Jeff the Killer propoganda: He is an iconic part of late 2000s-2010s emo culture! He is The internet creepy boy serial killer. As far as I'm concerned, all other creepy boy love interests in fanfic are iterations of him, like, he is the Original. Emo boys wanted to cosplay him for Halloween, emo girls wanted to date him or get stabbed by him or both. I know that the emo spongebob edit is also iconic from the same era and I do respect it, but I just think Jeff deserves to be in the battle for more rounds. He's the second most popular creepypasta character of all time (I'm not gonna pretend like Slenderman isn't the first lol), and he's the MOST emo one.
