SL characters as movie stars AU!
Sung Jin-woo
has been acting since he was a teenager. Though, he only gets lesser roles until he grows in the acting industry, thus earning the "glow up" as well the more he takes on roles. By the time he's in his twenties, Jin-woo receives lead roles and has never left ever since due to the impact of his performance that is hard to be seen as a supporting character. His movies range from drama, adventure, and action — though, he spend most of his time in the action genre. Jin-woo does his own stunts as he does martial arts and working out as his hobbies. Whenever he gets partnered up with someone, dating rumors always spark up, so he tends to avoid having a partner for the sake of protecting his zone. He improvises some of his lines and is very professional.
Cha Hae-in
a former athlete to one of the country's biggest stars. Due to her sweetheart persona, she often gets roles in soap operas, dramas, and romance, though she wants to take on the action genre to hone her skills. Her management got her stunt doubles, much to her dismay, until they trusted her enough to do her own stunts. Hae-in's skills are very realistic that every time she cries in her scenes, several of the production cry as well, thus allowing her to earn many awards. She gets along with her co-workers and is even said to be that some of her leading men develop a crush on her. However, she has not dated at least one of them, even outside her career, as she chooses to focus on her job.
Woo Jin-chul
a star who has been featured in international movies, hence becoming a multilingual because of his passion in learning new languages before his departure from South Korea. He is usually stern, but is very friendly to his co-workers, as well as his fans. Jin-chul takes on both protagonist and antagonist roles, although he secretly likes his villain roles more than his hero ones. He does his own stunts and is skillful with holding guns.
Choi Jong-in
most of his roles are those wherein he's the son of a millionaire or just a rich person who owns a big company. He hardly gets main roles, but the impact in his performances even as a supporting character are what made him prominent in the industry. Jong-in also has roles where he's an antagonist, which his fans prefer more; it is also said that some of his castmates or co-workers feel quite intimidated by him.
Baek Yoon-ho
a prominent action star who does his own stunts. Not once he has appeared in movies that are anything but action. Despite being in his twenties, Yoon-ho receive roles where he is a single father who will do anything to protect his family, thus capturing the hearts of the young actors and actresses he works with. He also helps his castmates in training for fighting scenes, thus forming a bond with them as well. Yoon-ho has his own charity that he donates a sufficient amount of money in for helping tigers and other wild animals.
Lee Ju-hee
one of the industry's dearest sweethearts. Her movies are mostly in the slice of life genre, specifically romance. Regardless of what she believes, Ju-hee never fails to create chemistry with the ones she works with, especially to those who have partnered up with her. She receives both main and supporting roles. Lee Ju-hee may have appeared in horror and action films, but she prefers to stay in the slice of life genre despite not minding to step out of her comfort zone.
Lim Tae-gyu
a actor whose roles are primarily supporting, yet has many main roles as well. His skill ranges from drama, comedy, and action. Tae-gyu mostly does his own stunts, always allotting his time in training once he receives the script. He's charismatic, yet isn't necessarily great when it comes to romantic chemistry because of the vibe he frequently gives out. He's friends with many famous stars such as Baek Yoon-ho, Choi Jong-in, Ma Dong-wook, Min Byung-gyu, Sung Jin-woo, and Cha Hae-in, and has revealed of his wish of being able to be in the same film as them together.
Min Byung-gyu
an actor who has shown up in various genres. When it comes to slice of life, Byung-gyu mostly gets leading roles, and sometimes, he gets the "second male lead" roles, which brings more impact to the viewers. But as for other genres like action and horror, Byung-gyu takes on supporting roles; he is one of the actors who has a stunt double and still gets to do certain stunts depending on his capability. And when it comes to the historical genre, that is when Byung-gyu gets most excited and believes he does his roles better in period dramas than the rest, partly because he is a big fan of historical dramas which he views his other roles differently. Byung-gyu is great at improvising his lines that the director only has to tell him the background of the scene and Byung-gyu knows what to do next, which somehow makes some actors feel challenged as they are not sure if they can go along with Byung-gyu's improvised lines. But, Byung-gyu always does his best to help his co-stars and not make them feel pressured.
