Finished the last pchem lab report and just like that, I'm done with pchem lab forever :((( I really really really hope I'll manage to sign up for the pchem related elective next semester.
As for this semester, now that pchem lab is over my very general to-do list has shrunken into:
one last ochem test
finish my analysis in ochem lab
one final
Summer break is so close! I'm not excited about the break itself but rather about this semester ending 😅 It's been a tough one and I know for a fact what's made it more bearable is my friends, cliche as it sounds. I'm so happy they're in my life. I hope they can say the same about me
#im starting my internship like. right after finals#so it's more like summer 'break' lol#but that's july#august and september ill have off#august will actually be for resting but a month is perfectly enough for me#in september ill be losing my mind dying of boredom and missing chem#should i ask my professor if i could drop by during summer before classes start or would that be weird?#mine#studyblr#chemblr#studyspo#study motivation#stemblr#chemistry#sciblr#op

A Ride to Remember
I had known Liam since high school, he was one of the smartest in our grade, but he barely talked to anyone. I considered him a friend, and would work with him whenever I could. Knowing this I should probably introduce myself, my name is Adama Traore, son of two loving immigrant parents, and luckily, very gay. Later during freshman year, I got a boyfriend, I still remember him fondly as my first kiss, and my first heartbreak. When we broke up junior year, I went into a complete spiral, going to gay bars and hooking up with any guy I could find, neglecting my whole life because of a breakup. I barely spoke to Liam that year, I had heard he got a girlfriend in sophomore year, but I couldn’t bring myself to care. When college applications came around I applied to everywhere I could, just to see who would let me in. I knew that Liam was dead-set on going to Pell College, one of the most selective schools in the country. I applied to Pell too, and when decisions came out, I checked it last. It felt like slow motion when I saw in big letters:
ADAMA TRAORE,
WELCOME TO PELL NATION
I was officially a Dire Wolf (the Pell mascot, it’s lame, I know). I saw on the big board in the front office all the other major acceptances. Liam had a couple, but one stood out, a big wolf paw with his name in it, he got in too. I wasn’t shocked, but this most certainly meant we were going to the same college. While this would be the start to a great conversation, it simply never happened, we had just grown too distant.
Senior year came and went with me seeing little of Liam, and now it was summer break. I was college prepping and my mom was sobbing as she took me shopping for essentials each and every day. One day, I went onto our schools acceptance page on Instagram, and the latest post had a familiar person, at least, a familiar name.
@lgporter876 Hey guys, my name is Liam Porter and I am going to be a freshman at Pell in 2023, i wanna get to know ppl so leave ur snaps in the comments.
He was completely different. The shy sweet guy that I knew from high school had changed entirely. I didnt care though, he was doing his own thing and I was doing mine. I posted a few days after him, and I become flooded with dm’s of sorority girls asking me to be their gay best friend, truly something out of a nightmare if you ask me.
The day before classes, all of my things were moved into my dorm and I met my roommates. Kyle was your average nerd, he had brown curly hair and freckles, and wore glasses with wide rims. Next was Jamie, he was quiet, but stood at 6’2 and was here on a basketball scholarship. I immediately started chatting him up, and tried to see if he could be a potential fling. Finally was Eric. Eric was lanky but wasn’t entirely introverted like Kyle, hanging out with people and even becoming a good friend of mine on campus.
One of the buses drop off a load of students to the dorms, and a familiar face comes out of it with bags in hand:
My mom had barely seen Liam since freshman year, and never caught on that it was him, but I most definitely did. He walks to one of the dorms further down from mine, “There goes my chance to chat with him in the hallways.” I think to myself. I was a Literature major, and from what I knew Liam wanted to study Mechanical Engineering, so there was little chance we would ever see each other in the same class.
I go to my first class of the day: “History of Pre-Columbian Writing and Forms” taught by a frazzled professor who looks no younger than 76 named Dr. Fredericks. He was an awesome teacher, and I actually paid attention in class. Afterward I head to my Civics and Common Law class, it was rather empty, except for Liam. He was sitting in the 5th row, and as I open the door he glances back and meets my eye. I sit in the 7th row, open my computer, and start snooping. Lo and behold, this very class was an optional GenEd for Mechanical Engineering, and Liam chose it. I quickly leave class, and rush to my dorm.
A few weeks pass and my minifridge is empty. After eating the dining hall food for practically a month straight I was tired, so I drove to the gas station near our school to get some snacks and microwave meals. In the far back of the gas station I spot a group of frat bros, from the letters I could make out they were in Delta Zeta Kappa, known as one of the most toxic on campus. Laughing right with them is no other than Liam himself.
“You should’ve fucked her!” one of the bros near him says before patting Liam’s back. I try to quickly pick my stuff up and leave, but one of the other brothers whistles at me. It was Tyler Felton, a guy who I drunkenly hooked up with at one of his frat’s parties. Tyler calls me over and introduces me to each of the other brothers, and they start chuckling and jabbing Tyler in the arm, clearly he’s already talked about me to them. When I shake hands with Liam, it’s bare sly even a touch before he already has his hands pulled away.
Leaving the gas station was rather embarrassing, simply because I could imagine what they would talk about once I left. But Liam, he confused me. I didn’t think we were on bad terms, but by that handshake it seems we were.
I go back to my room and go straight to his instagram to figure out what’s going on. He still follows me, and it’s clear he unfollowed people from high school, so if he hated me why in the world did he still follow me?
I look at his recent posts and my eye catches to one of them:
He had clearly been going to the gym, and even though he might be a jerk now, he’s fucking HOT. I pull down my pants and start masturbating, thinking about feeling those muscles of his and fantasizing about how big his cock must be. I close my eyes and start imagining it, and the thought of it makes me end up getting cum all over my phone, and I immediately start wiping it away with tissues, feeling ashamed that I just came to a picture of a guy who is most definitely straight. After my little session on his insta, I study for my pre-calculus exam, and slowly drift to sleep over my notes. My alarm jolts me awake, as drool is all over my notes from my sudden study sesh coma. I rustle them together into my backpack and head to class for the day. Liam is there (as always) and we don’t speak at all during or after class (as always). As we’re packing up Dr. Stevens, the professor for the Civics course, announces we have a group project, but he’s already picked the partners.
As he rattles off last name pairings, I have yet to hear mine or Liam’s, until-“Mr. Traore, Mr. Porter, you two will be paired for this assignment.” My heart sinks to the very bottom of my chest. The guy who I now have nothing in common with, paired up for a 3-week assignment, nothing could be worse. “I can just handle it and you can get credit.” Liam says as he passes by me to leave class. Before he could fully pass, I grab his arm. He jerks back and stares at me. I glare back, “I will do my part too, I don’t know about you, but I care about this work.” Liam keeps my gaze and smirks. He easily releases his arm from my grasp, and walks away.
I don’t hear from him for a while, but he gets to work on our shared document, as do I. I suddenly get a DM on insta, while I expected it to be Liam, it was Tyler, sending me a flyer to his frat’s Halloween party. While Liam was most definitely going to be there, I just wanted a chance to dress all skimpy, so I accepted the invite.
After getting my sluttiest Daphne costume, i head down with Tyler, who decided to pick me up, and match with me as Fred (against my will mind you). My car had broken down, and I was simply far too broke to get it fixed now. We get to the party and it’s already insane, people are outside, beer pong tables set up everywhere, and girls grinding on all the brothers on the dance floor. I see nothing of Liam, but decide that’s a good thing.
The party goes much as I would have expected, with Tyler finding every way to stay near me, and me trying my very best to escape him when I can. I catch a glance of Liam while I walk for my 9th bathroom break to get away from Tyler. As I walk out, he’s near the door, and pushes me back in. “I want us to talk again.” he says, and before I can even get a word out, he leaves, never to be seen again.
Two days later I get a snap notification from none other than the man himself:
Using a shirtless gym selfie to get back into my good graces is a bold choice, considering i’m “talking to” one of his frat brothers, but I assume it’s all platonic, and send a photo of me studying for my literature exam in my bed back. After snapping back and forth for a few days I assume that will be all there is, and accepted that at least he was talking to me about our project. After checking the project the day before it’s due I see an announcement.
YOU ARE TO USE POSTER BOARD TO PRESENT KEY POINTS, POWERPOINT AND OTHER DIGITAL PROGRAMS WILL NOT BE USEABLE AS THE PROJECTOR IS DEAD.
Dr. Stevens was giving us an extension to find the stuff we needed, and I quickly text Liam to go pick up some poster board as my car is still very much broken. He chats back “come with me.” Confusion swept my face as getting poster board definitely wasn’t a two person job, but he quickly chatted again, “we can work on it together at my place.” Seeing this as a chance to actually reconnect, I say yes, and he comes to pick me up.
I start taking hits of my dab pen in the car, knowing that high me would actually be able to get some work done. As we pull into a residential area, he stops and pulls to the sidewalk. I ask him, “Why in god’s name did you stop here??? The store isn’t for a few more miles.” “I have been waiting for this my whole life.” he replies. Thinking i’m about to get axe murdered by my old friend I try to get out, but the doors are locked. He then says, “I never knew how I felt about you until I saw you with that fucker Tyler, the dude doesn’t deserve a pet rock, much less you.” The sudden romantic shift of his words gives me whiplash, but at least he’s not trying to kill me? As he says this, he puts a hand on my thigh. Even though I had ended my villain era, a little hookup between old friends was just what the doctor ordered.
I get in the base of the seat under him and pull his pants down very slowly. His hard dick pops up out of his underwear, and he glances down at me as I start to suck. He groans loudly and grabs the handle at the top, looking at me straight in the eyes the whole time.
As I continue doing down on him, he says, “I knew this would be the best.” If the rumors were true, he had fucked nearly half the freshman girls, and somehow i’m the best? I smile and keep going until he stops me. With his massive arms he pulls my head up and says, “It’s not over yet.” He pulls his shirt over his head, revealing that hard body and, as he starts the car he says, “Keep sucking.”
On the road in the rain, I keep looking up at this old friend of mine, wondering if i had missed a signal, and as I keep going, he starts to push my head down on his massive cock, and then let’s put a loan moan, as he cums all in my mouth. I swallow it down and look up at him, still listening to his music and focusing on the road.
While still below him, we come to a stop. He unbuckles and gets out, only in his boxers. I shimmy up and stumble out, clearly not at a Walmart or any place we could get poster for that matter. “It’s my cousins place, he’s not home so he lets me stay.” Liam says as if reading my mind. It’s clear what he wants, and I get ready for it.
After getting in he immediately starts kissing me, Unbuttoning my shirt, and pulling down my pants until i’m much like him, only far less muscly and way shorter. He pins me against the wall and starts kissing my nipples, saying, “Do you like that?” as he goes on and on. Eventually he takes me upstairs, and as I do I see him pull his boxers down. He tells me, “Get on the bed.” and I comply.
As i’m under him on the bed, he starts shoving his dick in my ass, pounding and pounding my tight ass and grunting all while doing it. He flexes his muscles in a mirror right next to the bed, which is the only way i can even notice what he’s doing as he’s giving me the best backshots of my life. He tells me to get up and wrap my legs around his, with his cock still in me i maneuver around and do it, and he asks, “Is that better?” After nodding he says, “Good boy.” and I look down, completely falling for him. As he pounds me again, I feel up and down his hard body, and he keeps fucking me ruthlessly.
After pounding my ass until it goes from a dark brown to a purplish tinge, Liam says, “I’ve had a crush on you since forever, but I never knew what to say, and by the time I could you had a boyfriend. I was always looking for a chance but I thought it would never happen, so I worked to be the guy you would want, and I just hope I fucking am.” How had I been so naïve??? He wanted to be with me since freshman year and I was the one to friendzone him. Letting this words sit with me for a while I caress his face and say, “You have always been the guy I wanted, I was just too blind to see.”
He smirks and starts fucking like never before, he takes my hips and moves it towards and away from his cock, grunting each time his cock goes all the way in me. In this moment I don’t see anything else but him, and as he cums in me I pull his body towards me, pulling him into me, and embracing him as our warm sweaty bodies touch. After that we end up continuing for five more rounds, each getting more and more passionate. After that whenever we would see each other after class,we would go into the supply closet and fuck again. I felt like a ball of hormones but it felt good with him.
Finally at present day, with us having been dating for three years, it seems like all of this could’ve been missed if anything had gone wrong. Every moment with him is truly memorable, and even though I never would’ve saw myself with the quiet nerd turned frat guy, I guess that’s what happened. I thank the universe each and every day for that fateful car ride, and as i get ready to graduate, I start thinking that Porter sounds like a perfect last name for me.

Shuri x Reader No More Misunderstandings
Summary: One of your classmates overstep your boundaries and Shuri isn't having it.
Warnings: Violence, Attempted assault
"Alright make sure you go over the entire lesson tonight. We will be having the test tomorrow class is dismissed" The professor announced.
The entire class let out a collective groan as the professor just waved it off turning around to wipe his whiteboard clean. You dropped your head onto the desk letting out a sigh of exasperation. You were hoping the test would be put off until Friday, but then again this professor had a thing about. Not wanting to disturb his student's weekend fun.
In the beginning all of you thought it was a good thing a professor who didn't hold any important exams during the last two days before the weekend. But sometimes it could be annoying to have a test so early in the week. When most of you were still recovering from the after effects of partying too hard. The lesson here was don't party too hard, but that wasn't your problem. Parties weren't really your scene and you didn't really show your face at most of them. You were too busy trying to keep up with your classes, working an internship at one of the biggest news company in the world, and tutoring on the side. And tonight you had a three-hour tutor session with a close friend who needed it badly. Which left you with two options for studying for this test.
Cram in a last minute study session before class tomorrow, and pray that photographic memory will work its magic. Or pull an all nighter to study and catch up on sleep on the weekend.
You started packing up your bag knowing the professor would start rushing any remaining students out in a minute or two. When Aisha walked into the booth to stand over you. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it just as fast with a frown.
You looked up at her raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Can I help you Aisha?"
"I don't want to overstep my boundaries" she said still a little hesitant.
"With what?" You asked having a slight idea of what it was.
"You're tutoring Skylar tonight right?"
You nodded with a frown hoping she wasn't about to threaten you or anything. The two of them had started to date during the summer, but broke it off only a month ago. Rumor has it Aisha was the one to call things off, so why was she approaching you now about her ex was beyond you? You thought she was going to drill you for info on your relationship with a certain Princess. After you accidentally brought the relationship to light with a careless social media post.
"Don't think too much of what I'm about to say, but I don't think you should be the one tutoring her. Just tell her to go find someone else there are plenty other students who can do it" Aisha said.
"Maybe later this week but not so last minute and she has major quiz coming up tomorrow. I can't cancel on her last minute Aisha" You protested.
"Y/N trust me when I say its in your best interest to just not do it" she argued again. There was a little whine to her voice now.
"Wow not only did you break her heart but now you want her to fail her classes." You replied standing up and slinging your bag over your shoulder.
"There was a reason I broke up with her you know" Aisha shot back with hurt filled eyes.
You could tell that you had struck a nerve, and brought up some unpleasant memories. That's when it occurred to you no one really knew why she had broke things off with Skylar in the first place. Whenever someone tried to get her to open up Aisha would just shutdown the conservation. And it was crazy considering you and her use to be good friends until she started dating Skylar. After that both of them kind of started shutting you out, and after the breakup. Skylar came crawling back to you for a shoulder to cry on which you provided her with.
Which is why you were having a hard time believing this was anything other than her being the jealous ex, and trying to get back at Skylar for whatever reason.
"Whatever Aisha I got to go if you want to tell me what's the real reason I can't tutor her then you know where to find me. Our session starts in about an hour so please speak up before then if it's that important." You told her then pushed past her to leave but she caught you by the wrist.
"Y/N just wait I'm ser-"
You yanked your wrist free of her grip, and continued on your way. Aisha tried to call out for you to stop, but you were done with her games.
Aisha never came to your dorm where you tended to hold your tutoring sessions. You were one of those lucky students who didn't have to deal with a roommate. So the massive space was all yours, and you went all out on the decorations. Half of your dorm was renovated into a small work study space.
A knock came from the door pulling your attention from the pizza bagels that you were throwing into the oven. You always provided snacks when a session was going to last longer than a hour, and kept note of what people liked. You walked over to open the door, and indeed it was Skylar dressed in black basketball shirts, and a black tank top. No doubt the girl had just come from basketball practice her hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail, and she was grinning from ear to ear.
"Sorry for my attire I would've been late if I tried to make it to my dorm to change. Practice ran a little later than usual I swear coach was trying to kill us today. I did manage to shower before coming so I don't smell at least." Skylar said rubbing the back of her neck nervously.
You waved her off with a laugh and reached out to take her by the hand pulling her into the room. "Girl you're fine I tutor half of the football team, so trust me I've seen worse. Those boys tend to come to our sessions sweaty and all."
She grimaced at that. "And you let them in."
"It depends sometimes all they need is a quick wash off in a bathroom, but if its really bad then no" You told her.
She laughed dropping her gym bag in the corner of the study space. You already had everything you guys would need to start set up on a table by the comfy couch. Skylar fell back into the cushions and you sat down beside her.
"Snacks will be ready in about twenty more minutes we'll take our first break then let's get started."
"You really are the best y/n" she beamed.
It was an hour into the session when the two of you actually got around to taking a break. The pizza bagels had to be reheated, but that was the good thing about cheap food. Skylar was leaned back in the corner of the couch plate of food in her lap. When you returned with a soda for her and a water for yourself. You placed the soda on the table, and mimc her position letting yourself relax.
"So you and the Princess of Wakanda huh" she stated breaking the silence.
You threw your head back with a chuckle before replying. "Alright what do you want to know?" Skylar wouldn't be the first girl to try and get details of your relationship with Shuri. While usually you would just shut the conservation down and change the topic. You figured it wasn't a horrible idea to feed her some information. Nothing to revealing but just enough so she would have something to gossip about with the basketball team later. Rumors about you and Shuri were already starting to circulate around campus, and while none of them had reached your ears yet. You knew people were getting antsy and were coming up with their own theories. This way you get could get ahead of it and at least some of what would be said would actually be true.
"Are you happy?" Skylar asked almost a little hesitant. Your head snapped in her direction. She was staring down at her food as if it was the most interesting thing in the room.
"Um yeah I am" You answered not hiding the tone of confusion in your voice.
She let out a low hum nodding her head. A few seconds went by before she spoke again. "I mean it can't be easy with the long distance thing you know."
"Its not but nothing in this world comes easy you know especially love. I think that's why so many couples don't last these days everyone is convinced that love is supposed to be the easiest thing in the world, and when things get hard. They choose to walk away instead of fighting for one another." You told her a dreamy expression taking over your face. Thoughts of Shuri and all your favorite moments flooded your brain.
"Yeah but its not just the distance I mean the girl is a Princess of a whole other country with like royal duties to attend to. Plus I mean people are saying she is the Black Panther now, so doesn't that make her an Avenger too. So on top of being in charge of an entire nation of people. She also has the save the world fro-" Skylar rambled on until you held up a hand to shut her up.
"Skylar I don't need you map out all the obstacles of our relationship. I knew what I was signing up for when we started dating. You're not telling me anything I don't already know" You snapped angrily.
"I'm just saying is there even room for you in her life? Don't you think you would be better off with someone like you." She argued setting her plate down on the table.
"Like me how" You said with your frown now turning into a scowl.
"I don't know normal I mean-"
"Skylar what is all of this about? What are you trying to accomplish with this conservation?" You questioned her the rage in your voice undeniable.
Skylar flinched at the tone and ran a hand through her hair letting out a sound of frustration. "I just want to make sure you're happy with her."
"Well I thought I made it clear that I was, but here you are trying to poke holes into my relationship."
"Because I think you would be happier with me" she cried getting to her feet. Skylar left the work space area to head to the kitchen.
It finally dawned on you the real reason as to why Aisha warned you not to tutor her tonight. "Sky why did you and Aisha really break up?"
"We weren't a good match for each other" she lied, and you could see it in her eyes.
"Try again" You demanded.
"Because I was into you I've always been into you since freaking high school y/n, and I thought Aisha would help me get over you but it wasn't working. She wanted me to stop being friends with you, and I tried at first but it really sucked. We argued about it and she dumped me" Skylar told you refusing to look in your direction.
This was all news to you while you and Skylar had known each other since freshmen year in high school, and were pretty close friends. You never thought the girl had feelings for you, but then again you were so focused on your studies in high school. You were oblivious to most teenage things like puppy love.
"I know what you're thinking y/n and what I feel for you goes way beyond some stupid crush. Okay I really really like you and I have for a long time now. I think you like me back too now you're just afraid to admit it."
That had you getting to your feet with your hands held up in front of you to ward her off. Skylar had started moving towards you but paused. "Skylar listen I'm sorry if I've been giving you the wrong impression these past couple of months. But I'm not into like that okay I just wanted to be there for you. I thought I was helping you recover from a broken heart. Not leading you on that was never my intention. I love Shuri."
It was as if you drove a knife in her heart with your last words as her expressions went from hopeful to hurt then anger. "Are you freaking serious y/n you never gave us a chance."
"There is no us Sky" You sighed in frustration moving away from the couch. As she started to advance on you again with a look of determination.
"Just one kiss alright" she suggested.
You frowned "fuck no."
"Why not? You that scared you might feel something for me" Skylar pushed now standing right in front of you.
"Listen you just need to leave okay" You ordered her backing up further into your bedroom space.
"All I want is one kiss your precious princess will never know, and you owe me at least that." Skylar insisted following you relentlessly. Before you could tell her to leave again she was on you gripping your waist painfully to pull your body against hers. You placed your hands on her shoulder to shove her away, but she stood her ground. Unfortunately Skylar was a seasoned athlete and that overall made her slightly stronger and bigger than you muscle wise. You started to retreat backwards but once again she matched your pace.
"Skylar let me go" You shouted pushing at her shoulders.
"Just one fucking kiss it won't kill you" Skylar shot back now sounding a bit more angry than before. The back of your knees hit your bed, and with a shove from her. You fell back onto the bed and before you right yourself. Skylar was on top of you attempting to kiss you on the lips, but you turned your head to the side.
"Skylar no I'm serious alright get the hell off of me" You told her trying to sound as forceful as you could. Panic was starting to kick in as you attempted to bring your knee up in her stomach to put some space between your bodies. "I said no."
There was a hint of desperation behind the hunger look in her eyes. Skylar wanted no needed this but you weren't about to give in. Just as you were feeling hopeless her weight was lifted from your body, and Skylar found herself flying through the air. A silent scream left her mouth as she flew back to hit the floor on her back. The impact made a loud thud sound mixed with her cry of pain.
You propped yourself up on your elbows to see who or what had got her off of you. Shuri stood in front of you with her back to you facing Skylar who had now recovered, and scrambled back into the door. The Princess was dressed in one of signature jumpsuit this one was black matched with some black Nike shoes. The most current ones to drop she stood tall over your now ex-friend.
Shuri slowly stalked towards the crying girl who winced when she attempted to climb to her feet. You couldn't see your girlfriend's face but didn't need to. In order to know she had a look of murderous rage from the way fear had gripped Skylar.
"Did your parents not teach you that no means no" Shuri finally spoke up. Her tone was dangerously calm and it sent chills down your spine.
"Princess um listen I-I-I um" Skylar stuttered out.
"Use your words usisidenge" Shuri snapped.
Skylar flinched but found her voice to plead her case. "I just misunderstood-"
"Did you not hear her the no or get off because I certainly did halfway down the hall" Shuri said cutting her off. With her super hearing the Princess was able to hear your struggles with Skylar from outside of the building. The distress in your voice is what made her rush up the stairs instead of using the elevator.
"Um yeah I did" Skylar admitted.
"Then what exactly did you misunderstand" The Princess asked her anger becoming more evident by the second.
Skylar was finally able to push herself up into a standing position, but before she could make a move to grasp the doorknob. Shuri was right in front of hair wrapping a hand around her thoart to slam her back into the door. Skylar cried out in pain but the cry turned into gasp for air as Shuri squeezed.
You finally regained feeling in your legs and jumped off the bed to run over to them.
"If I ever catch you anywhere near her again, or if she tells me you're giving her trouble. I swear you are going to wish you had never met y/n do you understand me?" Shuri seethed.
"Shuri stop you're too strong you're going to hurt her" You protested. Without thinking you grabbed the back of her jacket, and blinded by rage Shuri threw her other hand out knocking you away. She must have been somewhat aware of her actions, because of the force was only strong enough to make you stumble back. You tripped over your own feet and fell to the floor. If she had been using her full strength your body would've went sailing through the air.
Shuri turned her attention to you real quick to fix you with a stern glare. The message was clear stay back and let her handle this. While you were scared for what she might do to Skylar, and low key felt bad for her. Skylar brought it upon herself and kind of deserved it. Plus it not like Shuri had lost all control over her anger. Your ex-friend was able to take a few straggled breaths of air.
"Please I'm sorry Princess" she whimpered holding onto Shuri's wrist with tears pooling in her eyes.
"You're sorry you got caught" Shuri corrected her tightening her grip for just a second before relaxing it again. "You got any classes with y/n transfer out of them tomorrow. You see her coming down a hallway or into a building change directions. I mean it I don't want you anywhere near her, and don't let there be anymore misunderstandings Sky." Her tone was condescending when she used the girl's nickname.
Skylar nodded desperately pulling at her hand. "I understand" she pleaded. Just like that Shuri released her hold on her neck and took a step back. But the girl didn't dare move letting the Princess walk over to get her bag. Where she began to stuff her paperwork and textbook into it carelessly. Once she was done Shuri motioned for her to open to the door which Skylar did practically running out of it into the safety of the hallway. The Princess heaved her bag after her, and slammed the door shut.
For a few minutes there was just silence as Shuri kept her back to with her hands balled into fists pressed into the door. She was breathing hard trying to calm herself down. You were back on your feet now and walked over to her wrapping your arms around her waist from behind. You rested your head on her back and let out a soft hum. "My guardian angel."
Shuri let out a chuckle and turned around in your arms. You let out a yelp as she lifted you into her arms bridal style. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to push you I swear." She whispered her tone apologetic.
"I know" you told her.
She walked over to the bed and fell back onto it with you in her arms. You moved so your body was only lying on her halfway with your legs off to the side. "Who was that girl?" Shuri questioned her brows furrowing.
"One of my friends from high school she's never acted like that before. Apparently she's had feelings for me a while and I just didn't notice. Another girl tried to warn me not to tutor her I thought she was being the vengeful ex. I should've listened" You explained a bit ashamed. When you turned your head to the side Shuri gripped your chin bringing your face back to hers.
"Hey none of what happened is your fault you know that. You were just doing your job as a tutor Skylar was the one who screwed up" Shuri said. You could see her muscles tense when at the name.
"I know I'm lucky you came to the rescue. What are you doing here anyway?"
"Wakanda is in a pretty good place right now so I felt like they would be okay without me for a few days. I wanted to surprise you"
"Well you surely did" You whispered your lips only inches from hers now. Shuri closed the distance craning her head forward to mash her soft lips up against yours. You responded immediately kissing back with an urgency. While you wouldn't admit it seeing her rough house Skylar earlier and all protective had sparked something in you. It turned you more than anything. Your lips moved in sync with hers in not so gentle kiss. You bit her lip as you finally pulled away for air.
"Don't you have a test in the morning sthandwa" Shuri whispered as you nuzzled your nose into her neck. Her body heating up as you planted kisses on her collarbone.
"You're worth the failing grade" You replied back sealing your lips back onto hers. The kiss was brief as Shuri moved away flipping you around so you were under her body.
She put her lips to your ear "I am but I don't want to hear you cry about later."
Just like that Shuri righted herself chuckling at the pout on your face. "Don't worry you're going to have me to yourself all week entle. Which means we can also throw in some self-defense lessons as well."
"Alright that's fair" You conceded throwing yourself backward into the bed. Shuri had gotten up to get your textbook and was now settled beside you again.
"Come on now let's study for every question you get right it earns you a kiss."

