issei keeps you where you are with his arms wrapped around your waist and his cock still inside of you. He pulls you to his chest as you thrash against him. You sob, desperately fighting against his hold. There’s an ungodly burning in your throat, saliva dripping from your trembling lips. Then Hiro is in front of you, so quickly so barely see him move, patting your hair back from your face.
“Shh, shh,” he coos in his smooth, low voice. You blink tears away, swallowing against your mouth full of spit. The ache in you teeth is back, worse now than before, almost as if you can feel the slice of fangs that want to push through your flesh and descend. You want to bite. To rend and tear. Every breath you draw in burns with the delicious fragrance you know is so close. You cling to Issei harder. “Baby, it’s not going anywhere. You’ll feed soon, just calm down. Don’t rush.”
Hiro takes your face in his hands, pressing light kisses the edge of your mouth, your cheeks, your nose. In the corner over Hiro's shoulder, you catch a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror of the vanity that sits half-uncovered.
You don't recognize the animal that peers back.
You’re tense even as Hiro coddles you, soothes you, but then Issei’s hips start moving again. The unexpected sensation punches a carnal, gasping sound out of you and it makes Hiro laugh against your cheek, all air.
There are four hands on your body, two mouths against your skin.
“Oh, that’s our girl,” Hiro sounds chipper as you slacken, pressing another kiss to your forehead. “Breathe for us, okay? Just breathe. It’s okay.”
You hear the sloppy sound of Issei’s hips meeting yours, and the jingling of Hiro’s belt as he unfastens it with one hand.
You smell the scent of fresh blood, but also the cool early-winter air that clings to the material of Hiro’s coat now that he’s so close, still heavy with the lingering fragrant pine from outside.
You feel pleasure building while they touch you, until it drowns out the ache. You’re hungry, but the burn isn’t quite so vicious. Your teeth hurt, but you find the sting has been soothed.
“Resist it for a bit—”
You’re not sure who moves you, but soon you’re splayed out again with your back to the floor, Issei is pinning your wrists down by your face, and both men are looming over you. Hiro looks up at Issei, tucking a tendril of his dark hair behind his ear dotingly. He smiles as he looks back down to you, his touch still lingering on the shell of Issei’s ear.
“—For us?”
Seconds tick by that you can’t keep track of.
But it’s getting easier.
And you have plenty of time to figure it out.
You shut your eyes, nodding slightly as you swallow over the burn in your throat, and you let your mind go blank.

Lenora's heart feels very warm and soft at the question Jophiel just asked her, his large red eyes wide and pleading, filled with hope and love and. Oh no. Her son is just *so cute* sometimes! And- she's gotten to know Claude and Cedric, who are both good boys, that also sometimes break her heart like how Jophiel does, likely because of the shared, and different experience the youngest have suffered from. She's seen how they react to those around her and can tell that none of them have had easy lives at all, before coming to Ancient Terra as they call her home.
"... I..." Lenora pauses, "This is a conversation to be had with Claude, Cedric, and Erriox as well, my son,"
Jophiel pouts at her but nods, "Alright, I'll go get them, mom!"
He hugs then nuzzles her before he swims off to gather the other three Space Marines. Lenora felt her heart turn to mush at being called mom so casually by Jophiel. It was... he could be way too cute sometimes. While Jophiel went off to get Claude and Cedric she found Erriox and told him about the question that Jophiel had asked of her.
“I think there are several factors we need to consider before offering to adopt Cedric and Claude that we didn’t have to consider with Jophiel,” Erriox says slowly as his mind turns to the logistics of this. “Do they have their own pod or shoal that they are in? Are they being cared for by others in a similar way? Do they want to?”
“Those are good questions, one we will need the boys to answer,” Lenora responds with a nod. “Jophiel has gone off to go get them.”
“And if they do want to join us, we will need to move and make the nest larger, as they are all quite large, and it’s a tight enough fit with the three of us, as is,” Erriox continues, slowly starting to figure out the potential Logistics of the Situation.
Jophiel returns with Claude and Cedric, and he's finished with the explanation of why he's bringing them to Erriox and Lenora. Claude's ears have turned slightly pink, both of his closest brothers are in thoughtful silence as they think about Lenora, Erriox, each other, and Jophiel's proposed idea.
Of course, after getting to know Erriox and Lenora, Cedric has decided that he'd be honored if they offered to adopt him, and that he'd take it. Claude had been... a bit... Startled and skittish about the idea at first, but- if... if Lenora and Erriox weren't opposed to the idea... he'd ... he'd happily agree.
Also, whatever renovations to the nest (whenever they stayed over) was needed, he and Cedric would help with, should Erriox want and/or request the help from the trio of them. Claude and Cedric greets Lenora and Erriox cheerfully.
“Did Jophiel tell you why we wanted to talk with you boys?” Lenora asks them.
“Yeah,” Claude says with a nod, “I’d be… honored if you wanted to adopt me. While I have helped out some of the older brothers and cousins, I’ve not been officially or unofficially asked nor offered to be a part of any shoals or pods… Just been helping them out occasionally for information about the state of things at times.”
What isn’t said is how Claude and Cedric have found a couple of their fellow Primaris Marines in bad states. They were lucky Hura didn’t do much more than be pleasantly threatening when Catius had unknowingly hidden in Hura’s cave to try and recover from his injuries. Then, a few months later they had to try and comfort a nearly hysterical Cedric when he’d found a nearly dead, but still somehow alive Ramiel (that was… it was good that Ramiel was found again before he died, for a second time).
Even if the adventure in the creepy Chaos-cave was not pleasant. Ramiel and Catius are still recovering in a neutral cave near-ish where they can go fussing at their brothers. Catius and Ramiel kept each other company as they recovered. It was worrying that it was taking both of them so long to heal, but perhaps it was because of what Warp-nonsense that brought them here when they were both dead- or almost dead when they’d shifted from their time to here is the cause or something? The only one who’s got some sort of Psyker Training is Jophiel, who’s talents lie in misdirection and illusions, rather than any sort of deeper mysteries.
Claude shakes his head a little to pull himself out of his thoughts. There is a lot that they haven’t said or explained to anyone outside of their little squad of five Primaris Marines. From what they’ve gathered from other sources, five of their type of marine is a high number, despite the fact that there are hundreds, possibly thousands of First Born Marines in the seas of Ancient Terra at this point in time. He could have gone without the knowledge of time being more fluid than first thought.
“I don’t have an official shoal or pod that I’m with,” Cedric says, glancing at Erriox and Lenora before looking away, “I talk with Brother Roland occasionally.”
“How’s that going?” Claude asks curiously.
“He is usually nice,” Cedric says half happy, half totally-not-sulking as he remembers how Roland likes to gently bully him at times.
He had several reasons why he hasn’t told Roland more about himself, he knows how rare and precious specialized training is for a Space Marine his age. And Apothecary Types are very sought after because they can patch up and help heal those who are wounded. He knows that Roland, if he found out that Cedric’s more than just an Apprentice-Aged Primaris Marine would scruff and drag him into being in his shoal with Arnault.
Which- he’d be honored to meet one of the Emperor’s Champions… but then he’d be more restricted in his movements and unable to help Ramiel and Catius as much, unless he told them about his brother and cousin. Ramiel’s an Apprentice Chaplain, who also helps tend to the heart and soul of the chapter, help absolve them of their sins and sorrows as needed, among other things.
Different Chaplains have different specialties, but Ramiel wasn’t being trained to be an Interrogator Chaplain, which Claude is grateful for. A Chaplain is a ‘beating heart’ of the chapter and is thought of quite highly by almost all of the battle brothers in every chapter. Well, that is so in M42 and those that are from after the Heresy. Granted, Ramiel says he’s not a ‘chaplain’ yet, he’s an Judicar, which is one of the lowest ranks of the specialist type he is, he’d got his Rosarius beads, as he’s passed his first few trials, but… he’d not been able to have more before landing on Ancient Terra.
Cedric felt so honored that Lenora and Erriox had asked him to join their family, and Jophiel’s giving him large, hopeful eyes. He’s so delighted, and he is shy at first, but straightens up and nods, agreeing and requesting to become a part of the same family as them. That has Lenora trill and nuzzle her newest son, he nuzzles her back and she starts to groom her large lad. After a few minutes of that Jophiel flies and nuzzles into both of them with happy chirps and smiles. Claude is carefully approaching and scoops all of them up in a big hug for a few seconds before setting them down.
Lenora laughs and turns to Claude, who had accepted becoming her son as well and groomed her other new son. Erriox is watching this with a small smile on his face, as his mind whirls on new spots for their nest to be located, as well as how much more stuff they would need to build the nest, as well as food and other things that his new sons will need. He knows that Scouts, for the most part, are mostly- independent, but when they are around, he’s going to ensure that they are well fed and help Lenora take care of them.
The boys help with moving things, getting more material, and building the nest per Lenora and Erriox’s orders and requests. Them getting to chime in with their own thoughts and own additional flourishes and additions to the nest to help make it theirs. After a few more weeks, Jophiel is able to introduce his brothers to the Gannet Aunties and cousins, who have been told about the pair of them and are Delighted to meet more of Lenora’s boys. Cooing over and talking to all three of them. Gently squishing their cheeks and fusing over all three of them. Claude and Cedric get the vaguely alarmed and overwhelmed expressions the more attention and affection that they are given. Jophiel had told them about what the Gannet Aunties were like, and he’s told their Gannet Aunties about Claude and Cedric.