Eun-seok
one of the country's lesser known actors who is known for getting background roles. Eun-seok hardly appears in films, yet is friends with a lot of big stars in the industry. The reason being that he got severely injured in set once, which has scarred him and chose to no longer show up in filming unless he feels like doing so.
Yoo Jin-ho
a supporting actor who is well-known for being Sung Jin-woo's "sidekick" as he had been acting alongside him for years. Yoo Jin-ho specializes in roles that are comedic relief — he doesn't mind it since that means he doesn't have a lot of lines to memorize. Despite being an actor himself, Jin-ho is not afraid to unleash his inner "fanboy" when it comes to expressing his support in actors and actresses he admires.
Park Hee-jin
an actress who is known for her background or supporting roles. Hee-jin excels from soap operas to action movies. Her roles are usually helping the main character and defending them from the antagonist(s).
Ma Dong-wook
a versatile actor in his fifties who has different roles in various genres, whether it be a father or someone the main characters seek help from. He shares his experiences to his fellow stars as his way of helping them in filming and has a lot of actors/actresses wishing to act in the same movie as him; not because of his talent, but also his kind nature that he treats everyone younger than him as his children.
Liu Zhigang
China's rising action star. A likeable and charming actor whose roles are both protagonist and antagonist. Zhigang does his own stunts and likes to go to the extreme where no editing shall be involved. He's one of the faces in the industry whose management cannot simply allow to be part of a film unless the paycheck is immense and does not tarnish Zhigang's talent. In every film he is in, it receives many awards that reach up to internationals. Zhigang has acted in international films, which makes him fluent in English after being casted alongside stars in different countries.
Thomas Andre
a powerful actor in the USA who is popular for his antagonistic roles. Thomas enjoys playing the bad guy. And what makes him likeable is that he donates half of his money to charities and has his own foundation for children with special needs and disabilities. He is funny and tends to joke around in set, along in conventions where he gets to communicate with fans and gives them the best time in their lives.
Laura
an actress who excels most in the action genre. She films her scenes effortlessly and smoothly without needing a second take. Laura learns martial arts off-screen and knows how to hold a gun; she is also sassy and has the kind of humor that makes her co-stars adore working with her despite her stern and cold demeanor.
Goto Ryuji
a versatile actor in Japan who appears in dramas and action. His roles are mostly in the villain side, which what makes him intimidating to other actors. Goto prefers to work with those who are professional and hardly messes up more than twice otherwise he thinks they are wasting his time. However, he is usually gently to those who are younger and new to the acting industry, he looks out for them and won't hesitate to scold the production if the first time actors ever get hurt in set.

something so personal about the parallel that is travis saying "quit acting like such a saint" to natalie (someone who is constantly being thought guilty of sin- though they never had sex) and shauna loving the saints because 'they were all so tragic' and then eulogizing jackie as a saint (someone who travis had sex with before her death)
they're so who is the lamb and who is the knife coded
#not to mention shauna wanted to have sex with jackie / travis wanted to have sex with natalie but couldn’t bc of societal implications#jackie is thought to be a priss for not having sex with jeff but it was bc she didn’t love him and wanted to save herself#and natalie is thought to be a sl*t bc she didn’t save herself even though she wanted to do it with someone she loved#and she was always going to be thought of as one bc people will make their own assumptions of you#which is the only reason why jackie even stays with jeff#beyond that they’re the perfect example of self preservation over selfishness#or rather it as a concept because they’re both hiding from themselves in the real world and in the woods#(and I love them both for it)#natalie sacrifices herself daily willingly and jackie wouldn't lift a finger at least when stranded for anyone unless she were forced to#bc I think deep down natalie has put herself in danger both for others but also bc she’s suicidal and jackie is rightfully selfish bc she#doesn’t want to die. but we’re not ready for that conversation#natalie indirectly caused the death of another person and jackie unintentionally committed ‘the ultimate sin’ but only one will be damned#just thinking#also this isn’t me saying that having sex or sex before marriage is a sin I’m only referencing christianity/religious imagery in the show#nor is su*cide or thoughts of su*cide#yellowjackets#they are NEVER beating the laura / audrey allegations (and yes I’m aware they’re very different)#natalie x jackie#jackienat#k

yeah, yeah, all the main yjs have dead (or comatose wife and hs girlfriend continually rejected by death in taissa's case) girlfriends but the only one actually equal to jackie as virgin laura palmer is the other dead main character.
