feels kind of, how do you say, "le ironic" that one of the biggest tensions immediately post-breakup was my posting about it, anything to do with it beyond vague nothing statements about my feelings was ~too personal~, didn't matter how tongue-in-cheek it was, postcoping was off the table so to speak. but every time they brought it up to me I took it seriously and communicated my feelings and adjusted my behaviour because I thought there was something there to salvage. then just a couple weeks after the move he's talking shit about me on his blog in a really deceptive way, and when I bring it up to him his private response was basically a complete denial to engage or take any kind of accountability, and afterwards his public defense was that he thought I wouldn't see it. which is provably untrue, I mean in the week before we moved out we had a conversation where I said I still checked in on his blog, I just didn't follow him because I didn't want it showing up on my feed. we weren't talking all the time but we were normal at that point. that part was pretty confusing, but I guess that defense wasn't for me, it was for everyone else that didn't know the situation and might believe it absent of any other information. but aside from the fact it was blatantly false it was also just kind of a stupid defense? "oh I thought this person I told I wanted to still be friends with and still checks my blog wouldn't see my post misrepresenting her. yeah it was meant to be behind her back. that makes it better somehow." who is that for? it's insane.

the mystery surrounding ghost was driving you insane. living with a primordial entity of unfathomable horrors was already a mindfuck but now you realized it could just...erase people from existence.

no one had asked about phillip, no one had shown up to seek you out since you were the last one to see him before he vanished. you even wandered into the bar he said he frequented -- and he seemed well known in. and...nothing. no one even brought up how he went home with you and never returned. no one asked about him.

it was unnerving. had ghost somehow pulled all memory of this one human out of the world along with its physical form? where did phillip even go? all you remember was being surrounded by the shadow and how hard it was to breathe -- and the horrible, inhuman scream before silence.

it had already confirmed that it wasn't a ghost. so what was it?

"ghost?" you called into the house as you returned from the bar, "can you come out so we can talk?"

as you stepped into the living room, you took a glance at the scorch mark on the floor before your attention was diverted to it -- a shadowy manifestation across from you.

it didn't speak, simply stood there. usually you would divert your eyes from its face because something about it unsettled you, but this time you stared right at it. shapes formed and faded before your eyes, making you wonder if you were really seeing them in the first place. eyes, sometimes two sometimes dozens. a vague, fading silhouette of a skull face. you wonder if it intentionally let you see these images or if it just was.

"i-i want to know..." you swallow thickly around the nervous lump in your throat, "is phillip dead?"

it was quiet for a moment, "not quite."

"what's that mean? where is he?" you prod, furrowing your brows as you stare at it, hoping that it can understand your pleading.

"why do you care?"

"b-because..." you sputtered, licking your dry lips, "i just...want to know."

"he's in the pits," it finally supplies, sounding almost bored.

"...of hell?" you sputter, "so you're a demon?"

"your hell is a bastardization of the pits," it explains, "where i come from is not hell. it's worse, darker. that's where i put the human."

"can you...can you bring him back..?" you whisper.

ghost's shadow flickers and it falls silent for a moment before speaking again, "i could. but you don't want that."

you can't help but think you'll regret asking but you do anyway, "...why?"

"he's not the same anymore," it explains, "it's much kinder to simply leave him in the pits."

you're not sure how to take that. it doesn't answer any of your questions. what exactly are the pits? what happens in them? what is happening to phillip down there?

"ghost..." you take a small step back and you swear you see it's head cock to the side curiously, "what are you?"

"you can consider me a demon if you wish," it responded, taking a step forward to follow you.

your heart skips a beat, "but you're not."

"no," it answers with ease.

"so tell me what you are," you demand, growing tired of these mind games it's playing with you.

"i don't think your human mind can comprehend just what i am," it says.

"try me," you challenge, already mentally slapping yourself.

"no," it responds.

your temper flares, "just tell me, damn you! what the hell are you?"

suddenly, the shadow grows in size -- as do your eyes. you watch as it takes up more space in the room, that overpowering weight on your body making you wince. it makes the room feel so heavy, makes your bones ache to the marrow.

you're not sure how you know -- despite the fact it's not saying anything; you know you've made it very angry. your eyes lock onto his shadowy form, making out the horrible, unsettling images of eyeballs inside the darkness that flicker in and out of your vision.

nausea settles like a pit in your stomach and you double over, dropping to your hands and your knees to keep yourself from throwing up. your head throbs and aches, a ringing in your ears only makes the pain worse. it feels like your eyes are going to pop out of their sockets from the overwhelming pressure growing inside your skull.

"s-stop..." you manage to choke out before you slump against the floor.

then, all at once it's gone. you gasp for air once it finally feels like there's nothing coiling around your lungs and tears trickle down your cheeks. you're not sure if you're trembling from the pain or from the fear you just experienced.

you can't bring yourself to uncurl yourself from the ball you've found yourself in on the floor.

you're acutely aware that ghost hasn't left -- in fact, you can hear it's heavy footsteps on the creaky wooden floor as it approaches you. it kneels down, disturbing the air around you with the movement.

you feel a strange weight on your head and it takes your foggy mind a moment to realize that it's touching you. as if it had reached a hand out and was tenderly petting your head, consoling you.

a silent apology before it vanishes completely.

when you finally uncurl and look around, you see yet another strange, scorch mark on the ground where it had stood.

you realize instantly that those scorch marks are a manifestation of it's anger. pure, unbridled rage that leaves a physical mark on the ground where it stands.

you swallow thickly and close your eyes again, deciding that standing is much too hard for now.

It would take quite some time for Aventurine to move from the pre-relationship stage with you. Will dance around the subject, throwing hints and flirty remarks but as for making an actual move? Oof.

Would cling to your side and shamelessly say something like "aww, can't get enough of me? people may think we're dating <З unless that's what you want them to think haha"

Pathetic. /affectionally.

But seriously, he really wants to be sure that you like him before making a move. That you like him, not his money, not the idea of him. At least that's what he tells himself. And while this is part of the reason, the actual thing is that he's simply... confused. He's already more vulnerable around you than he ever was around anyone else. And dating means being even more vulnerable.

While he yearns for this genuine connection he's also a scared of it. Tim Kreider wrote the line "If we want the rewards of being loved we have to submit to the mortifying ordeal of being known" about him actually.

It would take some time for him to get used to being in relationship. In the previous post I've mentioned that he, most likely, had some short flings in the past. I seriously doubt that he ever had any serious relationship before you though. It's so new to him. At first it would seem like nothing has changed between the two of you at all. Surprisingly, it looks like he even became a bit more distant.

