When did Sap find out that he was a mer? Did Bad tell him or did he learn a different way (like getting thrown overboard)? Did Bad even know that Sap didn’t remember? Srry for all the questions
NEVER BE SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS I LOVE ANSWERING QUESTIONS
Tumblr media
anyway Bad had to tell him lol. He still hasn’t taken the cuffs off, so currently if he fell in water he’d just flail and drown instead of transforming. However, the cuffs do also burn him if they’re in contact with water, so after years on a navy ship with sea spray and rain, his wrists and ankles are scarred. He just normally covers his cuffs with bandages so they don’t get too wet. He’s used to it.
Sapnap actually didn’t believe Bad at first, so Bad had to shift to show Sapnap that he was serious, which Sapnap took…poorly. After all, Bad is MASSIVE, Sapnap is about the size of his pinky when Bad is at full size. Karl, per Bad’s request, has been trying to break the binding spell on the cuffs so far to no avail, so Sapnap has currently never been a mer, tho he now at least believes he is one.
Also Bad (and Puffy) were both devastated to learn that their kids didn’t remember them much (whatever memories they did have were misconstrued by navy propaganda), but for Bad it was especially terrible cause Sapnap didn’t even know what he was. Along with hating pirates, navymen were also taught to fear and hate magic beings, so hearing Sapnap’s initial rants about the monstrous nature of mers shattered Bad. It’ll take all three navymen a while to learn that what they’d been taught practically their whole lives was wrong.

I AM THE FAKE FIC THIEF I STOLE YOUR SIZESHIFTER GEORGE HEHEHEHE
TW for minor fearplay, swearing
“George!” George cringed as Dream smiled and jumped into a hug, somehow too excited for the morning. “I missed you.” The taller whispered. George rolled his eyes. He really wasn’t in the mood for it. “You saw me yesterday.”
“But Gogy, that was yesterday!” Dream whined loudly. “Get off.” George growled, shoving the other.
“Are you feeling okay?” The other asked slowly. “I’m just f***ing peachy, leave me alone.” George growled as he stormed out of the room. He didn’t even know where he was, he just knew he stormed out.
He flopped on the floor. He was pushed to his limits, he thought as his eyes landed on the old borrowing tunnels he had dug around the area. He missed those days, being small, but he needed to be big. He would be murdered by his own friends if he was small.
- - -
George frowned as he sat at his makeshift table. He had been watching what the humans were on the television, and the only thing he knew was that he had a massive issue.
“Little human-like creatures were discovered in labs a while ago, and have been studied until the scientists' data was released. They could be living in your walls. Here’s how you can find or prove they are in your walls.”
He cringed remembering that speech. The humans didn’t seem to be paying too much attention, because if they had at the time, they would’ve definitely checked and seen both him and the holes.
He needed to stay with humans. He needed to be safe.
He pulled out the phone he had borrowed from the humans, and quickly posted an ad, looking for a home.
This was a bad move for ordinary borrowers, but George had been trained his whole life on how to harness his abilities as a sizeshifter.
He needed to be safe, hidden among humans.
He heard the humans outside discussing his offer, which shocked him as he had only just posted it. But he received a notification from the one named ‘Dream’ that he could stay with them. At least he wouldn’t have to move too far.
- - -
“George?” G**, couldn’t Dream leave him alone? He wanted to cry. “George, I’m coming in.” The other opened his door, to find him lying pathetically on the ground. He groaned as he felt the other lay down next to him.
“Leave me alone…” He grumbled asd he buried his face in the floor. It wasn’t comfortable, but he didn’t want to face Dream.
“No. What’s going on with you, are you feeling okay? Are you sick?” Dream whispered. George didn’t respond.
“George. I want to help you, but you are making this so g**d*** painful. What is going on.” Dream pushed. He didn’t like that George was upset, but the human wasn’t taking it well.
“I don’t want to talk about it, go away.”
“Dream, leave George alone, he clearly doesn’t care about how we feel about this.” He heard Sapnap shout from the door. Figured. Dream brought in emotional support. The human got up. “Fine. George, I’m not happy. I understand that you don’t want want to talk about it but you could at least be nice and let us help you.”
“Leave me alone!” George shouted suddenly, with more force than he thought. He shut his eyes as he felt excruciating pain wash over him.
He laid on the ground, motionless, as he heard gasps from both of his roommates. Did he have a wound? He thought to himself before he had a harsh realization. He had been picked up, scooped into someone’s hand. S***.
He squirmed as a finger rubbed against his back, but he didn’t really mind it. It felt good, actually. “George?” He heard Dream whisper for the tenth time that day, and he only squirmed more.
“We’re not gonna hurt you.” Sapnap whispered. He wanted to believe the other’s words, but he didn’t want to die. “You owe me a twenty later.” He could hear Dream’s smile.
“You two f***ing bet on me?” George groaned. Of course they did, they were idiots. “Yeah, we kinda saw a bunch of holes in the house, and you were here a lot quicker than what your ad implied.” Dream explained softly, as his gentle fingers brushed his back.
“Sap here is going to get the things we got for you set up, and you and I are going to relax.” Dream smiled, flipping the borrower over to face him.
“G**, I wish I could meet Karl, you two are so unbearable.” Sapnap groaned, opening his phone, probably to call the other.
The two smiled at each other as they wandered away, finding something to relax the smaller, even if he was already so relaxed in the larger’s hand.

Don’t forget to mention that...
Well I never expected this to be the first finished bit of writing I posted here. I promise I’m still writing that other one I’ve hinted at, I just want it to be perfect!! I actually wrote this back in August and was re-reading it and thought: huh its not bad so edited it a bit and here we are. (this is literally the 2nd fanfic I’ve ever written as well as g/t piece and I haven’t even finished the first so please be kind qwq)  This was inspired by an artwork that @dingbatnix created! Original post here  I hope you like it ❤️
cw: mcyt g/t, soft, slight panic, mention of death man I hope that’s right
word count:  2375 Disclaimer! This story is based on the characters of the Dream SMP and not the real life content creators. Anything that occurs in this story is purely fiction and should be treated as such. Thank you.
“A nap in the sun would be nice right about now.” George said as he made his way to the top of a big red toadstool. Winter was fast approaching and the time for napping in the sun would soon be over while the cold months of snow and ice overtake the world. George didn’t mind the thought of snow though. I mean, when you’re 2 inches tall, snow isn’t exactly your friend when even a light powder can have you buried and frozen alive. It was going to be tougher to find food and shelter soon too. Part of him wishes he hadn’t left the colony; that he had stayed with his own kind rather than travel the vast world. But he had lost his parents long ago and had never made any real friends back home, so what real attachment did he have in staying? So George had instead chosen a life of adventure. He’d been wandering the forest and plains for a few years now. Learning about its hidden wonders and knowledge unknown. While he wasn’t exactly born for magic, he had certainly picked up the odd spell or two. He had once befriended a size-shifting fire-born demon named Sapnap, that he had spent the winters with in the past and learnt some basic spells anyone with enough practice could use. Although he had never actually seen his friend's bigger form, he missed Sapnap dearly. He had left to go meet with an old friend of his for a while and George had decided he wanted to continue to explore. But whilst George was curious and loved discovering new things, he tended to stay away from anything larger than a bush. Or if he was being more specific; Humans. When you live in a world that’s 100x bigger than you, sentient beings 100x bigger with it are terrifying. He’d seen the destruction beings of such caliber could cause. If they wanted to, they could tear through trees with massive iron blades, light fires and cause havoc in an instant. But at worst? They’d stamp out life in a heartbeat. And while you think they may only be stories told to young children to keep them within the safety of the colony walls, George had seen it first hand. His parents had hidden him in a small grotto before leading the monsters away. And because of that, he’d never actually encountered a human in person. That was definitely something he could be grateful for. He’d only seen a little of what had happened to his parents before they had passed and he had opted to drown out the sounds of destruction rather than watch it in horror. Who knew it would be the last time he would ever see them. He missed them dearly but was thankful that in all his time traveling, he’d never seen a human and hopefully never would. Hope might have been an understatement….
George placed his little toadstool hat to the side of him as he removed his satchel from over his shoulder. He brushed over it lightly, a small smile gracing his face as he reminisced in fondness. He had fought with Sapnap over how to do smaller stitches rather than big uneven ones that left room for holes, rambling on how his attention to detail was just George being picky similar to his other friend. George then smoothed out his moss cloak to lie on and laid back onto the toadstool, resting on his back using one hand to cushion his head. His other hand fiddling idly  with his light blue shirt. He adjusted his white rimmed goggles on his face with delicate care and closed his eyes as the warmth of the evening sun shone upon him. It’s ray’s practically dancing along his skin as it warmed each cell of his very being. It was nice. On rare occasions he would find himself being able to enjoy the sun like this. Too often this world was out to get him and yet somehow he would find the odd times that he could let himself drift away in bliss. Drift away…. Maybe to sleep? Yeah, that sounded nice.
George continued to keep his eyes closed and began to focus on the sounds around him. Despite his loud and rowdy personality, Sapnap had shown him how to enjoy moments like these. He missed him dearly. Perhaps their paths would cross again during the winter? It was unlikely since he could size shift and had said his friend traveled around a lot, but George was happy for him. A small part of George wished he had stayed with him. Sapnap had even offered for George to accompany him and meet his friend, always saying how he thought they would get along so well and how much he knew they would just love George. But the fact that Sapnap was a size shifter implied that his friend was also one and that scared George. He wasn’t ready for that no matter how much Sapnap insisted that they wouldn’t harm him. George shook away those thoughts for now though, because he was going to drift away. Just for a bit…
The sounds of rustling leaves in the breeze began to get fainter as George felt himself lulling off to sleep, the sun continuing to blanket him in its warmth. He was almost asleep when he suddenly felt the surface beneath him move. ‘Probably the wind’ he thought. Then it moved again. ‘Okay maybe there’s a deer nearby. That’s ok.’ And again. George opened his eyes slowly. “So close to a nap” he grumbled. The toadstool shook again. George’s mind quickly came back to reality. He could hear the steady sound of massive footsteps approaching as his world began to shake over and over. “Ok, maybe not a deer.” George said out loud as he slung his satchel back on and his hat. Whatever was coming was big and that was never good. The footsteps continued to come closer and the shaking worsened. The steps were timed and even, something that animals rarely did. Whatever this was wasn’t an animal. “Oh no.” George said as the realization dawned on him. “Please don’t be that. Oh please anything but that.”
George raced to slide off the top of the toadstool. He was practically exposed if he didn’t get off there fast enough! He managed to make it off the top and landed to the ground with a thud as the sound of tree branches parted. The sound of footsteps ceased right in front of where George was hidden beneath the toadstool. Not a single sound followed. Carefully, George peered his head around the side of the Toadstool and let out a small gasp. In front of him mere inches away was a giant boot. Starring up and up at the giant being before him was his worst nightmare. A human. The man wore a bright green hoodie, blonde hair just in view peeking out from behind a white smiley face mask that covered most of his face from view. But the most terrifying thing about this being was the black shiny purple axe he held in his hand. He’d seen weapons like that before. It was an enchanted netherite axe: one of the most dangerous weapons in existence, and it was held by a human.
“Hello? Is someone there?” It said.
George slapped himself in the face as he clasped his hands over his mouth. What a fool he was. He was trapped with the only cover being the toadstool. The next closest cover was too far away to run too without being exposed and even if he ran, the human would probably reach him within seconds. He stayed perfectly still. It felt as if he moved even slightly the toadstool would disappear and he’d be discovered. The human had yet to move. George could only imagine it was scanning the area searching for something. Someone. Him. Carefully he peered out from under the toadstool, trying to get a better idea of what the human was doing. Said human had its back turned to where George was and as predicted was scanning the area looking and listening intently. He watched as the human turned its head slowly as it scanned the area once more. As it began to get closer to looking in his direction, George ducked back out of view. His breathing picked up a little as he did so but he focused on the matter at hand. There’s no way the human saw him right? Right?!? Without warning, the toadstool was suddenly yanked up out of the ground and into the air. George shrieked, eyes wide as his only cover was ripped away leaving him completely exposed and at the mercy of the human. The human and George suddenly fell deathly still, shocked by each other’s presence. Even though the human wore a mask, George could still feel the human's eyes burning a hole through his soul. It had found him. What was he going to do now?