mirror, mirror + apparition haunting surviving partner when they enter the lost one's bedroom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
romantic slo-mo head turn toward the camera/yellowjacket who loves them most
Tumblr media Tumblr media
partners find their corpses with a friend trying to tear them away/comfort them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
both deaths had elements of suicide as travis was trying to get close to death (and was def courting death if he was willing to do it without someone else to press the button) and jackie could have gone back inside at any time. yes, she wanted to live if shauna would just love her again, but she could not survive if shauna and the rest of the team had all rejected her. also lottie and laura lee were involved in both deaths, though in very different roles.
surviving partners grieve at reunion looking at pictures of lost love while someone else really into the partner looks on beside them (jeff's not in the shot but we all know he's right beside shauna)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and can't ignore the natalie connection which brought them together to lose their virginity. both disapproved of bobby farley, though travis had a more personal interest. both were generally uncomfortable with nat's sexual experience due to their own sexual insecurities. this led to jackie unknowingly breaking them up (she could not have foreseen travis's reaction without knowing his history of bullying by bobby) and then taking advantage of their split to have sex before she died. she wasn't really acting out of desire or any attraction to travis so much as a misguided and futile desire to get even with shauna, who had pulled ahead of her in the sexual experience race in the worst way. travis did not really want to be with her either but likely gave in because some part of her bitter speech touched his own feelings about never having sex while the person he loved already had.
and then what happened after the disappointing doomcoming sex that they probably both regretted? both were promptly punished for it, travis especially for having had sex with jackie but not being equally available to the rest of the yellowjackets. when he tried to escape their drugged-up attempted gangbang he instantly turned from sex object to prey. to meat. let us never forget who the intended first sacrifice was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if the cannibalism of jackie's corpse was a natural extension of girls' bodies never fully belonging to them and being consumed by others, as i have seen posited, then travis had a place at the feast just like all the yellowjackets. he may not have their years of experience being objectified but he did have that night where almost all the girls felt entitled to his body in every way, to have sex with, to slaughter, and presumably, to eat. one could say he was one of the girlies from that night on. problem is, though natalie helped save him from being a ritual sacrifice that night, he could not truly escape for good. like in a final destination movie Death and darkness could only be delayed, continuing to hunt him into adulthood until he was finally claimed. thus his girlification became complete, finalized, and irreversible when he entered dead gf/wife mode in natalie's sl, complete with the standard dead wife pose shown above, which appeared twice in nat's memory. more than laura lee and certainly more than kristin/crystal, travis is the fridged girl haunting the narrative, existing only to die and thereby drive the plot forward for his more important love interest.

Wait you were the Laura who loved Robert and Andy/Katie and hated the idea of Seb not being Robert's son after all he went through.
I feel like I remember you. I used to talk to you.
But you unfollowed a bunch of people who were up for Robert not being the real father and then I feel like you just dissapeared without maming a big fuss like other have done. 😂😂😂
I never hated Seb as the weirdos who wanted him dead I loved him as much as I adore Robert because he was my fave.
Yes, it was me. I was mostly active on my old account, victoriasugden ( @victoriasugden1 ) I privtated the url victoriasugden, than I moved over here old url peterbeale and then when I left the fandom I changed it to my current url. I didn't really tell anyone apart from a hand full of people I talked to a lot that I was leaving because I didn't think people would care. I'm not special.
I left when Rebecca took Seb and left with Ross - because I thought it was ridiculous to put the boys through all that and then take Seb away after Aaron had come to terms with it. Like what was the point?
Also I've been watching soap since I was a kid - I could see the writing on the wall, the new producer at the time who took over for Iain MacLeod clearly didn't like robron, or at the very least Robert. Sorry can't remember her name. I knew it was going to go downhill from there and I was right so I was very happy I got off that train before it went off the cliff so to speak. I've been casual watching since Ryan left. Can't say I've been too impressed, by far my favourite addition has been Caleb, and that's mostly because I've had a crush on William Ash since I was like 10.
