Happy New Year!

(Break week in the dS stacked rewatch)

Wanted this year to go out in style, and also wanted to make some promo pic art for the break week (oops, last week) in the stacked rewatch, so I squeezed in an oil pastel sketch of the horrible purple couch in the last two hours of the year. I intended to - and tried to - do this during the weekend but I started it on some generic purple cardstock and hey, I forgot the oil pastels have no grip on normal paper and it failed spectacularly. :D But here I am now, 5 minutes to midnight, something new finished (well not quite finished-finished). Happy new year, everyone, let's make even more dS art in 2025!

bust concepts... i greatly dislike vylad's, i think i made him too round?? which isn't necessarily bad but it's just BLEGH rn

i'm also not a huge fan of dante's s2 look but i think that's bc i made his skin too shiny so he looks weird/younger than his s1 version. also i'm bad at facial hair. also his eye shape might be too dramatic, they're just supposed to be more hooded bc he's tired/older. also yes, gene got a bigger redesign in this concept because i really wanted him to look way more like his dad (versus dante looking like maria) but idk if i'm 100% happy with it which is part of why these are concepts </3

nana's hair wraps are made from pieces of dante's cape.

(aphmau) eurydice's flower crown is compromised of orange blossoms, orange king zinnias, and trumpet vines, which, among other things, symbolize "purity", "friendship", "daily remembrance", and "fresh starts".

travis' earrings were a gift from his mother and help him contain/hide his demon form.

sasha and gene help each other with their hair.

amethyst is my freaking wife /silly. also i'm thinking she has albinism.

katelyn's hairstyle is technically part of her uniform, all the other lady jurors have the same style. she starts growing her hair out after being demoted/leaving. surviving jurors (ivy, teony, etc.) start growing theirs out when o'khasis starts falling apart but it's not really purposeful so much as writer symbolism.

these aren't true for every sketch bc i made it up as i went but: shadow knights, when passing for human, are distinguishable by desaturated skin tones and and red pupils. their skin and hair don't shine like normal people's do, which probably isn't realistic, but yk.

anyway. it's 5am. i'm tired. oops.

Colour wise we’re going a bit of a different direction for this one! I discovered this song on a late internet scroll. I couldn’t sleep without doing something with it. (At posting it’s midnight…oops) but yeah here it is! I really recommended song. It’s so damn good. And it suits the whole tf2 stuff so well on some aspects.

[Nightbringer Lesson 34 Spoilers]

Happy Thanksgiving~

It’s midnight on the 24th don’t worry about it

So I’ve been hype for this lesson because I was ready to see the fucked up shit belphie is going through and oh boy In the start of the lesson…I remembered something

In the OG there was a card called hide and seek were belphie was playing hide and seek with Lilith in a dream? He was looking for lilith but couldn't find her and this lesson was exactly like it except the roles reversed. MC playing the part of Lilith.

I also feel like I’m deep diving into this but even though MC is a human and belphies thoughts towards humans are…iffy but towards MC he’s fine with them although having some distrust in them cough trauma cough. Since MC is a positive person in him and his brother’s life right now he’s become attached to them despite everything and doesn't want them to leave like his sister who was also a similar positive outlet for himself and his brothers except for satan since he didn't exist yet. I think he saw or felt similarities there and wanted to cling to it as a last resort or to keep the same feeling of his sister alive. That’s why MC is playing Liliths role in his mind.

He then tells the story that’s reflects him and Lilith that could lean into how it should of been him who died or that he would die or come close to dying just to see her again even for a moment.

I also feel like this is kind of but not a complete do over for lesson 16 of the OG but well needed reminder and what should of been addressed outright in the OG by making it clear to say that MC not his sister or a replacement even though he doesn’t know bout the whole descendent shit here and is just an normal idiot that got stuck with all of this bullshit.

They even got him saying “yeah your not my sister your just MC” no weird incest shit please and thank you

I was never put off by lesson 16 like I know lot of others where but I appreciate them doing this

Radagon is CLINGY he's a cuddle bug, attention hog, will NOT leave Rennala alone, because he's SOOOOO attention starved (dramatic)

He dishes out alot of affection to Rennala and their children (who may or may not like it)

He's a wonderful, loving father who wants nothing more than to help his kids learn and grow, answering their questions, and teaching them. Rennala is exactly the same.

Literally the best fucking parents. Love their children no matter what, and are immensely proud of their babies!!

Radagon loves to do anything he can get his hands on. If he sees it, he wants to do it. Sketching, painting, poetry, instruments, he's more than willing to try anything at least once. (Or more)

That being said, he LOVES to cook. Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, good god he's amazing at it. Rennala never has to cook (sometimes she's flat out tired.. Being Queen is alotta work) and is ever happy to eat anything Radagon makes

Both have a sweet tooth, but Radagon has a nasty sweet tooth. He will sneak out of bed late into the night to have at whatever dessert lay about. Sometimes he is caught.

If it's Rennala, she laughs at him because his eyes are wide and his cheeks are full when she catches him. But she knows he more than happy to share, and offers her as much as she wants, if she wants any.

If the kids catch him, well. Radahn would ask why he's stuffing his face past midnight if they weren't allowed to eat sweets that late, and Radagon makes something up on the spot.. Being an adult so on so fourth. Radahn laughs at his dad and rolls his eyes before going back to his room

Rykard and Ranni would want him to share, or they would tell Rennala, or better yet, they will hide all the sweets around in Caria if Radagon didn't offer them some of what he had. Sneaky lil shits..

Rennala being taller than Radagon brings him thoughts he never knew he had.. Like wanting to be held, having to get on his tiptoes to smooch her cheem, just in general being small wasn't something he got to experience outside of Rennala.

He likes to be big spoon and little spoon, alternating often usually to what Rennala wants, if she wants to cuddle him from behind he's more than happy to oblige and be cuddled. As long as it's with Rennala, he's down for it.

Radagon is also down to clown. Helps the kids pull pranks on each other, sometimes they get him too. Rennala gets in on it on his birthday onetime, and they all threw cake at each other.. Very fond memory Radagon holds dear in his heart.

GOD this man is so clingy. They can be seperate, but Radagon will drop in and see what she's doing, often getting behind her while she sits to look over her shoulder (standing on his tip toes..) and ask about her day etc etc and rubbing his face into her back, making her laugh.

Radagon LOVES playing with the kids, when he has alone time (rarely, anymore) he learns something new, fixes up things, cleans, he's just a really active guy, he likes to do stuff

But when the kids come in, he finishes what he's doing (can't stand unfinished stuff) and spends time with them.

Both Radagon and Rennala are more than welcoming to listen to their children's problems. They need to vent? Surely one of them will lend an ear to listen.

All the kids wanna cuddle in bed with mom and dad, but sometimes it's just one, but that's okay!!

Radagon loves to fix things! Challenging or no, he'll do it. And you can't stop him