Hello! Can I request an imagine with Draco and a Slytherin! Reader where they both are totally in love with each other and maybe one day in class Draco is being particularly needy/frustrated one day and she’s his partner and sees he’s super hard and she teases him but when class is over he asks the reader to give him a blowjob because he loves her mouth and he’s just so whiny and he later spoils the hell out of his girl at Hogsmeade!
This is literally SOOOO LONG!! I don’t know why I wrote so much, but I just really wanted to include all that stuff, lol. My excuse for the length is that I hit a 1,000 followers about two days ago so this is the celebratory piece!
This goes without saying, but this piece contains a lot of sexual content so please do not read if you are underage or uncomfortable with said topics. I also wrote this in a different perspective because I wanted to try it out so I hope you enjoy!
Warning: SMUT, Oral (Male Receiving)
Title: Princess
ϟ ϟ ϟ
It was a warm summer’s day, close to the start of the new term. These past few weeks at Malfoy Manor had been tense and Draco often found himself rather stressed . A large part of him felt guilty for leaving his mother at home in the presence of Lord Voldemort, but another part of him felt grateful to be out of his sight. Finally, he could escape the Dark Lord’s watchful eyes, but he could not escape the plan set for him to complete.
Draco’s eyebrows knitted together as he squinted towards the merchandise wall inside Twilfitt and Tattings. Even when he was not around, Draco could still sense the Dark Lord’s influence and the constant reminder of the outcome if he were to fail. However, as he thought of better ways to mend the vanishing cabinet, something caught his attention.
“Draco darling,” You called to him, stepping out of the changing room with a small smile on your face. Draco’s eyes widened in an instant, a lump forming in his throat as he examined the champagne dress clinging to your body. It was a delicate number with thin, spaghetti strap sleeves attached to the cowl-neck gown, the silk fabric shimmering softly as you stepped onto the podium.
With a content hum, Draco pushed himself off the wall, his grey eyes locked with yours in the shop mirror as he walked towards you. He rested his hand against your waist, his fingers tenderly sliding down to feel the smooth silk against them, “You look ravishing,” he whispered against your ear, pressing a kiss against the shell of it before stepping back to get a better view of you.
You smiled satisfyingly, taking a moment to admire the all-black ensemble he wore and how it slimmed him down in all the right places. He stood in a black turtleneck and a fitted suit jacket, his left hand in the pocket of his slacks while the thumb of the other swiped over his bottom lip. A string of questions crossed through Draco’s mind, “When would you wear this?” he thought, tapping his finger against his chin.
Surely, there was no surprise ball this year, he would’ve heard by now. “Would you wear it on a date?” he questioned, imagining a scenario where the two of you ate dinner at a fancy restaurant, illuminated by just candlelight. “Even better,” Draco trailed off, his eyes lingering over your arse as you admired yourself in the mirror, looking over your shoulder to see the diamond detail that connected the open back, “What would such an expensive piece of clothing look like on his dormitory floor?”
Draco recalled the conversation he shared with his mother a week prior, where she had counseled him after a particularly difficult day. Narcissa Malfoy had an interesting way of comforting her son. Of course, she sat and listened to him, holding him as he cried, a mixture of guilt and failure coursing through her veins as she fought against the Dark Lord’s plans for her beloved son. The next day, however, she entered Draco’s room with a smile and presented a brand-new wardrobe for him as a start of term gift.
Pulling himself away from his thoughts, Draco gave a gentle smile and looked up at you, instantly meeting your hopeful eyes.
“Oh, those eyes”
“I’m not sure if I should get it,” You admitted, your bottom lip jutting out in a pout as you hopped off the podium and halted in front of the platinum-haired boy. Closing his eyes, Draco took a deep breath, captivated by the intoxicating smell of vanilla radiating off your body. An exquisite aroma, packaged in a —hand-blown— glass perfume bottle with delicate golden leaves painted onto it, finished off with your initials carved at the bottom of it.
Another one of Draco’s thoughtful gifts.
“And why is that?” asked Draco, his hand resting against the side of your neck, his thumb rubbing small circles against your jaw. The dress was cut just right, the tight, draped bodice granted him a wonderful view of your breasts, but he looked away to halt the tightening of his pants.
“I’ve got no occasion for a dress like this,” declared a slightly defeated (Y/N), taking another glance in the mirror, “Well, we’ve still got the goodbye dinner with your parents” You recalled, running your hands down your hips, unintentionally catching Draco’s attention as he remembered the family dinner he had forgotten about.
“That settles it then,” announced Draco in a chipper tone, “I’ll buy the dress,” he grinned, stepping towards his girlfriend, but halting by the display of diamond accessories. With a glance over the merchandise, he pointed at a necklace set with a pair of earrings, receiving praises from the shopkeeper. Taking the necklace from the older wizard, Draco walked over to (Y/N), “turn around,” he uttered and you happily obliged, watching him as he placed the delicate piece around your neck.
“Draco-” you began to protest, but he only pressed a kiss against your cheek, clasping the necklace and letting his fingers linger at the back of your neck. The necklace was a breathtaking, diamond necklace with seven glittering emeralds spread evenly across the center.
“The bracelet and earrings will do nicely as well,” Draco said, nodding his head in approval and signaling for the shopkeeper to begin ringing them up. You opened your mouth to protest again, but Draco placed his finger against your lips, “I believe you recall what I’ve told you, hm?” he teased, raising a questioning eyebrow as (Y/N) nodded, fighting back a smile, “Then, let Daddy spoil you, Princess.”
There was no denying the power Draco’s tone held over you. His words shot straight between your legs, the feeling of his lips pressed against the side of your neck making you fall against him, finally becoming aware of his erection now pressed against your thigh.
“Let's finish up so we can go back to the Manor,” you proposed, shifting your thigh ever so slightly to provide him with some much-needed friction. Draco bit his lip and gave a stiff nod, stepping away from you before you could tease him further.
“Go change,” he ordered, the cocky smirk returning to his lips, “You’ve got five minutes.” Running back towards the dressing room, you peeled off the dress and stepped into your usual clothes, practically sprinting out of it once finished. After a hasty checkout, the two of you exited the shop hand-in-hand, the bag containing your gifts swinging in Draco’s other hand.
ϟ ϟ ϟ
This school year proved to be the most difficult one yet. N.E.W.T.s we’re now less than a year away and it was never too soon to begin revising. You, however, found it quite difficult to focus on school these last few days. Despite his constant reassurances that he was all right, (Y/N) found some of Draco’s recent behavior quite odd. This strange feeling first arose the week you stayed at Malfoy Manor, where the four of them sat cautiously at a table with Draco’s aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange. You had always had a good relationship with Draco’s relatives, but it was clear to you something was occurring under wraps, something Draco did not want you to know about. Noting his hesitation whenever you brought up the subject, you decided against prying any more information out of him and returned to your studies. Your dedication to academic achievement, much to your surprise, did not go unnoticed by the new Potions Master at Hogwarts, who had heard all about you and Miss Hermione Granger, the two top students of the sixth year.
Horace Slughorn was a portly, older man, but very gifted with potions and an excellent Professor. Upon arrival, he sought out some of the school’s most promising students and invited them to his office for an elegant dinner. One morning, during breakfast, your owl dropped the intricately decorated envelope right in front of your plate. You had no chance to conceal the envelope from your curious boyfriend, the same one that had tried, without succeeding, to get invited to said dinner.
However, to your surprise, Draco was not upset. Instead, he pressed a gentle kiss against your temple and muttered the words, “You deserve it, baby girl.” The pet name sends chills down your spine, a smile playing at your lip as his hand rests upon your knee, the cold metal of his rings easing any sort of tension in your body. His left hand rested against your jawline, his slender fingers twiddling with the pearl earring, admiring the small ruby motif encrusted right above the hanging pearl.
(Y/N) leaned her cheek against his palm, setting the invitation down on the dining hall table, “Are you sure, Darling?” you questioned, taking the time to rest your hand over his, “I might not be able to fit it into my schedule...” you admitted, thoughts of Draco’s mysterious disappearances crossing your mind. Bringing your hand up to his mouth, Draco pressed a soft kiss against the back of it before leaning to press one against your lips.
“I think,” he started, a sparkle of mischief in his eyes, “You should go show them what the brightest, most caring, and, without a doubt, sexiest girl in Slytherin House has to offer” Draco praised, giving your thigh a small squeeze before dipping to steal another kiss from you, “How does that sound?” He asked sweetly, showering you with yet another kiss, this one against your forehead.
It was no secret that Draco Malfoy and (Y/N) (L/N) were truly and undeniably in love. Often, the corridors were filled with the incessant whispers of jealous girls who longed for Draco’s attention, but he paid no attention to them. The Slytherin Prince only had eyes for you, the only constant ray of sunshine in his life. Whenever he looked at you, he reminded himself of his vow to keep you completely satisfied, and the only reward he wanted was seeing that gorgeous smile on your face. You were everything to him. You were the only one who knew about his previous family troubles, the one who would hold him when he cried during the late hours of the evening. The one who would fix his tie the second it seemed out of place, the one who would rub his shoulders whenever you noticed him bent over his assignments.
He would do everything and anything to ensure you felt like the luckiest girl in the world because he knew you, out of all people, deserved it the most.
”You make an excellent point, Mr. Malfoy,” You grinned, nodding your head in agreement, and flinging your arms around his shoulders. A soft smile crept up Draco’s lips as his arms wrapped around your waist, holding you tightly against his chest and placing a kiss at the top of your head.
“Don’t I always?” teased Draco, running his fingers through your hair as the other students exited the Great Hall and made their way towards the classes. Rolling your eyes at his response, you placed your hand against his cheek, stealing a kiss from him this time and rising from your seat.
“We should go,” you announced, stretching your hand out for him to grab, which he happily obliged, rising from the bench and escorting you to your classroom.
ϟ ϟ ϟ
A week had passed since Slughorn’s dinner party, the memory of the evening still fresh in Draco’s mind as he tapped his fingers against the wooden desk. Needless to say, he was not particularly pleased with the events of last Saturday. One of Slughorn’s guests had taken quite the liking to you, practically undressing you with his eyes during breakfast hours, something Draco found incredibly disrespectful. He recalled the way Cormac McLaggen eyed you this morning when you bent over to kiss your boyfriend goodbye, skipping out of the Great Hall without a care in the world.
Draco clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white as his eyebrows knitted together, sparks of frustration igniting within him. Not only was McLaggen ogling you like you were his last meal, but he was also casually brushing up beside you in the corridors, shooting Draco arrogant smirks when they locked eyes.
Oh, how he would love to jinx that insufferable look off his face. Yeah, that’ll show him.
He should have been paying attention to Professor Flitwick discussing the proper hand movement for the Gouging Spell, but the thoughts of McLaggen badgering you when he was not around boiled his blood. In hindsight, it was a good thing he was neglecting this lesson because the prospect of gouging a large hole through Cormac seemed very appealing.
You were particularly busy this week and did not have a lot of time to spend with Draco. Sure, the two of you bid your usual goodnights in the Slytherin common room, but your studying had kept you away from Draco. Due to this, Draco Malfoy was left very touch starved and found himself daydreaming of your earlier rendezvous around the castle.
Draco turned his head towards you, his face relaxing at once as he watched you diligently taking notes, as usual. You had your bottom lip between your teeth, gnawing it softly as your quill scratched against the parchment. With a content sigh, he admired your concentration and wondered how a person could be that gorgeous. He was, truly, the luckiest man in the world when it came to you.
He supposed that one could not blame McLaggen for falling for you- I mean, who wouldn’t? Any person would be swept off their feet if you entered the room wearing those silk dresses you were oh so fond of. Draco glanced down at those pretty, pink lips of yours, his eyes practically rolling to the back of his head as you parted them, tongue swiping over your upper lip as you added the final details to your diagram.
Biting his lip, Draco forced his attention towards Professor Flitwick, but it was already too late. The thoughts of you, sprawled across his bed at Malfoy Manor were enough to replace his earlier frustrations with feelings of lust.
“Stop,” thought Draco, closing his eyes to contain his feelings, but it was no use. Your lips made an “O” shape when you finally grasped the Charms concepts, making goosebumps appear on Draco’s skin as he shuddered.
What he would do to have you begging for him right now.
His pants grew considerably tighter and he couldn’t help but feel grateful towards the school uniforms. The robe he was wearing did a decent job at hiding his current problem, but he knew it would be noticeable when he stood. However, that did not stop him from hearing the way you called his name in the back of his head.
“Please, Draco...”
“Fuck,” cursed Draco under his breath, shifting uncomfortably in his seat, a slight touch of pink dusting his cheeks. Unable to keep his eyes away, Draco looked back towards you, scanning the soft skin of your neck, and noting how awfully bare it looked. With his self-restraint wavering, he subtly slid down the bench you shared and rested his hand on your knee, something he did quite often. However, you did not question him until you felt his lips against your neck and a hand wrapped tightly around your thigh. Turning your head to face him, you were surprised to see him with his hand over his mouth, his eyes averted from yours as his fingers danced against the smooth skin of your inner thigh.
“Draco,” you cooed, but the only response you received was a rather harsh nip at your neck, “Draco, someone will see…”
“I don’t care,” Draco snarled against your ear, “I need this bloody class to be over…” He murmured in a much softer tone, his hand rubbing circles against your thigh and inching closer to your clothed heat. But once you turned to scold him, you noticed the dark, red blush that painted his cheeks and felt his hot breath fanning against your face.
“Are you alright?” you asked cautiously, innocently rubbing your thumb against his thigh, but that only made Draco twitch in his seat, and his reaction suddenly lit the bulb over your head. Your lips curled into a smirk as your hand moved closer to the bulge on Draco’s pants, turning your attention towards the front of the class as you continued your movements.
Luckily, the two of you sat at the farthest end of the Charms classroom, away from any overly inquisitive eyes. You were certain nobody would notice, if Draco kept his cool, the two of you would be in the clear.
“Couldn’t even wait till class was over?” You tutted, delicately tracing your fingers over his crotch, and smirking as he shifted in his seat, “Be careful, I don’t want us to get caught.” You added, firmly cupping his erection through his slacks, a wide grin spreading across your face as he doubled down and hid his face behind a book he propped up. It was honestly quite surprising to see Draco this way. Usually, he would be the one teasing you to no end, but you were currently in control and that was enough to light the fire of your arousal.
“D-Don’t stop,” Draco pleaded under his breath, biting down on his thumb to hold back a moan as your palm worked to release the built-up tension. Encouraged by his dick twitching underneath your hand, you quickened your pace and watched as he parted his lips, struggling to keep any sound from coming out. As his breathing grew more ragged, you felt his abdominal muscles tense up against your touch, indicating that his release would wash over him soon.
Fighting to keep the small sense of composure he had left, Draco gripped (Y/N)’s wrist and halted her movements. It took him a minute to catch his breath, but when he did, he spoke in a low whisper, “Wait...” His eyes never met yours because if he looked into those beautiful eyes of yours, he would not be able to control himself. And although the prospect of taking you over the desk seemed quite promising, he did not fancy the idea of letting the rest of the student body see you bent over in such a vulnerable state.
That was only for him, of course.
“What’s wrong, Darling?” You teased letting your fingers trace over his crotch again, but he only clicked his tongue at you. Draco knew you too well, he knew you were only trying to rile him up again, but he could not let that happen, not right now. With adrenaline coursing through your body, you leaned towards Draco and let your breath fan against his neck before licking a stripe behind his ear, “Didn’t want to come all over those expensive slacks of yours, hm?” You murmured, gently nipping his earlobe, and taking his momentary lapse of strength to palm his erection once more.
Draco gritted his teeth once again, pulling your hand away from his pants, “I said wait,” he growled, his lust-clouded eyes finally meeting yours, “You do know how to follow instructions, don’t you?” He asked in a much harsher, more desperate tone.
“Depends on who’s giving them.” You replied sarcastically, placing your free hand on his knee with a smirk.
However, Draco did not get a chance to shoot his response back at you. Once the bell signaling the end of class rang, he shot up off his seat and gathered both your belongings before taking your hand and hastily pulling you out of the classroom. A few students stared as the two of you rushed down the hall, blushing in embarrassment as you stumbled after Draco.
His hand gripped yours tightly, leading you towards the Prefects’ bathroom, and stuttering out the password once the two of you arrived. Flinging your book bags across the floor, Draco turned and stalked towards you making you step back until your back hit something solid.
“Think you’re funny, are you?” sneered Draco, pinning you against one of the cubicles, his thigh pressed firmly between your legs and his right forearm braced beside your head. Replicating your earlier movements, Draco dragged his tongue underneath your ear before taking the lobe between his teeth, making you gasp. “Why don’t we put that filthy mouth of yours to better use?” He cooed, blowing a puff of air against your ear, and admiring it as it turned red.
With a sudden burst of confidence, you gripped his robes and pulled his face towards yours, breaths mingling together, “I think,” You muttered, leaning your lips close to his, “That’s the best idea you’ve had all day…” Looking up at his half-lidded eyes, you crashed your lips against Draco’s, fingers immediately tangling themselves in his hair. Draco returned your kiss eagerly, his hands cupping your arse underneath your skirt and pulling your body flush against his.
You could feel Draco growing more impatient by the minute. His hands were grabbing desperately at your skin, squeezing every inch of bare flesh he could feel. Longing to have you closer to him, Draco slipped his hand underneath your thigh and hooked it over his hip, fingers gripping hard enough to bruise. Your back arched off the wall, hips grinding against Draco’s as your tongues laced together in a heated kiss. Tugging at your tie, Draco reached to unbutton your blouse and pulled it open, exposing your bra-clad breasts.
He pressed his lips against the base of your neck, biting and sucking encouraged by your moans beside his ear. One of his hands held your thigh firmly while the other kneaded your left breast, pulling the fabric of your bra down and taking your nipple between his thumb and forefinger. You gasped harshly, bucking into him, and digging your fingers into his hair, messing up the parts that remained previously neat. Draco rolled his erection against your soaked panties, smiling down at your face as his hands kneaded your clothed breasts, “So pretty,” he murmured, captivated by your flushed face and the shameful sounds passing through your lips.
Your hands reached up to grab his face, pulling him down for another kiss. This time, using the momentum to switch your positions so Draco’s back hit the stall door, earning a small moan of surprise from him. Grinning up at him, you pressed your lips against his neck and slid your hand down the front of his body, cupping him firmly as you sucked the sensitive skin.
Draco let out gasping breaths as you moved your hand, his fingers digging into your waist, “On your knees,” commanded Draco, trying to regain some sort of control over the situation. You obliged happily, dropping down to your knees and lazily running your fingers over his thighs before reaching up for his belt. After fiddling with the buckle, you took your time sliding Draco’s slacks down, purposely neglecting his throbbing dick hidden in his underwear.
“Don’t be a tease,” snapped Draco, gripping your chin harshly, “Suck,” He commanded firmly, releasing you as you pulled down his boxer briefs. Draco’s thick length snapped up towards his lower abs, almost slapping you in the face when it sprung out of its constraints. Almost drooling at the glorious sight of his cock, you took it in your hand, running your thumb over the pre-cum leaking out of the reddened tip. Draco bucked his hips forwards, hissing at the light touch, and looking down at your concentrated expression as you slowly pumped your hand.
Lolling your tongue out dramatically, you leaned forwards and gave the tip a kitten lick, earning a frustrated groan from Draco. Satisfied with his discomfort, you gave the swollen tip another kiss before taking his length fully into your mouth. He let out a strangled gasp in response, his eyes squeezed shut as you enthusiastically licked up his length. Sealing off your lips, much like a vacuum seal, you bobbed your head up and down his shaft, tongue swirling around it as Draco trembled underneath you, his hand over his mouth attempting to stifle the sounds coming out of it.
Draco looked down at you, unable to control the string of low moans and grunts spewing from his lips. The sight of your plump lips stretching around his cock made him lose the few ounces of coherent thoughts he had left in his mind. Draco let out another strangled moan, throwing his head back against the stall door as you swirl your tongue around his shaft and use your hand to pump the base of his cock. His hand flew to the back of your head when you moved to take all of him in your mouth, your nose brushing the trimmed tufts of hair as you choked around him, the contraction of your throat making him groan out your name.
With another husky moan, Draco balled your hair up into a ponytail and used it as leverage to thrust into your mouth. “Yes, yes,” whimpered Draco, his face flushed red and his breath caught in his throat, “Just like that, (Y/N)” he hissed, his grey eyes flickering down and meeting yours, making his roll back again as he pulled his lip between his teeth. Your fingernails dug into the back of his thighs, squeezing them tighter as he quickened his pace. You moaned around his dick, the vibrations sending a violent quake through his body as he face-fucked you, his climax only moments away.
“Ah, you take my cock so well, Princess” groaned Draco, his pace stuttering, “You’re so bloody gorgeous” He sighed, his fingers delving tightly into your hair as you continued to swirl your tongue around the shaft, relaxing your jaw to let the tip of his penis hit the back of your throat.
The sounds coming from Draco’s mouth had you soaking wet and yearning to feel his load shoot down your throat. Determined to finish him off, you moved your hand to fondle his balls, moaning with satisfaction as his cock pulsated in your mouth. His breaths grew ragged and the only sounds coming from him were small whimpers and grunts. You looked up at him through your eyelashes, his platinum blonde hair fell messily over his eyes, which were currently screwed shut as his face twisted with pleasure.
Draco’s eyes fluttered open, meeting your eager ones for a second time, but it was too much. Cursing loudly, Draco’s pace grew sloppier and rougher, his body trembling as you fondled his balls once again.
“(Y/N)!” He cried out as you gagged around him, thick ropes of cum coating the inside of your mouth as he came, hard. You struggled to swallow his heavy load, but you were adamant on taking every last drop, just how he liked it. Draco gasped as he caught his breath, his hand still in your hair as he gave your mouth two final shallow thrusts, pulling out as you licked him clean.
With his chest heaving, Draco delicately placed his hand against your cheek and slid his thumb over your swollen lips. You press a chaste kiss against the pad of his thumb, the corners of your mouth curling up into a loving smile. He brought you back up to your feet, capturing your lips in a kiss that was all tongue before pulling away with a satisfied smile on his face.
“You’re quite chipper now, aren’t you?” You teased, hitting him playfully on the shoulder as he pulled his slacks up, tucking his shirt back into his pants and shooting you a wink.
“Yes, actually,” He retorted, his usual smirk appearing on his lips, “And why is that?” You asked, taking the time to button your own shirt, blushing as Draco stalked towards you. He placed his hand on the side of your neck, pulling down your collar to admire the angry, red marks that decorated it.
With a small huff, he dipped down and sucked on the spot below your jaw, your knees buckling and hands gripping his shoulders as he bit down. Once he was satisfied with his handiwork, Draco pulled away, smirking at the mark that would surely be visible for days.
“Because I’m the only one who gets to have you like this,” admitted Draco, pulling you into a hug and resting his chin atop your head, “Can’t wait until I catch McLoser drooling over you, I’ll make sure to remind him who he’s dealing with.”
You laughed at Draco’s declaration, your arms tightening around him as you embraced, “Are you ready for lunch then? He could already be there” You teased, pressing a kiss against his nose, and pulling away to pick up your bag from the bathroom floor. Draco chuckled as you skipped back towards him, giving your behind a playful smack as you walked past him, “Don’t run off thinking I won’t return the favor,” stated Draco salaciously, catching your hand and pulling you back before you could exit the bathroom.
You looked up at him with a curious expression, “Is that so?” You questioned with a grin, walking towards him, and placing your hand on his chest, “Is it something I should look forward to?” You asked, tilting your head to the side innocently.
Draco laughed, raising his hand to cup your cheek, “Come to my room tonight at eleven, wearing that pretty little dress from Twilfitt and Tattings,” muttered Draco, his lips close to yours once again, “I’ll make it worth your while,” he winked, his fingers dipping underneath your skirt to swipe over your clothed core.
Shivering under his touch, you blushed embarrassingly as he examined the slick now coating his finger, “All for me, Princess?” He teased, contently licking his finger clean and grabbing his own book bag, “Actually, I was thinking about McLaggen” you quipped, stepping out of the Prefect’s bathroom with a bounce in your step which Draco followed after, his eyebrows furrowed as he flanked you.
“Careful, Love” warned Draco with a hum, his hand sliding into yours as you walked, “or I’ll have to teach that naughty mouth of yours another lesson.”
ϟ ϟ ϟ
Your four-year anniversary drew nearer, and you found yourself worried about Draco’s behavior yet again. He grew increasingly distant as the term progressed and you could not help but worry, despite his constant reassurances, stating there was nothing to worry about. This, again, left you feeling frustrated. You and Draco started dating during your third year and it had taken a while to break down his walls to understand him, but now it seemed like some of that progress was overturned.
However, when he was around, he always made the effort to shower you with affection and ensure you were being taken care of. Draco knew your habits better than anything, he knew you would be questioning his behavior and launching your own investigations to find the underlying cause of it, but he could not let you interfere. He was already under fire for having ‘distractions’ and had promised the Dark Lord nothing would come in the way of his success.
To keep you safe, you had to be left in the dark. It wounded Draco to see that distraught expression on your face when he came into the common room past midnight, sometimes even asleep, curled up on the couch waiting for him to return. He felt guilty for putting you through all this, but it was necessary for your safety and nothing was more important than protecting you.
His nights were constantly haunted by horrifying images of you injured or worse, dead in his arms after some terrible mistake he made. These thoughts were constantly wearing him down, but he could not tell you, it was just too risky to involve you in this situation. This stressful internal struggle encouraged Draco to show you how much you meant to him.
He wanted you to know that you were, truly, the most important person in his life.
“Draco,” You whined with your hands over your eyes as Draco led you through the empty streets of Hogsmeade, “Can’t I just open my eyes? I’ve been to Hogsmeade plenty of times” you reminded him, but he only chuckled beside you, holding you by the waist as you walked.
“I’m trying to surprise you,” Draco stated, rolling his eyes, “So why don’t you stop complaining and follow me.” He declared, pressing a kiss against your cheek, and leading you towards the clothing shops in the village. Draco halted in front of a large store window, looking up at the dress and envisioning you in them with a proud grin.
“Alright,” he started, grabbing the hands that covered your face, “Ready?” He murmured, pressing a kiss against her fingertips as you nodded. Counting to three, Draco pulled your hands away from your face and stepped out of your view, letting you take in the sight before you.
In front of you stood a tall mannequin wearing a floor-length shimmering, emerald green gown with small silver detailing the bust, “Wow” you muttered breathlessly, leaning closer to the window to get a better look of the design. The mannequin turned 180 degrees, giving her a better view of the open back and long train that followed the dress.
“Do you like it?” Draco asked, looking down at his ring with a content smile on his face.
Your eyes scanned over the glittering, diamond pendant necklace complete with matching water drop earrings, “It’s gorgeous,” you replied, looking over at your boyfriend with a puzzled expression, “Why do I get the feeling you’re up to something?” You asked, quirking your eyebrow at him as he laughed.
“You know me well, Darling” Draco admitted sheepishly, leading you towards the door of the stop and holding it open, “I just thought, since you’ve been attending Slughorn’s dinner parties, that you would need some more evening outfits to show off,” He stated proudly, his hand against the small of your back as he gestured you towards the changing rooms.
“Draco, I couldn’t possibly! You bought me one at the start of term!” You protested, grabbing his hands but part of you knew his mind was already made up.
“You’re right,” He agreed with a nod, placing his hand against your cheek, “And I’m going to buy you four more today,” He stated nonchalantly, looking back at the four sets of the dresses brought over by the shopkeeper, “You better get started,” he urged, taking a seat on the ottoman in front of the dressing room.
With a loving smile, you captured Draco’s lips in a kiss, “I love you” You said, squeezing his hand as he returned your smile.
“And I love you most,” He replied, pressing a kiss against your forehead, and urging towards the dressing room, “Come on, I want to see how stunning you look in those.” Giggling, you ran into the changing room, winking back at Draco before sliding the curtain close and getting into the first dress.
Several hours later, you and Draco exited the shop with four bags containing various dresses, jewelry pieces, and, even, a brand-new suit. After one final stop at Honeydukes, the two of you made your way towards the castle, treasuring the time you spent together and the memories you created while doing so.