Re Seb. I was never thrilled with the sl - I just tried to make do with what we were given. They got Rebecca pregnant, they had her keep the kid - I wasn't in the writing room, so I just tried to make do. Unlike so many others, when I no longer was willing to do that, instead of kicking off I just quietly left the fandom. And I stand with the like 0.1% of the fandom that shipped Katie/Robert.
It's very funny, cause a couple of days ago I found a copy of TV NOW floating in my room from 2017, it's the Robron wedding edition. Talk about a blast from the past! I really do miss the fandom, not the drama though - but the community. I especially miss how fun it was to live blog! I haven't really joined another fandom since then, I just float around tumblr, giving my opinion and what not.
If you ever want to shoot me a message, feel free!

Part 1 I Part 2 I Part 3 I Part 4 I Part 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"My God!" Charles Elias said. "That's awful! The poor girl..."
Tumblr media
"Oh, yes, yes," the maid said, "Very tragic. But to see a troll! Could you imagine? There's whispers she might be cursed, troll-touched as she is."
"Are you done?" A voice rang out across the kitchen and a bolt of ice ran down Charles Elias' spine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh, Laura!" The maid said. "This young man here was waiting for you."
Tumblr media
"I can see that," Laura said, glaring daggers at the maid, "You didn't think to come fetch me?"
"Oh, no," the maid said, "I was sure you would turn up soon enough. Besides, the poor man ought to know what he's getting himself into, don't you think?"
Tumblr media
Laura and the maid both turned to look at Charles Elias at once, and he desperately wished for the floor to open up and swallow him whole.
Tumblr media
"I see..." Laura said. "So he's a gossip too, then? That's good to know."
Tumblr media
"A gossip, hah!" The maid laughed. "He seems perfectly fine to me. Don't you agree, young man?"
"Uh--"
Tumblr media
"Oh, forget it!" Laura snapped. "Come on, Mr. Park. We're leaving."
Part 1 I Part 2 I Part 3 I Part 4 I Part 5
Summary of Part 3:
The maid told Charles Elias about an incident in Laura's childhood. Her and her mother and father had been traveling by wagon back home when their horse startled and the wagon fell off a cliff. In the aftermath only Laura survived, albeit wounded, and when she was rescued she told people that what had startled their horse had been a troll.
Historical Info
Let's talk about trolls and superstition!
Tumblr media
Art by John Bauer (1882 - 1915)
So the troll in Scandinavian folklore/superstition is a creature of the wilderness. There's like a quintillion different troll stories and their appearances and behaviour can be quite varied from place to place, story to story. Sometimes they're hostile, sometimes they're friendly. Sometimes they're human-like, sometimes they're very not.
In The Genre of Trolls by Camilla Asplund Ingemark, she summaries the varied views of trolls based on location in the following way:
"The Central Swedish trolls dwell in mountains, those in Southern Sweden inhabit mounds, and Norwegian trolls live in the high mountains. The looks of the troll may be pictured in various ways, but its ugliness is a common feature. In Central Sweden the troll can be of human height, whereas the Northern and Western parts of the country favour huge trolls (Hartmann 1936: 60–65)"
Since there's a lot of research that has been done into folklore by smarter minds than me, I won't make any further proclamations on the workings of trolls as a whole. Other than to keep in mind that views and stories were varied and different, but the throughline seems to be that trolls are often to be feared and avoided.
In the story of what happened to Laura's family we have a horrific and traumatising accident attributed to a troll. Obviously trolls aren't actually real (although Laura and others believe them to be) and so whatever she truly saw was most likely twisted by trauma and injury into something she had heard of in stories.
In my pictures I chose to have the troll look like a mix between a goat and a man, inspired by the following quotes from the previously quoted text:
"The ambiguity between human and animal characteristics is an important one"
&
"One troll from the Åland Islands shows itself as a he-goat with terrible horns and a beard enveloping the entire hill where it lives (SLS 59: 48–49)"
It intentionally looks almost like very typical depictions of the Devil, since after Sweden became Christian "the troll was assimilated into the image of the Devil"
Now you may be wondering why Laura is being treated so poorly when she was simply the victim of a horrible accident (and supposed troll encounter).
Partially this is just basic human cruelty. Laura, for one reason or another, was seen as an acceptable person to mistreat.
