Does anyone else get this from the screenshots feature in s2rpc? At first, I thought it was because I already had gadwin using printscreen button so I changed the button to use for s2rpc screenshot taking, and I still get this. Takes the first screenshot you do and the rest are always black. Any helpful hints on getting this to work as it should? Thanks.

Sims 2 Question: is there are a way to set the menu on unowned community lots?

I want to use specific cc foods for certain restaurants. I have tried having a sim purchase the lot, setting the menu, and then sell it. the menu doesn’t “stick” that way.

anything I can do / mods that I can use? 🤔

I am about to pick up a flash drive from Best Buy so I can download Linux to my computer. I already backed up my documents to Google drive🙈 I’m pulling the plug… I have been putting it off because I have dyslexia and reading directions is a nightmare for me, especially when there’s so much language that is completely foreign to me.

Lots of this involves like programmer language & that is essentially gibberish to me lol! n my brain immediately starts jumbling all of it & goes into fight or flight. That sounds dramatic but this happens to me when I am even trying to read directions to drive somewhere… but I remember being scared when I first started trying to get sims 2 to work on my windows 11 computer in 2021 n I figured it out. I will let yall know how it goes, how long it takes, what I did, etc…

If I am able to figure this out I PROMISE you can too. So we will see🤣😭

I have question regarding Romance mod. I have seen a lot of cute new animations/interactions and they so lovely and innocent for sweet love. Say, do you plan to add more cheeky animations as well? Like more passionate kissing and etc. I know you are family friendly creator and I'm not asking about erotic stuff, but few spicy interactions would be nice. Something that could be inspired by sims2 or sims4 lovestruck style.

tysm anon!! I had to wrestle a bit with the file to make the taxi image work, and at the end it came out looking super neat! Especially if you have the sims 2's music playing (found a super cool music override that does that). It's such a cool idea, and I've been researching on how to do it 😆 ngl, making cc objects is something I wanna do someday, tho from the looks of it it's gonna take me a while to understand the process lol. If/when I make any breakthrough, I'll be sure to post about it :p (It'd be neat if it costs money too to use the taxi.)

thanks anon ^7^ you can replace them as long as you have access to the files (pancake1 made a pie menu & wants sound replacement and buurz replaced the in-game music with ones from other sims games). I looked around and found these resources you might want to check out: TS4 Sound Tool, UI sound kit & UI audio instance list

hehe tysm anon! My UI mods won't remove the shop icon so you'll need to grab other mods that do that. I decided not to do it myself to avoid having a new mod conflict ^^

Hii @simplyamazingsims, I've tested both mirroredup & triple mirror and both v3 files are working w/ the latest update. The reflection setting must be set to low or higher for the reflection to show up. You can also try clearing your caches and try removing the resource.cfg file (file will regenerate, and doing this fixes the issue for some). Oh and ofc having other cas backgrounds can cause mine to not show up so make sure there's only one in your mods folder ^^

Hi anon! For the phone icons, I used xosdr's phone icons psd to create mine. For the wallpaper, I haven't found someone who've gathered & shared the files for it, so I'll see if I can do that myself :)

Hey anon, unfortunately the notification wall is associated w/ the texture file that handles most of the UI panels, so you won't be able to remove a specific file to achieve it. I've received a request just like yours so what I can do is share it a separate file later on ^^

Hii as well, it's compatible yes ^^ you can use both mods as they don't have any files in common that conflicts with each other.

Hii as well, it's been a while so I don't know if you're still having the issue or if it's already been fixed. Afaik my mod shouldn't cause any loading issues on its own, as well as if you have the conflicting mod & files present and if you remove the conflicting files. So far, I've not received any reports of this exact issue, so I can't be of help. Sorry if that doesn't answer your question 😅

Heyy anon, basically you'd want to only remove the files that conflicts w/ the mods that you do use, and not the other way around. For example, if you use TOOL, you'd want to delete the files in the Additional Files > TOOL folder (either both text and texture files or just the text file alone, depending on which one you prefer). If you don't use TOOL, keep the files be. So, if you only have the UI Cheats mod and none of the listed conflicting mods, then you don't need to remove any files ^^

I have a question for people who know how computers and Sims2 work:

I learned from reading a lot of tutorials that toddler clothes texture size is best at 512x512, because the skinfile of toddlers is 512x512. But I also see lots of toddler clothes with texture size 1024x1024. Sometimes I really see qualityloss when I resize to 512. But still do it because I think (but don't know why) it's best for the game.

Can anyone help me? Does it matter, and if so, why? Can it help with pink flashing?

I have a question for you..

I have this old story back from 2011 or something that i loved, sadly sims 2 saves were so frequently corrupting back then so i stopped it after losing all characters... but lately I read the whole thing all over again and i have an itch to do it again and finish my story.

But the question is- the story is made in sims 2 and written in Finnish, I think these are my options.

I rewrite everything in English and take pictures with sims 4

I love sims2 and with the mods today i think it would still look very different than in 2011, also I loved posing in sims 2 and i kinda hate it in sims 4

Sims 4 in an option, but with the mods and updates it would i think take forever to write since the reason i haven't played is the updates bringing bugs and glitches and it takes a long time to fix the game, but then it would have much more things

set in greece, a fictional telling of the peloponnesian war, honestly really really fun :) i love the AC games and this one having a more RPG angle wasnt popular w/ the dudebros but its popular with ME! i love doomed siblings and fighting fate! what if you were two children doomed by the pythia and one of you was raised by a violent cult into thinking you were a demigod but instead you were a tool, and the other was forced to flee home raise themself into a hero of the people and save greece from this cult.....and then youre faced with your baby sibling who you tried and failed to save decades ago

they dont tell you this but palia is a post-apocalyptic game set a hundreds of thousands of years after humans were killed off by some sort of cataclysmic event and all thats left of us are memories of concrete jungles and wires like veins permanently left behind in the memory discs of sentient robots we created to help us who got left behind. you play as a human who came out of some hibernation, separated by your own past by thousands of years and amnesia, and you befriend the townsfolk and try to make a life :) it just looks like a cute life/farming sim

the outer worlds

soooo fun its like if the fallout sense of humor + post apocalypse capitalist doomerism met the sci-fi fun of the mass effect games. which makes sense because the studio who made the most popular fallout game made this one. youre unfrozen out of hibernation and used as a guinea pig to gather material and information for the mad scientist who freed you, working with very little information but a whole lot of incentive. you accidentally crash land on the guy who was supposed to give you a ride off this planet you were just shucked onto. now youre impersonating him. humanity is spread across a system and capitalism-as-a-religion runs it all.

mass effect 1

ive always been obsessed with ME's fantasy sibling dragon age so im trying the mass effect games out... its a dense sci fi and a little clunky but shes from 2007 and both percy and gabe love these games so im persevering. the story is really fun (its about what constitutes "being alive" and personhood) but i feel like ive barely scratched the surface so far!! currently playing this one as im typing

I have an unusual question: I know we have some functional weapons for Sims2 that are able to kill Sims, I also found poison- but is there maybe also some food (like in TS4 the pufferfish- only know this from CallMeKevin)? Or anything else or more ways that a Sim could use to kill other Sims? 🤔
