happy holidays!! I would love to hear about the magical girl outfits of the affinity cast if you'd like to talk about any of their designs !

HI!!! happy holidays!! sorry im getting to this so late, i had to actually get colored examples of all the kids in their magical outfits LOL (HOWEVER everett will not be included in this list simply because he does not yet have a finished character sheet AND i need to redesign his magical outfit)

so, we'll start with our leader and protagonist, Sinie!

her color is white. i dont see very many "white" themed leaders in mg genres, so i wanted her to be represented by the color of innocence and purity because that is what sinie represents. she's definitely my usagi, my steven, my luz.

for her design, i wanted something simple yet fluffy to show her childish nature. i have thought about powerup versions of their outfits, but im not sure how to incorporate it yet so i havent even began to think about their designs haha

next we have agitha! her outfit actually resembles pajamas, her dress is like a victorian nightgown and shes got the little shawl to go with it. everything is so soft anf pastel it just feels like a comfy outfit. this wasnt intentional, but i think it fits with her powers since her magic is centered around dreams.

she's the purple magical girl! though, its a little more pastel than what we usually see i think.

csilla is blue!! i adjusted some of her colors from the first colored design i had. it felt a little too plain being all one color haha. but she sort of looks like a knight and, again it wasnt intentional, but if im thinking about it she rly is the knight sort of character. she fights to protect her friends and herself, but she also is righteous and is a good strategist.

so daren was OBVIOUSLY red in my mind because hes the tank, the muscle, and also another good strategist. his fighting style is more hands on since he uses his fists and legs and so i thought fire would fit to be his power. i have a lot of cool ideas for his fighting style i just rly need to study shounen manga to get them down hahaha

i wanted their design to be androgynous while still being magical girl esque, so i gave him the tall heeled boots however still keeping a sort of sleek, form fitting silhouette. added some more traditionally feminine aspects of clothing like the puffed sleeves, however put in some classic masculine elements such as the tailcoat and pants. im very proud of his design!

elise is pink! of course!! (sinie is jealous) she has the power to purify dark energy. very classic magical girl!

i wanted her design to be big and poofy and girly. but also with the boob window because.....idk its cute lolol

and lastly heather!! i didnt have it in me to do her character sheet atm but i rly wanted to answer this 😩😩 but luckily i had a colored example of her magical outfit!

she is green! very fitting for the pretty, elegant, smart heather. i wanted her design to be faithful to her faith, but still have the feminine magical girl aesthetic! i think she looks very pretty hehe

Ok but Dead Fast: Night of the Living (2002) has no business being considered the worst Dead Fast movie when the MCU (Murder Cinematic Universe) not only retconned his origin story to make him a virus zombie rather than a curse zombie (which throws off his entire arc about being something more than his deeds!) AND made him be allied with B.L.I.G.H.T. of all organizations because Like say what you will about NOTL and the forced heterosexual romantic plot but at least 1) it gets what makes Dead Fast a hero and 2) GIVES HIS LOVE INTEREST A PERSONALITY AND SOMETHING TO DO

No matter how long or early we get married as long as we end up with the right one.

Salah satu bentuk neraka dalam hidup adalah salah memilih pasangan.

Nggak ada orang yang mati hanya karena belum menikah, namun banyak sekali yang harus merenggang nyawa hanya karena menikah dengan orang yang salah.

Persoalan tentang pilihan mana yang lebih baik antara menikah lebih cepat & menikah lebih lama agaknya sudah menjadi hal yang terlalu basi untuk diperdebatkan. Namun karena pernikahan juga merupakan salah satu hal yang tidak bisa dihilangkan dalam kehidupan seseorang, membuat kita mau gak mau juga harus mempersiapkan diri sebaik mungkin dengan menjadi lebih aware tentang pernikahan.

