Meredith is part librarian and part party girl. She's serious during the day, and playful at night. Kirk is a rock musician who thinks he's hit it big time, but he's still living in Barkersville.

I almost never see people talking about the characters from the Sims 2 Pets GBA. I mean. that's understandable. Sims 2 Pets for GBA was not only released two years after the DS was released, but it was also bad.
The Sims 2 Pets for GBA takes a lot of inspiration from the other GBA Sims games, with an isometric artstyle and a mixture of adventure elements and simulation elements. Howeverrr, the problem seems to be that it doesn't feel like it actually knows what to do with it.
The minigames are tedious and boring. Aforementioned minigames pay peanuts and rely on an NPC being in a specific location to do them. Characters have little personality; 70% of the dialogue in this game is completely exchangeable. There's no way to easily find NPCs that you need to find (read: phone call), even though they all have schedules and move all the time. The game doesn't keep track of missions. There's like three different kinds of burglars, and there's no way to stop them from coming to your house (what the fuck). Training your pets is so tedious and repetitive and yet everything else feels like a distraction from it. You can randomly, and frequently, get sick, from fully cooking your food with eight levels of cooking skill and using good kitchen items. Everything breaks down and is dirty all the time. Eating dog food is safer than cooking. This game is having me eat dog food because just cooking feels like a risk. And there's just so much more that annoys me about it.
Okay, I'm done complaining. There's not much to compliment about the game. It does have its charm but wears off as the tediousness of all of its various mechanics settles in. I mean. I'd like to know more about the characters, but also... I don't care.
I really wanted to make Jade. Unlike nearly every other character, she does, actually, have a personality. Even if it absolutely sucks. Meredith is my favorite character in the game. I can't explain why, but her design is neat and she seems really nice and likable. I was considering doing more (read: Elza and Hugo) but after I finished these two I. couldn't be bothered.
I feel as if Meredith brings the Blue Hair and Pronouns to Barkersville. She also has this kind of warmness that I haven't really gotten from other characters in this game. And I believe she's close with Kirk (... Carbon?). I'd suspect they were dating, as they both have positive reactions when they mention each other and I caught them going on a Graveyard Date at 1:00 AM. But when I talked to Kirk he said even though he's with a girl, he thought Celina was hot. So I can only make one conclusion: leave your shitty boyfriend, Meredith!!!
And on Jade: She's definitely on the Barkersville HOA (and Barkersville definitely has one!). She's just that kind of demon. It's mentioned that the Pingree's are a wealthy family. So, I don't think she has a job. Instead, she just torments her community with her influence.
Anyways. I don't actually know anything else about these characters beyond this. So. Um.
I had a lot of fun making these; I'm planning on doing something similar to this for all the Sims 2 GBA characters. I remade them all a few months ago, wanted to do renders to show them all off, and I want the excuse to write things like this about every single character. :) (and. I tried to do them all at once. but um. hm. that's just a little too much.) It'll take a while to actually finish anything w/ that because i need to experiment with format. I gave some of them outfits in other categories than 'everyday,' so I'm thinking about rendering those out, butttt that's up in the air.

Welcome to Strangetown! by EstavaConfuso (The Sims 3)
Truth-seekers move to Strangetown hoping to discover the secrets the town holds. Do aliens live among us? Do missing Sims mysteriously appear here? In this town nothing is what it seems.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
About
Strangetown is one of the oficial neighborhoods of The Sims 2. It appeared in the base game (PC) but it was also featured in The Sims 2 spin-offs: PSP, GBA, DS and console. My purpose in creating this world was to include all versions of Strangetown from all games it appeared in in a single world. I tried to be as accurate as possible to the different versions, as well as trying to keep the correct layout of the different places. Of course, it's impossible to have an 100% perfect replica, but I hope you can identify them in the game.
World
Considering that The Sims 2 was released in 2004, this world is supposedly set in the mid 2000s. The world consists of 101 lots in total: 49 residential lots (18 inhabited and 31 unhabited), 44 community lots and 8 empty lots. The world map is a variation of Lucky Palms height map (although you don't need Lucky Palms installed to work).
Size: Large.
Population: Populated. Features several townies from the different games (PC, PSP, DS, console, GBA). The original Strangetown families have complete family trees.
 CC: Included.
Required expansions: All (World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise and Into the Future).
 Required stuff packs: None.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Download
The .rar file has a folder called “Strangetown package objects”, which should be placed in the game's Packages folder (Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages), and a .sims3pack file, which is the world itself, and should be placed in the game's Downloads folder (Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads) and be downloaded via launcher. You need to put both the .sims3pack file and the packages folder into your game.

