âDarling,â Sirius whines, fist banging on the door. âOpen up.â
You donât say anything. Youâre annoyed at him. Heâs been teasing you all afternoon and maybe itâs your fault for getting so flustered but he just wouldnât stop. It was all too much and now youâve locked yourself in his bedroom.
âY/N, please,â Sirius begs, taking your silence in his stride. âI promise Iâll stop now, really.â
Somehow you donât think thatâs true. Somehow you think heâll leave you be for the rest of the day and then go right back to his teasing self tomorrow.
âNo,â you say quietly, not sure he can ever hear you through the door. âLeave me alone.â
Sirius groans dramatically and you think you hear his forehead thump on the door. You try not to smile at his dramatics. You fail and end up smiling anyway. Youâre lucky he canât see you, heâd poke fun for sure.
Itâs not that you donât like the teasing. Itâs that you do like it. A bit too much. It makes your skin all tingly and your heart go berserk and you canât stand him, you swear. Youâd let him do it more if you thought you could handle it. You want him to do it more but you canât handle it.
âHoneybee,â comes Sirius voice again, much quieter this time. Softer. âIâm really sorry.â
Heâs buttering you up, you know, and itâs working. The pet names, the soft tone he only ever uses with you. The apology that really, he shouldnât have to give. It makes you want to wrench the door open and kiss him on his pretty mouth.
Instead you turn the lock and open the door very slowly. Sirius straightens where heâd been moping with his forehead on the door. You open it just wide enough so he can see you.
âSweetheart,â he says, looking one part sorry and two parts relieved. Youâd think heâd kicked your dog, the way heâs looking at you. âIâm sorry.â
You shake your head. âItâs okay,â you say softly. âI, um. Iâm sorry. I just got âŚâ Flustered. Shy. Sick with love.
Sirius nods vigorously. You know he can hear the words youâre not saying. âI know. And Iâm sorry.â
You smile despite yourself. âStop saying sorry. Sânot your fault.â
âNo, but it is,â Sirius says, insistent. âI know I take it too far sometimes. Itâs mean.â
Heâs undoing you with his gentle apology. So, really, itâs his fault when you blurt, âWho says I donât like mean?â
Siriusâ eyes go wide as saucers. âWhat?â
Now youâve really put your foot in it. You duck your head and stare at the floor so you donât have to look at him. Wishing it would swallow you up. âUm,â you say.
Sirius laughs, loud and startling. âDarling,â he says through his ridiculously delighted fit of laughter, his tone near chiding.
You grumble at the floor, refusing to look at him because you know heâll make you smile as soon as you do. You donât want to smile. Youâre embarrassed.
It takes him a while to stop laughing. It fills your ears and creeps into your chest and vibrates around your heart. You enjoy it more than you should. Especially since heâs totally laughing at you. When heâs finally done he steps into your space and hooks a finger under your chin.
âLook at me, will you?â He asks softly, smile evident in his voice. Itâs more of a plea than a question. You really canât not do what heâs asking.
You look up. Sirius beams.
âThereâs my lovely girl,â he says, dripping in a fondness that almost has you shutting the door in his face again. âMy lovely shy girl.â
You want to duck your head again but heâs got his fingers around your jaw, stopping you from moving.
âCan I have a hug?â He asks softly, all puppy eyes and pouting lips, and you hate him, you swear.
You let him have one anyway.

Jade can I please get a chatty af yapper sunshine girlfriend with Sirius?? Like May be someone tells her she talks a lot so she's super quiet around him cuz she's worried he'll get annoyed and break up with her but poor Sirius he misses his chatty girl and just angst with fluff
thank you for requesting! fem, 1.4k
James Potter means well. Honestly, you donât think he has a mean bone in his body, so you try not to take it to heart.Â
Unfortunately, your attempts to do so donât work. They really, unquestionably donât. By the time youâre outside of Siriusâ flat that afternoon, Jamesâ small comment is all you can think of.Â
âYouâre so chatty Iâm surprised you donât run out of breath,â heâd said. Not without love. Youâd bumped into him in Sainsburyâs and ended up talking for ages about one thing or another, you know him well, youâd even say you were friends, though heâs of course Siriusâ friend rather than your own. âBut Iâm the same. God, Sirius used to hate how much I talked, heâd be sick of me. I think I numbed him to it over the years.âÂ
You canât imagine it. Sirius and James are best friends. With Remus, theyâre the most in love threesome of friends youâve ever met, and itâs nice; it makes you very proud to have a boyfriend who cares for others as deeply as Sirius cares for them. Itâs like a constant demonstration of how heâs a good man.Â
But youâd never stopped to consider that they werenât always so seamless, and youâve regrettably never considered that your constant talking is something that could put him off.Â
You talk to Sirius about everything. There isnât a word to describe the excitement of having someone waiting to listen to you every single night. You could tell him every detail of a day down to what colour socks you wore and you know heâll sit there listening with his hand on the small of your back, or his fingers twined between yours. Youâve never felt so loved as to be able to just talk about everything and have him talk back.Â
But⌠what if, this whole time, heâs been wishing for a little bit of quiet?Â
What if eventually, the talking becomes too much?Â
He must be with you for a reason. You arenât holding the poor guy hostage, he acts like heâs mad for you ninety percent of the time (while the other ten percent is spent sleeping on your shoulder).Â
Like now âyou knock his door and you can hear him scrambling up from the sofa, the sound of a book dislodged or a remote hitting the rug, youâre not sure. The door yanks open and Sirius smiles at you, pulling you in through the gap with a familiar hand on your hip.Â
âHey,â Sirius says, tucking you against his side, âhey, did you get lovelier over the weekend?â He shoves the door closed and gives you a hug with one arm, pausing in the hall. âSorry I couldnât see you. I donât think we should miss another weekend.âÂ
You have a lot to tell him. Itâs been ages since you spent nearly three days apart, but Jamesâ conversation stays at the front of your mind.Â
You decide to be less overwhelming, but not less loving, curling your arm behind his head to pull his cheek down for a kiss. âI donât think so, either.âÂ
Sirius tilts his head away from you in an invitation for more kissing.Â
Youâre at home in his flat. You take off your shoes and hang up your jacket. You change into a pair of jogging bottoms with loose legs and let him hoist you onto his bed for a few stolen kisses, though he isnât propositioning you, and you end up laying across his bedspread with one of your legs in his lap as he tells you about his days without you, his thumb sliding with pressure down your calf.Â
âMostly I wished Iâd asked you to come over anyways, even if it was just to sleep together at the end of the day. Maybe next time we can do that?â he asks.Â
âOf course we can.â You smile at him indulgently. âIâd come over for twenty minutes if it was all I could get.âÂ
âOr I can come to you,â he says, âeven if itâs just twenty minutes.âÂ
He smiles, a beaming thing, and leans down slowly for a soft kiss.Â
âSo,â he asks, his breath on your lips, âhow was your weekend? Lonely?âÂ
âSo lonely,â you tease lightly, eyes fluttering closed as he continues his massaging of your leg. âBut it was okay. I missed you, really, and didnât do much else.â
âNo?â he asks.Â
Your voice takes on a shine as he squeezes your knee, âMissed your hands.â Â
âI missed your everything.â He grabs for your forearms and pulls you into a sitting position. âBut everything was okay?â he asks more seriously.Â
âEverything was fine.âÂ
He raises his eyebrows, but eventually lets them relax. âWell, okay. Good, sweetheart, Iâm glad it was okay.âÂ
He persuades you into the kitchen to sit with him as he makes dinner, refusing to let you help, and yet insisting you be there in the same room, as though youâd like to be anywhere else. Sirius makes your favourite of his usual rotation, offering you spoonfuls for tasting, gaps of silence stretching as he struggles to find new conversation. You start answering his questions but remember time and time again that Sirius could become totally sick of you. He might already be.Â
Sirius puts the food on a low heat and washes his hands. He wipes them dry, but when he takes your face, dampness lines the inside of his fingers.Â
âIâd like for you to tell me whatâs wrong,â he says gently, stroking at the line of your startled frown, âbefore it gets worse. Do you want to talk about it?âÂ
âNothingâs wrong.âÂ
âPlease donât, lovely. If Iâve done something wrong, please tell me. I want us to last forever, and we canât do that if you wonât tell me when I upset you.âÂ
âIt wasnât you,â you say instinctively, then regret it.Â
âSo someone has?â he asks, still so gentle as his hands coast down your neck like heâs sculpting you, coming to rest on the slopes leading to your shoulders. âYou can tell me anything. You donât have to keep it to yourself⌠please.âÂ
âAre you sure?âÂ
âSweetheart.â He frowns deeply. Couldnât look more upset. âOf course Iâm sure. Why wouldnât I be?âÂ
You chew it over, not wanting or willing to cause ructions between Sirius and his oldest friend. âWell, I saw James today at the shop, and⌠we were talking about youâŚâÂ
He waits. âAnd?âÂ
âAnd he told me youâ you donât like talking. That you didnât like talking, that James used to make you sick of it. So I know I talk too much and youâve never made me feel like I shouldnât, but I guess I got into my head thinking youâd get sick of me, too.âÂ
âWhen we were younger I didnât like much of anything.â He curls an arm behind your neck to hold you in place, but itâs not a dominant sort of movement, only protective as your noses inch together. âDid you ever read that poem by Bukwoski? Let It Enfold You?âÂ
âWhat?âÂ
âIâm not very good at explaining myself. I thought if you knew the poem, youâdââ He laughs near your cheek. âI hated everything. It wasnât Jamesâ fault. He did make me sick of it sometimes, but I just wanted to hide from everything.â He breathes out slowly. âIâve never wanted to hide from you. I canât get sick of you. Do you get that? I canât get sick of you. Listening to you is the best part of my day, youâre my personal chatterbox.âÂ
âChatterbox,â you repeat teasingly.Â
âYou could talk for Wales,â he says. âAnd I love it, I donât want you to stop, because Iâll never be sick of it.â
âI donât want it to be some secret resentment.â
âI donât resent you for anything. I knew exactly who you were when we met and I love it.â He takes your face again. âI love it,â he repeats.Â
You steal a little kiss against the corner of his lips. âWhat was the poem?â you ask.Â
âIâll find my book, and you can read it to me. What do you think?â He takes a slow kiss as you had in the same place, words like honey. âI miss your voice.âÂ
Heâs basically pleading. Itâs not like Sirius to plead, but you pull it out of him.Â
âCan I have my dinner first?âÂ
âThe one I made while you deprived me?â he asks. âYes, if you must.âÂ
He takes another kiss, but youâre happy to give it.Â

hi my love iâm obsessed with all your works and this is my first request!
poly! marauders and cuteness aggression. like maybe reader coming home a bit tipsy from girls night and just seeing her boys and losing it. grabbing remusâ face and just kissing all over his cheeks, gnawing on jamesâ biceps and playing with siriusâ hair or tracing his tattoos.
Hi lovely, thank you for requesting!
cw: alcohol
poly!marauders x fem!reader ⥠589 words
You leave a trail of things down the hallway that you swear youâll pick up in the morning. Your bag, both shoes, your jacket. Thereâs no time to put any of it in its proper place, not when you know your boyfriends are all cozy and waiting for you in your bed. Everything else is secondary.Â
The moment you get your eyes on them, itâs already too much. Remus is reading while Sirius chats to a nearly-asleep James, and you donât know whether to scream or hug them or burst into tears. One feels more socially acceptable than the rest.Â
A grin spreads over Siriusâ face as you crawl clumsily up the bed, so you go to him first.Â
âHi, baby.â You smear a kiss over his lips, burrowing your hands in his lovely, silken hair. It smells like his conditioner, smokey and heady and just slightly sweet. You wish you could snort it up into your nose like a drug.Â
âHi, baby,â Sirius says back at you, amused. âDid you have a good night?âÂ
âNo,â you lament, though you think you might have enjoyed it at the time.Â
Impulsively, you move to Remus, clambering across James to get on your quietest boyfriendâs lap. Heâs already set down his book, so there are no barriers to your whims as you take his face between both hands, squishing his cheeks up and kissing them all over. You think you can hear the other boys laughing somewhere beyond your lovesick haze. Remusâ skin grows warmer with each ardent press of your lips.Â
âNone of you were there,â you go on. Itâs impossible to articulate the full extent of this injustice. âYou were here, being so lovely and perfect and lovely without me.âÂ
âThatâs lovely twice.â Remus seems to recover somewhat from your surprise attack. His hand comes to rest in the middle of your back, a touch just for touchâs sake. âHow much have you had, dove?âÂ
You make a petulant, whiny sound, burying your face in his neck. There will never be enough of them, your lovely boyfriends. Or maybe itâs that theyâre enough, but you just canât get enough. Regardless. Youâre doomed to remain just on the brink of satisfaction.Â
âEnough to know that I missed you a lot,â you say pitifully.Â
âAwe, babydoll.â Jamesâ laughter is at odds with his compassionate tone. âCome here, mâlove.âÂ
This sounds like a grand idea to you. You wish theyâd simply all squish together so you could lay your affections on them one by one, in rounds.Â
James puckers his lips as you approach, readying for a kiss, and so is taken entirely aback when you forgo his face entirely.Â
âOh, well,â he says as you suck a hickey on his bicep. âI feel properly objectified.âÂ
Youâre too pleased with yourself to be sorry. He flexes playfully, eliciting a string of giggles from you as you latch on tighter.Â
âDo you think sheâs been drugged?â you hear Remus ask.Â
âDunno.â Jamesâ tone is fond. His big hand lands on the back of your head.Â
âNo, I sort of get it,â says Sirius. The mattress dips slightly, and then you feel him plant a wet kiss on your shoulder. âYou just need to get it out of your system, yeah, sweetness?âÂ
You hum in affirmation. You wrap your arms around Jamesâ middle, squeezing tight.Â
âI love you so much,â you mumble into his skin. âIâm gonna kill you.âÂ
Your boyfriendâs frame rumbles with laughter. âOkay, lovie,â he says indulgently. âYou go right ahead.â