Pairing: Armand/Louis/Lestat
Opener: "I have missed you so much." 🥹
Send a pairing and a starting line! (listen you already know I simply HAD to write something based off of this response I had on my Louis blog!! this has lived rent free in my head for MONTHS so thank you for supplying the perfect jumping off point for me)
"I have missed you so much."
The confession comes between gritted teeth. There's a heaviness to his voice, and they both catch it immediately. There is no Mind Gift needed to communicate the level of concern etched across the furrow of Lestat's brow, the frown tugging at Armand's cherub lips.
It's a jarring sight to come home to: Louis in his chair, fussing with the threadbare sleeves of his sweater, the delicate features of his face twisted with ruinous anguish as crimson tears slowly collect in the corners of his downcast eyes.
Impossible, that this was the same creature Lestat had left only a few nights ago. He remembers their conversation so clearly:
“I think you should go,” Louis had encouraged him, upon reading the invitation from Armand. It was a simple request: come to Paris, help to renovate the villa while the weather was still warm. The invitation was open to Louis, too, of course, but Louis knew better than to intervene.
“I knew you’d say that,” Lestat had scoffed.
“I think it would be good for you both.”
“You’re only saying that to get me out of the house. I’ll come home to find all the furniture out in the street, replaced with something boring and practical.”
“It is a ghastly armchair, Lestat.”
“It’s a statement piece.”
“We don’t need to make statements.”
“I have nothing to say to him.”
“That’s not true, Lestat.”
“Of course it’s true! How many nights have we spent together gnashing at old wounds? How many times can we have the same argument? He probably only wants me there to insult me.”
“Paris is different. You don’t have to speak to him. Just be in each other’s company. Explore the city as humans do. Hunt. Be the companions you never could be before.”
“Stop that.”
“Stop what?”
“Stop being wise.”
“I’m giving you my honest advice, Lestat.”
“Come with me, then. Let the three of us walk down the Champs Elysses.”
“No,” Louis had said. “It needs to be the two of you.”
It was Louis who told him to go, Louis who sensed the importance tending to the old wounds between the two of them.
But it was also Louis who had sent that text, merely days after Lestat’s departure.
He hadn’t meant to do it, in all honesty. He knew damn well as soon as he hit the send button that he would ruin their time together. But, see, Lestat had made the mistake of sending Louis a picture. It wasn’t the sort of picture Louis expected to receive while Lestat was away (and thank God for that, honestly); it was simply a selfie of he and Armand walking down the street. Lestat’s arm was wrapped around Armand’s shoulder, and Armand’s expression was ripe with annoyance, frustration, and irrefutable love.
Evidence that we have not killed each other yet. Please, tell me you are proud of me. I love to hear you say it. xoxo
It was nothing Louis had not seen before. It was exactly what he had hoped for, in fact. He had every intention of replying with a simple “Good.” or perhaps even a thumbs up at this best-case scenario.
And yet.
The longer he stared at it, the longer he felt some strange agony in the pit of his stomach, like a red hot poker melting through him. The feeling is alien, but not unrecognizeable. He knows it for what it is, and it’s humiliating and irrational and completely, totally foolish, but for perhaps the first time in centuries…Louis de Pointe du Lac is jealous.
I miss you.
I miss you both.
I cannot stand the thought of the two of you finding happiness without me.
I know how selfish that is. I know I am being irrational and hypocritical. But surely, I will die without your love.
I need the two of you here with me, now.
And that was that. Lestat and Armand were on a plane home within the hour.
If the air wasn't sucked out of his lungs at the sight of him, Lestat might have made a joke, might have checked the sky for flying pigs because if Louis de Pointe du Lac is weeping, then surely the end of the world is soon to follow. He opens his mouth to try and say as much, but Louis beats him to it:
“You must think me so foolish.”
The thing about Louis is that he so often carries an air of melancholy with such grace that everyone seems to forget the hidden depths of anguish that rear their ugly heads when he is left alone with his own thoughts for too long. His approach to the masterful art of repression had been wholisticly different than that of Armand or Lestat; rather than numb himself entirely or run from the depths of his emotions, Louis had always drowned himself in sorrow because, perhaps long ago, he thought he might acclimate to it.
Instead, it only seems to twist him up until he’s worse off than before. It had chewed him up and spat him out, this time.
“Louis,” is all Lestat can think to say as they drop their bags, shed their coats and head straight for their lover in his trusty old armchair.
They kneel, one on each side; Lestat on the left and Armand on the right. Leaning closer, Lestat lifts his hand to wipe the tears from Louis’ eyes, but is shunned away.
“He’s embarrassed,” Armand translates, as he so often does. Beneath the curtain of black hair, he catches Louis’ gaze and knows he’s struck the truth.
“Embarrassed! Why—”
“Because he wants our love, and there is some part of his mind that feels humiliated in admitting that.”
The sudden rush of blood in Louis’ cheeks, up behind his eyes sockets, is enough evidence that Armand, as always, is right.
Lestat kisses at the sweet little blush, right against Louis’ temple as he pets one hand through his hair.
“My darling Louis,” he hums. “I’ve missed you so terribly. Have you missed him, too, Armand?”
“Yes, of course.” Armand follows right along. If Louis didn’t know any better he’d think the whole thing was rehearsed. Sometimes they think with such synchronicity it's uncanny.
“Perhaps we ought to show our dear Louis how much we missed him.”
“Yes,” Armand agrees, and he’s already moving closer, fingers already ghosting up Louis’ chest. “It’s good to be home.”
#yes i'm posting this at midnight for you to read when you wake up lmfao#the dash is dead but i'm over here vibrating over louis/armand/lestat#drabble#my writing#Louis has two hands#louis/lestat/armand