Elorcan smut after so much y e a r n i n g!!
🥺 please?
Lorcan remembered the exact moment he first saw Elide Lochan.
He’d been on his way to his last class of the day, senior year exhaustion weighing heavily on his shoulders, and had looked up from his phone to see her standing at the other end of the hall, talking animatedly to a professor.
She’d been wearing dark slacks and a pale, soft looking sweater that contrasted against the silky black hair hanging down her back. He could tell that even with the heels, she wouldn’t even reach his shoulders, and not a small part of him enjoyed how small she was in comparison to him, even though it also made him feel like a hulking brute.
The same part of him took one look at her and said Yes.
He’d made his way over, planning to totally interrupt her conversation and ask her out, and she’d looked up as she saw him coming, wide brown eyes meeting his.
A rush of heat went through him as she’d tilted her head and took him in from his too-long hair all the way down to the dusty boots he’d never cared to clean.
And then she’d done something that’d been a prominent player in his dreams ever since: she bit her lip.
That goddamn beautiful, blush pink lip that doubled as the most tantalizing thing he’d ever seen.
His imagination had immediately run wild.
He’d wanted to draw that lip into his mouth, nibble on it and soothe the ache with his tongue. Wanted to taste them both as he pushed into her. Wanted to see them wrapped around his cock as she looked up at him with those big, beautiful eyes.
And that was just her lips.
The rest of her was almost too much for him, even in his fantasies.
Full hips; slim thighs that would feel too good parting for him; heavy breasts he wanted to taste.
She was a fucking wet dream. He’d never been so attracted to a woman, much less one he’d never met.
As he’d drawn closer and closer, she’d bid farewell to the professor and turned to him with a wide smile that made him almost trip over his own fucking feet.
And then she’d asked: “English 135?”
His sex-foggy train of thought had come screeching to a halt, and he’d raised a brow. “What?”
She’d nodded toward the classroom they were standing outside of. “English 135. Creative writing. Are you in this class?”
It’d taken him an embarrassing amount of time to realize she was a TA.
And an even more embarrassing amount of time to realize the fact that she was his TA.
Because he was, in fact, enrolled in creative writing.
He’d chosen the class at random since it fulfilled his last general education requirement, and he’d been dreading it all week, but now... now it didn’t seem so bad.
Especially as she looked up at him, the heat in his eyes reflected in her own, and said softly, “Welcome to class.”
E~
Elide felt like one of those tight rope walkers--doing something dangerous that might have disastrous consequences but unable to stop because she loved the thrill.
She knew entertaining thoughts of one of her students was stupid, but from the moment she’d met him, she hadn’t been able to help it.
Like her thoughts had summoned him, he strolled into the room, and she let her eyes graze over him, finding him just as distracting as they had yesterday and the day before and every other day so far this semester.
Tall and broad-shouldered, with hair like a midnight sky and eyes just as dark. He was like nothing she’d ever seen.
For the past two months, she’d been unable to stop herself from imagining how it’d feel to have him on top of her, pressing her down with his heavy weight. How he might say her name in the morning and how he looked when he came.
Thoughts that were nothing but a bad idea, since she was his student.
“Good morning, Mr. Salvaterre,” she said politely, trying to keep her voice from going husky.
He looked at her like he knew what she was doing, which he probably did. He wasn’t exactly subtle when it came to watching her day in and day out.
His dark eyes followed her when she paced in front of the class, tracked down her body whenever he came in the room, and burned with desire whenever they met her own.
He also always came in a few minutes early to talk to her before other people arrived, like he had right now.
A corner of his lips pulled up as he replied, “Morning, Elide.”
She almost sighed. Unlike the other students, he never called her Ms. Lochan. And he never smiled.
His lips would tilt up in a smirk, and occasionally he’d go so far as to look mildly amused, but he never gave her actually smiled. Which was probably a good thing, because she didn’t know if she was strong enough to resist Lorcan in general, let alone a smiling Lorcan.
“Do you have your paper?”
They had a story due today. The prompt was to write a chapter of a romance novel--not her idea. The plot, setting, and everything else was up to them.
Elide was looking forward to reading his more than she’d ever admit, but she remained calm as he handed over a thick stack of papers.
Calm or not, she was unable to stop herself from flipping it open and scanning a few lines.
Every thought inside her head came to a halt.
“This is...” She looked up to find him raising a brow and waiting for her to finish. “This is a sex scene.”
"Mmhm,” he confirmed, the amusement and hunger in his eyes clear to see.
A blush fought to work it’s way up her face as she saw the main character’s name was Elise. One letter away from Elide. Coincidence?
Then she saw that male lead’s name was Lorance.
Definitely not a coincidence.
They’d been subtly flirting for as long as the class had been going on, but nothing so bold as to write a sex scene about them.
She read a little more and almost passed out. It was a sex scene in a classroom.
“Feel free to make corrections or suggestions,” he murmured, for all intents and purposes sounding like he was actually talking about the assignment.
Elide cleared her throat, trying to unscramble her brain.
“Mr. Salvaterre, the prompt was to write about romance.”
Lorcan smirked and flipped the paper open to a certain page. “What’s more romantic than that?”
On their own accord, her eyes dropped to scan the page, finding an explicitly detailed scene of “Lorance” bending “Elise” over the desk and pulling her panties down with his teeth.
Elide looked up at the ceiling, taking a deep breath and fighting the urge to press her thighs together.
“This is inappropriate.”
“How so?”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m your professor.”
He braced a hip against her desk and pointed out, “You’re my TA. And only for another month.”
“Yes, but... I could get in trouble. Nothing in here,” she shook the papers, “is allowed between PhD candidates and college students.”
“I get it, Elide.” He shrugged. “I’ve wanted you since the moment I saw you. I can wait another four weeks.”
When he said it like that, it sounded like forever. But she nodded, appreciating his patients.
“Thank y-”
“But you know, I think I’ll continue with this story. Just something to, you know... pass the time with.”
“What?” she choked out.
He explained slowly, “I’m going to keep writing.”
And then, faster than should be possible for such a big person, he was right in front of her, mouth dipped to her ear as he whispered, “And in four weeks, you get to pick one.”
He pulled away right as students started walking through the door, leaving her flustered and shaking and completely screwed.
~
Every class for the next month, Lorcan brought her a new chapter.
They were the filthiest, most erotic things she’d ever read.
She was addicted to them.
His imagination seemed to know no bounds when it came to her, and it made her shiver just to think about what else he might come up with.
He never said a word, just came in and put the papers on her desk, then went and sat and proceeded to eye-fuck her until the class was up.
On the last day of class, he gave her both a new chapter and his final paper for the course. She was woman enough to admit she only cared about one.
“Wait to read this one till after class,” he said quietly before sliding in his seat at the back of the room.
She pursed her lips, wondering why, but acquiesced and didn’t read it during the twenty minute reading time at the beginning of the class. It was burning a hole through her desk, but she ignored it the entire sixty minutes.
After she released everyone and bid them a happy summer, she watched as Lorcan got up, winked, and walked out of the class without a care in the world.
Um... what?
He wasn’t going to talk to her? Seriously? After two months of-
The chapter.
She flipped it open, immediately finding the reason for his casualty.
While the others were all written in the past tense, this one was present. And it used her real name.
And the first line was: Elide left the classroom, anticipation making her skin tingle, and walked to the parking lot.
Huge smile on her face and skin indeed tingling with anticipation, she made her way to the parking lot, then turned the page and read, She drove to Lorcan’s apartment.
His apartment? She’d never even been on a date with him. Not that that really mattered to her at the moment.
Was she seriously doing this?
Her eyes drifted to the next line to see his address, and she decided yes, yes she was.
Traffic seemed to go on forever as she drove the ten minutes to his apartment, and by the time she knocked on the door, she was too excited to stand still.
She knocked on the door, then knocked again when there was no answer.
Brow furrowed, she looked back to the chapter, flipped the page, and saw: She used the key under the mat to let herself in, then went to his bedroom in the back.
Hands shaking, she bent to grab the key, then let herself into her Lorcan’s apartment like she did it all the time.
An empty, clean, almost-barren apartment greeted her, and after taking an intrusive look around, she walked down the hallway to his room.
Thin drapes were closed over the window, filling the space with soft, hazy light, and she instinctively walked to the bed to run her fingers over the silky sheets. It smelled like him in here, like smoke and rain and something just Lorcan.
Inhaling deeply, she looked back at the paper in her hands.
Knowing he’d be there soon, Elide took off her clothes, got on his bed, and waited.
Her mouth dropped open as she read that line again and again. It was the last page, so she had nothing else to tell her what was going to happen.
Was he serious?
Was she seriously going to do it?
Her body made the decision before her mind did.
She kicked her shoes off and let her hair down from her ponytail before she could think better of it.
“Crazy man,” she murmured, even as she pulled her dress over her head and threw it on the floor. Her bra and panties followed, and then she was standing there in a man’s room while he wasn’t even home.
God, what if this was some elaborate prank? What if this wasn’t even his apartment?
The realistic part of her brain told her how crazy that sounded, which relaxed her a little.
She eyed the bed, not sure if she should get on it or just stand here. It felt strange to be naked in the first place, even stranger to be in his bed without him.
But it also felt exciting.
She’d wanted him for such a long time, and now that she was minutes away from actually having him, she felt like she was going to combust.
This was another way, she realized, of heightening the anticipation between them. Elide had made him wait for three months, so he was giving her a taste of her own medicine.
She crawled on the bed without another thought, relaxing on his pillows and trying to calm down.
Then the question became... how long was he going to make her wait?
Twenty minutes later, she had her answer.
She heard the lock on the door click open, and God above, just the sound of his boots coming down the hall made her breath come quicker. He got closer and closer, and then there he was.
Lorcan leaned against the door frame, looked her over from head to toe, and for the first time since they’d met, gave her a full smile.
She found herself smiling back, unable to help it. She was right; smiling Lorcan was undeniably her favorite.
He didn’t say a word as he prowled closer and braced his hands on the bed near her feet. He didn’t have to; his eyes told her exactly what he was thinking.
They roamed over every inch of exposed skin, lingering on the sweep of her hips, the apex of her thighs, the quick rise and fall of her chest.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve imagined this moment,” he rasped, leaning to press a featherlight kiss to the inside of her ankle. “You’re so fucking beautiful.”
He pulled back and continued to look at her like he was content to do exactly that for the rest of his life. She needed him to touch her, needed him to put that still-smiling mouth on hers.
“Lorcan,” she breathed, squirming under his dark gaze. She pulled her lip between her teeth to keep from throwing pride to the wind and just begging him for what she wanted.
Turns out, she didn’t need to beg. As soon as she bit her lip, he was on her, heavy weight pressing her down in the way she’d imagined he would for months, mouth covering hers, hands cupping her face like she was something precious.
He stole her lip from her, sucking it into his mouth and groaning.
Like a thread with too much tension, they snapped, hands and mouths starting frenzied as they both tried to kiss the other harder, deeper.
His hand slipped between her thighs, and he pulled back far enough to press his forehead to hers and mutter, “Shit.”
Then he was kissing her neck, sucking down at the same time he pushed two fingers inside of her. His name fell off her lips, sounding desperate to her own ears.
He ignored her plea, kissing a path down to her breasts. He swirled his tongue around the peak of one and used his free hand to pinch the other, making her cry out.
“These breasts,” he growled, sounding a little angry.
She didn’t know if she should apologize or shove them further in his face.
He switched to the other, choosing option number two for her. His teeth scraped against her nipple at the same time he pushed his fingers into her a little harder, and it felt so good her legs shook.
Then he was moving, going further down until his face was pressed between her thighs.
He pushed her thighs back, and she blushed at being so exposed while he hadn’t shred a stitch of clothing. But then he pulled his fingers out, licked them clean, and said, “You taste like strawberries,” giving her a whole other reason to blush.
Lorcan calmly slid down to his stomach and got comfortable, then proceeded to eat like he’d been locked in a room with no food for two weeks.
His tongue was everywhere, licking her from top to bottom, circling her clit, pushing inside her. He hummed, and she arched off the bed, pushing her hips further toward him.
She wanted this to last forever, but her body was reacting to him like it never had to anyone, and she felt herself getting closer and closer to the edge.
He added his fingers back at the same time he sucked her clit sharply, and she fell to pieces, twitching and pulsing around him and breathing like she’d done something besides lay there.
She yanked him up the bed, needing to feel him against her. She slid her hands in his hair and licked his lower lip, smiling when he made a gruff sound.
Elide slipped her hands under his shirt and pulled it off, then started working on his belt, only to have her hands knocked out of the way by his. He unceremoniously ripped his clothes off, then rolled on his back to reach for a dresser drawer.
While he dealt with that, she perused him head to toe like he’d done her.
His body was lean and cut, tan and beautiful.
Crawling next to him, she ran her lips over his chest, down his abs. When she attempted to go lower, he stopped her with a hand in her hair.
“But I want to-”
“Later,” was all he said before throwing her on her back, rolling the condom on in an oddly primitive manner, and thrusting inside of her.
She gasped, feeling so full she might split apart, and clung to him as he let her adjust.
When she felt like she could breathe again, she wrapped her legs around her waist and tilted her ups up, taking him even deeper. He made a deep sound of approval, eyes dropping to half mast.
Lorcan braced himself on his elbows, gave her a very male look, and said, “Hold on tight.”
Then he started to move, pulling out all the way before thrusting back in so hard she shook.
It was like the past months of lust and heated glances were coming back all at once, reminding her how long she’d gone without him.
She’d imagined what he’d be like more times than she could count, but the reality was somehow better.
Her nails dug into his shoulders as he pounded into her, probably hurting him, but he didn’t seem to mind.
Their mouths met in a messy, wet glide, and he bit her bottom lip, anchoring himself by it as he fucked her even harder.
“Elide,” he groaned, deep voice desperate and scratchy. “Come on, baby.”
The knowledge that this was undoing him as much as it was her was what pushed her over the edge again. She moaned his name as she came, eyes going shut and body arching up into him.
He followed immediately, stilling on top of her and fisting the sheet hard enough she worried it would tear.
When she came back down to earth and released his shoulders, she saw she’d left little half-moon marks on him, and she leaned up to ease the hurt with her lips.
After a moment, he rolled off of her and collapsed on the other side of the bed with a huff.
They both stared at the ceiling, unable to find words for a long moment.
Until Lorcan stated, “Wow.”
“Yeah,” she agreed, body still tingling. “Was it worth the wait?”
He shrugged, and her heart constricted painfully in her chest until he said, “Might need another go before I say for sure.”
Elide shoved his shoulder, turning on her side to look at him.
“What now?” he asked, rolling to face her. “I do actually plan to take you on a date, you know. Dinner?”
A part of her was relieved to hear this wasn’t just sex to him, but there was something else she wanted at the moment.
“Chapter 3?” she suggested instead.
Lorcan gave her a wolf’s smile. “I like the way you think.”