James and Sirius and Remus and Lily and *takes a dramatic breath* you?
this one's for you @enamoredwithbella, thanks for sorting this idea out with me @unstablereader
poly!Marauders + Lily x shy!reader who is so smitten with them
pt 1 // pt 2 // pt 3 // pt 4 // pt 5
CW: fem!reader, reader has hair long enough to be played with, reader is in Hufflepuff, swearing, consent because it's sexy AF
This was obviously a bad idea.
Youâre not even sure how your friends managed to convince you to attend the Gryffindor party, but you swore to every deity it would never happen again.
There were too many people (most of whom youâd never spoken to before), it was too loud (songs you didnât particularly care for), and the fifteenth time someone bumped into you nearly sent you over the edge.
âWhoa there, sweetheart.â A low voice commented as an arm quickly righted you from your nearly horizontal position. âYâalright?â
You looked up to see the face of none other than Gryffindor quidditch captain James Potter beaming down at you.
You were ashamed of yourself for the way that smile made you feel.
âErm, yup! Thanks.â You squeaked, quickly freeing yourself from Jamesâ grasp so fast that you nearly knocked someone else over in your attempt at creating distance between you and the Headboy.
It wasnât that you didnât like James. On the contrary; you were rather smitten with him.
Him and his partners - which was nothing short of dense in simple terms.
But you couldnât help the way you blushed when he held the doors open for you as you walked into classes, or the friendly smile and wave heâd shoot at you when he saw you on Prefect rounds.Â
You sort of wished heâd stop being so bloody nice to you; maybe then youâd be able to get over this crush that was never going to amount to anything.
But James was taken; three times over.Â
And what a sodding group they were.
Heart Throb of Hogwarts⢠Sirius Black in his effortless style, his devil may care attitude, and his insatiable flirting. Being noticed by Sirius felt like your favourite rockstar singing a song written just for you.Â
And donât even get you started on the enigma that is Remus Lupin; the Cassanova of Gryffindor tower. Everyone in your year (and likely the years below you) had at some point or another crushed hard on the quiet Marauder; but it really couldnât be helped. He was tall, he was handsome, he was kind, and though he was far more quiet than his counterparts, the quips he shared with you never ceased to reduce you to a fit of laughter.
And gods, was Lily Evans ever beautiful. She was the total package; she was funny, outgoing, smart, and stunning. Looking at her even now with her long auburn hair as she threw her head back in laughter; so open and care free in her actions. You werenât sure if you wanted to be her or being underneath-
No.
No. That was not a nice thing to think about someone who was in a committed relationship.
You let out a sigh as you zoned back into the fact that James still had one of his hands on your elbow and was smiling curiously at you.Â
âThanks for the save! I really owe you one.â You chuckled awkwardly and nearly took out one of the Prewett twins in your haste to leave Potterâs vicinity.Â
Unfortunately, trouble seemed to be following you.
And by trouble, you meant Sirius Black.
âDamn, Hufflepuff!â He cheered as he moved a sultry gaze up and down your body appreciatively. âGive us a spin, dollface.â
You felt all the blood in your body migrate to your cheeks as you fought to keep your mouth from falling open.
Lily, the beautiful angel (or the evil temptress, depending on how you looked at it), swatted at Sirius from her perch on the arm of the chair her boyfriend was currently occupying.
âDown boy; youâre going to scare her away.â She teased with a smirk as she winked at you.Â
You felt momentarily grateful for her.
And then she spoke again.
âThen none of us will get to look at her.â
Fucking Helga, was it hot in here? They needed to open more windows; preferably one you could launch yourself out of right now, thank you very much.Â
âThatâd be such a shame, really. Sorry doll, you donât gotta spin - no one else here deserves to appreciate such a view.â
âOkay.â You squeaked and turned in search of your friends.
You know what? Fuck your friends; you were leaving with or without them.Â
They werenâtâŚ.flirting with you, were they?
Surely not.
Of course not.
What a ridiculous thing to think.
ButâŚit certainly felt like they were flirting with you.
Maybe one more glance?
Just as you were about to approach the portrait hole, you turned for one more look at the objects of your affection and your current tormentors and - yup, sure enough - Sirius, Lily, and now James were all standing there smiling at you.
They were watching you leave?!
Okay time to go, that is enough nonsense for one day.Â
You spun and collided with something tall and solid which thankfully caught your arms as you all but ricocheted off of them.
âHey there, dove. Whereâre you headed in such a hurry?â
Please for the love of gods, donât tell meâŚ
But of course, you looked up to see the face of one Remus Fucking Lupin smirking down at you.Â
âYou lot are everywhere.â You whispered in awe. The bastard only chuckled in response.
âCome on you guys! Weâre going to start a game of truth or dare!â Lily called over toâŚyou (?) and Remus.
âWell, we wouldnât want to miss that, would we?â Remus murmured lowly into your ear as he steered you towards the growing circle congregating around the various chairs and sofas littering the common room.
And listen, youâre not particularly proud that you were so placid in Remusâ man handling you.
But in your defenceâŚ
In your defence, Remus was man handling you.Â
And to your absolute horror, he plopped you down beside Lily on a large chair that was not quite large enough for two people.Â
You tried to swallow your heart back down which was attempting to escape via your mouth as you became hyper focused on the fact that Lily sodding Evans was pushed up against you none too casually and- Merlinâs tits, was she playing with your hair!?Â
You pretended to pay attention as a few rounds passed by; your friend being dared to give you a lap dance being the most brazen thing to have taken place.
Until it got to the Marauders.
Marlene dared Sirius to strip down to his boxers for a whole round which he was all but too eager to do, apparently. Meaning he got to ask the next person.
âMoony!âÂ
Remus smiled down at his lap before he looked over at one of his boyfriendâs mischievously.Â
âI dare you to kiss the prettiest girl here.â
Youâre not necessarily proud of the way your heart plummeted at that; this is what you had been telling yourself all night. They were taken.
No matter if they complimented you.
No matter if they caught you as you fell.Â
No matter if they snuggled up to you on a chair designed for one.
No matter if one of them made you feel like you leaving the party early would have been truly devastating.
No matter.
âThatâs impossible; thereâs two of them.â Remus said quickly, causing your heart to ache for Lily.
Who even says that when their girlfriend is sitting right here!?
You kept your head down as the party all oooohâed and aawwwweeeâd.
James let out a funny high pitched laugh as if he were an over excited kid on Christmas morning. âGuess youâll have to kiss them both then.âÂ
You really should have left when you had the chance; you werenât sure you could watch.
It was their business if they wanted to include another, but that didnât mean you had to like it.
âOr they can kiss each other; I think Iâd enjoy that just as much.âÂ
âSounds good to me.â Lily said as she stood; the space she once inhabited felt cold and vacant without her.
âWell? Come on then?â She said as she grabbed your arm.
âWhat?â
âCome with me.â She said again, wiggling your arm within your grasp, and who were you to deny her, really?
Like a well trained dog you followed her obediently over to where Remus sat before she all but shoved you into his lap.
âYou seem like the fidgety type; maybe Rem can help with that, hm?â She said as she shot a wink at Remus over your shoulder.
His arms wrapped possessively around your waist as he rested his chin on the junction between your neck and shoulder.
âIs it okay if she kisses you, pretty girl?â
You had no time to be absolutely horrified at the pathetic little keening sound that escaped your lips as you looked up at the red-head now towering over you.
âWhat do you say, gorgeous?â And though her emerald eyes did shine with some mischief, you could see she was earnest; this was your choice.
âOkay.â You whispered barely loud enough for you to hear yourself over the hammering of your heart.
âYeah?â She whispered as she knelt in front of you.
âYeah.â You agreed.
And you only got to see the soft, hopeful smile that adorned her lips for but a moment before her hands were on either side of your face and she was pressing her soft lips to yours.Â
It could have been hours or centuries but it was also all too soon before she was pulling away from you; a proud smile on her lips though her cheeks were a similar colour to her hair.
You became aware of the hooting and hollering going on around you as Remusâ chest began to vibrate in laughter.
âBeautiful.â He murmured - likely more to himself than to you, but you heard it all the same.
âDo I get a turn?!â James shouted before Sirius roughly grabbed him by the waist and planted him down on his lap.
âNot before me, Jamie.â He snickered as he shot you a wink.Â
The audacity of a man to still be so confident sitting in nothing but his boxers.Â
You tried to hide behind your hands though it was all for naught as Remus made a theatrical cooing sound and pulled you further into his lap until you were all but cradled in his arms.
âMaybe without an audience next time, hm?â He asked you as he brushed some hairs away from your forehead.
Not trusting yourself to speak (or to even make direct eye contact with the bloke currently cuddling you in your lap), you nodded with your face still hidden.
âWay to go babe.â James said as Lily went to join the two boys on their loveseat. âYou were so good, weâll even get a next time!â
read about their first date here!

James had pleaded for you to stay behind to study at Hogwarts during this weekâs Hogsmeade trip, claiming he couldnât pass his next exam without his pretty girlfriend by his side. You began working at Jamesâ desk before moving to his floorâŚthen to his bed.
He stared at you with pure longing as you transcribed notes from your textbook, his touch was soft against your shoulders as he kissed your skin. His attention had completely abandoned his own notes long ago, preferring to cover you in gentle kisses pressed to your back.
You couldnât pretend to focus on your textbook any longer, closing it softly before sending it to the dorm room floor. You turned to face your breathless boyfriend, silently begging you with his big brown eyes.
The make out session that followed was more passionate than any other you two had shared, James gripping at your skin as he rocked his hips into yours.
âWe can stop here if you want to,â he muttered breathlessly during a short break. The corners of your lips threatened to tilt into a flirtatious smirk as you softly pushed him backwards. Jamesâ growing desperation was obvious, the boy grinning at you while flipping your bodies over, resting on top of you and making you squeal as his lips traveled down your exposed skin.
The events that followed left you naked and panting beneath his sheets, gazing up at the ceiling in a daze as your boyfriend nuzzled into your neck with a satisfied groan and a beaming smile.
He clutched your sides protectively, sighing as he pulled back to gaze at your flustered face, grinning at the result of his handy work. He kissed up and down your jaw, pausing for a second to admire the marks left by his desperate affection.
You were still reeling from the memory of moments ago, brain fuzzy from the overwhelming pleasure. I was sure the first time was meant to be bad⌠you thought to yourself. Finally, you noticed Jamesâ lovesick gaze at your neck and collarbone, eyes wide as you realised what he was observing.
âMight have to cover these up before breakfast tomorrow, darling,â he smiled apologetically with sleep lacing his whispering voice, âI went a bit overboard, Iâm sorryâŚâ He nuzzled back into your neck with a bashful smile, drawing circles on your skin with his fingers.
âââââââ ââ ËâĄË ࣪ âââââââ
The next day was cold with the promise of impending rain, a perfect climate for inconspicuously slipping on a turtleneck under your uniform before leaving for breakfast with your roommates. You had always maintained a sense of privacy with James, reluctant to tell your friend group quite as much as they tell you about their romantic escapades.
Mary, Dorcas and Lily took their seats on one side of the Gryffindor table as you saved seats for the Marauders on the other. Breakfast was peaceful, the four of you making small talk and enjoying your food before the Great Hall doors opened to reveal the more obnoxious half of your group.
James was looking particularly confident, smiling wide with crinkled eyes and walking with a slight bounce in his step. The boys piled onto the bench next to you while James reached over your head to pluck a peach from the fruit bowl.
âMorning hot stuff,â James winked at you as he slid into the space between you and Sirius, lacing a hand along your back, around your torso and between your thighs. You glared at his cocky grin, face warming at the intimate contact. âWhat?â he whispered, feigning innocence, âmy hands are cold.â
âUh- Mary was just telling us about this muggle game,â you diverted, âwhat was it called again?â Mary lit up, returning to her rambling about a complicated board game involving houses and train stations.
âââââââ ââ ËâĄË ࣪ âââââââ
You were far gone by the time Mary caught the others up to speed, engrossed in the way James was breathing against your skin and holding you against his warm, muscular form.
He began to pull at your turtleneck ever so slightly, first at your stomach to rub soothing circles into your skin, then at your neck to peer at his masterpiece from the previous night. James pressed a soft kiss to the highest mark, causing you to shiver and stare intently at your breakfast to distract yourself.
By the time your boyfriend had removed himself from your skin, Mary had finished her explanation and all eyes were on the two of you.
Sirius furrowed his brows, gazing from James, to you, back to James, then to Remus. Remus watched your interaction curiously, eyes gliding down to where Jamesâ hand met the inside of your upper thigh, a familiar symbol of lust he knew all too well from Siriusâ own actions under the table. The girls across from you glanced at each other, then at Peter, before Dorcas completed the circle of confused looks as she stared at Sirius, who finally broke the silence.
âSo, ProngsâŚget much study done while we were out yesterday?â Jamesâ lustful grin faltered as he finally acknowledged your friendsâ presence for the first time that morning, turning away from you and towards his roommate.
âUh- yeah, yeah we did actually! Totally prepared for the exam, Minnie will be praising me,â he pulled one of his hands away from your skin to the back of his neck, scratching in an awkward display of nervousness. His other hand traveled down your leg to rest on your knee, a far more common sight for the two of you. Sirius wasnât convinced.
âUh huhâŚand whatâs that exam on again?â He smirked, looking you up and down as you gulped under his glare, âAnatomy?â
Dorcas choked on a laugh, dribbling juice in the process while the others muffled their amusement with their hands. James bit his lip, wincing at the realisation that he had been far too obvious with his intimate affection.
He turned back to you, seeing the bright red hue of your face and the embarrassed downturn of your head. He threw his arm around your middle in confident comfort. Your eyes were glued to a single berry on the edge of your plate.
âââââââ ââ ËâĄË ࣪ âââââââ
Your friends had released a long series of sounds of amusement, cheering in celebration at their recent discovery. âWith the way James talks about you, love, Iâm surprised he didnât jump you on the first date!â Sirius cackled, causing James to crack a sympathetic smile in your direction before nuzzling into your neck once again.
âI think this makes us the most experienced group in the school now that you two lovesick dogs, haveâŚyou knowâŚâ Lily trailed off, âWait, we are talking about these two losing their v-â
âObviously!â
James had fully phased out the conversation, getting intoxicated on your scent as his held you close with eyes closed in satisfaction. You were warming up to the conversation now, brushing Jamesâ mess of hair away from his mouth as you giggled at the excitement that erupted from your section of the table.
âSo,â Sirius continued, leaning over to you with an obnoxiously loud whisper, âis Prongs good in bed?â
âYes.â
âSirius,â James whined, sitting up in the process, âdonât push her- wait, what did you say?â He spun around to face you with wide eyes as you smirked back at him. You were already knee deep in this conversation, it couldnât hurt to boost your boyfriendâs ego and satisfy his recently discovered lust for praise.
âHeâs amazing, in factâŚboys, why donât you go on another secret trip to Hogsmeade tonight? Iâm sure youâve already run out of chocolate, and James could probably do with a room to himselfâŚâ you teased in the direction of the remaining Marauders before spotting Jamesâ glossy eyes and parted lips in your peripheral.
He clung tighter to your middle as Peter gazed at you with a confused frown. âBut we went yesterday, we still have a lot of-â he glanced at the others, all adorning knowing smirks. âOhhhhâŚyeah, yeah we can do that.â
James turned to Peter with a bashful smile, mouthing a thank you that made the group burst out laughing once again.
Finally remembering their breakfast, your companions returned to cleaning their plates as James continued consuming his, kissing you along your jaw and resisting the urge to line you up on the table then and there. He bit into his peach suggestively, batting his lashes at you.
âNo more PDA at the table, Jamie.â

