Showcase 94 #12 details

Thank you for everyone who recced Babs comics! Out of those I hadn't read yet, there was Hacker Files and Showcase '94 #12. Here are screencaps from Showcase '94 #12.

First: details about grocery shopping: Babs does not order online/via phone.

So this was an interesting detail! It implies Babs as Oracle is far more involved than just in the superhero community.

asd;gl;akj no clue how the Bar exam actually works if its something you can take over the computer. but oh well the point is before Babs got her legit law degree from harvard she got illegal proof she could be a lawyer XD

So this comic was about some guy creeping on Babs - honestly the plot wasn't super interesting, I was more character-focused. in General: Babs is hoping to regain her confidence after disliking how she handled her previous physical confrontations -- TKJ and Hacker Files. In Hacker Files, she shot and injured a Secret Service agent who broke into her house to hold a gun on her without identifying himself.

I also found these interactions she had with Dick charming.

Anyway I think that this makes sense for Barbara at this point in her character, because she is feeling physically vulnerable and even though she would rather not resolve her problems with violence, she wants to be able to defend herself with violence should it be necessary.

It could help explain some of the differences to how she reacts when in danger that we see from Suicide Squad (where she's preparing to shoot Carmichael to kill him with a gun) and Hacker Files (where she sleeps with the gun by her nightstand and shoots the home intruder/secret service agent) to later on where she seems less quick on the trigger and more in control.
