Might I recommend No default plantsim hair and No plantsim skin/eyes? Edit: I forgot to recommend the Mirror of Discernment. It allows you to designate sims as aliens :D

More "natural" cowplant sim skins! The dark green also comes as a default!

Alien cow skins! As custom and default skins! Also an alien eyes default!

General Zoi's cow ear and tail recolors, plus Diekatze's Namekian antenna recolors! The antenna have also been made showerproof!

Disclaimer: Cow tails and ears flash blue, tried to fix it. Couldn't, but they work fine otherwise and it goes away after a change appearance as usual.

Cow tails also don't work for children. It was made that way, probably by accident. The frame is lacking the cow tail, and I don't know how to fix it as meshing is not my forte, at all, in the slightest.

Make up! Yes, for babies too! There's several nose blushes, lipstick, a 3rd eye, and matching 3rd eyelids for both alien skins. I've also made alien contacts for babies and adults!

Everything is tool tipped, named clearly, practical preview pics included, meshes included, foldered by type, and compressed. Remember to only pick ONE default!

Remix Skinblend in Trapping's Natural Tones!

Here are some natural recolors of Annachibi's Remix Supernatural Skins. The original is an edit of Whysim's Skin 31.

Like the originals, this skinset is for all ages, elders have wrinkles, and adults/teens have fitness states. There are 12 natural Trapping tones included. I didn't include Trapping's supernatural colors (except the Galaxy Quest default) because the original set is full of great options on that front.

The skin comes in three versions: Custom, Geneticized+Townified and Defaults. Default tones are the following: Light Rose (S1), Sunkissed (S2), Sunheat (S3), and Moonlit Night (S4). The genetic scale for the geneticized set is based around those defaults. I've also included the base tone in the geneticized file.

Update 9/13/2024: There was a weird property set in the custom and gen/town skins affected the scalps of young adult female sims. Please redownload.

Of the Earth: A Brown-Eye-Centric Eye Default!

Hiiiii! I made these for my own game to compliment @eulaliasims's lovely darker default skin sets of @withlovefromsimtown's awesome birthday suit skins! I haven't seen a default eye set that uses these color choices yet, so I know it's not popular, but I've decided to share it just in case someone else would like to use them.

I used Oepu's Default Maxis Match Eyes textures, added it to a maxis match AlfredAskew sclera, and edited the colors using my own semi-realistic swatch. Full preview at the end of this post! Color-wise, this set replaces: •dark blue with black •light blue with amber brown •gray with hazel •emerald green with a earthier tone •light brown with a deeper shade Defaults come in two versions: Maxis match iris size or semi-realistic iris size. Only choose one.

Since there’s no blue eye defaults, I've included 3 as add-ons! Choose between custom or geneticized/townified (Very recessive! Genetic value: 2.75), and Maxis match iris size or semi-realistic iris size. They're labeled and packaged individually.

As mentioned I kinda fell off the face of the Earth these past weeks playing Sims2 for hours and hours, lol. So I'm making a new iteration of WIP posts just to remind myself what I was even working on

This is one I've been stuck on for a long time and part of the reason I put SFM down for a while. The lighting is just not what I want it to be but I don't know where to go with it. Hopefully I can reapproach it with less tunnel vision now

This one I'm very happy with and a bit in love with, tbh. Other than maybe some small lighting adjustments it's about done

These two I've been quiet about, it's been highly experimental trying to work them out (and still can't figure out how to get the right resolution; those ovals are supposed to be circles but SFM will stretch out the lights unless the resolution's square, for some reason). Especially for the second one, trying to build a whole ass cityscape and fake ocean has been — interesting. Took me a long while to figure out what was the most realistic way to make out-of-focus lights that interact correctly, and the answer seems to be flat gobos (which the second uses and the first doesn't yet)

This is a small project just based on the vibes from the Silent Hill 3 intro; as soon as I saw the blinds gobos in the files, I knew I had to do it

1: Descarga y extrae el archivo ZIP desde la página oficial de SimState. Encontrarás dos carpetas llamadas "to_downloads" y "to_install_files", así como un archivo¨package¨ llamado "simstate-flawlesspink_UI.package".

todos los archivos de la carpeta "to_downloads" debe ser movida a la carpeta de descargas de documentos de EA Games.

algunos los archivos de la carpeta "to_install_files" debe ser movida a la ubicación donde está instalado tu juego base.