A/N đ Hope you all enjoy this; it's been my baby for a while!
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
âI may have severely fucked up.â James sighs, his features tight with guilt as he stands before you. His chest is heaving like he has run all the way to youitâs a likely theory.
Remus glances up from beside you; the two of you had been buried in your homework in the common room when James came racing in. Heâs disappointed that James has disrupted the productive atmosphere. Thereâs no way that you or Remus will be continuing to work on your essays.
His admission doesnât surprise you; James has come to you countless times seeking assistance after making a mistake. Being best friends since you were born, youâve grown accustomed to being the one to untangle his messes.
Your parents were best friends, which meant that you and James were also raised to be. There wasnât a memory that you could recall that James wasnât in. It ended up working; to both of your mumâs excitement, you and James were inseparable. As the levelheaded one between you, you often found yourself trailing after James, tasked with picking up the pieces.
It was in the aftermath of pranks spiraling out of control, times when he impulsively voiced things he really shouldnât have, or instances when he procrastinated excessively on his work, inevitably turning to you for help with his essays. Surprisingly, itâs become almost amusing to you, a reliable routine in your friendship.
You undeniably held the title of James Potterâs best friend.
Your eyes narrow skeptically, folding your arms over your chest, âDefine severely.â
His demeanor turns sheepish as he nervously rubs the back of his neck, his gaze drifting away from you. He looks incredibly uncomfortable, âI donât think youâre going to like it.â
âYouâre not starting off strong.â You snark, an amused smile finding its way onto your lips. Remus chuckles next to you.
âY/n.â James sighs, his expression urging you to stop your teasing.
âJames.â You mimic.
He shoots you a glare, eyes narrowed in mock irritation, âLily and I were chatting, like really chatting,â He begins, sighing obnoxiously as he settles into the chair opposite you, his expression a grimace. âShe told me why she hasnât taken me seriously when I flirt with her.â
You pause, confusion etching into your features, âAnd where exactly did you severely fuck up?â
âShe thought we were a couple.â He says, his hands gesturing wildly between the two of you, his expression a mix of incredulity and amusement. âCan you believe that? You and me?â
You can believe that, actually. You and James have been mistaken for a couple more times than you can count. Even your parents were convinced the two of you would end up together. While you had told them it wasnât going to happen, you were convinced they were still holding out hope.
You furrow your brows as you watch him a tad uneasy, âOkay, and where did you severely fuck up in this?â
âI panicked, okay?â James looks guilty when he blurts this out. He nearly shouts it, and Remus hushes him. âShe said it wasnât fair for me to flirt with her because of you. She didnât want your feelings to be hurt and wouldnât listen when I said we were just friends. And I panicked.â
âMate, get to the bloody point.â Remus huffs out, tired of James dragging out the story. Nothing bothered Remus more than when James or Sirius took an eternity to get to the point of their story.
âI told her youâre dating Sirius.â James grimaces, shifting nervously.
âWhat?â You hiss, your palms smacking onto the table, causing James to flinch, âHave you taken too many hits to the head? James, we are not dating!â
James protests, panicking, âBut Lily doesnât know that! If you two could just pretend-â
âNo, absolutely not! That is going too far.â You snap, sending James a frustrated look, while Remus is chuckling to himself next to you.
âY/n, please. This could be it! My chance with Lily!â James pleads. Heâs desperate to try and salvage the plan he had put all his hopes on.
âStarting your new relationship with a lie, are we?â You snap, massaging at your temples. Most of the stress is from spending too many hours studying, but James is undoubtedly making it worse.
James shrugs, a mischievous smirk starting to form, âWell, not really. You and Sirius already flirt a lot. Itâs not that far off from the truth.â
James was well aware of your feelings for Sirius; he had watched how you nervously stumbled over your words the first day you met Sirius. He had never seen you like that before, eyes lit up with inflation at first glance.
While he occasionally teased you about it, he understood that what you felt for Sirius was deeper than just a crush. Though you would never admit it out loud.
Your frustration grows, âIt absolutely is far off from the truth. Lily probably didnât even believe you! Thereâs no evidence for her to believe the idea that we are together.â You cry, disbelief evident in your voice. Jamesâs casual attitude only adds to your frustration. He doesnât seem bothered in the slightest.
Remus interjects, an amused scoff escaping him, âThereâs evidence to believe it.â
âAre you joking?â You deadpan, your voice full of incredulity. Remus sends you a teasing smirk. He considers how Sirius flirts with you more than anyone else, but he doesnât want to deal with Sirius furious at him.
Ever since you met Sirius, you have had a crush on him. Realistically, you knew it was pointless; Sirius had a fan club of admirers. So, you counted yourself lucky that you were one of his closest friends. Being his friend was manageable, and quite honestly, kept your expectations in check.
But Sirius acting like he had feelings for you? You wouldnât handle that well.
James interjects, âLily believed it. She even said she wasnât surprised.â
âBut she thought you and I were together?â You ask, sarcasm dripping from every word.
Your tone was snippier than you intended, but you could feel the stress building. The mere thought of pretending to be with Sirius made you feel nauseous.
âShe mightâve just been jealous, wanting to know if you had feelings for James before she finally goes for him.â Remus says casually, and Jamesâ eyes light up in excitement.
James is positively giddy as he leans forward, âYou think she was jealous?â
âDoes Sirius even know?â You interrupt, catching Jamesâs eye. He glances at Remus, clearly hoping to hear more about Lilyâs supposed jealousy.
James shakes his head, and you scoff, opening your mouth to enlighten James on why you think this is a bad idea. Before you can say anything, Remus cuts you off, âHereâs your chance to tell him.â
You glance up to see Sirius walking through the library, and you resist letting out a lovesick sigh at how effortlessly handsome he is.
Your stomach plummets at the sight of a stunning girl effortlessly chatting with him. His laughter rings out, causing unease to settle in your stomach.
If he was close enough, you probably wouldâve tried to eavesdrop.
Despite not knowing her name, you know sheâs a Gryffindor; youâve seen her in the common room. James nudges you, and when you glance at him, he sends you a knowing look.
âGlad to see you guys are having study dates without Peter and me.â Sirius calls, settling into the seat next to James and patting him on the shoulder in greeting.
Relief washes over you as you notice that the girl who was with him a second ago is long gone. He glances over at you, and pauses in surprise at your disgruntled expression, âYou okay?â
Remus chuckles at the question, finding the harsh look you shoot James hilarious. Itâs clear that heâs finding this entire situation entertaining.
âAsk James about what he told Lily.â You say, voice strained with irritation. James sends Sirius a nervous smile, and Sirius looks at him oddly.
âWhatâd you do?â
Sirius asks, his eyes darting back to you, taking note of your frustrated expression. Your stomach tightens with nerves, scared of Siriusâ reaction. Remus leans back in his chair, excited to see how this will all play out.
âLily and I were talking today,â James sighs, âand she wouldnât stop going on about how she thinks Y/n is in love with me and that itâs not fair for me to flirt with her because I could be hurting her.â
âShe thinks Iâm in love with you?â You shriek, oblivious to the barely visible flinch on Siriusâ face at Jamesâ words. Remus catches it, his grin getting bigger.
James ignores you, âAnyways, I said that itâs not a problem because you and Y/n are dating.â James finishes cautiously, his gaze locked on Sirius, curious for his reaction. Your breath is caught in your throat, your eyes fixed intently on Sirius, awaiting his reaction as well.
âYou told Lily that Y/nâs my girl?â Sirius inquires casually, causing your stomach to somersault at his words. You force yourself to focus on James instead of the warmth creeping into your skin.
âI panicked, and thatâs what came out. So, if you guys could pretend youâre madly in love, that would be great!â James claps his hands together, and you feel the urge to wack him. Youâre prepared to snap at him, to explain why asking this of you both isnât right.
But then Sirius shrugs, âSure, shouldnât be too hard, right, sweet girl?â He says, and your legs feel like jelly.
Youâre floundering, not having expected Sirius to agree. Heâs never maintained a steady relationship, so pretending that heâs dating you is a big ask. His agreement sends your mind spiraling with different scenarios. For a brief second, you wonder if he agrees so easily because he has feelings for you. But you quickly shut down that thought.
Youâre delusional. You truly are.
âSure, that shouldnât be too bad.â You agree, hoping you appear casual about this.
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
âI need you two to amp it up. Lily is eating breakfast with us today.â James directs, causing you to glance up from your breakfast, disbelief etched into your features. He takes a bite of bacon and casually observes you as though his request is perfectly normal.
âWeâve switched spots, is that not enough for you?â You ask sarcastically, and Remus shakes his head, wearing an entertained smile as he continues eating breakfast. He can tell youâre panicking about pretending to be with Sirius; itâs painfully obvious to everyone at the table.
Youâre usually seated between James and Peter, but when you attempted to slide into the seat this morning, James slammed his hand down on the seat and instructed you to sit next to your boyfriend, wearing a smug smile. Peter snorted softly but quickly replaced it with a sympathetic smile, silently apologizing for his reaction.
âI mean, we all know Sirius is into PDA, and you look terrified to even be sitting next to him.â Peter points out, and you find yourself scrabbling.
Were you two supposed to be super affectionate? Would Sirius find it weird if you initiated it? Questions are flooding your mind leaving you feeling overwhelmed.
âI am not terrified. I just donât know how to act.â You insist.
âAct like youâre in love with him; it shouldnât be too hard, right?â James quips, earning a glare from you. He responds with a playful wink.
âThe boys are right. You need to sit closer to me.â Sirius declares as his arm slips around your waist, pulling you closer to him. You squeak his name in surprise, flustered at how easily he moves you. The boys chuckle at your bewildered expression, finding your embarrassment hilarious.
You feel disappointed when he releases you. Even more so when he doesnât pull you flush against him. Instead, your shoulder to shoulder, the distance between you both feeling more pronounced than ever.
âIâm still waiting on the PDA.â Remus says with a playful smirk; his eyes are full of mischief when you glance at him.
You elbow Remus in the side, and he playfully nudges you back, causing you to bump into Siriusâ side. Sirius surprises you by wrapping his arm around you, keeping you against him while playfully calling out, âOi, back off, mate.â Being pressed against his side causes warmth to spread through you as you lean further into him.
James watches as Siriusâs cheeks flush, a soft smile on his face as he gazes down at you. You appear flustered but content, being so close to him, and James canât help but grin at the two of you.
âWeâre not going to be all over each other.â You say, attempting to distract yourself from the fact that youâre pushed up against Sirius.
âWhy not?â James leans forward with a grin, clearly finding everything about this entertaining. âThat is what most couples do. Plus, Sirius openly flirts with everyone. But he wonât kiss his own girlfriend? Itâs not believable.â
âMerlin, we should have talked about this last night.â You mumble under your breath, and Sirius chuckles beside you. Heâs entirely at ease. It doesnât seem like he has any worries about pretending to be your boyfriend. With that observation, you try not to let your worries spiral out of control.
âListen, we can do whatever youâre comfortable with. If you donât want to kiss, then we donât have to,â Sirius tells you gently, âbut it would be sort of odd for us not to be somewhat affectionate.â
The last thing he wants to do is make you feel uncomfortable. But thereâs a rush of exhilaration at the thought of holding you close and calling you pet names that were once off-limits. And the thought of possibly kissing you?
Surviving that would be inconceivable for him.
âYouâre right,â You nod. âLetâs just start off slow. It will be weird if weâre all over each other today when we didnât even sit together yesterday.â
âYeah, yeah! Flirt, be a little touchy, throw some cute pet names in here, will you, Sirius?â James calls out with great enthusiasm. You send him a look that you hope he understands as shut the fuck up. He doesnât acknowledge your discomfort. Instead, he makes a heart shape with his hands, which adds to your annoyance.
Sirius presses a quick kiss to your temple, âFuck off, mate. I know how to flirt with my girlfriend, right baby?â You freeze, your eyes widening in disbelief, while the boys laugh at your reaction. How exactly were you supposed to survive this?
You fall into a comfortable silence, happy to enjoy your breakfast as James issues his warnings to the boys, ensuring they behave themselves. Remus, with a subtle eye roll, acknowledges Jamesâs words while Peter nods emphatically in agreement. While, Sirius simply outlines every embarrassing memory he plans to share with Lily.
âY/n, get your man in check.â James complains in mock irritation, throwing a grape at Sirius, who dodges it.
âGood morning.â Lily greets quietly. You all turn to see her approaching, her expression a mix of embarrassment and hesitance, as if sheâs debating whether to turn around and go to her usual spot down the table.
James abruptly stands up, his hip thumping into the table. He stifles a wince, trying to maintain his composure as he greets Lily, who tries unsuccessfully to suppress a smile at his reaction. Remus cringes and turns back to his breakfast, unable to look at James.
âYâready for this?â Sirius leans in, his voice lowered to a hushed tone meant only for you, effectively pulling you away from eavesdropping on James and Lilyâs conversation. You glance up at him, surprised to find youâre a mere inches away from him.
Youâre so close that you could individually count each of his eyelashes if you wanted.
You still feel the warmth of his breath mingling with yours, creating an intimate connection between the both of you.
It feels like a magnetic pull draws you closer, tempting you to tilt your head forward and touch his lips with yours. The urge to kiss him is so strong that it nearly knocks the breath from your lungs.
You clear your throat, attempting to push the thought from your mind. âI think so. Weâre newly dating, so donât go overboard with it.â You remind him, a gentle smile playing on your lips.
âWhen have I ever gone overboard with anything in my life?â The smile he gives you is teasing, and it makes your heart pound to have him this close, his eyes sparkling as he smiles at you.
You hum softly in response, âI can think of quite a few times.â
His voice carries a flirtatious tone, âCan you?â
âGood morning, Lily.â Peterâs gentle voice steals your attention away from Sirius. Disappointment and longing settle in his stomach as he watches you pull away and turn to greet Lily, that sweet smile now directed at her.
Lily settles between Peter and James. For a quick second, you feel a pang of jealousy because thatâs your spot. But when you notice Jamesâs pink cheeks and flustered expression, you forget all about it. All you want for James is for him to be happy, and having Lily near seems to do just that.
Breakfast goes smoothly. Lily fits seamlessly into your group, and you can tell it makes James giddy. He doesnât even mind not getting to talk to Lily much. He simply enjoys seeing the girl heâs so hopelessly infatuated with getting along so well with his best friends.
You and Sirius arenât acting much differently than you normally do, just sitting close to each other and chatting. However, when Lily turns to you and Sirius, a wave of nervousness washes over you.
âI was so excited to hear you guys were together!â
âOh yeah? So you can finally go for James with a clear conscience?â Sirius grins, teasing Lily, who looks thoroughly embarrassed. You nudge Sirius in the side, and he responds by giving your hip a gentle squeeze. James sends Sirius an incredulous look, which he pointedly ignores. While Remus and Peter chuckle at the playful banter.
Lily tucks a lock of hair behind her ear and clears her throat; her cheeks tinged with a hint of pink. âUh, no, just that you two have obviously had feelings for each other for years. Everyone knew.â
Youâre at a loss for words. Is that really what people thought? Clearly, they read you right, but you werenât sure what to think about Sirius having feelings for you. Maybe he did, or maybe they were mistaking it for how he constantly flirted with you. But that was just how Sirius was; it didnât necessarily mean he had romantic feelings for you.
âHavenât gotten her out of my head since the day I met her.â Sirius says casually, his right elbow resting on the table as he pops a piece of bacon into his mouth. His other arm remains securely wrapped around your waist, holding you close to his side with a gentle yet firm embrace.
You look at him in shock, your eyes widening at his unexpected confession. Even the boys look slightly startled at Siriusâ words, their eyes darting between you and him.
âThatâs so sweet.â Lily says softly, her eyes glowing with genuine happiness as she sends you a warm smile. The sight tugs at your heartstrings but also stirs up guilt in the pit of your stomach. Lying always made you feel uneasy like a weight was pressing down on your chest.
âSirius, I canât believe you thought that sheââLily begins, her voice trailing off as James interjects, his interruption tinged with a hint of urgency.
âOkay, love! I think I should walk you to class, donât yâthink?â James stands up from the table, extending his hand towards Lily.
Lily looks slightly confused, but she takes his hand nonetheless. As they walk away, James glances back and sends a wink in Siriusâ direction. Your attention immediately shifts to Sirius, curiosity written all over your face as youâre about to ask about Lilyâs interrupted comment.
Sirius cuts you off before you can ask, shaking his head with a gentle smile and flushed cheeks, âDonât even bother asking; Iâm not telling you what she was talking about.â
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
Youâre curled up next to Peter on the common room couch, both of you chatting quietly together. For the last twenty minutes, he has been feeding you details about the Ravenclaw girl he has a crush on. Heâs sworn you to secrecy. Hoping for your advice on asking her out without enduring the teasing of the rest of the Marauders. Your gasp of excitement nearly gives away the secret, but you quickly compose yourself, offering a reassuring smile to Peter.
âWho is she?â You ask, excitement laced in your voice, but Peter sends you an apprehensive look.
âIâm going to keep that to myself. Your squeal almost let the boys know..â He teases, though his tone also carries a note of seriousness.
A laugh escapes you, âI promise when youâre ready to tell me Iâll be so careful about keeping it a secret.â
âOi! Are you two sharing secrets over there?â James calls out, his voice immensely curious. Heâs sat with his back to the flickering flames, his palms flat against the floor as he leans back on them. Peter tenses beside you, but you maintain an easy smile. Remus and Sirius are lounging in the armchairs nearby, their attention piqued by the exchange.
âAll my deepest darkest secrets.â You tease, flashing James a grin. He furrows his brow and sits up, clearly riled up by your response.
âY/n, as your best friend, I better know all these secrets.â James lips are pouted, his expression tinged with a hint of concern, as if heâs genuinely worried that you and Peter are sharing secrets that he doesnât know.
James has always been fiercely protective of your friendship. Despite being close to the boys, your bond with James was stronger. There was nothing that the two of you didnât confide in each other; he honestly did know all your secrets.
âYou do.â You smile reassuringly, and Jamesâs expression breaks into a satisfied grin.
The boys continue their soft conversation by the crackling fire, the warm glow casting flickering shadows across the room, while you and Peter sit in comfortable silence. Both of you are lost in thought as you relax in the cozy atmosphere.
After stifling a good five yawns, you glance at the time and decide itâs probably best to head to your room, the quiet of the common room signaling just how late it had gotten.
You inch closer to Peter, before finding the courage to lean over and envelop him in a friendly hug, your arms wrapping around his shoulders.
Heâs momentarily taken aback, his body tenses at your touch, but soon he relaxes, reciprocating by wrapping you in his arms. Itâs a gesture that feels somewhat out of character for you, but after he trusted you with his secret, it seems like the most natural thing to do, a silent affirmation of support for him.
âI think Iâm going to go to bed.â You tell him softly, âBut I promise weâll talk more tomorrow.â
âIâd like that.â He smiles at you as you pull away. You grab your bag and make your way in the direction of the stairs.
âGoodnight boys!â You call out softly over your shoulder before disappearing up the stairs. Sirius watches you go, his gaze lingering on your figure, his thoughts full of you long after youâve left the room.
Ever since you moved to hug Peter, his eyes have been on you, curiosity and jealousy settling in his stomach.
âWhy the hell did you get a hug?â Sirius asks, his tone laced with bitterness as his gaze shifts to Peter, who appears taken aback by Siriusâ sudden question. Remus and James exchange amused glances, before they refocus their attention on Peter, waiting expectantly for an explanation to ease the tension.
âI donât know, she just hugged me.â Peter squirms uncomfortably in his seat, his confidence quickly dwindling as heâs put on the spot.
Sirius nods slowly, his lips pursing in contemplation. His carefully measured tone betrays the longing and a hint of possessiveness that he struggles to conceal, âWhat were you guys talking about over there?â
Remus interjects with a teasing tone, âCareful, Pads. You sound jealous.â A playful glint dances in his eyes as he notices Siriusâ furrowed brows and the discontent on his face.
âHeâs got the boyfriend role down.â James quips, and Sirius sends them both a glare.
âIâm not jealous,â Sirius repeats quite grumpily. âI just donât understand why Peter got a hug, and we didnât.â
James barks out a laugh while Remus shakes his head, a chuckle escaping him in sheer disbelief.
âYouâre jealous because you have feelings for her.â James states matter-of-factly.
Sirius begins to shake his head in denial, but Remus promptly interjects, his voice firm and unwavering, ââ Havenât gotten her out of my head since the day I met her.â What the fuck was that then?â Remus repeats Siriusâ words from the other day, perfectly mimicking his tone.
James bursts into laughter, the sound hearty and infectious, while Peter offers a small smile, observing Sirius as he struggles to respond.
âNot to mention, youâve been staring Peter down ever since Y/n touched him.â Remus remarks while Sirius gazes blankly at him, his expression unreadable as he nervously chews on his bottom lip.
âYou really have.â Peter adds with a grimace.
âYou like her, mate.â Remus concludes, his words carrying a sense of finality that lingers in the air.
Sirius sighs heavily.
The conversation weighs heavily on him as he sinks down in the armchair, his brow furrowed in deep thought. The boysâ words replay in his mind. He was jealous, and he did like you. He already knew all of this. But he had always been cautious around you, mindful of the unspoken boundaries because of your friendship with James. A nagging worry in the back of his mind that James would be against any relationship between the two of you. James was his greatest friend, and he worried he could lose him if he attempted to go for you. The idea of James being unfazed by a romantic relationship between you and Sirius threw him off balance. It vastly differed from the scenarios he had envisioned, where James would react with fierce anger upon learning of Siriusâ affection for you. The realization left Sirius feeling torn. Did that mean he could actually go for you?