Aventurine doesn't want to attract any unwanted attention to your relationship since it will only endanger you. Plus he doesn't want to overwhelm you. Plus he doesn't want to overwhelm himself. Plus he is scared shitless.

He can't help but feel that he looses everything he holds dear. After all, it's been like that for all of his life. And he simply can't loose you.

Mini spoiler for his leaked character story, but there is a moment there when he looks at the aventurine stone Diamond gave him and he realizes that despite the fact that he worked so hard for it, now that he has it, it holds no real value since it doesn't fill the emptiness inside of him. Logically, he knows that this won't happen with you. He loves you too much. But there's this subconscious fear inside of him that he's just so messed up inside that he simply would not be able to love you like you deserve.

Be patient with him, this mans doesn't know what he's doing. Don't give up on him and he'll crawl to your side, holding onto you for dear life.

Once he will calm down a bit, he'll make it up for all those times when you were the one reaching out to him. Texts you, calls you, arranges spontaneous dates.

In the beginning of relationship would spoil you with expensive gifts. He knows what it's like to have nothing so he doesn't want you to ever feel this way. And the best way to prevent it? To make sure that you will have anything and everything. Maybe it's a subconscious way to bribe you. Maybe. Not like he realizes it himself.

Once he'll feel more stable and more confident, his gift giving tendencies will get less overwhelming. He still like giving you gifts but now he picks and chooses. His sugar darling deserves only the best, after all.

Acts all clingy, playful and unserious but actually listens to your every word and is ready to fulfil your every need.

Is actually very caring. Shows his care by pestering you and easing you tho.

If you feel down, will sit stay by your side. May randomly start tickling you, if you're ticklish. If not, will find another way to touch you in a playful and somewhat annoying way. After you cheer up a bit, Aven will put his chin on your shoulder and hugs your waist, softly asking what happen and why is his dearest darling seems sad.

As for kisses. Aven will loooove covering your face with butterfly kisses. And not only your face. Will randomly grab your hand and kiss your knuckles and fingertips. If you've made a mistake of exposing your shoulder then be ready for it to be kissed endlessly.

Adores kissing those parts of your body that are usually covered with clothes. It feels fore intimate for him.

And if you have freckles or/and beauty marks. Oh well. Will trace them with his fingertips, connecting them with some invisible lines and sometimes gasp playfully, saying that he found his constellation. Just a silly little guy being a silly little guy.

So touch-starved it's unreal.

Has very mixed feeling about his tattoo being kissed. Would feel... weirs if you would kiss it during your casual cuddling session. He exposes it for the world to see, yes. But still, when it attracts attention of someone who knows the meaning behind it... Makes him a bit tense, it catches him off-guard. However, if you kiss it after a lovemaking session or when he shares some painful memories with you, he will feel reassured.

Will slowly start crawling out of his shell when he's with you. Before he only shared some brief memories of his past with you, now he'll start slowly opening up about other, much more painful stuff.

It still happens randomly and out of the blue. He remembers something, he tenses up. But now, instead of repressing this feelings, he shares them with you.

Don't push him too talk, he'll slowly open up on his own.

Loves waking up next to you. Especially if you're still asleep. Seeing the sun shining on your face fills him with love and tenderness. Only with you by his side he feels truly safe.

HI WATCH OUT FOR UNDERTALE YELLOW SPOILERS . ANYWAY

watched the ut yellow neutral end and ohhh i am losing my MIND... just. thinking about how flowey is only willing to move on in the true pacifist route. the route where he sees kindness and a genuine want to help others in a human child. asriel died to save humans because of the people he was surrounded with. toriel asgore and chara are people who feel very strongly for those around them and he couldn't take human lives when the only human he knew was chara. a kid who cares enough about the people around them to sacrifice themself, just like the way his parents are.

flowey comments on toriel letting herself go because she cares so much and how we wouldn't have to feel so bad if we simply didn't care. his whole coping mechanism is distancing himself from others and Not Caring because if he allows himself to feel it'll just completely destroy him. he felt for the humans on the surface even when they were attacking him and the way he treats clover in neutral vs pacifist says a lot about his want to see good in others.

hes constantly pushing frisk to go with options that benefit everyone and while he worries about clover caring about those around him he seems to really appreciate it. at any moment he could just do whatever he wants with clover's life. the only route in which flowey allows them to make their own choices with their life is when they're being a good person and he just can't help but call them a friend because that's the type of person he's always wanted to be around. that's the type of person that's home to him!!

and i keep thinking about how he just couldn't let clover live out their life with toriel in the ruins. something something toriel trying to make up for feeling like she failed asriel and chara and flowey feeling replaced and clover being stuck in a small place for the rest of their life. i have thoughts on this that i don't know how to put into words but i'm not at all surprised flowey wasn't okay with that. of Course he wasn't. hes flowey. he has every issue ever. i think that allowing clover to live with toriel would make flowey feel like he really has to accept that he can't just go back to the past and he's not ready to come to terms with anything that's happened yet

flowey always insists he doesn't care and he can't feel as a result of his trauma but it's so clear from his regret and fondness for people who are compassionate that compassion is something he always strives for. even though he doesn't understand and can't understand it's always something he wants to see in others. it hurts to be compassionate and to love others and it's why he blocks it out but at the end of the day he's the same person who sacrificed himself and his sibling to save who knows how many people both in the underground and surface, and the same person who let go of what he believed to be the only way he could stay "himself" for the sake of freeing monsters.

he's such a fascinating character... his mind and heart are at war with each other and i love how undertale yellow goes into this with the way they portray how he reacts to clover's death in the pacifist route. "maybe you've earned your rest" and calling them a friend after trying to act tough... he really respects when others are truly kind despite what some might consider common sense. i don't know where i'm going with this anymore but i hope u guys get it. just imagine i am gripping ur shoulders and pointing at flowey frantically

neil doesn't have a martyr complex

i'm back !!! with another essay about neil josten and how grossly mischaracterised he is by the fandom. i went into this a little bit in my previous essay but would u look at that i have more to say. what else is fucking new. anyway spoilers ahead continue at ur own risk.

a martyr complex is a recognised psychological pattern. it's marked by self-sacrifice and service to others at your own expense. signs of martyr complex include: always needing to be the hero, a lack of self-care, doing too much, having unrealistic values, and doing everything themselves.

above is the google definition of a martyr complex and signs and symptoms of it. i'm now gonna deep dive into why neil does not have a martyr complex and i actually think he doesn't even have sacrificial lamb tendencies like this fandom seems to think.

