I saw your last post about the ask game and i would love know more about Ingrid.

Yesssss I have been waiting for the chance to just info dump about my love, Ingrid. Thank you so much for the ask!

I feel like I haven't been shy about my love for Ingrid, but in case I have been too subtle about my feelings- she is my favorite sim of the 1900's.

If there is anything in particular you are interested in knowing, please let me know, but I'll word vomit and use some of the prompts to just share until I can't think of what more to say! 😌

Me from the future: Now that I have written everything out, I feel obligated to save your scrolling and say more below the cut if you are interested because it's a long one.

Ingrid grew up very privileged, comparatively to the Pancakes or many others in Henford. Her father was the local doctor, so she could afford the latest fashions, she was able to continue her education, and likely even attended finishing school or higher education of sorts.

She and her brother, Gilbert, were not snobbish though. They were very comfortable in the country and were just as much at home as the Pancake children were playing on the farm and getting into messes.

Ingrid and her brother, Gilbert, were very close to Walter growing up. Walter had a crush on Ingrid from the moment he set eyes on her and he was primarily motivated to maintain a friendship with Gilbert just to get to know Ingrid better.

I think Walter, later in life, mostly put up with Gilbert's wild ways in hopes that staying close to him would be his ticket to marrying Ingrid. Unfortunately for him, Ingrid holds her parent's opinion in very high regard and with her brother's reputation, Walter had to work twice as hard to prove himself to Ingrid's family before she agreed to marrying him.

I really loved that part of Ingrid. She autonomously refused Walter's first proposal, and it made so much sense. She wanted to be sure she and her children would be cared for, and her brother's friends would be some of the last people she'd think of to do that, even if she also had some very obvious feeling for Walter.

Once she was won over by Walter, she really took to being a home maker and eventually a mother. She was so attentive as a mother that, honestly, when Mother Eliza came to stay with them, she would still rush to be the first to take care of the children's needs.

The only thing she consistently, autonomously would do other than very actively parent (and when she was not being serenaded to by Walter because that was genuinely his favorite thing to do) she was in her garden.

She had such a green thumb and thanks to Walter's fortune, she had access to every plant she could dream of. I have never really played through the floral arrangement skill or the option to own a business, so with her passion for flowers I really enjoyed exploring both of these with her.

I think part of why I enjoy her so much is that while everyone else in the household was at school or work, she would just make bouquet after bouquet and socialize with customers at the shop. She, perhaps not as commonly for the decade, had such a busy life outside of the home.

If she was a modern woman, I think she would be exactly who she was in the story but perhaps owning a chain of flower shops or maybe also have a flower delivery service. I could imagine she would be everyone's go to. Forget your anniversary? Call Ingrid. Need to win your true love over? Call Ingrid. Have to make an apology really good? Ingrid 👏 is👏 your👏 girl👏

I really didn't want Ingrid to be a background character or 'just' the wife and mother without fulfilment in her own passions.

As we are about to transition our focus from Walter & Ingrid, we will see her much less. But I know that in the war times, she'd be helping folks build up their gardens and she'd start raising chickens. She's going to keep herself as busy as she can and, man, I hope she doesn't lose one of her boys. 😭

it's a pretty silly and short story i worked on (with a little help from my friends for some stuff<3) for velox fabula's game jam!! it was made in ten days (sans the update... which i forgot to do until recently) and with the theme of unreliable narrator :)

"pneu de novo? jura?", ele perguntou risonho limpando os dedos no paninho cheio de graxa - como se fosse fazer diferença já que tinha graxa até mesmo em seu nariz. "vai me ajudar ou não?", você perguntou fazendo um biquinho mimado e cruzando os braços - tentando muito não reparar na calvin klein que ele usava e aparecia já que o jeans devia estar dois números maior, já o garoto não tentava e absolutamente não ligava em fitar suas coxas naquela saiazinha rosa que você usava com cropped branco. "eu sempre ajudo, princesa, traz o carro aqui na frente, consegue?", perguntou se aproximando com a mão no quadril.

"uhum". ele observou você pegar o hb20 e estacionar ali, indo até a porta do motorista e abrindo pra você sair. "você continua dirigindo mal pra porra, por isso fica batendo os pneus nas guias", comenta e mantém o corpo perto do seu - ele sempre exala um calor muito grande, por ficar mexendo nos motores e fazer muito esforço físico. "ainda bem que eu te perguntei algo", "que língua afiada, nena", vocês se provocam - esse joguinho de vocês acontece sempre e nenhum da o braço a torcer, matías diz que vc é muito mimada e tem a vida ganha, e você diz que ele não sabe o que quer, que é muito moleque.

"mas vou cobrar pela troca dessa vez", ele faz um adendo, virando de costas pra voltar a mexer no carro anterior. "ah matí... que isso, cê sabe que meu pai vai ficar bravo de pagar...", "e quem é que tá falando de dinheiro aqui?", ele vira pra ti uma vezinha e joga uma piscadela muito cretina.

Where should I begin... I'm on my first listen at MAG129, though I spoiled myself quite a lot already (on purpose, I don't mind spoilers) I'm still getting used to the switch from head archivist to archivist. I'm currently experiencing a severe case of brainrot, the Jarchivist on my mind 24/7 and when I hear the name of an entity I experience some sort of primal neuron activation. I'm trying to finish the podcast before the protocol restarts, I just wanna know the whole universe before I listen to the spinoff BUT I ALSO DON'T WANNA MISS THE SPINOFF'S HYPE. Anyhow my top 3 entities are The Vast, The Extinction and The End, I believe in evil twink Elias x gilf built like a fridge Peter Lukas supremacy and I'm obsessed with Jon, his voice, his fanart, HIS VOICE GOOD LORD. I first had the idea to write a fan episode to get myself out of an otherwise crappy writing task for English class but I couldn't finish that one (plot holes are the killers of inspiration) but when I saw a bleeding computer my eyes lit up like some anime girl thinking this is my sign to try again. I'm thinking about writing one for the acrobat idea as well, I'll try to capture the feeling but I'm not running into it this time I have to figure out what it'll actually be (some pocket dimension of the spiral, some sort of hyperrealistic dream, I just feel like going about it in the "well the subway collapsed on me idfk how I made it out" approach would not leave my writer instincts satisfied). And my trick for keeping in character is imagining Jonny reading the statement in my head. All the more reason to hear his sexy voice. Anyhow if you have other ideas please send them in my AMA

I've never played TS4 either, so what happens when you beat up a chicken

Depends on your relationship level with the chicken. If you are friends, the chicken will cry and you will have to work hard to make amends.

If you are not friends, the chicken will take out a shank and a mini game will start where you and the chicken have to fight. If it's on a Community Lot, other Sims will watch and may place monetary bets on who will win.

Disappeared Memory

One day the whole Liddell Family had to go to London — a special invitation to a banquet — without Alice, who did not want to go because of the host's daughters. Nan has the flu and Lizzie had to ask Alex to look after Alice while they were in London.

Alice was absolutely delighted. She loved it when Alex played with her, read her fairy tales, sang her lullabies, played the guitar and piano — Alex came from a really musical family and had this bubbly and slightly childish personality that made Alice a little more confident in her company — unlike Lizzie, who was mature and did mature things — too mature for Alice's taste.

Alice spent the evening with Alex in the library reading books and singing Welsh songs — Alice loved it when Alex sang Suo Gân and Ar Hyd y Nos to her. And we can't forget Dinah — she played with Alex's dress and slept all night in the girls' legs.
