Katsuki stirred awake to being wrapped up in warmth and silence. He felt like he was swaying, and something was tickling his cheek; when he cracked open his eyes, he was met with very familiar red spiked hair, some of the strands brushing against his face where his head was propped on a broad shoulder. “Ki’shima?”

The boy in question glanced to the side, a small smile growing on his face when their gazes met. “Hey man, welcome back,” he said, his voice noticeably quieter than usual.

“Wha’s goin’ on?” Katsuki squinted as he took in their surroundings. They were on campus, on the path toward the dorms from the looks of it; the dark sky and the streetlamps illuminating their way signified that the sun had set a long time ago.

“You fell asleep back in the library, remember?” Kirishima said, turning back forward so he could see where he was going. “You were helping us study for our upcoming test but you passed out before we finished, so we decided to call it quits early. I didn’t wanna wake you up, you looked tired as is, so I decided to carry you back to the dorms. The others already went ahead with our stuff.”

Ah, right. He’d been dead on his feet by the time he got back to campus after his work study that day, but Katsuki had already committed to tutoring the rest of the squad that evening, so he hadn’t bailed. He didn’t think he was gonna fall asleep in the middle of it though. “You could’ve woken me up, I can fuckin’ walk.”

Kirishima’s smile tugged up a little higher. “You looked so peaceful though, I didn’t have the heart to.”

Katsuki huffed, rolling his eyes. “Idiot.”

Kirishima side-eyed him, his smile gone as he gave him a disapproving look. “You’re one to talk, you shouldn’t have forced yourself to tutor us if you were tired.”

“Fuck you, don’t tell me what to do,” Katsuki said, glaring back at him, but there wasn’t nearly as much fire in his eyes or voice as he’d hoped due to still being drowsy. “I already promised you morons that I was gonna tutor you so I fucking did. Besides, if I hadn’t you all would’ve been all, ‘Blasty, we’re gonna fail because we’re idiots, will you tutor us tomorrow? We’ll owe you for the rest of our sad dumb lives.’” Katsuki had pitched his voice up and made himself sound as whiny as possible to imitate the others, but rather than being insulted, Kirishima just laughed, just as quietly as he’d been speaking.

“You’re funny when you’re sleepy, dude.”

“Shut up.” Katsuki settled back against Kirishima’s shoulder, turning his face into his neck and snuggling back into his body heat, his arms wrapping tighter around him. The night air was nippy as it got deeper into autumn, but Kirishima being a natural space heater was warding it off just fine.

He’d only just gotten comfortable when Kirishima suddenly tripped over something, stumbling to a stop and jostling Katsuki, making him grab onto Kirishima tighter as his eyes flew open. “Oi, don’t drop me, asshole!”

“Sorry! S-Sorry man, just-” 

Katsuki could feel Kirishima’s heart racing through his back, and when he looked at his face it was bright red, practically glowing in the streetlights. Instinctively (or maybe because he was still half-asleep), Katsuki reached a hand up to brush a knuckle against Kirishima’s cheek; it was burning under his touch. “You good? Need me to get down?”

“I-I’m fine.” Kirishima avoided his eye, his blush getting darker. “Do you wanna get down? Walk back on your own?”

Katsuki contemplated it, but not for long, because Kirishima was really comfortable. “Nah.” He fixed his hold around Kirishima’s neck. “If you’re good, then I’m good.”

He felt Kirishima swallow and let out a shaky breath, but he still fixed his grip around Katsuki’s knees, hefting him up higher on his back. “Alright…should just be a little longer.” And he kept walking.

Katsuki settled back against his shoulder, intending to stay awake this time, but to the sway of Kirishima’s steps and the warmth radiating off of him, he found himself being lulled back to sleep.

