Here's my Skorpekh Destroyer I've been working on for a couple days

Quite a few finishing touches to put on these three, but I can say 3 destroyers at parade ready done, 30 more to go.

Those of the Destroyer Cult will go to great lengths to scour organics from the galaxy, eschewing injury as they endlessly seek out life to extinguish. Most Necrons aren't so fond of them - their nihilism spreads akin to a virus - but the destroyer's tactical use cannot be denied. (Media - The Tithes: Sacrifice)

Necron Skorpekh Destroyer, Sautekh Dynasty 13-Apr-2023

First of 6 Skorpekhs, singled one out to test run the scheme. Focused on keeping the metals grimy, scuffing the blades and trying again with Vallejo Dried Blood.

Still working on my Battle Brothers, but taking a little time to get back to my Necrons Robot Legions.

I have been dragging my feet about repainting my old pewter Flayed Ones, as I didn't really like the pose or the bits of flesh hanging off them, and was holding onto them for nostalgia sake.

Recently tho, I found THESE guys, and they're my new favorite models in the world. These will be my Flesh Eaters for OPR. They're like if a zombie and a xenomorph had a robot baby!!

The kit comes with a lot of insectoid scythe and hook arms as well, and also comes in 28mm and 50mm scale. So, I'm using the 50mm kit as my Skorpekh Destroyers Tri Scorpions. I have a 3D model for the Skorpekhs, so I'm using the legs from them and mounting the upper body of this kit on those.

at last finished the necron overlord and the other big boys in the patrol, the skorpekh destroyers and the big ol' doomstalker. may go back and give some finishing touches / tweaks, but after losing a fight with the bottle of tesseract glow because it doesn't seal properly when shaken, i'm going to take a break with that. for some of the smaller detail areas, i felt like i needed to borrow a microscope from work to be able to get the brush in without smearing green everywhere else. as for the bases, i have zero clue of what to do with that without overcomplicating it. plus i bought a doomsday arc cause that 72" ray just speaks to me, so gotta start assembling that. i've started reading the rules a bit more, so hopefully can have my first combat patrol game this coming tuesday or sometime soon.

Back in 9th edition I was playing necrons (yes mostly made from the 9th starter box) against my friend's militarum. I got clogged up on one half of the board but nearly wiped everything on the other half with my skorpekh destroyer lord being left behind to finish the remains of a Cadian infantry squad.

It was only one model but I was like "eh I'm playing a destroyer cult, plus it keeps him from doing some base stealing bs on this side of the board if I kill him" so I, a (if we're going by lore standards) 20+ foot tall necron overlord with a body that was changed specifically for the purpose of destroying life, nearly point blank shot at this single guardsman with a duel barreled atomizing cannon. Despite both barrels of said cannon easily being big enough to fit the guardsman, I missed.

Now immediately after this I charged the poor bastard and skewered him but, for a moment there, both my friend and I just stared back and forth between the dice and the guardsman. Who presumably now had two massive craters in the ground on either side of him and a just as shocked 20+ foot tall necron staring at him in confusion.

Skorpekh Destroyer

Had my first ever crusade game. While I lost one squad of lokhust heavy destroyers really early, my Skorpekhs Heroically intervened to kill the Rhino with dev wounds and free up my lord, and then butchered the marines and sorcerer that consolidated into them after my screen of ophydians was cut down.

My other lokhust heavy squad came into the open to fire at the Maulerfiend, but unfortunately missed a shot and failed a wound, and the daemon engine made two fnp saves.

My lokhust lord’s squad avenged their heavy brethren by wiping out the chosen squad, causing the now unguarded lord to go after them while the master of executions went the other way to hunt down my Hexmark in his back lines. Meanwhile, my skorpekhs made a charge into the havocs, losing a model to Overwatch fire, but getting it back with undying legions, before shredding them.

While the chaos lord was very strong in combat, it was unable to wipe the whole squad, and my lokhust lord landed the final hit on the enemy warlord. Back in his deployment zone, his master of executions beheaded my Hexmark that had been annoying him with fire, and his Maulerfiend (I did not know they were so fast) charged into my lokhust heavies leaving me with one lokhust on one wound remaining.

His Hellbrute, deployed very defensively in the backlines, finally charged into my skorpekhs, leaving my lord with only one skorpekh left, before they fought back with a popped plasmacyte and put the sarcophagus down.

In my fourth turn, my flayed ones who had been holding an objective the whole time prepared to valiantly charge into the Maulerfiend, and the skorpekhs prepped for a 10inch charge into the same should it be needed. But it didn’t, my lokhust lord’s squad finished off the engine with lethal hits and then charged into the master of executions, wiping the board and achieving the annihilation cult’s objective of purging the flesh, with four pieces of Blackstone to sweeten the pot.

Finished painting four of my Skorpekh Destroyers, based them, and used ashes from my fire pit on the bases.

Did a little bit of work on the crustcrons today. Starting with Señor Supremo himself!

I was working on weapons, rocks, and getting the black base on the gemstones.

Next was a couple of Skorpekh Destroyers.

Poor guys got no hands!
