I love discussions around their dlcs I wish people would genuinely talk more about itz going into depth into the themes of the dlcs and how they affect Derek and Baxter as characters, but then again I'm someone who loves analyzing the media they consume so djdkdkjd. General discussions about these things drive me crazy (I think is worth mentioning that I'm autistic so djdkdk)

With how i played the the dlcs over all me and my friend Lo (@/oiulse) would choose which boy to play the dlc and stream it on call, so Lo picked Baxter and i took Derek, it was really funny cause casual constantly played in our heads during the Baxter dlc (bless lo btw for gifting me both dlcs labyu oomf 🫰)

When i played the first moment from dereks dlc my voice started like acting up from how long THAT specific moment was, maybe its just me but the first moment in particular felt really long, I get it though its the first time ur meeting the suarez family and in no way did i NOT enjoy it, but there were indeed moments where im like DAMN ITS STILL NOT OVER cause of how tired my voice was getting LMFAO, all the other moments were rlly fun my favorite one from the dlc was where u hang out with liz on daddy day and there was an option to gift a card to cliff 🥹, his step 4 was also a bunch of fun i loved the family bonding get to do with the suarez brothers (u can just tell that i love family aus) and getting to hang out with derek made me love him more as a chr, HIS STEP 4 VOICE IS STILL A JUMPSCARE TO ME FROM HOW DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT IT IS (no hate to the va btw) STILL VERY FUNNY THOUGH HAHAHA, i made it so that Derek, kori and cove get to be neighbors before the both of them get married so now they hang out LOTS

With THE Baxter FUCKING Alexander Ward

I heard from another friend that the baxter's dlc was gonna be angsty and i was like oh hell fuckin yeah i love angst! AND THERE CERTAINLY WAS ANGST ILL TELL U THAT MUCH, since i was watching lo play through the Baxter dlc i will admit there were a few times where i spaced out cause ANOTHER fun fact, we played the dlcs like really late on my timezone so i was either drawing while Lo was playing or i was in the brink of conking the fuck out, i was able to know what was going on overall i think the ONLY moment i like fully spaced out on was when the mc and baxter were like out drinking or smth and there was this entire thing with the bartender and the singer, that specific scene in particular i was fully focusing on smth else and it wasnt till later that when i played the baxter dlc for myself that i knew what was finally going on, since me and lo have our castaways au to think abt while playing these dlcs we were building aus upon aus of what lo's mc would do when meeting with baxter again after 5 years its fun lo has never been the same since and neither have i, the angst was good soup and i can see why baxter's dlc was more expensive than derek's LMFAO

But ironically enough the dlc that made me cry was DEREKS DLC,,, that moment on the step 4 epilogue with the brothers having a heart to heart is going to be MY ROMAN EMPIRE, I FUCKING LOVE FAMILIES BRO GAUGHHHH

✧ ˚ 　· 　　 . you find yourself in the throes of heat, clueless as to what's happening to you, with your mother flipping out. enter billy hargrove rushing in to the rescue.. it's only right to thank him with a makeout in the Camaro, right? ✧ ˚ 　· 　　 .

When heat fever hits an Omega, it’s hard and it’s fast. When it hit you, thanks to being blissfully unaware of the whole Alpha/Omega and werewolves do exist and everything that goes along with, you’re blind-sided.

First it’s the unbearable body heat. It feels like you’re sitting in a volcano’s lava stream and someone’s siphoned out all your blood, replacing it with scorching lava. This, of course, was put down to a cold. Maybe a bug that’s gone around a time or two already this month. Either way, you plopped yourself in an icy bath because you’re determined already, nothing is going to spoil your plans for the night.

Then it’s the jittery shakes. As you’re trying to fix your hair and do your makeup to get ready to go, the shakes hit and it’s so bad that you smear cherry colored lipstick outside the outline of your lips. And you have to re-do your mascara at least three times, by the time you get the shakes to subside just a little, you’re into the third phase.

Your entire body tenses. Everything, from your gums to the soles of your feet hurt. It feels like you’re being pricked with a thousand tiny needles and stabbed by a million little knives. This happens at the dinner table, because of course it does.

But then there’s a sharp sting. You drop the fork in your hand and clutch your opposite wrist against your body. Your mother is looking on in concern. Fear making her eyes wide.

And since she’s been drinking for about three hours by this point, the accusations start to flow. Instead of motherly concern, you get accused of being a little slut with some big, strong Alpha boy all day. She even threatens to call the school and make sure you were there all day long.

❝ Gee thanks, ma..❞ you sass, ❝ I feel like I’m dying and you blame it on your weird hangups about sex and boys..❞ you roll your eyes as your mother paces the dining room, a hand in her hair, mumbling about how this wasn’t supposed to happen to you, this gene was supposed to be completely out of the family line by now.

