@revretch and I were driving home and from the road we could see the largest most complete fairy ring I have ever seen in all my life, even from other people's photos!!
If you're in Portland Oregon, go see it at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, on a hill at the fork of West Burnside & NW Skyline Blvd before it's gone!
I don't think you're supposed to walk up that hill but if you don't anyway don't forget how important it is to step inside, otherwise no fairies will get you at all!!

This 1994 Tudor style mansion in Woodside, California is crazy. It has 6bds, 9ba, and is listed for $14.995M.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ornate door opens to a center room with a stained glass ceiling mural and doors that must be closets. Ahead is the main staircase. The floor is nice, not diggin' the dull color scheme, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The great room has a balcony, mezzanine, and a high ceiling with fancy millwork beams.
Tumblr media
This home has a lot of wood, but I just don't like it. I don't know, it looks like a mash-up.
Tumblr media
The kitchen's nice, but I don't care for the two-tone cabinets. Looks like there's an open concept family room here, too.
Tumblr media
The home theater.
Tumblr media
They have a full size bar for entertaining.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This must be the library.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is huge. There's even a sitting area separated by a railing, in addition to a sitting area in front of the window. Looks like there's a loft, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This bath includes a turret-style bath room w/shower.
Tumblr media
This looks like a dedicated office space for a business.
Tumblr media
The garage is ridiculous. Someone has to clean and polish this floor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the Tudor style horse barn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stables are so clean.
Tumblr media
There's a putting green, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's supposed to be a pool with a cabana and dressing room, but this looks more like a water feature.
Tumblr media
The lot is 17.79 acres.

Blake Shelton's Ole Red Las Vegas Teases January Grand Opening - Country Now
The upcoming establishment in Sin City will be the sixth and largest Ole Red across the nation.
Tumblr media
Blake Shelton; Photo by Matt Jylha
In just a few short weeks, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red will officially open on the Las Vegas strip. The Sin City location will mark the sixth and biggest Ole Red in the country.
Ahead of the much-anticipated grand opening, Shelton, 47, spoke with People about the launch of an Ole Red in Las Vegas and what fans can expect from the establishment.
Ole Red Las Vegas Will Be The Largest Ole Red Yet
Ole Red Las Vegas will boast a whopping 27,000 square feet amid four stories, including a 4,500 square foot rooftop bar. This will allow patrons to see a clear view of the Las Vegas skyline and infamous city lights.
Where Is Ole Red Las Vegas?
Ole Red Las Vegas will be located at 3267 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
“We’re in the thick of things down here, dead center,” Shelton told People of Ole Red’s newest location, which lies across from the renowned Bellagio fountains. “I couldn’t be more excited about this spot and what we have to offer people coming to Las Vegas looking for entertainment versus really anywhere else.”
How Many Ole Red Locations Are There?
Shelton is no stranger to opening Ole Red locations. The bar, food, and entertainment venue has five other locations, including two in Nashville (one on Broadway and one at the airport), one in Orlando, Florida, another in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and one in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. However, this spot is on an entirely different scale.
Tumblr media
“But it’s also just so much bigger,” he pointed out. “I mean, this is a giant, and so I don’t know that I would say I’m emotional, but it is overwhelming and it’s hard for me to take it all in right now and just accept that this is really happening and we’re almost to the finish line.”
When Is Ole Red Las Vegas Opening?
While a specific opening date has yet to be announced, Ole Red Las Vegas is officially set to open its doors this month, according to the official Ole Red Instagram.
One of the latest posts on the Ole Red Instagram reads, “We know you’re itchin’ to have a little fun, Las Vegas! Ole Red is comin’ January 2024! 🐾 🎲 Just in time to start the new year off on the right foot… or should we say, paw? 😉”https://www.instagram.com/p/C1feW2hu0d8/embed/captioned/?cr=1&v=14&wp=810&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fcountrynow.com&rp=%2Fblake-sheltons-ole-red-las-vegas-teases-january-grand-opening%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A1%2C%22os%22%3A1937.7000000476837%2C%22ls%22%3A1428.8999998569489%2C%22le%22%3A1777.3999998569489%7D
One thing’s for sure: Shelton hopes to perform in honor of the grand opening.
“I don’t want anybody singing on this stage before I do. I want to break it in,” he told the publication.
But don’t expect that to be the only time Blake Shelton performs at Ole Red in Las Vegas. The “God’s Country” singer often pops up at Ole Red locations around the country. Sometimes, he also dials in on the big red phone to say hello to customers via video chat.
The only official event listed on the Ole Red Las Vegas website is set for February 11. The venue will host “The Big-Ass Game On A Big-Ass Screen” in honor of Super Bowl LVII.