El archivo "simstate-flawlesspink_UI.package" debe ser colocado en la ruta: (x86)\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\UI.

2: A continuación, sigue estos:

Accede a la primera carpeta y selecciona solo un archivo .package de cada una de las 7 carpetas que encuentres. No te preocupes, tendrás fotos de comparación en todas las carpetas. Asegúrate de que el tamaño de tu pantalla sea igual al de las imágenes proporcionadas.

Establecer una pantalla de carga (loading screen):

Selecciona solo una pantalla de carga de las opciones disponibles. Aunque no hay ejemplos específicos, puedes elegir una que te guste. En este caso, a mi me gusta elegir la que se llama "diamonds", pero no importa porque todas las opciones son de color rosa.

Copia la pantalla de carga seleccionada y pégala en la ruta: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\UI.

Dear Sims 2 Community,

Or really, just about anyone who does the stuff this post mentions...

Forewarning: this is a LONG post.

For the last few years I've just kinda bottled this rant inside of me. But I've just gotten tired of trying to be patient.

Yes, Abhijeet is a real name--and quite a famous one. Yes, there are millions of people out there with Ng or Wong as a last name. Yes, Pong is a real name too.

Abhijeet - 'victorious' or 'conqueror' in Sanskrit

Ng/Huang (黄）- 'yellow', to 'fall through'

Pong - 'noble'

The same goes for almost every first and last name in The Sims 2's name generator. They're not made-up names just because they don't fit your image of a Western suburbia. In fact, they are taken from the developers' names. Just because they're Asian names, or non-white names, or 'spelt weirdly', doesn't mean that they're 'fake' or whatever or 'weird'.

I am tired of going on Reddit or Discord or whatever and seeing people making fun of names like 'Ng' and suggesting that the developers were lazy to put that in the name generator. Uh, no? 'Ng' is a very common surname for Chinese people--not just in Asia, but in the West too. So either you are being grossly ignorant, or you just cannot believe that Asians exist out there.

As a South-East Asian, I am tired of this whole ‘not-white, not real' logic exercised in this community. Not everyone who plays this game is from the West. As a South-East Asian, it's quite infuriating to see people make fun of names like 'Pong' because they can't be bothered to at least Google the name's meaning.

What I love about The Sims 2 is how diverse the names that townies generate with are. The developers could have left in your average American names and left it at that. Instead, they used their own names, and it's just proof of how diverse the developer team was. If you look at the names townies can generate with, it's actually insane. There are so many unique, rare names on there that people are just... making fun of, because they have this belief that The Sims 2 is an 'American' game and as a result everything should match what your perfect American suburb would have in it.

As if there isn't a whole neighborhood inspired by Shakespearean lore in there where a child has the name Bottom--or whatever.

Maybe I am overreacting a bit. But it makes me so infuriated when people make fun of things they don't fully understand. Without even Googling it. Every other post on r/sims2 is 'Is Abhijeet a real name??' Uh, yeah, a single Google search could've told you that.

In short, I am just tired of the Sims community constantly misrepresenting people like me or acting like Asians in the game are unusual.

It's not just names, too. It's also in appearance, languages, etc. So I've compiled a small list of misconceptions you may want to avoid, because why not, too many people never seem to get them.

Not all Asians are Chinese. I've used Indian and Chinese surnames as examples because they're closest to my understanding (being part Indian, part Chinese) but I see an insane amount of people acting like Indians aren't from Asia or all Asians are Chinese. Same goes for the people who act like all Asians are Japanese. Mary-Sue doesn't have to be Chinese, she could be Japanese, Korean, or not even Asian at all. I am really tired of people acting like my HC that she is only part-Asian is weird.