Sehingga yang menjadi masalah bukanlah seberapa cepat atau seberapa lambat kelak kita akan menikah, namun seberapa kenal kita dengan diri kita sendiri, seberapa siap kita dengan segala resiko yang akan kita jalani, dan seberapa yakin kita dengan pilihan yang kita ambil. Karena jika itu semua sudah kita perjelas, kita akan dengan mudah menentukan orang seperti apa yang kita butuhkan alih-alih inginkan untuk menjadi pasangan kita kelak.

Pernikahan bukanlah salah satu trophy kita dalam hidup. Sehingga cepat atau lama kita memperolehnya menentukan seberapa bernilai diri kita. Meskipun tidak bisa juga kita pungkiri bahwa keberhasilan sebuah pernikahan yang kita miliki dan menemukan orang yang tepat sebagai pasangan adalah salah satu bentuk privelege yang nggak semua orang miliki.

Menjalani pernikahan ibaratnya memilih sebuah permasalahan yang bersedia kita terima seumur hidup. Memilih pasangan ibaratnya pula kita memilih seseorang yang akan menemani kita menghadapi banyak peperangan bersama.

Allah menyebutkan tujuan pernikahan dalam surah Ar-Rum ayat (30:21):

"Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah Dia menciptakan untukmu istri-istri dari jenismu sendiri, supaya kamu cenderung dan merasa tenteram kepadanya, dan dijadikan-Nya di antaramu rasa kasih dan sayang. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang berpikir."

Jangan menikahi seseorang hanya karena kita mencintainya. Namun menikahlah dengan seseorang yang dengannya kita merasa tentram. Bersama dengannya kita memperoleh ketenangan. Karena banyak orang yang menikah karena cinta, namun ketenangan dalam rumah tangga tidak mereka temukan di dalamnya.

Di hidup yang singkat dan berat untuk dijalani sendirian ini, semoga kelak kita saling dipertemukan dengan sebaik-baik pasangan, dan diri kita bisa menjadi sebaik-baik jawaban dari doa seseorang.

I have one essay report and a big work project left and I'll be stress-free...for like a week before classes start again. Instead of finishing those last responsibilities, I've been putting Cell Block Tango on repeat because Youtube algorithm decided I needed scary hot women murderers...and it's not wrong.

The product of that procrastination is now an AU of my Villain/ess AU, where the villain/ess!readers still ended up being villains. An AU-ception

I will start on my writing list eventually. This was just a stress relief

One villain/ess!reader doesn't get a verse cuz someone's gotta be Roxie. Also, I don't know Hungarian so I used my native language (which may also suck since I haven't practiced in years).

Random 2ha thoughts as I read vol 3.

Like y’all, I knew this story was going to hurt from volume 1. But wow, no. This story actually cuts far deeper than I expected. So now I’m gonna scream into the void because I actually can’t contain my thoughts on the story any longer..lol.

My heart hurts for both our MC’s. Mo Ran has displaced so much of his anger, loneliness, and rejection on to Chu Wanning. I see him as a man who was dealt a lot of hurt and unfairness during his formative years, and at least during his first go around at life, was attempting to find “reason/and control” within in it all.

With Chu Wanning, I see an almost saccharine sweet and overtly idealistic man. One who despite the negative preconceived notions of others, or the loneliness that accompanies his fixed nature, continues to uphold his sense of righteousness even if his subsequent behaviors read as cruel.

The misunderstandings between these two, hurt so bad for me thus far in the story, because I feel like their original wounds precluded them from realizing they could have found solace within one another from the start.

Mo Ran sought justice in an intrinsically unjust world (and eventually retribution because of that fact) and Chu Wanning desired to uphold justice at any cost, despite the isolation it caused him.

So yeah, those are my current ruminations. If I ever muster more motivation, I’d love to explore my thoughts on how HEALING it must of been for Mo Ran and “Xia Sini” to relate to/bond with one another.

i have this idea of what if sinie and csilla like fused their crystals...this may present a sort of plot hole by atheria not being able to form again but its a sort of steven universe thing when her soul was split. so maybe they can combine their soul bonded gem together to make it whole again and gain Ultimate Magical Girl Powers.