for the majority of the series, neil literally is the exact opposite of a martyr. i've said it already, but the whole premise of aftg is literally neil staying at psu despite the danger to himself and to others. he is fully and completely aware that him staying at psu and the foxhole court puts himself in the spotlight, allowing his father's people to find him more easily, and also puts all the foxes in danger simply by existing in proximity. he knows that no matter what he says, his father's people (by the time they catch up to him) will want to be 100% certain that no one knows about the butcher of baltimore and the sort of work he does, and they probably wouldn't just take neil's word for it. neil is super realistic and pragmatic and he probably knew that there was a high chance of some or all of the foxes getting killed by his father's people and because of him. despite that, he was willing to take the risk. was it selfish? yeah. and it's a big part of his character arc that he actually finds himself caring enough about the foxes to put himself in danger for them. nevertheless, neil does stay with the foxes out of courage and determination, but a good amount of selfishness also factored into that decision. and he knew it from the beginning. he knew that his actions had repercussions on the foxes, and he knew what sort of business he was dragging them into the whole time, and while he was sorry it fell back on them, he is never sorry for doing what he does (he literally says almost exactly that in canon). despite him saying he doesn't want to gamble with the foxes' lives at the end of tfc, literally everything he does in the next couple of books is a direct contradiction to that. most everything neil does is something of a calculated risk. sometimes it's not even calculated it's just instinctive. normalise having unreliable main characters who can be hypocritical sometimes.

his agreement to go to evermore over christmas wasn't an act of self-sacrifice or martyrdom. andrew likes to describe neil as a martyr but i think we as readers take that too much at face value. andrew says a lot of stuff about neil that we as readers can safely disregard. neil himself doesn't think he's that selfless and honestly i think he's right. his decision to go to evermore over the break was undoubtedly for andrew and to protect him, but i don't think that's really "self-sacrifice". he knew he was gonna have a terrible time but he also knew there was no way r*ko would kill him, not when they were in the messy middlegame of it all. nora specifically says that kevin notes how out of character it was for neil to throw away all of those carefully cultivated survival instincts and in-built fear like that, and he's right. it is out of character. it's a demonstration of neil's inherent desire to be a good person and also his strong moral compass and priorities. r*ko threatened andrew and told neil specifically what would happen to andrew if neil didn't go along, and neil's conscience wasn't gonna let him just walk away like that. especially bc he knew he'd make it out alive, there was really no reason neil would refuse. he was there to protect andrew the same way andrew is willing to protect all his loved ones. it wasn't an act of martyrdom, it was an act of, dare i say, love? kevin clocks neil's feelings specifically because of this decision, and i think it's critical to understand that he doesn't go to evermore out of a need to play the hero or some twisted desire to shoulder other people's burdens, he goes to evermore because he loves and cares about andrew, and also just because inherently there was no way he could sit idle while a threat like that was passed about someone he cared about so much (and also someone who'd protected him that much).

neil's character arc isn't about learning selflessness. this might honestly be a hot take, but i stand firm that neil's character arc is a lot more about courage and learning to care for people than it is self-sacrifice and selflessness. neil says "i realised i didn't want to be that person anymore, i want to go back for you". this isn't actually him saying: "i want to die for you, i would die for you, i would sacrifice myself for you" this is him saying: "i would willingly put myself in danger for you, and for me. i don't want to be someone who ducks and runs and. i don't want to be a coward anymore. i want to go back for you and fight for you because i care about you enough to." for someone who's spent his whole life leaving a bloody trail of bodies behind, this is a pretty reasonable assumption to make, that his arc would be learning how to let people in and learning to care about other people. does neil have a penchant for putting himself in danger willingly for other people? yeah. but let's go a little deeper into that; neil doesn't do it out of a desire to play the hero, a sense of self-service or a lack of self-worth or self-care. he does it because he cares about them. read the series back and realise neil isn't at all averse to being in dangerous situations or even getting into risky ones, but he is very averse to getting attached to and caring about other people. he was raised with a mentality of things being temporary, of cutting his losses and never trusting or caring about anyone except himself. aftg is about him unlearning that, learning to let people in, to trust and care about people, and his actions demonstrate that.

his decision to not run in baltimore was never about sacrificing himself. he was smart enough to know it was too late to run, and also the fact that running would be exactly the opposite of the person he's grown over the course of the series to become. he lets himself get kidnapped because he knows this was coming, and he cares about the foxes and knows they will come to less harm if he goes quietly (see above). his decision to let his father's people take him is very very in-character and it's also just completely reasonable. he knew this was coming and by then he knows that if he was ever gonna run he should've done it months earlier. he decided to stick around and knew this would be the consequences, and i honestly think he's come to terms with it by then. it wasn't a fleeting moment of sacrificing himself for other people, it was just him living out the consequences of his decisions. there was nothing for him to do; he's seen this coming already.

neil's sense of self worth is pretty strong. i already bitched about this to no end in my other essay so i won't go into it rn but just know: neil isn't the jittery, insecure and uncertain softboy the fandom makes him out to be. he's realistic and confident about his and other people's abilities and he harbours zero delusions about what he can and can't do. he also has no trouble standing up for himself. he specifically lets kevin and the cousins treat him like shit in the beginning of tfc bc he doesn't want them to know how much of an instigator he is and we all saw how well that went down. any time after that that anyone tries to have a go at him he literally just tears them a new one and knocks them down a peg and he does it with ease. neil is not a doormat he is not a pushover he doesn't need anyone's help protecting or standing up for him. fucking hell.

.I've been watching Robert Irwin and Dave Salmoni take wild animals onto the Jimmy Shows and scare the Jimmy's and various other guest stars sOooooo... I had to make this XD

Plot: We are gonna hand each horror Villains a dangerous animal and see how they handle it. Warnings: Swearing. No actual mention of meerkats despite the gif.

Audrey II: A European Brown Hare.

Audrey II, staring at this hare stood up on its hind legs giving them the Eye: ... that is one ugly bunny rabbit. Y/N: AUDREY TWO!!- Audrey II: wh- AM I WRONG?-

Audrey II has no fear, they're a plant from outer space. He also doesn't particularly care for animals though, since its pretty globally accepted that animals are allowed to eat plants when they're peckish... and understandably, they are not having that. Not in this green house XD Nu uh, no siree, nope nope nope, the hare is gonna get eaten first if he even looks at Audrey II wrong.

Billy Loomis: An Emperor Scorpion.