As the air is warm and balmy, birdsong emanating from the trees while the leaves rustle in the gentle breeze. The sun casts everything in a golden haze, letting you know summer is near. The boys are certain of their decision: today is the perfect day to spend at the lake.
Laughter and chatter echo across the shimmering waters as the boys swim around the lake, reaching where youâre draped over a soft towel next to Lily. You have been trading gossip back and forth for the last couple of hours. Itâs refreshing since usually youâre glued to the boysâ sides. You were constantly in the company of at least one of the four.
You feel a twinge of regret in your chest, realizing you havenât made an effort to have a close friendship with the girls. And you really should have. It wasnât a deliberate choice; James had always been your go-to person. Then, when you met the boys, you naturally formed close bonds with them, too. The thought of branching out and making more friends never really crossed your mind.
Though you value your friendships with the boys, you decide you desperately need to spend more time with the girls. The possibility of James and Lily getting together has you hopeful.
âYou realize Sirius canât take his eyes off you, right?â You choose to remain silent, only giving a shrug, fully aware that Sirius is merely pretending to be in love with you. To his credit, heâs played the part convincingly throughout the entire week. There have been moments when youâve found yourself questioning the authenticity of his actions, wondering whether his affection is genuine or merely his acting skills.
For someone who hasnât had much practice with relationships, he possessed an innate ability to treat you like you were the only girl in his world. Whether it was a reassuring hand on your lower back as you maneuvered through the crowded halls, a tender kiss planted on your forehead when you parted ways, or the subtle exchange of flirty smiles whenever your eyes met across the room.
Siriusâ laughter drifts over from the lake, reaching your ears, and a subconscious smile graces your lips. Lily must have seen your reaction, âMerlin, you really like him, donât you?â
It was driving you to the brink of obsession. If this was the experience of being Siriusâ girl, you wanted it more than before.
Despite your efforts to contain it, a sigh slips from your lips, âYeah, I really do.â
Confessing this feels uncomfortable. Youâve never talked to anyone about the depth of your feelings for Sirius, and now youâre doing so under the guise of a fake relationship. You had come close to telling James, but you really didnât need to. He had an uncanny ability to read you like an open book. Guilt churns in your stomach once more as you think about lying to Lily. What will her reaction be when you reveal that you and Sirius were never actually together?
The silence lingers for a few moments before you gently break it, âWhat were you about to say at breakfast the other day? Before James interrupted?â
Lilyâs expression shifts from confusion to excitement, her eyes lighting up, âOh, in Charms! I finally wrangled it out of Sirius that he had feelings for you. But he insisted that nothing was ever going to happen because you didnât like him back.â
It feels like youâve been plunged into a tub of cold water. Your mind goes momentarily blank, a surge of disbelief flooding your senses as you struggle to comprehend Lilyâs words. Your body freezes in place, grappling with what this could possibly mean. Thereâs no possible way you heard her correctly.
âWhat? When was this?â Your voice escapes breathless and startled, yet Lily appears oblivious to it.
âJust a couple of weeks ago! Iâm so glad he finally told you how he felt.â Lily smiles sweetly before laying back on her towel. If she notices youâre in a state of shock, she doesnât say anything.
You hear a whistle, and no surprise, your best friend throws himself between you and Lily, âDonât you two look pretty!â
Lily gasps as James leans down, playfully pressing his lips against her cheek, his hair dripping water onto her. Though she protests, you both can tell she doesnât truly mind it.
As James and Lily become wrapped up in their own world, you find yourself drifting back to the conversation from a moment ago. Your mind spins, still muddled by Lilyâs words. Sirius had feelings for you. Why hadnât he spoken up? Did he not want anything to come of it?
Your heart nearly stops when Sirius drops down and hovers over you, his hands propping him up on either side of your head. You barely register that heâs shirtless and above you just before icy water cascades from his hair onto your skin. A startled cry escapes you as the cold droplets trickle down your cheeks, tracing a chilling path along your neck and chest.
âSirius Black!â You had intended to sound angry, but laughter slips past your lips, betraying your emotions. Sirius grins at your reaction, his eyes trailing down from your eyes to shamelessly check out the bikini top you have on.
The boys had been teasing him relentlessly after witnessing how he practically fell to his knees when you walked into the common room wearing a bikini top and tiny denim shorts. You were oblivious to his gaze, heading straight for Lily and conversing about who knows what.
He couldnât tear his eyes away from you all day.
He feigns ignorance as you whine at him, responding with a sweet smile instead, âWhat?â
âGet off!â You squeal, though your tone lacks any real irritation. Deep down, youâre secretly enjoying having him so close, enveloping you in his presence.
âWhatever you want, sweet girl.â He mutters as he rolls off of you, repositioning himself so heâs sitting behind you. With a gentle tap on your shoulder, he prompts you to sit up, then guides you until your back hits his chest. Once youâre settled, he loosely wraps his arms around your shoulders before placing a kiss on your head.
Remus catches your eye as he and Peter make their way to their towels. Unlike Sirius and James, they hadnât hurried over to you and Lily. Instead, they took their time, chatting lazily while the sun warmed their skin. Remus sends you a sly, suggestive glance, and you respond by narrowing your eyes at him playfully.
Sirius and Remus engage in their own conversation, their voices blending into the background as Peter gestures for you to follow him. Sirius protests lightly, his eyes following you as you pull away from him to walk down to the lake with Peter.
Youâre gone for no more than twenty minutes, offering Peter advice on establishing a friendship with the girl he likes, perhaps making it easier for him to ask her out in the future.
Despite Remusâ attempts to draw him back into the conversation, Sirius remains preoccupied, his gaze fixed on you until you eventually return and settle onto the towel beside him, seeking the familiar comfort of his presence. Only then does Sirius relax, draping his arm around you protectively.
He despises the twinge of jealousy that creeps in every time Peter has you to himself.
âMate, youâre fucked.â Remus chuckles, and you assume itâs due to something amusing said during their conversation. Sirius simply rolls his eyes and playfully extends his middle finger in Remusâ direction, a gesture of mock annoyance that elicits a smirk from both of them.
The rest of the afternoon is spent wrapped up in Sirius as you chat with your friends and bask in the sun.
You spend the remainder of the afternoon draped over Sirius, basking in the warmth of the sun as you chat with your friends. Itâs been a while since youâve felt so at ease.
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
After lounging by the lake all afternoon, the thought of cleaning up for a party you had little interest in attending felt like an unnecessary chore. However, after an hour of Jamesâ persistent pleading, you eventually gave in and agreed to go. You were confused about why he insisted on your presence, especially when heâd be busy spending the evening with Lily. You couldnât help but think you could have been snug in bed with a good book instead.
âHow long do you think it will take before they get together?â You turn to Remus, who is leaning against the wall next to you. He wasnât thrilled about coming tonight, either. The full moon was approaching, and he could already feel the effects beginning to take hold.
You scan the bustling room, eager to catch a glimpse of James and determine Lilyâs proximity. Impatience simmers within you as you wait for them to get together. Their relationship seems overdue, and youâre desperate for it to happen, bringing an end to the relationship you and Sirius are forced to maintain. Though being Siriusâ girlfriend has its perks, the artificiality of the situation weighs on your conscience.
After a lazy afternoon enveloped in Siriusâ arms, you had returned to your room feeling unsettled. The comfort of being held by Sirius felt genuine, yet it was all fake, and that realization deeply unsettles you. The longer this relationship goes on, the more you worry about your heart being left in pieces at the end.
âProbably any day now. Why? You arenât having fun being Siriusâ girl?â Remus asks, casting a knowing smirk in your direction. You huff and give him a playful nudge, causing his drink to slosh around in his cup. He chuckles in response, amused by your reaction.
âItâs not that, and you know it.â You respond, frustration evident in your tone.
Remus turns towards you, a genuine smile on his face this time, âYou guys are doing quite the job of looking infatuated with each other.â
You shoot him a warning look, sensing where the conversation is headed.
But Remus persists, his gaze steady, âYou should consider telling him how you feel.â
You scoff. âAbsolutely not.â
âWhy not? What have you got to lose?â
You meet his gaze, incredulous, âOur friendship, for starters.â
Remus shakes his head, âDo you really think Sirius would end your friendship? I doubt you could get rid of him if you tried.â
You meet Remusâs gaze, your brow furrowed with uncertainty, âOkay, maybe he wouldnât end our friendship. But things would definitely get awkward, and who knows where it could lead.â
Remus offers a small smile, âOr it could go well. You could end up together.â
You remain silent, the weight of Remusâs words sinking in as you contemplate the idea of confessing your feelings to Sirius. Your stomach churns with anxiety at the mere thought of opening up to him. The fear of rejection and the potential fallout from confessing weighs heavy on your chest.
But Lily had shared with you that Sirius had opened up about his feelings for you. Maybe there was a possibility that confessing your own feelings might not be as far-fetched as you had assumed. Maybe being with Sirius wasnât entirely out of reach.
Remus observes the slight furrow in your brow as you chew on your bottom lip, a clear indication of your spiraling thoughts. The dim light of the common room highlights the unease on your face. âDo you want a drink?â He offers, his voice gentle and reassuring.
You pause, considering his offer, grateful for the distraction, âYes, please.â You respond with a small smile, the tension in your shoulders easing slightly.
As Remus leaves to fetch you a drink, youâre left alone with your thoughts, the chatter and laughter of the crowded common room serving as a backdrop to your contemplation. Your eyes wander over the sea of bodies, each occupied with their own conversations and activities, creating a lively yet chaotic atmosphere.
âY/n, hi!â You startle as Max Townsend stands beside you, his sudden presence catching you off guard. You recall being partners in Charms a couple of weeks ago, but beyond that, your interactions had been limited.
âHey, Max.â You greet with a soft smile, noticing how his shoulders relax slightly at your acknowledgment. He settles against the wall, his posture casual yet attentive, as if genuinely interested in chatting with you.
âI know we havenât talked much since Charms, but Iâve been meaning to catch up with you.â Max says, his voice earnest as he breaks the silence between you.
Youâre surprised by his remark, âYou have?â You ask, genuine curiosity coloring your tone.
âYeah! I enjoyed spending time with you.â Max admits, his voice slightly shaky as he offers you a shy smile. You notice the faint blush coloring his cheeks, a sign of nervousness.
âI enjoyed spending time with you too! I donât think I could have passed the last exam without your help.â You respond sincerely, returning his smile with warmth. His face lights up at your words, visibly relieved.
He regains some confidence and continues, âActually, Y/n, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade sometime?â
Your smile falters, and you feel a pang of guilt. You have the excuse of having a boyfriend, at least. It makes things a little easier for you. For a second, you debate if you should say yes, go on a date, and move past your feelings for Sirius. But then you think about Lilyâs words and how he might possibly like you back. Not only that but youâre supposed to be in a relationship right now.
You canât bring yourself to say yes; truth be told, you donât really want to, anyway.
âThatâs really sweet of you to ask. But Iâm dating Sirius.â You reply though the words feel heavy on your tongue, wishing they were true.
Max looks taken aback, âSirius Black?â
âYes.â You confirm, feeling a wave of discomfort wash over you; turning someone down is always an awkward and uncomfortable experience.
Max shakes his head, looking confused, âI didnât know Sirius-â
âYou didnât know what, Townsend?â Sirius looks hard at him, slipping his arm around your waist and handing you a drink. âHere, baby, Rem said you wanted a drink.â
You thank him quietly, settling into his side with ease. Glancing up at him, you notice Sirius isnât looking at you; his gaze is fixed on Max. His jaw clenches tightly, and his usual friendly smile is absent. The message to Max is clear: back off, sheâs mine.
Max looks uneasy, eyes darting from you to Sirius, âUh, I didnât know you and Y/n were together.â
âAnd why were you talking about that?â
âUh,â Max looks at you briefly, his expression tinged with panic. He lets out a sigh, reminiscent of a child caught in the act and resigned to confessing. âI asked her out.â
Siriusâ entire body tenses, his tone laced with mock curiosity, âDid you?â
He feels sick at the thought of you going on a date with another guy. Images flash through his mind â Max holding your hand on a walk through Hogsmeade, flirting with you over dinner, and the possibility of him kissing you goodnight before you head back through the portrait at the end of the night.
A surge of intense emotion floods him, an overwhelming desire to lash out, to throw a punch and convey the unmistakable message that you are off-limits.
But then the reality hits him: youâre not off limits. Youâre perfectly single, and maybe you actually wanted to go out with Max. The realization sinks in, gnawing at him from the inside, intensifying the ache in his chest.
âBut look, man, I didnât know she was your girl! Honest.â
âMax, itâs okay. Really.â You interject gently, offering him a reassuring smile. Max nods frantically, clearly relieved, before hurrying off in the opposite direction and disappearing into the crowd of Gryffindors.
âWhat the hell was that?â You turn to Sirius, but he refuses to meet your gaze. Instead, he drops his arm from your waist and leans back against the wall, taking a long sip from his drink, his expression unreadable.
âPlaying the part of your boyfriend. You should go find James, he was looking for you.â His mutterings reach your ears, and your stomach clenches with irritation as hurt flashes over your features. Heâs never shut down before you, and it hurts your feelings deeply.
You donât bother saying anything; instead, you scoff and walk away. Siriusâs eyes follow you the second you leave, watching as you walk away with a heavy feeling settling in his stomach.
Maybe he did need to express his feelings to you. There might be a chance that you felt the same way. And if you didnât, at least he would know and could attempt to move on from you.
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
âI think you need to check on Sirius.â James murmurs into your ear as you stand in the common room, waiting for Lily to join you. Youâre flanked by the boys, but Sirius is conspicuously absent.
You glance over at him, confused, âWhy? Is he not coming down?â
âHe bailed, said he isnât feeling good.â
âHe isnât coming to Hogsmeade with us?â You all had meticulously planned your trip to Hogsmeade during the lake outing yesterday, discussing the shops you wanted to visit and the Butterbeer you couldnât wait to taste.
âOh,â You mutter, âIâll check on him and catch up with you guys then.â
You still harbor concern for his well-being, a lingering sense of care that remains despite the the frustration you feel about last night. You ascend the stairs, faintly catching Peterâs inquiry about your destination and Jamesâ response that you wonât be joining them anymore. You contemplate turning around, half-tempted to inquire with James about his statement, but decided against it, choosing not to waste your energy.
Youâre so deeply immersed in your thoughts as you walk through the hall that you donât even notice the sound at first.
The muffled noise filtering through the boysâdorm door catches your attention, causing you to pause in front of the door. You briefly entertain the idea that Sirius might be genuinely unwell, but skepticism lingers in your mind. The persistent groans donât quite fit the pattern of someone whoâs just sick.
You were on the verge of turning around, genuinely considering it, until you caught a muffled moan that distinctly sounded like your name.
You pause, questioning the authenticity of what you just heard, wondering if it was a figment of your imagination or if you truly heard your name. But then you hear it, âFuck, Y/n. Feels so good.â
Your legs turn to jelly, the words coursing through your veins like an electric shock, leaving you feeling stunned and breathless.
Without a second thought or even a plan forming in your mind, you find yourself knocking on the door. Inside, you hear a muffled curse followed by shuffling before Sirius swings the door open nearly a minute later, clad only in pajama pants. His hair is tousled, his cheeks flushed, and heâs breathing heavily. The surprise on his face is evident as he takes in your unexpected presence.
âWhat were you just doing?â Your words spill out more confrontationally than you intended, catching Sirius off guard. The surprise flickers across his face, evident in how his eyebrows knit together and his eyes widen slightly.
âUh, I-â He glances back into his room, searching for a believable excuse among his belongings. Flustered, he struggles to come up with a convincing lie.
âSirius,â You press, and his eyes flicker back to you. He appears guilty, aware that youâve caught on. âI just heard you.âYou add, your tone that is firm but not accusatory.
âMerlin, Y/n. Iâm sorry I-â He stammers, his heart sinking into the pit of his stomach at the mere thought of you possibly feeling disgusted with him or worse, refusing to remain his friend because of what heâs just done.
âWhat were you thinking about?â You ask instead, taking a deliberate step closer to him. The room feels charged with tension, and you can sense Siriusâs unease. His breath hitches as your presence draws nearer, his eyes flickering with a mix of apprehension and anticipation.
He glances over your shoulder, his gaze flicking to the empty hallway outside before he answers, âYou.â
âMe?â You take a tentative step closer, your voice barely a whisper compared to before, its tone huskier, laden with curiosity and perhaps a hint of intrigue. You fix him with a daring look, a glint of challenge in your eye, as if silently daring him to take action.
He remains silent, his gaze fixed on you for a fleeting moment before he takes action, grabbing your hand and pulling you into the dorm without a word.
As soon as the door shuts, he presses you against the door, his movements swift and urgent. You let out a gasp in surprise, feeling the sudden shift in atmosphere as Siriusâs intensity envelops you. His eyes, usually filled with mischief, now bore into yours with a mixture of seriousness and vulnerability.
âY/n. Why did you knock on the door?â
You donât answer at first, your eyes locked with his for a few heartbeats before you let out a sigh, âBecause I heard you say my name, and now I know you want me the same way that Iâve always wanted you.â
Sirius doesnât hesitate, his lips meeting yours with a sense of urgency that sends a shiver down your spine. The moment his touch connects with yours, you exhale softly, feeling the warmth of his lips against yours. With gentle pressure, you draw him closer, your arms wrapping around his shoulders while Siriusâ embrace envelops you, pulling you closer as if he never wants to let go.
He initiates with a tender kiss on your lips, then gently nibbles on your bottom lip, eliciting a gasp. Seizing the opportunity of your parted lips, he intensifies the kiss, pressing forcefully into your mouth. Sirius kisses you as if each moment is the first and last time, molding you into pliancy. You willingly surrender, allowing him to kiss you into a state of blissful oblivion.
As he withdraws, a soft whimper escapes your lips in protest. He casts a questioning glance your way as he lifts the hem of your shirt, and you respond with a nod of affirmation. Slowly, he peels it off of you and lets it drop at your feet. Shamelessly, he admires your breasts and how they sit so pretty in your black bra. For a moment, the thought of apologizing for the simple garment crosses your mind, but the way his gaze lingers on you halts any inclination to do so.
He leans down, pressing kisses and nipping at the exposed skin on your neck and trailing his way down to your chest. It steals your breath away, prompting you to weave your fingers through his hair as you tilt your head back, reveling in the sensation. Heâs murmuring praises against your skin, ranting about how beautiful you are, how sweet your moans are, and how you drive him crazy. Your heart pounds within your chest, and for an instant, you fear its thunderous rhythm might betray you, considering how near he stands.
âTake it off.â In a hushed tone, you speak, prompting Siriusâs gaze to swiftly rise and lock with yours.
He encircles you with his arms, quickly undoing your bra, and you deftly push the straps down, allowing the garment to cascade down, unveiling your skin. Swiftly, you toss it into the growing pile that appears to be taking shape by the door.
Sirius gazes intently, his bottom lip captured between his teeth, and a subtle furrow forms between his eyebrows, âFucking hell, yâhave the prettiest tits Iâve ever seen.â
Before you can utter a word, his mouth is on your breasts. Pressing the softest kisses onto your nipple before gently biting it, causing your breath to hitch. He bends down, mirroring the gesture with the other one.
His hands, possessively grip at your hips, act as anchors, momentarily keeping you in place. However, a growing restlessness takes hold, and you start to squirm, a subtle plea for more of his attention. Silently comprehending your unspoken desire, he wordlessly responds. A gentle tug on your hand is all the communication needed, and without a momentâs hesitation, you obediently follow his lead.
Guiding you, he directs you to settle onto his bed, a silent request you readily heed. Your legs dangle over the edge of the bed as you rely on your elbows to bear all your weight.
Sirius kneels in front of you, easily slipping off both of your shoes and tossing them to the side. He reaches up, hooking his fingers into the waistband of your skirt before tugging it down and off of your legs. Youâre left in a pair of gray panties that easily show how soaked you are for him.
He pushes on your knees until your legs are completely spread for him, and he can get a clear view of your soaked underwear. A hushed curse escapes his lips, the words slipping out quietly as his gaze lingers on you.
âYouâre fucking stunning. I donât know what I did to deserve this. To deserve you.â You bask in his words, your body thrumming with warmth and delight as his sweet sentiments wash over you.
He glances up at you, and he nearly loses it right then and there. Youâre watching him through hooded eyes, your pupils dilated wide, a silent reflection of your anticipation and desire. He doubts he could ever erase the image of the way youâre gazing at him, etching it into his memory with the fervent wish to witness it for the rest of his days.
He caresses his hands along your thighs, fingers gently squeezing and kneading with each pass. Occasionally, he leans down, planting tender kisses on your sensitive skin, each one a whispered promise of affection. The closer he gets to your core, the more you squirm and let out soft whimpers.
âCan I take your panties off?â He asks, glancing up at you from between your thighs. The pad of his thumb brushes against your clit, and you jolt in surprise.
A gasp escapes your lips as youâre overtaken by the sensation, yet swiftly, you find yourself nodding frantically in response, âPlease.â
Overrun with desperation, Sirius pulls at them with such fervor that they nearly tear as he tugs them off. You canât help but giggle at his fervor, amused by his frantic actions and the unmistakable look of pure desire written across his face. He wouldnât be surprised if he was drooling, staring the sight of your glistening pussy.
âI want to be inside of you.â He declares, standing up from the floor, leaning over you to firmly grasp your jaw before capturing your lips in a heady, intoxicating kiss. The moan that escapes you sounds so foreign, so unlike yourself, that it catches you by surprise, leaving you momentarily taken aback. You donât bother vying for dominance, allowing him to take control of the kiss. He withdraws from you leaving your chest heaving and breaths coming in ragged gasps.
âTake your pants off.â You demand, reaching desperately for the band of his pajamas to shove them off. Sirius beats you to the task, swiftly shoving them off himself in a display of impatience.
âSirius.â Drool pools in your mouth at the sight of him. Long, thick, and pretty. Your lips part slightly, and you look up at Sirius in surprise, caught off guard by him. For a fleeting moment, you sit there, eyes locked, contemplating whether youâll be able to take him or not. Heâs bigger than anyone you have ever been with before.
Sirius doesnât let you stare for too long before his fingers are sliding through your soaked folds and brushing over your clit. Whimpers and moans tumble past your lips as Sirius rubs firm circles over you to get you adjusted before dipping down and pressing two fingers into you. A cry escapes you at the intrusion, and your hand instinctively reaches down to grip his bicep firmly.
Sirius startles you by leaning down and pressing the softest kiss to your clit, before licking you the bundle of nerves softly. Your body tenses with pleasure, hands gripping the sheets beneath you.
âIâve always wanted to taste you.â He confesses a surge of heat courses through your body, igniting every nerve ending as you absorb his words. He doesnât waste another second before leaning down and gently sucking on your clit.
âPlease donât stop.â You plead softly, and Sirius complies, continuing with unwavering determination. He nips and sucks, licking through your folds and holding your thighs open for him. His fingers continue to slide in and out of you; the sounds youâre making are obscene.
Youâre struck by the thojught that this doesnât compare to any other times that youâve been eaten out. But maybe itâs not just his technique that feels good; it might be the fact that its Sirius whoâs between your legs.
Your thighs tremble, and a euphoric sensation begins to build up in your stomach, making it feel like you are floating on a delightful high.
âSirius, I need you.â You gasp sharply, your fingers instinctively tugging on his hair, signaling for him to ease up. You wanted to come together for your first time, as cheesy as it may have been.
As he rises to his feet, your eyes meet, and contagious, goofy smiles spread across both of your faces. In this shared moment, a mutual understanding passes between youâacknowledging the absurdity of the situation yet reveling in the fact that thereâs nowhere else youâd rather be.
You watch as he wraps his hand around himself, dragging his hand up and down a few times. He whispers for you to scoot back until your head rests against the pillow, and with a gentle nod, you comply. He follows suit, settling on his haunches before you, creating a comforting, intimate space between you both.
âYâready?â He asks in a hushed tone, leaning in to hover over you, and at that moment, a rush of memories floods your mind, reminiscent of yesterday by the lake. Youâre convinced you must look rather pathetic with the speed of your nod, but Sirius only responds with a sweet smile.
With a grip on his cock, he slides the tip through your slick, both of you sucking in a breath at the sensation. He gently pushes at your entrance. Sirius steals a glance up at you, silently seeking reassurance, and you respond with a simple nod and a warm smile, letting him know that everything is perfect. Sirius catches you off guard as he leans down, tenderly pressing the gentlest of kisses to your lips, a gesture filled with unexpected sweetness.
His gaze shifts, watching as he pushes his cock inside of you, letting out a string of curses as your pussy grips him tight, pulling him deeper inside.
âFuck,â Gritting his teeth, he squeezes his eyes shut, breathing deeply through his nose, determined to regain control and prevent himself from losing composure. Heâs sitting fully inside you, and he has to take a breather because you feel better than he could have ever imagined. The last thing he wants is for this to end as soon as it begins.
His voice sounds utterly shattered, âYouâre so wet, fuck.â
You entwine your fingers in his hair, feeling the soft strands between your fingertips as you pull him closer, urging him to meet your lips with his own. The anticipation builds as his warm breath mingles with yours, creating an intimate connection before the gentle press of his lips against yours. Parting your lips, you deepen the kiss, and Sirius eagerly reciprocated.
âSirius. Fuck me, please.â You exhale softly against his lips, and Sirius responds with a low, guttural groan of longing and desire.
He doesnât waste any time before dragging his cock along the sensitive walls of your pussy, before thrusting back into you, âGod, your pussy feels incredible.â The cry that escapes you resonates loudly in the room, and youâre immensely grateful that everyone is out at Hogsmeade. The absence of others allows you the freedom to be as uninhibited as you are, knowing that the full dorms would never afford you the same level of privacy and volume.
âFeels so good.â You gasp, head rolling to the side, your cheek resting against the pillows. Siriusâ hands rest against the back of your thighs, holding your legs against your chest, giving a clear view of the way his cock is so seamlessly slipping inside of you.
He watches you, transfixed on the way your brows pinch together in pleasure, lips parting to let moans slip past. Itâs as if a dam has burst within Sirius, an unstoppable torrent of words and emotions pouring forth as he finds himself unable to contain everything heâs been holding back.
âFuck, you sound sâpretty, sweet girl,â The groan that leaves his lips is downright sinful. âThought about this pretty pussy all day. Pretended to be sick just to get off to the thought of you.â
âSirius.â You whine, reaching out to thread your fingers through his hair and pull him down to you. Youâre soaked and aching, desperate for Sirius to fuck you faster. However, much to your disappointment, he remains insistent on maintaining a slow, teasing pace.
âPictured tugging that fucking bikini top down. Watching your tits bounce while I fuck you. Fuck, cumming all over them.â The whine that escapes you feels pathetic, and under different circumstances, you wouldâve been embarrassed by it. However, given the situation youâre in, embarrassment takes a backseat.
âI know, baby. I know.â He complies, adjusting his position so that his right arm supports him above you while his left hand gently traces your skin. Brushing over your nipples, trailing up and over your tits, before placing his hand loosely around the base of your throat.
âYouâre fucking perfect,â He grunts, admiring how ruined you look for him. Your mascara smudged beneath your eyes from tears, and your lips swollen from his earlier kisses. He loved seeing you like this. Being the one to ruin you, to smudge your makeup and bring you to tears. âTaking my cock sâwell.â
Youâre incoherent, begging for Sirius to go harder, to fuck you faster. Hands pawing at his ass, desperately trying to bring him closer.
His hand squeezes your throat gently, âTell me you want me to fuck you harder. Câmon love, wanna hear you beg for it.â
A smug grin tugs on Siriusâ lips as he watches you struggling to form words. Youâre getting close if the way youâre squeezing him so tight and rolling your hips is any indicator.
But then a desperate, needy whine with the words he so badly wants to hear slips past your lips. Babbling about needing his cock and wanting him to ruin you. The second he hears your pleas, he thrusts into you harder, setting a brutal new pace that has you crying for him.
âIâll give you anything you ask for, mâlove.â He speaks so sincerely that you feel a surge of emotions welling up inside, an overwhelming urge threatening to bring tears to your eyes.
Overcome with your emotions, you reach for Siriusâ hand and interlace them together before Sirius presses your clasped hands into the sheets. His headboard thumps against the wall rhythmically.
âNeed you to fill me up. Please.â You plead desperately, and Sirius curses, his voice rough and strained.
âShit, thatâs my girl. Want me to fill you with my cum?â Itâs the praise that pushes you over the edge. Your back arches, pressing your breasts into Siriusâ chest and your legs tremble.
âDoing so good fâme.â Heâs close behind you. Your tight, wet walls clenching around him is what does it for him.
âFuck, baby. Gonna cum. Fuck.â Sirius moans, burying his head in the crook of your neck as his hips stutter and you cry out at the feeling of his warm cum filling you up. You clench his hand tightly, your nails likely leaving imprints on his skin. A sob escapes your lips, and your fingers weave through his hair, a desperate attempt to draw him closer.
You both remain entwined, lost in each otherâs embrace as you gradually come down from the euphoric highs. The room resonates with the sound of your intertwined breaths, each one heavy and labored. Your body feels utterly slack, every muscle loosened, and youâre so relaxed that you could easily doze off at any moment.
Sirius presses a couple of tender kisses against your neck, eliciting a satisfied hum from you. When he withdraws from you, a wince escapes you as you feel the separation, and Siriusâ eyes dart up to you in concern.
âYâokay, sweet girl?â
âIâm okay, just sore.â You grace him with a sweet smile, and Sirius leans in, gently pressing a tender kiss to your forehead.
âGonna get a towel, one second.â He assures you, rising from the bed and disappearing into the bathroom. You listen to the faucet running and the faint sounds of the cupboard opening and closing. Lying back, you gaze up at the ceiling, absently nibbling on your thumbnail until a smile breaks across your face at the thought of what just happened.
âHere, love.â Sirius says, sitting on the edge of the bed holding a washcloth in his hand. Heâs got a fresh pair of pajamapants on, you didnât even notice him grab clothes from his trunk, too lost in your thoughts.
Sirius gently grips your ankle, encouraging you to spread your legs. His breath hitches at the sight of his cum dripping out of you and onto his sheets, desperately hoping to see this sight again. He murmurs a curse under his breath, his touch gentle as he delicately uses the warm washcloth to clean between your thighs.
âThere.â He whispers softly before aiding you to sit up. As you glance over, you notice the t-shirt and pajama pants laid out beside him, meant for you. Your heart swells with warmth as he assists you in slipping it over your head. With a grateful smile, you slide into the pajama pants. Meanwhile, Sirius utters evanesco to fix the sheets up, before joining you in bed.
âCâmere.â He beckons to you, sinking into the pillows, and you nestle against him, finding solace as you rest your head on his chest.
In the silence, you both relish the comfort of each otherâs embrace, enveloped in a cocoon of intimacy. Lost in contemplation, your mind wanders, grappling with what just happened and what that meant for the both of you.
âThat wasnât just a one-time thing, was it?â You inquire, the hopefulness evident in your tone.
âNo,â Sirius responds, tilting your chin so you can meet his gaze. âI want you to be mine, for real this time.â
The fluttering butterflies that dance through your stomach are overwhelming as you absorb his words. A lovesick grin spreads across your lips, unable to contain the rush of emotions coursing through you, âThen Iâm all yours.â
You settle back into Sirius, and his arms hold you against him. The rhythmic rise and fall of his chest beneath your head lull you into a serene state, the sound of his steady heartbeat serving as a soothing lullaby that guides you into a peaceful sleep.
.ăťă.ăťăâăť.ăťâŤăťăăťă.
âIâm sorry, so you asked us to fake it not for Lily, but for Sirius and I to get together?â You gaze at James, confused, knitting your brows, while he sits opposite you at the table. Remus and Sirius are absorbed in their own conversation, and Peter is having breakfast with the girl he harbors a crush on. Despite their current status as friends, Peter seems overjoyed nonetheless.
James grins, casting you a smug look. âI mean, Lily genuinely thought you and I were a thing. At first, it really was because Lily thought we were together, but then I realized that this was the perfect way to get you and Sirius together.â
âJames! So you lied to us?â You huff in disbelief.
James shrugs nonchalantly, his demeanor radiating an air of casual indifference, âYou already knew I lied to Lily; whatâs the difference?â
You sigh softly, âThatâs true, but what about you and Lily? Are you two getting together?â
James smiles, âWeâll get there eventually. This was more about you and Sirius. And before you start, yes, Iâll tell her the truth.â He sends you a pointed look, and you chuckle, already preparing to remind him to come clean to Lily.
âYouâre certifiably insane.â You tease, exhaling a laugh.
âWell, it worked, didnât it? You got the guy.â James watches with delight as a lovesick smile effortlessly graces your face before you steal a glance at Sirius.
âOh, hey. Pick up your clothes next time youâre napping with Sirius,â He remarks casually, but the emphasis on the word napping lets you know that heâs fully aware there was more happening than just sleep. âMy shoe got tangled in your bra.â