bronco nima x female reader? the reader is engaged to carmelo hayes but carmelo breaks it off with her when he falls for someone else and bronco is there for the reader and soon after they fall in love
Hate Him, Love You (Bronco Nima x Fem!Reader):
Word Count: 874
Supreme Speaks: thanks to @hooks-martin for this request. ummm...that's it to be honest. Requests are open but I'm gonna be renovating my blog and trying to create/finalize my masterlist (so be patient with me)
Warnings: not really proofread, mentions of a relationship breaking apart
Bronco hates Carmelo
As an athlete, Bronco respects the hell out of Carmelo (it takes a lot of guts, talent, and dedication to be a wrestler period)
But as a person? Bronco hates him
He hates how he has good fits after good fits, how he oozes with charisma every time he’s out on the mic or in the ring, he hates how all the women drop at his feet
Most importantly; Bronco hates how Carmelo was able to work the charm on you
Causing you and Carmelo to start dating…and then becoming official….and then getting engaged
He hates all of it
You have been a good friend of Bronco for years (even before you and Carmelo started dating)
You know each other like the back of your own hands, you have always been there for you (and vice versa)
So it was no surprise when Bronco started to develop feelings for you
Why? ‘Cause Bronco loves you
How you do your hair, how you are so sweet to everyone, how you go above and beyond for your friends, how you are able to smile and calm down in a moment of chaos
So imagine how he felt when he saw you on the hallway floor of NXT…crying
Bronco huffed, “Bro, I don’t know what to do. I’ve never seen Y/N like this before.”
Lucien, his best friend, shook his head, “That’s even more of a reason for you to go over there and comfort her. The woman of your dreams is crying, and no one is around her to comfort or help her. This your shot man, now go be a good person.” He pushed Bronco forward, who very quietly started making his way toward you.
“Hey, Y/N” Bronco whispered. You looked up for a brief moment before wiping your eyes, to make it look like you haven’t been crying. “Y/N, you don’t have to do that. It’s okay to cry. But we can go to a more private place if you want.” You slowly nodded your head as Bronco helped you up. You two started walking toward his locker room. It really hurt him to see you like this; because this was not like you at all. You were always the joking and smiling type. That’s what he adored about you; but to see you like this, he was angry at whoever made you cry. Sitting down on the couch, you sniffled as the tears continued to fall.
“I’m sorry that you have to see me like this.” You said in a shaky voice.
“No, I’m sorry for whoever made you cry.” He whispered to himself, hoping you didn’t hear him. “Do you want to talk about it?”
You took a deep breath in. You whispered something, causing Bronco to ask you to speak up. “Carmelo broke up with me.” You said before letting out a bitter laugh. Bronco’s eyes and mouth got really wide as he took in your appearance more. You weren’t wearing your engagement ring.
You and Carmelo had your problems, which would end up with you guys being “broke up” for a couple of days. You would end up getting back together. But if you took off your ring, it was probably something really bad.
Bronco immediately started to curse out Carmelo in his head (while also thanking him at the same time). He asked, “What happened?”
“He fell in love with another girl.” You sighed, letting go of a breath that you were holding. By saying it out loud, you were accepting the facts for what they were. “He left me. Apparently, he didn’t cheat on me, but now I wouldn’t put it past him. He said it just happened, that he didn’t expect it. So he broke up with me to be with her.”
“I’m so sorry, Y/N,” Bronco said, sitting down next to you. He wrapped his arms around you. “You don’t deserve this.”
“Maybe I do since I obviously wasn’t e-“
“Don’t you dare finish that sentence.” He said, making you grow quiet. “You did a lot for him, and he couldn’t see and appreciate it. So, screw him. You are an incredible woman and you deserve a man who appreciates you. Don’t ever put yourself down, especially because someone who gives up so easily.”
You leaned your head on his shoulder. “Thank you.”
Ever since that day, you two became inseparable; constantly hanging out with each other
You felt yourself getting better; as you spent most of every day with Bronco
Then, you started to feel sparks between the two of you
Bronco felt his feelings get stronger and decided to bite the bullet
And soon, those hangouts became dates
Going on picnics, driving around late at night, attending company dinners together
Bronco really made you the happiest person ever
And vice versa
Bronco asked you to be his girlfriend after y’alls third date; to which you happily said yes
Till to this day, Bronco hates how Carmelo treated you
But he’s grateful that he did in a way
Cause he loves you…and nothing was gonna change that

synopsis: If he ever broke your heart... you don't think time can mend that.
warnings: little poor meow meow whos a killer is killing😲 .
You drove around Camp Crystal Lake, slowly and without paying much attention to the road. You just wanted to feel the autumn air against your face and forget why you were moving away. The jacket over her shoulders was his, but Jason wasn't there with you.
Jason asked you to travel to the city. Just a few days away until he finished dealing with the people trying to renovate the camp. You did as he asked, but you don't know if you'll come back.
You just... He'll never stop. You already understood this. Jason will never rest, not as long as they keep heading back to camp. But you don't want it to continue. Because what if one day he doesn't make it? What if one day he's weak or distracted or hurts and can't make it?
You could just continue driving. Go back to your home and never come back. You could do anything you want, Jason would never hurt you, but that's not what you want. You don't want to leave him, you just don't want to see him dead.
But all you can do is hope you never lose him. Hope it never ends. You'd never walk on this damned city again.

