The real start of their connection other than physical attraction. Alec letting Magnus tap into his strength and with that Magnus trusting Alec. 

Also, how Alec is holding Magnus. Alec supporting Magnus with his whole body.

And immediatly catching and checking on him when Magnus falls down.

Alec immediatly dashing to Magnus‘, because Jace told him to, to save Luke, A Downworlder for Clary. All things Alecs hated just at the beginning of this episode (and we’re 20min in), but hating less than his mother who betrayed him after everything he did for her.

I’m not sure that Alec would have given Magnus his strength so willingly if he wasn’t so badly hurt from Maryse. Maybe he did it a little to spite her. But also because he wanted to, because Alec runs straight to Magnus when he sees Magnus struggling. At first just Alec is holding Magnus up with a hand on the shoulder. But later fully supporting all of Magnus’ weight.

Jace: Did he just flirt with Alec and then immediatly after flirt with Izzy? What the fuck?

Simon’s the only one really judging Alec here. Of course, Izzy banters and teases, but she’s doing it because she loves Alec. Clary respects Alecs feelings and wants him to talk about it. Magnus wants to be with him... Even though he’s the one implying that Alec’s a virgin. The question is why? Because he gets flustered so easily or being bitter? Anyone have an idea?

But Simon is the only one being “You’re that bitter just because you don’t have sex” He could also have said “Get yourself fucked properly and you won’t be that much of a bitch. I know he didn’t say that, but it feels implied.