My ideas for Tomodachi Life 2
So here are some ideas i have if they ever make a sequel to tomodachi life as it's one of my favorite 3DS game and i do also like miitopia but tomodachi life need to be remade for the switch as it's a good nintendo version of the sims franchise (i do also like the sims mainly sims 3 and 4)
Make people chose their own islands and let them place where the buildings go like animal crossing new horizons - i think this was great in animal crossing so why not put it in tomodachi life? the island in tomodachi life confuses me as it's one big island then another island with the fair, park, cafe and photo area on it and it looks like the mini can't reach that island due to it not showing a train station or anything so choosing your own island and then placing where the building go will make it a little more tidy.
Same sex marriage and raising babies - this was kinda fixed in miitopia but in that game, you couldn't get married and have children so in the sequel, have same sex couples, let them get married and let them have babies by making them say they adopted a child but you can edit the baby so it looks like the couple, this would probably fill out of lot of same sex fictional ship and i'm here for it.
change some items - when you reward you mini for a level up, you'll see in the gifts that there's a wii u and a 3DS in there, they need to be changed into a Switch and maybe a retro console as people like the older consoles like a GBA, a nintendo 64 or a SNES, also another idea i have is have more hobbie items as gifts like a drawing pad with a pencil and colouring tools to make your mii a artist , a sewing needle with thread to make your mii a sewer, knitting needles to make your mii a knitter, a crochet hook to make your mii do chochet and etc.
makes cats and dogs perminate to the miis and have breeds to the pets - i don't like that the cats and dogs are part of a pass and then when you give either a shiba inu or a different colour of the same cat, instead when you give your mii a pass, you then help your mii choose a dog breed like a labrador, a yorkshire terrier, a shiba inu, a chihuahua, a shih tzu, a collie, a golden retriever or a cat colour like black, white, orange, gray tabby, double colours, calico, tortoiseshell and etc with different shapes like a chunky cat or a skinny cat, the pet then be chilling in the apartment with the mii and then move to the house when the mii gets married, it will have its own bed, a box of toys, a litter box for the cat, a leash and collar hanging near the door for the mii to take the dog out and when your mii is at location like the beach or park, you'll see them walking their dog on their own or with a friend or a partner.
get rid of the marriage mini game - i hate it, it stresses me out everytime it happens and i just don't like it so instead, when the mii is telling you that they want to get married to another mii, give them a wedding ring from the treasures part and you can watch as the mii proposes to the other mii while you get to either control the fireworks or prepare the food.
decorate the house like what you can do in animal crossing - the apartments look so bare without furniture so why have a furniture shop added to the apartment design shop and use it to design the mii's apartment or house.
Add the editing feature from miitopia - this was a great feature in miitopia so i would love to see it in in this sequel.
That's all i got but if you have more ideas, put it in the comments and i will edit this if i have more ideas 😁

Hello Sims community! I don't interact with you guys very often because to me Sims is just second nature. I don't need a fandom, because I am the fandom ykwim?
Anyway behind the cutaway I will be ranking every game ever released for the Sims, with the exception of anything inaccessible to me, through YouTube.
I will include notes if necessary
If I missed anything please tell me
Sims 2 (PSP) - better than the PC port. Best game in the series. Really funny
Sims 2 Castaway (PC) - this one is tied with the main line game. It's just so fun to play
Sims 2 (PC) - best gameplay
Sims 3 (PC)
Sims 1 (PC)
Sims 2 life stories (PC)
Sims 2 (DS) - insanely funny
The Sims Urbs (Ds) - even funnier, but doesn't have the same vibes.
The Sims Urbs (GBA) - less than ds, but almost ties
The Sims medieval
The Sims online - what the goof was going on? A Mafia In a Sims game? Guys...
The Sims pet stories
Busting out (all ports but GBA)
My Sims agents(All ports)
My Sims kingdom (All ports)
My sims (PC, Wii)
Sims 3 (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3)
The Urbs (all ports but GBA and DS) - not my cup of tea but, if you like it it's good
The Sims 4 (PC) - absolutley ruined the series.
Sims 3 (DS)
My Sims (Ds)
Sims 3 pets (Xbox 360, PS3, and DS)
My Sims sky heros (all ports but ds)
My Sims sky heros (ds

I have added some recolors to the “Civic Idol” by Adora Wall Arts poster of different Sims console and handheld cover arts. I recommend downloading the Add-Ons as seen above for different sizing and angles. I have also created 3 more add-ons that are more square and smaller, which I find to be better suited for the GBA and DS swatches.