by: mldrgrl Rating: PG Summary: A Hanella Twitter prompt, of sorts. Hank introducing Stella as his wife. https://twitter.com/hole4gillian/status/1411255101990203392?s=21
The whole Zoom appearance thing was getting to be old hat, so when Hank was asked to appear live and in person at the reopening of an independent book store he frequented, he jumped at the opportunity. He missed reading to people that actually existed and weren’t just little boxes on a screen. He missed that instant feedback and energy that only a live audience could provide. He missed being the center of attention.
The appearance was on a Tuesday evening. He asked Stella to go, but she had a late class that night. He asked Becca to come, but Ziggy had a puppy training session. He wasn’t terribly disappointed. It was a rare occurrence to have any of his family at an event and he was fine with it.
Hank was greeted by the owner and manager of Read This, a man named Philip, who he considered to be a step above an acquaintance, but not quite a friend. They had a relationship built upon reciprocity. Hank was a regular customer, even name dropped the store a few times in interviews to give it a boost, and Philip always stocked his books and made sure signed copies were on display.
The event space in the store was just a small stage at the back, barely large enough to fit two chairs comfortably, and an assortment of mismatched folding chairs scattered in front of it. The bookstacks were at angles, pointed towards the stage in a vee formation like an arrow down the aisle. Hank had done a few signings there in the past and they always felt more like intimate gatherings than events.
Philip kicked off the appearance with a short speech thanking everyone for coming out and for supporting the store over the years. He kept it short and simple and then gave Hank the floor to a round of applause. Hank stepped up onto the stage and gave Philip a quick hug before he sat down. All the seats out in the audience were full - all fifteen or twenty of them. He took a passing glance at the crowd as he unfolded the pages he’d brought with him that had been tucked into his back pocket.
“Any of you motherfuckers blog about this later and call me an old man for what I’m about to do, fuck you in advance,” he said, taking out the reading glasses he had hooked to the collar of his shirt that had recently become a necessity.
Everyone laughed. Someone woo-hooed from the audience and Hank dropped his chin to look over the rim of his glasses.
“Philip said I could read whatever the hell I wanted,” Hank said. “So I’m going to read an excerpt from a new novel I’ve got coming out in a few months called Alone Together. A couple things you should know going in, the novel follows the story of Miranda and Scott, a married couple who are on the verge of calling it quits after fifteen years when the pandemic hits and forces them hunker down together when they’d really rather be anywhere else. This bit I’m about to read is about half-way in, when Scott is starting to reflect on what exactly went wrong and when.”
Hank paused to smooth his pages again. When he looked up, he straightened his shoulders in surprise. He saw Stella, leaning against one of the bookstacks with a mild smile on her face. She was in her work clothes, a white silk blouse and fawn colored pencil skirt and tan heels. She had a tan blazer over her arm and her briefcase in hand as well. He took a subtle glance at his watch as he adjusted his pages. Her night class should have only started a half an hour ago.
“Uh,” Hank started and then hid a grin behind his fist as he cleared his throat. “Scott watched his wife at her computer from across the room. She had her headset on and she was laughing. He couldn’t actually remember the last time he’d heard her laugh. It occurred to him that he’d forgotten what it sounded like.”
It took about fifteen minutes for Hank to read the full excerpt. He was momentarily distracted when he saw Becca walking down the aisle. She went straight to Stella, gave her a hug, and then turned towards the stage with Stella’s arm across her shoulders. The surprise of having both his wife and daughter there for him almost made him cry.
When he finished, the audience clapped, and Philip came back onto the stage to moderate audience questions. All the questions were the same variations of questions he had been asked his entire career. He could answer them in his sleep. While he was droning on about his routine and writing habits, he saw Becca tip her head back, whisper something in Stella’s ear, and then duck out from under her arm and walk away. He hoped she wasn’t leaving without saying goodbye.
“Gentleman in the green shirt,” Philip said.
“You said earlier that you were inspired by the pandemic, so I have to ask, how much is fiction and how much is reality?”
“Are you asking me if I based it off my own life?” Hank asked. “Well, first of all, I want to make a broad statement about writing in general. That whole ‘write what you know’ garbage that people, mainly professors, let’s be honest, try to instill into you, is bullshit. Do you think Bram Stoker was a vampire? Do you think Thoms Harris was a cannibal? And believe me, I’m not saying that writers don’t cull from their real life when they’re putting words to paper, but there always seems to be this assumption that if you’re writing a modern story, set in a modern world, that somehow that must be your life and your voice.
“Unlike Scott, I am happily married to the most beautiful, intelligent, way out of my league woman and I would never forget, not even for a hot second, that I am the luckiest bastard alive. We started off the pandemic in very close quarters and when I was trying to think about what I might be interested in writing next, it occurred to me that I could very well be in a miserable position if my life was different. But, it’s not my life that I was imagining when I finally sat down to write. It was two people who were at odds with each other and how would they respond to this?
“I’ll say this, though, and then I’ll get off my high horse on the subject. There is one thing in the story that I gave to Scott that belongs to me. I even read from that passage tonight, and I’ll read it again.”
Hank put his glasses back on and flipped through his pages until he found the paragraph he wanted. He glanced up and out to where Stella was before he re-read the lines.
“He could recall in stunning detail the moment he knew he was in love with her. It wasn’t a romantic moment. They weren’t out on a date. It wasn’t during or after sex, when he was naturally euphoric. It was on a hot summer morning in August when the air conditioner had gone out overnight and they’d both slept poorly and were pissed off at the world. He watched her angrily brushing her teeth with her pink cheeks and dark circles under her eyes and in his exhaustion and anger he wished for a moment that she wasn’t there, but then he had a flash of his life without her and suddenly he felt a swelling in his chest that stole his breath. He never wanted to envision a life without her again, not for a minute.”
Hank stared at the page for a few beats before he finally took off his glasses again and looked up. He first looked for the man that had asked the question and then he turned his gaze to Stella.
“The fictional situation was different,” he said. “But, the feeling was the same.”
Stella gave him a subtle smile and her lips puckered very briefly. His own lips twitched in response and he finally cut his eyes away. He took a few more questions and then Philip thanked him for his time and invited anyone that wanted to stay to have a book signed to wait for a few minutes as they set up the table.
As people began to talk amongst themselves, Hank left the stage to go to Stella. She was chatting with Becca, who had returned with two cups of coffee from the cafe next door.
“Hey,” Hank said, sliding his arm around Stella’s waist and squeezing her hip.
Stella put a hand on Hank’s face and her thumb briefly circled his mouth. She didn’t say anything, but her eyes held his in a warm gaze. She tilted her chin up at him and he leaned down and kissed her cheek.
“Daughter,” he said, turning to Becca while still holding onto Stella. He put his hand on the top of her head and kissed the part in her hair.
“Father.”
“I’m glad you came.”
“We thought we would take you to dinner,” Stella said. “When you’re finished.”
“I would love that.”
Philip came up from behind Hank and said his name. “We’re ready for you,” Philip said.
“Philip, this is my wife, Stella Gibson. And my daughter, Rebecca Moody.”
“Lovely to meet you,” Philip said to Stella and then nodded to Becca. “We sold out of the hardcover of your last book. Please, let me know if you’d ever like to do a signing.”
“Sure,” Becca said.
“You’d have to put twice as many chairs out,” Hank said. He could tell Becca wanted to roll her eyes at him so bad.
“Go do your thing,” Stella said, putting her hand over Hank’s on her hip. She rubbed her thumb over his and he captured it and pinned it down for a moment. He nodded and then kissed her cheek again.
“Love you,” he whispered into her ear.
“I see what you mean,” Philip said, walking Hank back to the stage where a folding table was set up. “She is out of your league.”
“Right?” Hank said with a laugh. “And she married me. Unfuckingbelievable.”

Chapter 2
Warnings : Swearing, some angst.
Enjoy this gif, because I think it’s so funny🤣🤣 this chapter is a bit shorter because I had an idea and added in A WHOLE EXTRA CHAPTER for y’all. Stay tuned! You can expect updates to the Nolan story possibly tonight or tomorrow and Matty T Wednesday or Thursday💕
Class picked up in mid October, and she saw less of Joel than she was used to. The hand holding thing was seemingly forgotten and they returned to how things were before, but it still floated into Libby’s mind more than it should have. She pushed it down as far as she could but it became downright impossible to ignore some days. And she had no idea why.
If she was being honest with herself, and only herself, she supposed she had always harbored feelings for Joel beyond friendship. She could pinpoint it to the summer before Sophomore year of high school. She walked outside to get the mail and found Joel shirtless playing football in his front yard with Max, a friend who lived three streets over from them. She had seen Joel shirtless before but never really looked at him. Her face turned red, she tripped over the sprinkler and cracked the bone in her elbow. Joel never let her live it down thinking she was looking at Max. Determined to keep her secret a secret she laughed it off and never spoke about it again. She had come clean to Heather about the hand holding and played it off as no big deal.
“ It’s obviously a big deal”
Heather insisted as she painted Libby’s toenails. It was just them in the apartment, Jenna was staying with her boyfriend for the night and Sarah and Ashley had gone to a party and wouldn’t be back till tomorrow.
“He didn’t seem to think so.” She said casually. Libby considered herself to be pretty intelligent, and she had never gotten a single inkling that Joel felt any way about her whatsoever. Which obviously meant that they were friends and nothing more.
“Well he’s an idiot so-“
“If it was a big deal we wouldn’t be having this conversation would we?”
Heather rolled her eyes “ Libby if you can sit there and honestly tell me there is NOTHING between you and Joel I’ll drop this.”
“Heather there is NOTHING between me and Joel.”
Heather stared at her “ I don’t believe you.”
Libby snorted and shook her head as Heather began painting her toe nails again.
“ I just think that your both in denial. I mean have you ever seen the way the guy stares at you? I don’t think that hand holding had anything to do with Kelly Jenner, I think she was just there at the right place and right time.”
“Yeah and that’s how rumors get started.”
After that day a lot more people started asking questions regarding her and Joel and she wondered if that was the reason she started seeing him less. It was true, they both had a lot going on but each time they were together she felt eyes on them and it was downright uncomfortable.
Jake, who had been trying to get Heather to go out with him for weeks sat with Libby during History 1 and kept her in the loop about how Joel was doing, and how things were with the team.
“He misses you.” Jake said while they waited for professor Roberts to arrive one morning.
“Sure he does.”
“He does!”
“He said that?”
“He didn’t have to. It’s all over his face every time someone brings you up.”
“If Joel misses me that much then he has my phone number and he can call me.”
“He’s probably afraid he’ll try to hold your hand again.”
Libby froze, glasses halfway to her face as he eyes swiveled to Jake who was grinning, mischief all over his face.
“He told you about that?”
Jake shrugged “ Yes and no. I heard about it from someone else and then when I brought it up he had like a nerdgasm about it and punched me in the shoulder. Guys got it bad.”
“Oh please-“
“Libby get a fucking grip okay? Remember when I asked you out that one time? I thought he was going to strangle me with his bare hands. I mean why else would someone say no to a date with me unless she had feelings for someone else.” He was giving her the side eye while he chewed on the end of his pen.
Libby felt her face get red “I can think of a few reasons.” She mumbled before she cleared her throat “ Look it wasn’t a big deal.”
“It sounds like a big deal to me.”
“Speaking of big deals, how goes the plan to get Heather to let you take her out.”
“Unsuccessful and you know this and we’re talking about you not me.”
He leaned forward into her space “ Look I love you guys, you know this yeah? I think you need to talk about this and figure your shit out. You guys like love eachother and shit. Isn’t that what’s important.”
“Thanks for the words of Wisdom Shakespeare.”
“Your welcome.”
*******
Libby went to as many games as she could with her schedule mostly accompanied by Heather but sometimes by the rest of their roommates and friends as well. Joel knew she was there, and whether or not that had to do with his heightened ice performance this season he wasn’t sure but he spent more and more time in the gym than he ever had before.
No matter how hard she tried to push the hand holding incident from her mind she couldn’t stop thinking about it and about what Jake had told her. It got worse each time she saw Joel. It got most out of hand during lunch, when someone made a passing comment about Joel going on a date with a girl in his Math class. Libby felt her blood run cold, and dropped her fork the sound of it hitting the table and then the floor causing the rest of the table to look at her. Libby felt a familiar bubbling in her throat and thought for a second that she might vomit. She pushed out of the booth and mumbled an excuse about having to call her mom and rushed from the cafeteria. She hurried to the bathroom, tears burning her eyes as she found a stall and yanked the door open, heaving in a deep breath. Heather watched her leave, biting her lip before turning to Joel who was pushing his food around looking guilty.
Libby avoided Joel, and her whole friend group for the next few days until Heather barged into her room and demanded to know what her problem was.
“I’m fine.”
“Your not.”
“I am.”
“If you were fine-“
“I just don’t feel well okay? Tell Professor M I got sick at lunch will you? I just need to lay down.”
Heather stared at her for a few moments but said nothing else. Libby could tell she had something on the tip of her tongue, but she simply reached forward, gave her hand a squeeze, and left the room. Libby rolled over in bed and faced her wall with a sigh.
A short time later her door opened again and she closed her eyes, feeling a small twinge of annoyance.
“Heather- “ she said turning to roll over “ I told you I’m -“
But it wasn’t Heather standing there in her doorway it was Joel. She sat up very slowly suddenly aware that she was wearing only a pair of shorts and a hoodie, and scooched up against the headboard of her bed.
“Can we talk?” He asked. He was leaning against the doorframe, hands in his pockets, hat backwards on his head. She nodded and he walked forward sitting down on her bed, which wasn’t very big so he was close enough to almost touch her.
“Look.” He said taking a deep breath “I don’t know what’s going on here but I don’t like it. I feel like things have changed? I don’t know but-I miss my best friend.”
Joel wasn’t the most eloquent of speakers but she could tell this was coming straight from his heart. He looked both sad and confused, choosing his words carefully before he spoke again.
“Is this about the hand holding thing? I’m sorry I just, it just happened if I had known it would upset you I wouldn’t have done it.”
“It’s not about the hand holding thing I’m just all messed up.”
“And the girl from my math class, it wasn’t really like a date date more like a study thing but she was weird af and I didn’t even really wanna hang out with her.”
“I know.” She sighed and tucked her hair behind her ear “ I’m sorry if I spazzed about it, I don’t really know what’s wrong. Just going through something right now. It’s fine Joel really.”
“Really?” He asked reaching a large hand forward to rest it on her bare knee “Because of it wasn’t you would tell me right?”
“Really.”
He smiled and gave her knee a gentle shove.
“Can we do something tomorrow? Just us.”
She nodded “ Sure.”
“Sweet. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He stood up and pushed at the doorway, before turning to her “ I really missed you Lib. Glad things are cool now.”
And then he was gone. Libby let out a long deep breath slouching against her headboard with a groan.
She liked Joel.
More than she should. More than anyone should like their best friend. But what do you do when you feel that way? Do you say it out loud and risk losing them?
No.
You bury it.
********
Joel decided on a walk and a movie. Jake, his roomie had family in town and would be gone for the rest of the evening. They fell back into being best friends againduring the course of their walk, catching up on whatever they had missed since the last time they talked. Words and laughter came easy as they walked around campus till they reached his dorm. The minute he closed the door behind her and started rummaging around for something to watch she realized how small the room really was. He put something in the DVD player and threw himself down next to her on the bed, pressed against her side. She stiffened for a few minutes as the opening credits rolled but when Joel bumped her a few times and mumbled a “move over” before digging his elbow into her side she sent him an elbow back. He mock glared at her and used all of his body weight to attempt to push her over. She shoved back and before long an all out war was being waged.
“Move OVER!” He said breathlessly as she wiggled around refusing to give him any more room.
“I will not!” Joel jammed his fingers into each of her sides and she let out a shriek eyes widening. She propelled herself off the bed sending them both flying to the floor with a loud ‘Oof!’
They laughed and laughed, untangling from eachother. Libby looked up at him from her spot on the floor.
For the briefest of moments Joel thought he might kiss her. It would be so easy to just lean down and push his lips up against hers. But he didn’t. He extended his hand and helped her back up on to his bed to finish the movie.