Y/N: Close your eyes and put out your hands. Quickly calms down when the kangaroo starts simply munching on the leaves* Y/N: See? ^^ Bubba: *Already petting the kangaroo. Wants to take her home and keep her safe and pet her and give her leaves forever.*

Bubba does not love casually 😅😅😅 Once he's warmed up to someone, that person is his family and he wants to keep them safe. My suggestion?? Sneak the kangaroo back to the zoo in the dead of night while Bubba's asleep. (or call Drayton. He certainly don't want no goddamn kangaroo in his house)

Carrie White: A Boa Constrictor.

Carrie: Um, is this safe?? *Eyeing the snake's head closely as you place her gently over her shoulders* ... Y/N: Oh yeah, don't worry, this one's a sweetheart ^^ Carrie: Okay... *snake raises her head and looks around very peacefully, just surveying the room* Oh, she's sweet!... Carrie was apprehensive at first, but when she realises that the boa is not feeling threatened (or hungry), she relaxes and spends quite a while with the snake in her arms! ^^ She's disappointed when she has to say goodbye ):

Freddy was SO EXCITED to meet an animal, but now he's got some concerns about those teeth and his privates.

... this is a giant toothy puppy to Jason XD Jason loves wildlife, they were his friends growing up in the woods! ^^ And he knows how to keep them calm, so he's very good with them. He hangs out with the bear until its time to go outside, then Jason follows him outside and hangs with him out there ^^

Jennifer Check: A White Rhinoceros.

Jennifer, as soon as Grizelda the rhino steps in: -oh jesus fucking christ. Jennifer: You're fat. Y/N: Oy! Jennifer: What??? She's meant to be, right?? 🙄 G o d... look who's animal-cist. Jennifer: ... can I feed the fat bitch?

The fact that this is an animal does not change a thing about the way Jennifer talks to her XD She is so fascinated, though, and wants to feed Grizelda, pet Grizelda, ask many many questions about Grizelda... she loves her.

Jerry Dandridge: A Perentie Monitor Lizard (Goanna).

Y/N, helping goanna onto Jerry's lap: Now, be careful with Sandy, he can be kinda easily startled and then his claws will cut into your skin, and- Jerry: *Getting along great with the Sandy, Sandy is in the best mood you have ever seen him in; purring.* Y/N: ... Y/N: ... wtf, how?! Sandy's usually so grumpy!- Jerry: Oh I guess we just have a connection~

Jerry and reptiles get along great, they're cold blooded and he... is always cold. He has no blood. He's a vampire XD Try giving him a puppy, though, and watch that puppy leap away from him and growl like a possessed thing (Jerry gets so frowny about it XD).

I really appreciate how it seems everyone seems to have their own priorities when it comes to Fairy Tail redesigns tbh, like mine are "what if they were butch" half the time or "what if their outfit was more functional"

What's your take on Irene I'm curious? She's the latest woman I'm hitting with the butch beam but in general I haven't really seen people redesign her much despite her fucking ATROCIOUS outfit

The easy part is my mentality with redesigns, I usually just go for what I personally find aesthetically pleasing while adding in visual storytelling with their personalities. Like all the dragon slayers having varying levels of draconic features for plot or lucys main fit being an equestrian horse riding uniform to allude to how she ran away from home.

Ok so I have gotten asks about my opinions on Irene and silver and all that so the tldr is that I don't actually remember a lot of the late ft stuff bc I genuinely just got bored and didn't like it.

I plan on rewatching a lot of this but FROM THE LITTLE I DO REMEMBER here r my thoughts:

From jump I think bringing back Irene or silver is a detriment to both erzas and grays character arcs. They happen at a point in the series where we were never even remotely interested in who their birth parents r and seemingly neither did either of them so to bring them up out of no where feels like shock value to me.

There's just very little emotional investment because again AT THIS POINT in the story both of them r suppose to have grown where they see the guild as their family regardless of blood ties. This is kinda emphasized/ addressed by having erza be like the only parent I recognize is my guild master but also then y make it her mom in the first place if it doesn't hold any emotional stakes??

Specifically Irene, I think making her related to dragons is cheap and weird, erza before this has never been hinted at to have any kind of connection to dragons so again we have this weird shock value nonsense feeling

Like ugh if u WANTED to make it work then at the very least they could have made Irene more mother gothel energy where she's actively trying to coax erza into loving her and playing the role of the loving doting mother only to turn out to have been evil the whole time or something to at least CHALLENGE erza emotionally since so much of her arc has been learning to let ppl in so having it back fire this late in the show would have been interesting to me.

Irene just taking over Wendy's body happened so fast and easy also u can't tell me that Irene has never heard of the other dragon slayers so what would it have changed to just make this her plan all along and that's y she wanted to get close to erza and gain her trust. Like give it an arc or something with the twist at the end that she was grooming wendyas her new body and make the ritual more involved that it needed some level of trust or willingness from Wendy which would in turn make erza feel awful for putting her trust in Irene at all

I'm spitballing idk but all this to say that having a main supporting characters parents come back from the dead to be a nothing villain that they defeat the same as everyone else is lame

well first of all you bring up the very good point that there are actually multiple Qs at play and not just one, despite the fandom's (and my) attempts to simplify things. I personally am open to the possibility that Harry and Louis are no longer together- we don't have enough info to say for sure either way about that, and I am constantly recalibrating and considering and I'm going to be totally honest, getting flat out ANNOYED at how often I find myself being like oh damn they ARE still (or again) together ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? aiku: i left bllk the first time right before u20 so let me tell you how amused i am when this guy is more than what i expected. if bllk wc team doesn't have him as captain im asking ego WHY. like as a captain? aiku really got my respect. like his canon cheating aside, one of the most decent dudes who can admit their faults out loud. if bllk was about defender instead of striker he would SHINE as a main rival. he kinda already does tho. the whole cop roleplay with isagi was so funny in an amusing way. honestly i really like his writing as a character. very mature, but his selfish bet was really telling of the another side of his character too. 7.5/10. minus point because i cant write him and im mad about it!!! barou: first time reading bllk, when isagi chose him i think it becomes one of those moments that really cements bllk. like?? the canon fodder villain who usually was just relevant in the first arc???? become one of the main rivals now???? also he is so housewife and why lmao. also put him and rin in a room. it will either end with a massacre or just them ignoring each other. honestly tho, he is funny to me because this guy has the Deep Voice but then he opens his mouth, call himself king, also dye his hair before uber vs bm match, and i remember how he truly is lmao. also the bowling and his whole dynamic with nagi are so entertaining. like nagi doesn't have to try to piss him off. hilarious. as a chara, 7/10, minus point simply because while dating him in rl sounds like a healthier option, i like my man a blaring red flag. on field a 9/10 because his whole asshole personality comes out and things get interesting

karasu: this guy is like. i am really mixed about him because i think fanon give him more dimension and raises more interesting points than canon has done him so far. but honestly, considering self aware he was and the rare moments the series gave him? he is an interesting character to have in a sport manga. this guy is realistic as shit, and he is also very self-aware of his own downsides. like. read his trivia. this guy is interesting honestly. another one i wish will work with isagi simply just to see more of him. also he is such a little shit but he is funny about it so it's okay. so, yeah, canon wise i don't really can say much about him (yet? idk). but there is this version of him i seen in a gen fic from the red white holy websites of fanfic that just makes me: yo. i wanna see more spotlight on this crow. so uhhhh 6/10 too?