Good Luck Babe
poly!marauders x nerd!female!reader
summary: after being a wallflower throughout your first five years at hogwarts, you always thought that you could be invisible. but when you hear the marauders talking cruelly about you and proceeding to ask for your forgiveness after, well good luck babe.
warnings: eventual smut! 18+ heavy angst, cursing, reader wants to kill the marauders , swearing, unprotected sex, praise, oral (male receiving), jealousy
a/n: oh hey... this is kinda based on those cliche 2000's movies where the girl is ugly but not really and she has that glow up or whatever. this was written so quick and not proofread, don't kill me. i hope you enjoy and as always, i apologize if you hate this!
STARTING off your sixth year at Hogwarts being an entirely new person wasn't something that you had planned or expected.
On the inside, you felt exactly the same, the same girl who was bold and could ferociously win a fight when it came to her character.
The same girl who was witty and sarcastic, surprising half of the people around you when you made a joke once in a lifetime.
But on the outside, you didn't have an awkward mis-shaped bob and you no longer wore baggy jackets that didn't do a thing for your figure.
And you didn't hide your face anymore, trying your best to be invisible.
It wasn't that you were shy or that you felt like a loser but you thought social hierarchy was bullshit and the only thing you wanted to focus on was your studies.
You may have been a brave Gryffindor on the inside but on the outside, you had to play the part of a shy mouse as corny as that sounds.
Unfortunately for you, invisibility only tends to last for so long until one moment, you are a nobody and then all eyes are upon you.
And maybe, just maybe, if you hadn't heard the Marauders discussing you the previous year, you would have stayed the same.
You had passed by the boys dormitory to give Remus his textbooks back as you always did when you let you borrow when you heard them speaking of the very person behind the door,
"I still have yet to understand why Lily and the rest of them act like she's some charity case," James huffed, "I mean, she's not some sick patient, they only feel the need to pity her because of how she looks."
You always knew that James had a foul mouth but to be speaking about someone like this, it was cruel.
Remus hissed, "That's not nice Prongs,"
"I'm not even saying it to be a dick!" James groaned, "I just mean, I pity her more for the fact that they don't even invite her to anything outside of breakfast and dinner," He explained, causing Remus to go silent.
Sirius chuckled, shaking his head. "That's absolutely horrid."
James reclined on his bed, a smirk playing on his lips. "Iâm just saying, if I were Y/N, Iâd be mortified."
Your eyes widened as they began to water, they were speaking about you.
Remus leaned against the wall, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Maybe she just doesnât want to hang out with Lily and the others."
"Moony, seriously," James shot back, sitting up. "Where is Y/N right now, and where are the other girls?" His eyebrow cocked, trying to make his point as Remus silenced.
Sirius raised an eyebrow, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Why donât we investigate for ourselves?" He unfolded the Marauder's Map with a flourish. "Alright, weâve got Lily, Dorcas, Mary, and Marlene all at Hogsmeade, but Y/N is..." His voice trailed off, eyes narrowing.
James leaned closer, annoyance creeping into his tone as he grabbed the map, "She's-" He stopped, the color fading from his face.
"Fucking spit it out!" Remus said next as he snatched the map finally and saw that the map had shown that you were right outside their door.
"Shit!" You heard Remus say as he started making his way to the door.
Hearing his footsteps approaching, you quickly moved away from the door, bolting for your room.
Once you made it back to your dorm, you had sinked the floor. You put your hand on your mouth, muffling yourself as you cried silently.
You honestly hated to even say it but you did consider Lily and the rest of them your friends. You had never really thought about how they didn't invite you to places.
And if you were being truthful, they had never asked you to have breakfast or dinner with them.
You had always just assumed that you could join but they never told you to leave or swooshed you off. Another part of you hated how stupid you were, trying to intrude on their private time.
You didn't want to let it get to you what a bunch of seventeen year old boys were saying but it did sting horribly.
But in a way, it also motivated you to be who you were on the inside. You already had the top marks in your entire year and your plan to work in the Ministry after Hogwarts had already been set.
And now your chance to be something at Hogwarts was right in front of you, an opportunity that you couldn't miss.
You had to do it for yourself.
The Marauders had no idea who you truly were or even cared to know. And although Remus was kind to you, you could always see that he never made any effort to be your friend.
Not that you expected him to but it only taught you that they truly thought you were some hopeless case.
And an assignment to make the Marauders bite their tongues was one that you couldn't bare to fail.
After hearing that, you decided to avoid the Marauders for the next month, especially with summer break approaching. To your surprise, you barely saw them outside of classes, never giving them a chance to reach outâeven Remus.
And then that summer, everything changed. You let your hair grow past your shoulders, embracing your natural curls instead of straightening them. You started wearing clothes that were trendy and form-fitting, a huge contrast to your old style.
You discovered a newfound love for self-care, enjoying the process far more than you expected. Each day felt like a transformation, and by the end of summer, your mother couldnât help but notice. âFinally listening to me about your style, huh?â she teased.
You only laughed as you embraced her,
If only she knew what had caused it in the first place.
As you said goodbye to your family, anticipation mingled with dread. You knew the train ride would be the least of your worries, but the welcome dinner and the ceremony ahead felt like they might just be hell reincarnate.
As you entered Hogwarts, you admired it as much as you did when you were a first year. The castle was something you considered a second home and everything about it was magical, there was no doubting that.
A crowd of students, including yourself, moved toward the Great Hall, and you settled into your usual seat at the Gryffindor table.
You spotted the Marauders and the usual group of girls approaching, and you couldnât help but roll your eyes. They took their usual spots in front of you, with the girls on one side and the boys on the other. James sat beside you, and Lily was directly in front of him.
You never quite understood why they arranged themselves like that, but it hardly mattered in the moment.
They were busy in conversation before James had noticed someone next to him, his eyes widening. You couldn't quite read his face but it seemed like a mix of confusion and flustered.
You stared at him back but he still had yet to mutter a word. You cleared your throat, "Uh hello," You practically whispered.
He snapped back into reality, "Oh sorry, hi," He muttered back.
Silence took over you both as James couldn't find the words of what to say to you.
On one hand, he wanted to call you beautiful, to tell you that you were one of the prettiest girls heâd ever seen. On the other, he just wanted to stare at you for a few more minutes like a creep.
Lily noticed his gaze and leaned in, smirking. "Excuse my friend; weâre still trying to figure out if he has a brain."
"I thought we solved that decades ago," Marlene chimed in, stifling a laugh.
Lily turned to you with a curious smile. "I donât believe Iâve seen you before. Whatâs your name?"
Are you actually fucking kidding me?
You scoffed, "I'm Y/N,"
The entire group looked at you in awe, even the ones who weren't chimed in on the conversation.
"Y/N L/N?" Sirius asked, mouth gaping.
"Yep, that one," You snorted.
They all looked like they had seen a ghost, "You look different," Marlene said as Mary shoved her.
"She means in a good way!" Mary added.
"Uh thanks," You said, awkwardly.
They all continued to stare at you like you were an exhibit in a museum, their eyes scanning you up and down.
"Do you all mind not staring at me?" you asked, trying to break the tension. They all looked away, feigning innocence as they muttered apologies.
"How have you been?" Lily asked, clearly trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Fine," you replied, your tone clipped.
You caught the pained expressions on the Marauders' faces, realizing they were the reason for your dismissive attitude.
"That's great," Lily said, forcing a smile.
You felt a wave of frustration at the awkwardness surrouding you and decided it was time to escape. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom," you announced, heading toward the exit before they could respond.
As you walked away, you could already here the mutters and whispers emerging from the table, the fascinating topic being you.
You paced as you heard footsteps trailing behind you, but you ignored them, letting your gaze wander around the castle.
"Y/N!" someone called out, startling you.
You turned to see Sirius, James, and Remus hurrying after you. You only let out a snort before continuing your same way.
A hand suddenly reached around your forearm as you turned to see Remus. You quickly snatched your hand away, finally stopping to look at the group of boys who you despised.
Crossing your arms, you shot them a hostile look. "What?"
"We just wannaâ"
"We're soâ"
"Listen, we justâ"
They all spoke at once, but you scoffed and turned back toward the bathroom, starting to walk away.
You were hoping that they would realize you wanted nothing to do with them but instead, it only made them want to chase you more.
They quickened their pace, and you spun around sharply. "For fuck's sake, what do you want?" you snapped.
James took a breath, his expression earnest. "I'm sorry for what I said. I've been thinking about it since you left. I was an awful twat, and you didn't deserve a thing of what I said."
You let out a sarcastic laugh, "Are you serious?" You asked as your expression changed to furious, "You basically called me a loser and said that Lily and the rest of them were only hanging out with me out of pity,"
James hissed as your statement, feeling the razor in your voice.
"-And now you all want to act as if I should just forgive you since I don't look the same anymore," You got closer to James's face, "Fuck off."
You turned your heel again and this time, the boys didn't follow you.
You finally entered the bathroom and shut the door behind you. Staring at your reflection in the mirror, you struggled to read the expression on your face. You were furious at the Marauders, and the idea of forgiving them felt impossible.
Yet, there was a flicker of gratitude that you felt for the change youâd undergone. Youâd gained a new confidence that felt good, but the sting of their cruel words still lingered in your mind.
And you knew that you couldn't let it get to you but knowing they thought that of you, even Remus. It still did things to you that you would never admit out loud.
Snapping out of your thoughts, you realized it was almost time to head to the dormitory.
The rest of the night had flown by, with first years being introduced to their new home for the next six years while everyone else relaxed in the common room. Despite curfews, fifth years and above knew they could hang out longerâthe curfew was mostly for the first years anyway.
"Caput Draconis," you muttered, and the Fat Lady nodded, granting you entrance.
Stepping into the common room, your heart sank as you spotted the last group you wanted to see. They noticed you just as quickly, encouraging you to pick up your pace toward the dorm.
"Hey, Y/N!" Dorcas called out, making you wince as you turned to see her waving.
The Marauders looked down, shame etched on their faces, avoiding your gaze as if you were Medusa.
You approached them slowly, dread settling in your stomach as they eyed you like a science project.
"We were just about to play a fun little game," Dorcas said enticingly, while Marlene snorted beside her.
"I donât know if Spin the Bottle is a great idea for the first night back," Marlene added, taking a sip of her beer.
"A little peck never hurt anyone," Lily chimed in, clapping her hands together.
Of all people, youâd never expect Lily Evans to approve such a thing. This was the same girl who nearly fainted when she heard about Marlene and Dorcas kissing the previous year.
"I donât know if this is the game for me," you replied, eyeing the group warily.
"Of course it is!" Lily insisted, but you raised an eyebrow. "Oh my gosh! Not like that, I just mean it's a fun game for us all to play," she quickly added, looking flustered.
Part of you wanted to say no and retreat to your bed, but that was the old you, and you knew it wouldnât help. This was a new year, and you were determined to embrace new experiences.
Besides, youâd never participated in any scandalous games for all of the years you've been at Hogwartsâit felt like a crime in itself.
So, after a momentâs hesitation, you said, "Okay, sure." The girls erupted in cheers, while the Marauders exchanged worried glances.
What if you had to kiss one of them? Would you refuse and create a scene? Would you want to strangle them for even suggesting it?
The possibilities raced through their mind, but there was no turning back as everyone began to form a circle.
As you sat in the circle, a shiver of nervousness enveloped you. You had never kissed anyone before and the whole thought made you nervous within itself.
Don't get it wrong, you've had chances but they never seemed right and you certainly weren't kissing Matthew Trunchbull underneath the bleachers of the Quidditch field.
So when you got offered a shot of firewhiskey to cool your nerves by Marlene, you took it happily as it burned down your throat.
You brushed off all the negative thoughts entering your mind,
What really is the worst thing that could happen?