If you want solid vpet games about cats, the P.F. Magic Petz games are probably your best bet. Unlike a lot of virtual pet games, the cats actually act like cats rather than exhibiting dog behavior (looking at you Kinectamals) and you aren't limited in how you can play with them (looking at you Nintendogs + Cats). Plus, there's a really nice community you can join that's been going strong since the games originally released, who will be more than happy to help you get the game set up and share cool mods and custom content.
If you aren't tied to cats and want something more modern, Wobbledogs is probably the best virtual pet game to come out in a long time and has such a fun genetics system. By default the dogs do die after a certain amount of in game time, but you can toggle this in the settings if you don't like that.
Based on what you've said you want those are my main two recs, but I'll toss out some others too just in case:
Nintendogs/Nintendogs+Cats are actually quite good if you like dogs, it's just the cats that underwhelming
Creatures is a retro one that never clicked with me personally, but I know a lot of people enjoy it, and it can be found legally for cheap on Steam.
Likewise Fin Fin on Teo is retro but still popular/fondly remembered. It's a bit harder to set up but if you search on Tumblr someones set up a VM specifically for running the game.
Catz and Dogz for the GBA are surprisingly quality, though they're more like life sims/visual novels then traditional vpet games so they may not be your cup of tea
Out of the DS Petz games, I'd say Hamsterz Life/Bunnyz, Hamsterz Life 2, and maybe the Catz Clan/Dogz Pack games are the best, though it has been a while though so I could be mixing them up lol
Tales of Djungarian Hamster on switch is pretty simple, but the graphics are super cute and it goes on sale for $5 fairly often
I'm cautiously optimistic about the upcoming Little Friends Puppy Island, though I wasn't super impressed with the first game so we shall see.
Anyways, hopefully that helps! I love vpet games and have played most of them, so if you have any questions about any of these games, or even ones I didn't mention, just let me know and I'll try to help
Hello Tumblr. You can call me PT.
I am seeking game recommendations-- I want pet sims specifically.
The games Wolf has already suggested--
Nintendogs + Cats
A specific DS Petz game
Petz...4? 5? The abandonware one that has a entire community
(My friend B suggested Slime Rancher too but that is more farm sim adjacent)
I would prefer games that have cats and allow you to actually do things with the pets. I am not interested in website pet sims, Tamagotchi, or games where pets will die/run away permanently.
Thank you. (:

Sims for download: Davor Raven and Jade Pingree
Tumblr media
I'm a TS2 Pets GBA apologist, what can I say? I made a couple renders of these two a while back, and I figured I'd remake them in Body Shop (since I just quickly made them in the in-game CAS before-) and put them up for download since they're 2 of the only characters with any real personality in that game
All CC is included, although I merge all of my makeup, hair and clothing recolors I download so do be warned about that.
You're free to do whatever with them, of course, but if you want their bios and what personalities I gave them:
Everyone in Barkersville knows Davor can talk to animals, but nobody talks about him. Personality: 8/2/8/3/4
Jade Pingree is the all-business (and pretty rude) head of the Barkersville Companion Club. Personality: 7/7/8/2/1