A dumb question from an old fogie about the newfangled lingo

By which I mean a 30 something who is out of touch with modern Tumblr and the broader pagan/satanic/witchcraft community after sitting in a corner for several years

As an eclectic pagan who has dealt with a lot of gatekeeping, and as a member of the queer community who has dealt with a lot of gatekeeping around labels specifically, I just legitimately don't know if 'satanist' or 'satanic' are accurate descriptors of my current practice, or if theistic satanists would find my using these labels confusing or uncomfortable. I like demonolater, I understand it and feel it fits, but like 90% of people don't know what the fuck that is. Theistic lucifarian? Sure, I love Lucifer, I work with him a lot, I'm polytheistic about it but it fits. But it also seems to be very fringe, like a much smaller bucket. And despite seeming self explanatory often requires a surprising amount of footnotes for people unfamiliar.

Like, I can callyself enby and acespec and so on, but sometimes it's a lot easier to just use the much broader 'queer'. I have no idea if people consider 'satanist' an umbrella in the same way or not, or if there is a proper umbrella for demon/infernal based practice. The biggest reason I hesitate to use the label is that, while I work with Lucifer and other infernal divinities, I don't really work with Satan. I mean, I guess just because I rarely worked with big names like Aset didn't make me less Kemetic?

But again I am not sure if that applies here. Largely because there is so much soup in the theistic vs non theistic satanic community. The other part being that my views on Satan as an entity/aspect are different from many others? I sometimes think of Lucifer in his 'aspect of Satan' and other demons the same way, but I don't want to like... Encroach on the space of theistic satanists who are venerating Satan as a specific entity or as the All. But I am very theistic. Polytheistic still, but just saying 'pagan' no longer feels entirely accurate.

There is definitely a place where the pagan and infernal divinity followers, who I want to group as satanists but am not entirely sure I should, overlap, and it is where I am, but there is def a feeling of leaving out an important part of myself by just saying pagan (the same way bi doesn't feel right compared to pan) and also not wanting to deal with people in pagan circles who would be bothered/offended/concerned by my work with infernal beings. And I am tired of saying theistic lucifarian electric pagan demonolater every time I have to describe myself.

And personal identity crisis aside, I also just wanna ask if I should be tagging some of these posts as theistic satanism or not? I avoided it in the past month simply because I felt weirdly unqualified to use the label, not because I have anything against it. But I couldn't help but notice the names of blogs liking my more recent posts often being Satanist identifying in some way. Hence my reconsideration and curiosity.

The longer I have spent interacting with Tumblr and social spaces again, the more it seems like satanism is, in fact, a fairly broad umbrella that people would be happy to include demonolatry or Lucifarianism under, with nitty gritty details of practice not relevant so long as it generally involves working with infernal divinities or largely infernal pantheon. But uh, my neurodivergence is not super well equipped to parse that kinda thing with only online circles to compare to, and that does not instill me with confidence. So u know fuck it I'm just gonna ask even if I look like an idiot ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ rip the fragile probably non-existent image of my having my shit together haha.

BLOGTOBER 10/20/2024: WOMAN OF THE HOUR

I would have had a lot more to say about this movie if I sat down to write closer to when I saw it, but maybe it's better that I did not wind up spending as much time as possible on something so frustrating. [EDIT: I wound up spending as much time as possible anyway, OH WELL.] Luckily, I think I can lay out the fundamental problem pretty easily:

Anna Kendrick wants to tell a story about how show business forces women to be complicit in their own objectification. >> In real life, unsettling creep Rodney Alcala posed as a professional photographer in order to victimize women who might have avoided him otherwise. (That is almost all I need to say, but anyway) Despite being violent and unstable, he slipped through the cracks of a faulty justice system. His fashionable headshots got him cast on The Dating Game, but in person everyone found him immediately disturbing including contestant Cheryl Bradshaw. >> Anna Kendrick makes a movie about how Rodney Alcala was so sweet and cuddly and charming that his victims were totally tricked by his seductive personality, just like every serial killer you have ever heard of. PS The Dating Game was a bastion of Hollywood misogyny, the end.

I mean what was she thinking? The story is RIGHT THERE. In Hollywood, women are victimized by the men behind the cameras. Serial killer Rodney Alcala used his camera to exploit vulnerable women. Like this is not hard. But instead we have this long regurgitated Ted Bundy-type cliche about how DID U GUYS KNOW psychopaths are often charismatic and manipulative and a lot of people think they are nice at first. Not only is that boring, and not only does it miss what seems to be WOMAN OF THE HOUR's main point about the perils of show business, but it is also not the line on Alcala. I mean, I'm sure some people found him charming at first, anything is possible, but the usual narrative with him is that he was clearly "off" and had a long criminal record, but his cover story about being a professional photographer was persuasive enough that a lot of people died for it.

I would also add that if we must absolutely insist that Alcala's chief quality was being overpoweringly seductive, then they should have cast someone who is actually like that. Daniel Zovatto really doesn't work for me. He's slouchy, dough-faced, marble-mouthed, anonymous, and has a terminal lack of gravity. I can kind of tell from the script that he's supposed to be alluring, but it is simply not happening on the screen at all. He might get away with being that uncompelling if he really looked like Alcala, which he certainly does not. Whether or not one finds him sexy, Alcala was undeniably striking, with exaggeratedly chiseled features and all that crazy Kenny G hair; it is not at all enough to just get a random Latino actor and stick a long, limp wig on him. What you ideally want is someone who presents like Tom Cruise, who looks and acts like the fashionable male du jour, but he's pushy, he's weird, you can tell there's something sort of wrong with him. What you preferably want is someone who also looks even remotely like the highly recognizable, real-life person he's supposed to be.

My aversion to Daniel Zovatto's look actually ties into my general problem with the way the whole movie looks. Other people have pointed out that Zovatto and Kendrick look so little like their real-life counterparts that you have to wonder if anyone on the set had ever heard of hair and makeup. If it were a simpler, more naturalistic movie, it could be OK to fudge the visual details, but much of the film has this heightened cartoon quality that actually made it hard for me to understand how seriously I was supposed to take it all.