"Sirius don't you dare, we're not at home." your whines go completely ignored by your boyfriend because as soon as you lay down on James' sofa, Sirius is lifting your sleep shirt and burying his head under it.
"What is wrong with him?" Lily asks as she passes you a mug of tea- chamomile with a touch of honey- before going to sit besides James who looks equally puzzled.
"Every time I get out of the shower at night he does this. Says the lotion I use is the cause." You pat your boyfriend's head under your shirt, Sirius turns sideways with a tired grin on his face.
"You act like Jamesie there isn't the biggest baby too." James gawks, hazel eyes narrowing.
"I didn't even say anything, Pads. I think it's sweet."
Remus shakes his head, "Of course you do. It'd be sweeter in private."
Lily, you and Marlene hide a laugh.
Stirring a pot, Lily says, "You could at least let the girl breathe."
"She smells like sleep, cocoa butter and vanilla. What am I meant to do against that?" He sounds too lovesick, and with the grin on his face, James wishes he had his phone nearby.
Remus solves that problem for him almost immediately. Sirius doesn't even protest.
"Siri, don't you think it's a little pathetic to have to hide under your girlfriend's clothes at night to sleep?" Marlene asks and Sirius pops his head out again.
"Pathetic is you trying to imply you haven't snuggled up next to her on your sleepovers." Marlene throws a chocolate covered almond at him while he just looks at her all pleased and content.
Remus rolls his eyes, "You could at least save it for when you get into your room."
You hide a smile, knowing exactly what Sirius is going to say. You and your boyfriend have this conversation every night you join him back on the sofa instead of in bed.
Sirius doesn't dignify Remus with full view of his face- he moves your shirt just enough that his mouth and nose are visible.
"M'gonna be asleep in a bit anyways. In fact you're all just prolonging when I'll be able to sleep by carrying out an inquisition at near midnight."
You chuckle into your mug, taking a sip as Sirius shuffles up your body and settles again.
"You're a saint, Y/n." James compliments as he watches Sirius' hold on your waist tighten before he starts the movie.
Your boyfriend whines the second your hand falls on his back and you roll your eyes, slipping your hand down his shirt and scratching his back for him.
You can feel Sirius taking deep, lungful breaths of you before his heartbeat slows a bit and his breathing evens out- not even ten minutes into the movie he'd suggested.
"He's a big fucking baby." Marlene marvels at the way Sirius sleeps through the movie, hands around you and face hidden away under your shirt. "You wouldn't even guess he was clingier than Potter."
"Hey!" James groans, but he can't protest, his head is in Lily's lap as he twists and coils strands of his hair. Sirius hasn't even shown them the half of it- James keeps that tidbit to himself.