“Wow.” The human whispered in amazement. “Look at you.” Well George didn’t care how amazed the human sounded, his words were enough to snap him out of his frozen state and make a dash for cover. “WAIT! NO! Come back!” The human yelled as he suddenly made a move for him. George ran for the closest bush he could find. He didn’t care where he hid, anything was better than being in the open at the humans mercy. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it far before a large hand gripped itself around his body. He wasn’t held overly tight but it still felt suffocating. It was too warm, too big, too strong! All it would take is one good squeeze and the human could pop George’s head off!
George tried kicking and thrashing in the Humans hand. His arms were pinned to his body so he was limited but anything was better than nothing in hopes of getting the human to let him go. He felt gravity shift as the human lifted him up higher and higher from the ground. Sapnap had tried to take him flying on a bird once and he had not enjoyed it being up so high. Finally, the grasp loosened around George and he found himself sitting cupped in both the humans massive hands. The human still wore the mask but while he couldn’t make out the human's eyes, he now felt as if it was studying him over. Taking in every last detail of his appearance and it was terrifying. “You’re actually real.” The human said as he poked him with a finger. George hugged his legs to his chest and curled in on himself, willing himself to just disappear. “Please let me go.” He whispered out. He could feel tears pricking at the corner of his eyes. He didn’t want to meet the same gruesome fate his parents had. Maybe if he was obedient it would show him mercy? “I’ll do whatever you want, please just let me go!
“Hurt you?? Oh no, is that what you think I’m going to do?” The human said the sound of disbelief coating his voice. “I just can’t believe you’re actually real. I thought all this time he was just making you up.” George dared to open his eyes. The human still had its mask on but somehow he looked calmer, gentler. “But still, he never said just how small you were. You barely even fit in the palm of my hand.”
Now it was George’s turn to be in a state of disbelief. This human was speaking as if it knew George but couldn’t believe he existed. That someone had told him about himself. “What do you mean ‘He’ was making me up? Who on earth are you talking about??” George asked. “Oh Sapnap did. He kept going on about how he met this tiny person called George and that you used to live together.” The human replied. “He always goes on about how much we’d get along and how much I’d like you.”
Sapnap? SAPNAP?!?! This was the friend he was always talking about?!?!?! A human friend. How had Sapnap failed to mention the one most important detail that his friend was a human? Sure he’d said that his friend wouldn’t hurt him but never once had he mentioned or implied that his friend was Human. George began to fume. “I’m going to murder him first chance I get!” George yelled. “He never said you were a human! He always said the same thing to me too about how great you were and that we could be like some dumb Dream Team!” George said steaming.
“Really? I rather like the name Dream Team.” The human said, laughing a bit at the end. “Then again, I’m biased with my name literally being Dream.”
“Wait, your name is Dream???” George said as he stared up at Dream, the apparent human. “Wait he didn’t tell you my name? Oh Sapnap’s an idiot I swear.” George laughed in response. “Oh don’t I know it.” They both laughed for a bit at the dumbness of their friend. “Well it’s nice to meet you then Dream. I’m George, but I’m guessing you already knew that huh?” George said as he began to relax. Dream shifted George into his left hand as he grabbed his mask with the right and lifted his mask. A face dotted with Freckles adorned with a mischievous grin and bright green eyes looked back into his own brown and blue eyes. “Yeah I knew and man I’m gonna mess around with Sapnap for not telling you more about me when we get back.” Dream said as he turned and started to make his way out of the Forest.
And as the two trekked back to where Dream and Sapnap had set up camp, George couldn’t help but be at ease. Even though Dream was a human, he couldn’t help but feel safe in the human's grasp thanks to Sapnap and all those stories he had shared. Even if he’s never told him once that his friend was a human, he knew he could trust Sapnap and that was enough. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I actually finished a story. I never thought this day would come T-T. I really hope everyone enjoyed this it was a lot of fun to write and I’m glad I did get around to finishing it. Thank you @squishys-soft-stories for reading the draft ❤️ Stay tuned for the first fic I’ve been writing tho!!! I’m dying at not just sharing it now but its not far off being done!! I promise its going to be worth the wait! Thanks all again if you read to the end ❤️❤️❤️

now, dream wouldn’t say he was a pirate, exactly.
honestly, all he did was travel around the sea sometimes, do some minor crimes(most not even out in the ocean!), hunt down the occasional treasure, and have a couple wanted posters. really, he’d just say he was a criminal, that just happened to occasionally operate in the big blue sea.
his mother, though? she was a pirate. and a damn good one, he had to say.
the feared captain of the deep blue, they called her. one of the most infamous pirates known in the esempi region. there was hardly any other pirate around that matched her skills.
he just called her puffy, though.
technically speaking, he wasn’t biologically her son. but really, out in the sea, blood didn’t matter as much as bonds did. and the moment she had found him stowed away on her old ship, before she was as big as she was now, years and years ago, she knew he had potential.
and, well. seeing as he was now her first mate, he supposes she must have been right.
their crew had grown since then — not by much, mind you, but no one really minded.
one of the most early ones was her other son, someone who went by the name foolish. as the months go by, he comes and goes, staying for a couple days before heading off to who knows where. the only person who seemed to know where exactly he went between the weeks he was away was puffy herself — and she didn’t seem particularly keen on telling anyone, either. that’s alright with him, though. dream knows enough about having a background he would frankly like to leave behind, he wasn’t about to pry.
then there were george and sapnap, two people he got very acquainted with, seeing the various months he spent on the run from him. cons of technically being a wanted criminal: you’ll get bounty hunters on your tail pretty much every week. pros of being a wanted criminal: you can take those same bounty hunters, and make them a part of your family. it took a long while, but eventually, the two came around to him — and now, they’re a part of the journey.
..well, currently, george isn’t part of this particular journey. he was a fucking coward (affectionate), and would have rather stayed home doing.. whatever it is a george does when he’s home alone.
and then, there was skeppy.
......dream honestly didn’t know skeppy’s deal.
he doesn’t mean that in any bad way, of course, it’s just. he has absolutely no clue where he even came from. literally, he just kind of, showed up one day. swears not even puffy knows anything about skeppy.
and, even weirder, it seems skeppy knows sapnap? like, foolish, that would make some sense, who knows what the fuck he does when he’s not around. george, he could see, if he squinted. but.. sapnap?
granted, he doesn’t know much about sapnap’s background, but he didn’t seem like the type to hang around people like skeppy. the guy had practically no sense of preservation(well, neither did he, but he’d like to pretend it’s better than it is), and pulled pranks every five seconds. sapnap was a hothead, but a loyal one, too. it just seems like they’d bash heads every now and then, with skeppy getting on one too many nerves.
and don’t get him wrong, they do fight, occasionally; but.. it seems more lighthearted than anything.
well, dream supposes it wasn’t any of his business. if they ever want to share their backstory over a campfire, he’ll be glad to listen, but he won’t pry.
no matter how much he really wants to.
back onto the topic at hand(did he have a topic to begin with?) — adventure!
the crew was currently out on an expedition, following a map that puffy had... borrowed, for a bit. the map didn’t exactly say what it led to, but puffy had a feeling it would lead to something worthwhile.
and so, they all had set off. barring george and foolish, of course, for aforementioned reasons.
they were out in the middle of the sea, on a spare ship — their main one had gotten a bit beat up on their last journey, and needed to be left behind for repairs. while it was a shame to leave behind the beloved ship, it was probably for the best — they had enough trouble manning the ship with their usual five members, maybe six if they were lucky. with the much smaller ship, four people was just the right amount to keep her from sinking.
as long as nothing went terribly wrong, they should reach their destination in no time! it’s already been a couple of days since they had first set out, if they keep up the pace, they should be arriving in just a couple more.
the sky was a little gray and cloudy, but it shouldn’t be too much trouble. they’ve bested storms before, on their main ship, even if one were to strike now, they’re experienced. they’ll make it through just fine.
——————————
alright, uh. couple hours later, and.. the clouds look just... a tiny bit worse.
well.
maybe just a bit more than a, well. a bit.
“uh, dad?” dream spoke up, turning his head to puffy, who tilts her head slightly towards him from her position at the wheel. “is it just me, or does the sky look a bit..”
“i see it, duckling.” puffy interrupts. she looks about five seconds from gripping her hands right around the wheel, but her voice is just about calm. he can only catch a hint of it being anything other than that. “hopefully, we can leave this area before it hits.”
“and, if we can’t?”
“well,” puffy taps her fingers on the wheel. “this ship has survived a bunch. not as much as our big guy, but it’s had a decent amount. we’ll be fine.” even as she says that, though, her mouth was pressed into a thin line.
dream hummed, but left it at that. he turned back around and looked for how his other crew mates were faring.
sapnap is all but leaning over the edge of the ship, staring out at the sea with an unreadable expression.
skeppy is, frankly, nowhere to be seen. that would be concerning, if it were anybody but skeppy. he just makes a mental note to be careful for any hidden tricks around the ship.
he decides to go up to sapnap — the guy looks troubled, almost. he could probably use a distraction. they both could, really.
“you good, man?” he says, causing the man to startle. wow, sapnap must have been really deep in his thoughts, he wasn’t even trying to hide his footsteps.
“oh, hey dream.” sapnap said, relaxing his shoulders.
“must have been thinking pretty hard there, that’s new.” he grinned, resulting in a harsh punch to his shoulder.
“fuck off, dude.” sapnap glared at him, though the effect was ruined with the smile he gave him.
“hey, i don’t want you to ruin your mind with all those thoughts going around, could mess up your perfectly empty brain!” dream shrugged with a wider grin, before dodging some more punches.
“i am going to fucking kill you if you don’t stop.” dream laughed.
“good luck, then you’ll have an angry pirate captain on your tail.”
sapnap stuck his tongue out at him, causing dream to laugh harder at him.
the two sobered down a bit after that, sapnap going back to looking at the swarming clouds in the sky.
“looks like a storm is brewing.” sapnap said.
“oh really? i couldn’t tell.”
“dream i will kill you. i almost succeeded before, don’t test me.”
dream snorted. a brief silence followed.
“it.. kinda looks like it’s gonna be bad. like.. really bad.” sapnap spoke up.
dream paused.
“i.. i think we’ll be fine.” dream said slowly. sapnap turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
“well- okay, fine is a strong word. but i know we’ll make it out, if worst comes to worst.” dream amended.
sapnap turned back to the sea. the apprehensive look was back on his face.
“hey.” dream nudged his friend. “we’re gonna be okay.”
sapnap glanced back at him. he paused, before giving him a small smile.
“and hey,” dream continues, “on the one percent chance we do die — unlikely, by the way — i give you full permission to kill me again.”
sapnap huffs out a laugh at that, giving him another punch, softer than before.
“i’m going to hold you to that, you know.”
“wouldn’t have offered if i was going to back out, pandas.” dream grinned at him.
sapnap gives a grin back, before looking back at sea again, looking lighter than before. dream’s own eyes softened.
yeah, they were gonna end up fine.
——————————
so uh.
things... weren’t going fine.
like, not even in the slightest.
you know that storm? the one that wasn’t too bad?
yeah no, it.. it got worse. way, way worse.
dream tightened his grip on the sail’s mast as the ship lurched, as lightning cracked, and thunder roared. by the gods, this might be the worst storm he’s seen yet, though he has to admit, he hasn’t seen many. at least, not out at sea.
puffy’s holding on to the wheel like her life depends on it — and it does, all of their lives depend on it — she’s trying her best to gain back control of the ship, but judging by the desperation on her face, it isn’t going so well.
the ship lurches again as another wave crashes onto the ship, one large enough to splash him with the salty water. he finds his eyes laying on skeppy, grasping onto the door to the captain’s office for dear life — dream’s not gonna bother even asking why he was in there to begin with, he’s pretty sure he knows the answer, not that it really matters anyway.
he searches for the final member of his crew, and finds sapnap holding on to the ropes climbing up to the crow’s nest — he must have been up there right before the storm hit, dream thinks. shit, that is a terrible place to be in any sort of storm, especially one like this.
none of them had any warning when the storm hit. at one point, everything was fine, they were set on course to be out of the area before things could escalate. the next? chaos, utter chaos. no one could get to a safe spot, no one could prepare.
all they could do was hold on and hope.
the ship lurched once again, a particularly large wave hitting the poor vessel, and- he hears a gut-wrenching, terrified scream, and he turns his head just in time to see sapnap fall just out of sight, out of the boat, into the water. he could barely hear the splash under the clamor of everything else.
