What does nodt think of tesla?

Gilga's companion, roommate, nanny, secretary (lol), the true author of Gilga's homework (partially), the one who is supporting Gilga for a really long time and has done a miraculous job of so, considering how brain mashed Gilga is. Also Tes pays more rent than Gilga so condolences from Nödt to Tes. But Tes chose it himself so Nödt wouldn't say anything more, he doesn't really care about Tes either. Tes is just there, of course, for Gilga.

He has the feeling of Tes didn't like him at first but accepted his existence (there for Gilga) finally only for the sake of Gilga, mainly because Tes can't have a word either

Okay speaking from a fiend of Nödt since November, i would like to try to explain some points of his personality from both manga and in anime - despite his very-limited screentime in canon (let's trust Kubo with his detailed dedication on depicting characters and assume no parts were done by filler purpose but actually help in sculpting a character) , and the 10-photo per post limitation of tumblr.

1. The most obvious one, he is a control freak masochist.

The masochist part:

He deliberately let senbonzakura cut himself, under his control. He didn't let the petals cut him at the start, but to guide the petals around him and finally let go of his blut vene to be cut (to feel his obsession, aka senbonzakura). Even Mask de Masculine can tell this act was done on purpose (unfortunately the anime removed the most crucial line).

I know people don't examine where do sternritters keep their crosses like people studying the hollow holes of espadas, but what kind of freak would keep a metal cross under his eyeball at constant🥴

The reason why he is obsessed with pain, firstly his on-bed agony experience (of course he would need to learn how to co-exist or even find pathetic joy within pain, when breathing, a pain-free body and head are a luxury, ), secondly his fear of sins (his christianity is still heavily implied even after his hospital time, from layouts, costumes and his vollständig, so I wouldn't peel that off just because his god has shifted from the God to Yhwach. The ideology is still deep in his root), any feeling of bodily pleasures shall be compensated. Pain or misery acts as a natural pardon to what he has done to himself, specifically the pleasures he fears to desire or experience... talking abt άλγος

The control freak part:

His outfit has far more buttons than any other sternritters. This part is very obvious in ED of anime. I would say he even quite enjoy the meticulous ritual like process of buttoning and unbuttoning his robe.

During his first raid (the one with Byakuya) he wasn't wearing his gloves, his robe didn't have the belt section, and his mask had 5 spikes instead of 4 (like in the fight with Rukia). It's safe to say that he washes and changes his clothes quite often due to hygienic purpose, and has a range of very similar but a slight different items in his wardrobe - similar stuff to maintain the rhythm and routines, but enough slight differences to indicate "which was it".

He radiates the vibe of OCD for sure.

He was very satisfied when his appearance shocked Rukia, her reaction was within his expectation. But he showed little adaptation with her new zanpakuto ability that has exceeded his belief of science/knowledge that was not in the Daten his majesty has provided and has expressed his disbelief (the cutest panels)

He was silent all along in the first raid - finally spoke after he accomplished the tasks he was assigned to. The fear in his thrones had infiltrated into his opponent who was most capable to fight back in front of him and that opponent had hardly sufficient understanding to do so. Nödt had also successfully taken away Byakuya's bankai too - completing the main mission assigned. The strongest power was already not in Byakuya's hand, decreasing the chance of his enemies to fight back almost to 0 in all sorts of ways. Then Nödt let go - he started to have his fun with his obsession aka senbonzakura, and torturing Byakuya, playing with Renji's despair and rage. Using the captain's bankai was also part of the mission and of course Nödt enjoyed that pretty much.

He is attacking mode too - the reason why he used his hand to kill Byakuya, rushing to Yamamoto by his physical body instead of using his thrones, and running towards Rukia after he found his thrones didn't have an effect of Rukia anymore, before he got frozen (running out of space of photos so attaching the link here) the arachnid nature...use long-distance attacks to paralyse(dissolve) and to play with enemies; luring the enemies to approach him on their own while he stays in the same place, in order put the last killing resort from close-distance, by his skin itself - the contact provides proof.