hi, could you write a drabble with reader x remus where she rlly struggles with getting involved or going to hang out with people without explicitly being invited (just feeling really worried about being rejected) and he kind of reassures her and looks after her?
hi, thanks for this request! hope you enjoy, i generally don't write school-aged drabbles but thought this fit the best.
summary: your fear of being rejected stops you from joining your friends, but remus reassures you
remus x fem! reader (implied early stages romance)
Sitting by one of the fireplaces in the Gryffindor common room, youâre wondering how many of the people around you have exchanged glances over the top of your head. You can almost feel judgement thickening the air, raised eyebrows and confused smiles that ask why is she even here? To be honest, the only reason that you havenât moved away is that you were technically sitting here first, and the rest of them milled in and took their spots nearby- then again, was it purposeful, your taking a place on one of the sofas they often use? In hindsight itâs just embarrassing. They must be assuming that you sat down just so theyâd have no choice but to talk to you.Â
You know youâre expecting the worst of this group, none of whom particularly deserve it. The flock of seventh-years surrounding you are generally a good bunch; Lily, Sirius, Marlene, Mary, Peter, James, Remus, and Dorcas,. You want to be one of them more than you want most other things, which is somewhat pathetic and completely obvious in the way youâre always hanging around. They may all be lovely, and your friends (to some extent), but you know how irritating it can be if thereâs always someone not quite in the group hanging around.
You should leave. Get up and make some comment about homework, or whatever, and wait for absolutely nobody to stop you. Itâs kinder to everybody. Isnât it?
Lost in your thoughts, you miss what Lily says next, and then theyâre all getting to their feet. You give what you hope is a casual smile, simultaneously relieved of your spiralling and disappointed that theyâre fulfilling your expectations.
Thereâs a tap on your shoulder- Remus, your favourite, whose hair has grown out over Christmas and now curls over his ears. He seems to get taller and lovelier with every passing moment. Itâs difficult to make eye contact.
âWeâre heading to the greenhouses, did you hear?â He says quietly, hand stilling instead of pulling away. You press your lips together and nod, carefully hiding any sort of misplaced hurt. Itâs not as if youâre entitled to an invitation.
âAlright, Iâll see you later!â Too enthusiastic.
His brows pinch together. âYouâre not coming?â
You look up at the others, who are collecting scarves and bags on their way to the portrait-hole. How can you admit to Remus that you donât think they want you along? How can you tell him, anyone, that youâre far too afraid of being made fun of, or becoming a joke within their tight-knit group, to risk it?
âOh, I donât know. I have heaps of homework.â
âYou do?â He raises his eyebrows. You feel caught, despite not having been accused of any sort of lie. âI thought you finished it all yesterday.â
Youâd been studying when he and Lily joined you, and all day youâve been wondering why they chose to. You probably put a but too much value on people choosing to sit next to you in class or during study; itâs unlikely that it was more than an absence of other free tables.
â...Some, yeah. And I wouldnât want to- you know, I wouldnâtâŚâ You trail off and give an awkward laugh. Remusâ gentle expression is making the inside of your mouth hurt.
âWhat?â Youâre not used to your excuses mattering so much. Mostly, you mutter something and disappear to your dorm in time to avoid any drama. Is he feeling guilty, awkward about having made plans as a group in front of someone else? You cringe at the notion of Remus realising how friendless you probably are, of his pity.Â
You know itâs your own fault for being like this. Youâve had friends in the past- cool, funny, popular, attractive- who frequently left you out on purpose. A drunken conversation in fifth year revealed that you were tolerable at best, a joke at worst. Always pushing in and so desperate for invitations that to extend them could only be ironic.Â
You think about that more often than you should. Youâre constantly hyperaware of how tolerable you are, sure that youâll say or do something which will make everyone else realise exactly why youâre not in any particular group. You canât let that happen yet with all these people, so full of love for one another that even proximity to them feels like the experience of it. Still, theyâre teenagers. Judgement is an automatic response, and Remus is clever in the way he jokes. Heâll retell this conversation to roaring laughter if you reveal too much- not that heâs ever unkind, but you sort of invite a bad impression, you think.
âItâs really fine,â You assure him. âIâm tired. Itâs cold, too.â
âRight,â He nods, glancing downwards. You think youâve won (as much as you can win, here) until he turns to James and Peter and says, âI think weâre going to stay here. Bit chilly.â
What?
James frowns, making a sound of protest. âMoony!â His eyes fall to you next, and you look away, guilty and embarrassed. Youâd never even considered that pity would drive Remus to actually stay here, and now theyâll all hate you. Nice job, very well handled.
Marlene is next. ââCas has just finished growing the Alihotsy plant, though. Weâre all going.â
âItâs been weeks since we all had the evening off- or at least, since Potter and Black didnât have a detention each,â Lily reasons more kindly. She receives twin protests from the boys on either side of her, but remains unbothered, adding, âItâd be nice to spend a bit more time as a group.â
Youâre awfully close to tears. All youâd wanted was to relieve them of yourself, to retreat to your room and wait until somebody explicitly invited you somewhere (if ever), and now youâve gone and ruined everybodyâs evening. You turn to Remus, more urgent than is likely normal. âPlease just go with them,â You say softly, aware that your voice is all wobbly. âIâm just going to go to bed, I donât want to interrupt all of you catching up. Please, itâs really okay.â
Thereâs a brief silence that spans the entire crowd. Theyâve all heard, are all likely attempting not to laugh. Remus is giving you an awful look.Â
â...Are you okay, lovely?â Mary asks. You canât look at her, canât look at any of them, but youâve always been alright at masking emotion in your voice when you really try. You force something like a smile.
âYes! Yes, completely fine, Iâm only tired. Post-holiday blues, maybe.â You laugh and it sounds terrible. âIâve really only got to go to bed. You all have fun!â Silence again.Â
âWe might join you all in a bit,â Remus says firmly. There are a few worried noises of assent, and they all head off. Now, you do see them looking at one another, frowning and looking upset. Poor Remus, you imagine them saying on their way to the greenhouses, stuck looking after her while we all escape.
Remus asks you to sit down again three times before you agree, still rather set on going to bed so you wonât cry in front of the entire common-room.
âWhatâs making you so upset?â He asks softly, once heâs finally detained you. You blink quickly and cast a glance around at the other students in the common-room, afraid to embarrass yourself more than you already have, but heâs quick to assuage the fear. âI cast a muffliato when James began talking about the Alihotsy prank- ages ago. Nobodyâs heard anything, I promise.â
You swallow harshly. âOh. Thanks. Iâm sorry Iâm being so- so-â
âIf I could,â Remus says, firm but kind, âThis will be a lot easier if we can get to the problem, here, rather than whatever you think youâve done wrong.â
âI- right. Okay. Um,â You stammer. âTheyâre not really mutually exclusive.â âWhy donât you want to come? Did somebody say something hurtful?â You look at him, slightly startled. âWhat? Itâs not that I donât want to.â
Remus seems perplexed, looking the way he does when heâs working out a particularly difficult exam question. âNo?â
âNo.â You twist your fingers together so tightly that they hurt. âNo, it sounds fun, it just⌠itâs not as if Iâm going to demand to be brought along, am I?â The joke falls flat. You think you already knew it would, but itâs still a bit embarrassing to laugh and be met with a concerned frown.
You take a few longer breaths. You can fix this. You have to fix this.Â
âLook, itâs kind of you to stay here, but like Lily said- you all have the night off. Itâs really not so bad not to spend it as a group. I want you to go, really.â The next smile is easier. Youâve done this before, convinced people not to feel bad for you.Â
âWhy would you need to demand to be brought along?â Remus asks. âWe made the plans while you were right here.â
âYou all made plans together,â You explain slowly. âYou know, having an evening to yourselves and that sort of thing. Thereâs no need for- you know, Iâm honestly just tired. Thatâs probably why Iâve reacted so oddly, itâs my own fault.â
Remus looks at you for a long while, so intent that your skin gets prickly and uncomfortable. Eventually, he speaks, quiet and considered. â...You havenât acted oddly if thatâs how youâve been feeling.â
âTired?â
âNo, excluded.â He says gently. âYou really didnât know you were invited?â You donât answer with more than silence, and he sighs.Â
âYou were. Youâre always invited, dove, of course you are.â
Trying not to get to hung up on impossibilities, you shake your head quickly. âItâd be a bit rude to assume that.â
âIt wouldnât.â Remus replies immediately. Then, âDove, what are we going to do with you?â Entirely too much to comprehend. Youâre glad he goes on. âWould you look at me for a moment, please?â
You want to ask him why, or refuse, or run up to your dormitory, but you do as he says. You wonder if he knows that he could ask you to do almost anything and youâd say yes, if heâll only keep looking at you with his coffee-coloured eyes.
âAll of us- we want you to come along, wherever we are. Youâre important to lots of people. Do you understand that?â âI- I just donât want to push myself in.â You say, mortified.
âYou arenât. Youâre being pulled, if anything, yeah?â His lips quirk. âWhen Lily said those things about spending time as a group, she meant you, too. If somebody said something that made you think otherwise, Iâll-â
âNobody said anything,â You tell him feebly. This is all rather a lot to take in. âI think⌠maybe itâs more that nobodyâs said I am invited, or a part of- I donât know, itâs all sort of stupid.â
âNo itâs not,â Remus disagrees. He pinches your chin quickly between thumb and forefinger, frowning again. Mary once commented that Remus would look sixty by the time you all left school, with all his worrying wrinkles. âNot stupid, but itâs not very kind to yourself, either. Why shouldnât we want you around?â
You open your mouth and close it at his raised eyebrow. âRhetorical question?âÂ
âRhetorical question.â He confirms amusedly. âThereâs no point arguing, because we do. I do. I wish you wouldnât think otherwise.â
âIâve only been friends with all of you for a little while, though. Youâve all been mates since first-year.â At that, Remus outright scoffs. âHave we, now?âÂ
You shrug.Â
âJames and Lily always liked each other, then? Dorcas didnât only just start hanging around us as well?â You look down, and he sighs. âHowever long everybodyâs known one another, the most important bit is that we all like each other, yeah? It wouldnât matter whether we became mates at eleven or two days ago- weâre friends. Or- you know.â
You definitely donât know, but youâre going red anyway. He was definitely talking about Lily and James- thatâs all he meant by âyou knowâ. Isnât it?
Remus scratches the back of his head, quiet for another second. Then, â...Why donât we go down to the greenhouses? Weâll stick together the whole time, youâll not be sat by yourself again.â
âI donât want to make you babysit.â
Remus tsks, expression becoming sterner for a moment. âDonât think that way about yourself. Iâm asking because I want you to come- itâs not worth going if you arenât there.â
The long moment it takes for you to decipher whether heâs only being nice or if thatâs the truth is enough for Remus to decide that you donât really have a choice in the matter. Tugging you to your feet, and seeming taller than ever with your proximity, he winds his own scarf around your neck and pushes some hair behind your hear. You let him, mostly because youâre too surprised to do anything about it.
âLetâs go, before they all decide to try some of the Alihotsy themselves. Gloves?â
You manage a nervous giggle, putting your mittens on when he hands them to you. âThanks.â
âThatâs alright. Come on,â He gives you a crooked sort of smile. Itâs sometimes difficult to tell if Remus is aware how good-looking he is.Â
The entire group are far too enthusiastic at yours and Remusâ arrival fifteen minutes later, given the fact that itâs hardly been half an hour since they left. Either way, youâre quickly pulled into a squabble between Lily and James about- as Remus predicted- the logic of trying some Alihotsy for themselves.Â
âThank Merlin you came, youâre the only one who wonât be completely daft about this!â Lily says, linking her arm in yours. You smile before catching Remusâ eye and looking down, feeling yourself flush. Smug bastard, you think fondly.
Itâs an entire two hours before everyone heads back up to the castle, having thoroughly violated curfew but without (to James and Siriusâ chagrin) having tested any of the plant which would induce hysterical laughter. You find yourself walking beside the tallest of the group in comfortable silence, a few steps behind the rest.
âThanks for making me come with you,â You say, perhaps a little more earnestly than you ought. âIt was really nice.â
ââCourse, dove.â You look up at Remus to find heâs already looking at you. He clears his throat, glancing over at Sirius and Marlene where theyâre pretending to push each other into the snow. Itâs likely to end in one of them following through and the other swearing eternal hatred. âWeâre all glad you came along. Could even make a habit of it.â
You exhale a laugh. âMaybe.â
He gives you a sideways look. âOh, âmaybeâ, is it?â â...Conceivably?â You grin, darting away when he grabs at you and sort of wishing youâd stayed still just to see what heâd do. Remus fixes you with a teasing glare.
âWatch it, sweetheart.â
You blink, choking on words for a minute. Sweetheart? Sweetheart!? Sweetheart, sweetheart, sweetheartsweetheartsweetheartsweetheart-
âYou alright?âÂ
âYeah!â You say, too quickly. Remus misreads your flusteredness as something else and softens, taking hold of your sleeve and tugging you towards him. You go easily.
âIf itâll help,â He says thoughtfully, âYou can ask me if youâre invited to things. Or Iâll just tell you. Then you wonât have to go to the trouble of assuming either way.â
You like him so, so much. âThatâs really nice of you, Remus.â
âEh,â He shrugs. âYou know me.â
Now, itâs harder not to smile than anything else. âI donât want you to go to any trouble. Itâs really my problem, I shouldnât-â
âEnough,â He interrupts gently. âJust say yes, dove, if itâll help. I wonât be unhappy either way.âThere are several places within you, the more unkind parts, that say accepting his offer would be like accepting pity. But there are also places that are warmed at the thought, that remember how people reacted when you arrived in the greenhouse, that can start imagining a reality wherein nobody hated your presence by the sofas tonight, and those bits win the argument for the first time in a very long time. You look up at Remus, his soft eyes and fluffy hair dusted with snow, and nod.

THE DARK NIGHT â sirius black + "don't forget to kiss me" from glue song by beabadoobee ty hehe
omg yes I freaking love that song
fem!reader 1k words
Youâre up early for work, as always. Sirius, the lucky bastard, gets to sleep in. You mourn his warmth as you get ready in the ensuite, peeking through the half-open door to see him fast asleep in bed, bare arm stretched out over your empty side and his hair all fanned out over his pillow. He looks unfairly pretty when he sleeps.
It makes you want to cry. And to ditch your makeup and get back in bed with your boyfriend. You sigh and turn back to the mirror. You manage to get through your makeup and your hair before you allow yourself to look at Sirius again. Only, heâs not in bed anymore. Heâs standing in the doorway, watching you in nothing but his boxers.
âSirius,â you gasp, half-shocked to death. âJeez. How long have you been standing there?â
Sirius mumbles something unintelligible. His eyes are still plagued by sleep, lips pulled into a tired frown. He is very clearly not a morning person. Itâs amusing, and very cute.
He shuffles into the bathroom and across the tiles until heâs right in front of you. His bare chest staring you in the face. His tattoos stark against his pale skin. He smells like sleep. Like the laundry detergent youâd used on the sheets yesterday and his conditioner that you both share. It immediately makes you want to fall asleep against his chest in the middle of the bathroom.
âGo back to bed,â you tell him softly. You touch your hand to his abdomen, spread your fingers over his ribcage. You swear he shivers under your touch. âYouâre tired.â
Sirius doesnât say anything, only gets his arms around you in maybe the warmest, softest hug heâs ever given you. One arm circling around your back to hold your waist, the other bent over the top of your back to cup your head in his hand.
You melt.
âSirius,â you say weakly, speaking into his chest. Itâs hard to talk when heâs so close. When itâs just you and him, in the dark, quiet hours of the early morning, and heâs giving up his precious sleep to hug you instead.
âY/N,â he says back, in the same sort of tone, the first intelligible word heâs said this morning. His hand strokes the back of your head all slow and soft. âCâmon, just let me hug you. I miss you.â
His words stick together like taffy, seep into your heart and make your chest ache. âMiss me?â You ask softly, though you think you know what he means. âIâm right here, baby.â
Sirius holds you tighter. So tight youâre sure your fresh skin products are rubbing away on his chest. You canât bring yourself to care.
âI mean I miss you in bed,â he says moodily. He presses his lips to your hair and speaks into it, âDonât want you to leave.â
Fondness for him bruises your heart. Makes your body ache all over. You make a pitying noise without really meaning to.
âI donât want me to leave, either,â you say into his chest. You pull away slightly and press your lips to his chest, kiss kiss kiss over his sternum before lifting your chin so you can look at him.
He gazes back down at you, pretty in his sleepiness, the lovesick look on his face mirroring exactly how you feel.
âThen donât,â he says.
You sigh. Itâs affectionate in its annoyance. Youâre annoyed because heâs so lovely and heâs really extremely persuasive even when heâs not trying.
âI canât,â you say. You kiss his chest one more time and then pull away from him before you get stuck in his arms all day. Scoop up your things, slide past him back into the bedroom to get your bag.
Sirius watches you silently. He drags his feet back to bed when he realises youâre not planning on staying, however persuasive he is. You shrug on your jacket and slip on your shoes, pack your bag and grab your purse. By the time youâre done you think Sirius has gone back to sleep. You try to leave the room very quietly so as not to wake him again, but his voice calls you back.
âY/N, darling?â His voice is raspy as ever, with him straining to talk loud enough for you to hear him. It honestly makes you a bit dizzy, the roughness in it. âYou forgot something.â
You wheel around. âWhat? Iâve got everything, I think.â You instinctively check your purse for your phone, your wallet, your keys. Theyâre all there.
The blanket-covered lump that is Sirius rolls over onto his back. He lifts his head very slightly off the pillow so he can squint at you in the dark.
âYou forgot to kiss me goodbye,â he says, as if itâs obvious.
You huff but stride across the room anyway, lean over his side of the bed and plant one hand on the side of his waist furthest away from you.
âItâs âcos I thought you were asleep, thatâs why,â you explain, hovering over his chest.
He grins up at you, eyes half closed. Looking so lovely and sleepy and warm that you almost cave and fall right back to bed with him.
âExcuses,â he says lightly.
You roll your eyes and lean in to kiss him. Itâs meant to be a chaste kiss, a quick one so you can leave before youâre late for work. But Sirius is quick to shoot his hand up and hold your jaw in place while he kisses you deep and slow, his lips hot and languid. He even manages to sneak a bit of tongue in there, even this early in the day. His thumb drags over your cheekbone and you think if he keeps kissing you like this, youâre never gonna leave.
You think thatâs exactly what he wants. You pull away before you can give in to his antics.
âSirius,â you say, breathless, lips swollen.
Sirius falls back onto the pillows, grinning like mad. His hand finds your hand across the sheets and squeezes.
âBye, sweetheart. Have a good day, yeah?â
You escape before he can make you late for work. It wouldnât be the first time.

poly!marauders x pregnant fem!reader
"you know, i knew babies are tiny, but this is like way too much tiny." sirius says as he grabs a pair of baby shoes from the shelf. "i mean how small should you be to get your feet fit into this?"
you laugh at your boyfriend. he still cannot picture baby sizes in his mind. "just imagine how tiny the rest of her will be if this is the size of her feet."
"okay, overuse of the word 'tiny' for you two." remus intervenes. "she'll grow up faster than you can imagine at the beginning so maybe we could get something bigger."
"i find this whole conversation pointless, why don't we just buy everything we find cute?"
you turn your head to james. he looks at a pink baby dress like it's the coolest thing he's ever seen. he's just too big and broad in a store like this, all tiny baby clothes and your tall boyfriend with strong arms to carry everything. you put your hand on your belly, admiring him from afar.
"someone seems to like seeing jamie holding up a nice baby dress, huh, gorgeous?"
"can you blame me?" you whisper to sirius. "he looks extra hot in here."
"yeah, he also looks kinda like a statue amongst us poor humans."
james comes next to you in two steps. "i'm serious, angel. we should get everything we think is cute, isn't this how you shop for a baby?"
"we have a list to complete." remus says, softer than he intends to. baby stores bring out the best of him apparently. "are you okay, dove? we can go home the moment you feel a little tired."
"or james can carry you." sirius says. "just saying."
"i'm okay." you tell them. "let's get the stuff on the list."
it doesn't take long, remus asks for help from a nice girl who works here and after half an hour you're done with the list. james also puts some unnecessary but cute as hell dresses on the shopping bag. no one stops him.
"oh, look at that!" you show them a stuffed panda. it has huge eyes and the softest fabric. "we should get this."
remus takes the stuffie from the shelf. the baby's first stuffed toy. it's just the right one.
"we're definitely getting this." he says. "maybe we can even name it before she's born. another member of the family."
"moons, it's already hard to pick a name for our babygirl and you want us to decide on a name for her stuffie, too? this is too much."
"yeah, well." remus shrugs. names are important. "we still have time before she joins us."