Quick appreciation of the slightly cursed renders in the GBA manuals for the sims: bustin’ out & the urbz.
Anyways, did you know? The handbooks for the first two handheld Sims games has some unique descriptions for many of the characters!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the ‘Meet Your Neighbors’ pages of of The Sims: Bustin’ Out (GBA) and The Urbz: Sims in the City (GBA & DS) in the official game manuals.
[TRANSCRIPTION UNDER CUT]
[page 1]
MEET YOUR SIMVALLEY NEIGHBORS For a small town, SimValley has a lot of colorful characters for your Sim to get acquainted with. This section gives you a peak at just a few of the people who populate your Sim’s new home town.
Dusty Hogg - This bad boy biker plays by his own rules. While rumors around town state that he still lives with his parents, we don’t recommend you tease him about that—or anything else.
Mad Willy Hurtzya - Mad Willy knows a thing or two about going 10 rounds. Quick to solve a problem by applying his fists, he's definitely more of a fighter than a lover
Eddie Renalin - Although some Sims say that Eddie used to be a skinny twerp of a kid, those allegations have never been proven. Though short on smarts, these days Eddie's the biggest and strongest guy around town.
Bucki Brock - Bucki is a straight shooter who was born and raised right in the Valley. This is one girl who knows a cow from a steer and that's no bull.
Daddy Bigbucks - Daddy is sure enough a big spender. Your Sim will want to keep on his god side a to ensure they're near the drainpipe should any of that wealth trickle down.
Det. Dan D. Mann - Detective Dan D. Mann is the police presence in SimValley. He prides himself on keeping the SimValley streets safe and boasts that jaywalking is down 25% since he took on the beat.
[page 2]
O. Phil McClean - While O. Phil McClean isn’t the friendliest fisherman your Sim will ever meet, he does know the best spots for reeling in the biggest fish. If your Sim can get to know this crusty angler, he might tell them just what he’s using for bait.
Ephram Earl - This otherworldly neighbor is very familiar with things that go bump in the night. A bit on the loony side, this ghost can still give your Sim some of the worldly belongings that he no longer needs.
Misty Waters - Misty is responsible for keeping swimming Sims from expiring in the watery deep. She prides herself on staying fit, all the better to save lives and look good in her work uniform... a swimsuit.
Chet R. Chase - No hoity-toity, fancy French cooking for Chet R. Chase. A SimValley native, Chet serves up a tasty plate o' vittles that’s pure down home cooking.
Olde Salty - Olde Salty is the SimValley fish monger. He's a grumpy old sailor so ye'd best be wary of what ye say!
Nicki Knack - This SimValley old timer has made it her business to put her nose in everyone else's. A devoted collector of this and that, Nicki really might have a use for some of the items your Sim can't use.
Uncle Hayseed - Thanks to Uncle Hayseed’s generous invitation to come and spend the summer in SimValley, your Sim has a chance to enjoy the slower-paced life of country livin’ at its finest.
[Page 3]
Giuseppi Mezzoalto - Some Sims are suspicious of this Giuseppi and think that he sometimes uses his van for moving people's things—whether he hired or not, But when it's time to relocate, his big, roomy van does the trick for toting a Sim’s possessions across town.
In addition to this cast of characters, there are many more Sims around town who can become friends, roommates, or more!
[Page 4]
Darius - King of the Streeties, Darius has moves on the court and is a straight shooter when it comes to darts. He can usually be found at his hangout, Club Xizzle. Remember to stay away from his hotdogs.
Kris Thistle - Kris Thistle is King Tower's janitor. Outgoing, with a touch of attitude, she's more at home in her darkroom than behind a mop.
Daddy Bigbucks - Sim Valley's big spender moved to Miniopolis with plans to buy the entire city! Keep your eyes and ears open—this cat is definitely up to something.
Polly Nomial - Queen of the Nerdies and Associate Professor at the university, Polly is one smart cookie. If you're lucky, she might show you her vintage dictionary collection.
Roxanna Moxie - Flamboyant and fearless, Roxanna Moxie is the Carnival ringmaster and Queen of the Artsies. Fond of the bizarre, she counts the founding of the carnival's first freak show among her greatest achievements.
Luthor L Bigbucks III - Luthor is son and heir to Daddy Bigbucks' financial empire. A jetsetter and King of the Richies, Luthor walks the walk, but didn’t quite inherit his father’s evil streak.
[Page 5]
MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS The city is full of people for your Urb to get acquainted with. This section gives you the rundown on some of the people you'll meet.
Darius - King of the Streeties, Darius can usually be found at his hangout, Club Xizzle. Remember to stay away from his corndogs.
Kris Thistle - The King Tower janitor is outgoing, with a touch of attitude. Kris is more at home in her darkroom than behind a mop.
Daddy Bigbucks - Sim Valley's big spender moved to Miniopolis with plans to buy the entire city! Keep your eyes and ears open—he's definitely up to something.
Futo Maki - This construction worker oversaw the renovation of Splicer Island before it was shut down. Maybe you can put him back to work.
Sharona Faster - Sharona had plans to operate a water taxi to Splicer Island, until Daddy Bigbucks squashed her dream.
Jack I. Deal - This big man used to work for Daddy Bigbucks himself, but now he's got different ideas on how to earn his living.
Busta Cruz - This guy is a born entertainer. He keeps the Urbz amusement levels up.
