It can be confusing to have so many Heroes around called Superman so when he stopped going by Superboy, he also took up the name of Sidus. (his father's idea)

Have a surprise upload! I decided not long ago to doodle some redraws of some of the café cast. So have a Sidus, Floe and Kankaal! All three being ones you've met on the blog so far!

I recently began looking into restructuring the café cast again, so we'll see how I go about it. These three will remain, that's for sure! And I'd imagine most of the others will as well, but we'll see to what degree.

someone asked for my interpretations of the characters prismo and scarab wouldve made at the end of fionna and cake,

so here we have Sīdus the Fallen star and The Carmine Cavalier (also regarded as Carma (like karma))

im proud of scarabs character name simply cause cavalier used as an adjective can mean someone who doesnt care for others. also really proud of his sickle thing- its like the mandibles of a beetle but it acts like a guiding weapon rather than attacking, so he can just hook people and completely displace their movements but it can also be used for punching like brass knuckles

*入道雲はきっと 紙に描いた落書きでした Surely, those *cumulonimbus clouds were merely scribbles on papers

嗄れた声はきっと 聞き違いの耳鳴りでした Those hoarse voice was surely just some misheard ringings

息が詰まる程 目を覆いたくなる程 Until I can’t breathe anymore So much that I just want to close my eyes

全部が綺麗でした 彼れを如何と呼ぶんでしょう Everything that was so beautiful I wonder what they call them

追想 錆びた鉄橋 人知れず足を向けました A recollection of that rusty bridge that I secretly head towards

湿気った匂いがきっと 逸れ者の逃げ場所でした Surely, that damp odor was an escape for the outcasts

薄い缶バッヂも すぐ剥がれたシールも 全部 宝物だったのです Those thin badges, and those peeled off stickers too, were all once treasures

潸然、頬を打った*群青に 気が付けど The *blue that struck my tearful face I noticed it, but

悲しい哉、忽然と 去ってしまうのです It’s sad to say, but suddenly They’re gone

*拝啓 僕はきっと 馬鹿にされるのが嫌でした *Dear, I must have hated of being made fun of

陰気な奴とずっと 虐められるのが嫌でした With that gloomy guy, always hated of being made fun of

だから、愛しくて 手に余る物全部を That’s why I love it so much all those things that I can’t have

全部 置き去りに 生きたのです By leaving it all behind I’ve managed to to live

Notes :

拝啓 by itself already means "dear" (used as in ‘dear sir’, or ‘to whom it may concern’) that is usually seen in the beginning of a letter

入道雲 (cumulonimbus cloud) is a big puff of cloud that you can usually see in summer and are also in most of this MV’s background

The more direct translation for 群青 is actually ultramarine

Meaning, to hurriedly or can be used to close a letter “yours sincerely"