paper rings (o.w one shot)
Hii! I've just read your Oliver fic and it's amazing. I need more, and I don't know if your requests are open but if they're, can you write something for him with a slytherin!reader. Maybe they're are some kind of rivals, but end up becoming friends and then lovers. Thank you!!
Hi again haha! I was the one requesting something for Oliver, can you add or based it on paper rings by taylor swift? Like the part where she sings “i hate accidents except when we went from friends to this” 🤍
PROMPT: based on paper rings by taylor swift. Oliver and Y/N never got to know each other when they were in Hogwarts— years later, they finally do.
WC: 4.2K+ (im sorry)
HARRY POTTER MASTERLIST
-
paper rings (o.w one shot)
It seemed that life never meant for you and Oliver Wood to become a part of each other’s lives. You were a year below him at Hogwarts and by the time you entered as a first year, Oliver had already established his hatred for the rival house of Gryffindor— Slytherin, which just happened to be the house you got sorted in. Over the years, neither of you really went out of your way to become friends with each other. In fact, the only time Oliver saw you outside of shared classes was when Gryffindor played against Slytherin, which your boyfriend— or ex-boyfriend— Cassius Warrington was the chaser for.
Oliver knew very little about you and he was never kept up at night by the thought of you. You weren’t really a popular student either. He didn’t even know your name. In his defense, his Hogwarts years were centered purely on Quidditch. You were just the girl he occasionally bumped into in the hallways while he was trying to do last minute revisions for their game plans. Or the girl who happened to check out the exact book he needed to write an essay for Snape. Or the girl he saw occupying the same seat in the Slytherin stands during the Gryffindor versus Slytherin matches.
It wasn’t until three years after the end of the war did Oliver finally meet you— officially. He decided to come back and give a summer camp opportunity for Hogwarts Quidditch players, a request from Professor McGonagall. Oliver thought his return to Hogwarts was long overdue, missing the grounds where he got his first real shot at playing Quidditch. You were hired by Professor Flitwick, the same summer that Oliver was asked to come back to Hogwarts, to take over Potions, as it was always your strongest class during your years. After a few years as a Healer, you realized that teaching was your calling and since then, you’ve pestered the Hogwarts staff to allow you to teach on campus until they finally caved.
When you arrived that summer, you were expecting to be greeted by an empty castle, with the exception of the house elves and a few professors. You weren’t expecting a group of thirty students of all ages lined up on the Quidditch Pitch.
As you dropped your bags on the steps leading up to your room, you turned to Professor Flitwick, “What’s that all about? I thought students were out of the castle around this time?”
He ushered you to continue going up, “They are, typically, but Professor McGonagall invited an old student to help some kids with their Quidditch skills. You know her and Quidditch, big fan, she is.”
You hummed in agreement, the explanation enough for you to drop the subject. You found yourself watching the students fly around on their brooms, thinking about how it didn’t seem so long ago since you watched your own classmates doing so. You vividly remember wrapping yourself up in your house colors, cheering on Cassius, but knowing deep down you wanted the other team to win. You were never a fan of the dirty plays of the Slytherin house.
You were so caught up in a daydream that you didn’t notice a bludger flying rapidly towards your opened window. Your eyes widened in fear, anticipating the painful impact. However, it never came. A flash of colors blocked the bludger from hitting your window. When you finally got enough courage to look at what saved you from the bludger that could’ve taken you out, you saw a boy sitting on his broom, a beater bat in hand. His face was turned away from you, his features unable to be seen in the angle he was facing.
“Thank you,” you squeaked, clearing your throat once you realized you were out of harm’s way.
The boy turned around, flashing a concerned look to you. He looked oddly familiar. You were sure you’ve seen him before. He eyed you up and down, grinning when he realized you were safe. He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, “Sorry bout that, miss. These kids are out of practice it seems. Didn’t think they’d need this much help.”
You returned his smile, leaning against your desk, “Well, that’s why you’re here, innit?”
“That’s true,” he smiled. He flew closer to your window, extending his hand, “Oliver Wood.”
You looked down at his shirt, not missing the emblem of Puddlemere United sewn proudly on his chest. You grasped his hand in yours, “Y/N Y/L/N.”
“Say, did you go to Hogwarts?” he asked, titling his head to the side as if trying to figure out if he’d seen you before.
“I did. Bit offended that you don’t remember me, Mr. Star Gryffindor Keeper,” you teased.
“Sorry, I was a bit oblivious to anything not Quidditch related back in school,” he said, sheepishly. Then his eyebrows shot up in realization, “You’re Cassius Warrington’s girlfriend, aren’t you?”
“I was, yes.”
“Was?” Oliver asked, emphasizing your usage of the past tense.
“Was,” you confirmed.
Before he could speak again, he was interrupted by the sound of students arguing on the Quidditch Pitch. He let out a defeated sigh and brought the whistle that was dangling from his neck, up to his lips. A shrieking sound caught the students’ attention and they immediately fell in line.
He turned his attention to you, “I would love to hear the story behind that but unfortunately, I have students to take care of. Will you be down for dinner?”
You nodded in response, making him raise a thumb up and watched him fly back down to the group of clamoring students. As you began to unpack your belongings, you couldn’t help but keep looking over your shoulder to watch Oliver coach the students of various houses. You laughed as he got into a playful argument with one of the Slytherin students who insisted that Puddlemere United was a terrible team. You could tell that Oliver didn’t really take much offense to it, knowing that at the end of the day he was just glad to be playing for such an elite team.
It didn’t take long for the sun to set, an indication that dinner was now being served. You happily made your way down the familiar hallways leading up to the Great Hall. You greeted the various house elves that remembered you from your Hogwarts years and stopped to talk to some young students who were still too scared to talk to the professors on their own.
“I’m going to be one of your professors next year, you know,” you said, walking beside an upcoming second year. “What house are you in?”
“Gryffindor,” he replied, his voice a bit shaky, “Though, I don’t think the sorting hat made the right decision. I’m too scared to talk to professors on my own, how cowardly is that! I’m not a true Gryffindor.”
“Hey, the sorting hat makes no mistakes,” you reassured him, nudging him a bit, “You were sorted into Gryffindor for a reason, okay? Don’t doubt yourself.”
“I suppose,” he sighed, still defeated, “I just wish I was more like Oliver Wood. He’s a true Gryffindor. Plus, he’s such an amazing Quidditch player! I want to be just like him!”
You laughed, opening the door to the Great Hall and allowing him to go inside, “I guess he’s alright.”
“Alright?!” the boy shrieked, eyes bulging out of their sockets, “I’m sorry Professor Y/L/N but Oliver Wood is more than alright.”
“Whatever you say,” you shrugged, walking over to Professor McGonagall to accompany the boy. Once you knew the boy would be alright in his conversation with the professor, you made your way over to the table with the rest of the faculty.
You sat on the corner of the table, waiting patiently for a certain Quidditch star to make his way over to you. He was too preoccupied talking to another Professor, most likely about Puddlemere United as she kept motioning to his shirt. Oliver met your eyes and he sent a friendly wave, signaling that he’ll be there in just a second. You waved him off, starting to fill your plate with some food.
“Hello, Y/N,” Oliver greeted, pulling up a seat beside you, “Sorry for the wait.”
“No worries,” you moved your plate to make some space for him. You took a bite of the steamed vegetables you had on your fork, “I should consider myself lucky that you even made time for me when all these students idolize you.”
He blushed, chuckling at your comment, “I wouldn’t say idolize.”
“Respect?” you offered, sipping from your cup.
“Definitely not respect,” he shook his head, grimacing. “Tolerate, maybe?”
“That’s fair.”
“So, what brings you back to Hogwarts?”
You looked out into the Great Hall, watching the students chat and eat with their friends. The students were still divided by house, despite being there for the summer, “I realized teaching was my passion so I decided to pursue it here.”
“Godric, I don’t know how you do it,” Oliver confessed, taking a big bite of the chicken he piled on his plate, “It’s my first day with these kids and they’re driving me mad.”
“That’s because you’re teaching Quidditch players,” you said. He furrowed his eyebrows, silently asking you to elaborate. You rolled your eyes, “I forgot you’re like the worst of them! Quidditch players are stubborn and headstrong. It’s hard to get anything through the thick skulls of yours.”
“Hey,” Oliver warned, though there was a teasing tone to his voice, “Not all of us are stubborn.”
“Weren’t you the same boy who had a full on argument with Professor McGonagall when she cancelled Quidditch?”
“I can’t believe you remember that after all these years,” he muttered, the tips of his ears turning red from embarrassment, “I will say that was not my finest moment.”
“How about the time you guys lost a match to Hufflepuff and you had a very dramatic moment in the showers?”
“How do you know about that?” he groaned, hiding his face behind his hands.
You let out a hearty laugh, opting to put your cup down instead of drinking from it, “News spreads fast, Wood. But not to worry, those are the only things I remember from our years at school.”
“Good,” he sighed, taking another bite. “I wish I had dirt on you too but the only thing I remember was that you were dating the Chaser from Slytherin and you’re a Slytherin yourself, I believe, so by proxy, you’re an enemy of mine.”
“Aren’t we a bit too old for house rivalries?”
“Never,” Oliver winked. He cleared his throat, looking down at his plate, “Speaking of, what happened between you and Warrington, if you don’t mind me asking.”
“I don’t mind at all,” you responded. You swirled the food on your plate with the tip of your fork, thinking back to your failed relationship, “Let’s just say we chose different sides when it came down to it.”
“Ah,” he nodded, understandingly. “Are you busy until term starts?”
“Depends on why you’re asking. If you’re going to offer for me to join you in Quidditch, then yes, I am busy,” you shuddered, remembering the last time you were on a broom.
Oliver chuckled, “Well, no. I was wondering if you wanted to go out to Hogsmeade some time, if you weren’t busy.”
You blushed, looking down at your lap, “I’d love to.”
He mimicked your actions, the blush returning to his cheeks, “Brilliant. This weekend okay with you?”
-
“Do you ever get tired of people asking for your autograph?” you asked, kicking a stray rock from the walkway. You were on your way to Hogsmeade with Oliver when a few teenagers rushed over to gush about the Quidditch player.
“Never,” he grinned, his hands stuffed in his front pockets. His eyes gleamed with proudness, no doubt ecstatic about his success, “I’ve always wanted to be an athlete that kids could look up to, you know? I want to be a good role model so I’m always happy to sign a few things here and there. If it bothers you, I’ll tell them off, if you want.”
Quickly, you shook your head, “No, no. I don’t mind at all. I was just wondering. Your life has changed a lot since Hogwarts then?”
Oliver whistled, raising his eyebrows, “Yeah, you can say that. The war took its toll on everyone and they wanted to escape so they turned to Quidditch. The sport has never been this popular before.”
You nodded, understanding. You gulped before asking your next question, “Did you lose anyone?”
“Almost,” Oliver admitted, tilting his head over to the direction of a bench, away from the entrance to Hogsmeade. You followed his lead, sitting beside him, knees touching. He continued, “Weasley. Fred, you remember him?”
You hummed, a pang of pain hitting your chest, “Yeah, I do.”
“Nearly died, that git,” a sad smile grazed his features. His voice began to crack and you immediately placed a comforting hand on his arm. “A wall fell on him and he wasn’t breathing for a bit. Thought we lost him but he pulled through. Thank Merlin he did.”
“How’s he now?”
“Better, I think,” he smiled— genuinely this time. “Visited their shop before I got here. Their joke shop on Diagon Alley, have you heard of it?”
“Yeah, I have. Those two were always brilliant when it came to that, weren’t they?”
“Too brilliant for their own good. Say, did you guys ever figure out that they were the cause of Slytherin’s many misfortunes?”
You raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile tugging on your lips, “Who do you think let them into Slytherin chambers?”
“You were their secret conspirator?!” Oliver exclaimed, shocked but impressed that you would help the two troublemakers terrorize your own house, “Godric! Why did you help them?”
“Not many people know this but I’m Muggleborn and my house wasn’t the kindest to me,” you cleared your throat, thinking back to the horrible days in Hogwarts once the Dark Lord’s followers became braver, “They only left me alone when I was with Cassius but obviously, when it came down to the real thing, he ended up just like the rest of them.”
You felt a hand grip yours. You stared at Oliver’s thumb, drawing circles on the top of your hand. When you looked up, you saw he was staring at your intertwined fingers, as if trying to figure out what to say to your sudden confession.
After a few beats of silence, you decided to continue speaking, “The twins saved me from being terrorized once in my fifth year. I was a year older than them but they had more courage than I ever did. I made a mistake, honestly it was an accident in an assignment. The guy I was paired with was cursing my name and calling me some nasty things and Fred and George stepped in and hexed the bloke. Got them like a month of detention but they never, ever, complained about it. Lost touch with them after I graduated.”
“I didn’t know you knew them that well,” he replied, leaning back but not moving his hand away from yours.
“I don’t,” you chuckled, looking at him, “We weren’t really friends, per se, but when they needed help, I was there. Same goes for me. I think it was just unspoken between the three of us, if that makes sense. But like I said, after I graduated, I lost touch with everyone from school. Muggleborns were targeted so I just tried to keep my head down. Didn’t even know about what happened to him until you said it just now.”
Oliver paled, “I’m sorry you had to find out this way.”
You shook your head, squeezing his hand for comfort, “Not your fault. Glad to hear he’s doing better. I don’t think the world would continue turning without Fred Weasley.”
“I second that,” he laughed, getting up and pulling you with him, “Now, I’m in the mood for some Butterbeer and I would love your company. You alright with that?”
“It’s like you read my mind.”
As you walked to the entrance to Hogsmeade, Oliver piped up, “You should come visit their shop. They’re doing really well.”
You pondered it for a moment, unconsciously leaning against his shoulder, “You reckon they still remember me?”
“Hard to believe someone would forget you,” he mumbled, eyes widening when he realized he spoke out loud. You looked down at your feet, a blush coating your cheeks. Oliver mirrored your expression, the tips of his ears turning beet red, once again. He cleared his throat, “I reckon they’ll be over the moon to see you.”
“I’ll go if you come with me,” you looked up at him, hopefully. You didn’t miss the small smile on his lips and the way his eyes twinkled when he looked down at you, practically leaning on his broad chest.
“Then it’s settled, we’ll hit Diagon Alley before term starts.”
-
The rest of the time that you and Oliver were in Hogwarts, you spent most of your time together. It became evident to the rest of the professors and even some of the students that there was something going on between the two of you. Everyone knew of it.
Everyone except you. And Oliver.
You spent your days looking at the Quidditch player longingly, acting like you were a lovestruck student. You lost your senses whenever Oliver came around— stumbling over your words, blushing furiously when your hands brushed, or laughing too loud for too long over one of his terrible jokes. Some students have tried to get you two together by staging run-ins or inviting you to their Quidditch practices where the kids would purposely mess up just so Oliver could swoop in and show off his skills. It left you breathless, much to your dismay and the students’ excitement. They wouldn’t admit it either but sometimes they’d engage in very, rough plays that would result in Oliver getting a scratch or two so that he was forced to come see you to heal his wounds, as you were a trained Healer.
Now, it was the final day of the summer camp and you were going to board Hogwarts Express with the students and Oliver. You both decided to visit Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes later that day. You had three weeks before the term started for the school year and before you were going to be an official Hogwarts professor.
You plopped down on one of the seats, leaning your head against the window. It brought you back to the days when you were a student, waiting eagerly to arrive at Hogwarts to embark on whatever adventure was laid out for you. Oliver sat across from you after putting his trunk in the bin above you.
He nudged your foot with his, “You’re about to be a professor in a few weeks. How’s it feel?”
You grimaced a bit, “Nerve wracking? I dunno… I feel like I’m not ready.”
“Nonsense,” Oliver said, “I’ve watched you with the kids. Quidditch players too, the worst of the lot according to you, and you were fantastic. They’ll love you.”
“They only liked me because I know the famous Oliver Wood.”
“Knock it off,” he rolled his eyes, smiling playfully at you. He got up and situated himself beside you, “Stop it. Take credit for your greatness. You’re going to be an incredible professor.”
You turned red because of his praise. You cleared your throat, unsure if you would be able to handle anymore of his compliments, “What about you Quidditch star? Excited to be back on the pitch?”
He nodded, “Very, but I will miss Hogwarts and the kids. Didn’t think I’d get attached to them but here I am. It felt good to be back there, you know? But I feel like I’ve seen it in a new light now that I’m older.”
“Ah yes, the old and wise Oliver Wood,” you teased, resting your head on him.
He immediately wrapped his arm around you, wanting to feel you closer to him, “Oh, shut up.”
You remained silent. You didn’t know if it was the right time to say something but you couldn’t deny the feelings that flourished over the span of time that you got to know Oliver. It was hard not to fall for him— charismatic, talented, patient, brave, and not to mention, handsome. He was funny and kept you on your toes with his energy and youthfulness. He had a moral compass that steered him to the right thing, every single time, without fail. He was sure of himself but not cocky or arrogant, but so secure in what he wants himself to be— both career wise and personally. Oliver Wood was not someone you simply meet. He was someone you had to experience because letting him slip past your fingers was a crime on its own.
You sighed softly, burying your face in the warmth of his thin jumper. You felt his heart thumping against your cheek and his thumb caressing your back.
His chest rumbled from under you as he spoke, “What’s on your mind, darling?”
In a surge of confidence, you replied, “I’ll miss you.”
You could feel him melt. He wrapped his arms tighter around you, as if you would keep him from completely falling apart. Oliver was hesitant at first. His lips ghosted over the top of your head and you could feel him retreating a few times before he let himself kiss you. You let out a breath of satisfaction when you felt his warm lips touch your crown and his mumbled words engulfed by your skin.
You didn’t hear what he said so you pulled away, ready to ask him to repeat it, “Pardon?”
Oliver looked at you, his eyes empty except for one glimmer that you’ve never seen before. A sad smile made its way to the lips that was once on your skin, before he shook his head, “Nothing, love. We’ll write, won’t we?”
“I’d be disappointed if we didn’t.”
“Well, I couldn’t live with myself if I disappointed you.”
“Oliver…” you trailed off, pushing yourself off of him for a minute. You cursed under your breath when you missed his touch as soon as you pulled away.
His eyebrows furrowed, confusion evident on his face, “What’s wrong?”
“Do you ever think our friendship—” You stopped for a moment when that word slipped past your lips, not realizing how painful it was to admit that you two were nothing more than friends. You failed to notice the grimace that danced upon Oliver’s face as he wished, more than anything, for you to be more than his friend.
You continued, “—was an accident? I mean, we had what? 6 years at Hogwarts and didn’t once talk to each other? What were the odds that we’d be at Hogwarts the same time years after we graduated and after a bloody war and get to know each other in a few weeks better than we ever did in 6 years?”
“If there’s one thing I learned, life is unpredictable, Y/N,” Oliver said, looking directly at you. “I signed up to help kids play Quidditch for a summer. I didn’t think that I would meet you, but I thank my lucky stars that I did. I always associated the word accident with something horrible but if this— if we— were an accident, then so be it. But it’s a happy accident… at least I think so.”
You gulped, slowly inching over to him. Your hands were shaking and it wasn’t because it suddenly felt so cold in the compartment where you sat. It was because you were getting closer to Oliver Wood— so impossibly close, you could feel his breath tickling your lips. He didn’t make any moves to push you away. He just nudged your nose with his and let his eyes drop slowly, until he saw only fireworks behind his eyelids and felt nothing else but the feeling of your sweet lips on his. Oliver pulled your body as close to his as possible and kissed you so passionately, you swore you forgot how to breathe.
When the two of you finally pulled away, both of your eyes were still closed, afraid that once you opened them, the other would be nothing but a fragment of your imagination. But when your eyes fluttered open, you saw a sheepish Oliver Wood, flushed red in his cheeks, smiling at you like a little boy on Christmas Day. Your shaking hand was engulfed by his stable one, warmth and belonging coursing through your body. It felt right.
His voice sliced through the love-hazed air, “I hope that wasn’t an accident.”
“I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this,” you confessed, leaning in to kiss him again. Before you connected your lips, you spoke, “I fancy you, Oliver Wood. If that wasn’t obvious enough.”
“I fancy you, too, Y/N Y/L/N,” Oliver responded, placing a quick kiss to your lips. He pulled away, cupping your face in his palm. His lips brushed yours, “If that wasn’t obvious enough.”

