Oh well, there is always next time.

Time after time, it becomes daily thing. That until this angel comes within your dream stating how heavy you are (Yup I call you non-weightless).

That not even the worst part, this guardian angel begged for you to let yourself be free from some "chain" of the earth. It seems there is something holding you back. The angel worries how this is the 659 times, asks to find whatever the thing to set you free and finally bring you to paradise before they could possibly be "fired".

This will not be the case.

You are not about to let this so called "Angel" to take you away from this stable life. You were far too young, too many thing are ahead of you that you're looking forward for. Now you live your life with a constant annoyance of certain angel trying to convince you why Heaven exceed living on earth.

The plot is up to you, it can be a slice of life having a supernatural being becoming a norm and introducing them to human activities and entertainment. Or Helping them by finding that unfinished business and a self-discovery journey. OR even becoming a nuisance not even being a help to the angel, and trying to prevent anything that excites in fear of going to heaven too early, maybe eventually giving in that or the angel trying to get used using trick and skill shifting event in the hope you break the chain (interesting story if I say so myself).

It was a calm, silent night. The first in a while after Yuki discovered his half sister and biological father. When he lost said father when he sacrificed himself to save his kids. Adding to the turmoil was that his boyfriend, Sergei had been more secretive and withdrawn then usual. Both had been busy even before Yuki had to rush to Japan. Sergei was a soilder, Yuki was getting his new club up and running, alongside his less then legal activity as the "Mocking Demon". Yet lately they had seen less and less of each other.

Shaking his head, Yuki brushed those tthoughts away. He had a job to do. A high ranking "diplomat" and her cronies had been terrorising the local honeless population. Snatching some off the street, all while keeping plausible deniabilty. Unfortunately for her two things got him involed. One,her minions hadn't escaped his intelligence ring"s notice. Two, a customer paid the demon a good deal of money to kill the diplomat.

Garbbed in his tactical gear, a full covering outfit, Yuki stared down the scope of his sniper rifle, signature mask popped up onto his head so he could make his shot. The woman, A Russian currently traveling to her car was right in his sights.

"Got you." He murmured, firing at her from a distance. It was clean hit. But did alert her guards. So Yuki popped his mask back on and ran...

Figured since I talk abt it sm I'd explain a bit abt our AU !

SETTING : Think endless deserts, worn-out wooden towns, and horses. Most towns are poor and struggling to make money whilst also fighting the rampant amount of thieves and outlaws. In recent years a new company called Meeple has been offering tech that seems to be the only solution to the bandits. If your town can't afford it... you might as well count yourself as doomed. CHARACTERS OJ - The leader of our main Bandits! Cursed to be born of glass, he was always looked at as weak. His one goal in life is to change that by becoming an infamous bandit, then no one will ever pity him again. He's overly confident knowing his career choice, havocked with the worst of luck- and fire somehow always seems to follow him. Burning all his past behind him. Very self-conscious about his broken glass. Yin-Yang - Part of OJ's bandit group. They can duel-weild a gun, and OJ is always stealing his hat to hide his crack. He tends to cause trouble, but is incredibly loyal. Light-Bulb - Also part of OJ's bandit group. She's a bit like an annoying younger sister for OJ, having been with OJ the longest. Very loyal!

Dr. Fizz AKA The Hissing Bandit - Not too long time ago the most infamous, feared bandit in the west was the Hissing Bandit. Not much was known about him, despite the fact you would hear an angry hissing noise before his perfect-shot! Now Fizz is trying his very best to to retire, by pretending to be a wandering doctor. It's a hard thing to do when you're stuck with Paper's group... But he can't help but want to stick with him. (Both are unaware of his past) Paper - The sherrif! And a childhood friend of OJ. He's lost his home, and now his childhood friend to bandits- But at least he has Silver and Fizz on his side.