❝ When you’re done being weird, I’m getting dressed to go out with Bethy and Sean. I promised I’d take them trick or treating before my movie.. Since you can’t seem to find it in yourself to be a normal mom just one night..❞ you rush out of the dining room to go upstairs and throw on a pair of jeans.

You’re halfway up the stairs when your mother catches up to you, pushing you into your own bedroom at the top of the stairs as she locks the door from the outside and tells you that it’s for your own good. ❝ I'll not have you become a sex-addicted wolf whore. Not in this house.❞ she calls through, ❝ You'll stay in here until you learn to ignore these sinful urges.❞

You spend about two and a half hours pounding on the door until you're too exhausted to continue. ❝ Please, ma. Please open the door, I'll be good, I swear.❞ your voice dies away and you flop down onto your bed, taking several shaky breaths as you stare up at the ceiling.

You pull yourself up from where you'd flopped onto your bed about thirty minutes later and take a few shaky breaths. Your heart is still pounding, this is the first time your mother has resorted to locking you in your bedroom since you were at least 10. It feels like the walls are closing in rapidly until you hear the sound of your younger siblings laughter down below because your bedroom window isn't fully closed.

As soon as you realize you left the window cracked, you start to work at it. And it’s hard because it’s an older window, it likes to stick for absolutely no reason. As you’re doing this, you hear a lone howl.

It’s coming from the thick treeline across your backyard. You turn your attention back to what you’re doing. It wouldn’t be a surprise or anything, you do live near a forest, there are animals in said forest.

That’s the only thing today that’s had a logical explanation. - the thought comes along with another round of searing heat, this time it’s so hot to your body that you’re dizzy. Your mouth is dry.

Then the howl echoes off the night all over again. It’s getting closer.

You pump your fist in victory as you manage to raise the window to your bedroom about halfway. It’s enough for you to fit yourself through. The movie you were  supposed to be meeting your friends to see in town is long forgotten by this point, you’re more focused on not becoming Carrie White to your mother’s Margaret.

You’re about halfway out the window when you hear your name being hissed from the ground below.

It’s Billy.

He’s leaned against the trunk of the tree that houses your little sister’s tire swing. Watching you. ❝ You’re gonna break your fuckin’ neck.❞

❝ It’s better than being here when my mom gets in with the siblings.❞ you hiss, frantic. You drop from your window to the roof of the front porch just now. Billy’s on autopilot. Nothing on his mind but getting here, to you.

❝ Give me a second, goddamn..❞ he crushes out the cigarette he’s half finished with and hurries over, stopping at the side of the wrap-around porch.

To any of the neighbors, this probably just looks like a teenage girl sneaking out to meet her boyfriend. To you, it’s a full-blown panic because your mother flipped out for no good reason earlier.

❝ Jump down. I gotcha.❞ Billy knows this is a terrible idea, if he wants to sever the connection completely, this is the last place he needs to be right now, but.. He’s been bombarded by everything about you and when he could feel you panic all the way across town, he fought like hell but it was a battle he lost, sneaking away from Tina’s stupid party and rushing here. To you.

You eye him warily. Swallowing hard as you squeeze your eyes shut and jump. Strong arms are waiting, there’s never even a split second where it feels as if he’ll drop you. It doesn’t surprise you, you’ve seen him lifting weights in the gym after school. He can lift more than almost all the other boys without even breaking a sweat.

❝ Hey, whoa..❞ you realize what’s going on, the fact that somehow, Billy Hargrove knows exactly where you live without ever asking. You look at him and he grumbles. ❝ What? Is this not what you just spent twenty minutes wishing for, doll? We don’t have time t’ talk right now, alright?❞

And there’s something urgent. Something wild in baby blue eyes. It’s almost as if he doesn’t want to be here himself, that he’s here against his own free will. Like he’s not in control of his own decisions.

And you’re not sure why, but your last visit to your grandma at the state home your mother shoved her into, that all comes rushing back. She kept talking about how ‘things aren’t always what they seem to be.’.. Then she started to tell you about your family bloodline being descended from a pack of Omegas… Female werewolves.

What any of it had to do with your latest argument with your mother, you weren’t sure at the time.

But so much of what your beloved grandmother said that day has actually happened since. And she’s always just kind of… known things.

Your mother says she’s crazy, that it’s dementia or something. But given the way your day has been going, you’re starting to wonder.

As you’re cycling through the whole thing in your mind, Billy’s made it to his idling Camaro a block away and he’s opening the passenger door, placing you in the passenger seat. From the backseat, a girl with flame-colored hair speaks up quietly. 

❝ Hey.. I’m Max..❞

You nod. Give her a weak smile. Because the whole episode you were having earlier took a lot out of you and when you jumped down into Billy’s arms a few minutes ago, you were half afraid you wouldn’t make it because your whole body felt boneless. Like rubber or jello.