“SAPNAP!” dream cried, a hand reaching out, as if that could save him.
nononONONONO-
“MAN OVERBOARD!” puffy shouted, looking around with wide eyes, but no one moved to do anything. they couldn’t, really, not if they wanted to join him. then that would just be two bodies to worry about.
that didn’t change the fact that dream desperately wanted to jump in after him — he can’t lose a friend, he just can’t. he doesn’t want to have to break the news to george, he doesn’t think his heart could take that. please, please, please, prime, let his friend live, through whatever miracle that exists, let sapnap live-
suddenly, a loud, haunting cry echoed through the atmosphere, piercing through the storm.
dream’s heart stopped.
that was a siren.
that was a siren.
he wasn’t even aware they were in siren territory, shit shit shit.
they really were as good as dead, now, if they fell into the water.
(he doesn’t think about what this might mean for sapnap, he doesn’t think about it he doesn’t think about it he doesn’t-)
another shriek shatters his thoughts, one much louder than the previous. shit, were there two of them??
puffy seemed to be going through the same thought process as him, but before they could even do anything about it, the ship lurches again, and he has to hug the mast as tight as he could to keep himself from falling off — he swears that the ship did a ninety degree angle then, if not close to it. that’s not comforting at all!
before they could even think about relaxing, he hears-
“LOOK OUT-!” skeppy shouts, and dream looks just in time to see a large wave, one bigger than the entire ship towering over them, before suddenly he finds himself hit with a crushing pressure, his grip on the mast slipping, leaving him stranded underwater, with no way of knowing where the surface is, no way of getting to any sort of safety, no way to escape the sirens in the waters with them-
he opens his eyes, only just ignoring the way the salt burns his eyes, and looks around, trying to find something, anything that could help. he catches movement from his peripheral, and as he turns, he finds himself looking at something big headed his way(a siren, his mind fills in, considering the fins and the tail), with something else swimming around just behind it. from the looks of things, he’s only just about as tall as it’s finger.
and dream has just enough time to think ‘oh, that’s bigger than i thought it would be,’ before the siren opens their mouth, not slowing down a beat, and he gets snatched inside.
immediately, his mind panics, especially since he’s still surrounded by water- but he’s given no time to adjust, as the siren immediately tilts its head back, and he’s only able to think ‘shit-’ before he’s swallowed down with a quick gulp.
all around him is a crushing sensation, forcing all the air out of his lungs, not letting him take a breath. it feels like an eternity before he’s squeezed tighter than before, only to get plopped into some sort of chamber. he takes a deep breath as soon as he’s able, trying to catch his bearings.
it takes a second of rest before everything fully sinks in.
he’s inside of a siren.
he was eaten, by a siren.
he was in it’s stomach.
he was gonna die he was gonna die he can’t die not yet please-
belatedly, he realizes puffy and skeppy are still out there, sapnap too. there’s no one else in here, they might’ve gotten away — or maybe the other siren has them, god he hopes it didn’t. he’s not sure being stranded out in the sea, in siren territory, is any better than just getting killed by one, but at least with the former, there’s a chance of survival.
him, though? there’s no escape. there’s no feasible way he could live through this, not when he’s in the belly of the beast. literally.
gods, puffy, sapnap, skeppy, please live, please get away. i couldn’t stand it if you died with me.
he felt the siren moving again, felt the walls crush him slightly, before suddenly, he saw something else fall into the stomach with him.
no, not something.
someone.
they were coughing, and instantly, he zeroed in on their long hair, once fluffy, now soaked.
no.... no, please prime, no........
“dad?” he croaked out, and he watched with a heartbroken expression as green eyes met blue in the soft light of the chamber.
“..hey....” puffy spoke softly, giving dream a wobbly smile.
immediately, he shot over to her, throwing his arms around her. she hug him back tight, as he rest his head in the crook of her neck. he was only just able to hold back his sobs, though he couldn’t stop his breath from hitching every other second.
“it’s okay, duckling,” she mumbled, resting her hand in his hair, scratching at his scalp in an attempt to calm him down. “it’s okay, it’s alright.” she kept muttering sweet nothings to him, as if that could help the situation any.
the two startled as something new happened, as their surroundings started to vibrate slightly. as he pulled away from the embrace, it only took him a moment to realize what it was.
purring. the motherfucker was purring.
before he could think any harder about that, the walls moved again, and someone else fell into the stomach with them.
he could tell immediately who it was, what with the bright blue hoodie.
“hey skeppy, welcome to hell.” puffy muttered sarcastically, causing dream to snort despite himself. even skeppy let out a good chuckle at that, and while it did sound strained, overall, the guy looked relatively calm about the situation.
“well, looks like the gang’s all here.” skeppy said, leaning back onto the walls.
“except for sapnap,” dream mumbled, bringing his knees to his chest. “do.. do you think he’s..” he stopped himself. god, he didn’t want to think about what might have happened.
“knowing him?” skeppy said. “he’s fine, no doubt about it.”
“if he hasn’t.. hasn’t drowned yet,” dream said, spitting out the words, “there’s still sirens about. there’s.. he..” he hugged his knees tighter, puffy reaching out, and rubbing circles on his back.
“there’s no way he drowned,” skeppy said, crossing his arms. “he wouldn’t let something like that bring him down, that would just be embarrassing.” he chuckled, as if having he was privy to a joke the other two weren’t. “seriously, if he let water be the thing to bring him down, i would drag him out of limbo just to make fun of him. i’d straight up just learn necromancy, and i’d never let him live it down. he’ll never know a day of peace.”
dream huffed out a laugh, puffy giving a snort herself.
a silence followed afterwards, skeppy trying to get more comfortable, while dream and puffy simply sat and waited. the purring hadn’t stopped, and.. purring? really? he wasn’t aware sirens could purr. prime, he bet it was satisfied at having been able to catch them as a meal. he bet it was enjoying their terror. well, maybe not skeppys, he didn’t seem all that scared. dream wasn’t even sure anything could faze the guy at this point. that in of itself scared dream, if only slightly.
he looked around at his surroundings out of boredom — or at least, what little there was. he fully realized that there was, in fact, a light source, if a bit dim — it came in the form of small little freckles of light, scattered all around the walls, giving off a red lighting, as if the walls really needed to be even redder. the light seemed to increase wherever they touched it, but only slightly.
it felt like maybe five minutes had passed, before puffy spoke up.
“where is sapnap? it didn’t take too long for- for the siren to catch us,” puffy said, “you’d think he would have joined us by now.”
“..well, uh. there was another siren,” skeppy pointed out.
“great,” dream snapped out, almost pouting, “so we don’t even get to die together as a whole crew, he gets to die alone.”
god, what was george gonna think? what was foolish going to think? will they ever know what happened to them? or were they just going to disappear from the world quietly, with only two people to wonder what had happened, never to find out.
prime, he hated this. they just had to go through that storm, they just had to go on this expedition in the first place. now, they were going to..
“wait- hold on,” skeppy said, sitting up. “who said anything about dying?”
dream stared at him blankly.
“we...... we’ve been eaten by a siren.” puffy said, staring at skeppy with the same look. “we’re in it’s stomach. skeppy, man, in what world does that not equal death?”
“do you see us dying, though?” skeppy said, as if they were the crazy ones.
“we’re gonna be- we’re gonna be digested, skeppy!” dream said, voice raised. “that’s not a quick death! and even if we aren’t, by some miracle, we’ll suffocate!”
“we won’t, though.”
“wh- how would you know that?!” dream threw his hands up.
“i know these guys.” skeppy said simply.
dream froze. he could feel puffy pause beside him.
“you.... you, know, these sirens..” dream deadpanned.
“yep.” skeppy said, popping the p.
dream paused, trying to take in the information.
skeppy.... skeppy knows sirens. and.. those sirens that he knew just.. happened to be around when they were almost killed by the storm.
i........
in.... in all honesty, part of him isn’t surprised. this sounds like a skeppy thing, just casually befriending man-eating beasts. like. okay then. this is happening now. this is fine.
“yeah.” dream says, exasperated. “yeah. sure. okay.”
“so.. we’re gonna be okay?” puffy asks cautiously.
“we’re fine, we’re in his brooding pouch — a second stomach, one for storing young hatchlings.” skeppy said, as if this was the most common of knowledge.
“..yeah. and, sapnap.. he’s in the other siren’s.. pouch?”
“he’s fine, without a doubt.” skeppy said.
dream’s shoulders relaxed unconsciously — he wasn’t even aware they were hunched. they.. if skeppy was right, they were gonna be fine. they were gonna be okay. they were gonna live.
god, he hoped this wasn’t one last prank. that would just be cruel, even for skeppy.
even as the thought comes across his mind, he mentally shakes it away — no, skeppy wouldn’t do that. he knows when to hold off on the jokes, when things are serious. he may not have a filter most of the time, but this would just be crossing a line.
so.. that meant skeppy really did know these sirens. dream briefly wondered why he never told anyone, but then he realized it wasn’t the most causal of topics to suddenly drop in a conversation. “hey guys, just so you know, i’m actually friends with two terrifying beasts that are known to take out entire flees of ships with little effort. also, we’re out of gapples.”
yeah. like that would have gone well.
not that this went any better, either.
well, he supposes that they would just have to trust these sirens, and hope that they wouldn’t suddenly turn on them, or that skeppy didn’t mistake some random siren as his friends.
god, he hopes sapnap is alright.
———————————
it feels like hours pass before something changes. dream had gotten used to the subtle swaying of the stomach, occasionally hearing purrs or faint siren chirps. the moment he felt it still, with only the slight churning of the walls, he was on edge.
he could hear the sirens talking to each other, though he could only assume that’s what it was, as he couldn’t understand the various trills and whistles that they made.
suddenly, as the chirps quieted down, the walls squeezed tight around them all. dream struggled in a panic, before finding himself in that crushing sensation from earlier. before he knew it, he was getting spit out into a hand — a giant hand, he found he was hardly bigger than one of it’s clawed fingers.
carefully, he found himself getting brought down to the ground — a dock, he realizes, one not too far from the town their crew resided in. the village the dock was from was abandoned, a ghost town. he never really understood why, but he supposes he doesn’t need to, all he needs to know is that no strangers would pop in unexpectedly, no one would panic at the sight of the large siren in front of him.
the first thing he notices about the siren is it’s eyes. a brown, almost red iris, with a light red sclera. it’s almost haunting, really, if it weren’t for the fact he could practically feel the kindness radiating from it’s eyes. he could feel part of his shoulders relaxing slightly despite himself.
it(they?) had red fins at the sides of their heads, as if those were their ears. and as his eyes trailed up, he could see.. horns? on the top of their head. half of their face was a void black, fading to a freckled peach. they had puffy brown hair, as well, and it didn’t even look wet, despite him knowing that they had to have been underwater recently, there’s no way it could have dried in the past few minutes. was a siren’s hair just like that?
before he knew it, the siren had coughed up his other two companions, one looking more disheveled and wary than the other. you’ll never guess who was who.
“hey bad!” skeppy grinned up at the siren. the siren- bad, he guesses(an odd name, sure, but he’s seen weirder), chuckled good naturedly at him.
“hello, geppy!” bad smiles softly at him, before turning turning to the other puffy and dream. “and hello, you two. i’ve heard a lot about you guys, and i’m so sorry our meeting had to go like this.”
“uh-” puffy stumbled. “it’s alright, and i do have to thank you for getting my crew out of that storm. despite the.. unconventional methods, to say the least.”
the siren winced. “sorry, sorry! i wasn’t thinking much when i first did it, i’m so used to doing it with skeppy, i didn’t think twice.”
dream ignored the look puffy gave skeppy(who had simply shrugged in response), and asked, “where is sapnap?”
at this, bad’s fin-ears went flat, and they gained an apprehensive look on their face.
dream paled.
“he- he isn’t dead, is he? prime, please, he can’t be-”
“no!” bad all but yelled, “nonono no! he’s fine, i promise!”
dream stared at the siren. “..but...?”
bad looked away briefly.
