Yesterday I went into the cursed house to dig through the remains left by deceased parents. Trash and hoarding and dead animals. Letters to one another professing love, letters to one another spewing hate, letters to each other they never opened or read.

Had to kick open the door to get in. The throbbing pain in my foot a reminder I am still alive and of this realm. Tomorrow I will go through the piles of boxes I recovered in search of something. I can't identify what it is but I hope it's there.

All the art supplies I wasn't allowed to touch or use as a child are still in the boxes. A folded up poster of a kitten among a stack of moldy porno mags. A doll house in a box that has been in the same space in the middle of the dining room floor for 20 years.

Someone my mother was fucking lived in my old room. They are the same age as I am. They love trucks. They left truck models all over the floor. The painted over things I put on the walls.

I recovered my old childhood stuffed dog toy from the debris. I left the rest to molder and rot. Outside the tall grass shimmered and waved in the breeze. This is being alive.

Getting older and losing your shit is no fucking joke. Called mom today to do my normal monthly reminders (bills on auto-pay, don't write any checks) and discovered that she has lost her last set of checks, had no way to pay rent and didn't bother telling me.

Further upsetting was she assumed she'd walk all over her shithole town doing it herself when she has major mobility issues due to arthritic knees and is physically incapable of the task. I GUESS SHE JUST FORGOT THAT SHE'S IN PAIN EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Jfc guys. It's hard dealing with an elderly parent who doesn't seem to remember that they're elderly. also who's crazy. also that basically ruined your life by having you but WTF WE'RE IN IT NOW.

Truthfully. It's all good. I'll pay her rent electronically. They have some bs way they wrangle and measure her water usage that can alter rent cost. God forbid she get too much of that delicious Ohio River/East Palestine chemical spill w/out paying her fair share.

Taking a few well-deserved hits and then getting pretty for IN A VIOLENT NATURE and uncontrollable laughter. MMA likely. Drinks definitely. Hits obviously.

I’m working on the homebrew lore for my Bloodbound army, and I found something interesting on lexicanium.

The way Bloodbound society works is the strongest (Lord of Khorne) leads the group. Below them is their 8 gorechosen, 8 champions, lieutenants, and rivals that both lead the 8 warbands that make up the population of the Bloodbound and potentially take the role of Lord once the current Lord bites the bullet (most likely by the gorechosen’s own hand).

The gorechosen are in the game proper, represented by the mortal character models payable in a Khorne army.

Decided on a simple black/white/red palette for today's flash set, and to pull some inspiration from older work- two of the cards from my tarot deck, cunning and foresight, and the Tormented Artifacts skullgrinder logo. Not entirely happy with the skull, but the rest definitely turned out all right.

The Skullgrinders are actually a very famous family known throughout Paragon. Some of the deadliest pirates, marauders, and warlords in history have all carried the Skullgrinder name. After taking the vows of knighthood Sir Walter became something of a black sheep among his kin. The fact that he chose to fill hearts and minds full of kindness and knowledge instead of swords and arrows is deeply embarrassing to his extended family. It tends to make the annual family barbecue very awkward.

@coitus-n-carnage2, @weirdlookindog, and @the-lichemaster are all recent-ish follows. They post more uncommon horror stuff that I haven't seen 1000 times already, along with a lot of good art and music stuff

@skullgrind, @mudwerks, @profgrewbeard, @fisterris, @sonofshermy, and @kydtyk all post a pretty wide variety of good and interesting stuff

There's lots more I like. I think my follow count is fairly low compared to a lot of bloggers, and I've been meaning to search for more blogs!

so i hit up a wannabe delver who's been fully cataloguing the timeline of the Ancient Keep and Skullgrinder and like it's kind of crazy.

But apparently, for the first releases of AK1e and 2e they HANDMADE THE GAME CARTRIDGES after the publisher pulled out in 83

Then just kind of hid the copies in a couple places scattered around the US, hiding it in department stores and electronics stores for people to stumble on.

And, quote, "This is very important, you have to mention one was hidden in the giftshop of the University of New England's Natural History Museum."

So if you need a sign as to the kind of game this is, that's something
