Shousetsu Bang*Bang is a long-running webzine full of original queer smutty stories and art. How long-running, you ask? Our first issue was published in September 2005, and we've been going strong ever since. All our issues are filled with tales of queer romance with steamy scenes and a spirit that encourages happy endings!

He drank gratefully — a little too gratefully, in fact, which meant I had to pull it back. He made the cutest little sound of disappointment, but to no avail. I’m fairly well-practiced at saying no. “Take it slow,” I told him again, never taking my hands off him. “We just got plenty of water out of you. Let’s take our time putting it back in, hm?” He had a sweet face, as chubby and pink as the rest of him, freckled from exposure to the sun. There’d been a strange little fog that had rolled in earlier, one of those curious little nautical things that just seem to happen from time to time, but it was gone now and the sky and sea alike couldn’t be clearer or calmer. The sun blazed high in the center of it, turning the surface of the water so bright you could hardly look at it. They made the word empyrean to talk about the sky on a day like this, did you know that? English-speakers use it to mean heavenly, which is fair, language being what it is and all, but in my home tongue it literally means on fire. “Where … what happened?” he managed. The words rasped a little out of his throat, parched from the salt water he’d swallowed. A little disorientation was normal in situations like this. He seemed like a sharp kid. He’d adapt. I gave him another little drink from the canteen. This time he let me control the pace and didn’t object when I decided he was done. Good boy; he was learning. “Why don’t you start by telling me what you remember?” We could piece it together, together.

Take What You Can, originally written for Shousetsu Bang*Bang Issue No. 91 (Be Gay, Do Crimes), a story about colony governor's daughter Amelia Crowe losing her virginity to a notorious pirate, rescuing themselves and her childhood sweetheart, and then convincing said childhood sweetheart to break the sexy notorious pirate out of jail and sail away to have threesomes and be pirates together.

I'm linking to the AO3 version instead of the s2b2 website version because some last-minute edits to further file the serial numbers down to plausible deniability resulted in some inconsistencies that are corrected in the AO3 version.

Signal-boosting this, and also adding to this more detailed info about the deleted Tumblr for Shousetsu Bang*Bang. Our blog was terminated on May 4 of this year. As of today, June 13, I have yet to hear any communication from Tumblr about it, despite several attempts from multiple people to reach out on our behalf.

While Shousetsu Bang*Bang does contain plenty of trans content and content by trans creators, we don't market the zine specifically as that. However, one of the two posts that got flagged right before the SSBB Tumblr went kablooie was definitely risque art featuring a transfem body -- in a post clearly labeled as Mature, that had been up for well over a year with no problem. It was only when I asked for a review of the blog's NSFW status (which we'd obediently self-identified as years before the porn ban) that those posts were flagged and the account was terminated almost immediately after. I had not, until this post, made that connection.

Considering the recent targeted terminations against blogs run by transfems in the last couple of days (angel-athetos, fungalfaggot, coyote-roadkill, hound-mother, corpse-of-omelas-ageplayer and my previous blog, zebrabyopn3), some close friends and myself worked on a google form where users can make submissions for their terminated blogs. Too many of us have lost our blogs and everything in them, yet there's no existing record of blogs that have been terminated, so we want to change that. If you're not a transfem you can also answer, as we want data about all deleted blogs in general, like: the name of the banned blog, date of termination, and if there was a reason given or warning for the deletion (or not)

The form consists of 8 questions and takes around 3-5 minutes to answer. We'd appreciate sharing this with anyone that has been unfairly terminated, so we can create a record, so those blogs and their names can be remembered