It is also a matter of people fearing those who have had encounters with trolls. People surviving a troll encounter can be viewed in a few different ways. Sometimes they are simply victims of unfortunate circumstances, other times they are transgressors who get punished.
Often in the stories mentioned by The Genre of Trolls the people who have encounters with trolls where they survive (relatively) unscathed are in some ways tied to the trolls. Whether it be a troll expecting a future favour or gift, or wishing to re-capture a previous victim. Sometimes in stories where someone has a non-deadly encounter with a troll they may be gifted a "second sight" of sorts, allowing them to see through troll-made illusions or tricks. In these cases the people are "trapped between different versions of otherness, first a supranormal otherness, then a socially defined alienness".
In Laura's case she is not quite thought to possess any supernatural abilities, but the people in the village see her as someone who could be at risk of either a repeated troll encounter (which could put others at risk) or someone who could unknowingly owe the troll something since she lived when others didn't.
In essence her being mistreated by others is them seeing her connection to trolls as a sort of 'otherness', and as we all know many people in the past and now don't appreciate those who do not fit in.

80 LottieLee?
80.  “Will you teach me how to kiss?”
It was the day before they started their senior year of high school, and Lottie, feeling equally isolated and suffocated by the emptiness of her own house, escaped toward the one place that felt much more like home: Laura Lee’s bedroom.
It took some convincing and her best smile, but Laura Lee finally helped her climb through her window and locked her bedroom’s room. Lottie was aware of two very important things. One, this wasn’t easy for Laura Lee, who preferred to keep her door always open as her parents requested. Two, Laura Lee, despite putting up a fight, enjoyed these stolen, little clandestine moments as much as Lottie, if not more. Which was why Lottie was so disconcerted to see her so out of herself that day.
“Are you okay?” she wondered softly. She was sitting on Laura Lee’s desk chair instead of beside her on the bed because, as much as she enjoyed carefully testing the girls’ usual rules, not only did she seriously respect her boundaries, but she was terrified of pushing too much and, in turn, getting pushed away.
“I’m okay,” Laura Lee replied. She blinked repeatedly and smiled at Lottie. That angelic smile could trick most people. Not Lottie.
“Are you sure? I’m usually the one that zones out  every ten minutes on a good day.”
“You don’t,” Laura Lee protested weakly, but Lottie had already effectively pulled down her wall. “I’m just nervous, I guess. Senior year and all. There are all these… expectations, you know?”
Lottie thought about it for a long moment. She counted Laura Lee’s nervous habits and found herself slightly confused. “You don’t usually care about that kind of stuff,” Lottie said softly, leaning forward, desperate to be closer to Laura Lee already, “Is it anything specific?”
Laura Lee took a deep breath and stared at the ceiling. Lottie wasn’t sure if she was looking for good and just away from Lottie’s eyes. After a good moment of hesitation, Laura Lee, defeated, sighed and admitted, “What if this is the year I finally… meet someone?”
Lottie immediately frowned, but she was strong enough to restrain herself from visibly flinching. That was not something she had expected to hear from Laura Lee. Suddenly, a brand new fear took over her entire chest. If the idea of losing Laura Lee was usually terrible, the concept of losing her to someone else was ten times worse. Lottie almost zoned out as she had previously mentioned, but she fought the instinct so she could ask, “Do you want that? Is… Is there someone?”
Much to Lottie’s growing confusion, Laura Lee only stared at her as if she was supposed to know the answer to the question. As if she had missed something vital from her closest friend’s life.
“I’m just worried that… Hypothetically, if I met someone I like, and they liked me back, and they wanted to kiss me… What if I ruined it? What if I’m terrible at it?”
In those few sentences, Lottie’s heart went through a rollercoaster of emotions like she had never experienced. Every half second her mind focused on something different. Laura Lee’s choice of pronouns in her question, the way she stared at her, the thought of Laura Lee’s kiss, the image of Laura Lee kissing someone else, the vulnerability in her questions…
“You could never. It would be the best thing that could ever happen to this person’s life,” Lottie answered, a little embarrassed by how breathless it came out of her. It wouldn’t be just this person’s luckiest moment, it would be Lottie’s greatest source of envy. “Besides,” Lottie added, thinking of her own few experiences that had noticeably dwindled at the same pace that her fondness for Laura Lee grew, “Kissing isn’t that big of a deal. In fact, most people aren’t even good at it, and-”
“Would you show me?” Laura Lee blurted out. “I mean, tell me, or, uh, well…” With every stuttered word that made Lottie’s heart skip a beat, Laura Lee blushed more and more. Finally, she stopped herself with a shaky breath and after closing her eyes slightly for a second, she looked at Lottie’s eyes and calmly asked her, “Will you teach me how to kiss?”
