snakes tend to burrow when comfortable/happy and this is only made more apparent by the fact that messmer’s snakes being naturally burrowed into messmer try to work their way into his consort as well, shoving their nose in the crook of their elbow and getting sad when they can’t loop through them as well. what’s the point of living if they can make some giant keychain with the lot of them!

they have to settle by threading through the end of the clothes, head in through the sleeve opening and out by the collar

The snakes are like, “wtf is this shit?” I just imagine the Gmod clipping noise as they desperately try and burrow into you LMAO.

Messmer scolds them and tells them that’s not how it works, so they settle for snaking their way into your clothes (which I headcanon Messmer can see through the snakes so it’s a win-win if you know what I’m sayinnnn) but they’re so comfy!

Messmer eventually gifts you a cloak just like his with his insignia and that’s the serpent’s favorite place to relax. They bundle themselves up by your shoulders and gently headbutt you. It’s a comfy spot!