Please do not be alarmed! This blog is going through some renovations! As I’m pivoting towards making this blog more for my original content, I’ve done/will be doing the following:
- I’ve created side-blogs for particular content I like so I can reblog with reckless abandon all without cluttering my main blog
@bonney-breaktime will be my fandom-related content (if you followed me for my one piece, chainsaw man, and other shenanigans related to fandoms, this one is for you!)
@bonney-galleria will be the art-related side of content I find; both fandom and otherwise. There’s a lot of great artists on here and I want to be able to reblog them while having a platform for my own work, so this is that blog!
@sillyroom-bonney is for the silly shitposts and other things that make me laugh. It’s a good time in the silly room!
@bonney-thoughts this is for all the thought-provoking or activism-related content. Things that make me go ‘hmm’, essentially.
I’ll probably end up making one for the fan-fiction I read on here, since I do tend to reblog them too, so lookout for an update as I clean, sweep, and dust this blog.
- Sometime in the near future, I will also be closing down @captain-bonney and moving that url to this main one here (for posterity, @winter-peach-fuzz ) in order to better interact with my audience and will slowly begin posting things here that were once over there. This would’ve been super easy if tumblr allowed you to switch main-blogs, but, alas it doesn’t.
So that’s all I have for that! I’ll be tagging followers of both my art blog and mutuals for this blog to make sure everyone sees this and isn’t caught unawares! Bisous bisous!

House Lifting Services in Kerala: Elevating Your Home To New Heights
Are you tired of feeling cramped in your own home? Do you want to add space without moving out or adding an extension? Look no further than house lifting services! Elevating your home to new heights not only increases its value but also gives you more living space. In this blog post, we'll explore the benefits and process of house lifting services in Kerala. Get ready to take your home to the next level!
Introduction To House Lifting:
One of the most popular home improvement services in Kerala is house lifting. This involves raising your home to a new level, usually to create additional living space or to make repairs and renovations easier. House lifting is a major undertaking, so it's important to understand the process and what it entails before you decide whether or not it's right for you.
The first step in house lifting is to prepare the foundation of your home. This includes excavation, shoring up the walls, and installing supports. Once the foundation is ready, the house will be lifted using hydraulic jacks. The jacks will raise the house slowly and evenly until it reaches the desired height.
Once the house is at the desired height, work can begin on repairing or renovating any areas that need it. Once everything is finished, the house will be lowered back down to ground level.
House lifting can be a great way to improve your home without having to start from scratch. It's important to consult with a professional before embarking on such a project, however, to ensure that it's done properly and that your home is safe during and after the process.
Benefits Of House Lifting in Kerala
The southern state of Kerala is known for its natural beauty, with its lush green landscapes and scenic beaches. But did you know that Kerala is also a great place to get your home lifted? That's right, house lifting in Kerala can offer many benefits to homeowners, including:
1. Protection from floods: With Kerala being prone to flooding, house lifting can provide much-needed protection for your home. By raising your home off the ground, you can minimize the damage caused by floodwaters.
2. Increased security: House lifting can also make your home more secure, as it will be less likely to be damaged or destroyed in the event of a natural disaster.
3. Improved curb appeal: A lifted home will have an improved appearance, making it more appealing to potential buyers if you ever decide to sell.
4. Greater comfort: By elevating your home, you can enjoy cooler temperatures and better ventilation. This is especially beneficial during the hot summer months in Kerala.
5. Added value: House lifting can add value to your property, making it a wise investment for any homeowner in Kerala.
Types Of House Lifting Services Available
There are many different types of house lifting services available in Kerala. Some companies specialize in lifting entire houses, while others may only lift a portion of the house. Still other companies may offer a combination of services, such as lifting the house and then adding on an extension.
When choosing a company to lift your house, it is important to consider what type of service you need. If you only need a portion of your house lifted, then you will not need to pay for an entire house lifting service. However, if you need your entire house lifted, then you will need to find a company that specializes in this type of work.
Another thing to consider when choosing a company to lift your house is whether or not they offer any additional services. Some companies may offer to add on an extension after they have lifted the house. This can be a great way to save money, as you will not have to pay for two separate services.
Once you have considered all of these factors, you should be able to find a reputable company that offers the type of house lifting service that you need. With so many different types of services available, there is sure to be one that meets your specific needs.
Factors to Consider Before Choosing a House Lifting Service in Kerala:
There are a few factors to keep in mind before you choose a house lifting service in Kerala. Here are a few things to consider:
1. The company's experience: Make sure to choose a company that has plenty of experience in the field. A company with years of experience will be able to handle your project with ease and will know exactly what needs to be done.
2. The company's reputation: Take the time to read reviews about the company you're considering. Make sure they have a good reputation and that they're known for providing quality services.
3. The cost: Get quotes from different companies so that you can compare prices. Remember, the cheapest option isn't always the best option. Choose a company that offers competitive pricing and quality services.
How To Choose A Reputable House Lifting Company in Kerala?
There are many factors to consider when choosing a reputable house lifting company in Kerala. Here are some tips to help you choose the right one:
1. Make sure the company is experienced and has a good track record. Ask for references and check them out.
2. Make sure the company is licensed and insured.
3. Get quotes from several companies and compare prices.
4. Make sure the company uses quality materials and equipment.
5. Ask around for recommendations from friends, family, or neighbors who have used a house lifting company before.
Cost Of House Lifting Services in Kerala

YOUR BLOG IS NOT GOING DOWNHILL FIGHT ME
Hi anon! This ask is really aggressive 😅 Ty for sending asks though! 💖
I was feeling sick last night/ today (and a little down at one point), so I’m sorry if I got a little moody and not very effervescent lol. Tbh though, I don’t really get a lot of activity or asks anymore and I’ve been slowly losing followers for a while now, so it’s hard not to feel like I’m probably doing something a little wrong.
That said, quality is definitely better than quantity when it comes to followers, so losing shallower followers isn’t really a bad thing (the mutuals I have are amazing!!! 💖). I also think part of why I keep losing followers is because when I first made this blog, my wardrobe was pretty limited and I didn’t really know how to apply makeup (still don’t), so I posted a lot of revealing stomach and leg pictures that maybe attracted a lot of “chaser” types, and now I’m not in as good shape and my posts are more varied, so that might play a role too. I also post more of my face now, which maybe let down some people’s expectations. Not to be vain or melodramatic, but when I post a selfie now, a lot of times I’ll lose 2 or 3 followers within 5 minutes of posting it, which is kinda saying something without saying something 😅 I guess I needed the reality check (and to develop a personality lol).
I also put that I was over 30 in my bio since I think a lot of people assumed I was still in my 20s. Idk if that’s impacted anyone’s perception, like, “you’re still using tumblr? Loser 🙄” lol. Or maybe some people feel like I’m past my expiration date or something. If I’m really being honest there was even a point where I got paranoid and did the Principal Skinner meme, where I delusionally started wondering if someone was spreading rumors about me or something. Reality is, I don’t get a lot of notes or asks anymore because my blog really isn’t that interesting.
Sorry for this super long and insecure reply, anon. All you wanted to do was beat me up and I countered by over sharing lol. That said, this is the only social media I really use, and the only place I really feel comfortable not exhaustively trying to conform to other people’s expectations, which makes this blog an escape in a lot of ways. Which is a roundabout way of saying it’s important to me, so I put a lot of thought and self reflection into why it sucks now lol.
So, in anticipation of the new year, I’m going to try to renovate and reinvigorate a little, which is probably a good thing imo 😊💖