“Laura Lee…” Lottie sighed. She could feel her whole body trembling, and she lost sight of the part of herself that tried her hardest to be mindful of Laura Lee’s usual boundaries that she liked to break with Lottie. As if guided by a magnetic impulse, Lottie leaned toward Laura Lee, moving closer, even though this meant that she slid off the chair, and landed on her knees in front of Laura Lee, who was sitting on the edge of the bed. “Are you sure?” Lottie asked her.
Laura Lee nodded timidly, she seemed at a loss for words when she noticed how close Lottie suddenly was, and yet she also shifted closer to the edge of the bed. “Do you want to?” She wondered so quietly that Lottie feared she was making the words up in her mind.
“I do,” Lottie answered with the full truth. Because she caught a hint of a smile in Laura Lee’s face, because she was certain she knew her better than anyone else, and because she couldn’t imagine lying about this and wasting this moment, she added, “I do… but not exactly so you could kiss someone else.”
“Oh,” Laura Lee said, her eyes barely glancing at Lottie’s lips before quickly returning to her lips. “Okay,” she added. She looked zoned out in a different way than before, in a way that Lottie suspected both of them would come to like.
Laura Lee’s words, however, made Lottie smile a little playfully if only to hide her extreme relief. “So it’s not because you want someone else?” she asked, and accidentally let her smile grow into a sincere, overjoyed grin that only Laura Lee could get so easily out of her.
“I only want you, Lottie,” Laura Lee confessed. She was whispering, smiling, blushing, fidgeting with her hands, doing a little million things that had stolen Lottie’s hands a while ago.
Encouraged by having her feelings reciprocated, Lottie stood a little taller on her knees, placed her hands for support on Laura Lee’s bed, and asked the most important question of her life so far, “Laura Lee, can I kiss you?”
“Please do,” Laura Lee answered, this time with a bright smile that was an answer on its own.
Laura Lee leaned in, and when Lottie cradled her cheek with a hand, she tilted her head toward the touch. Lottie guided her slowly, feeling like it was her first kiss all over again, trembling with anticipation and never before so desperate to make a good impression and do something right.
The second their lips brushed together, Lottie sighed contentedly first. She discovered that she didn’t need to be so nervous, so careful, or wait for so long. They fit perfectly. Laura Lee tasted as sweet as Lottie had been dreaming of, felt safer than Lottie could’ve imagined, and chased after her lips when Lottie tried to pull away in a way that promised a lifetime more of perfect kisses like that.

I think about what all the uncles/godfathers Su-ho (could've) had:
Woo Jin-chul - responsible, mature, barely shows up due to his work, but if Su-ho happens to stop by, he will let him sit on his lap and cuddle then watches him play around.
Yoo Jin-ho - personal favorite, gives Su-ho toys and plays with him on the floor, spoils him especially when Jin-woo isn't around, and makes him laugh.
Baek Yoon-ho - sends tiger plushies to Su-ho, sits him on his broad shoulders, lets Su-ho call him "Kitty" or "Big Kitty", watches movies with him, and teaches him how to "deal" with bullies.
Choi Jong-in - gives Su-ho some new clothes, fixes his hair if he notices it's messy, the protective uncle, and helps him with homework.
Thomas Andre - a huge softie around Su-ho, tells him various stories, teaches him how to speak English, gives weapons in his birthday (which Hae-in had to hide before her son sees them and fawns over the sharp objects to no end), and also teaches him how to "deal" with bullies.
Liu Zhigang - gives him panda plushies, is gentle around Su-ho, and the kind of uncle who gets proud of him over basically anything.
Min Byung-gyu - picks Su-ho up from daycare for the sole reason to spoil him with ice cream afterward, helps him with history, one of the "safe" people Jinhae trusts to watch over their son for the whole day, and makes him delicious food.
