not at all going insane about the scene with the maw. definitely not thinking about how even though elise and raj's history is very clearly complicated she sees him struggling and immediately tells him that they can leave. i am being SO NORMAL about how for a second maybe if you squint it's like they almost go back into their assumed old dynamic. i am not at all losing my mind over them.

@daelenn and for campaign 2!
1 - twiggy is the ultimate feral of the c2 guest pcs. small, stowed away in a barrel on a ship, on the run, has twigs in her hair, named after the twigs in her hair, talks to a secret squirrel in her jacket, chaotic as fuck, cute as fuck, defeated a dragon?? she's great
2 - spurt. oh spurt. you only lived eleven days but they were delightfully feral ones. rip sweet kobold, crushed to death by a fire giant in one hit.
3 - keg. ultimate butch lesbian. ashly burch you are an icon. actually on that note shoutout to cr2 for having 15 player characters and over a third of them are wlw. so many lesbians, it's great. but anyway keg is extremely liable to fight you under any circumstances, but when we meet her she's tired and desperate and has seen way too much death and that makes anyone feral. also hooking up with the lesbian you met yesterday in the house of your old gang who killed your friend before you killed them probably adds something
4 - nila isn't hugely feral compared to some people, but also, she's specifically known for being the most feral firbolg of everyone she knows. people in her tribe are like competent and organised and stuff and nila is just in charge of protecting the moss bc they know she's far too distracted and far too likely to fight you to be in charge of anything else. Will Do Anything For Her Family. guided entirely by her sense of smell.
5 - reani is extremely lawful feral, and also extremely cheerful feral. chaotic lawful. i mean, her general very strong sense of aesthetic and also the committment to following the rules doesn't give much in the way of feral points, but also like, following an angel's orders to murder people?? being extremely happy about the "i'm going to have to kill you"?? talking and/or turning into bats?? (also the druid thing). she's pretty feral.
6 - shakaste's, on the whole, not feral. he's just pretty damn cool. like he can be feral, if he wants? but mostly he's just the coolest old man on the continent, wandering around with his bird and his voice and helping people and probably causing chaos
7. calianna is not feral. i mean she's half dragon and that's pretty cool. but she's just a sweet girl trying to get out of a cult who buys gifts for the friends she met once. i love her??? Protect Her.

Do you think English dubs could be good if there was actual effort put in?
I think English dubs could be good if the industry over here actually gave a fuck about VA consistency. In Japan, 9/10 times if someone voices a character, they voice them until they’re dead. Over here, people will just get too fucking hollywood to voice weebshit so you’ll have cases like Persona 4 where over half the fucking cast changes. (Out of the 8 party members, FIVE of them had a voice actor change at some point, special shoutouts to Rise having a VA change IN THE FUCKING RISE SPINOFF GAME, and double shoutouts to Ashly Burch using the same exact fucking voice for her as she did for Rei, ANOTHER PERSONA CHARACTER, WHO WAS IN A GAME WITH RISE)
That being said, there are good English dubs out there. I’ve heard Pop Team Epic’s is great. I liked Full Metal Panic’s dub a lot. And I’m one of the people who prefers the DBZ dub, that USED to be the common opinion but now people can’t seem to understand that when you’re used to hearing Goku and Gohan sound like men your whole damn life, hearing them sound like an old lady is off putting. Also I would say Ghost Stories but that doesn’t count, right? Everyone just agrees that the dub is superior, yeah? Oh yeah, your name’s dub was really solid too, I saw it in a theater and enjoyed it very much. And Ghibli dubs are usually pretty damn good too.
Dubs aren’t automatically shit, IMO. Some people think that but I disagree very much. HOWEVER there are a lot of shit dubs, if only because *some* studios use the same four VAs for fucking EVERYTHING so they all sound the same.

Shoutout to @maiqueti for sharing this on Twitter!
Great insight with the lead writer on the game, good read. If you haven’t been able to tell how passionate Deck Nine is about this, this ought to help! It also brings up some interesting details about how complicated it can be to organize the development process when things don’t quite line up like how you hoped they would.
I admit, a couple bits make me nervous still, but...eh, that’s just always going to be me when it comes to sequels/prequels of things I’m so invested in.
Seriously, give this a read!