“just, give me a second.” they said, before letting out a low trill.
dream shared a look with puffy. even skeppy had an unreadable expression, glancing at the two briefly.
suddenly, something else emerged from the water. it was smaller, far smaller than bad was, with their torso being as tall as bad’s head. they had a blue-ish pattern on their face, their ears looking similar to shark fins. they had dark blue eyes, with black hair being held up by a white band-
..wait.
..wait a minute.
“s..sapnap?”
the- the siren in question winced. “..hey, dream.”
dream stared, trying to process everything that has happened in the last few hours.
“you’re.. you’re a siren.” dream said.
sapnap nodded, not bothering to talk.
“and.. you knew about this?” dream turned to skeppy.
“yep.” skeppy gave a thumbs up.
“i- okay. okay.” dream sighed, putting his head in his hands. “just- give me a second.”
so. sapnap was a siren. who.. could turn into a human, he guessed. alright. alright.
so his friend was a creature known to sink entire navies, known to kill thousands of sailors, all with little effort.
in all honesty, he was surprised skeppy wasn’t one, too.
......
briefly, he turned to skeppy. “are, are you also..?”
“nope,” skeppy said, popping the p. “‘oops, all human!’ here, folks.”
alright. ignoring whatever weird joke skeppy made.
one of his best friends is a siren.
does this.. really change anything?
he’s still sapnap, isn’t he?
he’s still the same hothead, still the same hunter he befriended.
so he can turn into an overgrown fish. that would just make their little manhunts all the more fun, wouldn’t it?
he’s still sapnap.
he’s still his friend.
he’s.. still staring down at them apprehensively.
like he’s worried that they wouldn’t accept him now that they know.
like he’s worried that dream wouldn’t accept him.
oh, not a chance in hell, you’d have to pry me off to get rid of me at this point.
“so, did you like, get turned into a siren a la vampire?” dream smiled up at him.
sapnap let out a startled laugh.
“i- what?” he asked, confused.
“you heard me,” dream grinned, “are you some sort of siren-vampire, or were you just born like this?”
“i was born like this, what are you even-”
“so we don’t have to worry about you getting burnt in the sun? no need to worry about random stakes impaling you?”
“dude, what are-”
“so there’s no point getting worked up about you getting forced to turn into a siren every full moon? no allergy to silver?”
“dream, that’s werewolves, what are you on right now-”
“what, i’m just listing reasonable worries!” dream laughed. “c’mon, you’re still part of the crew, we gotta know what we’re dealing with here, don’t want to accidentally kill you with garlic, of all things.”
dream expected a retort, but paused when he realized the siren wasn’t replying. he looked up, and saw sapnap looking at him with a vulnerable expression.
“i’m.. you still want me to be a part of the crew....?” sapnap asked, ears pinned back.
“of course, man! this-” dream gestured at sapnap, “this doesn’t change a thing! you’re still my friend, pandas.”
sapnap looked as if he was about ten seconds away from tearing up, but he still looked a bit wary, glancing somewhere behind him. dream turned, looking at his dad, who had been silent, watching the exchange unfold.
puffy stared back at sapnap, before stepping up to him.
“sapnap,” puffy started, “to me, it doesn’t matter what you are. i wouldn’t care if you were some world-killer, you’re a part of this crew. and, as long as you want to be, you will always have a place in this family.”
she looked up at bad as well. “this goes for you, too, if you’d like. you clearly know these two, and i’m sure they’d vouch for you. if you ever want to, you can join us in our crew. after all that happened, that’s about the least i could do to thank you.”
sapnap stared at her with a watery look in his eyes, while bad considered her.
“well, i have been told stories of all of you from these two.” bad said. “and, i have to say.. i wouldn’t be opposed to it.”
immediately, skeppy threw up his hands, letting out a woop. “HELL YEAH, BAD’S JOINING US FOR CRIMES!”
bad snorted, murmuring a quick, fond, “language”, as everyone else let out a chuckle.
informing everyone else(as in, two other people) about the.. developments would certainly be an event, but dream’s sure that things will go fine.
for now, though, he was content with just hanging around for a bit. george wasn’t expecting them back for at least a couple more days, he could wait for just a bit.

The three of them ran from the incoming Piglins that weren’t so far behind them, so maybe coming to the nether a little bit unprepared was a bit of a mistake, because they were now being targeted but a lot of the inhabitants of this flaming realm.
They were being chased by Piglins as they had no gold, Ghasts were eyeing them and Hoglins thought they finally had a plaything.
“Look- We’re almost there!”. Screamed George, the three had almost made it to their nether portal, finally, they’d be safe from whatever endeavours were here and escape into their more peaceful and adaptable realm, the Overworld.
But maybe hopes were looking a little too high wouldn’t you think? Because George was way ahead of the two of them, somehow, with Sapnap and Dream being somewhat left behind.
Suddenly, Sapnap tripped slightly, almost falling to the ground until Dream grabbed him and pulled him up, continuing to run to the portal.
They looked ahead to see George leaning outward from the portal, reaching out his hand to take theirs. Then a strange cry was heard from behind them, from a Ghast. They booked it as much as they could to George, but ultimately too late.
The Ghast’s fire charge hit the portal, hitting George with it. “GEORGE!” the two screamed but saw no flying George, he must’ve gotten through the portal before it was destroyed. The two looked back, seeing the other mobs behind them.
They had to continue to run, somewhere where the two of them would at least be safe until somebody came to get them since none of them had a flint and steel.
The two of them pulled a 180, heading upwards towards the ceiling, “Cover me!”, Sapnap yelled as he pulled out a pickaxe, Dream crouched down, pulled out his bow and began to shoot at the incoming enemies. Sapnap mined into the netherrack, making a tunnel.
Once he was done, he pulled Dream into the tunnel and covered the entrance with more netherrack, blocking them from the mobs on the outside, with the mobs being gone the two finally got a break.
The two panted, Sapnap dropping to the floor and Dream leaning his hand on the wall. Sapnap looked over to Dream, “Y-you, okay?”. Dream snapped his hand towards Sapnap.
“Am I okay? AM I OKAY?! After everything that just happened?! You asked if I’m, okay?! George could be fucking dead Sapnap!”.
Sapnap’s eyes widened, “D-dream.”. “If it weren’t for you, we might’ve made it!”. “DREAM!”, “WHAT?!”. “If George had died, we would’ve seen the message on our communicators!”.
Dream immediately pulled out his communicator in a huff, scanning it for any mention of what their friends’ fate could be, to find none.
“H-he’s okay, see?”. Sapnap huffed, Dream looked at him with guilt in his eyes, “Sorry Sap I-“. “It’s fine Dream, don’t worry about it, I get it”. The two looked at each other, both with worry in their expressions, Dream made his way to Sapnap and sat down next to him.
“So, what now?”. Sapnap huffed, “We can’t get back to our old portal since it was destroyed and well, covered by mobs, we’ll have to make through the nether until we find somebody”. “How are we gonna do that? We came unprepared.”.
“Didn’t you inherit some nether traits from your dad or something?”. Sapnap sighed, “Besides heat resistance, nothing”. “Fuck”.
“It’s best we just adventure out then and hope we find another way home then.”. “Right.”.
The two stood up after their break, and began to mine through the nether’s ceiling, and soon enough found ground as their tunnel finally found a way into the nether once again, the two carefully made their way down from the ceiling and began to wander again, hopefully going to find somebody or a portal.
The two were now in a slightly open area, a warped forest not too far away. Things were actually surprisingly okay for a while until they were surrounded again…
Mobs had found their way to them again, Sapnap being the person he was, pushed Dream behind him, putting himself between them and the monsters.
“Sapnap!”, Dream wanted to resist, not wanting to stand by but that was simply impossible as his once average height friend turned giant, he stared in amazement as his friend began to stomp on the mobs, that was until his friend got hit by a ghast.
Sapnap turned around to face the ghast, but his attention subverted as Dream almost got hit by a mob, which was quickly stomped on by Sapnap, it was clear that Sapnap wasn’t able to focus on so many things at once and Dream couldn’t help with being out of arrows.
So, Sapnap swiftly picked up Dream and threw him into his mouth and jumped off the edge into the lava, he dove in. And once he surfaced, he felt Dream squirming, not wanting his friend to get hurt accidentally by lava he swallowed. He was promptly hit by Dream on the way down, but it was worth it.
Once he reached Sapnap’s storage stomach, there was immediate kicking and punching, “SAPNAP! LET ME OUT!”, he put a hand to the squirming man and applied pressure, amplifying his movements, “Sap-“, “Calm down Dream, you’re safe. Remember, demon trait?”. “Right, am I in your storage?”. “Yep.”.
Sapnap despite not inheriting a lot of demonic abilities much like his father, did inherit the biology of fire resistance, size-shifting and of course the ability to store things within him, making him the perfect person to hide inside of, but otherwise, that was all he really inherited from his father.
He sighed, “What now?”. “Well, it looks like you’re going to have to swim across the lava until you find land”.
Sapnap groaned in frustration as Dream laughed, “Argh! I hate you”. Sapnap said in a huff and got a rub from Dream in return, who was now comfortably laying in his friend's stomach, “Be quiet and get along will you?”.
He swam for a while and eventually found land, he was contemplating letting Dream but realised the danger he would put his friend into and decided against it, so he wandered for a while, which was a bit difficult with a few tight fits, he almost got stuck in a hole.
And then after what seemed like hours, he heard his name. “Sapnap?! Oh, my muffin, are you okay?!” he heard and turned his head, to see his father running towards him on a ledge, he leaned down towards his father, who held his cheeks in worry. “I’m fine Dad”. Was mumbled whilst a worried father checked over his son.
He sighed in relief when he saw no injury, behind him was his stepfather, Skeppy. “Where’s Dream?” asked his father, and in response to that blushed and looked away, Bad looked confused and worried for a moment until he realised what that meant. “Awhh! Sappy! No need to be embarrassed about it!”. He smiled.
Then Bad changed size himself, putting Skeppy on his shoulder and helping his son onto the ledge, Dream had put together what he had happened, “Sap, ask if they’ve seen George!”. “Oh, right!”. Bad looked over,
“Dad? Have you seen George?”. “Yes of course I have, he was a bit injured with burns and we treated him before we came, he’s okay don’t worry!”.
Sapnap sighed in relief and soon they made their way to the nether portal, which Dream was finally let out and the four of them made it back to the overworld safely.
Dream and Sapnap crowded a slightly injured George and the three of them were reunited with each other after that massive and unpredictable adventure but were glad about how things came out.

Finally! The Store Shifter AU dad story!!
Holy shit this took so long, i’m still not fully satisfied with the ending but this story has been like genuinely over 5 months in the making so i’m leaving it as is. also this will need a part 2 so expect that hopefully in a shorter period of time than this one took!
guys this thing is like almost 5k words lol
tw vore: don’t like it don’t read it
“Bad, are you sure this is the best idea?” “Yes I’m sure, now be quiet, we’re almost there.”
Skeppy huffed, blowing a few loose strands of hair out of his face. Bad always got like this when they went on retrieval missions. The kind and funny (if not somewhat naïve) man he married buried beneath a stoic, focused outer shell. He couldn’t blame him, though. Humans were horrifying to be around, and if Bad felt like he needed to turn off everything to get them all out of there safely, so be it. Usually it was just the two of them, Skeppy and Bad against the world as it always seemed to be, but Sam was with them today. He’d been pretty silent through their walk, but Skeppy could sense the unease practically radiating off him. Sam was a builder, after all; he almost never went near humans. But, according to him, some homes in their colony had been damaged by storms and needed repair work that would be significantly easier with human tools.
So, here they were. Bad, Skeppy, and Sam, headed towards a human market. Skeppy had been fully opposed, but the hunt and crops had been poor at the colony, and their supplies likely wouldn’t be regrown until a few months from now if they were lucky. Bad suggested the human’s market, where he’d heard other borrowers say they’d seen humans come in with nothing and leave with bags full of god knows what. He was confident they’d be able to find the necessary rations there, and even if he was scared, he wouldn’t let Bad go to some human infested place without him. Then Sam had joined them and off they’d gone, promising the rest of the colony to be back in a day or two.
