“SIGN THE PETITION” I signed the #petition to shut the store down that failed to help #junior before & after he was stabbed & pleading for help. You can clearly see in the videos the store employees pushing him away then after he was injured telling him to leave. No #compassion for a #child therefore they need to be #shutdown... That whole lack of leadership was a very crucial time to “not” act & could have saved that young mans life. Instead, they kicked a 15yr old boy out who was bleeding to death when he needed anyone in those moments. Alone, he tried to make it to the hospital #2 blocks always only to collapse across the street from the hospital. Out of everyone who was around in his last moments that could of help, #junior was the strongest of them all. Everyone else that seen & could of help are #cowards , #weak & and should be ashamed. On Saturday I went to Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre near Lincoln. Here, as in other detention centres, people (all men here) are held in pre-deportation detention, sometimes for years, without knowing when they will be either released or deported. In the UK there is no time-limit on immigration detention. In Morton Hall, which is actually a prison, built for custodial purposes and still run directly by the Prison Service (part of the MoJ), there are men who are physically and mentally ill, self-harming, suicidal, bullied and threatened with being put in actual prison - one of the men we spoke to told us he would probably be put in solitary just for speaking to us on the phone. Three people have died in Morton Hall in recent months, one by suicide. A recent snap inspection said the place was dangerous both for inmates and staff.

The Labour Party manifesto says a Labour Government would end indefinite detention. I don't want that. I want detention not to exist.

We kicked the fence on both sides; they did and we did, even though we couldn't see each other.

I'm up for putting energy into making sure as many Labour MPs get in next week as possible, but the Labour Party introduced immigration detention, and my legs already ache from kicking the fence. On June 9th, we're going to have to kick the same fences regardless of who gets in. Kick the fences and take photos and make recordings and have conversations, because everyone needs to know that these places, and these people, exist.

The symbol of the Labour party is a rose. I carried a rose there, placed it in the fence and I brought a rose back.