Frankly, I didn't feel like Anna Kendrick took this very seriously. I think she really wanted to tell her own story about how it's hard to be a smart brunette in Hollywood, but if you are a Girl Boss then you could still totally kick ass on The Dating Game and flip the script on all the lame-o sexist pigs...which is a pretty embarrassingly unrealistic part of this movie. Another embarrassingly unrealistic part of the movie is when we are introduced to an entire secondary cast of characters who have nothing to do but support the ridiculous idea that one of Alcala's victims was in the audience, and she freaked out and she made a big scene, and she went to the ends of the earth to get justice but nobody listened. It's just confusing to add a fictional component that gigantic to a movie that is being marketed so forcefully as a True Story. And doing this totally undermines all the real, actual, extraordinary injustices that make up the whole Alcala history.

Part of the reason I didn't like how Alcala is portrayed as this Dracula guy who seduces beautiful ladies, is that a significant part of his criminal career was devoted to doing absolutely appalling, unrepeatable things to children. This guy was really, really bad news, and everyone should have known it, and he only got by because of our deranged justice system and, to some degree, the popular acceptance that show business types are a little creepy and you just have to put up with that if you want a career. I feel like Anna Kendrick was simply not prepared to deal with the real story here, but she just wouldn't back down from her personal fantasy about Cheryl Bradshaw, so now we have this movie where Rodney Alcala is portrayed as a sexy exciting werewolf guy and Cheryl Bradshaw just has to like do Girl Power on him to defeat his wily ways.

I actually don't have anything against Anna Kendrick, she's decent in her movie and I can kind of understand why she wanted to tell a certain version of this story. But I guess I think she should have positioned this as more "loosely based" on the Alcala story and changed some names, or possibly she could even have eliminated the entire Alcala backstory component and made it a focused study of the life of someone like Cheryl Bradshaw *leading up to* her meeting a monster in the absurd context of a game show. I think there were probably a number of ways to do this movie that weren't so shallow, misguided, and egotistical, but the end result here just gave me the creeps for all the wrong reasons.

Actually, I have a simpler way to explain why I disliked this so intensely. Years ago I went to a screening of a movie called THE OTHER LAMB with the director in attendance; the film is about a kind of stereotypical cult where the girls all dress like sacrificial virgins and they're all jealously trying to be the main sister-wife of the leader who is kind of hubba, and eventually something goes wrong and one of them realizes she should escape...I forget the details, it wasn't stellar. The important part is that the director spoke about how she's just obsessed with cults and she listens to every podcast and watches every TV show about them because they're so freaky, but she totally doesn't get why the cult leaders are always grody old farts, like why would any chick be in a cult where they have to fuck a gross dude? So I guess instead of absorbing any information at all about how cults work, what the power dynamics are, and how cult members usually come to harm, she decided to write a version that she personally would understand better in which the cult leader is a mega hottie so it makes sense that everyone wants to suck his dick. Which was so astonishing to me, and so weirdly victim-blaming -- like cult victims must secretly want it, that's the only explanation for why they get exploited...I'm really permanently angry about that movie now. And I got a similar feeling from WOMAN OF THE HOUR, as if it's saying that we must imagine Rodney Alcala to be incredibly desirable, because otherwise everyone who fell prey to him must have been a huge dumbass.

No need for a huge intro on this one. There's no theme and no through line, just 10 delightfully diverse classics. Oh shit, now I have a name for this post.

1998 "New Noise" - Refused

I have to thank The Bear for this one. "New Noise" was used to great effect in the 3rd season of Hulu/FX's hit restaurant show. Refused has always been a band much cooler than my tastes. Sticking to the punk ethos rather than just the sound, the band has some strong feelings about conformity. This track's intro is a perfect walk-up song, and a perfect first track at a live show, so naturally, it goes first. Blending elements of punk, hardcore, and techno, Refused has a sound that's hard to nail down. "New Noise" sounds at home anywhere between 1975 and 2025 and that's hella exciting.

1965 "In My Life" - The Beatles

My love for The Beatles started when my aunt Lisa made 2-3 mix tapes with basically everything you'd want to hear from them. "In My Life" was one of the tracks she gave me. It wasn't until much later that I realized it was kind of a deep cut. Sure, everyone knows it, but it was never a single and doesn't get the play other Beatles tracks get. It's one of those songs whose words and instruments miraculously communicate the same sentimentality which leads to tears more often than expected.

2024 "Not Like Us" - Kendrick Lamar

One of the newest tracks I've ever included also doubles as the end of Drake's career. I'm not huge fan of 'diss' tracks. They seem petty and short sighted. The shelf life of a diss track is typically VERY short, but "Not Like Us" has transcended being just a diss-track. It does this on the strength of the sample and Kendrick's undeniable flow. As for the diss, the most memorable one is of course the pediphile call-out, the track could have been solely about that and coasted to the hall of fame, but the last verse where Kendrick buries Drake's credibility is absolute destruction. It doesn't take much to see that Drake came into the rap world through the side door, but to lay it all out with the climax calling Drake a colonizer is murder.

1982 "There's Only One Way To Rock" - Sammy Hagar

Not much to say about this one. Hagar is a rock king, and has been on this list before, but last time it was a Van Hagar situation. I know a lot of people would probably include "I Can't Drive 55" but for my money this track is the definitive Sammy Hagar track. It's energy is pure rock and it's self awareness is a mark in its favor.

2021 "good 4 u" - Olivia Rodrigo

Speaking of coming in through the side door, Olivia Rodrigo is not a rock star. I'm not trying to be a gatekeeper here, but anyone who gets their start on a Disney show cannot simply step into the "Rock" genre and be taken seriously. I like to call what she's doing Costume Rock. It's an outsider cosplaying as a rock star either because it's trendy or they think they can make it their niche. Obviously, that doesn't take away from the artist's ability to write great tracks. "good 4 u" is quite perfect from start to finish, but at its core, it's a pop song with chunky guitars, and in the end that's perfectly fine.

1993 "John Deere Green" - Joe Diffie

I've got a country problem. Most of the country songs I've highlighted have been from the early 90s, during the Garth-fueled renaissance of the genre and I don't know how to get out of it. "John Deere Green" is one joke away from being a novelty track, which is really the Joe Diffie sweet spot. All the troupes are here, story-telly lyrics, twangy guitars, and a southern drawl, hell Diffie even sported a mullet in '93. Despite the song's inherent silliness, there's something endearing about the whole love story, and it's hard to hear the song without at least smirking. Oddly enough I want a movie adaption of this weird little tale.