Not all Asians have light skin. It's not even a regional/ethnicity thing, where Indians are also Asian and a lot have brown skin, etc. There seems to be this idea in a lot of communities that all Chinese must have ultra white skin, black hair, and brown eyes. I have never met a Chinese person outside of actual China who looks like they'd blend in with the snow. South-East Asia is not only chock-full of Chinese people whose ancestors left China decades ago, it's also smack-dab on the Equator. If you can go about your daily activities and stay pale, I am in absolute awe of you.

Not all Asians have 'slint-eyes'. I find this grossly racist and very ignorant, because even that term makes my skin crawl. Yes, some of us have our eyes slanted towards the center of our face. That does not mean that all of us do or that the Korean girl you're making must look like her eyes are sideways.

Not all Asians speak Asian. I have no idea who thinks that Asia, a continent that contains most of the world's population, consists of people who all speak the same language. Asian isn't even a language. You may be thinking of Chinese--which, although having one singular writing system (okay, it has a modern one and a traditional one I can't even read) actually consists of dozens of dialects. Most Mainlanders speak Mandarin, but around my area there are so many people who speak Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, whatever. This concept that all people from a continent must be able to understand each other is stupid when you look at the European continent.

I apologise if I've misrepresented anyone on this list--if you are a person and you speak the language Asian, do let me know you exist--but for the love of all things holy, please remember that Asians and non-Western people exist. Some of them made this very game that you play every day, and they'd be baffled, I think, to know that you believe Wong is a made-up name.

I don't mind people who use mods to change up the names used to generate townies and make them more suit their gameplay--if you want a themed neighborhood or one that's all-'American', go ahead. But if you're gonna make fun of someone's actual name because you can't fathom that not everyone has first name John last name Smith, please do educate yourself.

1. The Dress

This one was a technical challenge but it is now bug-free thanks to the help of much more knowledgeable simmers than I am. Shoutout in particular to @latmosims, who fixed the issue for me 😌

It's for Lifa's trans AM-EM (aemTr). It has a fat morph but no preg morph. Polycount: 11,197.

The recolors are BSOK'd. They can be either standalone or repo'd to Nonsensical-pixels' AF.

2. The Rompers

Each body shape has one standalone recolor. They have fat morphs, adults have preg morphs. Polycount: Maxis AM & EM: 2,227 // Lifa's trans M: 2,397.

Hey Ilenia! I'm wondering if it's possible to make an accessory box type of mod. Basically a skin care deco item using the LC_GlowyDewsSkincare and the LC_SetItandForgetIt items from this set converted by LC (https://modthesims. info/d/673623/4t2-bathroom-clutter-kit-conversion-updated-26-01-2023.html) that we can click on to apply facemasks on our sims? These masks specifically (thesimsresource. com/downloads/details/category/sims2-sets-makeup/title/purifying-face-mask-set/id/470590/) and these eye masks (tumblr. com/jsasimmer/736349330844352512/needa-rest-with-eye-masks-on-sunday)

If the masks could boost comfort and hygiene whilst on that would be cool, but I don't know if thats possible so no pressure for that. Thank you if it's possible or not! :)

As far as I know, face masks are make up not accessories so it's not possible to make an accessory box with them...

Hiya, its my first time downloading sims2 mods and wanted to know the difference between "custom, gen&town, defaults" on the wisteria skin and pupa eyes genetics.

hi!! the defaults will only replace the four skin tones and five eye colors in your game! so if you were to load a pre-made maxis household after you've installed these, the sims would have these skins and eyes now. same goes for the supernaturals.

customs won't affect existing sims, you can only select these skins and eyes in create a sim where they will show up as additional shades to choose from. the same is true for geneticized/towniefied, however, if you choose this version, they can show up on any new babies or townies the game generates.

you gotta choose if you want the custom or gen/town version, but the defaults can exist alongside either of them! happy simming :)

Ts2 Maxis face tweaks supernaturals

Here's the supernatural defaults of the skin i posted earlier, all male faces without wrinkles. The alien skin is in the base package so i added the preview sim here because i forgor

The correlated werewolf overlay was made by @freezerbunny-sims2, i edited it to have maxis eyes. I used maxis improved eyes by aledstrange on vampires and plantsims. Feel free to edit the eyes to match your defaults.

I also edited vampires so their skin is gray instead of blue, but still pale, with maxis skin ofc
