Following on from the recent sad new that @jius-sims is retiring from making custom content for the Sims 4, I wanted to put together a bit of an ode to their incredible work. I don't think there's many lookbooks I've made that don't use at least a pair of their expertly crafted shoes. Annie - A BGC Simblreen Collection

The 1982 version of Annie starring Aileen Quinn was one of my favorite movies growing up. All of us kids in the neighborhood spent countless hours acting the story out, and I'm pretty sure I still have the soundtrack memorized to this day.

You may be wondering why I did not make the outfit Annie wore while she lived at the orphanage. The reason I chose these four in particular is because they were featured in a 1982 Sears catalog. Girls could choose outfits inspired by the movie, or contemporary ones with the Annie logo.

All items are in my Combined Diary palette with a few swatches added or removed. The movie dress is a mesh edit of @linzlu's Samantha collection. There is some weird texture on the fingernails. This comes from the original mesh, and shouldn’t be very visible. The sailor dress uses a collar from @waxesnostalgic.

My first Piece of CC I'm sharing! I'm pretty nervous lol, I sometimes make CC but never thought of posting. This passed quality check (being used ingame by me) so I thought I'd put together some visuals & post it publicly! It is quite simple, but I will be posting more CC in the future!

Seventies Shed

What can be said of the 1970s shed? Sometimes known as cedar contemporary or California contemporary, they are, in my opinion, often underappreciated and misunderstood. I see them as the little evolutionary escape route that midcentury modern took while middle class America barreled forward toward the McMansion.

This shed home has everything I love about the style: cedar shingles, warm wood tones, multiple outdoor zones, plus everyone's favorites, track lighting and hideous bathroom color combos. (Black and brass, baby! No? Just me?) The kitchen has, blessedly, been updated, because I just couldn't bring myself to put the more period-appropriate BlandCo contemporary counters into this house. I mean, I do want people to download it.

This home might be perfect for: native San Sequioans, your sim family's second home upgrade (a little dated and a little too big, but we'll grow into it!), the decades challenge, yuppie sims who host wine and cheese nights

When I heard the runway category of 'Day to Night Ruveal' for the 5th episode of All Stars 9, there was only one icon that came to mind - 1985's Day to Night Barbie! It's been a while since I've put an 80s look together, so this was a lot of fun.

While River was visiting from Mt Komorebi a family reunion in Sulani had been planned. River travelled back to Sulani with his 3 children for the first time since his parents had passed away many years ago. Sulani has changed a lot, and yet it still felt so familiar.

He took his kids to see the house he grew up in, but on arrival was surprised to see how much it had been changed by the new owners since it had sold. River smiled to himself remembering the ramshackle hippy shack of his childhood that used to be there, so full of mess and activity. He wished his kids could’ve seen what it once was.

The family convened at Summer’s house. She still lived in Sulani with her 3 children, and had made a nice life for them all as a single parent. At Summers house River reunited with Clover, who was still very much her punk self.

Also at the reunion was their cousin Tanya and her two sons, as well as Jonathan, their beloved brother Indigo’s partner. It was the first time they had all been together since his death, and those who had loved Indigo most shared stories and anecdotes of his life while the teenagers and children entertained themselves.

It was such a heartwarming reunion for all the Lenowski siblings, to be back together in the same place. They took a photo to remember the occasion, with all the children and adults together as the last remaining members of the family.

It was the end of high school, and to go out with a bang Dustin decided to throw the biggest house party of the year. It was a huge event - his Mom was away with Angela for the weekend, and throngs of high school seniors poured into the house to dance and drink. There was beer pong, keg stands, and thumping electronic music. It would be a night to remember.

Heather got to enjoy the party too, and she helped Dusty organise it all. It was so exciting being at a senior party as a junior. She danced her heart out and drank cup after cup of beer… until she lost count of how many she’d had. At some point, she even tried doing a keg stand.

Jenny was there and all Heather wanted to do was dance with her. But at some point she realised she wasn’t feeling so good…

Dusty didn’t want to deal with his drunk little sister, and so Jenny took Heather upstairs to bed and sat with her to make sure she was ok.

‘Go back downstairs without me,’ groaned Heather into her pillow. She felt guilty for stopping Jenny’s fun.

‘Nah,’ said Jenny. ‘Who would I dance with down there? Not without you.’ She smiled and laid her head on her sickly friend.

Perhaps it was the alcohol talking, but Jenny’s touch made Heather react. She sat up and looked into her friends eyes, and suddenly found herself making a move to kiss her.

‘Wh-what was that for?’ asked Jenny. She felt confused. But her heart was racing.

‘I’m sorry,’ said Heather. ‘I just really wanted to kiss you. You’re the prettiest person in the world.’

She pulled away from Jenny, but Jenny laid down next to her on the bed. Heather was glad she hadn’t run away or been angry at her. Jenny stroked her face and looked at her friend. What was it that she was feeling all of a sudden? She was suddenly seeing Heather differently.

They laid next to one another quietly, until they both fell asleep. It felt so right, to just lay there cuddling as the party raged on downstairs.
