Mr. Torgue wants you to blow up the Slaughter Domes - Borderlands 3 Event

Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught event During Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught event you have an increased chance of getting legendary loot from the bosses in the Slaughter Domes. With the April 16, 2020 hotfix Gearbox Software has increased the number of dedicated loot drops from Circles of Slaughter bosses. You were already able to get a lot of legendary items in the Slaughter Shaft but this might be a good reason to start farming the other Circle of Slaughters. The Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught mini-event will be active until 9:00 AM PT on April 23. Slaughter Shaft – Raging Titan You will encounter the Raging Titan in the final round of the Slaughter Shaft. He will drop the following legendary items: Zheitsev’s Eruption – COV assault rifle The Butcher – Hyperion Shotgun Shredifier – Vladof Assault Rifle Tina’s Hippity Hopper – Torgue Grenade Cistern of Slaughter – Alicritious Vanda You will encounter the Alicritious Vanda in the final round of the Cistern of Slaughter. It will drop the following legendary items: Ripper – Dahl SMG Baby Maker ++ – Tediore Pistol Scourge – Torgue Rocket Launcher Slaughterstar 3000 – Red Rain /  Blue Fire You will encounter Red Rain and Blue Fire in the final round of the Slaughterstar 3000. I finally completed SlaughterStar 3000; Red Rain kept bouncing me off the map and invalidating my progress bc the game would crash

Finally re-tried to solo the Slaughterstar 3000, finished it, and when I attempted to go get Blue’s Legendary drop the game froze and quit. Loaded back in and found out that it had failed me bc I hadn’t turned the mission in. I am in agony.

In Borderlands 3, it's noted that any planet with Eridium outcroppings has an Eridian Vault. So, that begs the question of why Eridium shows up in Athenas despite the fact that there's no Vault shown or known to exist on the planet of Maya's birth. I'm of the mind that there is a Vault, but ancient Sirens opened it, destroyed the Vault Monster inside, looted the Vault, and sealed it completely.

Interesting theory, but there are a few holes in it. For one, Eridium did not actually begin appearing on Pandora until after the opening of the Vault of the Destroyer. While Promethea has had a Vault open before the Vault of the Rampager, Eden-6 has not. The Jakobs family has spent generations ensuring no would-be Vault Hunter could open the Vault of the Graveward because they didn't want to start another war between the Corporations. With this in mind, why does Eridium appear on the surface of Eden-6 before opening the Vault of the Graveward?

Another thing I would like to point out is I find it highly unlikely the Sirens would coalesce to open a potential Vault on Athenas, especially after they scattered across the six galaxies before Nyriad's return to Nekrotafeyo.

This is a bit of a stretch, but I think the most likely in-lore explanation for why Eridium appears on Athenas is due to influx of Sirens that flock to the planet, as noted by Typhon DeLeon.

Finally, and an admittedly more boring explanation, is that the level designers wanted every Location in Borderlands 3 to drop Eridium in some capacity, whether it be from breakable Eridium outcroppings, Eridium containers, completing Optional Objectives in the three available Circles of Slaughter (Cistern of Slaughter, The Slaughter Shaft, and Slaughterstar 3000), or defeating Bosses.

IDK if it’s the buffs and effects from the broken hearts event or just because I respecced into a tankier build for Fl4k but if it’s the former then this event is a good time to do Circle of Slaughter missions if you’ve been struggling with them Finally made it through Slaughterstar 3000