Billy gets into the Camaro and stomps the gas, the sound of Metallica filling in the thick silence that settles over the three of you. As the Camaro blows past the sign heading into city limits, Billy reaches out to lower the radio.

❝ For fucks sake, stay awake, alright?❞ as he grumbles to himself about this being a really, really bad idea and how he should’ve just ignored what he was hearing -and feeling because of it, because it’s only going to end in tragedy.

Max speaks up quietly. ❝ You don’t have to become him, Billy. How do you know any of that?❞

❝ Because I do, alright!❞ Billy snaps before going quiet. The car spins to a stop at the curb in front of the arcade. Billy nods to Max and Max wordlessly collects her skateboard, rushing out of the car as if hellhounds were on her tail.

This leaves you all alone with Billy.

The boy who has been a constant in your brain lately. The boy who scares you and yet, you feel connected to somehow. The boy you want more than anything but the fact that you want him actually sort of terrifies you.

The Camaro starts to drive away. By the time you’ve managed to totally overthink everything, the Hawkins sign is blowing past all over again. You glance over at him. Studying strong facial features as he drives and makes a point to stare at the road ahead.

You can’t take the silence anymore and you’re just about to say something but Billy beats you to it first. ❝ You don’t have a clue what’s happenin, do ya, doll?❞

You shake your head No at him. He grumbles under his breath as he brings the Camaro to a stop in the gravel parking lot out at the quarry. When Lover’s Lake is too full, this is another popular makeout spot, or so you’ve heard, anyway.

You wouldn’t know personally, the most you’ve ever done with a boy is a little kissing, a lot of heavy petting in the back row at the Hawk. And then your mother fucked all that up by throwing a tantrum when he forgot you warned against stopping by and she lost her entire mind upon answering the door to find said boy standing on your porch. He wouldn’t even look at you the next day and when word got out that your mom was a nutcase, it wasn’t as if any of the boys were lining up after that.

Your heart is racing. Of all the places to take me, you think to yourself, he picks a popular makeout spot. What’s he planning?

Billy coughs abruptly as soon as he catches on to your noisy mind yet again today and this time, he speaks up. ❝ Do y’ have t’ think so damn loud, darling?❞

You jump a little, drawn out of your own noisy thoughts. You give him a blank look and Billy shrugs but he doesn’t bother explaining himself, instead he chooses to remind you that he’s asked you a question. And it’s a question he expects an answer to because that answer is going to help him figure out how in the hell to handle this little situation the two of you find yourselves in at present.

❝ I asked you something, doll. Kinda waitin’ on an answer.❞

He stares at you expectantly as you shift and squirm in his passenger seat, each move of your sexy little body sends that totally unfiltered sweetness in your scent wafting right up his nose. It’s hanging so heavy in the air between you both that he almost feels like he’ll choke on it. And yet, he can’t get enough of it and the sweeter it gets, the harder his cock gets, pushing painfully against the front of tight blue jeans.

It’s so bad that he has to shift in his seat and hope that takes away some of the pressure. When it doesn’t work, he lightly punches the wheel.

You watch him struggling with himself quietly as you try to think of an answer. You don’t have the first clue what’s going on. Beyond the episode earlier and just a few bits and pieces of the ramblings of an old lady with bad dementia, you’re fucked for an answer.

❝ No. Not a single clue.. But my grandma, she kept talking about something big happening to me.. The last time I visited her in the nursing home.❞ you go quiet. Billy rubs his chin thoughtfully. 

At least somebody tried to warn you. Now, he thinks to himself, I need to figure out just how much her grandmother told her, if she believes any of it. ❝ Okay, what’d she tell you?❞ he asks, baby blue eyes settling on you. When you lock eyes with him and see the way his seem to glow in the dim car, you gasp and your jaw drops. Billy acts as if the fact that his eyes glow in the dark is completely and totally normal. 

❝ She kept trying to tell me that I’m the descendant of wolves? And soon, something is gonna happen to me. I think she called it..❞ you fumble around in your brain for the term she used and as you repeat it back to Billy, your whole body starts to burn all over again. ❝ Mating season. Yeah, that’s what she said. But she’s got dementia and she’s always had this weird fixation on wolves and stuff, so..❞ you shrug and fall silent, staring out the windshield of the car.

The orange sunset is starting to fade, the sky is painted with shades of pinks and purples now, hints of a darker inky blue peeking out of the clouds that surround the full moon. Billy’s staring up at the sky too, trying to figure out how to proceed. When he sees you clutch your right wrist against your own body, he reaches out, snatching your arm and pulling it so that he can look.

The second he raises your sleeve, he bites back a groan.

The same marking he saw turning red in the shower this morning is sitting on your wrist, flesh raised and red, angry as if it’s a fresh burn. He bites his bottom lip and when you pull your wrist away, he almost wants to hold onto it for a few seconds.