As they neared the market, Skeppy could see Bad tense. Anyone else wouldn’t have noticed the slight crease of his brows, the minute shaking of his hands. That’s part of what made him a great leader for their colony; he was able to stay calm and collected no matter what. But having known him for so long, Skeppy could read him like an open book. He was scared. Sam, meanwhile, wasn’t even trying to hide it. He was quaking, clearly terrified of going into a space filled with creatures he knows could and likely would kill him if given the chance. Skeppy, honestly, was equally terrified. They almost never ventured this far into human society, and certainly never into human inhabited spaces. But, all for the good of the colony.
They approached the building and saw humans leaving the store, making Skeppy’s stomach turn in fear. He was sure that his fear was just as noticeable as Sam’s was, and he wasn’t sure how Bad was managing to keep his cool while him and Sam were panicking right next to him. But somehow, Bad pressed them forward, and they had little choice but to follow. They’d already made it this far, and like hell Skeppy was gonna back down and leave Bad to do this alone now.
They managed to get in the door right behind a human before scurrying back to the shadows for safety the second they entered the building, and holy shit was it bigger than he’d thought it was. There were dozens and dozens of rows one hundred times bigger than any one of them, even if they were small compared to the trees of the forest. “We’ll have to search from above,” Bad whispered quietly, breaking the unspoken vow of silence that the three had been following since nearing the shop. “Skeppy, lend me a rope. We can hoist each other up on each level.”
So, that they did. One of them would climb, then throw a rope for the other two to climb to meet them, only occasionally having to hide behind whatever human product was nearest to avoid being spotted. Thank god there weren’t as many humans in the place as he’d initially thought there would be. After a while, the three had made it to the top, overlooking pretty much the entire shop. Skeppy took note that most of the food they’d need was farther back in the store, unfortunately, but at least the platforms they stood on were close enough together that they could jump them. He also took note that a good number of humans were leaving, which was great for them, but also meant that night was likely coming soon, so they had to be fast. It wasn’t safe to travel the woods at night. Bad seemed to recognize this, as he gestured for Skeppy and Sam to follow him, leading them towards what they’d need. After a few more minutes of the three heading to the back, almost all the humans were gone except for a few in bright green vests. Skeppy reasoned that they were the ones who operated the place, if they all dressed the same and stayed when no one else did. But he wasn’t worried; what were the odds that the humans would look up to see them?
“Hey, Nick, you wanna head home early? You don’t look so good, I’m sure Dream wouldn’t mind.” Skeppy heard a human say. He knew it’d be best to stay back, but Skeppy was nothing if not stupidly impulsive. He leaned over the edge of the platform they’d been walking on, catching the attention of Bad and Sam too late to stop him. The human who had spoken was wearing a white sweater and gold chain with blonde hair and pale skin. He was talking to another human, “Nick” apparently, who was slumped over some boxes he was putting on a shelf, back turned to where the borrowers were. This one had a dark red hoodie and black beanie pulled over his head that almost matched the shade of his hair. The first human was right, though; if human body language read anything like a borrowers, this guy really wasn’t looking good. Nevertheless, he responded. “Hm? No, no, I’m fine, Punz, really.” He mumbled, barely looking up. The blonde one, “Punz,” didn’t look like he believed it for a second. “Bullshit. C’mere, let me take your temperature.” He said, pulling the other human to face him, and-
No.
No fucking way.
Skeppy could feel that Bad at this point had noticed his absence and had come over to drag him away from the conversation by force, but he shook himself free from his grip, eyes never leaving the scene in front of him. That was him. There’s no way it wasn’t. His hair was different, far different from the hazel brown he remembered, the same shade as his father’s, but it was him. He even had the discoloration around his eyes to prove it, the scar that had nicknamed him “Pandas” all those years ago. He looked older, much older, no longer the teen Skeppy remembered, and more tired. Worn down, even. He really did look sick.
Bad wasn’t letting go, and now Sam was trying to help him. Punz and Nick- no, Sapnap, he was sure of it- were still idly chatting below, Punz trying to convince Sapnap he needed to go and Sapnap insisting he was fine. At another insistent yank from Bad, Skeppy finally snapped, pulling away and grabbing Bad by the front of his hood, dragging his face close. “Bad,” he whispered as quietly as he could with tears threatening to spill from his eyes, “it’s our son.”
He saw Bad’s eyes light up for a moment before fear masked his expression. He looked down at Sapnap, who was now sat alone, staring at the ground. Punz must’ve left at some point without him noticing. Bad sat in stunned silence, and for once Skeppy couldn’t read his expression. An expression he could read, however, was Sam’s. He looked an odd mix of confused and mortified. Skeppy was confused at the odd reaction before it hit him; Sam didn’t know Sapnap was a shifter. “That’s Sapna-mph?!“ “Shh!!” Sam whisper yelled before Skeppy slapped a hand over his mouth. “Ok, i don’t know what he’s doing here but yes, it has to be. He can…do this. I mean, he can look human. But he’s not! It’s…it’s a long story, dude.” “I- He..what?? Bad, you knew about this?” Sam whisper yelled again, quieter. “…Yes.” Bad took a moment to answer, like it pained him to admit out loud that the ‘human’ down there was his own son. “How can…how long has he-“ Sam cut himself off as Sapnap’s head snapped up, revealing that his eyes were almost black with how large his pupils were. He looked out of it entirely. He looked…predatory.
Bad gasped, stumbling back from the edge of the platform he’d been watching from and fell to the ground, clutching his chest, unable to control his ragged breathing. Skeppy and Sam were immediately right there beside him, Sam trying to lead him through breathing exercises as quietly as possible as Skeppy asked him what was wrong. After a few moments, Bad managed to choke out words. “We- we need…to go. We..we need t- to go now.” “Why? What’s going on?” Skeppy asked. Before Bad could give any semblance of an answer, they heard boxes be knocked over. To curious for his own good, Skeppy went to see what it was, and Sam and Bad reluctantly followed.
Sapnap was stood again, back turned to the three as he looked up at one of the shelves near him. And there stood- “Alex?” Skeppy heard Sam whisper, hope full in his voice. Skeppy had almost forgotten that the day Sapnap ran away was the last time Sam had seen his own son. Quackity looked older, too. His hair was longer and he looked more well nourished and muscular than the scrawny, scrappy little boy Skeppy had watched grow up. He also still wore his stupid little bandana and the face covering Karl had made him after he’d got that gash through his mouth. But even with that mask on, Skeppy noticed the confusion and pity in his eyes as he looked at his boyfriend.
“Sapnap?” Quackity asked, but there was no response. He kept looking for a little bit before sighing and looking around. What for, Skeppy didn’t know, but what he did find was them. Skeppy saw Quackity’s eyes go wide as he noticed the three, and he looked horrified. Sam stood and waved, moving to say something before Quackity violently charaded to keep quiet. He then started to shoo them, and Bad immediately took the hint and tried to pull the both of them away, but Skeppy and Sam held their ground. “Why?” Sam said just barely loud enough for Quackity to hear across the aisle, but also loud enough for Sapnap to notice apparently, as he started to turn around towards them. “Just go!!” Quackity screamed, drawing Sapnap’s attention back to himself as his head snapped back. Quackity took a step forward about to yell something else before time froze.
Faster than he could blink, Sapnap had reached up and roughly grabbed Quackity off the shelf, holding him to his face for a short moment before stuffing him in his mouth. He could hear muffled yelling, too distant to make out any words, and could see indents of Quackity pushing against Sapnap’s cheeks trying to fight his way out. Bad was silent, ghastly white and completely unmoving, not even breathing, which left Skeppy to turn his attention away from the scene in front of him to keep Sam quiet. He quickly and forcefully wrapped his arm around his mouth and pulled him back, using his other hand to push Sam’s head into the crook of his elbow to muffle him. Sam was yelling and screaming; clawing, kicking, doing anything just to make Skeppy to let him go, but he endured it. It was all he could do to not think too heavily into what he’d just seen. There was no way Sapnap would…eat him. He’d watched Quackity and Sapnap grow up together. Before Karl came along, it’d really just been the two of them. They were best friends from the start, and early in their teenage years, it turned to something more. Sapnap cared more about Quackity than himself, he knew that for a fact. There had to be something he was missing here, right?
All at once, Sam fell silent. The screaming, kicking, everything stopped. Everything but his crying; Skeppy could feel his sleeve growing wet with tears. Maybe this was a good sign. Maybe Sapnap had spit him out, maybe it was all a prank, a joke, anything. Sapnap was raised by him and Bad, after all. He’d seen his fair share of trolling from his fathers. Sapnap couldn’t do this, he and Bad hadn’t raised a monster. This wasn’t happening. Everything was ok.
As he looked up, the sight ahead of him said otherwise.
Sapnap had his head tilted up, one hand lightly pressed on something- no, someone in his throat, while the other was holding something just outside his mouth; a tail. Quackity’s tail. Quackity was moving under the pressure; squirming, thrashing even, under Sapnap’s skin, yet the expression on his son’s face read nothing but bliss. Skeppy could even swear he saw drool seeping out of the corners of his smile. He couldn’t watch this. He couldn’t stay here and stand to see the boy he had raised, had loved his entire life, kill someone that Skeppy had thought he’d watched him grow to love. But he couldn’t move. He stood frozen, tears welling in his eyes and his body cold from fear with Sam limp and silently sobbing in his arms. Sam, poor Sam, who sat here watching his son be eaten alive not only by his previous future son-in-law, by his own best friends’ son. Bad, who’d been so silent that Skeppy had nearly forgotten he was here, barely seemed to be breathing. His only signs of life were the tears pouring down his face and the violent shaking that wracked his entire frame. He looked so scared Skeppy was surprised he was still standing.
The three of them watched in silent horror as finally, after what felt like hours, Sapnap let go of Quackity’s tail. They watched his form fall farther and farther down Sapnap’s throat little by little until finally his struggles had disappeared beneath his lover’s collar bones, sealing his fate. Sapnap dropped his head and sighed, the blissful, at peace expression he wore making Skeppy sick. He watched Sapnap seemingly subconsciously trace a line down his torso, no doubt following where Quackity was within his body, until he finally placed a palm on his stomach. And if there was any doubt (which at this point could only be chalked up to wishful thinking) as to what fate Quackity had truly met, it had all been dispelled as the three heard horrible, violent gurgling sounds coming from Sapnap’s stomach. Sapnap covered his whole midsection with his arm, face tinged pink in apparent embarrassment as he whipped his head side to side to make sure no one was around. Luckily for the three of them, he still didn’t think to look up. He blinked a few times before looking down at where his arm laid for a few seconds and subsequently sighing, rolling his eyes (which Skeppy belatedly realized were back to normal instead of the horrifying all consuming black). He began rubbing his stomach as a few more gurgles were heard and he pulled a little thin black box from his apron, tapping it a few times before holding it to his ear.
A few seconds of silence later, Sapnap was speaking. “Hey, Dream! Did Punz tell you I was sick? He said he was going off to find you like 10 minutes ago.” More silence. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine now. I think I just needed something to eat, if you know what I mean.” Skeppy’s heart skipped a beat hearing Sapnap so nonchalantly refer to his own species, to someone he loved, as food. “I’m just gonna go on break now if that’s ok. Could you meet me by the security office? I need you to help me, uh…get rid of something.” Another break. “Ok, sounds good, I’ll meet you then. Bye.” He said, tapping the black box again before slipping it back into a pocket and moving to leave the aisle. At that, Skeppy decided it was far past time to go. He went to grab Bad before realizing that he was fully unconscious, likely having passed out from fear. Sam, on the other hand, lay sobbing. Skeppy could do nothing but try to drag him to away, but ultimately failed. “Sam,” Skeppy whispered, voice cracking through tears and shivering, “We…we have to go.” “I failed.” he responded, not bothering to whisper since Sapnap was gone. “I failed as a father. I couldn’t save him. I- I couldn’t save them. Either of them.” He chocked out, tears pouring harder. Skeppy stood shocked; Sam rarely mentioned his other son anymore. It’d been so, so long since he’s been around that Skeppy (as much as it pained him to admit it to himself) had almost forgotten he existed completely. And didn’t that just make this all the more sad; Sam didn’t deserve to lose another kid. He didn’t deserve to have these old scars ripped back open again. “You couldn’t have known.” Skeppy said, sitting down beside him. “There’s nothing you could’ve done. I…I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry, Sam.”
