Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 comes out February 2.
The main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting.
It be good if you watch the first 2 season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher. And watch the other season 2 episodes when they air.
I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them probably dropping 14 episodes on Disney + on February 3. They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + on feb 3 and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they are dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day but also when they air the first time.
I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!
Tumblr media
i have seen clips and i do like them i may tackle it one day but i often start shows and don't finish them unless im very invested or i have a connection to a show

Master Eon: (Writing a paper) “…this list needed to be written ages ago…”
Master Eon: (Talking to himself out loud as he’s writing the paper)
"Things Ro-Bow Is NOT Allowed To Do At The Academy"
1 “Ro-Bow is not allowed to steal and hide Dr. Krankcase’s legs. Ro-Bow is also not allowed to steal and hide his wheelchair. Or his shower stool.”
2: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to intentionally confuse Countdown. Especially not after the incident at the Clock Of Skylands. Da Pinchy is still working on cleaning up that time paradox.”
3: “In fact, Ro-Bow is not allowed anywhere near the Clock Of Skylands without qualified supervision. Flynn does not count as qualified supervision.”
4: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to travel to Drill-X’s Big Rig for the sole purpose of rap-battling him. We are NOT risking getting him aggravated over something as stupid as that.”
5: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to call any Skylanders by nicknames they have explicitly told him NOT to call them by. For example, it doesn’t matter how funny you think it is, we are not letting you call Astroblast “Assblast” any more.“
6: "Ro-Bow is not allowed to ask Dune Bug about his ancestral home any more. If he won’t disclose that information to me, what in the name of The Ancients thinks he’ll do so to you?”
7: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to ask Blastermind questions, then respond to his answers with "Why”? over and over and over again. In fact, Ro-Bow’s not allowed to do this to anyone, period.“
8: "Ro-Bow is not allowed to show anything pizza-related to Shroomboom.”
9: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to sneak into Fist Bump’s room to set up alarms that go off every five minutes. He can’t control the fact he has trouble staying awake. So just stop it.”
10: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to set up eating or drinking competitions between fellow Skylanders. They may sound fun at first, but not when you slip Pop Fizz’s soda into the food or drink, and don’t tell anyone. He is ESPECIALLY not allowed to do this with enchilada eating competitions. Also, adding onto rule 8, he is not allowed to set up pizza eating competitions when Shroomboom is around.”
11: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to taunt Sunburn over not having a Series Two any more.”
12: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to bring Grim Creeper anywhere near Ghost Roaster.”
13: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to pet Wolfgang, anywhere, without his permission, and say: "Who’s a good boy?”“
14: "Ro-Bow is not allowed to play, or sing, or hum, or in any other way, produce the Mission Impossible theme around Spy Rise. He has told me directly multiple times that he’s sick of it. He is also not allowed to ask him about his relationship (or rather, lack thereof) with Dr. Krankcase.”
15: “Ro-Bow is not allowed to ask Fiesta to play Never Going To Give You Up. Especially during large gatherings. This also applies to Megalovania.  And All Star. And adding onto rule 14, the Mission Impossible theme. In fact, never let Ro-Bow ask Fiesta to play anything, at all. And you know what? Let’s extend this rule to ALL of the Skylanders that can play musical instruments."
16: "Ro-Bow is not allowed to-”
Ro-Bow: (Kicking down the door) “IS THIS A CHALLENGE?”

I wanna say that my iteration of Crash and Spyros bond is Overinfatuated Fan/Flattered, but unnerved Celebrity, that forms into a Hero friendship!!
While Spyro did view him as Bisexual awakening, it is platonic, with Spyros admiration coming even more from the fact that Crash saw his worth as a Hero, and he does start acting normal !! He learns someday he'll be on Crashes level, and that Crash was once just as naive as him-
And FUN DOUBLE FACT !!! Since in my version Crash is a Celebrity to heroes (primarily in the Dragon world), Cortex is a Celebrity (ex) amongst Villains, hailed as being one of the greatest Villains, just overly ambitious, now a laughing stock and an example of being too overzealous
Also Coco would join the Academy and befriend Cynder, Flashwing, Hex and the other girls cause I want a girl group !! Elf runs a Club to encourage more girls to train as Skylanders :33
Fun little info dump teehee