1960 "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" - The Shirelles

Raise your hand if you knew this song was co-written by Carol King. Yeah, me neither. Such a simple song with a pure tone and beautiful performances throughout. As a song from 1960, it sounds exactly of its time, it even feels like a Motown track. If you told me this was a Supremes, Marvelettes, or even Martha and the Vandellas track I'd believe you. I don't have much else to say, except I'm glad this song has made it as a permanent staple of pop culture.

2016 "Death of a Bachelor" - Panic! At the Disco

I've been trying to choose a Panic song for this dumb project for nearly a decade and as you can tell here, I'm a huge fan of the band. However, as consistent as they were for about 13 years they never had a song that just knocked me off my feet. Think of it as a bunch of 7.5s and never a 10. Well "Death of a Bachelor" a song I've always loved, but always overlooked, finally has made the list. As the title song from the album of the same name, this track seems to mark the beginning of the end of the band. Thematically, it's Brenden Urie saying goodbye to a chaotic Bachelor life and thus giving in to the end of youth. It's a beautifully eclectic song with everything from a horn section to an unmistakable hip-hop beat. All of that pairs nicely with Urie's booming vocals.

1988 "Mother" - Danzig

Written as a brash condemnation of the late 80s PMRC, "Mother" is a hard-hitting set-ending banger that is instantly recognizable. Released originally in '88, the song didn't get major airplay until it was released in '93. Maybe the world just wasn't ready for it in '88. What's wild is, that the rock landscape in '93 was wildly different and much less friendly to Danzig's genre of Heavy Metal, but "Mother" was still able to crack through the grunge-filled airwaves.

1980 "Redemption Song" - Bob Marley & the Wailers

This is a song that's been on deck FOREVER. The only reason I know any Bob Marley is because my Music Appreciation professor at Hinds Community College in 2001 insisted on using him heavily in the curriculum. "Redemption Song" feels more powerful than it probably is. Its got a plodding rhythm and a light guitar plucking backing a clearly emotional message. This track can easily sneak up on you, especially if you haven't heard it in a while. Before you know it, there you are, in a pool of tears, wondering where all the emotions came from.

reader is always on the move and always thinking ahead (until an unknown factor like hisoka ruins her plans). she enjoys being good at whatever she sets out to do and often attempts to plan even at the very last minute. she attempts to listen to what is logical to her and her alone pre character development. it could be stealing a car after threatening the owner with a fake ID. it could be making sure the waiter gives her her wine ten minutes sharp post her ordering it and them claiming it will be ready in ten minutes or less. depends on the situation. whatever floats the queen's boat. she dislikes when other people take the lead (and thus take control over her) because her ideas in her opinion are as beautiful as the ocean view. even if they can seem "daunting" to others as she puts it, her mind is the only thing of value to her. no one else's.

extroverted thinking

while miss juno doesn't really ask other people for their opinions on matters important to her, she does in fact listen to her big wrinkly brain and promptly do whatever she feels is necessary at that moment. despite her planning and planning for what is essentially her entire life, there are still moments that catch her off guard. chrollo and hisoka especially most of the time. they often like to live their lives on the edge (especially the latter one... cough cough). impulsivity makes no sense for her when she is grounded in logic and not emotion. when she is taken over by her feelings though... no bueno for anyone who gets in her way and is unable to fight back.

this function doesn't really show until post partial character development! after sebaste (who in my opinion is an ISTP) is on the scene, hier encore reader is slightly more inclined to put the foreign subject known as "feelings" into her decision making. she enjoys the company of one person now instead of zero (quite the big improvement), and thus even puts his feelings into account too. just as a safety precaution in case her logical side goes south though. how romantic.

extroverted sensing

this last function actually is shown before introverted feeling in my opinion! juno wants to connect to people but in a much unhealthier way than a healthy INTJ would. she wants connection through control to better connect with herself. she copies the few people she finds inspirational to get them to like her. with the even fewer people she likes, she sees the control aspect as a way for them to know her better. they do the work for her.

Splintered Fate Raphael - All Symbol Headcanons please uwu

I'm extremely guilty of mostly playing as Raphael in this game I just like his dialogue a lot. I love Raph from the game so much I love his little quirk they gave him of mixing up words like the conversation about the punk frogs wanting anarchy which he confuses for Antarctica, asking why dont they just move to place it snows all the time. But, despite this he's not played off as being a meat head idiot. He is but Raphael got a lot of heart when it comes to him setting Leo straight that they are meant to be a team. I just want more of this I know it's slightly based on the IDW one butttt stil!. Also his threats crack me up "imma sit on your lap till your legs break!"

Okay so some of Raphs I feel at first might not seem right but when you think about his role in the game story? Raphael is impatient and can be easily irritated. And Well yeah those are common traits of this turtle after all. Raphael is an analytical thinker, often questioning everything. I wouldn't fully agree here but I will say Raph in the game dose often depending on what's going on dose question a lot. When you first cross the punk frogs he already thrown off by them before you even start fighting them. He doesn't trust the chairman at all and makes it clear in a lot of interactions. Honestly only time he isn't being this way is when it comes to finding Casey he's pretty confident they are fine. Has a hopeful attitude., is optimistic. And discreet and value silence. I dont agree on the last bit but I will say Raphael can be hopeful and even optimistic but it's very much in a Raphael way in that he knows they will win the fights and such he don't doubt that butt kicking. As you can see Raph's hand writing is messy and spaced out its because he is impatient don't take this imagine for fact he slants when he writes with out a line to guide him.

I do kind of feel the portals into the chairman shop are meant to be some weird distorting space but for the sake of this answer I don't feel like this Raphael has been all that many places. Despite liking the docks he's not big on boats. He gets motion sickness uwu buuut he don't like that being know. Cause hes a big tough guy can't be letting others know some waves make him feel like pucking his pizza u-u.

"I like the sound of rain and the ocean waves.." I wouldn't call him the outdoorsy type but he loves going out to the dock to simply listen to the ocean waves. It's a such a nice calming sound. He likes to sneak away on his own and just stay on the docks by himself where he listens to the water for hours on end. But he also has a love for rain because it reminds him of someone special more so those stormy nights.