Skeppy wasn’t sure why he felt the need to apologize, but in some way, this felt like his fault. Sapnap was his son. What had he done wrong? How long had Sapnap been planning to do this? What would Karl say if he saw this? Is Karl even still alive, or did Sapnap get to him first? How were they gonna tell Tina that her younger brother got killed by his fiancé, of all people?
Skeppy was only snapped out of it when a hand rested on his own, and he turned to see Sam looking at him. His tear-stained expression held no anger, no contempt for the man who had raised the person to have just killed his son, just…pity and sadness. Sam didn’t hate him. Sam felt…sorry for him. Sorry that his son had turned out like this after so many years being away from home. Sorry that the boy who they’d both loved growing up was gone, twisted into a psychopath and cannibal. In a way, they’d both lost their kids today. Skeppy couldn’t do anything but break down, clinging to Sam and sobbing as he finally processed everything that he’d seen today. Sam just hugged back tightly, like Skeppy was his only lifeline, and sobbed with him.
“We should get going.” Sam sighed after what felt like hours. “We need to help Bad, and I’m sure the others are wondering why we’re not back yet.” Skeppy, still numb, just nodded and helped sling one of Bad’s unconscious arms over his shoulder while Sam took another. The walk back to where they had come from was silent, neither of them willing to bring up the fact that they hadn’t actually retrieved any supplies and the whole trip was kinda pointless, but were met with a sight that neither had been expecting.
The doors were tied shut with chains. They couldn’t get out.
They were stuck there till morning.
~~~~~
Sapnap sat in the break room fiddling with his phone when he saw Dream come in, twirling a set of keys on his finger. “You said you needed access to the security room?” “‘Bout time.” Sapnap responded sarcastically, standing up off the beanbag chair with a hand over his stomach to keep the extra weight in his gut from swaying as he moved. Seriously, no matter how many times or how often he’d done this, he was never going to get used to it, was he? “Sorry I needed to lock up the store, asshole.” Dream replied, leading him out of the room to the security office down the hall. “Ranboo is staying at my place tonight so Tom and Tubbo aren’t alone, so I had to lock up from inside today cause someone invited me to stay the night to work on parkour stuff.” “Don’t pin this on me, I’m being nice to you for once.” Sapnap replied, lightly elbowing Dream as he tried to unlock the door and messing him up. Dream flipped him off without even moving his vision away from the lock before getting back to work. “Are you at the security office yet?” Quackity asked, startling Sapnap which in turn startled Dream, who gave him an odd look. Sapnap just pointed to his stomach and Dream rolled his eyes and went back to work on the lock.
“Yeah, we are. Holy shit, dude, you scared the fuck outta me, I thought you were asleep. You haven’t said anything like this entire time.” “I couldn’t fall asleep. Something…something happened, man.” “…Well that doesn’t sound ominous at all. What kinda something? Something bad?? Are you ok, did I do something?” “I’m fine!” Quackity quickly responded, picking up on his fiancé’s nervous tone. “It’s just…well I don’t know yet. You’ll be able to see for yourself on the video camera. I don’t want to freak you out if it’s nothing.” Sapnap went to ask what that meant before Dream finally managed to open the door with a little cheer of celebration. He ushered Sapnap in as he started to log into the camera’s system.
“Ok, so can you tell me what happened?” Dream questioned. “It’s been a while since I did the instinct thing, so I guess I looked kinda sickly, so Punz ran to get you. After that I started to feel nauseous and sat down and passed out. When I woke up again, Quackity was in here and I felt a lot better. I think my instincts just fully took over so I wasn’t conscious, like, at all. I figured I would see what exactly happened and then delete the footage so no one else could see me lose it.” Dream nodded. “Yeah, I figured that’s what you meant by ‘needed something to eat.’ Kinda also figured that instincts had something to do with why Punz said you looked sick, so I asked Quackity to go and look for you.” Sapnap vaguely heard Quackity confirm what Dream had said. “Oh, thanks dude.” “No problem. Now, where and when was this again?”
Sapnap gave a few more specifications on what had happened, and at this point he could feel Quackity nervously pacing in his gut, which felt…weird, to say the least. “Quackity, dude, are you ok? You never move this much in there, it’s kinda freaking me out. And it feels weird.” “Sorry.” He heard as he felt Quackity drop back down to sit, almost immediately starting to tap his foot. “You’re nervous about something.” “No I’m-“ “You’re sitting with your eye sockets pressed into your knees while tapping your foot. I’ve known you my entire life, I don’t need to be able to see you to know what you’re doing. You only do that when you’re really anxious, what’s up?” “Like I said, you’ll see on the video.” Sapnap was about to respond again, but was agin cut off by Dream. “Found it! Oh shit, yeah, you look really out of it, I’m surprised you made it as long as y- what the fuck is that??” That bit caught Sapnap’s attention. He moved closer to the tv and noticed what Dream was questioning: on the grainy monitor, there were 3 small silhouettes on top of an aisle in front of Sapnap. “Are those…borrowers?” Dream asked, looking over to Sapnap. “They have to be. What the hell are more borrowers doing in the store? Q, is this what you were worried about?” “…Mostly.” Quackity responded, and Sapnap nodded to Dream so he could follow along. “…fast forward, see if you can tell when they leave.” Sapnap relayed the request to Dream, who did as he asked.
“Oh no…” Sapnap whispered. “What?” Dream asked, but Quackity was apparently more than aware of the issue. “They didn’t listen, did they? They didn’t go when I told them too?” “No, no they didn’t…” Sapnap whispered again, in shock. He felt Quackity stand and start to pace again, but this time couldn’t care to correct it. “What? Who didn’t what?” Dream asked. “The borrowers on the aisle. Quackity was signaling for them to leave so they wouldn’t see me do..that, but they didn’t. They’re seeing everything.” Sapnap gestured back up to the screen, where at this point he could see Quackity entering his throat and the borrowers backing up, one even kicking and fighting another to do something. “Well…thats not good, but it can’t be that bad, right? I mean, what are the odds you’ll ever see them again? I mean, sure they can tell a colony about a human that ate a borrower, but you guys have always kinda been under the impression we did that anyway, right? At the absolute worst, they’ll have another horror story to get kids to bed on time.” “Dream, I just traumatized 3 random borrowers for life.” “I was under the impression you were all just kinda traumatized from shit in general, is this really that much worse?” “Sapnap, tell him to shut up.” Quackity interrupted. Sapnap obliged by smacking a hand over Dream’s mouth and putting a finger over his own lips. “…I need you to let me out.” Sapnap looked confused for a moment. Quackity had only been in there for a few hours; normally when this happened he would just stay the night since it was more of a hassle to get dry and clean just to put on pjs. Something was wrong, still, Sapnap would never hold the man he loved against his will.
Sapnap quickly brought him up, placing a hand under his mouth as Quackity climbed out. Quackity’s head snapped immediately to the security footage. At this point, Sapnap could see himself finally swallow Quackity down, and the 3 borrowers react accordingly with varying levels or fear and distress. One of them even went unconscious. Quackity watched with a look of worry that made Sapnap anxious; in all the years he’d known Quackity, he’d never seen him like this. Why was he this worried? He barely registered that in the video he had regained control, only focused on what could have caused the fear in his fiancé’s eyes.
Until one of the borrowers turned enough for their face to be seen in the camera.
That…that was his dad. That was Skeppy, holding onto someone who had to be Sam. His other dad was taller than that. That means that the last one, the borrower who’d passed out when Sapnap had swallowed Quackity was…
Sapnap felt his breath speed up. He quickly set Quackity down on the desk as he clutched a hand to his chest and his vision started to blur. “Sap?” Dream questioned, hands hovering around him in concern, “Sapnap are you ok??” “That’s…Those are…” He couldn’t get the words out. Fuck. No, fuck, god no, this wasn’t how this was supposed to go, they weren’t supposed to know, they weren’t supposed to ever see him again but now they knew everything.
They knew he was a monster.
“…those are our dads.” Quackity whispered, barely audible as dreams eyes widened. “The one crying is my dad, the other two are Sapnap’s.”
Went to the beach today and as expected I thought of aus
And like any normal person the beach related sea au with mers that I was thinking about is-
A new Moana Au
Dream is Moana
Sapnap is Maui (but he's a fire demigod instead who can sizeshift)
George is a tiny octopus mer that's been growing up with Dream on the island and doesn't really care about the ocean (replaces Hay-hay the chicken)
Just like in Moana- Dream grows up loving the ocean and wanted to travel on it someday with his best friend George (who is always trying to talk him out of it "why would you want to go out there when you're given everything here?" "Adventure" "but naps" "but you've been threatened to be killed because you nap too much-" "which will never happen as long as I have you")
Eventually Dream's dream comes true, as he's sent off on a journey to return the heart of Badboyhalo, with the help of the sea God Skeppy (who he doesn't meet- and only really is aided by the water in the ocean- like the movie)
To do this, he'll have to find the fire demi god Sapnap, the one who took the heart of his own father
So Dream eventually gets Sapnap- but they need to get his headband back (a gift from Bad when he was a kid to help him use fire magic), and to do that they have to visit Sapnap's ex Quackity-
Quackity is a giant living in the land of giants with his and Sapnap's third, Karl (Karl is just a human)
Through this we learn that Sapnap took the heart of bbh with the help of a giant Quackity- they were both fooled by a maniplative human that was greedy for power and told them it would be fine. Sapnap knew something was up but followed Quackity in taking the heart, knowing the giant knew more about gods then he did... In the end Sapnap lost both his dad's (Skeppy stopped talking to him after that) and because of it both Sapnap and Quackity had a big fight that made Quackity leave Sapnap and take Karl with him
Of course, no matter how activated Quackity might get he's not going to kill Sapnap, and Karl is happy to help them with getting the headband
TinyHunt Chapter Three:
The Muffin Head
Tw: angst, torment, swearing, vague abuse of a certain cat, threats, and Muffiny. WC: 5K-ish
“Shhhhh, don’t worry Ant, it’s okay!” Bad reassured his cat Antfrost. Bad had received a call a few hours ago from his son Sapnap who had left a few days ago to live on his own with his friend George. Apparently, they were being tormented by a borrower, most humans weren’t aware of what they were actually called, but Skeppy had told Bad when they became friends.
Yes, Bad was a friend of a borrower, who was heading out to capture a borrower. Thankfully, Bad thinks he might know who this one is. After he received the call and had asked Sap what the borrower (Bad had called them ‘tinies’ on the call) looked like and ran the description by Skeppy. Skeppy told him that the borrower sounded like his friend Dream, who was similar to how he was back before he and Bad started living together.
However, Bad couldn’t let on that he was sympathetic for borrowers. Although he was a bit annoyed at Skeppy when he laughed at hearing that Bad’s son’s hair was set on fire. ‘Classic Dr-r-eam!’ He was stuttering through his laughs. But Bad was pulling up into the Driveway of Sap and George’s house. He got out of the car holding Ant, he went around back and grabbed his suitcase. Once he rolled it over to the front door, he knocked a light quick knock.
It took a second, but Sapnap finally answered the door, Bad looked at him and audibly gasped, his hair was singed. But regardless Bad embraced him, and looked over his shoulder. Inside he spotted George on the last step of stairs looking a bit awkward, he saw a shelf to his left, and a couch to the far left. On the right he spotted the kitchen. But on the shelf he saw a hint of green and orange. Bad instantly knew that it was probably Dream.
Dream was wondering why Bad looked like he knew who he was. It was bewildering to see someone recognize him, no human knew who he was. (Except for George and Sap of course) So he was intrigued. Callahan tugged on his shoulder, Dream turned to see new writing on paper, “We should go now.” Dream shook his head, “No, you go back into the vents, I’ll keep an eye on this new guy.” Callahan drooped for a moment. (Dream couldn’t see if he was frowning or not, his reindeer onesie covered his mouth.)
So Callahan retreated into the vents, but Dream stayed behind. Bad was talking to them about their living arrangements and was sad to hear that the other rooms available were all small (for a human anyway…) This fact only made Dream smile, he still believed a decent amount into The Arctic Academy motto, ‘To put the human’s in their place, we must stab ‘em in the face.’ It wasn’t the most clever motto, but it got the point across.
