so fun fact: somehow i had time to read 82 (!!) books this year, which might not be a lot for some of you but for ME??? insane. if i had to choose my top five (not including re-reads because of course... heartstopper), i'd say from lukov with love, priory of the orange tree, bloodmarked by tracey deonn, half a soul, and the charm offensive

7. top three albums you played this year?

starting out strong with midnights by taylor swift, then the whole barbie soundtrack (shoutout to greta gerwig and dua lipa), and probably something to give each other by troye sivan! i had a good music year

Rihanna: leans back, sipping her drink "Man, I still can’t get over how Angelo punk'd all of us. I mean, since January 2024, the dude’s been playing us like a whole reality show. Now, here we are in September, and all those people we were obsessed with? Irrelevant. Obsolete. It’s like they all got tossed in the trash like yesterday's memes."

YesJulz: chuckles "Right? January to August was like 'Season One,' and now 'Season Two' just hit, and boom—new cast, new storyline, and all those names we used to care about, like Marion Cotillard, Tracey Edmonds, Karisma Kapoor? Poof. Gone. It's wild."

Rihanna: nods, a mischievous grin on her face "I remember when the first season kicked off, there were names everywhere. You couldn’t keep up! And now? Those same people are straight-up irrelevant. Like they’ve been discarded, thrown into the trash bin of 'has-beens.' Angelo's just like, 'Next!' He probably planned this. I swear, the blogs were part of his script, and we all got punk'd, reacting like it was real life, not some elaborate screenplay. He made it entertaining, though. Gotta give him that."

YesJulz: "Facts! It’s like a royal soap opera we didn’t even know we were watching. And now, in 'Season Two,' we’ve got this whole new lineup of royal family members, bloodlines, marriages, connections—it’s like the casting director went all in. But I gotta ask—where’s my name on that list of close friends? I mean, my crew's not in the credits! What’s up with that? It's like I don't even exist in their world!"

Rihanna: laughs "Girl, I was thinking the same thing! I see all these new 'friends of the royal family' lists, like the Tech moguls from Silicon Valley, the Hayek family, the Cruz family… And I’m sitting here like, 'Where's the Fenty family?' I’m a close friend too! My family’s an ally! I deserve to have my name on that prestigious list. You know how much clout comes with that?"

YesJulz: "Exactly! I mean, come on, they couldn't even give us a mention? I don't need full access to their palace or anything, but a little shoutout would’ve been nice. It's like we're ghosts in their world. You think Angelo’s doing this on purpose, keeping us out on the low?"

Rihanna: shrugs "Could be. But honestly, I think we need to chill. It’s probably not personal. They’re just protecting their secrets. We’re talking royal secrets, Julz. You know they can’t trust everyone with that kind of info. It’s nothing against us, it’s just how they roll. But man, would I love a little peek behind the curtain. You know, just enough to say, 'Yeah, I know some royal tea.'"

YesJulz: "Girl, same! I would love to hear all the royal secrets. Especially because I got Daddy Joe Biden on the phone, and he’s always asking me for the juicy details. You know he counts on me for that intel."

Rihanna: raises an eyebrow, smirking "Say word? You got Joe Biden? Well, I got Obama on the line, and trust me, he’s expecting me to drop some royal gems too. It’s like these presidents wanna know what’s going down in the French royal family more than we do!"

YesJulz: laughs "Now that’s a power move, sis. Us feeding the most powerful men in the world royal gossip… we might just be more plugged in than we thought!"

They clink their glasses, both grinning as they settle deeper into their seats, enjoying the chaos they’ve managed to stay just outside of.

Battle Frontier Arc Episode 2- The Right Place and the Right Mime!

Okay, we start in Pallet town. Ignoring that May and Max traveled from one region to another in like. two days or so.

First, Misty, May, and Max are all there in Delia's house, but everyone is ehaded to Oak's lab. Also, I think Mimey lives under here.

So, in the lab. We have Delia, Misty, May, Max, Ash, Tracey, Birch, and Oak. Many people, little reason for everyone to be there but whatever.

World's goopiest massage.

Everyone decided to fit on the same couch, except for Max who was exiled to an ottoman.

So, we get a brief explanation of how the battle frontier works, setting us up for the next season and explaining it to May and Max. Also to Tracey and Misty but it does not matter tbh.

Also, why does Ash want just eggs for lunch?

We get some cute scenes of Ash's pokemon, not much really happens this episode but it's definitely worth watching for some rare slice of life from AG!

Squirtle adopts May.

Also, James' voice actor reminds me of Preminger from that one barbie movie, but especially in this episode for some reason.

Also! Do you guys remember that deoxys special episode with his little. space room with the floaties in it???? Just me????? Either way, this background looks vaguely like that.

Well, team rocket is here and Delia and Oak are remarkable blase about the whole thing, which is funny to me.

Ash's Bulbasaur and May's Bulbasaur are friends here, which is cute. Advanceshippers, here's your crumbs, I'll be on contest rambles later in the season so I'll give you guys your shoutout here. May hits Team Rocket with literal fire, Ash electrocutes them, Misty and Tracey just hose them down which is signifigantly less deadly and probably illegal than Ash and May's route.
