when toshiro got on laios ass for being inconsiderate and never thinking about how his actions affect others like he was mean abt it but hes not wrong. Thats a pretty major character flaw and a pattern of behavior for laios — w not choosing jobs that made money for namari who is in a pretty dire financial situation where she cant even get off the island and has to go adventuring in the dungeon to get out of debt, who even explicitly brought this up, eating marcilles familiar immediately even tho she was attached to it, kidnapping shuro into his party and putting him in life threatening situations without like really checking he wanted to be there…?, wanting to see if izutsumi has more than one set of nipples when dehumanization is a HUGE huge issue for her the list goes on and on and on. Like when a friend does this to you its just kinda annoying but when ur the leader u really should be checking if everyones needs r met without them telling u. Like the autism plays a factor for sure, his cultural upbringing plays a factor for sure, but as ppl regardless I think u gotta step up to meet the needs of ppl in the moment or realize u shouldnt be calling the shots. just bc its influenced by factors out of ur control does not make it not a serious character flaw. And its written as such in the story.
#It makes him an interesting character w nuance and i like him for it#its a pretty big flaw dungeon meshi hits over ur head several times#And part of his character arc to grow as a leader who can communicate and take other ppls needs into consideration effectively so he can#be an effective king (an ending im still like kinda confused abt like i get its thematically full circle moment and a love#letter to the genre but like WHAT)#Granted ppl in glass houses shouldnt throw stones since shuros also a poor leader (worse than laios)#to the point that i think its a stretch to say it wasnt maizuru leading that party like “shuros party” i mean he sure was in their proximit#but his opinion does actually matter to laios and gets him to listen so ig it had to be said 😔#dungeon meshi spoilers#Laios touden#But like it was not the first time this was brought up to him… cmon man#Toshiro is a sheltered rich kid with no conflict resolution skills who at least was kept materially comfortable his entire life#tho on the other fronts… genuinely he wouldve been happier if he wasnt born into that family#and when hes angry his actions become vicious and targeted to a shocking degree#but his assessment of situations tend to be accurate to a degree thats surprising for a person from another culture thats only been there#For 2 yrs#toshiro nakamoto#in da tags i suppose#Shuro

I got.... my official adhd diagnosis....🥺🥺🥺🥺
Had my appointment where she went thru all the different parts of the testing and what they found by it. All sorts of things that I didn't even Realize what it was testing. And they pointed to combined type adhd!!!!!
There was also an iq test involved, specifically to test working memory in comparison to other categories, bc that's smth that adhd people tend to score low on. And I did too!!!! Compared to my other scores, at least. It was still average overall, but I scored "high average" on verbal comprehension and "superior" on perceptual reasoning and processing speed. WHICH MEANS!!!! Working memory was my low thing!!! Another thing pointing to it!!!!
Also the weird X test I took was the CPT-3 test and apparently it was geared Specifically towards adhd stuff. Which bc of my "atypically fast" reaction speed + "very elevated" commissions rate (which in this context means incorrectly hit space bar, aka I clicked when I wasn't supposed to) it showed a strong indication of impulsivity & some indication of inattentiveness and vigilance. That impulsivity is the big one here tho.
I'm just really excited now. I have a long report talking about all my brain stuffs that says I Do have adhd and that it would benefit me to take stimulants. AND!!!!! That I DONT have depression or anxiety!!!! That's a fuckin big one!!!!!! Bc they've avoided giving me stimulants in the past bc of the "anxiety" except I don't got it!!!! The examiner said exactly what I thought about it, which is that the prior disgnoses of depression and anxiety probably stemmed from effects of the untreated adhd. Aka I had Feels Bad Disorder. Ykno? Except not actually a disorder bc it was just a byproduct.
SO! Hopefully that can help me to get proper meds as soon as possible. Gonna be contacting my doctor to set up an appointment... soon!!!!!
#speculation nation#also i dont believe in iq being a good measure of overall intelligence bc there are many kinds of intelligence#.... that being said. it Does feel good to get a good score on it.#my overall iq according to this test is 122. which is pretty good!!93rd percentile. 'superior' as it states in the classification.#verbal comprehension had a 116 aka 'high average'. perceptual reasoning had 125 aka 'superior'#working memory had 108 aka 'average'. and processing speed had 120 aka 'superior'#ultimately it told me what i figured out during the assessment. that my visual based intelligence is high. but auditory is not.#since the working memory deals in short term memory. attention. concentration. and ability to manipulate attention heard.#which that all's why it's a good indicator of adhd when it's low. and it was Definitely my worst skill during the test.#she recommended that i come back in a year to get a followup exam. to see how well medication is helping me.#according to her there was a woman who went 11 years thinking she was functioning Wonderfully on her meds#only to find it was only helping One aspect of her adhd when she went in for re-evaluation.#so if i do go back. i wonder if she'd do the iq test again. and i wonder if id score better when on meds 🤔🤔🤔#i really. reaaaaaally want to get on meds so i can fix my brain. for the love of fucking god Please.#also the only diagnosis i got was for adhd. no mention of autism. which i dont know if she was even testing for it at all#i didnt mention it in the initial thing bc i didnt want to get it diagnosed. bc i dont think a diagnosis for that would help me.#so this is a good thing. especially the lack of depression or anxiety. it's exactly what i was thinking i had.#diagnosis... i got my diagnosis...!!! wahoo!!!!!!

