*I sit down in front of you and takes your hands in mine and pull you gently closer into a warm embrace, cooing you*

”I’m so sorry… I’m so so so sorry… I didn’t mean to trigger you… I’m so sorry… So sorry…” I whisper into your hair, scratching your back slowly up and down with the tip of my claws

"Trigger? Wh- what do you mean?" He asks, holding onto you tightly- though still with enough of his wits about him to make sure he doesn't hurt you.

It takes him a few moments to gain his composure, holding onto you to ground himself as he steadys his breathing.

He pulls away slowly, clearly shaken up by what's just happened.

"That was- hells, I can't remember such a thing happening to me. Not since..." Halsin thinks back to when exactly he's ever felt this, realisation dawning on him as he remembers. "Since the Drow..."

He sits up and clears his throat, struggling to find words for a moment before he speaks. "I apologise for that, my friend. I didn't think such a thing would affect me like that, I truly did not mean to make you uncomfortable."

He laughs nervously before adding. "I suppose there are some things I still need to work through- I had thought my past to be long behind me. I am sorry that it took just now for me to realise it. Had I known sooner, I am sure all of this could have been avoided."