Log Entry Leith de Aurum, Master Engineer and Researcher Skylanders Academy Laboratory Cycle 5471, Day 189
"Subject: Traptanium Weaponry and Its Impact on Power Depletion
The more I delve into Traptanium’s mysteries, the more I find myself in awe—and, admittedly, unsettled—by its capabilities. Today’s focus was on a particularly potent property of Traptanium weaponry: its ability to erode the magical and physical power of those struck. To aid my research, I enlisted the reluctant help of Nana Crie’Cai, a formidable centaur warrior and master of the Traptanium-tipped lance she wields with unmatched precision.
Observations on Power Erosion
The phenomenon of power erosion appears unique to Traptanium weaponry, distinct from the blunt force or physical damage caused by conventional arms. When Nana demonstrated her lance in a controlled environment, the following effects were noted:
Immediate Impact: When her lance struck a magical construct (a training dummy imbued with elemental energy), the energy began to dissipate almost instantly. Unlike typical disruption spells, which scatter or repel magic, the Traptanium seemed to consume the energy, leaving the construct visibly weaker.
Lingering Weakness: Targets struck by Traptanium weaponry show signs of sustained debilitation. In sparring exercises with other Skylanders (all carefully supervised, of course), Nana’s strikes caused her opponents to feel sluggish and unable to summon their full strength. Even Spyro, in a brief demonstration, described the sensation as “like trying to ignite a fire with no tinder.”
Numbing Effect: Nana noted that, during battle, her lance disrupts not only a foe’s magical reserves but also their connection to their abilities. One subject described feeling an unnatural numbness in the moments after being struck, as though the part of themselves tied to their powers had temporarily gone dormant.
Analysis: This property stems from Traptanium’s inherent nature as a conduit for containing and manipulating energy. When used as a weapon, the material interacts with a target’s magical and elemental essence, not only interrupting the flow of power but actively drawing it away. This could explain why individuals tethered to Traptanium containment crystals experience numbness and a diminished sense of self when they stray too far.
Trap Masters and Their Specialization
Through... stressful conversations with Nana, I gained insight into why the Trap Masters are uniquely suited to wielding Traptanium weaponry.
Control and Discipline: The use of Traptanium weapons requires immense precision. A careless strike could sap more power than intended, potentially leaving a target or environment irreparably damaged. Trap Masters undergo rigorous training to master the balance between drawing power from a foe and avoiding collateral harm.
Innate Resilience: Trap Masters often have an unusually strong connection to their own elemental cores, which shields them from Traptanium’s side effects. Nana explained that when she first trained with her lance, she felt the weapon “testing” her—a tugging at her own essence that only subsided once she established a balance with the material.
Strategic Advantage: Traptanium weapons are not designed for brute force. Instead, they emphasize disruption and control, weakening opponents to the point where their abilities are rendered ineffective. This approach aligns with the Trap Masters’ philosophy: to neutralize threats efficiently without unnecessary destruction.
Applications in Combat
The power-eroding properties of Traptanium weaponry make it invaluable in specific scenarios:
Neutralizing High-Power Threats: Traptanium weapons can disarm powerful enemies, reducing their ability to fight back. Nana’s lance, for example, has been used to weaken large foes before her allies move in to subdue them.
Energy Drain and Containment: By drawing power away from their targets, Trap Masters can effectively disable magical constructs or prevent reinforcements from materializing in battle.
Battlefield Control: The lingering weakness caused by Traptanium strikes forces opponents to fight at a disadvantage, creating opportunities for strategic maneuvers.
Challenges and Ethical Considerations
While the potential of Traptanium weaponry is undeniable, its use raises ethical concerns:
Risk of Overuse: Prolonged exposure to Traptanium strikes can leave lasting damage to an individual’s magical core. Nana has been forbidden from using her lance in training exercises to avoid this issue (though she whines about it constantly).
Dependency on Trap Masters: The specialized nature of these weapons means their use is limited to a select few. This creates a reliance on the Trap Masters that could be problematic in prolonged conflicts.
Psychological Toll: The numbing sensation and temporary loss of power caused by Traptanium strikes can be deeply unsettling, even for seasoned warriors. Spyro himself noted that such experiences can “shake your confidence in ways you don’t expect."
Closing Thoughts: Traptanium weaponry represents a double-edged sword, capable of disarming the most formidable foes but also fraught with risks. The Trap Masters’ discipline and expertise ensure these weapons are wielded responsibly, but their rarity underscores how dangerous Traptanium can be in the wrong hands. Nana’s insights - though blunt - have deepened my understanding, but I suspect I’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what this extraordinary material can do."
End Log.