Splinter often always tries to really help Raphael with his anger in different ways expect 12 u-u were not here for me to rant about this though XD

Splinter knows Raphael doesn't mean anything by his temper, but he dose want to help his son control said temper. Granted video game I feel Raphael has a bit better handle on his temper knowing when best to really let lose at worse? He is just quick to become confrontational. Brash and ready to throw in insults and such As seen with him and Leo's interaction from the comic tie in of the game. Raphael seems the type working with his hands helps him over quite mediation. But Splinter doesn't want to resort to 'hit things' he want's Raph to think. So he got him into the practice of folding paper and well he ended up getting pretty good at it. Since he was a kid he start making simple things like paper frogs. But hes far more skilled now and sometimes can be found in his hammock just making whatever comes to mind like flowers or cranes. He has a set of turtles in blue, red, purple and orange paper respectively that he keeps in his room, they are the only ones he don't throw out and will be a bit upset if you mess with them. Splinter made them for him when teaching him about origami, with them is a messy made rat that Raphael made to go with them.

Raphael's a fan of rock music and heavy metal it's what he has blasting in his room when he works out or when hes helping Donnie with any vehicles. Has a very bad habit of listening to music far louder than he needs to or should for sure. He dose like some pop music and that's the only time he will make use of headphones or lowering the music. Raphael a bit more touchy on keeping his tough guy appearance on display.

Kinda sorta of, he dose and he doesn't. It sort of depends in all truth on what it is about. As stated in his own ways Raph can be hopefully and optimistic even. He is a very straight forward guy and he doesn't often keep to his past too much more where to go from here. He tends to blow of fails pretty well to just more annoyed that he has to start again. Only thing to do is get back out there and fight again standing around and moping doesn't get anything done after all.

☾ : My muse and sleep. (How much they sleep, how much they wish to sleep, if there is something that never fails to put them to sleep, e.t.c.) 

"Eh I sleep when I gotta" Not like his twin who doesn't seem to understand he needs to go bed, Raphael just is someone who can easily stay up late with out meaning to so much. Mostly because well staying up late means he can sneak out to the surface and maybe get in to a brawl or two. So he tends to be up pretty late often not going to bed till about late in the night and sleeping in if he can the following day. Raphael can actually get by with few hours of sleep, he'll just be a bit more grumpy but everyone is used to him being grumpy just means he sometimes might take a nap in the middle of the day. Which means the turtle is staying up late once again cause he won't be tried come night time.

As established in other replies he doesn't even know Twitter is an app ant a person. So for a good well he's just gonna call Yvonne twitter. Raphael isn't much of a social person in the first place so sites that are more for that?

That being said he dose in fact use Tumblr himself, mostly to re blog stuff like memes and such. He likes to post his origami stuff here and there they tend to go unseen he also likes to take pictures of his bike i'm sorry I can't not see raphie having a bike himself uwu so his feed is mostly memes and almost macanic aesthetics

So pretty much an introvert and some people just drain him more than others and this dose go towards his own brothers even. Mikey and Leo tend to be more draining to deal with for him and often why Leo and Mikey can wear on his nerves so badly. Donnie? Donnie is the exception. Don is clam to be around the person Raph can be alone together with not to odd to find him near Don's work bench late at night. If he's in a pretty bad mood Don's kind of the only person who he will be nice towards. It's that twin biased uwu

I feel Raph might not be the best with gifts but it's clear he had the person in mind he might not ever give the perfect gift or maybe even a good gift. But he did have the other person in mind and I feel that often that matters more. It's not a careless gift more maybe they would like this thing. And bless him he dose try he's just not the best, like he gives Casey things they might like simply cause they like hockey but it's kind of a dumb gift like a little hockey stick pen.

Raphael loves his family he is loyal to them even if he can come across as critical toward his brothers. Especially Leo. Raphael is reckless in fights because he much rather take a hit over any of his brothers, He focused on landing critical hit when it comes to fights because the sooner he takes an opponent done the better. Because then that mean less chance for the others getting hurt. Raphael's love and dedication to his family is just as much a part of him as his anger is. Raph takes being the protect of his family very seriously and it extends to anyone consider family, but the world is so big and so full of harmful things.

Losing Splinter of course put him in the same panic as everyone else, but he felt fighting enough would be the answer. but as they go over and over again through many of the same fights only for it to be made into some twisted game? Wore down on him. Was he not doing enough? If he was fighting better than they would have their dad back right? He tries his best to stay as support for the team the muscle a tank that can take it all. But emotionally? he was falling apart and coming undone. The longer they went with out their dad? The less home was feeling like well home. Recalling all his memories with Splinter wondering if he been taking it all for granted this whole time? All Raph wants is to bring his dad back home. But he also can't let those cracks be seen hes the idiot muscle head who jumps into fights after all.

His connection his brothers is something unbreakable and that nothing can come between. Even if he fights with Leo he still follows them into battle he just wants Leo to get over himself. They aren't like the foot following order without question. They are meant to be a team why can't Leo get that?

Don as mentioned hes got a biased towards. Raphael doesn't ever mind when Don feels the need to run into his room and grip over an argument he has online. And hes easy to assume if Don needs him for anything he don't even have to ask Raph will be there. Heck he might just follow Donnie with out a mention needing to be made. Don asks Raph if he could come with him a moment and Raph's just gets up uncaring why.

Mikey still gets on his nerves it's what baby bros do best, and he loves him despite it. He actually likes some of Mikey's jokes even more if Don joins in with them and Leo hates it. Raphael honestly wishes he could be a bit more optimistic like Mikey so it's why he tries in his own way. If you want to really piss him of though? hurt Mikey and that all it takes. Tends to be wary around Slash for this reason since Mikey's close to them.

For 2 it seems my most used weapons were - Aerospray MG (idc what niggas say aerosprays are my fucking babies), the Permanent Inkbrush, and the N'Zap '83, though I do remember having a slosher phase, dunno if that was sometime during 2 or 3 though

Now that my memory is slightly refreshed I'd say my faves to play are aerosprays, rollers, and brushes, but I have enjoyed a splatana or 2 here and there!

Favorite mode? Tbh I am a turf war enjoyer first and foremost despite my occasional interest in looking at competitive splatoon videos, after that it'd probably be salmon run. If I HAD to chose a comp mode I'd say anything but that fucking clam game mode it makes me want to fucking DIEEEEEE bro

Band-wise I have the issue I have w a lot of "real" artists where I struggle to remember to even check who it is I'm listening to, the one I can remember enjoying off the bat is Dedf1sh but iirc they changed their name recently or that was revealed to eb a stage name or sumn? I dunno I haven't finished the new dlc just yet (it's a rougelite!!!) (This is of course excluding idol bands)

Off the Hook would probably win idol wise, I simply was stuck listening to those 2 for so long and the game was really all I had for a good while, though I like the vibes of Deep Cut quite a bit, obviously

Recently got a year online membership so maybe I should play more. Would be good research for my Splatoon rise au, even if he doesn't 100% follow splatoon Canon as is, haha