i think the fandom doesn’t capitalize on the fact that Alec is a older brother, that man probably has so much more black mail on Izzy and Jace then they do on him
#mood
Izzy and Jace have nothing they can use on Alec.
One: They didn't think they'd ever need to because they thought they knew what he'd do in most situations (say no and then begrudgingly help them anyway, and tbf to them, they're mostly not wrong pre-Magnus)
Two: He is so aggressively self-contained for survival reasons that the only 'secrets' either of them has on him are the facts that he's gay and he and his mother have a fucked up relationship and THOSE ARE NOT THINGS YOU CAN USE FOR 'friendly family blackmail'.
Three: Alec is a tactician, he is observant, he is ruthless. He knows everything Izzy and Jace have ever done and the fact that he (as far as we know) never uses any of it is amazing and a little heart-breaking because he could have manipulated and threatened the fuck out of them and made his own life so much easier and he never ever did.

I know it's a vibe-based world building exercise and all, but there are some things about the Children of the Watch that are just completely batshit when I stop to think about it. Like I don't really want to do the 'it's a cult' routine but there is one way. There is one way the degree of informational control is through the roof. Din was taken into the covert during the clone wars. He grew up on Concord Dawn. That's a Mandalorian moon, right next to Mandalore. The children of the watch were also very much not the only mandalorians living there at that time, most of whom were not nearly as orthodox. Did he live in a basement back then, too? What about the full decades that followed before the purge of Mandalore happened? How did it manage to elude his notice that many of his literal neighbours were mandalorians who took their helmets off for twenty whole years? (okay so maybe they left concord dawn and went underground long before the purge but still)
And also, you know, basic politics. Basic knowledge of what is happening in their system. Okay maybe not every kid knows who the president is, I guess. Still kind of nuts he'd never even heard of Kryze, or… anyone or anything involved…. how anyone else lived…. at all… for more than twenty years……..
It'd be one thing if he was just prejudiced, but he seems genuinely surprised by a lot of this stuff. How did he get bubbled so successfully

Most people when they let their pets sleep on their bed: yeah lol my cat takes up 95% of my bed and steals all my blankets.
me: I rolled over the other night and because Madia was sleeping behind my knees the blanket got pulled down and wouldn't cover my knees. so I'm wiggling around, trying to get it to cover me up all the way and all of a sudden Madia gets up, chirps at me, and sits on the edge of my bed off the blanket. She waited for me to fix the blanket then went right back where she was.

do you like men /ref
physics! i mean, that is the idea, haha. as you can see, i'm also very passionate about art, although always as a hobby/independent thing from my studies. i wouldn't do art academia, but maybe i could take some specialized courses for comic artists later down the line.
physics is the more... serious course choice for me at the moment. although I can't shake the feeling that i might not be smart enough to follow through :/
#which is worrying because the physics uni I'll go to is a long way from home and i have to move cities to attend it#and if I'm not up to the challenge... well that's. a lot of money!!#but I don't know how much of it is imposter syndrome and how much of it is a genuine assessment of my skills lol#answered asks