Skylanders ask game
❌️🌠|❗️|⭕️|🔪|💎
gotta sprinkle in some controversial questions 😈 <- not for the game
❌🌠 hoot loop, i find nooone of his moves fun unlike literally everyone else....sorry owl guy, at least you look cool
❗️ mostly started playing for spyro, plus it was a really fun co-op game with my siblings. the figures were also a huge factor because i LOVE collecting and the toys-to-life concept was so neat
⭕️ currently i want fling kong or scratch the most since theyre the few i dont have yet (dont have the nfc cards either). the character i was most excited to get in general was actually spotlight. i was SOOO hyped to finally get my hands on her figure
🔪 i'm really irritated about how rushed imaginators was. the way they left the series was so underwhelming and had so many weird decisions like...the way the "final" just fell on its face is really disappointing. another thing i dislike are just the very outdated choices and tropes for characters, like for example "same bod same face" syndrome for a majority of the girl skylanders and the "savage" stuff for double trouble/voodood (you think they would know better but..💀 i expected a liiiittle more tact, yaknow?)
💎 i would LOVE for it to continue, but not as whatever they were doing with imaginators/netflix's academy (no hate to fans of either but i thought both were mid and i am not a fan of the characterizations at all 😭) i dont mind if it's left as-is but in a perfect world i'd like an imaginators redo lol

writing casual dialogue is so hard.
Now dialogue is easier when there’s something happening. For example, “Trouble At Skylander Academy” had a lot of dialogue that came pretty easy to me, because all the other characters had something to talk about: namely Y/N and how insufferable she was being.
But when the conversations casual and there’s no specific topic? THATS SO HARDSDDKGDGKDKG

a trope i desperately need to see more of is an alt self becoming more like the true self overtime if ykwim?????
like um in unicorn warriors eternal, emma and melinda are like this cuz they accidentally share a body; near the end of s1, winston even considers renaming her into some portmanteau cuz they work together and so have sorta melded together personality wise
and a lesser known example that i sometimes feel like only i know about, season 3 of skylanders academy has dark spyro pretend to be regular spyro and he seems to become a better nicer guy and develops a true friendship w the team, until that arc gets aborted in favor of the team tryna bring back regular spyro :/ wasted. ik the show had to bring back the protag because he's spyro. but what if they redeemed dark him before that. and then both existed there.
maybe i should rewatch skylanders academy once i get thru my backlog of other shows i currently care about. or specifically just season 3. see if it's as good as i thought it was 5 years ago
still though. cool trope. need more of it. basically becoming the mask with edginess perks.