Sapnap’s dad ended up living in the room next to George’s, Antfrost got to sleep in the empty room that George hadn’t furnished yet. Thankfully Bad had a decent amount of things to fill the void, including a fairly large cat tree. “Here you go Ant! Go run free!” Bad let Antfrost get acquainted with the house by dropping them off in their main room. Bad looked to the left, “Woah George, you have an outdoor patio/ balcony?” “Yeah, there isn’t anything out there yet though.”
Bad hummed in approval, and went to the backyard downstairs. “So, what have you done with this place?” George squinted, which was when Bad noticed that his glasses were cracked down the middle. “Not much, I’ve mostly been preoccupied with the Tiny in my house, he calls himself ‘Dream’.” George seemed to think for a moment, “Actually, it’s been a bit since I’ve last heard from him…”
Dream was still contemplating what his next move would be, he heard later on that Bad was planning on having a barbecue to make George and Sap feel better, and he sent Sap to go and get groceries. This was a good opportunity to introduce Bad to what he could do. He slid down the vents to the backyard, and got out. George was out here setting up a grill that Bad had brought from his own home. He looked around from the porch, thankfully George hadn’t noticed him yet. Bad meanwhile was inside talking to the wall, presumably trying to trick Dream into coming out, little did he know that Dream was outside.
Regrettably there wasn’t much that Dream could use to disrupt George, but he did see a spade. Heh, it wasn’t much, but it would do it’s job. He attached his hook to the Spade, and swung it around over his head. He’s always been thankful for the training that Techno and Purpled put him through, it made him incredibly strong. Once he had built up enough momentum he let the Spade go by releasing the hook and launched it at the grill, damaging it, to add insult to injury, it ricocheted and hit George in the knee.
“Owwww!” George grimaced after the Spade collided with his knee, he looked in the direction that the Spade had come from and saw just who he expected, “Dream!” He he quickly grabbed a stick ready to beat him up, that was when Bad came outside. “George what happened?” George needed to warn Bad, “Bad! Watch out!” He pointed in the direction where Dream was. But Dream had already swung around Bad, “Hey Bad! Nice to meet you!” He swung straight onto Bad’s face underneath the hood and held onto his nose. “Oh you have glasses! Here we love glasses!” He swung away again before Bad could react and took Bad’s glasses with him.
“Ay! You Muffinhead give those back!” Bad tried to get the glasses back from the swinging Dream but couldn’t reach, meanwhile the borrower was laughing from the top of the porch. “‘Muffin Head? What even is that?” “It’s what you are!” The little muffin smirked up there. “Bad! Get the b*tch!” “Hey LANGUAGE!” “Now’s not the time for language!” Bad frowned at George, “There is always time for no swearing!” “Whatever, just get him!” Bad thought of what his approach should be. “Hey Dream, if you come down I’ll, uh, bake you some muffins?” Dream just laughed again. “You won’t be able to trick me that easily.”
"But, it's not a trick..." Bad replied awkwardly. Dream wouldn't be fooled though, "Welp, I'll see you two 'MuffinHeads', later!" He retreated into a second-floor vent. After returning to their Home Base above the living room, Dream discovered that Callahan was cooking up a soup. Now, the old Dream would've called this behavior 'reckless' and 'dangerous'. But after The Arctic Academy, and the discovery of Borrowers, it was pretty exciting. "Callahan, that smells delicious, what'd you make?" Callahan held up a sign asking him if he had any injuries, Dream shook his head and repeated the question.
Callahan didn't want to upset Dream, but the truth was that Badboyhalo had given Callahan the ingredients to make this. Yes, he knew that Dream was set on tormenting the humans, for… some reason. But it wasn’t Callahan’s fault, Bad was really nice. Bad chatted at him through the wall for a bit, and while Callahan didn’t respond, Bad kept talking. Eventually Callahan step outside of the wall and used his sign to write a message that he was a mute. Bad completely understood and talked with him. It was, a nice change of pace. It made him think back to the last human he’d revealed himself too.
“So, what’s Dream’s deal?” Bad asked after a bit, “What do you mean?” Callahan wrote. “Well, he’s really been tormenting my son and his friend…” Callahan took a moment to think after that, eventually he wrote: “I think he just has fun doing it, especially because of their reactions.” Bad nodded in understanding. “Yeah I know. I have a friend who’s a borrower who was just like that.” Callahan’s eyes widened, “Yeah, he was a bit of a memer.”
After that they heard George scream outside. “I assume that’s your muffiny friend, right?” Callahan nodded staring down into the face beneath the hood. (Freckles with glasses. Short hair.) “Well, I’ll go and try to negotiate with him, see you around Callahan.” Bad waved bye and left to go and confront Dream. It didn’t seem to work though as Dream recounted what he did this time. Callahan thought of asking him why he thought it was important to fight the humans, but thought better of it. “Oh you should’ve seen me Callahan, it was amazing.” Dream’s voice brought Callahan back to the present.
Callahan wrote on a paper asking Dream what his next idea was. Dream thought long and hard about what it should be as Callahan finished the delectable soup and passed a bowl to Dream. “I think that I’ll try to tie them up and lock ‘em in a closet, like I did to George a little while ago. Maybe I could even go with them when they travel and get them thrown out of somewhere.” Dream cackled. Callahan did think it was a bit much, but he was intrigued about how these things could go. Before they went to bed, Callahan gave Dream a reminder that while he could heal Dream, he couldn’t bring him back from the dead.
Dream just nodded sleepily, and hit the sack. Callahan could only hope he wouldn’t put himself into even more danger…
The next day…
“Sapnap! How could you forget the meat you muffin head!” Bad berated his son after checking over the groceries that Sap had brought home from the store. Sap tried to chime in, “No you know what Sap? Let’s all go to the Grocery store together.” George wanted to argue against that, “But Bad, what if he trashes the house? Bad nodded in his direction, “Don’t worry George, we have a cute kitty cat! We’ll be fine.”
Of course, Bad didn’t know that as he was speaking, Antfrost was being tied up by Dream. The tiny person made a noise at Antfrost, but as he was a cat, he failed to understand. This was not the first time that he wished he understood English. While Skeppy was nice, this little person was mean. “Meow!” Ant yowled as he was strung up in the closet. Meanwhile the tiny man let out something akin to a laugh. But Ant could only frown at him as he closed the closet door.
Dream laughed after closing the door on the kitty. Normally animals were harder to defeat in battle, but Antfrost was extremely easy to defeat. Dream quickly swung around the outside of the house to Bad’s red car and snuck inside through a crack in the roof. He hid in a hole under the seats of the Car. He could hear the humans taking muffled. “I call Shotgun!” “Sapnap no, I want the front!” “Now calm down you two muffin heads, both of you go in the back.” The car doors opened. Dream tensed just a bit, he wouldn’t be able to maneuver in this small space that much, and he couldn’t distract Bad.
Although he’s never admit, he came to enjoy the humans company and speech. If he didn’t hate their entire species, maybe, they could be… never mind. He just didn’t want them to die yet, that was all, if he did feel anything other than hatred for their kind, he didn’t want to know that his mates would say. After approximately 20 minutes, the car rolled to a stop. “Okay, George I need you to go get some meat to cook. Sapnap, I need you to get some drinks that we can have. And I will get some baking supplies for muffins.” Bad ordered, “Do we got that?” George raised his hand.
“Yes George.” “Why are we going through all this work to have a barbecue for ourselves?” Bad sighed, “Because you muffin, maybe our neighbors might see the smoke and want to join in our barbecue.” “Oooooh, that makes sense.” Then the three of them set out to get the stuff. Now Dream had to decide which one he’d go after first. He looked over his three options, and smiled in the direction of George.
He swung about the top of the shelf’s and aisles watching George for the perfect moment. He ended up chilling above the containers with the meat on a light fixture that George was perusing. He chuckled just a little, but it was enough for George to turn around and spot him to the right. George glared at him, but didn’t say anything. Dream saw that their was a woman with their back to George, and George was facing in their direction and was pretty close.
What happened next isn’t really that good to describe, but let’s just say the hook grabbed onto something which resulted in the woman turning around and back-handing George. “Ow! That wasn’t me, it was that tiny up there!” He pointed at Dream to which the Lady turned around, but Dream was already gone. After the lady beat George with her purse and got him kicked out, Dream went to find Bad. It didn’t take that long to find him, after all, it doesn’t take a genius like Dream to know that Badboyhalo was in the bakery area of the store, more specifically with the muffin supplies.
“Alrighty then, which is the best muffin recipe to use?” He scanned the many boxes of muffin mixes to determine which would the most delicious to bake. He had perfected the art of baking Muffins, the craft of them. He hoped to one day teach it to Skeppy, if he ever stopped messing about trolling him. But at least Skeppy had boundaries! Unlike Dream, who didn’t have any from the looks. Skeppy had briefly explained over the phone, (He had a hard time using the phone Bad got him, but he managed.) that his specific group of borrowers had a deep hatred for humans and would like to ‘put them in their place’. Bad, although he was sympathetic for their kind, couldn’t imagine how they would pull that off. He could only hope they wouldn’t hurt themselves too much.
That was when he noticed Dream in the corner of his eye. That little Muffin Head followed them! That was when he also received a phone call from George that Dream had gotten him thrown out of the store. Bad reassured him that he’d get the meat himself. He started openly talking to Dream, but he tried to be subtle about it. “Hmmm, I wish I knew what type of muffin Dream would most like to eat…” He continued to say things of this nature in the hopes that Dream would attempt to communicate. Granted, he already knew which Muffin Dream would most like.
“Oh yeah, Dream likes Chocolate Chips…” Callahan had said when Bad asked him. (Well, he actually wrote… ok, I think you get it by now) “Well, guess I’ll just get these chocolate chip ones, they’re pretty good.” He then kept a close eye on Dream to make sure no Muffiny occurred. He just had to hope he could avoid whatever Dream might do while he left to go get some beef. He perused the aisle and waited for whatever Dream might do, eventually settling on burger meat and grabbing some bacon as well.
Dream followed Bad, he wondered why on earth Bad would try to be… nice to him. Eventually he came to the only logical conclusion. Bad was trying to poison him. I mean, it made sense right? Like why on earth would Bad want to be friends with a borrower when they were only viewed as pests? Dream rolled these thoughts around in his head and steeled himself to the anger he should feel for their kind. Meanwhile Bad was selecting the meat to make and ‘wondering which one Dream would like best.’ He went up to one of the higher up shelves and started stringing it up.
Once he got all the strings attached and winding around all of the cans that were up here, all he had to do was pull it. He actually had to cover his ears from the clanging and clattering that landed on Badboyhalo’s head. “Auhhhh!” Bad yelped as the cans domed him several times over. An employee did rush over to help him, meanwhile Dream cackled and decided that now would be a good time to go harass Sapnap. He swung around searching, struggling to recall where Sapnap went. Eventually he caught sight of his white bandanna in the cold area with the drinks.
Sapnap was perusing the drinks, trying to figure out which one the two of his friends would most enjoy. He eventually settled on getting a variety. (After all, if other people from the neighborhood would come they might like different things.) He grabbed the Coke, the Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, you know, the works. He, hesitated for some reason on picking up the Big Red. It felt, a bit strange like he was compelled to pick it up.
So he grabbed it and added it to his cart. That was when he spotted that little muffin, b*tch, he means b*tch! Dream up on the rafters. “Hey!” He shouted up at him, and the people in the aisle looked at him strangely. But he didn’t care, he just threw the Big Red bottle at Dream. And he missed, and somehow it opened and sprayed everywhere.
“AURGG!” He shouted as he got drenched. Then security came by, “Hey! Let go of me!” He struggled against the Security Guards, “Sorry sir, but you’ve caused a disturbance and spilled Big Red all over the place.” The Security Guards informed him as they carried him to the front door. “No, wait! There’s a Tiny up there!” He pointed up the rafters, but Dream was already gone.
“Yeah sure buddy, this store is Tiny free, now please, get out.” Sapnap continued protesting as they essentially threw him out of the store. Dream just couldn’t stop laughing and thought he might piss himself. He did eventually get back to his senses and snuck back to the car, and rode back home with an upset George, angry Sapnap, and an extremely irritated Bad. “You two absolute Muffins!”