Past [Part 2] (Obsession)
A/N: Some chapters will be named with either “Past,” “Present,” or “Future,” then their numbered part coming right after it. This is to confuse you less when flashbacks or anything happens. As you have probably noticed, it says “Past” for Part 2. This is going back near when Tom and her just met. Thank you for reading! <3

Tom Riddle's Moodboard
Main Character's Moodboard
~////////////////𓆙////////////////~
1940 - 3rd year
“Potions is not that bad, I swear. You just have to be good at measuring.”
At the table, my friends and I are discussing our classes this year. Potions being one of my favorite topics. Devyn absolutely loathes that certain class. We have to drag her there to make sure she doesn’t skip. Poor girl tries her best to not mess up but the cauldron always ends up blowing up. I even watched her do every step once, never missing a beat. The potion still ended up failing, even though she did everything correctly. She gave up after a while, who wouldn’t. I help her do extra assignments for extra credit to keep her grade up. She also studies with me to make sure she can memorize everything and pass her tests. Amelia is pretty good at the class, she’s luckily paired with Devyn most of the time. Carrying the potion to success, with a little bit of my secret help. It’s not cheating, it’s using your resources.
I’m resources.
“Potions is not that bad,” Devyn mocks me. “If it weren’t for you two I would have gone insane in that stupid class.”
Amelia just laughs at her while eating her hash browns on the plate. She reaches her hand out to take some more eggs.
“You were able to do it before. Not the way you were supposed to, but it worked,” Amelia says.
“Exactly, just start doing it your way at this point. I don’t think Slughorn will care how it’s done, just how it comes out.”
Devyn nods her head and points at me with a fork. Her mouth full of food so she settles for that response. My plate doesn’t have much other than some bacon and fruit. I’m not usually a breakfast eater. I get my appetite at lunch and dinner time. It’s just too early for a bunch of food smells, the smells make me kind of nauseous. I’ll eat though, enough to hold me off till lunch.
The chatter in the lunchroom rises by the minute. Everyone refilling themselves before their busy day. All energy levels rising while everyone wakes up from their groggy morning mood. While my friends finish eating we continue to talk about our classes and share the schedules for this year. Most classes we had were the same except for our electives. I tried taking as many electives as possible. My family back home never really did magic. I actually came a year and a half late since my family wanted me to have a normal school experience. I learned to do everything without the use of magic, the only thing my mom taught me was the floo network, creatures, and plants. I would often accompany her to Diagon Alley when she shops. I got an Owl for my 10th birthday. A cat would have been amazing if I wasn’t allergic to it. My owl is a brown and white-furred barn owl. Don’t ask me why I named it Bartholomew. I was ten okay, give me a break. Speaking of the floo network, my mom had to chase me through it quite often because I kept teleporting everywhere. I once ran into the Ministry of Magic’s building and got lost. They had to take me home to my parents. Their faces told me everything I needed to know about the punishment waiting for me.
Halfway through the second year is when I came to Hogwarts, a second letter coming that year asking my parents to let me learn more there. So when they finally let me attend, everything was pretty new to me. My mother was the magic one in the family. Her grandmother, my great-grandmother, before her had the magic gene. Going to school was the same experience as going from a muggle-borns perspective. The difference is, I knew more about its existence. I would look at yearbooks my mom had from when she went here. She earned a lot of titles, all the achievements being recorded down. I always wondered why she never wanted me to come here. Did something happen to me, to her? I’m guessing she just wanted a normal life with dad. He has always supported her through everything. A love, a bond like that is hard to come by. He would also learn about magic right next to me. At least, the stuff my mom allowed to let us know.
That’s why I want to learn as much as I can, of what’s available. Why learn math in the muggle world when I could be learning divination. Spells of all types, potions for everything of inconvenience. My chores could be completed with just a flick of my wand. I’ve lately been learning wandless magic, on my own. Albus has helped by providing me with material to study that type of magic. The only thing I’ve managed so far is a spark coming from the tips of my fingertips. Sparking hope that I could actually, maybe, achieve that level. Now I won't get my hopes up, but that can lead me to a certain advantage in dueling. That being one of my weakest skills. Always panicking, saying any spells that pop up in my mind, and making random movements coming from my wand. Often confusing who I’m up against, although they recover from that confusion fairly quickly.
Riddle, met him once. One too many if you would ask me. I dissuade ever wanting to speak to him. Arrogance and pride flow through his tongue like second nature. I do take pride in succeeding above him in 3 classes. He is 2 classes above me but, that’s not the point. I do admit, he’s attractive. Only a little though, how else would he charm his way through the professors and students.
“Alright, I’m ready to go. You guys done?”
“Yeah,” I say. Devyn and I start leaving our seats and heading towards the huge doors.
Amelia hurried from her seat, a few steps behind since she took some fruit with her to eat on the way. More and more students also started making their way towards the first period. Not wanting to be blamed for the loss of house points. This system causes so many fights, everyone’s competitive side getting the best of their common sense. I would be lying if I said it didn’t get the best of me before. Amelia being her usual bubbly self skips backward while chatting with us. Before we could warn her to stop, she pushes someone ahead of her. Both falling down, hitting the floor. She spins her head extremely quickly, her hair sticking in her mouth from the force of the wind.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention,” she explains. Quickly trying to digest her situation. I make my way towards her and pull her up. I fix her robe and dust off any dirt on the cloth from the floor.
“Clearly idiot, can you not use those bug eyes of yours to see?”
Devyn and I make eye contact. We understand that there are witnesses here, and one of them is bound to snitch on us if we fight. A huge scene would probably make Amelia feel even more embarrassed as well. Instead, I guided Amelia by her back. We continue on to class while I comfort her. Devyn is staying back to “talk” to the guy. Lestrange is in for it now, any poor soul would be when in the fiery path of her anger.
Devyn’s loud yells could still be slightly heard when entering the potions classroom. First class of the year, and day. On Slughorn’s table, I can see a vial with the wideye potion contained inside. I set Devyn’s textbook on her station, turning to the page that contains information on the potion. Hoping to save her confusion and time.
“Welcome, welcome! Nice to see some old faces, and new ones,” he says with the biggest grin on his face. “Today we’ll be learning about the Wideye potion. Can anyone tell me what this potion does?”
I quickly raise my hand, rather eager. I did some reading about a lot of potions during the summer. Trying to get a headstart on my studies. This potion being one of them. Only 3 students raised their hand, one of them being me. The other, well, Riddle.
“Yes, go ahead and answer,” the professor looks my way.
I smile, “The wideye potion prevents the person consuming the liquid the ability to fall asleep. Which is often used in the medical field to wake someone from a sleep caused by a blunt force or drug.”
“Precisely! 10 points.”
I look back rather smugly at Riddle, rather happy I got chosen instead of him. I know, he could have easily answered that too. I’ll let myself bask in the small achievement for now. 30 minutes of class is just spent writing down notes, preparing us for the potion we will make. Note-taking is my favorite, especially the little doodles I get to make. We use a feather instead of the regular pen. I found it rather amusing and liked the certain feeling of writing with it. The dipping noise that the point of the feather makes when hitting the liquid ink is a very profound sound. No real writer’s bump forming on my fingers.
“That’s enough writing, I need you all to prepare your cauldron, gather the materials you need, and start your potion. If done correctly, tomorrow when we add the finishing touches and check on it the potion should be a blue/green color,” Slughorn comments. “You have 10 minutes to study your notes, then the rest of the class to make your potion. No looking back at your notes after those ten minutes.”
After scanning my notes, I stand up and walk towards the ingredients on the shelves. If I remember correctly my potion requires snake fangs, standard ingredient, and wolfsbane. I gather all that in my hand and set it down near my cauldron. Before I start, I take a moment. I’m missing something, I’m sure there was another ingredient.
Wolfsbane, check.
Snake fangs, six of them.
I have the measures of Standard ingredient.
There’s one more, I try to look around the room. Then I remember that we get an automatic failing grade if caught cheating. There’s no way I’ll let my grade drop like that. Over something so small and inconvenient too. Making my way to the shelves, I scan over the ingredients over and over again. Trying to see if any of the names pop out to me.
No.
Definitely not.
That’s an ingredient?
I don’t even want to know how that one was obtained.
This one, of course it’s this one. I even remember putting a star next to the name in my notebook. Dried Billwig stings, I believe six of them were needed. All that time wasted. Hurrying to my seat I get to work. The time goes by quickly, all that could be heard was the sizzling and whooshing of our potions. I almost knocked down my vials a couple of times. Someone actually did, their time spent on cleaning the glass off the floor. After heating the first three ingredients, I crush them together in the mortar. Then stir clockwise from what I recall, three times specifically. Finally, I wave my wand over then leave it to brew.
Just in time from the looks of it. I glance at Devyn to see how it went for her, and she looks pretty proud of herself. I take that as a blessing that it didn’t blow up this time of round. I’m guessing she took our advice and did it her own way.
A student raises his hand, “May we leave?”
“Oh yes yes, go ahead. No assignments for the first day, only the potion you made in class.”
Before I leave the classroom I examine Riddle’s station. He already left the room. His potion looks similar to how mine turned out, his workspace thoroughly cleaned. Everything used properly placed back to where it should be. Perfectly spotless, not a single speck of dust in sight. All done without magic too, surprising for someone born into the wizarding world. When I mentioned that I met him once, it wasn’t much of anything. The only way I know how he really acts is through other people. Much admire his intelligence and strong will. Others are jealous of the potential he holds for the future.
Girls are already trying to slip love potions into his drinks. I would feel bad if he wasn’t so rude to them. Only just before touching the disrespectful line. He almost drank one of their attempts before. Wouldn’t want to imagine how that turned out. Tom riddle, in love. That man probably doesn’t know the feeling of happiness, let alone love. I feel bad for his future girlfriend, she’s going to have to deal with a handful of baggage.
~////////////////𓆙////////////////~
“How much do you want to bet Nott will demolish him?” A Gryffindor girl to my left whispers.
Nott, part of Riddle’s group from what I’ve seen. They all eat lunch together and talk to one another so it’s a reasonable guess. Very talented duellist, one of the bests here.
“I hate to admit it, but he’ll definitely win this. I’ll still have hope for the other guy though,” I whisper back trying not to sound mean.
Nott and the other Slytherin boy are up right now. It’s a courtesy for the audience to stay quiet until someone casts the first attack or defense. From then on all you will hear is shouting of encouragement and the opposite. Nott’s eyes are focused, zoning in on the opponent before him. His wand is steady, mouth slightly parted to breathe through better. Whole-body alert and tense waiting for something. From what I'm getting, I believe he’s waiting for the Slytherin boy to go first. Nott casts spells quickly and thinks them through decently. Sometimes you're not able to create a counter-spell quick enough to defend yourself against him.
Riddle’s group and himself are near the corner of the platform. All seemingly analyzing every breath he inhales and exhales. I finally hear the whoosh of a wand and a whiz of light fly past the platform. The glow from the spell lighting our faces for a millisecond. Nott quickly counters that spell and moves to cast his own. Magic flies across the platform, all of our eyes going back and forth like a ping-pong match. The Slytherin boy starts breaking a sweat. He’s only been able to get a couple of offensive spells in there, most of his plays spent throwing off Nott’s. If he doesn’t turn the battle soon, the outcome will become very clear.
It is a little less exciting since we only know a handful of spells. So whatever you know from your own studies you use in these duels. When we move up the years the class will become more serious and dangerous. Right now it’s just to teach us how to counter and cast quickly. The proper etiquette and movement. You use spells that you know, they aren’t supposed to harm someone. Either stun them, make them fly back, or disarm. Most of those spells require a little of a higher level, most of us not even knowing of its existence yet. So what’s mostly cast between competitors is a basic spell to exert force. That force should be aimed for the legs, or the wand to disarm that way. The way someone can win here is to make their knees or hands touch the floor, or disarm their wand. As I mentioned, it will get more intense as time goes by. We're only just starting 3rd year right now, a lot more charms will be learned later on.
I shake my head to get rid of any lingering thoughts. My attention goes right back to the duel taking place in front of me. Nott quickly aims a spell at the knees and manages to bring the other boy to his knees.
“Mr. Nott wins this duel! Please step off the platform, we will evaluate your performance.”
During the practice duels today, you watch it, think of ways to help the person improve, and point out things they might have done wrong. At the end, the professor picks people raising their hands to allow them to give their feedback. Participating is part of the grade you get in here. I personally prefer giving feedback then dueling. I’m not the best at casting, I do give out good defense spells though. That should mean something, I hope.
“Let’s start with Nott, does anyone have feedback for him?”
A couple of people spread apart raised their hands. One by one they all ask questions and give feedback. They mention his feet and posture when he stands. Arms fully stretched out where it would have been more flexible to bend it slightly. When he casts he shouldn’t be walking backward. They shortly switch to the other boy’s questions and feedback. The way he never gave himself the opening to cast an offensive spell often. He would move around his area a lot. Almost slipping off the stage during one of those movements. Tom and his group privately discussed with one another. They’re probably giving Nott their own feedback and suggestions privately.
“Now, Riddle I want you to come up and…,” he scans the room for another student. After some time he points his finger at me. “You.”
I could have had a smooth sailing class. I was so close to not having to go up there. My hands start sweating a bit, my anxiety jumbling my thoughts together. Riddle’s already up there and soon to be on his side of the platform. Taking his wand out and wandering his fingers over the design. I gulp, a big toad stuck in my throat. I wipe my hands on my robe and start up the stairs. Riddle seems as unbothered as ever. We bow, turn, then walk ten paces back. During this time I try predicting who will cast first. I don’t know him very well, I’ve also never seen him duel.
I take my dueling stance and wait for the signal to start. Hoping, praying, that I don’t embarrass myself. Slipping up is not allowed, not when going against him.

Here is a short one shot I wrote. I hope you guys like it ! It’s a Sirius and reader one shot when they are still in Hogwarts !
Sirius and Y/N : the stars listen
My name is Y/N, and I’m a Gryffindor 6th year. So before I start this story which is the story of me and my friend Sirius... yes Sirius as in Sirius Black, brother of Regulus Black, the famous Marauder and best friend of James Potter... that Sirius Black...
So I should begin by telling you a bit about myself. I am a Muggle born which means that when I first got my letter from Hogwarts I was ecstatic... this was the best news I had ever heard. I met Sirius on the train with James, Sirius, Remus and Peter and we became friends. I was always closer to Sirius, he was the first one to tell me about his family problems.... I remember it like it was yesterday... It was the summer holidays of our 3rd year.. I had gone home and was in the back garden reading a book Remus had recommended when I heard a noise coming from a bush... I got up and Sirius came out of it all bloody and panting for breath. I let go of everything and took him in my arms. He rested in my room and I felt a pinch. My heart was beating fast.... he was delirious from the pain. I helped him the best I could... I remember the tears and the pain he felt... I remember every word of our exchange... and what I remember the most was that ... that day ... that hot summer day .... I realised that .... I was in love with my best friend.... I felt the pain ... his pain .... I was irrevocably in love with the infamous Sirius Black.
That summer, he would come to my house and we would spend hours talking. That summer was the best summer of my life.
So now you have a bit of a back story I can start the story.
It started when Slughorn asked us to make Amortentia as he always like to do with his 6th years. I was partnered up with Lily Evans, my girl best friend and roommate. We made the potion with a little help from her old friend Severus. She wasn’t talking to him really ... and I understood why .... he had called her a Mudblood ... that word .... I had been called it a few times but Sirius would always come and defend me. I always loved that about him ... he was a pure blood but he always defended the ones who weren’t like him.
The class went on and our potion was done. Professor Slughorn came up to us to congratulate us.
⁃ well done !! Well done !! Could I ask you to tell me what you smell miss Y/L/N ?
⁃ I ... I ... mmm I smell ...lemon... pine... smoke ... something old .... a record shop .... and .... sorry ...
I stopped right there .. I was smelling Sirius’s cologne. Lily looked at me oddly....
⁃ Y/N ..
⁃ class dismissed !
I walked out as fast as I could. I loved Lily but she could sometimes be a nosy Parker.
It was the last lesson of the day so I walked to the library and took out a book.
I stayed there until dinner time. It was always quiet this time of year, because mid term exams were over. As I walked into the Great Hall I saw a my table, the Gryffindor table being the loudest as usual.
⁃ Y/N !!!!, shouted James, get over here now !!!
⁃ WHAT ????, I shouted back and laughed.
I sat down at my usual stop next to Remus and opposite Sirius who was laughing with James
⁃ what did I miss ?, I asked with a smile
⁃ Sirius’s got a new girl that’s what !!, shouted James
My smile faded away immediately but I put it back on. I couldn’t let it get to me.
⁃ oh wow ... congrats Pads !
⁃ Thanks N/N !
⁃ How come you never told me ?, I asked
⁃ Sorry N/N you were so busy with your revisions that i forgot !, he said with that grin that always made the butterflies in my stomach explode.
⁃ Well who is she come on ? Tell us !, I said trying to be the best best friend I could ever be.
So he started to tell us about her eyes, her hair... i blocked out most of what he was saying .... it was hard ... very hard ... i had never seen him talk about a girl like
this before ... i felt a pain in my chest, the same
pain ... i felt every time James would recount his best mates love adventures or how Sirius got a date with this girl or that Ravenclaw Prefect ... i got up.
⁃ Y/N ? are you ok ?, asked Remus
⁃ yeah ! sorry ! i forgot to do a homework for Binns ! i'll meet you in the common room !
I walked out really fast.. I had ran up to the astronomy tower.. the astronomy tower ... it was my sanctuary... I would go up every time I felt down or .... I sat down and let my legs dangle of the top. I looked up at the stars.. Sirius had taught me all of them... the names of the constellations... my favorite was ... of course ... Sirius ! The dog constellation !
I felt tears rolling down my cheeks... Merlin ! Don’t I look pathetic ... crying over a boy ... a boy I love ...
⁃ you know ... you should really look out and keep an ear out for strangers listening in on you !
I jumped and looked around to see non other than Remus Lupin
⁃ what do you want Remus ?, I said drying a tear away.
⁃ Well ... you know you can always talk to me ! I know the stars listen but ... maybe a friendly face might help ..
⁃ how much of it did you hear ?
⁃ Well let’s say I’m shocked no one else at school hasn’t heard your confession or your undying love for our favorite dog
⁃ You better not say anything Remus ‘
⁃ Ok ok ... chill ... but you know ... maybe you should tell him
⁃ Who ?
⁃ Y/N !
⁃ Good night Remus !
I walked down the stairs and got back to the common room. I couldn’t see Sirius... well it was probably for the best.
I walked up the stairs and got into my dorm... the girls were fast asleep as I got under the covers... I was welcomed with open by Morpheus.
As I woke up the next day, I went down to have breakfast with Marlene, who kept talking about Dorcas and her plan for their perfect date. I’m not going to lie and say I wasn’t jealous of them. They had both found each other and were perfect for one another.
So I listened to Marls and gave her advice :
⁃ you know .... Instead of buying her something why not make her a nice thing !
⁃ That’s a really good idea N/N ! Thanks !
⁃ You’re welcome !
We sat down and started to have breakfast. Dorcas joined us with Lily.
⁃ where were you last night ?, asked Lily
⁃ Oh mmmm I....
⁃ probably went looking for a dark, tall, handsome man..., said Marlene with her eyebrows going up and down.
⁃ I don’t know what you are talking about !, I said drinking my pumpkin juice trying to hide my blush.
⁃ Come on ! It’s obvious you like him !, answered Dorcas
⁃ Leave it !, I said
⁃ Guys guys guys ! If N/N doesn’t want to talk about it ! Then let’s not pressure them ...
⁃ thanks Lily !
⁃ Although.... yesterday during potions... you did describe the scent....
⁃ who described what ?, asked Sirius sitting down next to me
⁃ Nothing ! Aren’t you supposed to be at practice ?, I asked
⁃ James caught a cold and is in bed !, he said taking a sip of my juice
⁃ Oh ... is he alright ?, asked Lily
I smirked at my best friend and he nodded:
⁃ why don’t you go and see him ?, I said with a smirk
Lily went as red as her hair, Sirius and I snickered
⁃ well ... while Lily tries and understand her complex feelings ... want to come to Hogsmeade ?, asked Padfoot
⁃ Yeah sure.... I’ll get my purse, I exclaimed
⁃ Great ! Meet you at the front !
I ran up to my dorm. I got my prettiest coat and put my purse. I arrived at the front of Hogwarts out of breath to see Lily, Marlene, Dorcas, Peter, Remus.... and Sirius with his girlfriend... Eloise.... she was a Ravenclaw 5th year... she had blond hair and green eyes... she was pretty... not like me... I had to stop my staring.... really Y/N.... stop thinking about him... he’s got a girlfriend... Merlin !
⁃ ready to go ?, asked my best friend
⁃ Mmm yeah... sure ! Hey Eloise !
⁃ Hey Y/N !
The afternoon was spent watching my best friend snogging in one of the booths in the Three Broomsticks... I wanted to vomit... I had to hold the urge.... Remus was there with me the whole time... we were about to leave when Sirius came up to us.
⁃ hey ! Eloise wants to stay a bit longer ! I’ll catch up with you guys in the common room ok ?
⁃ Yeah sure ! Whatever !, I said
⁃ Y/N ! What’s wrong ?, he asked concern in his eyes
⁃ Nothing ! Don’t want to keep your girlfriend waiting !, I spit back
I walked away. When The castle was in full view, ran leaving my friends behind me. I wanted to be left alone... the boy I have loved for so long...
this was pathetic I knew it... I looked at the picture frame ... it was of me and Sirius... we were laughing at one of James’s bad jokes.
I had to put it down...I can’t watch it anymore... I can’t help it.... he’s the reason for the tear drops on my guitar... Godric now I’m quoting Taylor Swift songs...
I hadn’t realised it was time for dinner... I looked at the clock and I had missed dinner... I went downstairs hearing laughters. I watched my friends around the fire... Lily was next to James taking care of him... of course he was loving it... that crazy stag !
I saw Remus listening to Peter talking about Merlin knows what... Sirius was watching the flammes in the fireplace. I walked past them and out of the portrait. I walked to the place I loved.. you guessed it... the astronomy tower... the stars were out, the sky was clear and the moon was in a nice croissant.
⁃ why won’t you love me ? ... I’ve always been there for you ... Why !!!!! Why won’t you listen to me stars !!!!
⁃ Who are you talking to ??, asked Padfoot
I turned around quickly seeing my best friend with his hair down.. a gust of wind made his hair twirl around his gorgeous face... I couldn’t help but blush... I turned around to look at the castle grounds... I felt him come close to me.
⁃ what are you doing here all on your own... ?
⁃ I needed the air ! Why aren’t you with Eloise ?
⁃ It’s past curfew you know ?
⁃ Oh really ? I was lost in thought !!
⁃ Yeah ... talking to the stars ?
I was even more red than Lily’s hair ...
⁃ what are you talking about ?
⁃ Come on N/N ! I know you ! And I want you to know ...
⁃ what ??
I turned my head to look at him to feel his lips on mine... he had his hand on my jaw... I felt my eyes close to savour the moment. His lips tasted like fire whiskey and cigarettes... we broke appart and I looked into his grey eyes. He had a smirk on his face.
⁃ but.... I don’t understand ... what about Eloise...?
He smiled that toothy smile I loved so much...
⁃ you are really something you know ?, he whispered, I have always loved you ! N/N ! Eloise was helping me get your attention ! And I guessed it worked ... haha
I had my hands over my mouth, I felt tears starting to prickle down my eyes. I was happy...
⁃ hey hey hey ! Don’t cry beautiful !! What is it ?
⁃ I am happy ... these are happy tears ! I love you !!
I froze... I had said the “L” word before anything could happen... I messed up... I was about to leave when I felt his hand on my forearm... I looked up to see Sirius smiling and looking at me in a way I had never seen before.
⁃ I love you too dove ! I love you too !
I felt his lips back on mine and I smiled. Maybe the stars are listening. If you are thank you, thank you for making this possible.
The stars listen.