Ah alright though to be honest I don’t really have an answer for this one currently. What’s their family like? Who’s in it? What’s their relationship with them? Hoo boy this one is gonna be long so you may want to prepare yourself. 1) Tommy’s family is basically the Alpha Gang other than Seth himself which consists Ursula, Zander and Ed being his uncles and aunt, Dr Z his grandfather and Rod and Laura his cousins which makes their parents who I named Archie and Magnolia his uncle and aunt as well. Then there’s his mother Dr Amber. He also counts Helga as family even if she’s a robotic carer who also oversees everyone’s studying. The entire Z family as a whole is pretty much one big adopted family. Dr Z adopted Ursula, Zander, Ed and Archie from an orphanage as well as Amber.  Tommy has a pretty decent relationship with the family though there are has been some rough edges due to Dr Z and his selfish ambitions of becoming Dinosaur King and his actions did kick start the entire plot. Despite the old man’s faults Tommy does love his grandpa and the feeling is mutual. Out of the Alpha Trio, he’s more closer to Ursula who pretty much taught him to have confidence though he’ll get cheeky with her if needed to be. He’s pretty much chill with Zander and Ed when they’re not following Dr Z’s orders. Rod and Laura are basically siblings to him since they grew up together. They’re pretty thick as thieves. As a trio they’re basically called the Smugateers which is fitting for how smug af they can be. Dr Amber does have a good relationship with her son despite being away from him because of work (and the time travelling project she was doing with the Ancients) but she was willing to make things up to him by taking him on the journey. Tommy does appreciate his mother and only took part of the AG plan because he wanted to see her again. 2) Silvana doesn't really have a family due to being an orphan before being found by Eon other though he and Aurora seemed close enough to be considered a father and sister to the Portal Master. Silvana clearly does look up to Eon as any other person does and is one of the reasons why Silvana didn't become a full fledged Dark Portal Master as dark magic can be corruptive because of the Darkness. Which is what nearly happened with Spyro when he got his dark form. Eon does support Silvana's sexuality and identity but also needs to remind them of their duty of being a Portal Master. With Aurora, they're basically grew up together and helped the other out with their goals (Aurora becoming a Skylander for example). Being separated from her (and losing Eon) because of the Core of Light being broken by Kaos did do a number on Silvana's emotional wellbeing. The reunion was with a lot of tears and hugs. Though in the Skylander Academy AU on the other hand, Silvana and Eon are related (As well as Kaos and Kaossandra) and do have a decent-ish relationship despite Eon's choices in the show. Silvana does do a lot to make Eon proud, even trying to be a Skylander with Aurora to be part of the Academy. Silvana and Spyro are siblings in the AU and despite that they are close as they could be, they do clash at times because of how they were raised differently by Eon. (Spyro being spoiled while Eon was busy protecting Skylands before founding the Academy when it was just them and Aurora) Aurora and Silvana are cousins but close enough to be siblings instead. Very thick as thieves, the dynamic Light and Dark duo when they were cadets for four years under different personas.
1 + 6 + 25 + 27
Since there wasn’t a specific person I’m just gonna answer these with a few of my Ocs that do have the answers for these specific questions.
Age, Birthday and Star Sign  These three are the ones that have birthdays.
Krista’s age is the same as Rayman’s (depending on the headcanon people have for his age), October 1st and Libra.
Carmen’s age is mostly 14-16 (depending on the fandom’s age of the Primp magic students. I like to think they’re around 14 to 16 at most here.), August 24th and Virgo
Davis’ age is mostly around his near 40′s, May 13th, Taurus.
Headcanon VA  I have to admit I brainstormed about this the most because I tend to choose voices that are the most fitting.
Tommy Z's VA would be Lindsay Seidel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEMZvQDIZTU It’s the most fitting I can find for him plus he wouldn’t be the only lad in Dinosaur King that’s voiced by a girl (aka Max and Rod for example) As his Seiyuu would be Daiki Yamashita https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2MN9SpQEFw
Danielle’s VA would be Laura Bailey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfBUQPfuUEk Her Seiyuu: Ami Koshimizu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDi9LSQqTfU
Keitaro’s VA would be Andrew Francis, though I don’t have a specific Seiyuu for him yet.
Dusk’s VA would be Brittany Karbowski, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEE_K5wAGI Dusk is similar to Wendy and I can imagine this voice would suit her because of her timid personality. As for her Seiyuu I didn’t really think of one but probably Noriko Namiki who voices Lidelle.
Carmen’s voice is still in progress but I was thinking mainly Annapantsu because well why the heck not, the singing is heaven’s sent and Carmen is supposed to have a beautiful voice due to her siren ancestry so yeah Anna it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuBP6ODmV8g
City or Country I don’t really understand this question to be honest.

Does anyone remember the Thankstaking episode of Skylanders Academy? I sure do!
The reason being that this is one of the times that it is mentioned that Mabu are eaten.
By other sentient beings.
It’s also mentioned during the first episode with Crash Bandicoot, the episode where Stealth Elf meets Ninjini, etc. Also, in the Thankstaking one, even Kaos (who is, almost certainly, human,) expresses no disgust at the idea of eating Mabu.
Why is everyone so chill about eating actual sentient beings?? Why does this happen so often?? Apparently Mabu are regarded as delicacies too- How did they even survive long enough to become the most prevalent sentient species in the Skylands??
(This may be an Academy-exclusive thing as I’ve seen no examples of this in the games as of right now, but if you’ve seen any in the games please let me know! That’d be highly appreciated!)

What to NOT expect when watching Skylanders Academy, Spyro/Skylanders fans...
Tumblr media
Do NOT expect the Spyro characters to act exactly the same as their previous counterparts. For example: if you are expecting Academy Cynder to be exactly like the edgy Cynder from The Legend of Spyro series, or the Cynder from the main Skylanders game canon, don’t. In Skylanders Academy, she is rebooted into a completely different character in terms of personality, backstory, and such. They may share the same name and similar character designs, but they are all different characters with various personalities and such that set them apart from each other. Same goes for Spyro and Malefor.
Do NOT expect a-fan-shipping-made-canon-at-the-last-minute to automatically be carried over to a universe where the Spyro characters are portrayed differently. SpyroXCynder isn’t implemented in the entire Skylanders franchise, and is confirmed to not be happening in Skylanders Academy.
Do NOT expect all of Skylanders Academy to be “bad” because of one Spyro screenshot from the pilot episode.
Do NOT expect the lore, backstories, and areas from the main Skylanders games to be the same in Skylanders Academy. They’re not. The showrunner was given freedom to give the television series its own lore that sets it apart from the lore in the games and IDW comics.
Last but not least, do NOT expect this show to be kindergarten material. It’s a show for all ages. You can enjoy it as a kid, a teen and as an adult. :)