Just because he’s in the same position as you are right now, body on fire, mind scrambled and jumbled with the biggest portion of your thoughts focused on each other.. In varying sexual situations, he shifts in his seat as he remembers the daydream you were having earlier this morning that he was forced to endure as he sat beside you.

You circle back to his bizarre statement about you thinking too loud. And you’re gaping at him. ❝ When you yelled at me about thinking too loud..❞ you pause as you try to tell yourself this all absolutely has to be some kind of weird fever dream, that’s the only explanation at this point.

Because the only alternative is that your grandmother isn’t crazy like your mother claims. And if that’s the case then that means everything she’s been saying for years about the family bloodline is.. True.

Billy speaks up quietly, ❝ I wasn’t yelling, but anyway.. What about it, doll?❞

❝ You did yell.❞ you’re pouting just a little. Billy snorts in laughter quietly. And then he clears his throat. All he wants to do at this point is get to the bottom of it all. Figure out just how hard it’s going to be to sever this stupid bond his wolf has chosen to make on his behalf without any consent from him at all. You’re picking at a loose thread on the edge of your sleeve and staring down at your own lap intently. Because this is a lot for you to take in.

Not to mention, the longer you’re surrounded by him and his everything, the more you’re tempted to lay down and offer yourself up to him in the backseat of his Camaro. And you sense that this isn’t exactly what he wants. That for whatever reason, he dreads this. He’s been fighting it, if his own noisy thoughts are anything to go by. Then it hits you.. You’ve been thinking you heard him talking to you randomly all day but if he can hear you thinking it’d make sense that the same can be said for you.. Right?

❝ Fine, whatever. Look, can we just get back on fuckin track here?❞ Billy asks as he takes a cigarette and lights it up. He offers you the pack and you take one for yourself. He leans into you and naturally, it’s way too close. Close enough that the tips of your noses brush and when this happens, that woozy feeling is back. And so is the searing fire that’s been running through your veins all night.

You sway just a little and swallow down a lump because your throat’s all dry and it’s bothering you. Billy speaks up quietly. ❝ Shit. Fuck. I was hopin’ this wouldn’t fuckin happen, darling..❞ as he shifts in his seat all over again and stares at you.

He’s losing this fight too, all restraint has flown right out the window with the dying embers of the cigarette he’s just finished off. You bite back a whine as you feel yourself starting to spin out of control and you find yourself leaning into him just a little too close for the second time in a day, just like you were in class earlier.

Billy grips your upper arms and stares into your eyes. He hasn’t even touched you and there’s this fucked-out glow in them, lust blotting out your irises. He knows you’re dripping by now, this has him almost drooling because the scent of you is entirely too sweet to resist a second longer. 

You speak up, a tiny and wavering voice. ❝ You were hoping what wouldn’t happen, hm?❞

He chuckles. It’s a dark and dangerous sound. Rather than be completely crass about it, he grabs hold of your wrist and places your palm up against the way his cock is so hard it’s about to burst straight through his jeans. You shiver and whine because feeling how hard he is only makes the flood between your own thighs so much worse. You’ve been wet all day, no thanks to him.

❝ Do you get it now, doll? I shouldn’t be here with you right now.❞ Billy trails off, thumping his cigarette pack against the wheel just so that he has something else to focus on for a second or two. After a long pause, he looks over at you again. You’re staring at him, waiting on him to finish saying what he’d been about to say. ❝ It’s dangerous for both of us, alright?❞

This answer isn’t satisfying enough for you. ❝ Wait.. w-what do you mean dangerous, Billy?❞ your voice wavers. He can smell the fear the exact second it creeps into your scent. He sighs and shakes his head. Mumbles something about you, asking for it with all your fucking questions and then he looks at you and leans in closer. That predatory and hungry gleam is in his eyes again and they’re glowing an even brighter blue that’s almost as hypnotic as the waves in an ocean on a calm day.

❝ I wanna fuck you til I’m empty, you're so full of me it drips outta you and you can’t remember anybody else’s name but mine. I wanna bite that pretty little neck, leave my mark behind so shit like what Jason Carver tried t’ pull earlier doesn’t happen t’ you again. But see, here’s the thing..❞ he rubs his forehead. He’s regretting the keg stands right now. And the entire bottle of Wild Turkey he managed to consume just hoping he’d numb himself enough that he wouldn’t hear you anymore in his head. He wouldn’t smell you, ready and waiting. Ripe for the picking.

And you’re wondering where he gets that idea from to start with. Because the more you stop and think about it, the only thing that’s kept you fighting your own pull to him has been every bullshit belief your mother drilled into your own head.

To be fair.. Grandma said Mom wanted no part of any of it when she was my age. Said she even turned her back on the whole thing and purposely got knocked up with me then left town. She was hoping she’d breed out the family bloodline. That worked so well, thanks Ma. - the thought has you sitting there, slowly coming to terms with it all.

