one of the fundamental issues i see with post-resurrection barry allen is that both writers and fans need to elevate him to a more “powerful” position than wally to prove he’s better or equal to his flash. but like. that's not how barry functions as a character. barry is a creative problem solver who doesn't need speed because he uses his powers as a secondary tool in preference to his mind. meanwhile, wally is far more intuitive and his powers work as an extension of his own consciousness so he'll resort to speed first and a viable plan of action second. to remove this characteristic from barry and make him so reliant on speed inadvertantly proves that he can't stand on his own BECAUSE of this constant comparison. tldr; barry shouldn't be the fastest most specialist speedster to ever have been created because he has his own strengths apart from speed mcgee wally and so engages with the audience differently to begin with.

mordred pierced his ear bc he hoped that if he matched with atlas, he'd stay home longer - he did it by himself with a sewing needle, surprised by how much it hurt, and he cried when it bled and there was no one there to clean him up, so he did it himself; and when it got infected he hid in the library and researched it and figured that out by himself too.

by the time atlas next returned to the estate, tugging gently on the silver jewellery with a smile and a murmured "we match", mordred had almost forgotten that was why he'd done it.

oh my god i never actually like. gave an intro for TT help. ok heres a sorta summary/intro??:

as the oldest of 4 siblings, mikey should be used to taking care of his siblings, but with their overbearing but well-meaning father splinter now dead, and mikey the only one to witness to murder, the four turtle siblings must learn to navigate everything from getting groceries to the cruelty of the human world and their fathers past back to haunt them. mikey struggles to help his siblings as he deals with putting on a front of unending optimism and steadfastly ignores the hallucinations of his late fathers corpse. leo struggles with leadership and feeling inadequate as well as confusing feelings on gender. raph faces his fear of hurting his family time and time again. donnie is a chaotic younger sibling hellbent on making their brothers happy no matter what. when theyre faced with an alien race planning to farm the solar system for materials, their personal problems seem trivial, but turns out its harder to avoid feelings in the cold dark of space than in the bustling city of new york. and whats this about a new virus causing people to act strangely and cough up pink goo? the turtles try to save the planet they live on as the people that inhabit them ridicule and demonize them for existing. featuring oldest brother mikey, transfem leo, medic raph, older sisters april and karai, a lot of aliens, and turtle teens doing mutant ninja things