Log Entry Leith de Aurum, Master Engineer and Researcher Skylanders Academy Laboratory Cycle 5471, Day 187
"Subject: Applications of Traptanium in Weaponry: Observations on the Trimmers and Loki Alfson's Boomerang
The concept of Traptanium as a material for weaponry is not new, but its practical applications remain poorly understood. Until now, my studies have focused on containment and security, but recent opportunities have allowed me to analyze two distinct examples of Traptanium-enhanced weapons: the Trimmers, a unique pair of scissors used by Ole Silver Patches, and a Traptanium-rimmed boomerang once wielded by the late Loki Alfson.
Both items showcase fascinating traits of Traptanium, reinforcing its reputation as a material of incredible versatility—and danger.
The Trimmers
Owner: Ole Silver Patches, Skylanders' tailor and craftsman. Description: The Trimmers are massive scissors with edges lined in raw Traptanium. Despite their size and weight, Silver Patches wields them with surprising finesse. Though they're primarily used in combat situations, they can cut through materials no other blade could handle.
Observations:
Precision Cutting: The Trimmers are extraordinarily sharp, capable of slicing through enchanted fabrics and even magically reinforced materials. I tested their edge on a variety of substances, including leather enchanted by Spyro’s flame and a steel alloy imbued with magical runes. In both cases, the scissors cut cleanly with minimal resistance.
Reactive Properties: The Traptanium lining seems to resonate with the intent of the wielder. When used for tailoring, the Trimmers exhibit a gentleness that belies their power, cutting fabric with no fraying or unintended damage. However, when Silver Patches demonstrated their combat capabilities, the scissors seemed to shift—almost as if attuning themselves to destructive precision.
Unique Wielder Bond: Silver Patches noted that the Trimmers “feel alive,” responding better to his touch than to anyone else’s. My attempts to replicate his control yielded clumsy and uneven results, suggesting the weapon may be partially tethered to his essence. While not a full Traptanium bond like those observed in containment crystals, it’s clear the material adapts to its user in subtle ways.
Applications: The Trimmers are an example of how Traptanium’s properties can be harnessed for both utility and combat. Their dual-purpose design highlights the potential for other tools to combine mundane functionality with battlefield effectiveness.
Loki Alfson’s Boomerang
Former Owner: Loki Alfson, recently deceased Trap Master. Description: A curved, rune-inscribed boomerang rimmed with Traptanium. The weapon is designed to return to its wielder and can channel magical energy to create devastating shockwaves.
Observations: Obtaining permission to study this weapon was no small feat. Spyro was initially reluctant, citing the weapon’s history and the personal loss it represents. After much discussion—and perhaps some carefully worded arguments about the need to understand Traptanium to better protect the Skylands—he finally agreed.
Resonance with Magic: Unlike the Trimmers, Loki’s boomerang actively channels and amplifies magical energy. When thrown, the Traptanium rim generates a faint glow, leaving behind a shimmering arc in the air. When infused with even a small amount of magical energy, the boomerang creates a concussive blast on impact, capable of toppling reinforced structures.
Self-Returning Mechanism: The Traptanium rim plays a key role in the weapon’s ability to return to its wielder. It seems to sense the location of its bonded user, adjusting its flight path midair with eerie precision. In my hands, the boomerang returned erratically, landing several meters away rather than returning directly. However, when Spyro held it—even briefly—it curved smoothly back into his grasp.
Residual Essence: The boomerang still carries traces of Loki Alfson’s essence. When I handled the weapon for prolonged periods, I felt a faint but unmistakable sense of... self. It wasn’t hostile, but it was deeply melancholic, as though the weapon itself mourns its lost master. Spyro confirmed he has felt this as well, though he didn’t elaborate further.
Applications and Ethical Considerations: The boomerang’s ability to amplify and direct magical energy makes it an invaluable asset, but its tethered nature limits who can wield it effectively. Moreover, the residual essence within the weapon raises ethical concerns about using Traptanium items tied to fallen individuals. Does their use dishonor their memory—or preserve it? Would we be... using those once tied to the crystal?
Comparative Analysis
Both weapons demonstrate Traptanium’s ability to adapt and attune itself to its wielder, though the degree and nature of this attunement differ. The Trimmers are practical and precise, while the boomerang is devastating and volatile. Together, they represent two extremes of Traptanium’s potential: one as a tool of creation, the other as a weapon of destruction.
Final Thoughts
For all its brilliance, Traptanium remains as enigmatic as ever. Every discovery brings new questions, and every experiment feels like I’m peeling back only the outermost layer of a far deeper mystery.
End Log."

