Guy raised his hand sheepishly. “Yep.”

Crewmas Day #7 (Clip)

“Cookie?” Guy whispered. 

“He’s awake! Now!”

Glitch playfully nudged Schmitty over.

Happy birthday to yoooooooooooooooooooooooooou…” Schmitty whisper-sang.

“I’m up…geez, good breakfast.” Cookie laughed.

“Happy birthday.” Schmitty whispered and set the tray down. “Did you have fun last night?”

“Yep, but let’s not talk about that in front of the young kid.” Cookie chuckled.

“We made you breakfast in bed, dad.” Ginger leapt on the bed.

East Coast Comic Con Is Classic

East Coast Comic Con (ECCC) 2017 is in the books. ECCC took place this past weekend at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ and played host to countless guests, artists, writers, collectors and cosplayers alike. East Coast Comic Con’s mission has always been to keep comics and their creators as the focus of their show and this year was no different.

Fabian Nicieza, Marv Wolfman, Mike Grell, and Larry Lieber are a small sampling of the talent on hand representing work done in major franchises such as Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Disney and more. Visit the ECCC Comic Guest web page for full details on the many accomplished individuals in attendance. It was a beautiful sight to see fans, with comics in hand, flocking the area to meet their favorite icons. They eagerly awaited to have their treasures signed and to speak with the person behind the characters they have loved throughout their life.

Star Gazing

In addition to the awesome variety of creators provided by East Coast Comic Con, it was cool to see a blast from the past. Featured guests from well-loved TV shows like Lost in Space, Gilligan’s Island, Ghostbusters, Star Trek and much more were on hand to the delight of fans young and old. I was pleased when I had the opportunity to speak briefly with Gilligan’s Island star, Dawn Wells (Mary Ann). The vibrant Ms. Wells was genuinely thrilled to meet all adoring fans that stopped by to meet her. I even shared a quick chuckle with her as we discussed the big question of all time… Mary Ann or Ginger? She is quick-witted, humble, with a positive vibe that is contagious. If you ever have the chance to meet Ms. Wells, I encourage you to do so.

As I worked my way across the autograph area, it was hard to miss the love being shown to an 80’s movie classic that answers the question….Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! The charismatic Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) was happily engaging fans as he signed autographs. Several hard core Ghostbusters fans could be found meandering their way around the convention floor dressed in some very impressive cosplay dedicated to their favorite movie.

Located across from the Ghostbusters mobile was the stunning and sweet Ms. Chase Masterston. While she is best known for her role as Leeta in Star Trek Deep Space Nine, she captured my heart as she spoke about her passion… Pop Culture Hero Coalition. Pop Culture Hero Coalition is an organization Ms. Masterston founded in 2013 that is aimed toward anti-bullying. I look forward to meeting with her in the future to shed more light on a subject that touches everyone.

 Shining Attractions

As if the all the creators, guests, artists and vendors weren’t enough, I would be remiss not to mention some motorized eye-candy. There were some treats for sure! It’s impossible not to stop and adore the Batmobiles, get chills admiring the haunting Christine, reminisce over the Monkee Mobile or just simply appreciate the magnificence of all the vehicles.

Suit Up!

Last but certainly not least was the copious cosplay. Characters from endless fandoms were represented throughout the convention floor. My favorites will always be the parent and child combinations. It is simply warms my heart to see children being taught not to fear embracing their passions. Comic Conventions are a place to show individuality and creativity without judgment.

"Once Upon a De-Cyber" Clip

Shit has been eventful, with the company play, the concert and everything else. But finally, they could relax this evening, watching a few Christmas movies, warming up by the polycule’s fireplace and just talking together while Booloo and Avery were making Faebelle Christmas cookies and normal shortbread together.

Nothing could possibly go wrong. Besides, Ricardo made sure Nate got the RIGHT “Jack Frost” movie.

“Look!” Ginger muttered as she, Arianna, Honey and Glitch looked out the window, Glitch carried Cumin in his arm. “It’s really snowy out there!”

“SNOW!” Arianna cheered.

“Snow! Snow! Snow!” Cumin babbled.

The baby fae was getting pretty chatty for a 13 month old.

“I forgot fae babies learnt to talk around the four month mark.” Buzz mused as he sipped a hot chocolate.

“Yeah.” Ellie mused. “Otherwise I wouldn’t have said the MF word near my future brother in law…oh who am I kidding, I still would’ve! Just gimme a sec.”

“Mmmmmmmmmm, sure is cozy in the house.” Schmitty gushed as he wrapped himself and Cookie in a blanket.