Wildcat Canyon and Grizzly Peak
13 February 2023
Tumblr media
After a couple of weeks riding along the ocean, it was a nice change to head inland. Today’s ride began and ended a couple of miles north of Orinda, in part because my parking spot kept my options open for a possible second loop to the northeast (Bear Creek - Alhambra Valley - Castro Ranch - San Pablo Dam Roads). As it was, this first loop was plenty and I’ll save the other loop for another trip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At Inspiration Point, where Wildcat Canyon Road crosses the divide, I got distracted by Nimitz Way, which heads north along the ridge (this was not part of my original reconnaissance at all). It’s a narrow paved road (closed to vehicles) and I ended up following it until pavement ran out at an old Nike (not the shoes) missile site four miles north. What a wonderful rolling trail - with a few walkers, two other cyclists, a whole bunch of cows, and even a coyote. Everything was green, except for the fog bank over the bay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After my leisurely eight-mile detour, I returned to Inspiration Point and headed west down Wildcat Canyon Road through Tilden Park until I reached Grizzly Peak Boulevard. Grizzly Peak winds south through residential neighborhoods near the top of the hills above Berkeley before climbing more seriously into open space on Grizzly Peak itself above the Lawrence Berkeley Labs. The views west towards the bay were hazy on account of the fog, but still impressive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eventually, Grizzly Peak Blvd. begins descending, crosses over CA-24 (which runs underneath the ridge in the Caldecott Tunnel) and eventually joins Skyline Boulevard above Oakland. Less than two miles on Skyline led to a left turn onto Pinehurst, which dropped very quickly back down the east side of ridge. There were almost no cars, but the steep grade, sharp corners, and chip seal surface discouraged riding to fast. There were redwood groves, a recently flooded creek (from January’s rains), and lots of dried mud and debris along the roadside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had a pleasant lunch sitting outside The Ranch House in Maraga, then pedaled the final 7-8 miles back through Orinda to the car. This last stretch was on a busy suburban road, but with great bike lanes.

Perfect for Entertaining
Entertaining just got easier at The Wyatt, where the resident lounge is designed to impress. With a dual kitchen, spacious lounge area with a TV, pool table, shuffleboard, and more, it’s the perfect spot for hosting friends or just hanging out. And for those with furry friends, the pet-friendly community includes a designer “Paw Spa” for your pets to enjoy. Whether you’re living in one of the luxury studio apartments San Diego area or a 1- or 2-bedroom unit, you’ll appreciate the thoughtful features that make every day special. The Wyatt offers more than just a place to live – it’s a lifestyle that embraces both relaxation and fun, with plenty of options for socializing and making the most of your time at home.
The Transportation System in San Diego, California
Getting around San Diego offers a few different options, depending on your style and where you’re headed. If you’re near the coast or in a busy area, biking can be a great choice—there are lots of bike lanes, and the city’s pretty bike-friendly. Public transit is decent, with buses and trolleys that cover much of the city, though they’re sometimes better for getting around downtown and popular areas. If you’re commuting or need to cover more ground, a car might be easiest, as the city’s spread out. Traffic can be rough during rush hours, but it’s manageable outside of peak times. For a mix of urban and beach life, San Diego’s transportation system is versatile enough to keep you moving.
Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego, CA
Cabrillo National Monument is a great spot to soak up some history and amazing views. Located at the tip of Point Loma, it marks where the explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo first landed in California back in 1542. When you’re there, you can explore exhibits that dive into his journey and the area’s early history. The monument itself offers a fantastic overlook of San Diego’s harbor and skyline, plus the Pacific Ocean stretching out in the distance. If you like nature, there are trails along the cliffs and even tide pools you can check out during low tide. It’s a peaceful place where you can enjoy a mix of history, scenery, and the natural beauty unique to San Diego.
Juicy Burgers Opens New Location in San Diego’s Point Loma Neighborhood
It’s exciting to see Juicy Burgers expand into the Point Loma neighborhood, especially since it’s already a favorite for many burger lovers. The location is perfect—close to popular spots like Cabrillo National Monument and Shelter Island, making it an easy stop after a day of exploring. The menu sounds like a solid mix of juicy burgers with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the addition of wings and cheesecake adds some nice variety. Plus, the promise of cold beer is always a win. The welcoming vibe they’re aiming for makes it a great place for families, but the takeout and delivery options will definitely cater to those on the go.