🌸 - I just want to establish the following isn’t an attack on all shippers of this ship because not all of you are toxic it’s just that some of y’all scare me;

So I have been having a few mental health issues this week and I have the bkdk tag blocked but I can’t figure out how to block tags on yt and instagram so I literally started crying when I was exposed to it. I experienced a lot of toxicity from them on twt so I can’t even look at the ship but kiribaku has been my comfort ship. Unfortunately because the canon material has been focused on deku and bakugo, which makes me deeply uncomfortable. I don’t have the context but the sheer idea of bakugo having feelings for the nerd, even in subtext makes me physically sick. It’s not that I don’t like deku, it’s just that the ship feels like pseudo incest because in my interpretation they act like brothers. Also the fact that kirishima isn’t really relevant as much anymore bothers me. He’s a good character on his own and I’ve accepted the fact that it won’t be canon because it’s shonen. But after kamijiro (which I also have blocked in tags but don’t mind at the moment) had that out of pocket scene that caused me a literal mental breakdown (long story), my mental health can’t handle the fact that bakugo literally sacrificed himself for deku without even a reference to his CANON BEST FRIEND kirishima. I deeply hope that we get a blatant confirmation that bakugo and deku have a BROTHERLY relationship even if we don’t get any on screen kiribaku crumbs. I want reassurance that bkdk would never happen and for the toxic shippers to stop posting bkdk content under the krbk tags and stop trying to force your ship onto others. I already had a crisis about accidentally falling in love with a fictional character (Denki) and feeling heartbroken but now I have to deal with possible subtextual evidence for bkdks and a lack of krbk content in canon. Please tell me I’m just the subtext wrong and that in context I don’t have to worry. I’m freaking out because I’ve seen krbk solos literally get doxxed on twitter and harassed by toxic bkdks.

1. How many works do you have on A03? 120!!

2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 497,454. I have over 25k I haven't posted on A03 though so tack that on and I'm looking at roughly 520k in total.

3. What fandoms do you write for? I currently write for BNHA/ MHA. I used to write for Durarara, HP, Fruits Basket but that was a looooong time ago when I was in my teens lol

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Fair warning: most of them are NSFW. 1) Take a Bite of Me, 2) Another Day, Another F*ck, 3) more than a learning curve, 4) Need Your Touch, 5) Wrong Size

5. Do you respond to comments? I try to, but I get extremely lazy after a bit and then months later, I respond.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? It would have to be my MCD KRBK fic that I never posted on AO3. It's on Twitter in full but both of them end up dying in the end, one earlier than the other.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Almost all my fics have a happy ending but the happiest one I have thus far is "more than a learning curve". It's completely self indulgent so I wanted it to end in a cute way 🥺

8. Do you get hate on fics? I've only thankfully gotten it once and it was on a collaboration fic. I don't let that stuff bother me though 💜

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Absolutely. Almost 3/4 of my fics on AO3 and Twitter are explicit. I have the most fun writing them.

10. Do you write crossovers? Nope. I don't watch/read enough or have enough creativity to do something like that.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Once. I was very young and found it when searching for my fic title online. It was under a different name and everything. I was so upset that I deleted the fic on my end and stopped completely.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nada. But I would be over the moon if it ever happened. I would need to give approval first before anything, though. I don't want to come across it one day and nothing was said to me, y'know?

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes! I've done several actually. Some haven't ever been posted publicly but I have a few on AO3 like "Challenge Accepted" and "Pain and Pleasure" that I did with some mutuals on Twitter. It was very fun and I adore doing it 🥰

14. What's your all time favorite ship? KiriBaku! They have my heart in a chokehold. I'm trying to get into others from different fandoms but this one is hard to top.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Hidden Behind a Whisper. I loved loved writing this one when I started and I do go and add some from time to time but I've lost half the motivation I had when I first began. It's sad 😭

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue and action scenes. The way I write is like imagining a movie scene, and I write each movement someone makes and go from there. In example, Kirishima putting a hand around Bakugou's waist, Izuku kissing Ochako's forehead, things like that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Repetitiveness. I tend to say the same thing over and over and have to copy paste my document into a website to see which words are used more than they should. Half the time it's either "that", "just", or "but".

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? If you feel it would add more to your story, speak to someone that knows and is fluent in that language and can read over the dialogue to be sure it is correct. Do NOT use Google translate. It's hardly accurate and a terrible source for translation.

19. First fandom you wrote for? HP. It was a Dramione fic and I was I think 14? It's still up online to this day 💀

20. Favorite fic you've written? "more than a learning curve" if we're talking mildly mature. "Need Your Touch" for Explicit.