The Brickwork Renaissance Bringing Timeless Elegance to Modern Homes
In the world of home design, some trends come and go, while others stand the test of time. Brickwork is one of those enduring elements that continues to captivate homeowners, interior designers, and architects alike. Its rich history, timeless aesthetic, and unmatched durability make it a sought-after choice for adding classic elegance to any home.
Whether you're considering a complete renovation or simply looking to enhance your home's existing charm, understanding the appeal of brickwork can inspire your next project. In this blog post, we'll explore why brickwork remains a staple in home design, examine its benefits, and discuss how current masonry trends can transform your living space.
The Lasting Charm of Brickwork Aesthetics
Brickwork has a unique ability to evoke a sense of warmth and tradition. Its natural colors and textures create an inviting atmosphere that few other materials can match. When you incorporate brickwork into your home, you not only add a touch of sophistication but also connect your space to a rich architectural heritage.
For interior designers, the versatility of brickwork makes it an excellent choice for a wide range of styles. Whether you're aiming for a rustic farmhouse vibe or a sleek, modern look, bricks can be used creatively to achieve your vision. Additionally, brickwork's ability to blend seamlessly with other materials, such as wood and metal, enhances its versatility and appeal.
Masonry Trends in Modern Architecture
Brickwork is far from outdated; in fact, it continues to evolve with new trends in architecture and design. One of the most popular masonry trends today is the use of exposed brick as an accent wall. This design choice adds depth and character to any room, creating a focal point that draws the eye and sparks conversation.
Another trend is the incorporation of brickwork in outdoor living spaces. From patios to garden walls, bricks offer a durable and aesthetically pleasing option for enhancing your exterior environment. The use of varied brick patterns, such as herringbone or basket weave, adds a modern twist to traditional designs, making them perfect for contemporary homes.
The Practical Benefits of Brickwork
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, brickwork offers several practical benefits that make it a smart choice for any home. One of the most significant advantages is its durability. Bricks are known for their strength and longevity, withstanding the test of time and weather conditions with ease. This makes them an excellent investment for homeowners looking to add value to their property.
Brickwork also provides excellent thermal insulation, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and reduce energy costs. The natural thermal mass of bricks absorbs heat during the day and releases it slowly at night, creating a comfortable living environment year-round. Additionally, bricks are low-maintenance, requiring minimal upkeep compared to other materials.
How to Incorporate Brickwork in Your Home Renovation Ideas
If you're inspired to add brickwork to your home, there are numerous ways to incorporate it into your renovation plans. Start by considering the areas where brickwork can have the most impact. For instance, a brick fireplace can serve as a stunning centerpiece in your living room, while brick flooring in the kitchen or entryway adds a classic touch.
When selecting bricks, pay attention to color and texture, as these elements play a crucial role in the overall aesthetic. Earthy tones like red, brown, and beige are traditional choices, but you can also experiment with grays and whites for a more contemporary look. Mixing different brick sizes and finishes can also create a unique, personalized design.
Brickwork's timeless appeal lies in its ability to combine beauty, functionality, and history into one material. Whether you're a homeowner looking to add elegance to your space, an interior designer seeking versatile options, or an architect designing the next big project, brickwork offers endless possibilities.
By understanding the current masonry trends and appreciating the practical benefits, you can make informed decisions that enhance both the aesthetic and value of your home. Consider incorporating brickwork into your next renovation to experience the lasting charm and elegance it brings.

One of the significant advantages of using brick in Arizona is its thermal mass properties. Bricks can absorb heat during the day and release it slowly at night, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and reduce the need for artificial heating and cooling. This thermal benefit is particularly valuable in Arizona's desert climate, where temperature fluctuations are common.
Aesthetics and Versatility
Brick offers a timeless and classic aesthetic that can complement various architectural styles. Whether you're aiming for a traditional Southwestern look or a more contemporary design, brick can be easily integrated. Additionally, bricks come in various colors and textures, allowing for creative and personalized design choices.
Exploring Block Construction
Strength and Stability
Concrete blocks, also known as cinder blocks, provide exceptional strength and stability. These blocks are made from a mixture of cement, aggregates, and water, resulting in a robust and durable building material. Block construction is ideal for creating structural elements that require high load-bearing capacity, making it a popular choice for foundations and walls.
Energy Efficiency
Like bricks, concrete blocks also offer excellent thermal mass properties. They can help regulate indoor temperatures by absorbing and releasing heat, contributing to energy efficiency. This energy-saving quality aligns with the principles of sustainable architecture and can lead to lower utility bills for Arizona homeowners.
Cost-Effectiveness
Concrete blocks are often more cost-effective than other masonry materials, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious homeowners. Their affordability, combined with their durability, makes block construction a practical choice for many Arizona residents looking to balance cost and performance.
The Timeless Appeal of Stone
Natural Beauty
Stone exudes a sense of timeless beauty and elegance that is hard to match. Using natural stone in construction creates a connection to the earth and the surrounding environment, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your home. Stone's unique textures and colors can add character and charm to any architectural design.
Durability and Resilience
Stone is one of the most durable building materials available. Its natural resistance to weathering, erosion, and fire makes it an ideal choice for the Arizona climate. A stone home can withstand the elements and retain its structural integrity for generations, making it a long-term investment.
Low Environmental Impact
Sourcing and using local stone for construction can significantly reduce the environmental impact of your building project. Local stone minimizes transportation emissions and supports the use of indigenous building materials. By choosing stone, you align with sustainable construction practices that prioritize eco-friendly building and resource conservation.
Comparing Costs
Initial Investment
When comparing brick, block, and stone, the initial cost is an essential factor to consider. Generally, concrete blocks are the most affordable option, followed by bricks, with natural stone being the most expensive. However, it's important to balance initial costs with long-term benefits, such as durability, energy efficiency, and maintenance requirements.
Maintenance and Longevity
The durability and low-maintenance nature of brick and stone can offset their higher initial costs over time. Concrete blocks may require more frequent maintenance, particularly in terms of sealing and waterproofing. Evaluating the long-term costs and benefits of each material will help you make an informed decision.
Energy Savings
The thermal mass properties of brick and block can contribute to significant energy savings over the lifetime of your home. These materials can reduce the need for artificial heating and cooling, leading to lower utility bills. Stone, while not as effective in thermal regulation, offers unmatched durability and aesthetic appeal.
Sustainability Matters
Eco-Friendly Building
Choosing sustainable materials is a critical aspect of eco-friendly building. Brick, block, and stone all have varying degrees of sustainability. Locally sourced stone and bricks made from natural clay are generally more sustainable than concrete blocks, which have a higher carbon footprint due to cement production.
Indigenous Building Materials
Using indigenous building materials, such as local stone and clay bricks, supports regional economies and reduces transportation emissions. These materials are often better suited to the local climate, offering natural advantages in terms of durability and energy efficiency.
Environmental Considerations
Sustainable construction practices also involve considering the environmental impact of material production and disposal. Stone and brick, being natural materials, have less environmental impact compared to concrete blocks. However, advancements in green building technologies are making concrete production more sustainable.
Practical Tips for Choosing the Right Material
Assessing Your Needs
Consider your specific needs and priorities when choosing between brick, block, and stone. Factors such as budget, aesthetic preferences, climate considerations, and long-term maintenance should all play a role in your decision-making process.
Consulting with Experts
Engage with architects, builders, and sustainable construction experts to gain insights and recommendations tailored to your project. These professionals can help you understand the advantages and drawbacks of each material and guide you towards the best choice for your Arizona home.