“Hey!” Guy huffed. “Can’t I have some?”

“Noooooope.” Cookie blew a raspberry.

“Besides, one of us has to shovel the driveway.” Schmitty smirked.

“And it’s me because?”

“You’re the most fit.” Cookie smirked. “And we’re coooooooooomfy.”

“I shoveled this morning. It was 12:15 but it still counts as ‘morning’.” Guy huffed. “Lazy…”

“But we’re COMMMMFY!” Cookie gave the cute eyes.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

“I did not order pizza.” Nate explained. “But, Guy, can you be an angel and get the-”

“YES, I’M GETTING THE MOTHERFUCKING DOOR!”

“Language.” Schmitty scolded. 

Guy just huffed and opened the door-

-as a freezing Kim ran in, shivering all the while.

“What happened?!?” Cookie gasped.

“Power went out in my place. Cold temps aren’t good for mermaids, since we’re like, part cold-blooded fish. Mind if I stay?” “Is that even a question? Of course!” Aianna beamed.

“Let’s ask Cookie.” Bob was more weary.

“Mi casa es fu casa.” Schmitty smiled.

“Tu casa.” Booloo commented. “Power went out in my place, some asshole ran into a power pole, it’ll take three hours. Mind if me and Ellie stay longer?”

Avery let out a laugh. 

"Yeeeeeeeeeah..." Ellie shivered. “We’re not taking no for an answer. If you don’t want us here, tough luck.”

“Fine.” Schmitty sighed. 

“NOW can I have some blanket?” Guy gave his best ‘cute eyes’.

"Night at the Hospital" Clip

Theodore giggled as he was reading to Ginger.

“This is a bedtime story?” Ginger asked.

“No, it’s Shakespeare.” Guy mused.

“Same dif.” Theodore giggled. “Least to Henry, it is.”

“No, it isn’t the same.” Guy groaned. 

“Do you have something better?”

“Let me think, damnit.”

“Go on, One Brain Cell Guy.” Theodore giggled.

Ginger tilted her head. “Should I ring a nurse?”

“No, not yet.” Theodore cooed. 

“Hmmm…” Guy shrugged. “I honestly can’t think of anything else.”

“Then let me finish. If Ginger’s okay with it, of course.” Theodore nodded.

Guy sighed and tapped his foot while drumming his hands on his knees. “Okay then, good luck. And I got my eyes on you.”

Theodore nodded. You’ll be asleep as soon as we get to Act 2.

“Okay, let’s see…” Cookie checked his phone.

Reading Ginger Shakespeare. Wish me luck.

“Theodore?!?” Cookie groaned. “Oh no…”

Schmitty looked over. “Something wrong?”

“Theodore’s in Ginger’s room.” 

“Well shit. I’ll ask Aianna to notify me of any jinxes. He’s probably gonna wait until Guy is asleep though.”

“Yeah, Theodore isn’t stupid enough to jinx Ginger with the possibility of getting scolded looming over his head.” reminded Glitch. “Remember the time I was being attacked by bullies?”

Bob and Buzz nodded.

Aianna was trying to get her Angelica outfit ready as Nate helped with the corset. “I’ve been reading ‘Common Sense’ by Thomas Paine. Some men say that I’m intense or I’m insane. You want a revolution, I want a revelation, so listen to my declaration…”

“She’s good.” Avery geeked. 

“I KNOW!” Booloo stimmed.

Crewmas Day #5 (Clip)

Schmitty chuckled as he, Guy, Glitch, Ginger and Rad got in the car. 

“Floor it, Cookie.” Glitch mused as he helped buckle Radley in. 

Cookie did so. “First is the neighborhood.”

Inhaling, Avery turned on the radio, lowered the volume and checked the Christmas channel.

The snow is fallin'

The fire's warm

The bells are callin'

Think I know what for

It's the perfect scene

A special someone is on the way

Booloo nodded her head to the beat. “Look! There’s one of those animated displays!”

“My family used to have a giant inflatable snowman- two snowmen and a tree- one had a red hat, the other wore purple. Once, a friend came over for a playdate and we had to say ‘look for the house with the inflatable snowmen’ so she and her mom wouldn’t get lost.” Avery rambled. “The girl and I were in second grade.”

“Oh my lord.” Schmitty laughed.

“Look, there’s a house with reindeer on the roof.” Guy noticed. “Oh, look, someone’s on the roof, too!”

Ginger waved at him. “Hiiiiiiiiiiii! Good luck getting down!”