Bad started berating them like children, “How did Dream manage to get both of you thrown out of the store!?” Sapnap shouted back “I don’t know okay! All I do know is that that green b*tch, (“Language!”) is probably in this car with us!” George started looking all over the car in pure paranoia. “Y-you guys don’t th-think he’d try to crash the car, right?”
Dream knew he wouldn’t do that, it wouldn’t be very fun, and although technically speaking killing them would help complete his mission, enslaving then would be the best way to go. After tormenting them a bit. Bad and Sapnap blanched for a moment, before Sapnap shook his head, “No, I don’t think he will, not as long as we’re still fun for him to mess with.” Well, he isn’t wrong. So once they got home and Bad fretted around with Antfrost after finding him tied up, Dream went and chilled on the roof.
He thought that getting an idea of who the neighbors were would be helpful if any of them decide to come for the barbecue. To the left of the house he spied a single Dad who was rather tall with a pink-haired toddler, okay, shouldn’t be too hard to mess with if Dream wants too. To the right of the house is a new family that just moved in, he spied a brown haired with a beanie unloading band equipment. Alongside that he spotted a child racing through the house with a woman who had vibrant red and a nice ocean-y dress. Ok, coolio. That was when he realized that it was time for the barbecue.
Bad had set up the grill and had already got Sapnap to make burgers, meanwhile he was inside baking muffins. Dream spied the tall single dad noticing the smoke and coming over with his toddler. Dream grimaced, it would be difficult to do a prank to everyone, especially when he saw the family of three also coming to check the barbecue out. Dream decided that he’d probably be better off just observing the celebration and settled to go hang with Callahan for a bit, maybe explore the other houses as well. He hear the door knock, “I’ll get it George yelled at Bad as he went to open the door, and lo and behold, it was the single tall dad, Dream really needed a better name for him.
“Hello neighbor, what’s your name?” George asked the new guy, “Oh, I’m Ranboo.” “Cool.” They both stared at each other awkwardly. “So can I come in?” “Yeah sure.” “This is Micheal by the way.” Ranboo gestured toward the child he held in his arms. They went to sit in the couch together and engage ins some small talk while Sap cooked. “Sooo, umm, wh-why has this house been pretty loud, ahem, recently?” Oh, so this was a noise complaint, it’s reasonable to assume that the neighbors would be upset with the noise these guys make as Dream torments them. The door was knocked on again, this time though, Bad answered as he just put the Muffins in the oven.
“Hello neighbors! Come on in! Ah, I see you have a young muffin!” Bad gestured for the family of three to come inside, for some reason though there was some water on her arms. “Oh, you’re wet, here let me get you a towe-“ “No.” The two adults said. “It’s fine,” the one in the yellow shirt continued, “She likes being wet.” “Okay…” Bad responded confused. “So what are you guys cooking?” The red head changed the subject. Dream was getting bored though, so he decided to head over to Ranboo’s house to see what was going on over there. He headed up to the roof and swung over and into the house via a crack. He roamed about the house until he was confronted by a voice.
“Oi Bitch! What are ya doin!” “Tommy shut up!” “You shut up Tubbo this guys got a cool ass looking hook!” Dream swung into the kitchen counter which is where these two borrowers were. It was obvious immediately that these two had not attended The Arctic Academy. “Hello Tommy and Tubbo,” he said awkwardly taking their names from what they just said. “Ayup Prick, how do ya know our names!?” The blonde one, Tommy asked him. Dream just stared at him until it clicked, or more specifically the brown haired Tubbo made it click. “Oh right.” Tommy said after Tubbo reminded him that they had just yelled each others names out. These two idiots bickered a bit more while Dream stared around the room, seeing outside the window that a woman was knocking on the door to his house. Dream took notice of her brown hair and pink eyes, that were almost glowing.
She had a white shirt that was tucked into a black skirt and a necklace with a purple, almost pink, jewel at the end of it. Interesting. That was when he realized that Tommy was still talking to him. “Hellooo bitch, are you there!” Dream shook himself, refocusing on these two. “Yeah, I’m here and my name is Dream, not Bitch.” “Sure whatever you say,” he turns back to Tubbo, “He sounds like the kind of guy who just goes mimimimimi, you know?” He loudly whispered to Tubbo. Dream just scowled at the two of them. “I don’t have time for this.” He leaves them with that to go get some food. “Hey! Wait a minute! At least let us show you to Ranboo!” Ranboo! We’re these two traitors or something!? Willing to give up their own kind for survival, disgusting.
Dream turns back drawing his needle and points it directly at Tommy’s throat. “What did you say, Tommy?” He asks almost in a whisper. Tommy seems utterly stunned, until he responds. “Get that fucking needle out of my face, Ranboo is a friend of mine who is kind to borrowers, so calm down if you think you know who I’m talking about-“ Dream cuts him off. “Friend? Did you really just say that? I am part of The Borrower Rebellion, and if you honestly think that humans could be our friends than there is something seriously wrong going on here.” He extends his hand to Tommy, “Whatever this Ranboo has done to you, I will take you away from here and protect you.” Tommy took a step back. “What the fuck are you talking about, me an Ranboo are friends, he’s been taking care of me and Tubs, no way is he a bad guy.
Dream grimaced, he was more brainwashed than he thought. “Well if your gonna be living with this human and being their plaything, than be my guest,” Dream informed him, “But you better be ready Tommy, because theirs a storm coming, and humans like Ranboo will be put where they belong.” Dream swung away with as much flare as he could to prove his point. He was still pissed off, but decided to not let it get to him too much. He just had to hood that those two were saveable from their mindset, and that they’d still be alive once the rebellion starts making some actual headway. He really should go back to The Academy to find out exactly what their current plan was and how he could help.
He got to the backyard of George and Sapnap’s home and watched from a tree as the festivities continued. He could’ve sworn that he saw something hiding by a gutter, but when he looked again there was nothing, must’ve been a trick of the light. He thought about what he could possibly do to prank these humans today, he remembered that Callahan informed him that there was a special type of leaf that could give any creature horrible indigestion, and that there was a few in the backyard hanging from the tree. Grinning mischievously, he pulled a few off and swung just over the grill in some hanging lights. He spied where the lettuce would be and swiftly replaced a load of it with the leaves.
Sapnap prepared the burgers, the fool not realizing that the leaves he was using wasn’t lettuce. Everybody got their burgers and sat at Picnic tables, Kayla, (Dream had heard her name whilst spying,) had chosen Big Red, Wil had chosen a Diet Coke, and everyone else had either a Pepsi or regular Coke. Dream thought he saw Kayla listen to something, but he couldn’t see what she appeared to be listening too. She started looking up and around the place as if she was looking for something. Or someone. How could she know though? Eventually everyone had started eating and were excusing themselves either home or to the bathroom. George, Sap, and Bad all looked confused and in a bit of pain presumably from the indigestion.
Bad spied Dream as the little green muffin was laughing his butt off from a tree in the backyard. “Guys! Look up there! The little green potato did this!” George and Sap were understandably very upset at this, but Bad tried to calm the two down. (Man it’s like they never changed…) “Hey Dreeeaam?” Bad called up to him, “I have something for you, Dream!“ Bad presented the Muffin that he made especially for Dream. It was green with chocolate chips. Dream looked at it questioningly, “What? Is that meant to represent what you’ll do to me when you catch me? Because if so than that’s creative I’ll admit but a rather stupid sentiment on your part for believing you’ll catch me.” Now it was Bad’s turn to be confused, “Wait, Dream this isn’t a trick! I want to just bury the hatchet!” “Yea, right into his back…” George whispered.
Dream laughed, while Bad scowled at George. “You’ll never be able to trick me Muffin man, and whoever Sapnap’s calling on the phone won’t get me either!” Bad turned his back on Dream and saw Sapnap in the phone with someone. “Sapnap, who are you calling!?” Bad realized that it’d be a good idea to absolutely make sure that these two ragamuffins wouldn’t kill Dream so that he could negotiate, you know, for Skeppy. “Only the best exterminator in Essempi Bad. I’m done trying to negotiate with him.” Bad came to the realization that he really needs to up his convincing game, before Sam or those other two kills him. Because if he dies, Bad’s not sure Skeppy will forgive him.
Awesamdude was sitting at his desk trying to find a connection between the Tiny Attacks (TA’s) that had been occurring recently, there weren’t a lot of them, but they were still significant. Then his phone rang. “Sam Nook’s Extermination service, how May I help you?” He recited as if from a script, his brother Sam Nook was the founder of the company. “Sam it’s me.” Came Sapnap’s voice, “Sap? What do ya need dude?” He asked dropping the formal voice. “Me and my friend have a tiny problem, literally.”
Sam’s face darkened, “Have you been harassed by a Tiny that has a different hook than usual?” “Yes, how’d you know?” “Because you aren’t the only one who’s been experiencing this problem Sap, I’ll be right there.” He hangs up the phone and takes a moment to look through the glass near his desk. In the other side lies a few rows of tinies in jars, and a equal amount of hooks on display. “Time to add another to my collection…”
Luck seemed to have never been on Karl's side. When he was little, his parents decided to leave him to his own devices and left, leaving the little 4-year-old borrower alone.
A few days later, he was found by a colony of borrowers who lived in the same building. They decided to take care of him since he was still a child but when he was 15 years old, they kicked him out of the colony.
They said that he was no good at being a borrower and that he was just a little scum who didn't know how to borrow properly. He ended up spending five years living alone in another part of that same building, eventually having to leave after being seen by one of the human residents. He found a house but only lived there for about three years.
He was seen again by the human of the house and had no choice but to have to leave again. That was how he ended up in the situation he found himself in.
Karl was running in an alley trying to avoid a rat that had decided to attack him. The rat managed to knock him down, placing its paws on his chest with its claws digging into him.
Karl let out a small cry of pain, causing the animal to sink its claws deeper into his chest. He nearly passed out from the pain when he heard. “”Hey!” "Get out of here! You can hunt other things!” two different voices that made the rat run away leaving Karl lying there.
He looked up for a moment seeing two humans staring at him. Karl began to shake with fear, he had been told many horrible things that humans did to borrowers like him. "Hey... you're going to be fine, we're not going to hurt you." The one with the blue beanie said softly, as he slowly crouched down next to Karl.
Karl let out a small yelp of fear as the other human fell beside the one in the blue beanie. "We can see that he's so scared... I'm going to see if changing the size relaxes him." commented the dark-haired man in the white bandana. 'Resize? What did he mean?' he thought, confused by the human's words. Suddenly the black-haired human shrunk to the size of the borrower.
Karl was puzzled by what he saw. Until a few seconds ago the dark-haired man was the size of a human and now he was about Karl's height. "H-how did you do that?" he asked, less afraid now as one of the humans was no longer looming over him. "It's an ability I have from birth, I can change size whenever I want." he answered as he approached the injured borrower.
"But now let's focus on you, are you okay?" Karl nodded softly, directing his gaze at the human in the blue beanie. "Don't worry about Quackity, he won't hurt you." "You're sure?" Karl asked, doubting the dark-haired man's words a little.
"Completely. By the way, I'm Sapnap and this is my fiancé Quackity, what about you? What's your name? Sapnap said, unable to bear the excitement of meeting a borrower. “M-My name is Karl…” he replied feeling a bit dizzy, passing out soon after. Sapnap tried to pick Karl up but failed. Quackity giggled reaching up to the two tinies.
“Sapnap, do you mind if I store you both? I have no pockets and you are probably too tired to change sizes again.” Quackity said, bringing the little ones closer to his face. Sapnap nodded, stretching a little. "Yeah, I don't mind and if at any time he wakes up I will try my best to calm him down."
Quackity nodded and gently opened his mouth, slowly tilting his hand so that both tinies slipped inside. Once they were in his mouth, he slowly closed it, beginning to lick them both.
Once they were completely covered in saliva, he leaned his head back and gently swallowed Karl first. He could feel Sapnap fighting his tongue and he smacked Sapnap across the face with it, chuckling.
Finally Quackity pushed Sapnap to the back of his mouth and swallowed him. He couldn't help but purr as he felt him squirm down his throat, entering the storage soon after. "Make yourself comfortable Sap, it will take a while to get back home." he said with a small purr as Sapnap gave him a confirming pat.
He got up from the ground and started walking back, preferring to get home before Karl woke up, not wanting him to have a panic attack.