Lim Tae-gyu - the "chill" uncle, will accidentally blurt out a swear word and panics when Su-ho hears it, sings kiddie songs with him, the supportive uncle especially when he learns that Su-ho tries out sports, and playfully teases him.
Lennart Niermann - also responsible and mature, and will basically smile at anything Su-ho does and he doesn't think no other baby will make him fawn but Su-ho himself.
And of course, there are the aunts/godmothers!
Lee Ju-hee - BEST AUNT! Su-ho's favorite auntie besides Jin-ah and Esil, will mend his wounds and makes him something to eat for comfort, hugs Su-ho until he starts complaining that he can't breathe, and sings him lullabies.
Sung Jin-ah - spoils her nephew shamelessly even though Jin-woo keeps warning her, embarrasses his dad, and has an entire album filled with photos and videos of her nephew.
Esil Radiru - again, spoils the heck out of Su-ho and makes him pretty clothes to wear, helps Hae-in when she was pregnant with Su-ho, and never misses an important event in Su-ho's life.
Laura - responsible and is quite strict when Su-ho starts being naughty and makes up for his pouting face by giving him sweets.

Y'know, despite being a HUGE Persona fan, I'm actually kinda just... Completely uninterested in Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 is a good game, no doubt, and for that reason I AM happy it's getting a modern remake because it's mechanics are rough by today's standards, so it's unambiguously a good thing for them to get a refresh so other people can enjoy the game. Still, personally, I am deeply disappointed with it ever since it was announced, because like? Despite being the fourth iteration of the same game, it's not even attempting to be an ultimate version, just a new modern one, and I feel like that's just the completely wrong way to go about it.
Look, I'm not gonna lie- I am VERY biased towards FeMC/Minako, playing as her is second only to playing as Yu (because P4 is the superior game) and I've had a blast cosplaying and getting recognized as her, like. She's very near and dear to my heart, and as far as I'm concerned, even if she's less or not at all canon, her experience as the protagonist feels much more right to me than Minato/Makoto/Emoboi. Like, not taking any criticism- her SLs were better, her songs were better, she's voiced by Laura Bailey... Playing as her is just the superior experience.
So when Reload just... Once again acts as if she doesn't exist? Yeah, ngl, I have close to 0 motivation to pick up and play the same game AGAIN, even if it's been polished, because, ultimately... It can no longer appeal to me in its original form when I KNOW that playing as Minako is better in every way. Like. Part of it IS me being a girl who wants to play as a girl and date my beloved boys again (the female party member LI are the weakest in this game imo, but then again, there's no beating Rise) and also... PARTICULARLY Shinji, who is my best boy and who can ONLY be saved as Minako. WHY would I want to play as Minato and watch him die again without even getting to smooch him once???
Like. Yeah haha funny, Atlus is making yet another Persona remake, but fr. I feel personally attacked by the exclusion of FeMC and just,,, do not wish to spend my money again on a game I already played the best version of (btw choosing to port P3P over P3fes to PC was a pro gamer move, even if the port was a mess, but fr I still want my hi-res Minako)

Also laura telling Spencer about Charlotte getting shot doesn't even hit for me because people who are relatives on this show barely get to interact with each other.🤷
Sidenote: I really wish they let characters interact with more people on this show rather than just the people their in sls with so moments like this don't flop for the audience.🥴

It’s Ludmila Pagliero leaving POB? Her last post on insta left a bit confused.
I don't think she is. At least no official adieux was stated for this, nor next season. (The only etoiles we know for sure are leaving is Myriam in Giselle in a few weeks and Laura and Mathieu next season in Onegin.)
I DO find it weird she's not on stage this season. She's around 40, so she technically is at the end of her POB career. She was dancing Manon during POB's tour in Japan )and several galas), so she is clearly not injured.
But I just don't know.
The same for Mathieu.
They are clearly OK, but not cast in anything in Paris (the fact he's not doing Giselle is seriously baffling to me).
It very well may be their own decision (pursuing other options, dancing elsewhere etc). For some reason however I have issues believing it...
And I'm not gonna deny it, I am a bit pissed, cause this is just not how you treat your étoiles. Not everybody wants to do the huge classics (Nutcracker, Don Q, SL) their whole career, especially at certain age, which... fair. But still. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, to say the least.