All about controls. He wants things to be under his controls all the time, even injuries, and "out-of-controlled situations" were all counted into his controls. As long as the out-of control situation happens within the window he prepared or expected, then it's still within his expectations ergo still under his control.

2. He doesn't fear death. What he is afraid of is losing control. Both explained by these most grotesque panels with the crucial line that was unfortunately removed in anime airing of him and his poem.

He is afraid of the disappointment of his "new god", his life saviour, the power and the punishment waiting in front of him. That power of Jugram, to be more specific, if sternritters lose or fail their mission.

He has already lost control of his body before, the current body is granted, is rebuilt - he cannot lose that again. This ties back to the inevitable body horror nature (and inevitably the idea of biid/bdd because of his hospital time) this character is radiating throughout his screentime, which i have discussed more in this thread.

He was already in despair, he doesn't consider death is much different by being alive. The line is already blurred out - or at least his experience told him so.

3. He can be quite gleeful, childish (of course he can get along with kids well! I mean look at him!) , with his distinguish sick humour.

Not only he wanted to hurt Byakuya, he wanted to torture him - he already knew Byakuya wouldn't die from that, and he well-remembered which part he destroyed on Byakuya - this kind of details of tormenting is not present in else where in Bleach. He also seeks proof, proof that his action has an impact on Byakuya. Proofs tie back to "control" as well.

"Can't be only me who suffered, can't be inly me to go through the agony"

He doesn't endure stupidity, judging from the line he said to Mask de Masculine, 0 patience whatsoever (So I would say Nödt definitely dislikes Gigi in all sorts of way possible). He doesn't want to explain things he is not interested in, or things he considers to be already self-explained enough, things he thought people should already know about. He isn't a fan of human interaction nor human themselves either (he was absent the gossip discussion of Ishida being the heir of Yhwach of other sternritters either, despite people he gets along with are all there). His obsession is solely on senbonzakura itself, not on Byakuya - he only sees Byakuya as "the ex-owner of the beautiful toy that he wants to possess", thus some extra attention he had on Byakuya. The only thing he talked about was senbonzakura when he met Rukia at first, that's because senbonzakura was already returned into Byakuya' hand. He fixates on objects than humans.

He has limited conception of social norms nor ability to empathise, but he can understand people's emotions and intentions. Nödt has no shame. Or to say, no shame to most of the worldly-assumed-but-unspoken contracts when he violates them, whether intentionally or not.

His appearance doesn't scream the differences he has with other people, he is just indifferent to the socially-perceived weirdness of him. He wears his mask, he let his gut spill, his eyes are rolled to the back of his head...no matter what, he didn't treat them like "people are gonna react to those", he isn't expecting those either. He doesn't care about the world nor people, and for sure not their reactions and opinions towards him.

But when Byakuya looked down and mocked him, he was hellish livid - releasing his second form of his vollständig, striving to let his already-at-the-back-of-his-head eyeball to tremble down in order to glare at Byakuya (which makes dis already-extremely-cute volcano forehead & the "i've had enough of ur mockery" when he feels humiliated even more cute).

If this help with anything, in a nutshell, Nödt is an ISTP sp/sx 5w6 LII. Ti dom, strong Se, hardly any Fe. Distant, cares about efficiency, pessimistic, indifferent, cynical, straightforward and direct.

Would argue that he would be more prone to black metal, atmosphere black metal, math metal, death metal, post punk, experimental, darkwave and of course classical musics (Baroque > 20th century > classical > romantic) to be more specific)more than goth.

These points are the ones i have in mind for now that i consider to be the core elements of his personality 🤔 maybe i will maybe i will not add/edit some more if i've got time or recalled some more.

And these are the things from canon instead of a living world version, obviously.

chat can someone mansplain Äs Nödt's personality to me?? We only see like a few seconds of him, and I personally didn't get anything from this. 😭

Idk if this is just a me thing, or if no one else got anything from that either. I need someone who is so obsessed they're like "no actually see he loves ponies because his third eyelash is slightly darker than the rest" type shit.
