In the summer of 1999, Logan meets Wade at the beach in Kelowna, British Columbia and falls in love. Maybe it is the alcohol, maybe it is the years of feeling no hands on his bare skin, but Logan is addicted to the attention he is given.

His summer vacation is short, too short, and Wade frets that they will never meet again, but Logan promises they will. Back in Xavier’s School, Logan returns to his old life, trying to avoid questions from his co-workers of what he did in the summer.

But it turns out his summer love is coming back, and not in a good way.

So... I had a fall last Thursday (Spine: 174729, Mel: 0) and then promptly came down with COVID... for the third time. 🙃 (The two misfortunes are unrelated, but when it rains it pours, eh?)

I had to go in to work tonight (even though I should still be quarantined) because the other night staffer who usually works on Wednesday nights called out sick.

Lo and behold, it turns out we are in the midst of a COVID outbreak at work. 😐 I am here - still sick myself, and barely able to function - with a BRAND NEW EMPLOYEE (it's her second night on the job, she knows how to do NOTHING) who has to stay at the other end of the building by herself all night, while my immunocompromised ass supervises the quarantined sick kids AND does all of the computer work. Whilst in excruciating pain, exhausted, and feeling like I might keel over at any moment. Cool.

Also, it has been snowing here for two days. The trees lining my street had JUST reached peak color, and I feel like I've been robbed of the remainder of Fall. When I turned on the radio in the car tonight, my favorite station was playing EXCLUSIVELY Christmas music. It's November 2nd.

I am just... 1000% done with everything right now. 🥴 Send happy things?

Wait. I have an addendum.

So I can understand why they pulled the henren scene now. Because as much as we’re losing our collective shit over it, those two concepts can kinda compete. We have them presenting as the protective siblings, questioning Tommy’s intentions, if he has pure motives, etc.

BUT THEN. We get Bobby later on in the same shift, telling Buck that he knows Tommy is “good people” and that he’s good for him. (This also makes the context of “how do you know” make more sense when we understand that they’re moving slowly. So in a version of their relationship where they’re having sleepovers but not sex, I can see where he’d be like “wait we’re not even boning yet, how do you know it’s good for me?”). Thus, you have a conflict of interest.

AND THE FACT THAT THEY DECIDED TO GO WITH THE ONE THAT DIGNIFIES IT AS A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP.

Idk man. Just like. What a fucking love story they’re telling us. And to still give us the deleted scene after, so we can see what we missed, but not contextually have it detract from the core of the story. Logistically, this means (to me at least), that someone saw the conflicting information in both scenes and decided to go with the version that spoke to the importance of the relationship in Buck’s life. Because at their core, both scenes serve the same purpose: his loved ones deciding on if they approve. We were given the one that told us unabashedly that they do.

Getting blocked by blogs I really enjoy with zero explanation is such a bewildering experience for me. Especially when I have no idea why they blocked me. My anxious, autistic brain just hates not knowing. Like... what did I do wrong? Did I unknowingly offend them somehow with my tags? Did they read my bio and get weirded out by something there? Did they get mad because I liked a post but didn't reblog it fast enough? (I use likes as a bookmarking tool, and then I put the post in my drafts to reblog later; that's just my personal system.)

In the grand scheme of things, I know it's silly to get worked up over something so trivial, but I just want to know what I did wrong, so I can try to avoid making that mistake again. 😔 This has happened to me several times now, and I hate feeling like I've offended someone whose creative work I admire.