Silver - Banished from his family for being spoiled, Silver-Spoon is not at all made for this whole 'adventure' thing. Still he has no where else to go but stick with the sheriff. He has ties with Meeple, and tends to make Fizz the most nervous out of the group. Paintbrush - Bad history with OJ. Neither of them like eachother, and as such are always arguing! In charge of their own group, and work for Meeple. Bow - Part of Paintbrush's group. She likes to sit up in Paintbrush's hair. Their deadliest member as she loves to claw and bite! Candle - Also part of Paintbrush's group. The actual one in charge really. She keeps the group from falling apart. Cobs - ?????? - Well liked for founding Meeple and it's tech. Lucid sees the massive angel rush him, closing the distance rapidly. Crying out in alarm the blue seraphim folded his wings and dropped straight down, trying to hide among the clouds for cover. If he can’t fight or flee, then perhaps he could hide. Most likely it was just a couple seconds of time to buy, but that’s all Lucid would need. With any luck the young angel just might have the chance to summon a portal to jump elsewhere.

Adam may be big, let's face it, compared to most he stands as a monolith. Didn't slow him down, not by any means. He is a ranked commander and the skills to back the title were required. Lucid, is no trained warrior, he's not even an angel built for fight training. He is not going to be a match for the larger soldier by any stretch, regardless of any headstart he'd thought he could manage.

new things I tried:

New fandoms! BG3 got me back into writing for fun before DA reassumed its throne, and I published HotD for the first time, too!

Smut! I published five smut fics on AO3, one on Tumblr, and another that will probably not make it out of the docs I'm gonna be real.

Long fic! Technically I've tried before, but writing Var Shiral'vhen with @theshirallen has been a pretty new experience as someone who mostly writes oneshots. It's been fun, though!

fic I spent the most time on: Var Shiral'vhen on the basis of it being a long fic. For one shots, probably The means by which art is made due it being my first attempt at Solian smut and that ship being very dear to me (and it was originally started back in like 2022).

fic I spent the least time on: I wrote Stronger Where it Breaks (Veilguard spoilers) after I beat DA4 in a short space of time. They will learn was also written similarly quickly.

favorite thing I wrote: I'm going to list multiple answers bc I deserve it.

I think it might be the unpublished Var Shiral'vhen chapter "Rift test take 2" just because I adore the Solas/Ian conversation in that chapter. It really encapsulates what I find fascinating about their dynamic, put them in a room together and they will start vibing even when I wasn't planning on it.

(Veilguard spoilers in the link) They will learn, a fic I mostly wrote for Joly but ended up getting more attention than I expected on Tumblr! I really enjoyed working with Elvhenan worldbuilding and I'm looking forward to doing more with the OCs I started crafting for the purposes of the fic.

(Veilguard spoilers in the link) The shape of you, a really abstract fic that's sex but also isn't sex. It was more a picture than words in my head so writing it down was difficult, but I enjoyed how it turned out esp since I didn't spend too long on it (it was like two sessions of writing).

favorite thing(s) I read:

(Veilguard spoilers in the link) keep my body from the fire (Solas x Felassan) by Almalexiasgf. I loved the depiction of Solas's [redacted] and Felassan's handling of it. It captured everything I love about the new lore surrounding the elves in DA4.

deus proditus (dame aylin & ketheric thorm) by @darethshirl. Such a neat exploration of these characters and their hostile relationship to each other, their love of Isobel, divinity/mortality. Highly recommended!

The History in our Skin (nb!lavellan & keeper deshanna) by @theshirallen. You were a fool if you thought I wouldn't include Joly in this. I love the pain and the peace in this, the impossible choice Deshanna saddles Ian (still a child but in choosing becomes grown) with. "There is no right answer" but only because the world is hostile to everything they are.

it ends, or it doesn't (felassan & an ensemble cast) by @dreadfutures I'm still making my way through this one (VG put a huge dent in my reading habit I carefully built over 2024 lmao) but I love Blue's Felassan POV and the worldbuilding they do for the Dalish/ancient elves. It's so inspiring, and the mystery is so good.

Mien'Harel (solas/felassan, solas & ensemble) by @bodysnatch3r Again, making my way through it, but Matty has such a great use of language and the worldbuilding is so good. I'm going to have my heart broken (more) when I continue I'm sure, but I'd highly recommend checking this one out.

these violent delights (Zevran x f!Tabris, Lucanis & Zev/Warden - Rated T) by @inquisimer. I love love love the Zev/Tabris pairing in this, and the playing off Lucanis is also excellent. I'd highly recommend it for its intrigue and character dynamics!!!