the boy who learned how to love
part two to “the boy who was conceited”
hogwarts au
kinda angst, kinda fluff?
draco x slytherin!reader
warning: depressed reader, vague description about self harm, fight against parent
word count: 2.2k
you spent weeks isolated away from the slytherin table and stayed with cedric, after apologizing for disappearing during the ball, despite the black mark on your arm. luckily, since it was winter time, it was easier to hide the mark under a sweater or long sleeved shirt. most days, you would hide in the room of requirements, crying, about the stinging sensation present on your arm or stay dazed and out of it until someone snaps you out.
“y/n,” you hum as you look up at cedric, “what’s up?” he grabs your hand, thankfully not the arm with the mark, and caresses it. “if you’re not okay, just tell me so i can help you.” you put your other hand on top of large one, “thank you, but i’m fine. honestly, just a little overwhelmed with school work.” cedric smiles at you lovingly and then kisses your forehead. you wrap your arms around his waist, “i’m sorry i’m being so selfish. i just had to make everything about me when you’re the one in the triwizard tournament.” his fingers twirl around in your hair as you both continue to embrace, “it’s alright love, you matter more.”
during your classes, all of which you shared with draco malfoy, you sat next to daphne while pansy sat next to draco. you stare down at your paper, not having anything written on your notes. daphne glances over at you in pity and hands you her notes at the end of class, “finish your notes y/n. just return them to me later.” you flash a small smile to her before walking out of the class. cedric waits for you to exit your class and when he sees you, he grabs your bag. the both of you walk down to the courtyard.
a month passes, which included christmas and the new years, finally reaching january. “ced, do you know what your next task is?” he brushes his fingers through your hair, “i believe it has something to do with the black lake.” you look up to think, “what can it be?” your eyes meet his and a smile arises on both of your faces. “my god, you’re adorable.” he says as he cups your face. “enough, it’s absolutely putrid to see you all lovey dovey.” you sit up to see draco, his face contorts into a snide look, “hey diggory, how’s the bet going?” you stare at draco, “what are you talking about?” he scoffs, “oh you didn’t know? diggory here made a bet with his friends that he could get a slytherin to fall for him.”
“y/n it’s not true, don’t believe them.”
it felt as if everything was going in slow motion. like you were falling off the astronomy tower and no one was there to catch you. your eyes appeared hurt but it was like you knew it would happen. you back away from the boys until you bump into a tall red head, “oi, you alright l/n?” not wanting to look at him, you shake your head, “no.” the yellow scarf on your neck stayed vibrant as you ripped it off and dropped it on the floor.
it was lunch time and you never left your shared room with pansy and daphne. the both of them stayed by your side, occasionally leaving to eat and bring you back food. you didn’t feel the need to cry so you just laid on your bed, feeling betrayed.
pansy and daphne finally convince you to get out of bed as you go to your last class of the day. watching the floor as you walk, you ignore the faces around you. you bump into a tall figure, not watching where you go. “y/n, it did start as a bet but i actually fell for you. i love you, don’t believe anything that weasel says.” he starts to say your name when you interrupt him, “but do you? or do you like the idea of having someone? because i really, i really needed someone.” you walk around him and let your feet lead you wherever, not caring about your final class.
walking up the stairs to the astronomy tower, the wind gusts blow strongly. you reach the top and stand by the railing. your eyes stay closed and arms open wide as the wind blows through your hair. you roll up your sleeves to see your dark mark, bulging and red, throbbing. you scratch at it until it starts to bleed with long strokes. draco walks up the stairs and notices you staring off lifelessly with a bloodied arm. going in and out of consciousness from blood loss, you fall over, luckily into draco’s arms. his eyes widen at your scratched up mark. he lifts you up bridal style and takes you to professor snape’s office.
you wake up and sit up in bed. you feel his presence in his room as you lay in his bed. “i appreciate your help,” you speak hoarsely, “but next time, just leave me there to die.” your arm had appeared to be bandaged up but you could still feel the throbbing from the mark. you grab your robe and shoes before walking out the door, leaving the platinum haired boy speechless.
people stared at you as you walked through the halls with your head down and bandaged arm. cedric sees you and jogs up to you. “y/n, what happened?” you let out a deep sigh, “cedric. i think we should breakup, it’s for the better.”
“y/n, no. our relationship started as a bet but i really love you.” cedric says almost desperately. “i do too. that’s why i have to let you go. the first boy to ever love me, my first kiss, my happiness.” you let out as a whisper. you peck his cheek softly and walk away to conceal your tears.
you spend the next couple of weeks in bed, only moving to go to the bathroom or eat food pansy or daphne brings for you. staring out the underwater window, you clear your mind of thoughts. with your mind fogged up with random thoughts, you don’t notice the two poeple sitting on the common room couch. raising your head, you notice them. “y/n! why haven’t you been attending your classes!” your father yells. you just reply with a simple, “i’m done.”
“what do you mean, ‘i’m done.’” he replies sarcastically. “it means i’m done with this bullshit-“ you barely finish your sentence before getting slapped right across your face, the slap echoing through the room, turning the heads of other students. your cheek bleeds from the cut your father gave you from his ring and you turn your head back to glare at your father. he pulls his wand out and corners you to a wall while sticking his wand on your neck. “kill me. kill me coward.” you let out as angry huffs of air erupts from your nose. you don’t let your stare leave your fathers until a figure steps in front of you. “mr. l/n, i’m going to have to ask you to leave.” your father scoffs, “got the malfoy boy on your side now? at least you’ve done one thing right.” your hand clutches you wand, shaking ever so softly. your mother apparates away with your father as you finally let out a shaky breath.
the cut on your cheek drips blood ever so slowly but you stare at the place your parents once stood. draco turns around to examine your cheek, he cups your cheeks in his hands. snapping out of your daze, you pull back and let out a soft thanks as you walk back to your room, planning on never leaving again. but before you could reach your door, draco pulls you into another awkward hug, mouth close to your ear. you squirm in his grip, “draco please, let-“
“run away with me.” you stop squirming at his offer. “we can run away to paris and live our lives out there.”
you gasp quietly. “what about school.” you whisper back.
“screw school. you can go to beaubaxtons. so let’s run away and never look back.” he continues to hug you and not let you reject his proposal, “we leave on saturday. so collect your things and say your goodbyes.”
the next couple of days, you pack and tell your friends about your leave. first you start with cedric, thanking him for loving you even though it started as a bet. next was pansy and daphne, for taking care of you when you were at your lowest. last was the golden trio, for not seeing the bad in you.
it was saturday night, after dinner, when you and draco gathered all your things and snuck through the castle. but before leaving, you told draco to wait for you while you visit professor dumbledore once more. you climb the staircase and see him jotting notes. “ah miss l/n, to what do i owe the visit?” you give him a secure smile, “i’ll be leaving hogwarts, professor. and i’ll be taking draco with me. i just wanted to thank you for being the best professor. i wish you the best with harry.” he flashes you a closed lipped smile as well, “as do i, miss l/n.”
you turn the corner to find draco frantically running. he spots you and runs up to you. “what’s wrong?” he pulls you into his chest, “i thought you left me.” draco pulls away from you and you grab his hand, “let’s go.”
draco buys two tickets for the midnight train as you walk around hogwarts station. by eleven thirty, the both of you board the train and sit in one compartment. draco puts your things into the storage as you stare out at the life you were leaving behind. for most of the ride, you stare out of the window while draco reads the daily prophet, both sitting side by side. you quietly lean your head against draco’s shoulder and grab his hand, gently, rubbing your thumb across it as you fall asleep.
the next time you wake up, you’re already arriving at kings cross station with draco now leaning against you and sleeping. he continues to hold your hand in his sleep until you wake him up. “draco,” you whisper, “we’re here.”
before you know it, you and draco has already traveled from london to paris, and arrive at his summer home. “we’ll stay here until we can move to somewhere else.” you nod and settle in his guest bedroom as he goes to his room.
that night after dinner, you lay on your bed and read a book. that’s until you hear screaming from the other room, which made you grab your wand and follow the noise. you end up at draco’s room and see him thrashing around in his bed. walking up to him, you sit on the bed and brush your fingers through his hair. “draco. draco, wake up.” you barely whisper. he lets out a gasp as he wakes up with tears sliding down his face and embraces you. “they were hurting you, and you were screaming, so loudly.” draco gasps in between each word. “i’m fine draco, i’m here, aren’t i?” he nods while sniffling, “so lay down, it’s alright.” he shifts and lays down. “i’m alright draco, so go to sleep.” you say as you stand up to leave his room. but before you could leave, he grabs your hand. “don’t leave me, don’t leave me y/n.” you nod and lay down next him. “everything will be better now, draco. believe me.” he hums a melody as you hold him close to your chest.
a couple years later, you wake up to a rustling noise next to you. he looks over at you, “oh y/n, did i wake you?” you shake your head, “it’s alright. where are you going?”
“i was gonna go make a breakfast in bed for you. but looks like you’re already awake.” you chuckle. “come back to bed.” you reply, “no, i’m going to make breakfast.” you pout at his reply, “i’ll let you be little spoon.” you speak again. his expression turns from a small smile to an larger one as he undresses again to lay in bed.
with your arms wide open, he lays down with his back facing you, curled up into a ball. your hand drags itself through his hair as your legs intertwine with his. he turns around to look at you and then snuggles himself into your neck. “y/n?” you hum, acknowledging his question, “i love you,” your eyes widen, “i love you so much. i couldn’t have done anything without you.” for the first time since you’ve met draco, he finally said i love you. small sniffles erupt from you as tears fall down your cheeks. not tears of sadness but of joyous happiness. your sniffles echo through the quiet room as he sits up to look at you surprised.
with tearful eyes, you grab his hand and rub your thumb across it before embracing him tightly. he leaves small kisses on your neck as you think of what to say to his first confession. you let go of him and imprint a smile on your face as he stares at you.
“thank you for saving me draco, i love you too.”
a/n: hi lol. no matter how many times i proofread this, it sucks in all honesty. sorry this post is so spontaneous, i had a ton of school work lol. anyways, thanks for reading my stories.

enough to share
mikasa x gn!reader // modern college au // fluff, classmates to lovers (?) // 1156 words
notes: y/n is the same height as mikasa in the fic, sorry i couldn’t have been able to write it properly if it was undecided D:
warnings: angry 🤬 levi and swearing?? that's it i think
"fuck," you muttered under your breath. wearing this low-cut shirt during late autumn was not a good idea, even though you had layered a thick zip-up hoodie over it.
you had just gotten out of your last class of the day, standing on the steps in front of the school building, waiting for your ride. silently, you cursed eren - he was late. again.
you realised your hands felt like they had frozen over. the numbness almost hurt.
why did i wear this outfit? you thought to yourself. i can barely withstand the cold. idiot.
sighing, you sat down on the ground and wrapped your arms around yourself, rubbing your shoulders in a futile attempt to warm yourself up.
it had been a tiring day. you barely got any sleep the night before because of the construction they were doing outside your dorm. the only thing you had eaten in twelve hours was a stale sandwich from 7-11. professor ackerman was in an incredibly shitty mood today - even more than usual. and to top it all off, the ungodly weather.
god, i really wish i wore a scarf.
"y/n?"
a vaguely familiar voice jerked you out of your wallows of self pitty, and you turned around to see your classmate, mikasa, staring down at you.
"shit, sorry, was i blocking the way?" your face heated up as you apologised profusely, jumping up to your feet.
ever since the two of you had been paired for a project last term, you've had a little - dare you say - crush on her. but she hadn't spoken a word to you since, and you found striking up conversations was basically impossible. oh well, you would outgrow it anyway.
all you could do was admire mikasa from across the lecture hall as she listened to the teacher intently, chewing on her bottom lip and tapping her pen against her notepad.
just a silly little crush.
mikasa was wearing her usual dark red scarf, the one that she used to keep her face covered from the eyes down. the only time you really saw her whole face was in the summer. and still, she managed to be the most mind-blowingly beautiful girl you've ever seen.
"oh no, don't worry. you just seem to be waiting for someone," mikasa murmured. "it's late. and cold."
"yeah, aha, i'm waiting for my friend to come pick me up," you said, forcing an awkward grin. "what about you?"
mikasa looked down at her watch. "i'm just waiting for professor to finish something up. he's giving me a ride home. then i got bored and came out here, i guess."
"professor ackerman...?"
"he's my cousin."
it felt like someone had hit you in the head with a hammer. no shit, sherlock. how did you never realize they had the same last name?
mikasa burst into laughter, throwing her head back so her silky black hair threatened to fall out of her messy bun. "don't worry, i didn’t expect you to know anyway."
a wave of relief washed over you, and you allowed yourself a chuckle.
the silence returned, and the both of you stood there for what felt like hours.
suddenly, she sneezed, breaking the silence temporarily.
"excuse me." mikasa's voice sounded thick, as if she had a cold.
you dug around in your bag for a bit until you fished out a smushed packet of tissues and offered it to her. she smiled and reached out for it, thanking you.
mikasa's fingers brushed over yours when she took the tissues from you. just that slight touch made your ears turn red.
"oh wow, your hands are freezing, y/n," mikasa said in surprise. out of nowhere, she wrapped her hands around yours, sending the blood rushing straight to your face.
"m-mikasa?" you stuttered as she started rubbing your hands. hers were impossibly warm and soft.
"ah, sorry." mikasa's hands dropped down to her sides. "i just noticed you were cold and i have a bit of an- instinct, y' know?"
you nodded and swallowed the lump in your throat, unsure of what to say. as much as you had panicked when mikasa did that, you were now regretting it, missing the comforting feeling of her fingers stroking yours.
“no, it’s okay, keep doing it. i really liked it.” the words were tumbling out of your mouth, your heart beating louder and faster every second. where the hell was all of this confidence coming from?
“actually, you’re still cold.” she said softly. “you can borrow my scarf.” mikasa began to loosen the fabric around her neck, but you stopped her hastily.
“i wouldn’t want to trouble you, please,” you babbled. “it’s freezing, and you should-”
the scarf had already come undone, and you could see that mikasa’s cheeks were red as well. probably because of the cold, you tried to tell yourself. but deep down, you couldn’t help but feel like it was coming from a place of... something else.
“there’s enough to share.”
you felt your breath hitch in your throat, and for a second, you stood there, dumbfounded. was she really saying what you thought she was?
before you could say anything, mikasa looped one end of the scarf around your neck, stepping closer to you, narrowing the space in between both your bodies than ever before. you felt like you were on fire.
“mikasa...” you faltered.
"y/n, do you know how much i’ve yearned for you? wished that you would look at me while we’re in class, wished that you would ask to be in my group for a project, wished that you would finally open your damn mouth and talk to me.”
“mikasa- that’s the thing. i have,” you said, your voice merely a hoarse whisper. “i can’t take my eyes of off you. i just- i’ve been yearning too.”
those stupid mesmerizingly grey eyes of hers widened in shock, her mouth gaping open in a little ‘o’. it was like mikasa was inviting you to lean in and kiss her right on her perfect mouth.
without thinking, you closed your eyes and shuffled closer to mikasa, your lips ghosting hers, your heart beating out of your chest until-
"y/l/n, what the hell do you think you’re doing?”
your eyelids flew open and you glanced quickly to your left to see professor ackerman standing there, briefcase gripped tightly in his one hand and umbrella in the other.
“fuck- i mean- i’m so sorry, professor,” you spluttered, trying to unloop the scarf around your neck.
“god, levi, you just had to,” mikasa complained, reaching up to release you from the tangled cloth. “y/n, i’m so sorry, can we talk later?”
“of course, mikasa,” you said, slowly backing away from the scene. “thank you. for... earlier.”
as you walked away, with no particular destination and your head still spinning, you brought a hand up to the nape of your neck.
it was warm.

being lupin’s daughter and a hufflepuff, meeting the weasley twins in first year and becoming best friends with both of them (like inseparable!) and then starts to date george headcanons
* When you wrote to your dad saying you became friends with these two boys, he didn't think anything of it. Lupin was just happy that you finally came out of your shell and made friends.
* Often times you would leave out all of the pranks and jokes you and twins pull when writing to your dad.
* Your dad would still find out due to the letters Professor McGonagall and Sprout sent to him. He just didn't tell you he knew. Why should he tell you stop when he did the same thing when he was younger.
* You loved having Fred and George around. They made you more outgoing and confident. They were also incredibly protective of you. They were worried people would take advantage of your kindness, even though you could take care of yourself.
* When your dad started teaching at Hogwarts, you dialed back in participating in pranks. Rather than participating directly in the pranks, you became the brains instead. If there was a flaw in Fred and George's plan, than you would fix it.
* Once Lupin started teaching, thats when he would try to hold you accountable. It was hard to do because the lines between dad and professor were a little blurry.
* He would also notice how George would stare at you in middle of the class. And how George passes you notes during classes. How close he stands a little too close you in the hallway to be considered friendly.
* Needless to say Lupin knew the George liked you waaaay before George knew.
* George finally realized that he had feelings for you he saw you tutoring a young Hufflepuff in the library. You sat across from kid helping him with his Defense essay.
* He spent a full year crushing on you before he did anything about it.
* During that summer you went and spent a few weeks with the Weasley family. It was filled with quidditch matches, chores, laughs and pranking Percy.
* When George asked if you wanted to go to the Quidditch World Cup with him and his family you didn't hesitate in saying yes.
* Once the tents were pitched the first night, George came into your room and asked to go on a walk with him. You threw on a light sweatshirt shirt over your tank top and the two of you walked around the camp grounds.
* George threw his arm around your shoulder and confessed that he fancied you.
* "Of course you do, I'm quiet a catch if I do say so myself." You looked up and George and stopped walking, "To be fair you are too."
* George laughed at you. "That's good to hear then," and kissed the top of your head. "Quidditch World cup is a pretty impressive first date though right?'
* You patted him on the chest, "You did good Weasley. You did good."
* Oh man when it was time for the Yule Ball, you can bet George went all out to ask you. You dragged you down to the black lake and set off some Weasley Wiz Bangs and asked if you would go to the ball with him.
* "We've been dating for months Georgie" you said laughing.
* "And? I wanted to ask you properly ya know, with a bang."
* At the ball George would not stop boasting about how he was there with the prettiest girl.
* "Let's be honest now boys, she is the best looking girl here. The girls from Beauxbatons are no where near her league."
* He literally showers you with compliments all night.
* Of course you send Your dad pictures of the two of you by owl the day after. When your owl dropped the pictures off to Lupin he was trying so hard not to cry. You just looked so beautiful and happy with George. Lupin is just happy that you were having a better time in school than he did.
* You can bet there were a bunch of rules though when you moved into the Order of Phoenix. You weren't allowed to be in George's room after dark or vise versa. So naturally, George broke that rule and just aperated into your room instead. For the first few nights, he gave you a heart attack. But you got used to it afterward a week or so.
* You can bet your ass George calls Lupin dad.
* Like he would just see him sitting there in the mornings reading the paper and he just say, "Morning dad" in passing
* Lupin ignored it at first but now he just sighs and says "Morning son"
* As the war started to unfold, your bond with George only grew stronger, and your dad knew that too.
* So after the Seven Harry's plan, where George got hurt Lupin and George had a little chat. You were lying with George all night on the floor next to him. After you were dead asleep Lupin walked by and noticed George was still awake.
* "How are you feeling George?"
* "My head, it's pounding, but sir, may I say something?"
* " Lupin leaned on the back of the couch and nodded his head. "I know we are young, but sir I do love Y/N. And with everything thing that's about to happen, bloody hell, after what happened tonight, with your permission, I'd like to marry Y/N"
* "Lilly and James got engaged when they were young too, they were in the same boat as you two. And quiet recently, I've learned that age is but a number. You promise me, you'll protective her."
* "I promise Lupin"
* He smiled down at the boy, "Guess you'll really be my son then. Merlin help me"