BUT I don't really know anything and nor have I heard anything from French balletomanes, so...?
The only thing I know is, that Mathias Heymann is still dealing with some major injuries, cause he was supposed to be in La Fille and Don Q, if I'm not mistaken, and had to withdraw. Which is painful, cause again, if I'm not mistaken, the last two seasons he's barely dancing at all...

“A man with a history of sexual violence is serving his sentence in a women’s prison, where he raped and threatened a cellmate, and the state human rights commission thinks that the solution is to give prison employees a little course on ‘gender,'” Lecuona says, questioning: “What will they teach them in this course? Likely that ‘trans women are women.’ The only solution is to recognize that self-declaration of sex involves several dangers for women.”
ByNuria Muíña García. August 19, 2023
A female inmate at Mexico’s Chalco Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center has reported that she was sexually assaulted by a trans-identified male who had been placed in her cell. The male inmate had a history of sexual violence, and threatened to harm the victim’s children if she spoke out about what happened to her.
According to El Capitalino, the assault occurred in July of 2022 after the trans-identified male inmate was transferred into the victim’s quarters. Despite having a history of violent sexual crimes and misconduct, the perpetrator was allowed to move into the women’s area where there was minimal security, with some sections being separated only by fabric curtains.
The Chalco Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center houses approximately 450 women, and features a daycare room for female inmates with young children.

While the victim had initially been threatened into silence as the trans-identified male had promised to harm her family using contacts he had on the outside, she eventually reported the assault to prison authorities.
CODHEM, the Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico, launched an investigation and determined that “one of the [incarcerated women] was sexually assaulted by her roommate, who was a trans woman with previous complaints of misconduct and probable sexual harassment.”
CODHEM further revealed that “the aggression was not prevented by the prison authorities,” with the facility administrators having conducted an insufficient assessment of the inmate without follow-up and with no consideration for the possible risks the trans-identified male inmate posed to the women.
But disturbingly, despite affirming that the sexual assault had taken place and that the transgender inmate had been a risk to the women, CODHEM ordered prison staff to attend a “gender perspective” course.

The president of CODHEM, Myrna Araceli García Morón, also recommended the training not only to the Chalco staff, but to the staff of all penitentiary centers in the region.
As reported by El Gráfico, members of the Interdisciplinary University Seminar on Citizen Security at the National Autonomous University of Mexico were in charge of giving the course on human rights and “gender perspective” to eighty prison officials.
The same University was recently embroiled in scandal after trans activists staged a “coup” and took control over one of the largest women’s washrooms on the campus in protest of a lesbian mural being painted nearby. Trans activists vandalized the washroom, painting graffiti that threatened women critical of gender ideology with “rape and death.”
Tumblr media
Despite Mexico’s political constitution outlining that prisons must be sex-segregated, the National Human Rights Commission of Mexico has declared that there is no “strict difference between men and women.”
Since news of the assault broke, Mexican media have almost uniformly referred to the assailant as a “woman,” or “trans woman,” using feminine pronouns to refer to the rapist.

Speaking to Reduxx on the disturbing case, Laura Lecuona, the head of WDI Mexico and author of Gender Identity: Lies and Dangers, slammed CODHEM for perpetuating gender self-identification policy in light of the obvious risks it posed.
Lecuona also says gender self-identification policies must be “abandoned” completely in order to protect women.
“Feminists have been warning about this for years. There is still time [for authorities] to rectify and fulfill their obligation to guarantee women a life free of violence.”
The employment of “gender” counselors in cases where women have been involuntarily housed in close quarters with men who declare a transgender identity is an international phenomenon. In July, Reduxx revealed that a man who identifies as transgender presented a speech for a Women’s Empowerment event held at New Jersey’s only correctional facility for women, where he lectured female inmates on the importance of “inclusivity.”
La’Nae Grant reportedly told the women that he believed “cisgender women” may hesitate to accept trans-identifying men as female due to jealousy or “competition” between the groups for male sexual partners. The Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women has been plagued by violent male convicts being transferred into the prison, including a sadistic trans-identified male inmate who was handed a 50-year sentence in 2003 for the brutal rape and murder of a sex-trafficked woman from Ecuador.