The 7 Keys to Commercial Real Estate Investing Success
Commercial real estate tends to be one of the most profitable investments for an individual who wishes to hold the asset for a more extended period. Gaining success in the investment sector is not easy; it requires hard work, determination, time, patience, a well-established relationship with brokers and financing firms, and a regular cold-calling ability. Thus, specific keys can lead to a more stable and successful career in the commercial real estate investing sector. However, a few aspects are overlooked but remain significant in building a successful career for real estate investors.
Supporting Weblink: https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/commercial-real-estate-fundamentals
Arrange Finances:
Contacting firms or even private lenders to arrange finances is a vital step for real estate investors or developers. People even apply for government mortgage loans to smoothly run the process. However, acquiring enough funds can also be challenging, for one requires a balance sheet. This balance sheet will be different for every investor, as it predicts if one is eligible for commercial financing or not. A credible balance sheet includes valuable profit gains, a continuous flow of income, current investments of an individual, acquisition of stocks, and the ability to repay mortgage amounts after a specific span. A lender does not allow finances to the one who has suffered massive losses in his career or does not acquire income stability throughout his career. Before making investments, one should form a proper strategic plan and evaluate their goals for a more successful career in the real estate industry.
Prior Experience:
Before starting a commercial real estate investor career, one should have worked in the industry as a broker or any related profession. If the person has no industry experience at all, they should contact someone who has been investing in this industry for years. This strategy will provide better guidance on how things work in this industry. Or even a property management company can assist one while purchasing a property.
Asset Liquidity:
Liquifying assets or turning them promptly into cash is an essential key to real estate investment. It allows the investors to pay for the property's initial expenses, including the down payment, renovation costs, and closing fees.
Look for Due Diligence:
This key factor includes evaluating the property's background in the first place to avoid issues in the future. One should know the property's age, the financial and legal matters associated, the tenants who have acquired the property, and the current demographics and location. A property sold multiple times is not a good buying choice.
Underwriting:
Underwriting is a primary element that covers issues related to insurance costs. Also, it is mandatory to ensure that no one other than the owner has the title.
Well-established Team:
A successful investment means a team of professionals working together diligently. It includes experienced brokers and agents, financing firms, and property managers.
Proper Research:
One should know when is the right time to purchase the property. At times, the market slowly progresses, so one should hold the property and sell it when profit margins are high.

Journal #10 - February 5, 2024
It's February already, the second month of the year. Feels so swift, or was it?
I'm really at a loss right now. I want to do a lot of things but I can't manage my time. How do I manage my time? How can I do the things I actually want to do without compromising the things that I have to do.
Things I have to do/ Things I want to do: 1) I actually have a day job that I have to attend to. Fast. Pronto. And I have been slacking big time and I feel guilty and demotivated. I don't even know how to do this anymore. I'm just so not present everytime I'm at work.
2. I have to attend to Noa's needs --- which to be clear I want to. I want to attend to her food and cook her delicious healthy meals. But that means cramming time as well to prepare for our very own meals. This part I should have slowly but surely relegated to Aiza but I'm failing (for lack of a better word) at it.
3. Find a second earning project/job that is geared towards a lucrative and enjoyable business for me and my family.
4. GET IN SHAPE. GET INTO FUCKING SHAPE. I'm fat and unhealthy and I hate it.
5. Have a journal that I can share my passion to the world - cooking, baking, restaurant reviewing, books, movies, health and wellness, and life lessons.
6. Get back into reading. I have hoarded a million books already and I want to actually read these books.
I want to be a better version of myself.
I want to get back to a semblance of who I was when I was young - confident, funny, smart.
*have a rental business with Jed's family's condominium (thus have this renovated
*create a blog or a newsletter detailing my food journal
*make a living out of writing or reporting or making food and cookbooks
*be a cookbook author
*be a restaurant reviewer
*master at least one workout routine
*provide comfortably for Noa

PINNED POST 🌻
Hey, I'm Sunny and I am a slowly budding indie game developer and long time tumblrite - though most of my time on Tumblr has been spent in Fandom places, of course my works here may be influenced by games I have played and novels I have read (aren't we all?) but they will be 100% original in as much as anything can be.
The blog is still WIP as far as hard coding things in; real life is a bit of a trial at times but I'm working around it as best I can.
If you want an in depth run down of my current works, you can check it out here, and if you'd like a quick overview to know what I'm about feel free to click the read more below or hop into my askbox or messages. I can be slow to respond, but always eager! Can't wait to get to know some more people who share my interest.
(And now, a little bit about my current projects -- this may change over time.)
Twine IF: All the Queen's Men
My main project, currently getting a ground-up overhaul to implement more details and ideas as well as futher fleshing out characters. It's going to be a lengthy project but I'm really invested in writing it. All the Queen's Men sits where a dating sim meets strategy rpg, (If any of them become a VN, it will be this one.) The premise is that a war has been dragging on for years and the Queen of Etheria (player character) was widowed without an heir not so long ago. The royal council sees this as an opportunity for her to remarry not just for an heir, but to strengthen Etheria's position in the war. The choices made by the player Queen will have global influence, but she will also have to live with it personally. What is the price of peace? How many paths could lead there?
Twine IF: The Crown Will Fall
Formerly laid out as an RPG Maker game, The Crown Will Fall quickly became something I realized needed more description and detail than I could properly provide with RMMV. The story remains a fantasy rpg, character driven and of course strongly dependent on player choice. The premise is that the once kind and just ruler of the kingdom [player] lives in has grown cold hearted, cruel and dangerous in his paranoid assumptions, and started turning against his own people. In the grief-stricken aftermath of the destruction of your hometown, you make a vow to see justice once more. Whatever that means in the end.
Twine IF: Rewind
Rewind is a story I almost wrote as a novel before realizing what I really wanted to do with it was explore the reader's decisions and choices - something I'm seeking out now with Twine, though it's currently down the line on priority. You play an amnesiac, nonbinary person who has only the barest snatches of potentially unreliable memories and a slew of notes with no context. But with undeniable power under your skin and a world in crisis, it looks like you're going to have to take a chance.
RMMV: Homesteader
Homesteader might well be the prelude to a larger game down the road but it does stand alone. The difference being that Homesteader by itself is more of a farming / crafting sim and the full thing would be RPG meets strategy game. As it stands, your parents have been called out of retirement to aid the king once more. As your training is incomplete, you're left to finish it when they drop you off at an old fortress they'd served at. Being given the land they had left behind, it quickly becomes clear that there are going to have to be a lot of renovations and hard work to pay them off while spending time on your training, in hopes of reaching full knighthood under the guildmaster's guiding hand within three years.
Pixel Art: Farm Assets
So I am a huge fan of the farm sim genre. I've been playing Harvest Moon games since the days of the Gamecube and GBA (my favorite remains the GBA's A New Beginning though MFOMT gets a shoutout for nostalgia and DS Cute is really good) and I have logged... a lot of time on Stardew Valley, even more since I discovered mods. So I decided I would make some assets for people to enjoy, They may or may not go up on Itch depending on how happy I am with them and if I make a cohesive set.
Godot 4:
No project here -- yet! Still working on learning the program. I'd like to do some basic stuff first? minigame type things, puzzles, things that test the logic of the system against the logic of my brain.