Hell Was The Journey
Summary: Max and Spencer's almost meet...two times before they do
Word Count: 1769
Authors Note: I love Max. I love Spencer and Max's relationship. I also LOVE Taylor Swift, so when I was listening to invisible string I couldn't help but wonder how that'd be a cute Maxcer fic. So here I am! I made a separate account to post this. I hope you enjoy!
p.s this isn't probably the first fic inspired by that song, but I am pretty sure it is the first Maxer one. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
4x8
Max let out a deep sigh as she checked her watch. She had an hour before she had to head to her student teaching placement, an hour she wouldn’t have if her professor didn’t end class early.
“Come on Max, let’s act like college students and do something on campus” her classmate Leah said.
Before Max could respond, Leah had already pulled Max off to a direction.
“You know we could be lesson planning. Or even better, go somewhere to eat!” Max grumbled as she would have preferred to spend the hour decompressing her teaching credential program’s tough schedule. Although she looked forward to seeing her students and loved being able to share the passion of art with others, Max still couldn’t help but wonder if this was what she was supposed to do with her life. She followed her mom’s advice about pursuing something she loved, but an art history degree unfortunately isn’t getting her job interviews.
Ignoring her, Leah stopped at a bulletin board that listed all the current events that were going on campus. “Max! They are holding an FBI recruitment seminar in a few minutes, we should go!”
“I don’t think the FBI will be impressed with my 5’2 stature and art history degree” Max snorts and shakes her head. “Besides, we are pretty knee deep in another career path.”
“I know that, but who knows who we’ll meet. Maybe some cute guys are interested, or better yet, maybe there’s some hot FBI agents here already. Let’s go!!” Without giving Max the second to respond, Leah at pulled her off to the direction of the building the FBI seminar was held.
They arrived a few minutes before it started. The presenter was an older man, who seemed to be already chatting with another attendee, who seemed to be dressed to impress wearing a suit and tie. It wasn’t until the younger man turned around that his holstered weapon was visible.
“What have I been doing wrong if he’s in the FBI. He looks about our age” Leah whispered.
Before Max could respond, her phone starting buzzing. Leah sent Max death glares as she picked up the phone, her brother-in-law Jared doesn’t call her unless it’s important.
“Hello?”
“Michelle’s in labor! We’re on our way to the hospital now. Meet us when you can!” Jared hung up right after his last words, probably calling the rest of the family.
After a few seconds of shock and the reality that her sister was going to be a mother, and Max would be an aunt registered, Max gathered her things right as the presenters started introducing themselves.
“Hello, good afternoon my name is David Rossi and I hav-“Leah looked at Max waiting for an answer as to why she was just leaving so quick.
“Sorry I’ll call you later” Max whispered, “let me know how it goes!” She slides out the door and starts running towards her car, knowing she will be meeting her niece or nephew very soon
10x9
Max couldn’t believe the news about her friend Jessica. Although her and Jessica haven’t been close ever since she went behind Max’s back and dated Mike Davis a week after they broke up, she was still horrified and saddened by the details of her death. Max knew that Jessica wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but she was a business owner, and her responses were always out of fear and stress about making ends meet.
She had already been in contact with other mutual friends she shared with Jessica, and she began scrolling through old pictures she had.
Max thought for a very long time that Mike Davis was going to be the man she’d marry. After a tough time getting a steady teaching job and losing her mother, Max so desperately wanted something she could say was hers. This led to her moving quickly with Mike and missing (and ignoring) the clear red flags. Even after the cheating and lying, Max was willing to forgive Mike. No matter how many times they broke up, Max always hoped for the day Mike would just pick her, and only her.
Feeling guilty about practically ending her friendship over a guy like that, Max sighed as she grabbed her keys to head to work. That’s when she jumped over her phone ringing.
“Hello?”
“Hello, is this Maxine Brenner?” a deep voice asked.
“Yes, yes this is her. May I ask who I’m speaking with?”
“My name is Aaron Hotchner, I work with the FBI and I’m calling to ask you questions about your friend, Jessica Harris. She had you listed as an emergency contact.”
Max’s heart stopped. She didn’t know. “Yes, yes of course. We haven’t been in contact as much, but I want to help however I can.”
“Would you be able to stop by our office this morning?”
Max bit her lip. She had already used all personal and sick days, and her current principal was everything but understanding. “I’m on my way to work right now, and unfortunately won’t have time until this afternoon.”
“I understand. Give me a second and I’ll connect you with another agent who can talk to you on the phone, and they’ll see if you should come down again this afternoon.” At the bureau, Aaron looks out his office window. He sees Spencer looking at the board of the case with the pictures of the victims and their location.
Aaron steps out of his office, enough for Spencer to hear him, “Hey Reid, I have a contact that knows Jessica on the phone right now, can you ask her some questions?”
Spencer doesn’t turn around. “I can’t right at this moment, I’m still putting together information about our other victim”
Aaron scans the room and noticed Anderson without a task. “Anderson! I’m gonna patch you with someone who knew one of our victims. If anything seems worthy have her come down this afternoon.”
Max twiddled her thumb until finally she hears another voice, “Hello, my name is Agent Anderson and I’ll be asking you a few questions about Jessica.”
During her entire commute, Max answered questions about Jessica truthfully. She winced when she realized she didn’t have many good things to say about her. Agent Anderson thanked her, and as of right now he doesn’t see a need for her to come down. Max thanked him and grabbed her things and walked towards her school. She knew her students would be able to make her smile.
15x4
It was Saturday morning and Max smiled as her nephew talked about school over breakfast. Her nephew was almost as tall as she was, but she still remembers how small he was when she first held him all those years.
She finally felt like she was in a good place. After many years of struggling silently Max got the strength to go to therapy and take the time and energy to truly heal. It was hard, she always found pride in her independence and her high walls. The decision to go wasn’t easy, but when she realized how much it was affecting her relationship with Sammy, she knew she had to go. For the first time, she talked about her childhood and the pressure of growing behind her sister Michelle’s shadow, losing her mother and her toxic, fast paced and short lived relationships.
For almost two years, she had been applying the advice her therapist had gave her. She took care of herself, began putting effort in her relationships with her family, especially Michelle, and instead of ignoring the topic of her mother, she talked and remembered her fondly. She even got in touch with a headhunter, considering maybe it was time to leave teaching and find something that was meant for her. The other day she even thought about asking her brother-in-law if any of his coworkers were single, but she didn’t because she still wasn’t sure she was ready for that.
“Max, can we get cinnamon rolls at the coffee shop we always go with my mom?” Sammy looked up with big puppy dogs eyes.
“Sammy, we just finished eating. You sure you have room?” Max raised her eyebrow as she paid the bill.
Sammy thought for a minute, “I actually don’t know. But the park is right there so we can always go there for a bit.”
“Mhhh,” Max thought for a minute herself. She looked out and saw that it was a beautiful day in D.C and she would appreciate more time with her nephew, “Alright, let’s swing by the park!”
When they got there, the parking was full. She did a few laps, and she was ready to give up, “Sammy, I don’t think it’s possible we’re gonna have to try again another time.” Max turned her blinker to turn on the road again to drop Sammy off at his house.
“Awe come on Max! It’ll be quick I promise!” Sammy gave his best puppy eyes and Max knew who would get their way.
She turned her car around and parked on a no parking area and turned to Sammy. “We have to be SO quick.”
Sometime past season 15
Max looked out the window of her dad’s house as she plans the summer programs for the Smithsonian. Spencer was teaching Sammy a new magic trick as the rest of her family preps dinner outside. It had been almost two years since that Saturday at the park. Something that wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t make that spur of a moment decision.
Spencer and Max had already realized the two times their paths would have crossed. It was more decisions that delayed their meeting, but they both agreed that they were supposed to meet on that Saturday. They had to go through things, change, hurt and grow to be the person they were today. The person that was right for the other.
Hell was the journey but it brought me heaven.
Max put her things away. There was something that connected her with Spencer, and today, she thanked that thing a little more. She reached her bag that had a positive pregnancy test. Holding it close to her heart, she thought back of all the things that had happened, and she would do it again to be with Spencer and grow their family.
Spencer saw Max walking down to join them, he grins and thinks to himself he will never get over seeing her. He still feels like that Saturday night when he found her again after waiting in the hospital.
“Took you long enough” Spencer says as he laugh

Headcanon - when someone strikes up a conversation with you

[ VICTOR ]
The fortnightly report in LFG is happening this afternoon. Dressed in elegant and intelligent work attire, your high heels click against the floors of LFG as you head towards Victor’s office.
Victor’s still in a meeting, so you have no choice but to wait for him in the office. A new intern carries a stack of documents and knocks on the door, and you give him an apologetic smile. “CEO Victor is still in a meeting.”
The intern waves using his free hand. “That’s okay, I’ll wait here... may I know who you are?”
Apart from Goldman, nobody else in LFG knows about your relationship with Victor. As of now, you aren’t ready to disclose it to everyone yet.
“I’m the person in charge of a TV production company.”
After hearing your self-introduction, he scratches his head and makes a request.
“Ah, I’ve heard of you. Miss, would you like to give me your phone number? I could let you know in advance if CEO Victor is in a meeting, so you can save yourself the trouble from making a trip here.”
You knit your brows. “I don’t think that’s necessary.”
“I happen to be responsible for addressing queries related to investments. If you don’t mind, we could talk about it over dinner?” Hearing your rejection, he immediately fires a second invitation.
“She minds.”
A mildly displeased voice drifts from the doorway. You turn, not knowing how long Victor has been standing there.
Surprised, you rush over to pull on his arm.
“I’m really sorry, I have dinner plans with my boyfriend,” you tell the intern.
Blood drains from the intern’s face. After saying a quick goodbye, he leaves the office hurriedly.
You lift your head and shoot him a smile. “Teacher Victor, are you jealous?”
He responds with a dark expression. “No.”
With a puff of laughter, you continue teasing him. “If that’s the case, I’ll have dinner with that boy then?”
“You dare to do that?”
It’s unusual for him to wear his emotions on his sleeves. Clearly, the attempt to steal what belongs to him has left him infuriated.
However, basking in the happy fact that Victor is jealous, you fail to notice it, and even tug on his arm. “Teacher Victor, you were jealous! Teacher Victor, your ears are red!”
“You’re prohibited from laughing.”
Presented with this rare opportunity to mock him, you won’t let go of this chance so easily. “Little Vic is just too adorable! Let Big Sister shower you with affection!”
“Looks like you aren’t clear-headed.”
You reach out to pat his head, even courting death by tousling it.
“No more pudding this month.”
?!
“Great Victor, I was wrong QAQ”
[ GAVIN ]
Recently, there seems to be a dip in Loveland City’s security, resulting in a spate of daylight thefts. Unfortunately, you were one such victim.
You didn’t tell Gavin about this, because he has been away on a mission for a week. The last time you were on the phone with him, he mentioned that he’d still need another three days. Not wanting him to worry, you decide to report the incident to the police station. The person who attends to you is a young police officer.
“Please describe in detail the situation during the time of the incident.” The police officer requests, his face slightly red.
“I was walking along Finance Street on my way home when a motorcyclist snatched my bag from behind.”
You do your best to convey everything that happened to the police officer, who then informs you that he will contact you should there be any developments in the case. Because of that, he takes down your phone number.
After a few days, you receive a call from a foreign number. Thinking it’s a business partner, you answer without hesitation.
“H-hello. May I know if you’re that lady who reported the daylight theft incident? We’ve caught the motorcyclist. C-could I ask if you... you have time this afternoon to drop by the police station to con-confirm that it’s your bag?”
Only after a moment do you realise that the person stuttering at the other end of the line is that police officer.
“Sure, I’ll go over at 5pm, is that okay?”
The officer’s voice seems to perk up. “O-of course! See you later then!”
You treat it as him simply being happy to have solved a case, so you don’t put much thought into it. After work, you head to the station and confirm that the suspect caught was indeed the person who had stolen your items. After filing in documents and retrieving your bag, you realise that apart from your money, everything else is intact.
Just as you’re about to leave, the police officer suddenly appears with a rose in his hand. “Miss, I... I like you. Will you... be my girlfriend?”
The confession, which came out of absolutely nowhere, leaves you stunned.
“What are the both of you doing?!”
Before you can react, a chilly and clear voice cuts through the air. It’s Gavin, who has just made his triumphant return!
The moment you see him, the many days of longing courses through your veins, and you lunge towards him, wrapping your arms around his neck, nuzzling your head into his chest. “Gavin, you’re finally back! I missed you so much...”
Gavin’s firm arms gently encase you, and his eyes brim with affection, his voice containing insuppressible tenderness. “I’m sorry. I came back late and caused you to worry.”
Shaking your head, you rub your tears onto Gavin’s clothes.
“Why are you at the station? Did something happen?” Gavin comes to his senses and looks at you worriedly. You explain everything to him.
“How are you? Are you hurt?” Mother Gavin’s first priority is always you.
Even after telling him that you’re completely fine, he still turns you around twice, verifying your state for himself before he relaxes.
“Captain G-Gavin, this is...” The police officer’s voice interrupts, his face pale as he looks at Gavin.
“This is my wife.”
The tone he uses with others is colder by several degrees, completely void of the warmth he has when talking to you. His glares piercingly at the rose.
The police officer visibly trembles. “I won’t disturb Captain Gavin and... Sister-in-law then.” He hugs the rose to his chest, dashing away from the scene.
You tilt your head upwards with a massive grin. “Captain Gavin~ Jealous?”
He coughs softly, rubbing his neck as he faces the side, with no intention of replying.
Seeing this, you tug on his tie, forcing him to lower his head. Quickly, you plant a kiss on his lips. The tips of his ears turn red, and his gaze shifts around unnaturally.
With the joy of someone whose prank was a success, you ask, “So, Officer Gavin, can we go home now?”
Gavin smiles, taking your hand in his.
“Mm, let’s go home.”
[ LUCIEN ]
Ever since you got into a relationship with Lucien, you’d attend his seminars when you have time to spare, becoming a regular guest in Loveland University.
After submitting a report on Friday and seeing that it’s still early, you prepare to head over to the university to make up for lost sleep listen in.
Walking into the large seminar room, Lucien gives you a slight smile from the lectern. After giving him a wave, you look for a seat and settle down.
Biological concepts of cells and molecules are gibberish to you. Paired with Lucien’s unique and gentle voice, you soon grow drowsy, your head bobbing. Seeing this, Lucien inconspicuously pulls open the curtains, inviting the sharp sunlight into your eyes.
Suddenly, someone pokes your back from behind.
“Classmate, wake up.”
You whip your head around - it’s a bespectacled male student.
“It’s really hard to keep up in Professor Lucien’s classes. You’ve got to pay serious attention!” He gives you a small smile.
You nod, straightening up to show that you’d definitely listen carefully. But not taking a nap on this beautiful summer afternoon seems to be a waste of this conducive environment. Very soon, you start dozing off again.
The boy sitting behind you proves to be stubborn. Whenever your head bobs slightly, he’d poke you gently to wake you up.
With his amicable reminders, you get through an incredibly “cheerful” lesson. After the class is finally dismissed, the boy gives you yet another poke.
“Classmate, could you give me a way to contact you? Next time, we could sit together during Professor Lucien’s class so I can wake you up when needed.”
You shake your head. Just as you’re about to reject him, a strong arm forcefully tugs you several steps backwards.
Turning, you see that Lucien’s standing behind you, holding a bundle of files. He wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you to him.
“Student, do you need anything? It’s been a while since class ended ^-^”
You know that when Lucien smiles this smile, things aren’t good. He’s definitely jealous again.
“P-professor.” The male student stares at the hand around your waist, realisation dawning on him.
“Wife, you didn’t tell me that you were dropping by my class. I would have reserved a seat for you.” Lucien crinkles his eyes as he looks at you, but all you feel is coldness creeping up your spine.
You laugh awkwardly. “...hahaha there's no need to. I was in LFG just now, so I came over since I have nothing on in the afternoon. There’s no need for special treatment...”
“I shan’t disturb Professor and Professor’s wife. I’m leaving now!” The student senses that something is odd, and immediately makes a strategic retreat.
Seeing that the hindrance is gone, Lucien sets the files down, trapping you in between his arms and the table. He nibbles on your earlobe gently.
“I think I saw a little butterfly and that boy interacting constantly during the lesson. How is the little butterfly planning to explain this?”
[ KIRO ]
It’s a rare occurrence for Savin to give Kiro a full day of rest. It happens to be Christmas, so the both of you have arranged to go stargazing at Lake Misty.
Dressed in a fluffy red dress, you arrive at Lake Mistry early. Chancing on a booth selling sparklers, you decide to buy some to give your little sun a surprise.
“How much is this?” You ask the boss, holding up a box of sparklers.
The boss is a young man. Upon seeing you, a blush tints his cheeks. “It’s $2 a box.”
You rifle through your pockets, realising that you don’t have cash on you. “Do you accept payment via WeChat?”
The man eyes light up, and he immediately says, “Miss, you could become a member by adding me on WeChat. This way, I’ll sell you a box for $1, and if you buy two boxes, I’ll give you another one for free.”
Hearing such a great deal, you agree. Just as you take out your phone and input the amount needed for the sparklers, a warmth envelops you from behind.
“Good evening, Miss Chips~ I’m sorry I’m late QVQ”
You turn to see Kiro, who is wearing a baseball cap and a mask.
“You’re not late at all! Ki... Mr Chips, look, I’m buying sparklers~”
“That’s great! Let’s go play~”
Although he’s talking to you, his eyes are fixed on the young man. For some reason, you feel a chill run down your spine. Soon after, he takes your hand in his and leads you away from the shop.
-
It looks as though the stars are right at your fingertips. You wave the sparkler in your hand exuberantly, while at the same time telling him about what happened at the booth earlier. Kiro seems to ponder on it for a while, but soon joins you in setting off the sparklers.
Three boxes of sparklers turn out to be insufficient, and they are expended quickly. After going for a stroll together, shoulders pressed against each other, Kiro sends you home.
You sense that the smile on your little sun has a hint of viciousness in it. But you shake your head, rejecting such a notion. After all, Kiro is so adorable, right?
-
When he’s back at home, Kiro flips open his laptop, fingers flying across the keyboard. He enters a string of code, then pauses.
He wears Helios’ fiercest smile on his lips.
-
The next day, in a phone repair shop:
“Sorry, we’ve never come across a phone virus which deletes WeChat contacts. I think you should check with another shop,” says the repairman to a certain young man.
[ SHAW ]
Hearing that there would be a performance in Live House tomorrow evening, you asked Shaw for a ticket. However, he claimed that all tickets had been sold out, and there weren’t any left for you.
-
This morning, while taking Shaw’s jacket for him, a well-preserved ticket falls out of the pocket. Picking it up, you wave it in between your fingers. “Shaw, what's this?”
Shaw freezes. He didn’t think you’d find it so quickly.
You give him a teasing glance. “And you still said there weren’t any tickets left. Did a certain person prepare one for me in advance?”
Although there’s a slight flush on his face, he grits his teeth. “I happen to have another ticket. If you don’t want it, forget it.” While saying this, he reaches out to snatch the ticket back.
You retract your hand quickly, glancing at the arrogant boy whose intentions have been uncovered. “Who says I don’t want to go? I happen to be free tonight, so I’ll reluctantly watch this little brat perform~”
“Do whatever you want!” Shaw heads out for practice, but it looks more like he’s fleeing the scene.
-
In the evening, you arrive at Live House. It’s even more crowded and bustling than usual. Finding the VIP seat matching the ticket in your hand, you wait for the performance to begin.
Although that brat has a sharp tongue, it can’t be denied that he is incredibly popular. The fangirls flock in throngs. You purse your lips, planning to head backstage to look for him.
When you stand up, a group of ruffian-looking men block your path.
“Miss, do I have the honour of offering you a drink?”
You furrow your brows. “Sorry, I have something to attend to, so I’m leaving.”
“Don’t do that. Our meeting has been decided by fate. It’s just a drink.” The man standing at the forefront doesn’t intend to let you go.
“Miss, it’s lucky for our Big Bro to even notice you. Don’t refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!”
Just as you’re at a loss for what to do, a voice appears from behind, almost bringing tears to your eyes. “Hey, what are you doing?!”
You instantly rush to Shaw, and this enrages the man. “Grab that girl and bring her to me!”
Shaw contacts security, an expression full of distaste. “Why would they let such rubbish in here. It really contaminates my eyes.”
Then, he pokes your head. “Why are you so useless? If I didn’t come look for you, who knows how you’d end up.”
You were already feeling scared and sorry for yourself. Hearing what Shaw said, your eyes redden. “Then don’t appear then! Don’t bother about me then!”
You twist around, prepared to leave. Shaw pulls you back, his voice slightly frantic. “Fine fine fine, I was wrong. Don’t cry.”
Your wipe at your eyes while pushing him away, wanting to leave.
He grips your wrist tightly, then draws you into his arms. “All right, stop crying.”
-
Loveland TV reports that yesterday, three men have been struck by lightning. One of them has suffered severe injuries, and it’s truly lucky that they didn’t lose their lives.