(i put this rant under the cut because jesus is it long)
you know, i understood after a few days of us starting a “make-a-utopia” project why our unit was named what it is.
TLDR: utopia is a challenge, because dystopia is inevitable whether you like it or not. its like a yin-yang, one cannot exist without the other.
“the challenge of utopia”
it seemed weird to me. ive known about utopia since i first got interested in indie games. thank we happy few for installing my brain’s first understanding of a dysfunctional society. and also thank you to that one episode of skylanders academy or whatever it was where they tried to get rid of all the evil in the world.
but i was over here, working and finding it actually fairly laughable, you could say, that our unit was named what it was.
so i continued structuring my ideal society, and trying to avoid the clutches of a dystopia from possibly occurring in said society, so i had a lot of laws made, a lot of intricate rules.
as i was describing to my parents how my ideal society would work, i realized something.
and then it clicked for me.
it is not called “how utopia works” or “understanding utopia” for a reason.
utopia is a challenge.
no matter how hard you may try, you can never make a society that lacks dystopia. its like the yin-yang thing, they are a balance. removing one causes the other to run rampant and eventually cause the return of the one removed.
for example:
in that skylanders academy or whatever episode i mentioned earlier, spyro and friends try to trap all of the world’s evil, so that the opposite can flourish. while celebrating their victory over trapping it (and how they are now bored) the evil starts to basically like, self-implode if i remember correctly. [i dont know where i was going with this]
but basically what i am trying to convey is that you can never fully get rid of the chance of dystopia.
it is inevitable.
war and peace, happiness and sadness, crime and justice, life and death.
you cannot have one without the other.
so the whole reason utopia is even a challenge is because you can never,
and i mean never,
reach a perfect ideal society.
no matter how hard you try, someone will not share your opinions of how things should be, and they WILL go against your rules and cause you to lose control of your so-called “perfect society”.

What magic actually defines a portal master? Is it just the magic associated opening and closing of portals?
Weirdlander Portal Masters are a mix of all the canon takes, and my own interpretations.
They can summon portals at will
Activate disabled portals (which can stay activated even after the master has died). They can create small portals for anyone to use for transportation (like in Skylanders Academy), but the bigger “Portals of Power” can only be used by Portal Masters. Those portals can send beings or objects anywhere (unless a spell to block it by another portal master is placed), view events from far away, and review/store memories.
Bring inanimate objects to life (not resurrect, they will have new souls. Like Hysteria’s original chimeras/vultures she made by hand, or the Wilikin Kaos made as a child.)
Wield any element, but a light portal master can’t use Dark Magic and vise versa WITHOUT consequence. The opposite element can give the portal master a crippling sickness until they turn into that element (example: When Eon used a dark spell it made him fall gravely ill and start turning evil. The same would happen if Kaos attempted a powerful light spell).
Age slower, able to live hundreds of years
Banish beings to other dimensions if enough power is gathered
Portal Masters once completely ruled Skylands and were everywhere. Not every human was a master, there were weaker ones and the strong ruled the cities and kingdoms. The wars between good and evil were too devastating to the rest of the realms that the Kurosian Gods Yukathul and Ooradah worked together to kill and banish about 95% of the human race. Very few humans are left alive, some turned to the Kuros to serve them (Kaos’ bloodline) and others swore themselves to good and peace (Eon’s). Nobody can just become a portal master, you’re either born one, or not.
Humans were the original Portal Masters, but because of hybrids/halflings existing other non-human creatures have become Portal Masters. Not every hybrid can, but those that are have had human ancestors. (I feel that’d make sense, instead of making it human only).