Built-in Fireplaces with Stone Walls
When it comes to home design and architecture, the use of natural materials has always been a timeless and appealing choice. Stone, with its enduring beauty and strength, has been a favoured building material for centuries. In modern design, stone walling and interior stone wall cladding have emerged as versatile and stylish ways to incorporate this natural element into homes. In this 1000-word blog post, we'll explore the world of stone walling, delve into the benefits of interior stone wall cladding, and highlight the expertise of BKS Stonemasons in Melbourne.
The Timeless Elegance of Stone Walling:
Stone walling is the art of creating walls, both interior and exterior, using various types of stone. It's a technique that's been employed by builders and masons for centuries and is known for its enduring beauty and strength. Here are some reasons why stone walling continues to be a sought-after design choice:
Natural Aesthetics: Stone walls offer a unique, organic aesthetic that enhances the visual appeal of a space. Whether used indoors or outdoors, the natural textures, colours, and patterns of stone create a sense of timeless elegance.
Durability: Stone is one of the most durable building materials available. It can withstand harsh weather conditions when used for exterior walls and is virtually indestructible when used indoors.
Low Maintenance: Stone requires minimal maintenance. It doesn't warp, rot, or corrode like other building materials. Regular cleaning and occasional sealing are usually all that's needed to keep stone walls looking their best.
Energy Efficiency: Stone walls have excellent thermal mass properties, which means they can store heat and release it slowly. This natural insulation can contribute to improved energy efficiency in a home.
Versatility: Stone walling is incredibly versatile. It can be used for entire walls, accent walls, fireplaces, and more. Different types of stone and patterns can create diverse visual effects.
Interior Stone Wall Cladding:
Interior stone wall cladding is a technique that involves covering the existing interior walls with thin stone veneers or panels. This approach offers all the aesthetic and durability benefits of natural stone while being more cost-effective and easier to install. Here are some key advantages of interior stone wall cladding:
Cost-Effective: Interior stone wall cladding is a more affordable alternative to solid stone walls. The thinner stone veneers or panels are less expensive than large blocks of stone.
Ease of Installation: The lightweight nature of stone veneers and panels makes them easier to install compared to full stone blocks. This can result in quicker and more straightforward renovation projects.
Aesthetic Versatility: Interior stone wall cladding offers a wide range of options in terms of colours, textures, and patterns. It allows homeowners to achieve their desired look without compromising on the authenticity of natural stone.
Space Optimization: Stone cladding doesn't take up as much space as traditional stone walls. This can be especially beneficial in rooms where space is at a premium.
Increased Property Value: The addition of interior stone wall cladding can enhance the value of a property. It adds an upscale and luxurious feel to any space, making it more appealing to potential buyers.

Applications of Stone Walling and Cladding:
Stone walling and interior stone wall cladding can be applied in various ways to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of a space. Here are some popular applications:
Living Room Accent Wall: A stone-clad accent wall in the living room can become a focal point and create a cozy, rustic atmosphere.
Kitchen Backsplash: Stone wall cladding in the kitchen, particularly behind the stove or sink, adds a touch of elegance and practicality.
Bathroom Walls: Stone-clad bathroom walls create a spa-like ambiance and are easy to clean.
Exterior Facades: Stone walling is commonly used for exterior walls, enhancing the curb appeal and offering long-lasting protection from the elements.
Fireplace Surrounds: A stone-clad fireplace surround is a timeless addition to any living space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Commercial Spaces: Stone walling is also popular in commercial spaces such as restaurants, hotels, and retail stores, where it adds a touch of luxury and sophistication.
Challenges and Considerations:
While stone walling and interior stone wall cladding offer numerous benefits, it's important to consider some challenges and factors:
Cost: Natural stone, whether used for full walls or cladding, can be more expensive than other wall materials. However, the long-term benefits often outweigh the initial cost.
Maintenance: Stone walls require regular cleaning and occasional sealing to maintain their appearance. This maintenance is relatively simple but necessary.
Weight: Solid stone walls can be heavy, so structural considerations are crucial. Cladding with stone veneers or panels is a lighter alternative.
Aesthetic Choices: Choosing the right type of stone and design can be challenging. Consulting with professionals like BKS Stonemasons is essential to achieve the desired look.
Conclusion:
Stone walling and interior stone wall cladding bring the timeless beauty and durability of natural stone into modern homes and buildings. Whether you're looking to create a cozy living room, a stylish kitchen, or an impressive exterior facade, stone offers endless possibilities.