And maybe that’s what prompts you to speak up, placing a hand on his thigh as you stare at him intently. ❝ Why? Are you not even a little curious, Billy?❞ you’re leaning in closer and you’re not sure why you do it, but you push your hair away from the right side of your neck. Billy rubs his chin and coughs, shifting around in his seat all over again. Offering up your neck to him like this is definitely not a smart move on your part and yet.. Here you are, doing it.

❝ You’re in heat, you’re not thinkin, doll.❞

❝ Oh trust me, Billy.. This is the first thing I’ve actually thought out completely in a really long time. Don’t I get a say in what I want?❞ you frown just a little, ask in a quieter tone, ❝ Somebody’s gotta take care of you, Billy. And maybe all the fighting this off I’ve been doing is just tiresome.. Unless you’re trying to say you don’t want this to happen and you’re the one who wants to reject it.❞ you pause, searching baby blue eyes for any sign that might be the case.

Billy chuckles to himself and decides that he’s about to call your bluff. He leans into you and just barely drags his teeth over the soft skin at the base of your neck. His nose buries there next and he inhales deep. ❝ It’s kinda fucked up, y’know.. You pickin me. Don’t you know how scary I am, doll?❞ he mutters, breath hot against your skin. Your own breath hangs in your throat and you whine out as your hands find purchase in the fabric of his red shirt.

❝ All I know is that I trust you. And I want you and damn it, I’m sick and tired of fighting it, Billy..❞ you mutter as another intense wave of heat -pain along with it this time, sends you into him, seeking comfort.

Billy’s breath catches and he awkwardly wraps his arms around you, letting you melt into him completely. When he can feel you calming down a little, he pulls away to stare down at you.

And he knows he’s irrevocably fucked because there’s no way he was ever going to keep fighting it off. He was doomed to lose the fight all along. He doesn’t like losing but in this case, considering the prize he might have even if it’s just a little while before he somehow fucks it all up, he’s not really sure it’s a bad thing this time around.

❝ Careful what you’re askin for, princess. This is kind of permanent. Because I’m not gonna let you go so easy once I take you for myself, doll.❞

There’s supposed to be menace in his words, it’s supposed to be a threat and you’re well aware of it. But there’s also comfort in them. He’s protected you on more than one occasion. You feel safer with him than you’ve ever felt with anyone. There’s calm. You’re not chasing your next thrill when you’re all preoccupied with thoughts or dreams of him.

❝ I-I don’t care. It’s what I want, Billy. Are you seriously going to deny me? I thought you were a red-hot stud, Hargrove, what’s with the fight you’re putting up, hm?❞

He bites back a groan as your palm settles against the way he’s strained at his jeans all over again. When you ghost it over the bulge, he bucks himself up into you and a helpless, needy sound wrenches it’s way free from the depths of his chest. You’re whining quietly, you’ve given up the battle with restraint. You’re ignoring that pesky little inner voice that keeps insisting that he’s scary, that you’ve seen his mean streak at work before and you shouldn’t be doing this. You’re ignoring them in favor of the other side to it, the one that insists this is right. This is exactly what has to happen.

As your free hand clasps against the back of his neck and your fingers tangle in the curls of his mullet, his hand slips up the front of your shirt and you moan as he squeezes your tits and growls against your partially open mouth. ❝ You don’t have a clue what you’re getting yourself into, darling.❞ he mutters as his tongue parts your lips and drags over your own tongue. how are you downloading Ici tout commence?

First, I use a VPN to get a French IP (or Belgian--I'm not sure which they accept, I just know these two work) so I can access the network's streaming site, TF1+. You should be able to sign up for a free account without issue. This is the page for the season 4 eps:

Apparently there are always two eps in advance available for the premium subscribers but I'm not caught up plus I think it'd be a little harder to sign up for an actual paid account so I probably won't be able to do that.

So normally I would use youtube-dl/yt-dlp to download the eps but that won't work here, or at least not without some extra steps, because these are DRMed. This is where it gets a little tricky and the whole process isn't super well documented both because it changes a lot and it makes more sense to teach people to learn how to do it than how to do it and also because, well, the more these methods are spread, the more networks change things up and make things harder.

The whole forum is quite useful and I've only had to post for help a couple of times, mostly I just search my issue and read through.

That provided command in the second post, that's something to be used in your command line, on Windows in Start you can open that by typing in cmd or PowerShell or just google what you'll need for your computer.

These are the things you'll need to get to run the command:

N_m3u8DL-RE is a tool you can google and download, and also ffmpeg and mp4decrypt. You'll want them in the same folder for convenience. (I think you might need to install python too? If it says you do, then go ahead, lol.)

The way to get the key, this is the most gatekept part, probably. The various streamers out there use different methods of encryption and increasing security levels, and if you read up on it, you'll see stuff about kid and pssh and cdm and L3, it can be overwhelming, but in this case, the things you need are relatively easily accessible.