would you ever write a ditsy!reader with sirius? where he's grumpy and she's just giggly and makes him feel a little less grumpy? I love you and your writing sending kisses <3
I love you
Fuckâs sake. Sirius glares at the TV. Fuck off.Â
âWhatâs it say?â you call from the kitchen.Â
âItâs raining all weekend.âÂ
âNo way, really?â You appear with a tea towel in your hands, wiping your fingers dry one at a time. âShit, sorry, baby. I guess we better get out our rain ponchos.âÂ
Sirius loves concerts, but he hates shitty weather. âWhat if they cancel?âÂ
âI donât think theyâll cancel.â You put the tea towel on the coffee table and gesture for him to do something. What it is you want is unclear, but Sirius leans back, and, as usual, you make yourself at home in his lap. Gentle but not shy. âWe might get a bit muddy, is all.âÂ
You rest your ribs half on his chest and half against the sofa. This close, he can confess to finding you the kind of beautiful that makes his jaw ache. Being around you is like a constant re-realisation that youâre his amazing girl, his one good love, as he likes to put it. Romance has never felt more real to him than when heâs with you, slipping his arm behind your back, and letting your nose at his jawline. Then the man on TV says the area is at risk of thunder and lightning on Saturday and he forgets to be in love.Â
âFucking hell,â he complains, clinging to you as though you have the power to change what the weatherman has to say.Â
âIt wonât be as bad as youâre thinking,â you sing-song back.Â
âNo, weâll be turned to husks when weâre struck by lightning, but Iâm sure itâll be great.âÂ
âSo negative,â you murmur, drawing along his collar.Â
âIâm being realistic, lovely, our weekend is completely ruined.âÂ
âThatâs not true, is it? Your weekend is ruined. Mine is the same as it was, because I donât care if it rains on Metallica, I just want to spend time with you.âÂ
âYouâre such a dick,â he says through a soft laugh.Â
âWhy? Because I am clearly the more loving partner?â you tease.Â
âYes. Because I donât care about you at all, I only care about the concert, and spending time with you means nothing to me.âÂ
âOh, well when you put it like that,â you murmur, leaning in to kiss his neck softly. Short presses of your lips with the faintest of sounds, then you're giggling. Heâs glad you canât see his face. Youâd run with the honeyed smile he wears now. He would never hear the end of it.Â
âIâll have to find your anorak,â he says, rubbing a loving path down your back.Â
âWeâll get the thermals out of the attic. Donât worry, baby, the rain wonât ruin all your fun.â You kiss him again, and laugh like youâve made a joke he isnât privy to.Â
âWhatâs funny?â he asks.Â
âI just love you when youâre mad.âÂ
âIâm not mad.âÂ
âAggrieved, then.â You lift your face only to hold his and press your nose to his cheek. You move your face back and forth, like a hurried nuzzling. âYouâre such a downer.âÂ
âStop it.âÂ
âMake me,â you say through giggles.Â
He closes his eyes and turns in for a proper kiss.Â

hello mae! I had a request Iâd like to give you. I was wondering if you could write a poly!marauders x reader where reader has never slept beside anybody before bc intimacy isnât something sheâs used to therefore sheâs not used to being that close to anybody. everytime she shifts sheâs afraid to wake up the boys, or she just doesnât know what to do.
I know you have âfirst night with maraudersâ so if this is too similar I totally get it. đ¤
Hello sweetheart, thank you for your request!
poly!marauders x fem!reader ⥠990 words
Youâre terrible at this.Â
Each of the boys is sound asleep. Sirius has his leg hooked over yours and one of his arms tossed over Jamesâ chest, Remusâ hand has to be halfway numb underneath your pillow, and James is snoring softly on the far side of the bed from you. Theyâre all so obviously comfortable, practiced in resting like this, whereas you started to get stiff a half hour ago and youâve been unable to make yourself relax since.Â
Every movement takes a year, youâre trying so hard not to wake them. You feel like the girl in a movie whoâs trying to sneak out of the bed of a one-night stand, all taut muscles and bated breath, except you only want to roll over. Slow, microscopic movements have to be the key.Â
Your back crackles softly when you shift your weight onto your other hip, and a sigh escapes you before you can stop it.Â
A low, croaky hum comes from just in front of your face. Your brain is a tempest of expletives.Â
âHey.â You can nearly feel the gravel of Remusâ voice buzzing against your lips. âYouâre up.âÂ
Muddled with sleep, you canât tell if his tone is reprimanding or simply observational. âSorry,â you whisper regardless.Â
âWhaâ for?â Movement under the pillow beneath your head, and then a long-fingered hand is nestling beneath your cheek. His scars and calluses slide familiarly over your skin. âCanât sleep?â
Nope, and now itâs two of you. Guilt grows vines around your ribcage. Remus sounds more awake by the second.Â
âIâll be okay.â You press a soft kiss to the corner of his lips, hoping to mollify him. âGo back to sleep.âÂ
Your boyfriend makes a half-aware disgruntled sound. âNo, not without you.âÂ
As exhausted as you are, you have to bite down on a smile. When heâs uninhibited like this, Remus really is quite the flirt, all his dorky, sweet thoughts coming out before he can remember to stop them. Heâs nearly as bad as James.Â
You think he must see a hint of your smile in the dark, because Remusâ own lips tilt upwards. He leans closer to kiss the cool skin of your cheek, the only cold part of you thanks to a heavy duvet and the body heat of three lovely boyfriends. A kiss for a kiss.Â
He leaves his lips there as he murmurs, âWhatâs wrong, dove?âÂ
Well, funny he should ask. Whatâs wrong now is the slight tickle of his stubble against your cheek, the hoarse quality to his voice in your ear. His breath warming your cold skin, and the hand he slides across the space between you to rest on your hip, layered in between the sheets and your pajama bottoms.Â
But you know thatâs not what heâs asking.Â
âI canât get very comfortable,â you confess, speaking so softly he wouldnât be able to make it out if his ear werenât two inches from your lips, âand I didnât want to wake anyone up.âÂ
Remus hums, as though this is a prognosis heâd already reached and was merely waiting for you to confirm. You can hear Siriusâ voice as clearly as if he were awake: know it all.Â
âThey can sleep through anything,â he says. âOne time the fire alarm went off, and James didnât even stir. Donât worry about them.â You must be emanating guilt, because he strokes his thumb over your hip pacifyingly. âAnd I donât mind being woken up. Iâm in and out of sleep all night anyway, itâs not hard for me to get back. Youâre not used to sleeping with so many people, yeah?âÂ
Your face warms at his phrasing, though of course you know what he means. âOr with anyone,â you murmur.Â
âMm. I think I know what you need.âÂ
You donât realize Remusâ plan until heâs already sat up. He reaches over you, rubbing Jamesâ shoulder gently while you protest vehemently through whispers.Â
James wakes with a yawn, taking Remusâ hand automatically and bringing it close to his face. âWhaâsâit?â
âTake her,â Remus requests drowsily. With his other hand, he nudges you forward.Â
James starts to blink his eyes open, and you see no way out. You start climbing over Sirius as delicately as you can. âSorry,â you whisper, to him, to them, to the room in general.Â
Remus helps you out by tugging Sirius into your place. The other boy whines but settles quickly, rolling over to sling his leg over Remusâ instead.Â
James welcomes you as heartily as his sleep-addled state will allow, adjusting the covers over you and smudging a few toothpaste-scented kisses onto your face.Â
âYâcanât sleep?â he asks.Â
You shake your head. âSorry.âÂ
He makes a soft dismissive sound. âCâmere, angel.âÂ
You refrain from telling him that youâre already here as his arms find their way around you, soft and firm in all the right places and deliciously warm. He starts to make slow, sweeping circles onto your back with his hand.Â
âJamie,â you murmur, grateful but embarrassed, âdonât stay up for me. Go to sleep.âÂ
âMâbasically there,â he replies. âYou first, yeah?âÂ
You can hear Remusâ breathing evening out behind you, syncing with Siriusâ, and youâre suddenly sure that this is part of a routine he and the boys shared before you ever met them. Thatâs how he knew to hand you off to James, and how James knew exactly what to do. Something about that comforts you. And far be it for you to mess with tradition.Â
You shuffle closer to James under the covers. He obliges you happily, adjusting his grip so heâs holding you more securely, with your leg resting against his and your forehead an inch from his nose. The shushing of his heavy palm on the material of your pajama top is the only sound in the world.Â
You hear his breathing starting to deepen again, but James is right; you beat him there.Â

no fondling in the dog house
Sirius Black x fem!reader who has to pick him up from the kennel [1.1k words]
CW: talk about fondling bollocks, a police station, Sirius being the least serious person, a good humoured argument between partners, threats of neutering/castration
âNow, maâam, you are aware that under the highway code, dogs must be kept on a lead?â
âYes sir.â You offered as earnestly as you could, though you couldnât help the indignance that coloured your voice at the fact that you were the one being scolded for this misdemeanour right now.Â
âAnd that they must be accompanied by their owner.â The enforcement officer continued, cocking an unimpressed eyebrow at you for your insolence.Â
âOf course; I really am sorry, sir.â You offered more sincerely; you were really very sorry that you were here at all.Â
âTheyâre also meant to be microchipped by the time they are 8-weeks old.â He continued, sifting through the numerous documents you signed after proving that the large black dog that had been picked up by muggle animal control did, indeed, belong to you.Â
âOh, heâs going to be microchipped alright.â You grumbled, adding a quiet âgonna look at having him neutered, tooâ under your breath.Â
The officer ignored you as he called to his coworker to bring the stray out.Â
âWhat did you say his name was again?â
But before you had a chance to answer, his coworker let out a surprised âoofâ when you heard the sound of paws galloping down the kennel hall before a large, long-haired black dog came barrelling through the doorway and sat excitedly at your feet.
âPadfoot.â You offered reproachfully, both in answer to the enforcement officer you just spent the past forty minutes being chastised by and in greeting to your boyfriend who was officially in the dog house.Â
Padfoot offered you a bark back in response; the enforcement officer still seemed rather displeased with the both of you, but the kennel attendant let out a pleased laugh at the exchange.Â
âWhat the fuck?â You asked the dog, to which he responded by nuzzling against your hand with his snout. You gently shoved it away from you.Â
âHeâs really quite a well behaved dog.â The attendant offered, either missing the disbelieving and reproving looks from both you and the enforcement officer respectively, or choosing to ignore them. âUsually strays are all stressy and anxious, but he sat patiently during intake and followed me right to the kennel without any hesitation.â
Padfoot looked between you and the attendant as if saying âdid you hear that? I was good!â whilst you and the officer both stared at them a little bit longer before you ultimately broke the silence. âYeah,â you deadpanned, âIâm sure he was a real treat.âÂ
âDonât forget to invest in a tag for him.â The officer called as you slid a collar and lead onto Padfoot.
âWill do, officer. I really am sorry for all of this. I swear, it will not happen again.âÂ
Seemingly appeased, he waived you off, and you and Padfoot exited the police station.Â
You dropped the lead and let Padfoot drag it himself as you turned down the alleyway - nearly snapping your wand with the force you used to tap the enchantment that brought you back to the magical side of London - and stepped right into Diagon Alley.Â
âBaby-â
âOh donât you baby me, Sirius.â You hissed as you turned on your heel to glower at your boyfriend; you watched his cupidâs bow flatten as he folded his lips over his teeth in an attempt to keep from laughing, though you were pleased that the furrowing of his brows and the fact that he was wringing the collar and lead between his hands let you know he was at least somewhat contrite. âDo you have any idea how embarrassing that was for me?â
âUhm, I think it was a little bit more embarrassing for me, doll. The intake form asked if I was altered or not, which ultimately saw that attendant fondling my bollocks.â
âOh, and Iâm sure you hated that.â You spat as you turned on your heel, fighting against the smile that threatened to take over your face at Siriusâ bark of laughter.Â
âBaby, Iâm sorry. You know youâre the only one I like fondling my bollocks.â He laughed as he jogged to catch up to you.
âYeah well, it wonât be happening any time soon, I can tell you that much for free.âÂ
âOh come now.âÂ
âWhat were you even doing!?â You asked then, stopping in the spot and nearly causing Sirius to collide with you.Â
âI may have said something to James, Remus, and Pete about how stags love Padfoot, and they argued that Prongs didnât exactly count as a stag, so I wanted to prove them wrong.â
âThey dared you, didnât they?â You surmised, hearing Siriusâ half truth for what it was.
âIt wasnât so much of a dare as it was a scientific experiment-â
âSirius.â
âOkay! Okay, yes, they dared me. So, I figured Iâd head over to Richmond Park and befriend myself a stag. I would have, too! If that fuckinâ auror hadnât gone and foiled my plan.â
âTheyâre called officers, Sirius.â You corrected darkly. âYou were caught by muggle officers.âÂ
âWhy do you think you had to pick me up!?â Sirius exclaimed then. âI couldnât very well turn back into myself and explain the situation away. And you know Iâm pants at obliviation.âÂ
âShame.â you huffed as you carried on towards Gringotts. âI was hoping you could obliviate this entire memory for me.â
âI would, too. Better than being stuck in the dog house.â Sirius muttered, though you could hear the smile in his voice. âWhere are we going?â
âThe bank.â
âWhy?âÂ
You halted in your quest again, this time causing Sirius to trip in his attempt to avoid slamming into you. âYou owe me - I had to bail you out, Sirius! They charged me fines; I have a record now.âÂ
âCompletely fair, doll. Iâll be right back.â He agreed, pressing a kiss to your cheek that had you pretending to shove him away before he started towards the bank.Â
âAnd take out enough to buy yourself a collar and a tag with my contact information on it!â You shouted, pausing before you added âAnd enough for ice cream!â
âConsider it done, babe. Anything else?â
âYeah,â you called as you started walking towards Flourish and Blotts, âyouâre getting microchipped.â
You didnât need to turn around to know that Sirius was looking at you quizzically. âWhatâs a microchip?â He called as you kept walking. âBabe? Oi, babe! Whatâs a microchip!?â

âWhatâs got your knickers in a twist?â James smirks as you stomp down the stairs of the common room and collapse into the couch.
A loud sigh escapes you as you throw your head back dramatically. âMaryâs just gone out with her new boyfriend!â
âSo?â
âLily and Marls arenât here either,â you pout, turning your head to face him on the other end of the sofa. âWhoâs gonna paint my nails for me?â
Sirius grins at you from where his head rests on Jamesâ lap, feet pressing into the side of your thigh. âDonât you worry, babe. Moony is so ready to help you with it.â
Remus looks up from his book, a crease between his eyebrows and pink dusting his cheeks. âNo, Iâm not.â
He regrets saying the words as soon as he sees the smile leave your face. You turn to him, looking as though you were a puppy heâd just kicked to the curb. âYouâre not?â
Your soft voice seems to have cast a spell on him, weaving its way into his heart and pulling words out his lips before he even had time to think.Â
âI â I mean, I am. Of course I am. Iâd love to paint your nails for you,â he blurts out immediately, words stumbling over one another. His cheeks turn a shade of red only you seem to be colourblind to, the heat rushing to the tips of his ears.
Your face lights up with a beam, and he knows in that moment that heâd do anything to make sure that smile never left your lips.
You move to sit in front of him on the ground, soft knees bumping against his torn, tattered ones. A slight wave of embarrassment comes over him, immediately leaving to make way for butterflies when you casually flatten your palm on his thigh to balance yourself.
He makes a fold in the corner of the page before setting his book aside. You hand him a bottle of nail polish, pulling your knees up to your chest as you get comfy on the plush rug.
âDo you like the colour?â you ask hopefully as his eyebrows scrunch up in concentration, preoccupied with twisting the cap open. âItâs brown with golden sparkles, just like your eyes, you know?â
âHuh?â he looks up at you dazedly and abandons his efforts of opening the bottle, feeling his heart stop.
âYeah,â you smile casually, like you hadnât just told him that you chose to paint your nails the colour of his eyes. âYouâve got these really deep, dark brown eyes, and in the sunlight theyâve got pretty golden flecks. I think it makes you look quite like an angel.â
Thereâs a loud whistle instantaneously audible from the other side of the room just as Remus murmurs a soft, âOh.â He didnât think he could like you any more than he already did. But you had just told him he resembled an angel, in that honeyed voice with those bright eyes â who could blame him for falling into the abyss of love?
It had always been difficult for Remus to see you as just a friend, someone on the same level of familiarity as Sirius or James. Because truth be told, he would let you do to him whatever you pleased â yet he wouldnât trust the boys around him even in his sleep. But these days it was downright impossible not to feel his heart throb for you, like his body was hardwired to love you. Like it was fated for him to fall for you.
He tears his eyes away from you to find the source of the repeated, screechy cheers with a look that could shoot daggers.
Sirius had his fingers to his mouth, wearing a grin and a pair of wiggling eyebrows. âWay to go, Y/N!â he cheered as he nudged his best friend, who was clapping as though heâd just witnessed a circus.
âWill you shut up? James, get him to shut up,â Remus hisses with no real venom in his voice, glaring at the pair who were now making kissy faces and lewd smooching sounds.
He turns back toward you to find your pretty face dampened by a small frown. Youâre eyeing your friends suspiciously, bottom lip pulled between your teeth.Â
âWhatâs going on? Are you guys okay?â
âAre we okay?â James snorts, like you just said something blatantly hilarious. âYou should be asking Moony that, sweetpea.â
As you open your mouth to argue that Remus was, in fact, perfectly fine, you feel slender fingers tugging gently on your own.Â
You turn to your right to find the scarred boy staring down at the carpet with an almost perplexed look on his face, like there was a burden resting on the tip of his tongue but he was trying to swallow it down. He clears his throat once and lifts his gaze to Sirius and James, who immediately quieten at the burn of his glare.
You open your mouth to question Remus but he beats you to it, turning toward you expectantly. The look in his eyes softens into something more delicate, something reserved just for you.
âActually,â he swallows as he unconsciously begins to drum his fingers on your wrist, âThereâs something Iâve been meaning to tell you.â
You arch an eyebrow, head tilted adorably in confusion. âOkay, what is it?â
He sucks in a shallow breath.
âYouâre not gonna like it.â
âJust spit it out, Rem.â
Remus blows out a wisp of air, heart feeling close to explosion â from nerves or affection, he couldnât be sure. âFine, IâŚâ He sighs and purses his lips, running a hand through his curls haphazardly.Â
You couldnât help but think that Sirius and James were being astoundingly quiet, big eyes unashamedly staring from where they were perched on the edge of the couch.
âRemus,â you mutter impatiently. âIf you donât say it right now, Iâll ââ
âOkay! Okay, okay,â he mutters, hands going up in surrender as his eyes dart to the ground. âI⌠I like you.â
You blink. âAndâŚ?â
âNo, like ââ he runs a hand down his face frustratedly, which was getting pinker by the second. âI like you, you know? Like not just like, but like like, like ââ
âRemus,â you breathe softly, cutting him off. He looks up to find you smiling. Really smiling, like one of those beams which could light up the whole town. His heart was going to explode, and it was all your fault.
âYeah?â he whispers back before he could stop himself, sucking in a shaky breath.
âMe too,â your smile widens. It feels like you just lifted the world off his shoulders and kissed his worries away. âI like you too. A lot, actually.â
Like theyâd been summoned, your friends begin to shriek raucously until you flip them off and mouth at them to zip their mouths. If they noticed how the smile on your lips never faded, they werenât going to say anything about it.
Remus grins almost smugly, but his shyness is still obvious in the way his mouth forms several different shapes before he settles on, âLet me take you out to coffee,â like you hadnât gone out together a million other times before.
You pretended to think about it, but eventually agreed. Remus felt like the luckiest man in the world.
He felt even luckier when he held your hand up to his face to compare the colour of your nails to that of his eyes, and you leaned in to sneak a kiss to his cheek.