Comfortember Day 1: Hugs
(this is moved from an old blog so its from 2022)
Elio knew what was going on. They knew what was about to happen. They had relived these events over and over again. That didn’t stop the fear and anxiety that always accompanied them. They just had to ride this out.
They walked around the outside of their small home, glancing at their checklist as they walked. They couldn’t make out the words but they knew that everything on it was checked off. The home was more of a shack so Elio didn’t like calling it a house, especially when the main house on the property was within walking distance. The old wood creaked in the wind, being held together mainly by the renovations and reinforcements Elio added to it. Copper and steel stood out against the old wood. The wind whipped at their raincoat and made the rain feel like tiny needles against their face. The cold bit at their wrists and hands, making them shake from the cold and Elio’s nerves. The air smelled of moist earth and storm, thunder echoing in the distance confirming that the worst was on its way.
Elio made their way back to the front door and walked in, setting their checklist down and turning to one of their machines. The shack was filled with Elio’s inventions and half-finished projects. Even without the storm raging outside, it was always noisy, the sounds of gears turning, lightbulbs buzzing, or steam being released from different machines filling the silence at any given time. The air smelled of oil and metal, mixing with the scent of the damp earth Elio tracked in during their hurry. The shack was always a mess but today was even worse. The screen Elio stood in front of showed a large black-and-white picture of the world that would change every few seconds to update in real-time. Elio watched as a swirling mass tore through the continent, leaving just emptiness in its trail. It was slowly making it's way closer to Elio’s location and they knew it would be there any minute now. This was the worst part.
They turned and headed to a large control board next to the front door. They started pressing buttons and flipping switches, a process that was mere muscle memory to them now, but during that first time was extremely anxiety-inducing. Elio had to keep checking to make sure they were doing everything right. Eventually, the control board showed that the machine was slowly warming up.
Elio suddenly heard screaming coming from outside and without thinking, they threw the front door open. The world had gone to chaos in what only felt like a few minutes since they had come inside. Across the field from their home was their family's main house and where they had previously lived before moving to the renovated shack. They watched with silent horror as their childhood home was ripped apart in the storm, wood, and furniture flying up into the sky and then disappearing. They could hear their siblings screaming in horror from inside the house as they tried to escape the storm. Outside, just in front of the house stood Elio’s parents, standing motionless despite the raging wind. Elio called out to them, screaming for them to run, to do anything, for their parents to just listen to them for once in their life. If they heard Elio they didn’t show it as they simply walked right into the storm, disappearing without a trace.
Elio felt hot tears running down their face as they watched. Another scream caught their attention as their youngest sister, Ruby, ran across the field toward them. Elio glanced at the control panel, seeing that there was a little bit of time left before the machines would activate. Elio reached out with one hand, bracing their shoulder against the doorframe as they felt the strong wind trying to pull them out of the house. They called out to their sister, encouraging her to run and that she would make it. Elio knew she wouldn’t.
Ruby ran towards the house, nearly tripping over herself as the wind almost knocked her over. Elio could see as she got closer how she was crying, and Elio knew their expression probably matched at that moment. Ruby was so close now, just a few feet away from the small porch and Elio wondered if maybe this time would be different if this time Ruby would make it.
Elio reached out as Ruby got closer, hoping desperately to save her. Just as Ruby was about to step onto the porch, the machine activated, and in a flash of blinding light Elio was thrown back and Ruby was gone.
Elio shot up from their bed, crying out in pain before they caught themselves and bit into their blanket instead. They reached up and held their shoulder as a burning pain went through their arm. The same arm that was reaching for their baby sister just moments ago. She was only 12 years old…
“Elio?! Is what's wrong?” Calarel asked as she threw the door open. She had just woken up, her bright red hair still up in a loose bun and the blanket she had been using thrown over her shoulders like a cloak
“My arm…” Elio managed to get out before another wave of pain washed over them. Flashes of their sister and the injury playing on repeat behind her eyes.
“What about your arm? How can I help?” Calarel asked, gently pulling the blankets back to get a better look.
Elio hesitated before looking down at their arm. In replacement of their normal arm was one made of metal. An image of their shoulder and upper bicep, ripped and bloody flashed before Elio’s eyes and they were forced to squeeze them closed as they experienced another wave of pain. They knew their arm was gone, they had been living without it for years now. They knew that everything was ok, that this pain wasn’t real.
“Is it malfunctioning?” Calarel asked, sitting on the edge of the bed. Her eyebrows knit together in worry as she watched Elio, feeling helpless.
“No,” Elio breathed out, taking a deep breath as they tried to calm down, “It's nothing.”
“You are not doing this right now,” Calarel said, fixing Elio with a look. “You are clearly in pain. What is going on?”
“It's…” Elio started, forcing themselves to breathe as they tried to explain. “It’s called… Phantom pain. My arm feels pain… as if it’s still there… There’s nothing you can do about it… I just have to wait it out. Go back to bed.”
“I am not leaving you to just sit here in pain,” Calarel stated, giving Elio a look that left no room to argue. “Did something cause this?”
Images of the dream flashed in front of Elio’s eyes and they couldn’t help the flinch, gripping their shoulder tighter as the pain continued. Calarel watched them for a moment, observing them as she thought.
“You had a nightmare didn’t you?”
Elio could only nod, not meeting her eyes. They felt kinda childish, having such a reaction to just a dream.
“Hey, it’s ok. Nightmares happen to everyone,” Calarel said, ever the empath in knowing just how Elio felt. It was kinda creepy sometimes. “Do you want to talk about it? When I was younger my dad always told me that if I talked about a nightmare I would never have it again. Only if you feel comfortable of course.”
Elio considered it for a moment. The thought of never having the nightmare again sounded appealing but they knew it most likely wouldn’t work and they did not want to burden Calarel with their problems when she had enough of her own.
“Can’t…” They said, keeping their eyes on their lap. Elio tensed up as another wave of pain crashed down on them.
“That's ok… how about we talk about something else to take your mind off of it?” Calarel suggested. Elio nodded, liking the sound of a distraction. Callarel smiled and looked around the room for something to talk about. Her eyes landed on the workbench that was still covered in tools and parts from Elio’s most recent project.
“How about you tell me about what you were working on before you went to sleep? Or should I say, before you passed out at your desk and Rye and I had to basically drag you to bed,” She said, a slight smirk on her face.
“Don’t… remember that… didn’t happen,” Elio said, managing to joke a little. Elio took a breath before looking up at their desk, trying to remember where they left off. “It's a communication device… for if-no, when we get separated…”
Elio struggled to talk through the pain at first, having to take pauses to catch their breath or wait out another wave. Calarel sat there, patiently waiting for them to explain at their own pace. Eventually, as Elio got more into their info-dumping about things that went right over Calarel’s head, the pain started to lessen and Elio could breathe normally again.
Elio yawned, feeling as if all of their energy had been drained. Calarel looked as if she was ready to go back to sleep too. The pain was nothing but a dull echo now, barely even noticeable.
“Thank you,” Elio said, giving her a small smile.
“No problem,” Calarel said, not teasing Elio about the rare smile like they almost expected them to. “Do you mind if I give you a hug?”
The question caught Elio off guard a bit but they nodded hesitantly, not usually one for physical contact. Calarel leaned forward and hugged Elio gently but firmly. Elio hesitated before reaching up with their good arm and wrapping it around Calarel’s back, feeling a bit awkward as it had been a long time since anyone had hugged them. Despite the awkwardness, it was a pleasant feeling that ended all too soon as Calarel pulled away. She stood up and pulled her blanket tighter around her shoulders as she got ready to head back to her own bed.
“Sweet dreams, and feel free to come get me if you have another nightmare.”
“I should be the one comforting you guys if anything,” Elio started, “I am the oldest out of everyone here.”
“Whatever,” Calarel said, chuckling and rolling her eyes as she started to leave.
“Goodnight… and thank you,” Elio said as she walked away. Calarel stopped at the door and smiled softly before shutting it and leaving Elio to fall back asleep. This time, Elio’s mind was quiet as they drifted off.