I'll tell you how to get the pssh and the license URL and you'll be able to use those to get the key. There are several tools you can use them on, one is public and easy, one is private but still easy-ish, and one is pretty complex and not a route I've gone down myself yet (it's the pinned thread in that particular forum). I don't want to link any of them myself, but I'll link to a thread that mentions the easy public one. It does go down at times which is why the hardcore people recommend that last method.

First, before you click on an ep, open up your browser's Developer Tools, usually Ctrl+Shift+i will do the trick. Go over to your Network tab, this shows all the requests your browser makes when you go to a site.

Then click on the episode in the actual browser. You'll see a flood of requests in the Network tab, filter on mpd.

Select the mpd result and the details for it show on the side, click on Preview. Scroll down until you see <!-- Widevine -->. A couple of lines below it, you'll see something like <cenc:pssh>AAA[a bunch of characters]</cenc:pssh>

Grab that whoooole part that starts with AAA, that's the pssh. Go to the Headers detail tab while you're there and grab the Request URL, this is the mpd link we're going to use later.

Now to get the license. Usually you can filter in your Devtools Network tab on license or, in this case, widevine. Since we're already on the Headers detail tab, grab this Request URL now, it should start with https://widevine-proxy-m.prod.p.tf1.fr/proxy?

Now go back to that easy public tool linked in that thread I linked, lol, and just fill in the PSSH and the License. Hit Send and you get a list of three keys at the bottom. I've always gone for the one in the middle and not bothered with all three, but you can try them all.

So at this point, you should be able to fully create and use the command in the first forum link above. If you read the documentation for N_m3u8DL-RE, there are various flags you can use, --save-name "Outputname" will let you name the output what you want, -sv best defaults to the best video quality, -sa best is best audio quality, and so on.

The way to get the subtitle is to turn on subtitles on the video player on the site and to go back to the DevTools box and filter on textstream. Grab the first request, the one that ends with =1000.dash and paste it into a new browser address, and change the .dash to .vtt. That's the subtitle. :) You can use the free tool Subtitle Edit to both convert it to srt, which will let most video players play it with your video, and there's also an Auto-translate option that lets you translate to English. It offers several ways but as I don't have a Google API, I just use the normal "slow" method, it's not that bad.

A second way to get the subtitle is to use the same command as when you're downloading the ep but remove the -M format=mp4 at the end, and instead add -ss 'id="textstream_fra=1000":for=all'

This was all figured out through a LOT of trial and error on my part so please do try your own best if you hit some issues, that's the best way to learn. Also, I just don't want to be the helpdesk on this, lol.

finished my latest out of pocket straight people soap opera of choice, "tasogare ryuuseigun."

the setup is that the average salaryman main character has a midlife crisis and goes on an impromptu european vacation where he coincidentally meets another japanese tourist and realizes she's basically his soulmate. and then even more coincidentally meets her again back home and they start the world's most awkward affair.

meanwhile his unfulfilled wife falls for their 20-something daughter's fiance who is like the milfhunter supreme and is putting the moves on her from the very first second they meet. but it's no real betrayal of the daughter bc SHE'S actually in love with her 60+ yr old college professor and is just marrying the younger guy to be practical / bc HIS mother is dying from cancer and wants to see him get married before she's gone.

so. y'know. normal hetero stuff.

the mom x daughter's fiance storyline was what dragged me into this bc i was like ok i Have to know how that shit pans out. and the answer is... honestly kinda cutely, all things considered.

any time i encounter middle aged woman/younger man in jdramas it always seems to be like. "e-ehh!? (blushes) but i'm an old lady..." as some alpha fuckboy kabedons her. which is. i mean i cannot begrudge the housewives who watch these shows their fantasies but it's simply not my thing, let's just say. so i did find this drama more enjoyable bc while it does feature a lot of the "e-ehh!?" the love interest here is very. different. i call him milfhunter supreme but he's so earnest and gentlemanly and like "you deserve the world, beautiful queen!!" about it. it's a little cringe but also sweet.

but it works on a compatibility level too since he comes across as such an old soul & is honestly kind of. intriguingly "feminine" in his interests & mannerisms. this is a guy who's into growing herbs & brewing tea as a hobby and goes to the movie theater in 2018 to see "an american in paris." genuinely difficult to imagine what he talks about with most people his own age. so him and the mom actually ending up together as a cute couple in the finale feels like. yeah. it's sensible. this seems like an age gap relationship built to last.

that being said i still struggle to call it hugely interesting - the mom is lacking in personality and they never really Talk about what's going on between them in the way you desperately want them to. & the other relationships here are mostly pretty whatever. (did get such a good laugh out of that elevator scene i posted about previously, though.)

that + the fact that the theme song is horrible and plays constantly + the fact that the subs are totally desynced from the video in half the eps if you watch it on a streaming site like i did (i did try to find the raws but no luck at this point)... hard to give this a recommendation. maybe if you really enjoy melodrama and you're on avistaz and are able to DL a properly timed version from there.