I WANNA ENTER THIS WORLD????? and the slowdancing one girrrrlll (gender neutral term) art goals <333 i love the focus set by the lighting (TALKING ABOUT LIGHTING, the lanterns???? in that adorable chibi krbk festival art???? that soft glow with those little dots of light everywhere fffuck me uPPP GIRL WHAT THE HELL i LOVE that, that’s gorgeous and looks like it took a good eye for detail and careful attention and application and whatnot to me. and it looks like it was fun to make <3 like you put love into that. i hope that’s true <3) and their pose? you got anatomy DOWN girl (i HOPE you don‘t mind "girl" ahejgkdl, absolutely read it as dude or bestie or whatever else if you‘d like), that’s not easy. at least to me lol. i‘m not an expert but i think it‘s right if i say i especially love the composition of the slowdancing piece? and the background you drew for the kitsune bakugo art is really beautiful and the whole piece is really enticing to look at. idk but it draws you in. i really like looking at it, also bakugo‘s position and the drape of his clothes and the tails lifting up the back of them. i think it‘s beautiful. the colors work together so well and even though it’s very stylized it looks real(istic) enough that i want to go there. it looks like a snapshot, like a photograph, and i want to know what happens next. i feel like you really captured the essence of a beautiful day in a place like that, i really wanna go there asd;fghjh hahaha. i really like looking at it and just kind of dreaming a little bit about it ig haha. maybe it would have been good if i‘d said that before, but i get kind of embarrassed. i‘d be proud forever if i made something like that though and i think you should be too!! (the dragon on his back is awesome too) to conclude: i see a lot of worth in your work!! i think it‘s gorgeous and makes me feel very nice and calm when i see it and i‘d love to be able to create something beautiful like that some day. if you don’t want to share art anymore (or maybe just for a while) that’s of course okay! i hope that creating it brings you joy though.

I feel very overwhelmed with love, I really appreciate that you love that drawing, I put a lot of time and effort into it. I try not to let it get to me but that art didn’t get a lot of attention, not that that should be the main focus but it kinda deterred me for a while to not put so much time and effort into something because not many will like it. But hearing you say this is good motivation to not give up. My art might not be popular but if a few people can love it fiercely then that should be enough.

About:

I-Island week is a KRBK-centric prompt challenge dedicated to the events of the Two Heroes movie. The subplot to the Two Heroes movie was a pivotal moment in KRBK/BKKR shipping, though it is significantly lacking in fandom content. To rectify that, this prompt week is to help create additional content for the tags: Two Heroes Movie and/or I-Island.

Does it have to be canon-compliant?

No. If you want to do a pro-heroes future fic/art of the characters returning to I-Island for a future I-Expo or something of the sort, that is acceptable. This also includes canon divergent (maybe the villains never attacked the island?).

Are other ships allowed?

While KRBKKR should be the focus, other background ships are allowed.

What is the schedule?

I'm a multi-shipper. I think it's probably very clear at this point, but just so I have mentioned it once, I ship a lot of different ships. In almost every fandom I'm in. I ship the same characters with countless other characters.

Sure, I have fave ships (tddk for example) which I post or reblog about more, but I still like other ships a lot as well (you'll see me like bkdk sometimes or krbk).

I also don't really like going around hating ships/series even if I dislike them (I'll keep those rants to myself and my friends, if I ever do rant about a ship it'll be tagged accordingly with an anti-ship tag, but most likely that will never happen).

My point is, even if the majority of the content on here is tddk, there'll be other ship content. I'll write for other ship content.

If that bothers you, that might be something to consider when scrolling through this blog.

However, I've been thinking this through... once I have revamped the blog and start reblogging other content, therefore multiple other ships, I'll tag the ships properly by their shortened ship names later on. That should make blacklisting the ships easier (if the function even works properly, I've been told it's wonky but it can't be worse than Twitter's hellsite filtering or whatever ff.net has going on).

I'll also include a list with the fandoms I'll be posting about later on. I might add ships to that list but eh.

about the krbk drawing! kiri is saying "tres leches?" which literally means "three milks" BUT it's also the name of a pastry which is made by using three different types of milk. and denki replies "in this economy?" so yeah, that's the joke lol saw your tags and thought u might want to know <3 hope you're having a good day!

I did look at it a little and the "economia" kinda made it click, like ah okay in this economy who can buy milk.

For some reason I didn't realize that "tres" was three but I knew "leches" was milk, which really should be the other way around. Thanks Dulingo™ for teaching me what milk is before I learn numbers :)
