Skytober Day 25: Redesign

Ever since I saw doom stone's concept design I really wanted to do something with it, so I combined it with doom stone's final design to make this biatch!!

I was considering using this for day 23 (oc) but I chose this day instead. This is still pretty much my own skylanders oc now so read more for my personal hcs about them!!

First and foremost, I made her a girl. Why? Bc there's zero female swappers and that I just can. Also since she's literally just a statue brought to life with no definitive gender/sex, she's technically trans :) (she's also bisexual, unrelated but I thought I'd bring it up anyways).

The darker parts of her body are far weaker than the rest, hence the various cracks from past battles. You could technically call the lighter parts her "armour" even if they're practically attached to her.

Gameplay/Backstory wise: She's pretty much the same as ordinary doom stone, however I don't actually own him myself so I don't fully know his game mechanics.

As for personality: Doom is quite sassy, but very civilised. Her other swapper teammates may see her as a diva but still respects her as a useful companion in combat. She's often the one to have the strongest opinions in the swap force when it comes to any gossip or drama circling around skylands. She gets along most with rattle shake, spy rise and stink bomb for having similar personalities/opinions. Doom oftentimes gets annoyed by swappers such as freeze blade or fire kraken for being "immature", although she definitely isn't fond of the ones who think they have authority over everyone, such as blast zone or night shift. However these are all just minor grievances, she still cares for all of her team.

One in particular is rattle shake... who she has a "complicated" relationship with... interpret that as you like :)

Charybdis, the abyssal sea serpent

I felt like I wanted to design the potential bosses in my Skylanders Relic Seekers AU/fan game idea, and one of my ideas was a giant sea serpent ,whose size rivals the Leviathan, that you fight in a whirlpool. So meet Charybdis, the second boss for the fan game idea.

Charybdis is a giant sea serpent who was responsible for the whirlpool that ravaged the surrounding islands around Leviathan Lagoon before she was ultimately defeated by the Skylanders. While her birth element is Water, she is also capable of controlling the Air and Magic elements thanks to the warped Relic Shard given to her by Malefor.

Notes/trivia:

She is named after a sea monster in Greek mythology that is responsible for creating devastating whirlpools

Her design and color scheme are inspired by the Namielle from Monster Hunter

For a while now, I’ve wanted to come up with a hypothetical design for the unknown “sepulchre princess” whose hat can be found in one of the hidden areas in the Kaos’ Kastle level in Skylanders: Giants. This one’s been sitting around in my WIPs for months, and I figured I’d finish her up.

Personally, I like to call her Kalmia—the sister Kaos never knew he had.

Tech Portal Master Crisp (that's me >:])

Crisp is a young (well by "young", still over 100 years old) portal master that specifically works with and cares for skylanders of the tech element. She is a cunning, steam mechanic robot, however only her outer skin is truly "metal", her insides are still consiting of several organic body parts. Some wires and circuitry still work inside of her, surrounded by blood and tissue.

Surprisingly, Crisp didn't always have a body like this, nor was that even her original name. She originated from Earth but eventually came across a portal to another dimension. Unfortunately she happened to fall in and has been transported into the Skylands. After this incident she has transformed into this bionic, puppet-like robot. She has no memories of her past life or what her original name was. She was later found and discovered that she had great control over portals and objects, making her a perfect fit for a portal master.

Various trivia:

- She's a mechanic which specifically specializes in steampunk machinery.

- She helped create all the locks throughout skylands to keep potential enemies out. Unfortunately overtime the locks got infested by the lockmaster imps and just became obstacles for the skylanders.

- The amulet around her neck is a polished piece of tech traptanium. It helps keep the energy of her mechanic side at a stable rate.

- She has the closest bond with the other robot skylanders, and helps fix or recover them when they are badly damaged in battles.

- When the wilikins discovered her existence, they grew very attatched to her due to similar appearances. She was originally bothered by this at first but soon accepted it. The wilikins now view her as an odd motherly figure.

- She still yearns to remember about her previous life. Her only knowledge is that she originated from Earth, but unfortunately if she ever returns her new body wouldn't be able to function.