1. favorite fic you wrote this year

OKAY i'm not sure if all's well that ends counts as a fic for 2022 given that i speedwrote it in dec 2021 and just published it on new year's day, but if it does, definitely that one (it is probably tied with cause most of us are bitter for the favourite fic i've ever written...sometimes it's just a bit ahead of that one). as for something that was actually written in 2022 i would say sacred and dust (the rest of us) because the brainrot truly possessed me for that one, i really like how it's written and how characterisation is built through the prose and internal monologue, and i know statistics don't matter but i am so charmed that one of my most ""successful"" fics is a speculative found family angstfest centring on a character that has been in like three episodes of toh and a character that is 1. dead and 2. has never appeared in the show himself

Ah enemies to lovers my beloved...

How likely am I to write it: Honestly not very. As much as I love this trope, in order to do it justice I feel that I'd have to write it into a long-fic and at the moment I just don't have the time to take on another big project (it may not necessarily seem that way but I am currently working on a lot of stuff in the background). If I ever get the chance, I would definitely like to have a proper go at it though ;-;

What character/ pairing would I be most likely to write it for: This part is a little tricky as I think if you're working with a human reader and the canon DL boys then being enemies with them is just going to result in a very unpleasant fate. I think you could get away with it if you made the reader another demon but I don't have any interest in doing that in a long fic as it would involve creating more of a backstory for the reader than I usually like to.

All of that being said, I think I could get away with writing something set in canon if I wrote a Kino x Reader story in which the reader is an extremely good gamer who streams some of their playthroughs and keeps beating Kino in the leader boards on his favourite mobile games. Kino is decidedly irritated by this and becomes convinced that you must be cheating somehow, it's the only way you could beat him as anything other than a one off. He starts leaving rude comments on your videos, which you do not take kindly to and call him out for it on one of your socials.

This starts a bit of back and forth that involves several childish insults and Kino starts to consider you a nemesis of sorts—which is ridiculous because you're human so it's not like you're even on the same level as him. Anyway, he ends up being incredibly thrown off guard when he actually runs into you at an event where they're giving away game codes, to the point where he points at you with narrowed eyes and cries "you!"

You mistake him for some sort of fan, which Kino initially tries to refute before realising that if he plays along, he can ask to play something with you in person and either catch you cheating and post it for the whole internet to see or he can show you up by beating you. So he acts nice and convinces you to have a drink with him in a nearby café where he then lies and says he has a small gaming channel and how cool it would be to record a video where you play against each other. You, unaware that he's actually the bastard who's been trolling you, agree.

Kino sets his phone up to film the pair of you and then accepts your phone and selects one of his favourite apps. He knows the level he chooses like the back of his hand, and even beats his own high score. As he hands the phone back to you, you comment that he's really good at playing, to which he smugly agrees, although he's a little irked that you don't seem to be even slightly intimidated by the thought of trying to match his score.

You start the level and he watches with a keen eye to and try and catch you doing something to mess with the game but... you don't. You play it exactly as it was meant to be played and actually—you're really good at it?! Kino absolutely cannot believe it when you just manage to top his score. He's a vampire prince, there's no way you can actually be better than him. As tempting as it is to drain you dry right then and there, he can't because that's basically admitting that the only way he can beat you is by killing you off. So instead he challenges you to a rematch, but you refuse saying you have to run as you have somewhere to be. Before you leave, however, you tell him that it's been a long time since you had to put in that much effort to best someone and you give him your number in case he wants to play again some time.

Naturally Kino takes it and then spends days grinding away at a game that was just released so he can challenge you to a rematch that he's sure to win. You meet at that same café. He does not win.

This results in several more meet ups and finally, eventually, he finds an arcade game that he's able to beat you at. He laughs in your face and proceeds to mock you for a solid five minutes, which you take in good humour and just ask if he wants to play again.

Kino freezes for a moment. He's beaten you now, he's won so he doesn't have anything to prove anymore, and you're not Eve so it's not like you have anything that's going to benefit him in the long run. He thinks of going home and sitting in his room by himself as he plays through the event that's currently running on one of his current favourite games.

He agrees to the rematch with you instead.

That being said I think you could do a very funny Reiji x Reader grad student AU where for some reason incredibly petty reason you started off on the wrong foot when you were introduced to each other and your relationship has only gotten more antagonistic from there. You're both working on similar projects but have different ideas about the systems your working with which results in lots of petty bickering whenever the professor supervising the pair of you has his back turned.

Reiji also likes to nit-pick all of your lab techniques and so you start doing the same to him and the whole thing escalates to point where he 'accidentally' throws away one of your samples while he was 'helping to clean your lab space'. So in retaliation you somehow hack into the university email server and change it so that he's now listed as "Shu Sakamaki" which drives him up the wall.

The whole thing culminates in a confrontation in the library when you both pick out the same textbook at the exact same time and then get into a disagreement over who needs it more and who's research is more important. It turns into some sort of scientific debate and for some reason you can't stop looking at his lips as you spout increasingly complex jargon at each other. You finally run out arguments and Reiji looks so infuriatingly smug at having at the last word that shove the book into his chest, knocking him into a set of shelves in the process, and kiss him just so he'll stop making that damn expression at you.

What is DRAMAtical Murder?

DRAMAtical Murder (DMMd) is an r18 Boys Love Visual novel created by Nitro+CHiRAL back in 2012. It has 4 character routes, with a 5th unlockable one. All the routes have 2 endings each, a good and bad ending- with the exception of 1 who has multiple bad endings (Noiz). There was a sequel/fandisc released in 2013 with DRAMAtical Murder re:connect, a SFW PS Vita port in 2014 with DRAMAtical Murder re:code (with the explicit content cut out and an extra route added), and an Anime adaptation in the same year. There was also a stage play adaptation in late 2019. There was a fanmade translation patch released for DMMd and DMMd re:connect on AarinFantasy forums, which is how many fans experienced the game in English. It was only in recent years that DMMd, and other Nitro+CHiRAL games would get an offical English translation by JAST BLUE. Nitro+CHiRAL has released other BL games, with Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and Sweet Pool. Their most recent release is Slow Damage, which will be getting an offical English release as well. I encourage you to support and purchase the official release if you are able to. As the game is now out officially in English, there will be no links or etc to the patch in this post.

Here is one plot summary (Technically from the Anime but the other ones I found were google translate quality); The story takes place many years in the future where the game "Rhyme," a virtual fighting game, is incredibly popular and people possess "AllMates," convenient AI computers. Aoba leads an ordinary life, working at a junk shop and living with his grandmother on the island of Midorijima. Unlike his friends, he doesn't participate in Rhyme, nor does he belong in a gang. However, when rumors of people disappearing spread, Aoba finds himself needing to unravel the mysteries behind the island in order to protect his everyday life. So, basically, DMMd is a BL Visual novel. Like all Nitro+CHiRAL games, DMMd contains content some may find triggering- just as a small warning. Otherwise, and this is coming from a huge fan- I personally think DMMd is amazing. The characters are wonderful, their backstories are unique and makes them feel fleshed out and give the DMMd world more life, in a way- the music is incredible and really… there is nothing quite like DMMd, it's so wonderfully strange and great. I promise you it's so much more than just the explicit stuff. ...But again that's just me. Not everyone will like it and even some fans will not see it the same way I do, but anyway.

How can I play the game?

For the Japanese version; There are two versions of DMMd; the original, and the Windows 10 version. The original isn't sold anymore to my knowledge, however that version should still work on Windows 10. Please note you will need to set your system Locale to Japanese or use something like Locale Emulator/NTLEA to play the game, or it will not work. What about DRAMAtical Murder re:connect?

re:connect is the fandisc/sequel to the original. It has mainly the short stories that add to the original endings, both good and bad. It also has more stories that can be unlocked like Aoba’s backstory, and what happened afterwards with Mizuki. It also includes minigames and the April Fools jokes N+C did before re:connect was released. JAST BLUE has not confirmed a translation will happen for re:connect, but there is still the fan translation released on Aarinfantasy forums. If there is any news on JAST BLUE and re:connect, I will update this post. As said before, there is no Windows 10 version of re:connect, although it should work fine on Windows 10 regardless. I’m unsure if these are able to be purchased anymore, unless it’s second-hand. Hi, I hope I can come to you with that question because I was wondering if you may know if Dan ever mentioned why he needs glasses? Or is it just like a style kinda thing that he likes to wear without a serious lack of sight? Needless to say I just binged the show and fell down the rabbit hole to learn more about the actors. From what I can gather, he has been wearing glasses since he was 8 and finds them to be a fashion statement and a huge part of his own brand (hence why he made the decision for his character not to wear them in the show).

I talked to a few other folks who are big fans of Dan as well and it sounds like he definitely needs them. He (x) and Eugene (x) both have a lazy eye and in certain live streams he has taken his glasses off and has had to get close to the camera to see clearly.

HAPPY 31ST BIRTHDAY SAKIYAMA TSUBASA! + DL

Now we’re the same age again haha, we are getting old, but as long as I can cheer on him, I’m satisfied ^^ It has been a awful year for my mental an physical health (no covid related btw), I had relatives with covid though, and it has been tough in general, but anyway, I’m here to talk about the man I still admire, even if I’m not here on the internet everytime.
